Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 90,480, and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 141,510.
I am experiencing similar issues to those identified in GM bulletin 07-06-04-019F. I keep getting DTC P2138. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The throttle/accelerator system. Yes. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The Accelerator Pedal Position signal is unreliable which is now derating my engine. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings prior to the failure. I just get the DTC and an engine derate message along with "service stabilitrack"
The air bags aren't working properly. They initially fixed a prior issue with my air bags long ago. However this issue has persisted. I think these cars have major issues with our air bags.
Air bag on passenger side. transmission stared vibration brought in they repair it . This was still under warranty at the time. Now it doing it again. Seat they want change driver side motor . I fix it myself .it was the switch.
255/55/R18 normal driving was admiring car one day and noticed this bad spot on it. I do not ever spin my tires or "hot rod"my car. It has the v6 and traction control to keep it from spinning. Unsure of how or why the tire has this bad spot.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer and was diagnosed with a defective timing chain and gear. The contact was informed that the timing chain and gear needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was provided a case number. After repeated calls to the manufacturer, the manufacturer helped with the repair. The vehicle had been repaired. The failure mileage was 75,559.
car only has today 46,500 miles and passenger airbag sensor stopped working last year,started intermittenly working after 30,000 miles and now completely not working, repeated problem for all chevy Camaros having this problem with few miles on cars and barely any passengers sitting in seat to activate use.

My car was in a wreck due to a recall I thought was fixed with my airbags and safety
Driver side rear floor area floods every single time it rains. It's been like this since I owned the car. I have a 2012 convertible camaro
Ignition gets stuck in on position after key is removed. Ignition does not cut on radio at times. I have to open the door to reset Ignition system so radio can play. Faulty Ignition switch needs replacing
Vehicle shakes badly when it wants to stalls without any symptoms. All of a sudden the car makes metal rod knocking and scraping sounds i checked oil and it was gone. No oil leaks fresh oil metallic color in engine oil. Just financed this vehicle 2011 chevy camaro with 50,000 miles and don’t have a warranty. A car engine should not seize out of the blue at low miles and no oil pressure light indicated low or no oil. Very dangerous i lost acceleration going up hill and totally stalled. This needs to be fixed and recalled especially oil pressure light should of illuminated

MY DRIVER SEAT DIPPED AND THEN IT WON'T GO BACK UP TO SIT ME IN A HIGHER POSITION FOR MY HEIGHT . I WAS TURNING AND IT HAPPENED LUCKILY IT DIDN'T DROP TO FLOOR I'M GLAD IT DIDN'T I HAD BEEN DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AND COME OFF EXIT TO GAS AND BATHROOM BREAK
THE BLEND DOOR IS BROKEN CAUSING THE CAR TO STAY BLOWING COLD AIR WHILE DRIVING AND SITTING STILL. I CAN NOT USE THE DEFROSTER WHICH FOGS THE WINDSHIELD AND I CAN NOT SEE OUT.
WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, IT DOES NOT ACCELERATE AND MAKES A CLICKING NOISE WHEN STARTING THE ENGINE. WHEN DRIVEN, THE LIGHT COMES ON IN THE CAR STAYING LOW OIL PRESSURE, TURN ENGINE OFF NOW. ENGINE FAILURE. MECHANIC STATED IT IS THE TIMING CHAIN.
WHEN IT RAINS AND/OR WASH THE VEHICLE THE BACK FLOOR BOARD FILLS UP WITH WATER. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IN IN MOTION AND/OR SITTING STILL.
COMMON PROBLEM REPORTED BY MANY ONLINE REGARDING HEATER CORE / TEMPERATURE BLEND DOOR BEING CRACKED. DASHBOARD AND WINDSHIELD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED TO FIX CRACK PLASTIC TRAY COSTING OVER $2000. EMITS FUMES AND CAUSES FOGGED WINDSHIELD PRODUCING LOW VISIBILITY. CAR IS FAIRLY GOOD CONDITION 2012 AND I USE BUS COMMUTE TO WORK, LOW MILEAGE.
TL* THE CONTACT'S SON OWNED A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED AND CRASHED INTO A WOODEN FENCE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER WHERE IT WAS CONSIDERED A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 122,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BLEND DOOR IN THE HEATER AND AIR CONDITION UNIT FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. THIS FAILURE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO NOT PROVIDE HOT AIR INSIDE THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE, AND ALSO AFFECTED THE OPERATION OF THE DEFROSTER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ENGINE TROUBLE (IN MOTION). SEAT ADJUSTMENT (BOTH STATIONERY AND IN MOTION)
COOLANT LEAKING FROM THE WATER PUMP AREA AND THE WATER PUMP AREA AND THE WATER OUTLET THAT SITS ABOVE THE WATER PUMP. TIMING COVER GASKET: THE FRONT COVER IS LEAKING OIL. MAJOR PROBLEM IS THE BACK SIGNAL LIGHTS. MAJOR PROBLEMS IS THE TRUNK LEAKING WATER AND BULB SOCKETS ARE GETTING CORRODED. BOTH THE REAR TAIL LAMPS HAVE WATER IN THEM AND HAVE DAMAGED THE SOCKETS FOR THE OUTER BULBS. NEEDS BOTH TAIL LAMPS AND HARNESSES REPLACED. THIS COULD CAUSE REAR END ACCIDENTS ON THE HWY. I HAVE DOCUMENTS FROM DAN VADEN CHEVROLET 912-925-9393 (MR[XXX]) AND GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATE OFFICE IN MICHIGAN, EXECUTIVE OFFICE (MR. [XXX]) 12/30/2019 CONCERNING THESE ISSUES. DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG -WARNING LIGHT STATES "SERVICE AIR BAG" THIS IS NOT IN THE VIN RANGE FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING, THE MOTOR SUDDENLY BEGAN TO MISFIRE AND SEVERAL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, INCLUDING THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR. AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE PISTON HEAD VALVE SPRING IN THE ENGINE HAD FRACTURED IN HALF. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (BERGLUND CHEVROLET BUICK, 1824 WILLIAMSON RD, ROANOKE, VA) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
DEFROST NOT WORKING DUE TO HEATER NOT PUTTING OUT CORRECT TEMP FROM FAULTY BLEND DOOR FAILING HIGH COST IN LABOR NOT REPAIRED DUE TO NEED OF DASH REMOVAL AFTER 11 OLD RECENT REPAIR. WINDOW STAYS FOGGY CAUSING BLINDING ON HIGHWAY MOVEMENT. ALONG WITH REVIEW MIRROR CONSTANTLY DROPPING AFTER REPEAT TIGHTENING. PART IN DASH IS POOR DESIGN OF CHEAP PLASTIC PART WITH A HUGE LABOR PRICE. NEED RECALL ON PART MARKET IS FLOODED WITH THIS FAILURE ALL YEAR MODELS. NEED HELP 4000 IN 11 MONTHS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR 49$ PART.
DRIVING INTO WORK AND THE ENGINE STARTS SUCKING AIR THROUGH THE INNER CABIN, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ENGINE JUST DIES COMPLETELY HOWEVER THE ELECTRONICS STAYED ON. I TRIED TO START THE CAR AFTER LETTING IT COOL FOR 2 HRS AND THE ENGINE STARTED SHAKING RAPIDLY, THERE ARE NO ENGINE LIGHTS OR ALARMS ON THE DASH. I GET THE CAR TOWED HOME, I TEST THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR AND THEY BOTH CHECK OUT. I HAD A FULL TUNE UP AND TRIED TO FIRE IT UP AGAIN AND THE CRANK WOULDN'T TURN AND NOTICED THE STARTER WAS ENGAGED. I REPLACED THE STARTER AND THE CAR CRANK WITH NO PROBLEM HOWEVER THE ENGINE KNOCKED UNCONTROLLABLY. THIS CAR FAILED ON ME AND CUT OFF COMPLETELY WITH NO CONTROLS , HAD I BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY I COULD HAVE LOST MY LIFE.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY COMES ON. IT HAS BEEN CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES AND WE HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS A FAULTY SENSOR DEALING WITH THE GAS CAP. WE WERE TOLD THE SENSOR WAS RECALLED SEVERAL YEARS AGO BUT I DIDN'T SEE ANY RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. MECHANIC SAYS THAT BECAUSE OF WHERE THE SENSOR IS THE ENTIRE GAS TANK, ETC HAS BE A DROPPED AND IS A MAJOR JOB/COST TO REPAIR. MY AUTO START WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT SHUT OFF.
HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TORQUE CONVERTER WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE
THE AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK OR THE HEATER AND WHEN YOU DRIVE MORE THAN 70 SPEED THE STEERING WHEEL CAN'T BE CONTROLLED GOOD
(STATIONARY) I HAD PROBLEMS RECENTLY WITH THE STABILITITRAK, I STOPPED AT THE RED LIGHT AND THE CAR STARTED TO SHAKE TOO MUCH AND IT WENT OUT, THE LIGHT OF STABILITI TRAK WARNING WENT ON !! IT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES. (IN MOTION) THE OTHER PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE POWER STEERING, EVERY TIME I TURNED THE WHEEL OF THE CAR, IT SOUNDED LIKE OPENING AN OLD DOOR. I HAD TO GO TO THE DEALER AND HAVE IT REPAIRED. (IN MOTION) ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT I HAVE IS IN THE WHEELS, THEY HAVE A SOUND LIKE THEY HAVE A PINK CAN. BUT IT IS ONLY HEARD SOMETIMES NOT ALWAYS. I WENT TO THE DEALER TO SOLVE THAT PROBLEM BUT THE SOUND LEFT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE BACK SECTION OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT ERRONEOUSLY ACTIVATED, PUSHING THE DRIVER FORWARD TOWARDS THE STEERING WHEEL. ONE MONTH LATER, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE BACK SECTION OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT ERRONEOUSLY POWERED BACKWARDS AND MADE CONTACT WITH THE REAR SEAT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,700.
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ROUTE 9 IN VA AND THE CAR STARTED STALLING AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR DIED. WHEN I WENT TO RESTART IT, WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS IT MADE A KNOCKING SOUND. HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT IT, AND WAS TOLD ITS THE MOTOR. SHERIFF SHOWED AND BECAUSE ITS ONLY A 2 LANE HIGHWAY HE HAD TO PUSH THE CAR WITH HIS CAR TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD AND ONTO A SIDE STREET BECAUSE THEY COULDNT WAIT FOR A TOW TRUCK. THERE WAS NO PLACE TO PULL OFF WHEN IT HAD STARTED TO ACT UP.
IN 6/2018, I DISCOVERED THAT MY CAR WAS BEGINNING TO CORRODE ABOVE THE WHEEL WELL ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE (MY CAR WAS STILL 5 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME OF THE DISCOVERY, BUT OVER 100K MILES). WITHIN ONE WEEK, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER--AT WHICH I PURCHASED IT NEW IN 2012--WHO CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS INDEED CORROSION AND INDICATED ON THE WRITTEN ESTIMATE THAT THE "HEM FLANGE WAS NOT PROPERLY SEALED FROM FACTORY CAUSING CONTAMINANTS TO ENTER AND START CORROSION ON THE LEFT QUARTER PANEL." THE DEALER QUOTED ME $3,000 TO REPAIR THE QUARTER PANEL. IN 6/2018, I CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS DENIED ASSISTANCE FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIR FROM THE CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGERIAL LEVEL. IN ABOUT 7/2018, I CONTACTED GM EXECUTIVES, WHICH RESULTED IN A DENIAL OF ASSISTANCE FROM THE CHEVROLET EXECUTIVE RESOLUTIONS TEAM. IN 8/2018, I MADE A BBB COMPLAINT AND AS A RESULT RECEIVED CONTACT FROM GM'S BUSINESS DIVISION, WHO ALSO ULTIMATELY DENIED ME ASSISTANCE. MOREOVER, THE BBB HAS INDICATED THAT MY CAR IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE AUTO LINE PROGRAM DUE TO # OF YEARS OLD. I ALSO RECENTLY MADE A STATE OF MI ATTORNEY GENERAL REFERRAL. I WILL UPLOAD THE PACKET THAT I SENT TO THE BBB WHICH CONTAINS MOST, IF NOT ALL, OF THE DOCUMENTATION I HAVE TO DATE (NOT INCLUDING THE BBB DENIAL).
WENT OUT AT 66000 MILES
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MILES PER HOUR AND THE MY STABILITRAK LIGHTS CAME ON, ALONG WITH ALL MY TRACTION AND BRAKE LIGHTS. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THAT, I LOST SPEED AND IT SOUNDED LIKE I RAN OVER SOMETHING. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 88K MILES ON IT. I ATTEMPTED TO TURN AROUND TO GO BACK HOME AND MY CAMARO SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. I ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT IT WOULD NEVER TURN OVER. I HAD MY CAR TOWED HOME SINCE THE DEALERSHIP WAS ALREADY CLOSED. I TRIED ONCE MORE CRANK IT BUT THIS TIME IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER, I JUST GOT A CLICK CLICK CLICK. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT DURING THAT WEEK TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER IN THE AM. I WAS CALLED MIDDAY AND WAS ADVISED THAT MY ENGINE WAS SEIZED (OR LOCKED UP). WHEN I INQUIRED HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN WITHOUT WARNING OR INDICATION, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY NEEDED TO BREAK DOWN THE MOTOR TO SEE IF THERE WAS A DEFECT AND IT WOULD COST ME $1200. OTHERWISE A NEW ENGINE WITH INSTALLATION WOULD COST ME $7K OR A USED ENGINE WITH 55K MILES INSTALLED WOULD BE $6090.00(HUH???). I RARELY DRIVE MY VEHICLE SO IN THE PAST YEAR, I MAY HAVE PUT A 1K MILES ON IT. JUST 3 WEEKS AGO I HAD THE OIL CHANGED WITH A 40 POINT INSPECTION. I AM PUZZLED AS TO WHY, IF MY CAR WAS HAVING AN ISSUE, WHY DID THE COMPUTER NOT READ OR REPORT IT AT THAT TIME. ALL OF MY SERVICING HAS ONLY COME FROM ONE DEALERSHIP SINCE I HAD IT. THIS ISSUE IS CLEARLY DANGEROUS AND I SEE THAT OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THE SAME THING HAPPENING TO THEM. PLEASE RECALL THIS ISSUE. NO CAR SHOULD EVER JUST TURN OFF. WHAT IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY AND GOTTEN RUN OVER BY A BIG INDUSTRIAL TRUCK. THERE WOULD BE NO ONE TO TELL WHAT HAPPENED. MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF THOSE IN MY CAR COMES FIRST. KNOWING THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT COULD EVENTUALLY COST THE MANUFACTURER GRAVELY IN THE LONG RUN. NHTSA NUMBER 14V34600 WAS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED BY ANOTHER DRIVER.
HEATER CORE FAILURE - MY CAR HAVE JUST 52000 MILES ALWAYS KEEPING ALL THE MAINTENANCE SERVICES ON TIME BUT NOW THE SMELL OF COOLANT COMING FRM THE A/C VENTS AND A LEAK INSIDE THE CAR. I GOOGLE IT AND IS A LOT OF CAMAROS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE BUMPER TO BUMPER GM GUARANTEE DONT COVER THE REPAIR THAT IS SO EXPENSIVE. I USE MY CAR 2 OR 3 DAYS EVERY WEEK. LOOKS LIKE NEW AND NOW THIS PROBLEM
HEADLIGHT HOUSING DETERIORATED CAUSING LOSS OF ROAD ILLUMINATION AT NIGHT. MAJOR SAFEY ISSUE AND WILL FAIL INSPECTION.
I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER WITH A FLUID LEAK AT TH PASSENGER REAR SIDE OF THE CAR.. IT WAS VERY MINOR, PRODUCING ONLY A SMALL "BASEBALL" SIZED STAIN IN MY DRIVEWAY OVER A 3 MONTH PERIOD. FLUID WAS GREASY AND STICKY. THE DEALER REPORTED THAT THE CLAMP FOR THE FILLER TUB WAS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED BUT RHE FACTORY. THEY SAID THEY REPAIRED IT BY REMOVING AND RECLAMPING IT ON. ONCE I RETURNED HOME WITH THE CAR, I HAD A WHOLE NEW PROBLEM. GAS NOW LEAKS OUT ON MY DRIVEWAY ANYTIME THE TANK IS ABOVE ONE-FOURTH FULL. THE FLUID ON THE DRIVEWAY IS DISTINCTLY GAS, WHEREAS BEFORE, IT DID NOT HAVE THE ODOR OR APPEARANCE OF GAS. IT WAS STICKY, MORE TACKY LIKE A GREASE. I RETURNED TO THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT I HAVE A CRACKED GAS TANK. THEY WILL NOT ADMIT THAT THEY INADVERTENTLY CRACKED IT DURING THE PREVIOUS REPAIR. THIS ONLY LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT CHEVROLET HAS AN INHERENT ISSUE WITH THEIR GAS TANKS IN THAT THEY WILL CRACK WITHOUT CAUSE BY THE DRIVER. THIS CAR WAS A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED CHEVROLET. IT HAD APPROXIMATELY 23,200 MILES ON IT AL THE TIME AND THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED DUE TO TIMING: THE 24 MONTHS WAS OVER IN APRIL 2018. THE "CRACKED" GAS TANK WAS DISCOVERED IN AUGUST. PLEASE REVIEW. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE.
THE VEHICLE HAS A SURGE IN THROTTLE WHILE IN GEAR AT A COMPLETE STOP. THIS FORCED THE VEHICLE AGAINST THE POWER OF THE BREAKS INTO A FENCE AND A WOODEN PARKING STOP CAUSING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY OVERPOWERING A NORMAL PRESSURE ON THE BREAKS WHILE IN GEAR.THIS HAS HAPPENED A TOTAL OF AT LEAST 10 TIMES. LAST OCCURRING THE LAST DAY I DROVE THE VEHICLE. I PLACED THE VEHICLE IN STORAGE AFTERWARDS.
INDICATOR CAME ON TO RECOMMEND MAINTENANCE ON AIRBAG, TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS RECALL BACK IN 2014 BUT BECAUSE MINES WAS NOT RECALLED IT MAY HAVE BEEN DUE TO WHERE IT WAS MANUFACTURED. ACCORDING TO THEM IN ORDER TO FIX WHAT IS TRIGGERING THE INDICATOR WILL COST AROUND 700.00 INCLUDING PARTS FOR A NEXT PART AND LABOR. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO BE DEALING WITH AIRBAG ISSUES ON A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE A WARRANTY THAT JUST SO HAPPENS NOT TO COVER THIS PART. WHEN I CALLED THE WARRANTY COMPANY THEY DID STAY THEY COVERED ANYTHING DEALING WITH THE COMPUTER WHICH I THOUGHT THIS DID.
MY 2012 CAMARO CONVERTIBLE DEVELOPED LEAKS (HOLES) IN THE WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE DAMAGE APPEARS TO BE DONE BY THE ROOF MECHANICAL SYSTEM. DEALER REPORTS THIS IS A 20 HOUR JOB AND WILL COST A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS TO REPLACE. MY CONTENTION IS THAT THE DESIGN AND BUILD OF THE CONVERTIBLE ROOF IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE HOLES IN THE WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND GM SHOULD HOLD SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. THE WHOLE INTERIOR AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS ARE AT RISK OF FAILURE AND CREATES A SAFETY RISK TO DRIVER AND OCCUPANTS SHOULD THE WATER GET TO THE ELECTRIC SEATS OR ANY ELECTRIC WIRING UNDER THE CARPET.. ALSO RENDERS THE CAR UNSELLABLE.
SMELL OF RADIATOR FLUID. NOTIFIED DEALER AT 28000 MILES. STATES HEATER CORE MAY HAVE A SLIGHT LEAK. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. VERY EXPENSIVE AND INTRUSIVE TO REPAIR / REPLACE
2012 CAMARO WITH 56000 MILES ON IT HAS A PROBLEM WITH HEATER CORE BEING PLUGGED. CAUSES THE WINDSHIELD TO FOG OVER SUDDENLY LOSING VISIBILITY WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING ON A CAR THATS ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD WITH LOW MILES. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND GOOGLE AND THERE ARE A LOT OF NEWER MODEL CAMAROS THAT ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM BUT GM REFUSES TO ADMIT THERE IS A PROBLEM. I JUST HAD TO PAY 1400.00 OUT OF POCKET WITH NO HELP OR ASSISTANCE FROM GM. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN SHOULD THE WINDOW FOG UP TO THE POINT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO PROPERLY SEE. I AM REPORTING THIS ON BEHALF OF OTHER DRIVERS OF NEWER MODEL CAMAROS WHO ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE AND ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF MY REGULAR MECHANIC WHO SAID WITH THE NUMBER OF REPORTED PROBLEMS WITH THIS PART IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED.
CONVERTIBLE LEAKS AND TRUNK AND FLOORBOARD IS WET WHEN RAINS
ENGINE POWER REDUCED, SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT WHILE GETTING OFF HIGHWAY, CAR SLOWED DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY. I CANT IMAGINE WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED HAD I STILL BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING. APPARENTLY THIS IS A KNOW ISSUE WITH CHEVY & GM CARS. I HAVE SEEN MANY FORUMS AND IT SEEMS NOTHING RESOLVES THIS ISSUE. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON ALL CHEVROLET & GM CARS.
TAKATA RECALL MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON RECENTLY. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND. THEY FIRST SAID MY RECALL NOTICED EXPIRED AND WHEN I CALLED ANOTHER TIME THEY SAID THE RECALL HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. I WAS NOT EVER ONCE NOTIFIED BY THE DEALER THAT THEY "FIXED" A RECALL. I HAD SOMEONE RUN THE DIAGNOSTICS TEST ON FRIDAY AND IT SAID IT WAS THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG SHORTENING BAR (RECALL# 12661). I SPOKE TO GM AND THEY CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP I GO TO AND THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO FIX IT. THEY SAID I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. THEY JUST WANT THEIR MONEY! THIS IS AN OBVIOUS MANUFACTURER ISSUE THAT THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD TAKE CARE OF! MY SAFETY DOES NOT CONCERN THEM. THE RECALL SPECIFICALLY SAYS IF THE BAR AND TERMINALS ARE CONTACTING EACH OTHER AT THE TIME OF A CRASH NECESSITATING DEPLOYMENT OF THE DRIVER'S FRONTAL AIRBAG, THAT AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY, INCREASING THE DRIVER'S RISK OF INJURY. THE DEALER SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE! MY SAFETY SHOULD BE THEIR PRIORITY!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG MODULE FAILED AND CAUSED THE AIR BAGS TO BECOME INOPERABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V346000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), THE KEY FOBIK FAILED TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE KEY FOBIK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFUSED TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING REMEDIED PER THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,500.
This recall regarding my ignition key has been resolved in 2016 by the Reliable Chevrolet dealership. The dealership replaced my ignition keys with the updated correct ignition keys at no charge. Please remove this recall notice from appearing on my vehicle status and discontinue sending recall notices on this. Thank you.
