TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JONES CHEVROLET (1230 BROAD ST, SUMTER, SC 29150, (803) 720-9917) TO HAVE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT REPAIRED. THE SEAT WOULD NOT RETRACT BACK TO ITS NORMAL POSITION AND REMAINED STUCK IN A FORWARD POSITION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE VEHICLE REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
AROUND 100,000 MILES MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT, THE LIGHT JUST CAME ON, WHILE DRIVING ONE DAY. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE AIRBAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT AN EXPENSIVE PRICE. CURRENTLY RIDING AROUND IN A VEHICLE WITH FAULTY AIRBAGS FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
^ 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, BYPASS/LOCKOUT WILL NOT ALLOW CORRECT SHIFT FORCING VEHICLE TO HESITATE OR BE BECOME BOGGED DOWN. FORCES YOU TO 4TH GEAR OR 6TH. IN TRAFFIC THIS A HAZARD WHILE TRYING TO BUILD UP SPEED,FOR ON RAMP,MERGING,PASSING SOMETIMES CAR WILL STALL. ONLY TO CORRECT TEMPORARILY IS PULL ON SIDE OF ROAD AND STOP PUT CAR IN REVERSE THEN VEHICLE SHIFTS NORMAL FOR A SLIGHT WHILE. GM IS IN DENIAL!!! IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY AND CITY STREETS.
STABILITRAK SERVICE LIGHT IS ON AND ITS REDUCING POWER WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY TURNING OFF TO GET SOME GAS.
I TOOK THE CAR TO NASH CHEVROLET IN LAWRENCEVILLE, GA FOR THE RECALL WORK ON THE FOB (#14294).THEY PERFORMED THE WORK ACCORDING TO THE GM PROCESS. THE RESULT IS UNACCEPTABLE. NOW I HAVE A HOLE WHERE THE KEY WAS WHICH IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO DIRT AND WATER. SEE ATTACHED PICTURE. THE DEALER WILL NOT CORRECT AND DEFERS TO THE GM. GM WILL NOT CORRECT. YOU INITIATED THE CORRECTIVE WORK AND MUST HAVE APPROVED THE PROCESS. YOU ALL OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I'VE SEEN ON THE INTERNET A REPLACEMENT PLASTIC "COVER" THAT COULD BE INSERTED BUT WAS NEVER OFFERED THE SOLUTION. THE FEE WAS RUMORED TO BE $46. AGAIN, YOU ALL OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! DON'T YOU THINK A SMALL CIRCUIT BOARD OPEN TO THE ENVIRONMENTS IS JUST AS DANGEROUS NOT TO MENTION AESTHETICALLY UNPLEASING? TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STARTED THE IGNITION AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED, BUT WAS ABLE TO RESTART ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (JIM CAUSLEY BUICK GMC TRUCK, 38111 S GRATIOT AVE, CLINTON, MI 48036) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CHARCOAL CANISTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CANISTER WAS INFESTED WITH SPIDERS AND SPIDER WEBS THAT BLOCKED THE FLOW OF FUEL FUMES, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND WERE FAMILIAR WITH THE FAILURE. NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST COMPLETE POWER. THE SERVICE STABILITRAK WARNING CAME ON. WAS ABLE TO USE MOMENTUM OF CAR TO GET TO THE EMERGENCY SHOULDER AND COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. TRIED REPEATEDLY TO RESTART CAR UNSUCCESSFULLY. HAD CAR TOWED TO DEALER TO FIX.
SERVICE AIRBAGS ALERT IS COMING ON. THE CONNECTORS HOLDING THE SENSORS TO THE SEAT BOTTOMS ARE LOOSE AND WHEN ADJUSTED, THE ALERT GOES OFF. CAR NOW HAS 40,954 MILES. ALERT COMES ON WHEN CAR IS STARTED.
TOP SEAL ON THE RACK & PINION STARTED LEAKING. REPLACED THE SEAL TWICE THEN REPLACED THE RACK & PINION & POWER STEERING PUMP. THEN THE RETURN HOSE BLEW OFF WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE COOLER. PUT THE HOSE BACK ON WITH A BETTER CLAMP AND THEN THE HOSE FAILED. THE HOSE WAS JUST REPLACED & JUST WAITING FOR THE NEW POWER STEERING ISSUE.
THE DRIVERS FRONT WHEEL HAS A REALLY FUNNY FEEL WHEN TURNING LEFT IT DONT FEEL RIGHT.?MY TIRE SENCORS ARE NOT WORKING ON THE DASH JUST 1 TIRE WORKS AND TELLS ME THE AIR PRESURE SINCE I HAD THE CAR IN 2017?
78000 MILES, TIMING CHAIN ISSUE, SPUN ROD BEARINGS, AND LOW COMPRESSION IN THE ENGINE. OIL AND MAINTENANCE DONE ON A REGULAR BASIS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DID NOT GO ON, NO WARNING SIGNS, AND DID NOT AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF, KEPT RUNNING. I WAS GOING 40 MILES PER HOURS ON A HIGHWAY, WAS DRIVING AND STARTED HEARING THE ENGINE SOUND LIKE A TRACTOR TRAILER, HEARING BANGS EVERY 3/4 OF A SECOND. HEARING MULTIPLE REPORTS ON CAMARO FORUMS ABOUT THIS, AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE, CHEVY SAID IT IS AN OWNER ISSUE, I NEEDED TO GET MY ENTIRE ENGINE REPLACED BECAUSE OF IT. THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR 78,000 MILES ON A CAR, BUT I GUESS THAT IS WHY THEY BROUGHT THEIR POWER TRAIN WARRANTY DOWN ABOUT THE SAME TIME PEOPLE STARTED REPORTING THESE ISSUES. CONTACTED GM DIRECTLY AND THEY SAID THEIR WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT BUT MAKE A REPORT ABOUT IT, AND IF THEY EVER COME AROUND TO A RECALL THEY WILL PAY ME BACK THE COST OF THE PRIOR REPAIR.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.

TWO DAYS AGO WHILE DRIVING THE SERVICE AIRBAG CAME ON. I WENT ONLINE TO RESEARCH ANY REASONS WHY AND FOUND THAT MANY OTHERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AROUND SAME MILEAGE, RIGHT AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED. I ALSO NOTICED A LAWSUIT CONCERNING THE 2011 CAMARO AIRBAGS.01/07/2017. *TR
CAR WON'T START. DEALERSHIP REPLACE BATTERY. ONE WEEK LATER CAR WOULDN'T START AGAIN. HOWEVER, WIPERS, EMERGENCY FLASHERS AND LIGHTS TURNED ON WHILE IN THE "OFF" POSITION. CAR HAS BEEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES AND WE HAVE BEEN STRANDED "6" TIMES. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW AND HAS ABOUT 85000 MILES ON IT AND TOOK IT IN BECAUSE OF AIRBAG LIGHT BEING ON. I WAS TOLD PASSENGER PRESENT SENSOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WHICH CAUSES AIRBAG LIGHT TO REMAIN ON WHEN CAR IS MOVING. THIS IS RIDICULOUS I LOOKED ABOUT THIS CLAIM AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF CAMAROS WITH THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A $700 REPLACEMENT AND DOES NOT SIT WELL WITH ME AS I'VE ALWAYS BOUGHT CHEVYS AND NOT HAD ISSUES BEFORE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IF I HAVE TO PAY $700 TO FIX A SAFETY ISSUE THAT WAS DEFECTIVE WITH THIS VEHICLE AND SEVERAL HUNDRED OTHERS THEN THIS IS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT THAT SHOULD NOT FALL ON CONSUMER TO GET IT REPLACED. I ORIGINALLY HAD TROUBLE WITH THE AIRBAG SENSOR IN 2013. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER WHO STATED THEY WHERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY RESET THE SENSOR AND IT WAS FINE. NOW WITH THE VEHICLE OUT OF WARRANTY ANYTIME SOME ONE SITS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF THE WHOLE TIME I AM DRIVING. MOST RECENTLY IT HAS STARTED TURNING ON AND OFF EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS IN THE SEAT. RETURNED TO DEALER FOR REPAIR AND IT WILL BE $700 PLUS TO FIX. *TR
THE PASSENGER'S AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON THAT STATES THE BAG IS OFF. TOOK TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE SEAT SENSOR NEEDS REPLACED. CAR HAS 60000 MILES. CAME ON AROUND 52000. WAS TOLD THAT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOYED IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT UNLESS THE SENSOR WAS REPLACED. COST TO REPLACE $700.00. SEARCHED AND SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM ON THIS MAKE. RESEARCHED NHTSA WEB SITE AND THERE ARE CLOSE TO 200 COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME THING. DO NOT KNOW WHY NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED DO TO A SAFETY HAZARD. LIGHT IS ON WHERE MOVING OR PARKED.
I WENT OUT TO MY DRIVEWAY AND NOTICED OIL I NEVER DRIVE THIS CAR HARD IT IS BABIES AS WE SHOW IT SO I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT MANY OF US DRIVING 2010 TO 2012 V6 CAMARO HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE OIL FILTER ADAPTER HOUSING WERE THE HOUSING MEETS THE BLOCK THE SEAL IS DETERIORATING AND GUSHING OIL OUT I LOST A QUARTER OF OIL IN LESS THAN 500 MILES OTHERS HAVE SEIZED THERE ENGINES MY CONCERN IS WHAT IF WE ARE CRUISING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND THE ENGINE SEIZES IT COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH I HAVE FOUND MANY OF US COMPLAINING ON DIFFERENT FORUMS ABOUT THE OIL ISSUE
AT ABOUT 34,000 MILES ON THE CAR, I STARTED GETTING INTERMITTENT CODES WHENEVER SOMEBODY WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT ABOUT THE AIRBAG NOT BEING ACTIVATED. AFTER SOME TIME THE CODE WAS STEADY AND NOW THE AIRBAG REMAINS DEACTIVATED AT ALL TIMES, EVEN IF SOMEONE SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I DID HAVE THIS DIAGNOSED AND IT CAME UP AS THE PASSENGER AIRBAG MODULE, THE REPLACEMENT COST IS APPROXIMATELY $1,000. I HAVE ALSO DISCOVERED THROUGH A RELATIVE THAT HAS ACCESS TO THE MECHANICS COMMUNICATION BOARD THAT ALTHOUGH IT COMES UP AS THE MODULE IT IS A KNOWN WIRING ISSUE. APPARENTLY THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON THROUGH SEVERAL YEAR MODELS OF THE CAMARO. I DID REACH OUT TO CHEVROLET ABOUT THE PROBLEM HOWEVER THE ONLY HELP THAT THEY WOULD OFFER WAS TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP SO THE DEALERSHIP COULD CALL ME SO I CAN BRING IT IN AND HAVE IT FIXED. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND CHANGING THE MODULE DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WIRING SYSTEM. I'M A LITTLE OUTRAGED THAT CHEVROLET HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND YET CONTINUES TO USE THE SAME SYSTEM IN OTHER YEAR MODELS AND CHOOSES TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. SO AT THIS MOMENT I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH OUT AN AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHY THEY HAVE NOT BEEN HELD ACCOUNTABLE ON SUCH A SAFETY ISSUE.

THE SEAT FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE SEEMS TO FALL BACK RANDOMLY AND DOES NOT COMPLY. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP I WENT TO IT WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT DONE RIGHT AND THEY EAGERLY ADVISED ME TO TRY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I WAS PULLING IN TO MY CAR PORT COMING TO A STOP WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE CAR UNEXPECTEDLY LUNGED FORWARD THE BRAKES COULD NOT HAD IT AND MY FOOT WAS ON ONLY THE BRAKE.2 WEEKS LATER I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE COMING TO A STOP AND THE CAR LUNGED FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY ,LUCKILY NO ONE WAS ON THE SIDE WALK .I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR THE IGNITION KEY RECALL AND I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP TO LOOK AT IT FOR THIS PROBLEM ,WHEN I WENT TO PICKUP THE CAR THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM TEST AND FOUND NOTHING ,I SHOWED THE TECH THE POST ON THIS SITE ID NUMBER10638610 ,AS THAT POST HAS THE SAME PROBLEM ,AND IT STATED AT THE END OF THE POST THAT THERE WAS 2 RECALLS FOR THAT VIN NUMBER CAR PERTAINING TO WHAT LEAD/CAUSED THAT ACCIDENT ,TO SHOW THE TECH THAT GM HAS A FIX FOR IT ON RECALL AND THE TECH STATED THAT WAS ONLY FOR THAT VIN NUMBER ON RECALL AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO NOTIFY GM CORPERATE ON THIS ISSUE .SO I NOTIFIED GM CORPERATE THROUGH EMAIL ON THIS MATTER AND NOW WAITING RESPONSE ,THIS IS AN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION PROBLEM
I'M A OWNER OF A 2011 CHEVROLET AVEO . 65,000 MILES. I ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR ABOUT 15 MONTHS I HAVE CHANGE OUT TIRES TWICE SINCE I HAD IT , I GOT MY CAR FIXED ON 4 TIMES ALREADY ONE BEING SPARK PLUGS , THE CONTAINER THAT HOLDS THE ANTIFREEZE REPLACE, THE BRAKES, AND ALSO THE PART THAT HOLDS THE OIL THAT IS REMOVED DURING OIL CHANGE METAL WAS STRIPPED WHEN I WENT FOR MY FIRST OIL CHANGE AND I HAD TO GET THAT REPLACED...IT SLOWS DOWN GOING UP A HEEL AND ALSO WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT ESPECIALLY ON A HEEL. DRIVING ALONG 45 MILES AN HOUR WITH PASSENGER ,WHEN AIR BAG CHIME STARTED DINGING.AIR BAG LIGHT & CHIME WOULD COME ON & OFF , WITH OR WITHOUT A PASSENGER .REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT WITH ANTELOPE VALLEY CHEVROLET ,EXPLAINING ISSUE OF AIR BAG CHIME & LIGHT & ALSO REQUESTED TO HAVE 50,000 SERVICE SINCE MY MILEAGE WAS 48,296 & REQUESTED THAT BRAKES BE INSPECTED .SINCE I LIVE OVER 45 MILES AWAY I TRY TO COMBINE MY SERVICES.WAS TOLD AT THAT TIME IT WOULD BE AN ESTIMATED 2 TO 3 HOUR APPOINTMENT.ARRIVED AT DEALERSHIP 9A.M.ON JUNE 17TH 2016.EXPLAINED TO SERVICE TECHNICIAN MY ISSUES WITH VEHICLE , WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE AROUND 6 HOURS.WAS CALLED BY TECH.AT 10 A.M. TOLD MY BRAKES WERE AT THE DANGER ZONE ,I VERBALLY AGREED TO THE SERVICE.AT 3:12 I PHONED TO SEE IF IT WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP ,WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS JUST THEN BEING SEEN BY THE MECHANIC ABOUT THE AIR BAG PROBLEM ,TOLD IT WOULD BE READY AROUND 4:00. WAS CALLED BACK & TOLD IT WOULD NEED 2 PARTS TO REPAIR THE AIR BAG SYSTEM ONLY 1 OF THE PARTS WAS IN STOCK,, THE OTHER WOULD HAVE TO BE ORDERED & IT HAD TO BE DONE RIGHT THEN.WAS TOLD NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY ,COST WOULD BE &1385.00. CAR WOULD HAVE TO BE KEPT OVERNIGHT, REQUIRING ANOTHER 90 + MILE TRIP.
SERVICE AIRBAG RANDOMLY COMES ON. THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL COME ON THEN GO OFF WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING AS WELL AS PARKED. IT WILL STAY ON FOR RANDOM DURATIONS WHICH ALSO DISABLES THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS HAPPENS IN CITY OR ON HIGHWAYS.
AT 43000 MILES SERVICE AIRBAG AND CHIME APPEARED IN DRIVERS INFORMATION CENTER. LIGHT STAYS ON AND CHIMES EVERY FEW SECONDS. VEHICLE WAS RUNNING BUT NOT MOVING IN PARKING LOT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE THIS IS A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS. CONCERNED ABOUT AIRBAGS DEPLOYING ON THEIR OWN, OR NOT DEPLOYING IN A CRASH.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR AND AIR BAG MODULE WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
SERVICE AIR BAG SUDDENLY CAME ON AND WILL NOT GO OFF. THE CAR ALARMS EVERY FEW SECONDS AND FLASHES THE WARNING SERVICE AIR BAG. IT WILL NOT GO OFF AND PREVENT ME FROM SEEING HOW FAST I AM GOING ETC ETC. I STILL HAVE A WARRANTEE ON CAR BUT I AM SURE IT DOES NOT INCLUDE AIR BAG. IT IS SCARY TO DRIVE BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF AIR BAG WILL ENGAGE AND CAUSE ME TO WRECK. I AM TERRIFIED. HEATER AND DEFROST WORK FINE BUT AC WILL NOT COOL, SMELLS FUNNY INSIDE THE CAR AND MAKES NOISE WHEN YOU TRY TO TURN ON A/C. THANKFULLY ITS FALL.. NO RECALLS BUT FOUND LOTS OF COMPLAINTS ON THE A/C AND 2011 CHEVROLET CAMAROS. THE A/C STARTED SLOWLY GETTING LESS AND LESS COOL EACH DAY THEN THE LAST DAY BEFORE IT QUIT, THE DRIVER SIDE WOULDNT COOL AT ALL BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE WOULD. PUT IN REFRIGERANT AND IT COOLED FOR A COUPLE MORE DAYS THEN JUST QUIT COOLING. 75,000 MILES, HAD IT 5 YEARS 1 MONTH, NO WARRANTY. DONT WANT TO PAY THAT MUCH TO COOL MY CAR, WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER CAMARO! NOT HAPPY.
I HAVE A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO WITH A 3.6 ENGINE. THE TIMING CHAINS ON THIS MOTOR ARE KNOWN TO STRETCH WHICH MESSES UP THE EMISSIONS AMONG OTHER THINGS. THE SAME ENGINE IS IN A SATURN, GMC ACADIA, AND SOME CADILLACS. THESE THREE VEHICLES ARE COVERED BY THE RECALL BUT THE CAMARO IS NOT EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME ENGINE. LEFT WORK TO GRAB DINNER WITH A COWORKER WHO RODE IN THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT. AFTER GOING INTO PICK UP OUR DINNER MY COWORKER NOTICED FLUID ON MY PASSENGER SIDE FRONT FLOOR MAT. I DROVE BACK TO WORK AND CHECKED THE FLUID ON THE MAT AND IT WAS COOLANT (DEXCOOL). DROVE HOME AND CHECKED THE MAT AGAIN AND THERE WAS MORE FLUID. I USED A MIRROR AND FLASHLIGHT TO LOOK UNDER THE DASH INBOARD OF THE GLOVE BOX AND WITH THE HEAT ON AND FAN RUNNING FOUND FLUID LEAKING FROM THE PLASTIC PAN UNDER THE HEATER CORE.

THE PASSENGER CURTAIN SIDE AND DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AFTER MAKING A SHARP LEFT HAND TURN OUT OF A TURNOUT UPON TRYING TO REENTER THE ROADWAY. THE TIRES LOST TRACTION FOR A BRIEF MOMENT AND THE AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED OVER MY HEAD ON BOTH THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE SEATBELT PRETENSIONERS ALSO ACTUATED AND TIGHTENED VERY HARD. THE CAB WAS FILLED WITH WHITE SMOKE AND MY VISION WAS LOST MOMENTARILY. I WAS TRAVELING TO WORDS THE ROADWAY BUT MANAGED TO STOP PREVIOUS TO ENTERING THE ROAD. THERE WAS ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND I WAS ALSO BURNED AND MY NECK VERY SEVERELY INJURED DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE VIOLENT EXPLOSION RIGHT NEXT TO MY HEAD. MY LEFT EARDRUM IS ALSO PERMANENTLY RUPTURED DUE TO THIS EVENT. MY VEHICLE WAS LOCATED ON A MOUNTAN ROAD IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY 2. HAD THIS HAPPENED IN A CORNER ON THE ACTUAL ROADWAY THE CONSIQUENCES MAY HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE SEVERE. AGAIN NOTHING AT ALL WAS STRUCK DURING THE DEPLOYMENT AND NOTHING HAS BEEN HIT SINCE. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER THAT MORNING THEY GAVE ME A LOANER BUT STILL AFTER A WEEK HAD NIT EVEN LOOKED AT THE CAR AND INFORMED ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RENTAL. WHE N I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF BED I RETURNED TO THE DEALER RETURNED THE CAR AND TOOK MINE BACK. I CONTACTED LAWYER AFTER L LAWYER BONE OF WHICH WANTED TO HELP. I WAS FORCED TO GO BACK TO WORK AS I AM SELF EMPLOYED AND HAVE NO OTHER MEANS OF SUPPORTING MYSELF. THE PROBLEM IS STILL NOT FIXED AND MY MEDICAL ISSUES STILL PERSIST.

I WAS TOLD LAST YEAR THAT I HAD A BAD TRANSMISSION DUE TO WATER DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE AND THAT THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT I DROVE IT THROUGH WATER WHICH WAS NOT TRUE SO, I HAD TO PAY A $250.00DED OUT OF POCKET, AND $3856.97 WAS PAID BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY. NOT EVEN 2 MONTHS LATER THE SAME PROBLEM. THE CAR WILL DRIVE AND THEN IT WILL STOP ON YOU AND NOT CHANGE INTO GEAR. THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP ABOUT 8 TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY CAN'T SEEM TO TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. WHO CAN I CONTACT TO HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE SINCE THE MANUFACTURER CANT TELL WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEIR OWN PRODUCT.

VAPOR BEGAN COMING IN THROUGH THE AIR VENTS, ALONG WITH A SUPER-SWEET SMELL; THIS SMELL WAS LATER IDENTIFIED AS LEAKING ENGINE COOLANT. THE FRONT WINDSHIELD QUICKLY FOGGED UP, BEGINNING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, AND ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT CLEAR. USING THE VEHICLE'S DEFROST ONLY INCREASED THE WINDSHIELD FOGGING AND SEVERELY DECREASED VISIBILITY. FOGGING AND VISIBILITY IS WORSE WHEN THE WEATHER IS COOL OR IT IS RAINING, AND THE COOLANT SMELL INSIDE THE CAR CAN MAKE YOU SICK AND GIVE YOU HEADACHES. FOG-FREE WINDOW TREATMENT IS INEFFECTIVE. TAKEN TO THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER, THE CAMARO HAS A BAD HEATER CORE - TO FIX THIS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS ISSUE, THE CAMARO'S WINDSHIELD MUST BE TAKEN OUT ALONG WITH THE DASH AND SEATS JUST TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE HEATER CORE... AT A COST AROUND $2,000 AND OVER A WEEK IN THE SERVICE CENTER... BEWARE THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER CHEVY'S POWERTRAIN WARRANTY (THE HEATER CORE IS EXCLUDED). A RECALL SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR THE HEATER CORE AS THE HOT FLUIDS FROM THE LEAK CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ACCIDENTS.
