I was driving home and a truck overpassed me on a loose sand area causing me to have to make a sudden brake and my car due to the loose sand and rocks sing around and hit a power pole and the impact to the power pole that was on the corner bounced me car back and my car did a flip and it landed on its front bumper and ultimately rolled over 4 times down a hill and landed on all four tires during the impact front airbags did not deploy my whole entire front dash board exploded and fragments flew everywhere once my car festered to roll the side airbags dropped but did not inflate, at the moment that my car hit the pole my driver seat physically came out of place and and even with my seat belt on it throw me to my backseat and caused the seat belt to me twisted around me, this same issue was allegedly fixed by three way Chevy I had made a report during the time frame of June2023 when three way failed to fix my recall and fraudulently reported the recall repaired yet said no work was done to my car I was in contact with u guys already and this is unfortunately proof that supports my initial report to you from 2023 and need this investigation reopened
Gains speed on mild downhills. Request a feature to be called "Brake Saver" on all automatic transmissions. Depressing Brake downshifts if RPMs are low enough to reduce speed (2000-2500RPM, so next gear does not exceed 3600RPM). Taking foot off gas sets coasting maximum speed. If speed rises 5 km/hr 3 mi/hr the transmission downshifts to reduce speed to the speed the foot came off the gas pedal. Especially useful on Semis with Automatic transmissions.
The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was able to be restarted, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the wave plates had fractured and that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired and remained with the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 155,000.
I was driving my vehicle to school, and all the sudden i get a message saying "Engine Power Reduced!" as soon as that happened, my vehicle's speed decreased rapidly. making it hard to keep up at the same speed as traffic, I plugged my scan tool. And engine codes: P2138 and P2127 appeared on the reading. My check engine light is still on, and i noticed i see a flashing red color where my brake and gas pedal are located. I suspect its my Accelerator Pedal position sensor that malfunctioned or, my throttle body position sensor. but still I feel very unsafe driving the vehicle, the engine power is running extremely poorly. I would like to get a free Repair and Inspection of from A Chevy Dealer, I will continue driving the vehicle until the problem is fixed!
When someone sits in the passenger seat the airbag light/alarm goes on and off. My mechanic said I would need to take it to the dealer. I called dealer and they would need to diagnose if it is the seat belt or the seat weight sensor. Can cost upwards of $900. I just can't afford that. They should recall since I've researched so many complaints on this issue.

February 16, 2024 Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to bring to your urgent attention a potentially life-threatening issue regarding the 2011 SS Chevrolet Camaro. It has come to my attention, through personal experience and extensive research, that a hazardous situation exists due to a leaking gas tank in this vehicle model. Despite the gravity of this issue, the car's diagnostic system fails to detect any loss of fuel pressure or sense any fuel vapors, leaving unsuspecting drivers at serious risk. General Motors, particularly its Chevrolet division, has not issued any notice regarding defective fuel systems in the aforementioned vehicle model. This negligence is alarming, as the repercussions of such a flaw can be catastrophic, endangering human lives and personal property. Given the severity of this matter and the potential for serious injuries or fatalities, immediate action is imperative. It is my belief that this issue could affect model years ranging from 2009 to 2015, amplifying the urgency for intervention. One possible cause of this perilous defect could be attributed to the poor quality or substandard material of the fuel pump O-ring. Such a flaw constitutes a recipe for disaster and demands swift resolution. Furthermore, it is apparent that General Motors may be aware of this issue but has chosen not to address it, likely due to concerns about negative product branding and the associated costs of rectifying the problem. However, prioritizing profit over public safety is unacceptable and morally reprehensible. In light of the foregoing, I implore both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and General Motors to take immediate and decisive action to rectify this hazardous situation. LDrivi at 40 mph on a 45 mph street a car suddenly braked ahead of me I bumped my ignition key fob unintentionally when I went to react quick and went to brake and suddenly the car went off I went to swerve as quickly as I could to not rear end the person upfront but the wheel locked and it was so hard to turn that I even hurt my shouldn’t from trying to avoid the car in front but t ended with me crashing the vehicle rear right corner/sideswiped my car and front driver side airbag failed to deployed. 1 month ago three way Chevrolets denied me service for discriminationsl reasons and denied me the repair of u ignition key recall which was never fixed I never got a new programmed key they denied me the rep pair without me paying them 800$ and I couldn’t afford 800 so they denied me service and only gave me a blank uncut key or even programmed they admired to saying they couldn’t repair my recall so they didn’t follow proper protocols and reported. To you as repaired when service documents. Provided by them state they did not in fact repair my recall and denied me the service of the repair which unethical and put my life in danger and others i could have died or cause have liked someone for three ways Chevrolets unethical negligence and making failed reports for unrepairwd recalls
Car has new engine and transmission everything is new and well maintained, p2138 pops up throttle quits working causing me to almost wreck into another vehicle, I was stuck in traffic 1 hour waiting for a tow truck, 7 shops have worked on the issue and replaced every part including all the technical service bulletins provided here on the site and car is still doing the same thing. The electric system in the car is prone to these issue as is the ecm . Now it's either sell the car to someone with it being unsafe or spend another couple grand hoping to get it repaired. Chevys drive by wire system is a known issue with these cars yet no recall, why, why not recall and repair the issue or is our safety not a issue
I was driving down the freeway when I suddenly heard a knock coming from the motor. The engine blew a rod almost immediately. Parts and debris started shot out of the bottom of the vehicle. The debris hit my tires, causing me to swerve. I was ultimately able to maintain control of the vehicle and get off the freeway. My vehicle had to be towed.
WHEN SHIFTING THE VEHICLE FROM 1ST GEAR TO SECOND GEAR, THE VEHICLE MAKES A GRINDING NOISE AND STRUGGLES TO GO INTO GEAR. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT IT WHEN IT IS AT A HIGHER GEAR. ALL THE OTHER GEARS SEEM TO NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM SHIFTING.
TL* THE CONTACT'S WIFE OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON TAKING THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR AN OIL CHANGE, THE MECHANIC INFORMED HIM THAT THERE WAS A FUEL LEAK IN THE GAS TANK. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 116,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON A RURAL ROAD, APPROX. 55 MPH, TWICE MY DRIVER SIDE ELECTRIC SEAT STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD AND UP BY ITSELF. IT WILL NOW ONLY MOVE UP AND FORWARD NOT BACKWARD. THE SEAT IS NOW IN A POSITION WHILE DRIVING TO HIGH TO SEE SAFELY AND FORWARD WHERE MY FOOT IS NOW PUSHING ON THE GAS CAUSING UNSAFE CONDITIONS. SINCE THAT DAY (1/18/2021) GOOGLING THE INTERNET I SEE A SAFETY RECALL BACK IN 2014 FOR THIS SAME SAFETY ISSUE AND CAN HAPPEN ALL BY ITSELF. CAN I TAKE IT IN TO BE FIXED WITHOUT COST TO ME ?
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT WENT INTO A UPRIGHT POSITION AND I TYPICALLY KEEP MY SEAT SLIGHTLY RECLINED DUE TO MY BAD BACK/LEFT LEG. I CAN MOVE MY SEAT FORWARD POSITION, BACKWARD POSITION, UPRIGHT POSITION ETC... BUT FOR SOME REASON MY SEAT WANT GO INTO RECLINE POSITION VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE WITH THE SEAT IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. TO MY KNOWLEDGE THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM BACK IN 2014 AND MY CAR IS A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO LT COUPE. CAN I STILL TAKE MY VEHICLE TO A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER AND HAVE THIS ISSUE TAKEN CARE OF AT "NO EXPENSE TO ME.
ON AUGUST 18TH 2020. I WAS INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS 2011 CAMARO FROM TS AUTO SALES IN ORLANDO FLORIDA. THE SALESMAN NAME IS [XXX]. I ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS ANY EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE? HE SAID THE DRIVER SIDE WAS HIT AND IT WAS REPLACED. I ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE? HE SAID NO. AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I LATER FOUND OUT, THAT HE WAS NOT BEING TRUTHFUL WITH ME. I LOOKED THE VEHICLE UP, AND FOUND THAT THE AIR BAGS HAD BEEN DEPLOYED. WHICH IS A MAJOR SAFETY VIOLATION. I ALSO ASKED HIM WHY THE BATTERY WAS BEING DRAINED. HE SAID IT JUST NEED TO BE CHARGED. I TOOK THE CAR TO A STEVE'S AUTO ELECTRIC IN CLERMONT FLORIDA. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THAT THE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AT THE COST OF $3,500. THIS IS A REBUILD ABLE TITLE. YOU CAN NOT GET THIS VEHICLE INSPECTED IF ALL OF THE REPAIRS ARE NOT DONE, AND YOU MUST HAVE RECEIPTS FOR EVERY PART THAT WAS REPAIRED, OR REPLACED. THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE. TO MY UNDERSTANDING. IT'S THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEALERSHIP TO MAKE ANY MAJOR REPAIRS BEFORE SELLING A VEHICLE. CODE U0100 VEHICLE SHOWS REDUCED POWER AND STOPS WHILE DRIVING AND WILL NOT RESTART. ALSO SAY SERVICE STABILTRAK HAVE HEARD THAT A LOT OF GM VEHICLES EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM. VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE THE VEHICLES CAN JUST SHUT DOWN AT ANYTIME.
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT COME ON THE DASHBOARD STATING REPAIRS NEEDED & REGARDLESS IF SOMEONE IS SITTING IN THE SEAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT REMAINS 'OFF' IF THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR STATIONARY. TODAY I WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, THE AIRBAG WAS ON & ALL THE SUDDEN THE WARNING SOUND CHIMES & THE LIGHT WENT TO THE OFF POSITION.
ON THE 2010-2014 CAMARO THERE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE HVAC BLEND/VALVE DOOR. THE ELECTRIC ACTUATOR CONNECTS TO THE DEFECTIVE BLEND/VALVE DOOR IT APPEARS TO BE MADE OF ABS OR SOME TYPE OF PLASTIC. THE MAIN CONCERN IS THAT IN COLD OR RAINY WEATHER THE FRONT DEFROST WILL NOT WORK ALLOWING WINDSHIELD TO FOG UP OBSTRUCTING THE VIEW WHERE THERE IS NO VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM TO THE MOTORIST. THIS NOT A NORMAL WEAR PART. CHEVROLET HAS NOT OFFERED ANY TYPE OF WARRANTY TO REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT BUT WILL CHARGE $2700.00- $3500 TO REPLACE A $14.00 PART. THIS CAUGHT ME OF GUARD A COUPLE OF TIMES IN RAINY WEATHER I HAD TO USE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WINDOW AND MIRROR TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY.
AS I SEARCH THE WEB FOR MY HVAC PROBLEM AND LEARN THERE IS A DEFECT WITH HVAC BLEN DOORS. EITHER YOUR VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY COLD OR HOT OR POSSIBLY HOT ON ONE SIDE AND COLD ON THE OTHER. THE UNCONTROLLED HEAT CAN PUT YOU TO SLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL ON DRIVING TRIP. I BELIEVE GM IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT REFUSE TO RECALL. THIS NOT A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR PART. THERE OUR THOUSANDS OF CAMARO OWNERS WITH THIS PROBLEM AND THE DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING UP TO 3000.00 TO REPAIR. HOPE YOU CAN HELP!!!!!!

I OWN A 2011 CAMARO SS, I HAD 2 INCIDENTS , BOTH TIMES AT A LUNCH BREAK. WHILIE LEAVING WORK TO GO HOME FOR LUNCH , THE FIRST INCIDENT I WENT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AT APPROX. 15MPH . AS I BEGAN THE LEFT TURN UNKNOWINGLY MY CAR SHUT OFF POWER STEERING LOCKED UP AND I SLAMMED INTO CURB AND ENDED UP ON THE LANDSCAPE. THE SECOND TIME THE EXACT THING BUT AT A HIGHER SPEED APROX. 45MPH.AT THE BOTTOM OF THE VINCENT THOMAS BRIDGE HEADING WEST AS I APPROACH TO BEAR LEFT TO GAFFEY ST MY VEHICLE DID THE SAME EXACT THING, MEANING THAT THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED SENDING ME INTO A K RAIL., KNOCKING ME UNCONSCIOUS ,THE VEHICLE STOPPED 150 FT AFTER IMPACT. MY VEHICLE WAS TOTALED
I HAVE A IGNITION KEY RECALL, I HAVE CONTACTED CURRIE MOTOR CHEVROLET IN FOREST PARK, IL TO FIX RECALL. WAS TOLD THEY HAD TO ORDER A PART ON DECEMBER 9, I CONTACT AGAIN ON DECEMBER 21 STILL NO RESPONSE. MY ONSTAR ALSO REQUIRE I GET THE RECALL FIX
2 WEEKS AGO MY CAR WOULDN'T START, SO MY SON REPLACED MY STARTER FUSE. AGAIN THIS PAST FRIDAY DECEMBER 6TH, MY CAR WOULDN'T START. SO I REPLACED THE STARTER FUSE, IT BLEW 4 TIMES. I THEN HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO GATEWAY CHEVROLET & HE TOLD ME THAT THE FUSE BOX WAS BAD. BOTH TIMES MY CAR WAS PARKED IN A AREA.
THE STEERING WHEEL ALWAYS SHAKES AND GRINDS. THE BRAKES SQUEAL FOR NO REASON. THE ENGINE MAKES A LOUD NOISE AND SOUNDS LOUDER AT RUNNING NOW, I HADE IT LOOKED AT AND THEY SAID NOTHING IS WRONG THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG IT USES WAY TO MUCH GAS AND IT MAKES TO MANY NOISES. THE ENGINE JUST DOES NOT SOUND GOOD AND IT MAKES A LOUD GROUNDING NOISE.

THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE SPUN OUT OF CONTROL, STRUCK AND RICOCHETED OFF A PICKUP TRUCK, STRUCK AND RICOCHETED OFF A GUARDRAIL, AND STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS LOWER BACK WAS SORE; HOWEVER, MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT SOUGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAD NOT DETERMINED IF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE HEADLIGHTS ON MY CAMARO 2SS WITH HID HEADLIGHTS HAVE GOTTEN SO DIM THAT I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AT NIGHT BECAUSE THE CAR DOESN'T LIGHT UP THE ROAD AT ALL. I ONLY USE IT DURING THE DAY. IF I NEED TO GO SOMEWHERE AT NIGHT I HAVE TO USE MY OTHER VEHICLE. I WENT TO THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS $125.00 TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON. I'VE READ ALL OVER THE INTERNET THAT EVERYONE THAT HAS THESE CARS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I THINK THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE LIGHTS SO WE CAN BE SAFE WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEND $1500.00 TO REPLACE BOTH HEADLIGHTS.
WHEN DRIVING DOWN NORTHWEST EXPRESSWAY, MY CAMARO HIT MANY POTHOLES AND UNEVEN LANES CAUSING MY RIMS TO BE BENT AND CAUSING FLAT TIRE. CAR WAS GOING SPEED LIMIT OF 45 AND HIT A HUGE POTHOLE AND IT SOUNDED VERY BAD. PARKED MY VEHICLE AT WORK AND TIRE WAS FLAT AND RIM WAS BENT IN 3 DIFFERENT PLACES.
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AT 75 MPH SEAT BACK COLLAPSED ALMOST CREATING AN ACCIDENT. SEAT WILL NOT LOCK BACK IN PLACE. VEHICLE HAS 40,000 MILES
AROUND 60,000 MILES, THE 'SERVICE AIRBAG' WARNING BEGAN DISPLAYING FROM WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED UNTIL IT IS SHUT OFF. I AM INTERESTED IN SELLING THE VEHICLE, BUT WHEN I TOOK THE CAR IN TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO TAKE "$2,000" OFF OF WHAT WOULD BE OFFERED FOR THE CAR BECAUSE OF THIS AIRBAG PROBLEM. WHEN RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM, IT SOUNDS TO BE A RELATIVELY COMMON PROBLEM THAT OTHERS ARE HAVING - BUT EVEN MORE CONCERNING, IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS ERROR MAY DEACTIVATE THE AIRBAG ALTOGETHER WHICH IS A CONSIDERABLE SAFETY CONCERN CONSIDERING I DON'T HAVE $2,000 TO PUT TOWARD THE CAR TO RESOLVE THIS ERROR.

I AM TRYING TO SELL THE VEHICLE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE BUT WAS TOLD TODAY AT A LOCAL DEALERSHIP THAT THE VALUE OF MY TRADE-IN WOULD BE DECREASED BY $2,000 DUE TO THIS WARNING WHICH WOULD HAMPER ME FROM BEING ABLE TO AFFORD ANOTHER VEHICLE. I AM NOT ABLE TO AFFORD THIS $2,000, SO IT SEEMS AS THOUGH I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH A VEHICLE OF WHICH ITS AIRBAGS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING. I AM UNSURE WHAT MORE I CAN DO GIVEN THERE SEEMS TO BE MANY OTHERS WITH UNRESOLVED CONCERNS SIMILAR TO THIS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,136.

THE WATER PUMP WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE THERMOSTAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,416. *JS
I HAVE GOT ALOT OF SENSORS GOING OUT AT ONE TIME .NOW THE CAR IS OVER HEATING AND FANS AND FUILDS ARE GOOD . NOTHING IS SHOWING ON A COMPUTER FOR A CODE!
I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL IN 2015 REGARDING THE ADJUSTABLE SEAT FOR THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SEATS. THE RECALL INVOLVED A PROBLEM IN WHICH THE SEAT WAS FALLEN TO THE LOWEST POSITION. WHEN I RECEIVED THE LETTER, I DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, BUT IN MY ATTEMPT TO BE RESPONSIBLE I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. RECENTLY I FACED THE PROBLEM, THE LEVER TO ADJUST THE INCLINE OF THE SEAT IS STUCK, AND MY SEAT IS IN ITS LOWEST POSITION. IT'S INCLINED ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY SAID THE REPAIR WAS GOING TO BE COVERED THROUGH THE RECALL, SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. MY CAR WAS IN THE DEALER FOR 1 1/2 WEEKS, AND IT WAS NOT REPAIRED. I RECEIVED A TEXT AND THEY SAID IT WAS GOING TO COST ME $381 TO REPAIR. THEN I CONTACT THE HEADQUARTERS OF GM AND THEY EXPLAINED MY CAR WAS NOT GOING TO BE FIXED BECAUSE IT WAS CHECKED BACK IN 2015 (WHEN IT WORKED FINE). THEN THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO CONTACT ME IN 3 BUSINESS DAYS TO PROVIDE ME WITH A COUPON TO LOWER THE PRICE OF THE REPAIR. TODAY I RECEIVED A CALL FROM ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE AND SHE MENTIONED THEY DO NOT OFFER COUPONS. I ASKED EVERYONE FOR A WRITTEN STATEMENT EXPLAINING WHY MY CAR WAS NOT REPAIR AND THEY DID NOT PROVIDE IT; THEREFORE, I PLEASE ASK FOR YOUR HELP TO WORK THROUGH THIS RECALL AND GET MY CAR REPAIRED. FORTUNATELY, WHEN MY SEAT GOT STUCK IN ITS LOWER POSITION DUE TO THE LEVER NOT WORKING THE CAR WAS STATIONARY; HOWEVER, IT'S UNSAFE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITHOUT HAVING A SEAT BACKREST.
THE TIMING CHAIN ON MY CAMARO 3.6L WAS STRETCHED CAUSING THE ENGINE TO RUN ROUGH AND STALL OUT WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALERSHIP WAS WELL AWARE OF THE ISSUE BASED ON A SERVICE ALERT FROM THE MANUFACTURE. THE VEHICLE HAD 53000 MILES AND WAS REPAIRED AT MY COST FOR A KNOW MANUFACTURER DEFECT. HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE REPAIRED FOR SAFETY BECAUSE IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I BELIEVE GENERAL MOTORS IS ISSUING RECALLS FOR THIS SAME ENGINE BUT ON OTHER MODELS.
I STARTED TO HEARING A SCRUBBING NOISE EACH TIME I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL. THE NOISE HAS GOTTEN LOUDER. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED IF IT COULD BE RELATED TO THE RECALL AND WAS TOLD NO. THEREFORE, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN GREENACRES, FL. AFTER A TWO HOUR WAIT FOR TESTING, I WAS TOLD THE REPAIR WOULD BE $1377.00. THE SERVICE TECH URGED ME TO GET THE REPAIR DONE ASAP BEFORE IT WORSENS AND THE STEERING WILL BE INOPERABLE.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO A CAR SHOW AND STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. AS I CONTINUED ON AT ABOUT 3/4 THROTTLE O WAS SHIFTING GEARS AS I WENT FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR I HEARD AND FELT A LOUD BANG ON BOTTOM OF CAR. I LOST ALL ACCELERATION AND PULLED OVER. I PICKED UP THE PARTS FROM THE ROAD. AFTER HAVING CAR TOWED TO A FRIEND'S SHOP WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT ON A LIFT AND SEE THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT HAD EXPLODED AT THE MID POINT. AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION WE FOUND THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLES HAD BET COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND THE DRIVE SHAFT THAT WAS LEFT ATTACHED TO TRANSMISSION HAD RIPPED INTO THE TUNNEL OF THE CAR. I COULD SEE THE CARPET AND PLASTIC TO CENTER CONSOLE THROUGH THIS HOLE.

SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND DEALER WANTS $99 FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND UP TO $700 TO FIX. FOUND OUT THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND A LAWSUIT SO IT SHOULD MAYBE BE A RECALL! THE CAR HADN'T BEN DRIVEN FROM OCTOBER 1ST UNTIL MAY 1ST BECAUSE IT WAS IN STORAGE AND THE LIGHT CAME ON THE MINUTE WE DROVE IT.
