TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED. ALSO, THE STABILITY TRACT LIGHT ILLUMINATED DURING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIANS DIAGNOSTIC WAS UNKNOWN. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR IN SEAT IS DEFECTIVE, CONTINUES TO GO ON AND OFF WHEN SOMEONE IS SITTING IN PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR. OR WHEN I HAVE MY LAPTOP IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. CHEVROLET WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS A PROBLEM. IT APPEARS TO BE A BAD DESIGN OR DEFECTIVE PARTS. CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS THAT I KNOW OF AND NO KIDS USUALLY RIDE IN FRONT SEAT
I'M WRITING, BECAUSE I BELIEVE THE CHEVY CAMARO MAY POSSIBLY HAVE SOME FAULTY PARTS. TODAY THERE WAS A,DEADLY CRASH INVOLVING A CHEVY CAMARO THAT EXPLODED,ON IMPACT. APPARENTLY THE PASSENGERS,BURNED TO DEATH IN THIS VEHICLE. SINCE I MYSELF DRIVE A,2011,CHEVY CAMARO I WAS WONDERING WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS VEHICLE TO,EXPLODE. I GOOGLED "CAMARO FIRE IMPACT" TO SEE,IF ANY POSSIBLE RECALLS, HOW EVER I NOTICED,I CAME ACROSS SEVERAL ARTICLES ONLINE WHERE THEY STATED OF CAMAROS BURSTING INTO,FLAMES,UPON IMPACT, AND ACCORDING TO THESE,ARTICLES PEOPLE HAVE DIED IN THESE VEHICLES,DUE,TO,THE,FIRES. *TR
APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR AGO 2015 MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT SAID OFF AND HAS CONTINUED TO STAY OFF NO MATTER WHO SITS IN MY PASSENGER SEAT. AT THE TIME I HAD 2 RECALLS ON MY CAR TO BE FIXED AND I TOLD MY DEALERSHIP BOBBY MURRAY CHEVROLET AT THE TIME ABOUT THE AIRBAG LIGHT AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL ON IT SO I WOULD HAVE TO PAY MYSELF FOR THE DIAGNOSIS. I'M A SINGLE PARENT AND LIVE PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK AND ONLY HAVE 1 CAR FOR TRANSPORTATION, SO I'M UNABLE TO SHELL OUT THE $ TO HAVE THE AIRBAG DIAGNOSE AND REPAIRED. MY CAR WAS OUTTA OF ORIGINAL WARRANTY AND I HAVE ANOTHER WARRANTY BUT THE CO TOLD ME NO WARRANTY CO WILL REPAIR ANYTHING TO DO WITH AIRBAGS. SO I'VE BEEN WAITING TO SEE IF A RECALL WOULD BE ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM. NOW MY AIRBAG REDLIGHT ON DASH IS ON AND I'M ASSUMING IF I'M IN A WRECK MY AIRBAGS WON'T WORK I DON'T KNOW. I HAD 46,636 MILES ON MY 2011 CAMARO. I'VE TALKED WITH DEALER OVER THIS PAST YEAR TO SEE IF ANYTHING CAN BE DONE AND ALL THEY SAY IS THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE WATS WRONG WITH MY CAR AND WOULD HAVE TO TAKE APART TO FIND THE PROBLEM & I HAVE TO PAY. I'VE SPOKEN TO GM HEADQUARTERS ALL THEY SAID IS THEY'LL PAY A $100 TOWARD DIAGNOSIS. DON'T KNOW IF THEY'LL PAY TOWARDS THE REPAIR ANY. I DON'T HAVE EXTRA MONEY FOR PAY FOR REPAIR AND I'VE RESEARCHED OTHER PEOPLE'S REPAIR COSTS AND IT RUNS AROUND $700-$1000. PLEASE HELP ME. I DON'T WANT TO DIE IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE AIRBAGS DON'T DEPLOY. I'M ALL MY KIDS HAVE.

2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO CONSUMER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH RECALL REPAIRS *CN THE CONSUMER STATED SHE THOUGHT THE ISSUE WAS THE IGNITION. HOWEVER, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO HER, SHE NOTICED THE KEY FOBS WERE BROKEN AND AN ADDITIONAL KEY WAS ADDED, WHICH WAS VERY ANNOYING AND HANGING ON HER KNEE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE REMEDY WAS A CHEAP FIX. *JB
WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED THE PASSENGER & DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS COME ON. A MESSAGE APPEARS THAT THE AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF. *TR
BROUGHT MY CAMARO TO DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL 14294, IGNITION KEY PROBLEM. THE SOLUTION OF REMOVING THE BLADE FROM THE "FLIP" KEY AND ADDING A SEPARATE KEY CREATES A WORSE PROBLEM. ONE, IT WEIGHS MORE DEFEATING THE RECALL CONCERN AND TWO HANGS LOWER INCREASING THE PROBABILITY OF HITTING YOUR KNEE, AGAIN DEFEATING THE REASON FOR THE RECALL AND ADDING A POTENTIAL MEDICAL CONCERN. AND WE WOULD BE RECEIVING AN INFERIOR DESIGN TO WHAT I BOUGHT. I TOLD THEM TO CHANGE IT BACK BECAUSE OF THE ABOVE FLAWS. SINCE THEY STILL SELL THE CARS WITH THE "FLIP" KEY, WHY CANT THEY JUST REPLACE THE KEYS COMPLETE AND NOT JUST BAND AID THE PROBLEM. I BROKE THE BLADE OF THE "FLIP" KEY ON MY 2011 EQUINOX AND COULDN'T JUST REPLACE THE BLADE....A NEW KEY HAD TO BE ORDERED AND BOTH KEYS REPROGRAMMED AT THE COST OF $140. BOTTOM LINE IS THEY SHOULD REPLACE DEFECTIVE MATERIAL WITH SOMETHING EQUAL OR BETTER. AS CONSUMERS WE SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED FOR THEIR DESIGN MISTAKE....ESPECIALLY TWICE! *TR

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO RECALL PERTAINING TO THE SWITCH BLADE STYLE KEY. *TGW THE DEALER EXPLAINED TO THE CONSUMER, THE SOLUTION WAS TO REMOVE THE KEY BLADE FROM THE SIDE OF THE REMOTE HOUSING AND HANG A NEW KEY ON THE HOUSING ALONG WITH THE HOUSE KEY. THE CONSUMER STATED A HUGE HOLE WOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSING. THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS NOTHING, THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT. *JB
PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT AND ALARM SOUNDING. PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG SENSOR WENT BAD. WHEN A PASSENGER SITS IN THE SEAT THE SENOR LIGHT AND ALARM GO OFF AND INDICATE THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. THE SENOR AND ALARM CONTINUE TO GO OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING, TURNING THE AIR BAG OFF AND ON THROUGHOUT THE TIME THE PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER'S REMEDY SUGGESTION WAS INSUFFICIENT. THE CONTACT DID NOT AGREE WITH THE RECOMMENDED ADJUSTING OF THE DRIVER SEAT AND THE ADDITION OF A HEAVY KEY FOB. THE WEIGHT OF THE KEY FOB PLACED ON THE RIGHT KNEE MIGHT CAUSE MEDICAL CONCERNS. THE CONTACT COMMUNICATED TO THE DEALER THE CONCERN OF THE RECALL REMEDY SUGGESTION AND WILL NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED PER THE RECALL NOTIFICATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. I WANT TO INFORM YOU THE VEHICLE DEALERSHIP BLEW ME OFF WHEN IT CAME TO GETTING MY VEHICLE RECALL COMPLETED. THE FOLLOWING IS WHAT I WENT THROUGH WITH GARBER AUTOMALL, 3340 HIGHWAY 17, GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FLORIDA TO GET THEM TO PROCESS MY VEHICLE RECALL. AS THE CONSUMER I WAS STUCK BETWEEN THE MANUFACTURER OF THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE DEALERSHIP. AUGUST 2014, I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER ON MY 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO'S IGNITION KEY, RECALL NUMBER 14294. AT THAT TIME, I TELEPHONED GARBER AUTOMALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE RECALL COMPLETED. THEY TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS ?OPTIONAL? AND I DID NOT HAVE TO GET IT DONE, IF I DID NOT WANT TO. I RE-READ THE RECALL LETTER FROM CHEVROLET AND DID NOT FIND THE WORD ?OPTIONAL? MENTIONED. ON 28 OCTOBER 2014, I WROTE CHEVROLET, ATTN: JIM MOLONEY, GENERAL DIRECTOR, CUSTOMER & RELATIONSHIP SERVICES, POST OFFICE BOX 909989, MILWAUKEE, WI, WHO I RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER FROM AND TOLD HIM THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THE RECALL IS ?OPTIONAL.? I DID NOT RECEIVE AN ANSWER FROM JIM MOLONEY. THEN I STARTED RECEIVING POST CARDS FROM RECALL INFORMATION PROCESSING CENTER, POST OFFICE BOX 909989, MILWAUKEE, WI, STATING THEIR RECORDS SHOWED I HAD NOT COMPLETED THE RECALL SERVICE ON MY VEHICLE. TRUE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS ?OPTIONAL.? ON 15 JAN 2015, I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR 15,000 MILE MAINTENANCE. AGAIN, I MENTIONED MY RECALL AND WAS TOLD IT WAS ?OPTIONAL.? I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP I WANTED IT DONE BECAUSE MY RECALL PAPERWORK SAYS NOTHING ABOUT ?OPTIONAL.? ON 2 FEB 2015, I FINALLY GOT THE RECALL COMPLETED. SINCE GOING THROUGH THIS FRUSTRATION WITH MY FIRST VEHICLE RECALL, I CAN FULLY UNDERSTAND WHY CONSUMERS IGNORE VEHICLE RECALLS. I WAS READY TO PACK IT UP AND PURCHASE MYSELF A HORSE AND BUGGY. *TR
MY CAR BEGAN TO OVER HEAT CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO SUDDENLY LOSE POWER. ALSO CAUSED FOGGED WINDSHIELD .. THE HEATER CORE ON THE CAMARO FROM 2010 - 2013 ARE HAVING MALFUNCTIONS CAUSING THE CAR TO OVERHEAT AND OR SPILL BOILING LIQUID ONTO YOUR PASSENGERS FEET, IF YOU WERE TO HAVE A PASSENGER START TO SCREAM WHEN THIS BURNING LIQUID WERE TO HIT THEIR FEET WHILE WEARING HIGH HEELS OR SANDALS YOU CAN EASILY GET DISTRACTED AND LOSE CONTROL OF YOU VEHICLE FROM JUST SOMEONE SCREAMING OUT OF NOW WHERE, THERE ARE COUNTLESS STORIES ON THE CAMARO FORUM ABOUT THESE HEATER CORES GOING BAD.. OTHERS EXPERIENCE COUNTING FOGGED WINDSHIELD WHICH COULD CAUSE A VISIBILITY ISSUE AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND A VEHICLE BREAKDOWN CAUSING A ACCIDENT IF YOU BREAK DOWN IN HEAVY TRAFFIC... MY CAMARO IS AT THE DEALER NOW GETTING DIAGNOSED . BUT THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED AS A RECALL AND SHOULD BE.. *TR
GM SAFETY RECALL 14294, WE HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE IGNITION KEY PRIOR TO THE RECALL. WE TOOK OUR CAMARO TO THE GM DEALERSHIP, HAD THE RECALL TAKEN CARE OF. UPON DRIVING THE CAMARO AFTER THE IGNITION KEY WAS CHANGED DUE TO THE RECALL, IT IS NOW MORE OF A SAFETY HAZARD WITH THE KEY ACTUALLY DANGLING DOWN ON OUR KNEE/LEGS WHILE DRIVING. WE WOULD APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE PREVIOUS IGNITION KEY REFIGURED AS IT WAS WHEN WE PURCHASED THE CAMARO AS WE HAD NO PROBLEMS/ISSUES WITH IT PRIOR TO FOLLOWING THE RECALL INSTRUCTIONS OF TAKING OUR CAMARO TO THE DEALER. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SENSOR MAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V447000 (SEATS) EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR REPAIR. THE LETTER WAS RECEIVED IN JULY OF 2014 AND THE DEALER SCHEDULED THE REPAIR IN OCTOBER OF 2014. THE APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PART WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL FEBRUARY OF 2015. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I GOT IN, I STARTED MY CAR AT 5:30AM, ALL WAYS NORMAL. I PUT IT IN REVERSE GOT OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, THEN PUT IT IN DRIVE AND THE CAR STARTED SHAKING. I PRESSED THE GAS A LITTLE AND I SEAMED LIKE THE CAR WANTED TO TURN OFF AND THE GEAR GAUGE WAS GOING UP AND DOWN AND STILL SHAKING. I STOPPED PUT IT IN PARK, TURNED OFF THE CAR, WAITED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN TURNED THE CAR BACK ON, THE CAR WAS STILL SHAKING, THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD TO DRIVE TO WORK. IT WAS ABOUT 18 MINUTES AWAY, THE WHOLE WAY THERE THE CAR WAS STILL SHAKING, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON, AND IT FELT LIKE THE CAR DIDN'T HAVE ANY MUSCLE TO IT AND WANTED TO DIE WHILE DRIVING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO. WHILE DRIVING AT 75 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED, THE SIGNAL LIGHTS FLASHED, AND THE RADIO AND SPEEDOMETER FAILED. ADDITIONALLY, THE STEERING WHEEL VEERED TO THE RIGHT INDEPENDENTLY AND THE VEHICLE JERKED VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AND RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
WHILE RIDING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT SWITCH FROM ON TO OFF SETTING SEVERAL TIMES RIDING DOWN THE ROAD, IT WOULD STAY ON THE OFF POSITION FOR SOMETIMES AND THEN SWITCH TO ON SETTING, YOU WOULD HAVE TO TOUCH THE MENU BUTTON IN THE CAR TO GET THE ALARM FROM BEEPING. I CHECK AND FOUND THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SERVICE BULLETINS OUT ON THIS ISSUE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASE AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME A SERVICE FEE OF $110.00 BECAUSE THE CAR JUST HAS WENT OUT OF WARRANTY. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF BY GM. IF I AM RIDING IN THE CAR WITH THE AIR BAG OFF THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, I DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE MY LIFE OVER SOMETHING THAT GM SHOULD REPAIR AND HAS KNOWN ABOUT SINCE 2009. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS DEFECT TO REPAIR THE AIR BAG, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND LIVES ARE AT RISK. *TR
AC STARTED TO BLOW OUT REALLY COLD AIR (COULD SEE THE COLD AIR COMING OUT) AND WOULD HEAR THE COMPRESSOR BEING TURNED ON AND OFF AND THEN NO MORE COLD AIR WOULD BLOW OUT. TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE CONDENSER. PURCHASED A CONDENSER AND ANOTHER MECHANIC SAID THAT THE COMPRESSOR WOULD NOT TURN ON. RESEARCHED PROBLEMS AND SEEMS THAT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE CONTROL MODULE NOT COMMUNICATING WITH COMPRESSOR TO TURN ON AND OFF. I CAN NOT FIND ANY RECALLS OR A DEALER THAT WILL REPAIR THIS OR IF THIS IS EVEN WHAT IT IS.

THE AIRBAG NEED SERVICE ALERT CAME ON WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING AND I ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE NEXT MORNING I CALLED IVORY CHEVROLET AND WAS TOLD THE EARLIEST I COULD BE SEEN WAS MONDAY @ 8:30AM ,BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAD ONE PERSON THAT COULD FIX THE PROBLEM. I ARRIVED @ 7:45AM. AT 9:00AM I WAS ASKED, WHAT'S MY ISSUE AND AT 11:00 I ASKED WHY IT WAS TAKING SO LONG FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND WAS TOLD SOMEONE WILL CHECK. GUY APPROACH ME @ 12:00 AND ADVICE ME THAT THEY RESET THE SENSOR AND TO KEEP MY PURSE OUT OF THE CAR SEAT. THREE DAYS LATER THE AIRBAG ALERT & TIRE ALERT CAME ON. ONSTAR SYSTEM DO NOT SHOW DATA FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. I SPOKE WITH A SERVICEMAN @ IVORY AND WAS TOLD TO COME BACK IN. I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE AND REQUEST AN EXPLANATION. *JS
APPROACHING A THREE-WAY INTERSECTION WITH A STOP SIGN WITH INTENT TO STOP AND TURN RIGHT. VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WITHOUT ACCELERATOR INPUT FROM DRIVER. DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO BRAKE/STOP VEHICLE OR EFFECTIVELY CONTROL STEERING/PATH OF TRAVEL. AT THIS TIME, CAR BECAME AIRBORNE TO AN ESTIMATED HEIGHT OF 28' AND LANDED ON FRONT DRIVER SIDE OF VEHICLE FIRST. FRONT AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. DRIVER SUSTAINED A SERIOUS TBI(TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY) & CONCUSSION DUE TO BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA TO THE HEAD DUE TO LACK OF AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. OWNER STILL CONTINUES TO SUFFER FROM SIDE EFFECTS OF THE TBI INJURY AND WANTS TO NOTIFY THE PUBLIC THAT LIFE-THREATENING ISSUES EXIST WITH THIS VEHICLE. TO DATE, GM HAS ISSUED TWO MAJOR RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE PERTAINING TO WHAT LEAD/CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. *TR
I SAW SPOTS OF LIQUID ON MY DRIVEWAY AND WHEN I CHECKED MY CAR'S VARIOUS FLUID LEVELS, THE POWER STEERING FLUID WAS SO LOW IT DIDN'T SHOW ON THE DIP STICK. I CONTACTED MY DEALER SERVICE CENTER AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT RIGHT AWAY. THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE INNER SEAL ON THE STEERING GEAR HAD FAILED. IT WAS NOT DUE TO AN ACCIDENT, COLLISION, HITTING A POTHOLE OR ANYTHING CAUSED BY ME. THIS WAS A FACTORY FAILURE AND A PROBLEM THAT IS VERY RARE ON CARS WITH MILEAGE THAT LOW (SO I WAS TOLD). THE CAR WAS JUST OVER 5000 MILES OUTSIDE ITS FACTORY WARRANTY AND THE REPAIR COST ME $1034.07. FORTUNATELY, THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS NOT DAMAGED FROM BEING COMPLETELY OUT OF FLUID OR THE REPAIR WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN MORE COSTLY. THE MOST DISTURBING THING IS THAT I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING OF THIS PROBLEM AT ALL. IT WAS A SUDDEN AND COMPLETE FAILURE. *TR
I WOKE UP ONE DAY TO FIND THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON. I DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING OF IT UNTIL I WENT TO GET THE CAR INSPECTED. THE CAR WAS REJECTED DUE TO THE LIGHT BEING ON. THE DEALERSHIP, WHO HAS DONE ALL THE SERVICE SINCE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED, TOLD US IT WOULD BE $90 TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS CAUSING THE LIGHT TO BE ON. IT TURNS OUT IT IS THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR UNTIL THE SEAT, THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 32,000 MILES ON IT. THE PASSENGER SEAT HAS NOT BEEN USED ENOUGH FOR IT TO BE WORN DOWN. THE COST TO CURE THIS IS $729! FROM MY UNDERSTANDING THIS CAR IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THE ISSUE. MY DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAVE HAD ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH HAD THE SAME THING. WHILE TRAVELING 60 MPH MY CAR STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I SAFELY PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. CHECKED THE ENGINE COULD PHYSICALLY SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THROTTLE BODY POSITIONER IS BAD AFTER BARELY OVER 3 YEARS OF USE. WAS REDUCING SPEED FROM 55 TO 0, AFTER COMING OFF A HIGHWAY APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT, AND WHILE IN NEUTRAL "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" WARNING DISPLAYED ON SCREEN, VEHICLE BEGAN IDLING IRREGULARLY (BOUNCING BETWEEN 800 AND 1100 RPMS) AND THEN WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. WAS ABLE TO LIMP AT ABOUT 20 MPH UNTIL I REACHED A PARKING LOT, TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES, RESTARTED AND IT WAS FINE AGAIN. PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS RECENTLY, GM MECHANIC SAID THROTTLE BODY POSITIONER WAS DETERMINED TO BE AT FAULT. DRIVER'S SEAT BELT VERY DIFFICULT TO RELEASE
I WAS TURNING RIGHT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND THEN BY MISTAKE THE BACK RIGHT TIRE AND WHEEL HIT THE CURVE AND THAT MADE A LITTLE DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL AND THE WHEEL IS LITTLE BIT DIAGONAL. WORST CASE SCENARIO THE BEARINGS IS BROKEN. MY COMPLAINT IS WHY WOULD THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY THAT MOMENT WHILE THE IMPACT IS ONLY ON THE WHEEL? ALSO MY FRIEND WAS SITTING ON THE PASSENGER SEAT AND AFTER THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED THE POWDER THAT COMES OUT FROM IT GOT ON HIS SKIN AND HE GOT BURNED FROM IT, SINCE THAT IS A VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE BURNS IF IT GETS ON UNPROTECTED SKIN, AND IT CAN SEVERELY IRRITATE THE LUNGS IF INHALED. THE MAIN POINT IS THE AIRBAG SHOULDN'T DEPLOY IN A SMALL DAMAGE AS THIS, I HAVE SAID THAT BECAUSE I EXPERIENCED IT WITH 2010 S600 MERCEDES BENZ, THE DAMAGE WAS WAY WAY WORSE THEN THE ONE ON THE CAMARO. THE DAMAGE ON THE S600 WAS TO WHEELS BROKEN AND THE BODY GOT EFFECTED AND THE ACCIDENT WAS VERY SIMILAR TO THE CAMARO AND THE AIRBAG ON THE S600 DIDN'T DEPLOY AND MERCEDES HAVE BETTER QUALITY AND MORE SAFETY THEN CHEVROLET. I WENT TO THE ROYAL CHEVROLET IN WEST BROAD STREET RICHMOND, VIRGINIA. THEY DIDN'T TREAT ME WELL THEY WERE TALKING TO ME AS CHILD THEY DIDN'T EVEN INSPECT THE CAR THEY JUST THE AIRBAGS DID WHAT IT SUPPOSE TO DO THAT WAS BY THE SERVICE MANAGER. I TOLD HIM THE DAMAGE WAS VERY MINOR AND THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG SHOULDN'T HAPPEN HE DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING HE WAS TRYING TO FLIP THE WHOLE THING ON ME. I HAD JUST PURCHASED THIS CAMARO IN FEBRUARY, NOT KNOWING THAT THESE TIRES WERE NOT TO BE USED IN COLD WEATHER. LEAVING WORK AND THE CLUTCH STUCK WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR THEN THERE WAS A TERRIBLE BURNING SMELL AND IT STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THEN WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING 65MPH I DOWN-SHIFTED FROM 6TH TO 5TH FOR UPCOMING SLOWER TRAFFIC AND THE CLUTCH STUCK AGAIN AND THE CAR STARTS TO STALL. HAVING ISSUES WITH CAR MAINTAINING OIL LEVELS. 1ST INSTANCE DID OIL CONSUMPTION THEN FOUND IT WAS LEAKING FROM ENGINE SEAL, REPLACED THAT THEN ANOTHER OIL CONSUMPTION @ 1000 MILES LATER TO FIND OUT IT WAS LEAKING FROM SOME SORT OF PLUG, REPLACED THAT, ANOTHER OIL CONSUMPTION TEST @ 2000 MILES TO ONLY FIND OUT IT WAS LOW ON OIL AGAIN, GM TOLD THE DEALER TO DO A TOP ENGINE CLEANER ON IT. THEN GM REPLACED THE WHOLE ENGINE COVER ASSEMBLY AND SEALS AND INFORMED ME THAT YOU COULDN'T USE DEXTOSE FULL SYNTHETIC BECAUSE THE SEALS AND RINGS WOULDN'T SIT RIGHT AND THAT OIL WAS MADE FOR CORVETTES AND CADILLAC , THREE DAYS LATER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WENT BACK TO THE DEALER THEY JUST CLEARED THE CODE AND TOLD ME TO DRIVE IT. NOT EVEN 1/2 WAY HOME NOTICED THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE, CALLED DEALER AND TOOK IT BACK, FINDING OUT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS BAD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. REPLACED THAT. IT'S ONLY BEEN 2000 AND NOW THE OIL LEVEL IS ON THE END OF THE DIP STICK. WHEN SPEAKING TO THE SERVICE MANAGER HE SAID NOT TO GO BY THE OIL % LIFE ON THE CAR AS IT WASN'T ACCURATE. TO CHANGE AT 5000 MILES. BUT BEING AT THE END OF THE DIP STICK THE MATH ISN'T ADDING UP. CAR AT THE DEALER NOW AND GOT A CALL EVERYTHING IS IN SPEC PER GM AND IT'S BURNING 1 QT PER 2000 MILES, NOTHINGS WRONG. CLEARLY YOU CAN SEE OIL RESIDUE ON THE ALTERNATOR AND BRAND NEW ENGINE COVER THEY JUST PUT ON. *JB

I'VE BEEN TOLD PUTTING A LAP TOP ON THE PASSENGER SEAT COULD SET OFF THE SENSOR.....A BLUE-TOOTH CALL COULD SET OFF THE SENSOR, BUT NOT WHY? MOST RECENT TRIP (#5) TO HENDRICKS MOTORS WAS 04/24/2014. WE PICKED THE CAR UP, RAN ERRANDS (APPX. 40 MILES) AND THE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN - THE SAME DAY! I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE AIR BAGS WILL STILL DEPLOY, THE AIR BAGS MIGHT DEPLOY, AND THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY, AS LONG AS THE SERVICE LIGHT IS ON. WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP? I AM TRYING TO DOCUMENT EVERYTHING IN CASE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT AND THE BAGS DON'T DEPLOY.

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
JUST PICKED UP CAR. IT WAS IN SHOP FOR TWO DAYS. CAR HAD A GRINDING AND SQUEALING IN THE STEERING. GM TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TOLD THEM THE DISCONNECT SHAFT TO SEE WHERE NOISE WAS COMING FROM. DEALER HAD TO REPLACE ANGLE SENSOR AND SRS COIL FOR THE AIR BAG. PICK UP CAR AND WAS LIKE NEW AGAIN FOR ABOUT 35 MILE. I WAS BACKING INTO DRIVE WAY AND HEARD A SNAP FROM THE STEERING. NOW THE NOISE IS BACK AND STEERING IS WOBBLY AND CLUNKING ALONG WITH A STRONG SMELL OF POWER STEERING FLUID! I HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK TOMORROW FOR THEIR 4TH ATTEMPT, NEXT STEP LEMON LAWYER! *TR
