REAR BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT FUNCTIONING.*YD
I WAS DRIVING ON A ROAD WHEN SOMEONE PULLED UP NEXT TO ME AND TOLD ME I DIDN'T HAVE BRAKE LIGHTS. ONLY THE SMALL TOP CENTER BRAKE LIGHT WAS WORKING. I WAS LUCKY THAT A STRANGER TOLD ME, I WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN THAT THEY WERE NOT FUNCTIONING. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS A SILENT RECALL. THEY HAD 3 OTHER VEHICLES IN THAT DAY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM BECAUSE IF SOMEONE ISN'T PAYING COMPLETE ATTENTION THEY WILL NOT NOTICE THAT A BLAZER HAS STOPPED UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE. I FEEL THAT THERE SHOULD BE A PUBLIC RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. IT WAS A SIMPLE FIX (IT ONLY TOOK PART OF ONE DAY). ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS PUT IN A NEW TURN SIGNAL LEVER. I THINK THAT ANY PROBLEM LIKE THIS SHOULD ALWAYS BE A PUBLIC RECALL, IT IS NOT FAIR THAT THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALERSHIP KNOWS ABOUT A PROBLEM AND DOES NOT TELL THE CONSUMER. PERIODICALLY THE VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT TO RIGHT. DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND DEFECT. THEN, VEHICLE BEGAN TO MAKE LOUD NOISES. WHILE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY VEHICLE SHIFTED VERY HARD TO RIGHT. CONSUMER LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE, AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE ON RIGHT. VEHICLE THEN FLIPPED OVER. GMC AND INSURANCE CO. CURRENTLY HAVE INCIDENT UNDER INVESTIGATION.*AK
FUEL INJECTOR WAS CLOGGED WHICH CAUSED VEHICLE TO STALL. CONTACTED DEALER, AND DEALER WAS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING.*AK
WHILE DRIVING MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING BRAKE LIGHTS TO GO OUT. SPOKE WITH DEALER. *AK CONSUMER STATED THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN 2 MONTHS, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART IN THE MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH IS FAULTY, THEREFORE CAUSING IT TO GO OUT. *JB

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FALURE CAUSING LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS TO BE INOPERABLE. DEALER IS INSPECTING VEHICLE.*AK TURN SIGNALS AND BRAKE LIGHTS INOPERABLE DUE TO BLOWN FUSES AND OPEN CIRCUIT IN TURN SIGNAL SWITCH, DEALER REPLACED FUSE AND TURN SIGNAL SWITCH AND BRAKE LIGHTS, THEN THERE WERE NO HAZARD OR LEFT TURN SIGNAL, FOUND FUSES HAD BLOWN AGAIN, FOUND A SHORT TO GROUND DUE TO IMPROPER POSITION OF HARNESS BEHIND CLUSTER CONNECTOR, ALSO SHORTED OUT NEW SWITCH WHICH WAS REPLACED. *SLC
THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM ENGAGES WHILE PARKED, INTERRIOR LIGHTS WILL THEN NOT TURN OFF AND DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LOCK.
ON MAY 12,2001 WHILE DRIVING WESTBOUND ON I-290, A CAR IN THE LEFT LANE CUT ME OFF. I SWERVED MY SUV TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT, AND THE TRUCK LOST CONTROL, TIP OVER ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND STARTED TO ROLLOVER. THE CAR STOPPED ON ITS TOP(ROOF). I HAD TAKEN THE CAR INTO THE DEALER SHIP ON 4/5/01 TO REPAIR THE STABILIZER LINKS/BUSHING, AND ON 4/10/01 THE REAR SPRINGS HAD TO BE RESEATED. I ONLY HAD THIS TRUCK FOR 2.5 MONTHS.*AK
TURN SIGNALS AND BRAKE LIGHTS GO OUT. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER WHO INDICATED HAZARD SWITCH WAS FAULTY. *AK
2001 CHEVROLET BLAZER DEVELOPING VARIOUS PROBLEMS.***NO ANSWER REQUIRED***. *MR THE DIFFERENTIAL PINION SHAFT SEAL WAS LEAKING. WHEN IT RAINED THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED, THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER WAS INOPERATIVE, THE LIGHTER SOCKET WAS REPLACED. THE HEATER WAS NOT BLOWING HOT AIR, THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THE BRAKE LIGHT WAS INOPERABLE, THE DIRECTIONAL SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE FRONT REAR ROTORS WERE ROTTED, THE REAR WHEEL WELL MOLDING WAS COMING UNDONE, THE DRIVERS WINDOW WAS LEAKING WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY, THE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED, THE TAIL GATE GLASS WOULD NOT LOCK, THE DRIVER DOOR DID NOT SHUT EASILY, THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE HEADLIGHTS WERE INOPERABLE. THE DRIVER SEAT RECLINER WAS REPLACED, THE RETRACTOR IN THE SEAT BELT WAS RESET. THE REAR WINDOW MOLDING WAS LOOSE. THE OIL COOLER LINES WERE LEAKING.*JB
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 45 MPH WOULD LOSE CONTROL OF VEHICLE. WILL NOT KEEP DIRECTION, AND WANDERING ALL OVER ROAD, AND WIND COULD FORCE VEHICLE OUT ON ROAD.*AK CONSUMER STATES AFTER REPAIRS, FRONT END IS NOISY. AIR LEAK IN VEHICLE. ROUGH IDLE. ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS. STARTER IS NOISY. HORN IS HARD TO PUSH. *SLC
CONSUMER COULD NOT OPEN REAR HATCH OF VEHICLE FROM INSIDE. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP, AND HAD THEM EXAMINE IT. DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO RELEASE MANUAL HATCH IN ORDER TO OPEN REAR HATCH, AND HAD TO REPLACE ACTUATOR FOR REAR HATCH. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS. *AK

WHEN THE CAR IN GEAR ON A HILL, IT WILL ROLL DOWN THE HILL AND INCREASE IN SPEED. THE CAR ROLLS SO FAST THAT YOU CANNOT SAFELY MAKE THE TRANSITION FROM BRAKE TO ACCELERATOR WITHOUT ROLLING SEVERELY, THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THIS FALLS WITHIN SPECS, THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE SERVICE LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED. *YH
WHEN SERVICING THE TIRES THERE WAS A LOUD POP NOISE. DEALER CLAIMED CAUSE WAS A LOOSE UPPER CONTROL ARM. DEALER REPLACED UPPER CONTRL ARM. SERVICE MANAGER STATED IT WAS SAME DEFECT AS MENTIONED IN RECALL 01V126000 FOR TRAILBLAZER, 2002. *AK *SLC
WHENEVER FOOT WAS REMOVED FROM ACCELERATOR PEDAL VEHICLE FAILED TO SLOW DOWN WITHOUT DEPRESSING ON BRAKES. VEHICLE HAD MANUAL 4WD. SOMETIMES WOULD INCREASE DUE TO GRAVITY. HAD TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT IT WAS NOT RESOLVED.*AK CONSUMER STATES WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS, SENSORS DETECT ERROR SIGNALS, THAT CAUSE THE SYSTME TO INJECT MORE GAS AND AIR SO THE VEHICLE DOES NOT SLOW DOWN. *SLC
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,I'M VERY UPSET AND DISSATISFIED FIRST OF ALL THE FIRST DAY I PURCHASED THE 2001 CHEVROLET BLAZER I HAD IT NOT EVEN A WEEK AND PEOPLE WHERE NOTICING THE DRIVERS SIDE MUST HAVE BEEN DAMAGED AT THE FACTORY,SO I BROUGHT IT BACK AND PHILLIPS CHEVROLET WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THIS ALSO,AND I AM LEASING THIS VEHICLE AND DEFINITELY WAS GOING GET BLAMED FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS DEFECTED FROM THE START.THEY WHERE GREAT THE EXCHANGED THE VEHICLE FOR ME AND THIS IS A LEMON ALSO I AM VERY UPSET AT THE FACT THAT THIS IS 4TIMES NOW THAT MY FUEL INJECTORS HAVE MESSED UP AND I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE 2 TIMES TO O'CONNER CHEVROLET WHERE THEY HAVE REPLACED ONE AND CLEANED THEM BOTH TIMES.SO THEN IT HAPPENS FOR A THIRD TIME SO I TAKE IT TO PHILLIPS WHERE I BOUGHT IT THINKING THE WILL TAKE BEETER CARE OF THERE VEHICLE,THEY CLEAH 3 INJECTORS 3 TIMES THEY SAID AND RESET THE CODES, AND TOLD ME TO USE SHELL GAS SO I DID THIS AND NOW EXACTLY A MONTH LATER MY ENGINE SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN3/29/02.NOW IM VERY UPSET TO WHERE I DONT EVEN WANT THIS VEHICLE. ALSO THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH HAS BEEN REPLACED.SO NOW YOU TELL ME SHOULD I BE HAPPY I DONT THINK SO.ICANT AFFORD TO KEEP TAKING OFF FROM MY JOB FOR THIS INCONVIENCE.WHAT A JOKE. *AK
THIS PROBLEM FIRST OCCURRED AT ABOUT 4600 MILES. I TOOK THE TIRE TO HAVE IT REPAIRED AT THE TIRE SHOP I USE. THEY TOLD ME IT HAD SOME BELT SEPARATION. I THEN WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER TO TAKE IT TO GOODYEAR. I TOOK IT TO GOODYEAR AND THEY TOLD ME THAT SINCE MY SPARE TIRE WAS ALREADY ON THAT I SHOULD KEEP IT ON AND THAT THE TIRE ONLY NEEDED A FLAT REPAIR. IN SEPTEMBER 2001 I STARTED TO NOTICE A SLIGHT THUMPING NOISE COMING FROM MY VEHICLE I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IN OCTOBER 2001 THEY REPLACED A FRONT WHEEL BEARING AND THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL BUT STILL THE THUMP. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A FLAT SPOT ON THE TIRE AND THAT I HAD TWO BAD TIRES AND NEEDED TO GO BACK TO GOODYEAR. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THE OTHER TIRE WAS BAD TOO, NOT WHAT GOODYEAR TOLD ME APPROX. 8 MONTHS EARLIER. I AM BEING TOLD THESE TIRE PROBLEMS ARE CAUSED BY MY DRIVING. I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE CASE, I HAD A BLAZER 3 YRS PRIOR TO THIS ONE WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND OF TIRES AND NOT ONCE DID I HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. *AK (TIRESIZE: P235/70R15)

VEHICLE RIDES HARD/ JUMPED UP AND DOWN, AND THERE IS A KNOCKING NOISES COMING FROM UNDERNEATH WITHIN SUSPENSION OF VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP TOLD HER THAT COIL SPRING INSULATED. INSULATED IS A RUBBER PIECE THAT SIT BY THE COILSPRING AND RUBS OFF. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK
I PURCHACED THIS VEHICLE DECEMBER 04, 2000 AND WAS CONFIDENT THAT I WAS BUYING A SAFE VEHICLE WITH A GOOD HISTORY.2 MONTHS AND LESS THAN 3800 MILES INTO SERVICE THE POWER STEERING FAILED. AFTER BEING TOWED TO A LOCAL CHEVY DEALER I WAS TOLD THE HOSE JUST FELL OFF. THEY SAID IT WAS REPAIRED AND I WAS ON MY WAY. LESS THAN 10 MILES DOWN THE ROAD IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE SHAFT SNAPPED AND THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS REPLACED. MY CONCERN IS THAT WHAT IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING AT A HIGHER SPEED OR IN AN OFF-ROAD ENVIRONMENT? ALSO, THE REPAIR MAN SAID HE HAS SEEN THIS HAPPEN TO THREE OTHER BLAZERS. PERHAPS THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS A DESIGN FLAW?
THE THEFT-DETERRENT ALARM GOES OFF FOR NO REASON WHEN PARKED AND LOCKED UP. THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE MOVES ERATICALLY, DOME LIGHTS AND FLOOR LIGHTS COME ON BY THEMSELF AND SOMETIME STAY ON FOR A LONG TIME AND SOMETIME CONSISTANTLY FLASH OFF AND ON, RADIO SHUTS OFF WHEN TURN ENGINE OFF(NOT SUPPOSE TO), AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR A FEW DAYS THEN JUST WENT OFF. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BCM #9385236 BUT VEHICLE IS STILL NOT FIXED AFTER SEVERAL VISITS BACK TO DEALER.
SPARE TIRE RESTRAINT FAILED TO REMAIN LOCKED WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS OR HOLES. ARM WOULD SWING OPEN AND OUT INTO INCOMING TRAFFIC WITH TIRE STILL ATTACHED, ALSO THE VEHICLE FISHTAILS AT VERY LOW SPEEDS WHILE DRIVING IN SNOWY WEATHER.*AK *MJ
PERIODICALLY WHEN BRAKE PEDAL WAS PRESSED BRAKES WOULD HIT FLOOR WITHOUT VEHICLE STOPPING. WHEN BRAKE PEDAL WAS RELIEVED, VEHICLE WOULD COME TO AN AUTOMATIC STOP REGARDLESS OF SPEED OF VEHICLE. THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED MINOR INJURIES TO CONSUMER. DEALER HAS NOT IDENTIFIED PROBLEM.*AK
