ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILURE.
I NOTICED A GAS LEAK UNDER MY REAR PASSENGER SEAT AND CAN SMELL GAS OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. TOOK IT TO A GARAGE AND THEY SAID THE FUEL LINES ARE LEAKING WHERE THEY CONNECT TO THE FUEL PUMP, BUT THEY HAVE SEEN MANY COBALTS COME IN WITH THIS ISSUE AND IT'S COVERED UNDER RECALL. I CHECKED WITH GM, MY VIN HAS NO RECALL FOR THAT ISSUE. THERE IS NO RUST UNDER THE CAR SO THIS IS DEFINITELY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE.
DOOR HANDLES BROKE AND DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. I WILL SAVE THE HANDLE FOR EVIDENCE IF YOU NEED THEM
THE SIDE AIR BAG SIGN COMES ON MY DASH THAT SAYS I NEED TO FIX MY PASSENGER AIR BAGS....AND ALWAYS COMES ON WHEN I DRIVE SLOWLY LIKE INTO MY NEIGHBORHOOD OR PARKING LOT. *TR
THE FUEL LINES RUSTED OUT IN 3 PLACES AND HAD TO BE REPLACED FROM ENGINE TO GAS TANK. IT WAS SPRAYING GAS IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND UNDER CAR WHILE DRIVING
THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF MY CAR IS RUST FREE. HOWEVER, IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR WHEEL THERE'S A FUEL LEAK. AND ONLY LEAKS WHILE RUNNING.
GAS LEAK IN FRONT OF DRIVERS SIDE REAR TIRE DUE TO CORRODED LINES. VERY CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST
KEY IGNITION JAMMED. STEERING COLUMN CLUNKING, KNOW TSB ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V153000 (STEERING) AND 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,200.
STEERING IS NOT WORKING ESPECIALLY A SLOWER SPEEDS. VERY HARD TO TURN AT TIMES AND IS MAKING SORT OF GRINDING NOISE OR CLUNKING NOISE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND AM CONCERNED THAT THE STEERING MAY FAIL ALL TOGETHER. HAVE SEEN MANY COBALT'S RECALLED FOR STEERING DEFECTS. I LOOKED UP MY VIN #, BUT IT IS NOT LISTED FOR RECALL. HOW CAN THIS ISSUE BE ADDRESSED SO THAT MY 2010 COLBALT IS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THIS IS SERIOUS. THANK YOU.
THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS, THEN JERKS INTO GEAR VIOLENTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EMITTED AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE FUEL LINE EXPERIENCED SEVERE CORROSION AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO EXPERIENCE A FUEL LEAK. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 118,000.
WHEN IM DRIVING TO WORK AND CAR IS IN MOTION ALL LIGHTS DIM, ALL 4 LOCK FLICKER OFF AND ON WHILE IM DRIVING AND CAR IS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY. SOMETIMES THE LOCK OPEN OTHER TIMES THEY DON'T WORK WITH THE CAR REMOTE. THE HEADLIGHTS WILL COME ON BY THEM SELF EVEN AFTER I SHUT THE CAR OFF. THE CAR WILL UNLOCK EVEN AFTER I LOCK IT EITHER WILTH REMOTE OR MANUALLY. CHEVY DEALERSHIP HAD A RECALL ON THIS CAR AND I DID TAKE IT FOR UPDATES. I REALIZE THIS IS A 2010, BUT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MY CAR SINCE 2011. ONCE THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM IT WAS OK, BUT HERE WE GO AGAIN. I TELL ME HUSBAND IM AFRAID TO GET INTO CHRISTINE. I WOULD LIKE THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX THIS AT THEIR EXPENSE. I DON'T THINK I WILL BUY ANOTHER CHEVY WHEN I SEE HOW MANY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ARE WRITTEN ONLINE.
GAS LEAKING FROM GAS LINE BELOW REAR PASSENGER SEAT ON DRIVERS SIDE I EXAMINED THE AREA AND FIND GAS LINES ARE CORRODED
"SERVICE AIR BAG" MESSAGE SHOWS IN THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE MESSAGE WILL DISPLAY AT ANY RANDOM TIME, WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. ACCORDING TO GENERAL MOTORS BULLETIN NO.: 09-09-40-003A, "THE WIRE ON THE BELT TENSION SENSOR (BTS), THAT IS PART OF THE RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY, MAY BECOME OPEN OR ACQUIRE A GROUND NEAR THE SENSOR. IF THE BTS IS ROTATED TOWARD THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, ADDED STRESS IS APPLIED TO THE WIRE BUNDLE THAT MAY CAUSE AN OPEN OR A GROUND PATH." GENERAL MOTORS BULLETIN NO.: 09-09-40-003A STATES THAT THE FOLLOWING VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED: 2006-2008 CHEVROLET COBALT COUPE 2008-2010 CHEVROLET COBALT SS COUPE 2006 PONTIAC PURSUIT COUPE (CANADA ONLY) 2007-2010 PONTIAC G5 COUPE THIS CONCERN MAY CAUSE AIRBAGS TO NOT DEPLOY WHEN NEEDED, WHICH IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. HOWEVER, GENERAL MOTORS HAS NOT ISSUED A SAFETY RECALL FOR THE AFFECTED VEHICLES.
FUEL LINES RUSTED BY PASSENGER REAR DOOR CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK OUT ON THE GROUND AND ON THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING. LINES WERE RUSTING DUE TO THE SHIELD AROUND THE MUFFLER ALLOWING MOISTURE TO SIT. MY 2005 CHEVY COBALT DID THE SAMETHING..
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE ACTIVATED. WHEN THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE, SHE NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED WHILE THE KEY WAS IN THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO WETZEL CHEVROLET (4700 NATIONAL RD E, RICHMOND, IN 47374), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) IN NOVEMBER OF 2017. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
TAKATA INFLATORS AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON THERE FUEL LEAKING FROM THE TANK AND LINES THE STEERING WHEEL COLUM HAS A DEFECT INSIDE THE STEERING WHEEL THAT MAKES IT VIBRATE WHILE DRIVING AND MAKES STEERING LOOSE ALSO THE TMC MODULE HAS A DEFECT
THERE WAS A LEAK AND THE WHOLE FUEL LIE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED PER THE MECHANIC THAT I TOOK IT TO. THE VEHICLE LEAKS GAS CLOSE TO WHERE THE TANK IS NO MATTER IT BE MOVING OR STATIONARY.
POWER STEERING GOES OUT WITH NO WARNING. VERY UNSAFE. COULD HAVE BEEN BAD IF IT HAD HAPPENED AT A HIGHER SPEED.
MY COBALT ILLUMINATES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AS WELL AS THE THEFT LIGHT AND DISPLAYS ENGINE POWER REDUCED HAPPENS MULTIPLE TIMES FIRST TIME IT STARTED WAS IN 12/2017. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED IN 2011 ALWAYS SERVICED AND REPAIRED BY DEALER SHIP. THE CAR STALLS AT STOP SIGNS LIGHTS OR WHEN YOU PULL INTO A PARKING LOT. ENGINE LIGHT COMES AND GOES. LIGHTS DIM AND FLICKER THE GAUGES JUMP UP AND DOWN IN THE DASH. AFTER YOU SHUT THE CAR OFF THE GAUGES IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER JUMP ADN MAKE TICKING NOISE. WHEN THERE IS NO ENGINE LIGHT PRESENT THE CAR IDLES ROUGH AND ACTS LIKE ITS GOING TO DIE TILL YOU START DRIVING THEN ITS FINE. THE ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES ARE WHEN YOU TO PRESS THEM THE PEDAL WILL DEPRESS ALL THE WAY BUT ITS LIKE IT DONT MEET WITH THE PAD, THIS PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT AS WELL. OBD2 CODES HAVE BEEN P0641 P0017 P0651 P0573 CURRENT CODES STORED ARE P0340 P0300 P0341. I'VE HAD THIS CAR AT THE DEALER AND MULTIPLE SHOPS ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS NOW WITHOUT RESOLUTION. IT'S BECOMING MORE OF A PROBLEM THAN ANYTHING ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR ON THE INTERSTATE AND IT DIES OR COMING UP TO A STOP LIGHT/ SIGN, A CAR PULLS OUT OR AN ANIMAL AND YOUR BRAKES FAIL TO STOP YOU! IT IS A VERY SCARY SITUATION. THE CAR DOES HAVE HIGH MILES BUT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS TILL DECEMBER OF 2017 MILEAGE IS 203,602 ALL MAINTENANCE IS PERFORMED UNDER RECOMMENDED MILEAGE.
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 75 MPH WHEN ALL POWER TO VEHICLE WAS LOST AND WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO SIDE OF ROAD. VEHICLE WOULD NOT START ENGINE WOULD CRANK BUT NOT START. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO MECHANIC, MECHANIC CHECKED FOR PROBLEMS COULD NOT LOCATE PROBLEM AFTER 6 HOURS WORKING ON IT VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE TOWED TO DEALER. DEALER SAID TIMING CHAIN FAILED AND CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND CAUSED HAVE CAUSED AN CRASH WITH THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER
BOTH GAS LINES HAVE RUSTED ON MY CAR CAUSING GAS TO LEAK ON THE GROUND. THIS IS UNHEARD OF FOR A 2010
FUEL LINE RUSTED OUT CAUSE BAD LEAK . COST ME $ 543.50 TO GET FIX . GM SHOULD PAY FOR THAT
I HAVE BEEN SMELLING GAS FUMES FROM MY CAR LATELY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY TOLD ME MY GAS LINE RUSTED THROUGH. I EXAMINED THE LINE AFTER REMOVAL AND FOUND THAT CHEVROLET THE MANUFACTURE PLACED A FLEXIBLE INSULATED HEAT SHIELD AROUND THE GAS LINES NEAR THE EXHAUST PIPE AND THE 12 INCH SHIELDING HAS A CORE THAT HOLDS MOISTURE. THIS MOISTURE OVER 7 YEARS RUSTED OUT THE LINES ONLY UNDER THIS COVER. THE REST OF THE LINES LOOK PERFECT. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER AND COULD HAVE STARTED A HUGH FIRE. THIS TELLS ME THERE ARE A LOT OF AUTO MOBILES OUT THERE WITH THIS PROBLEM. THIS COST ME $800.00 DOLLARS TO HAVE THESE LINES REPLACED, BECAUSE OF POOR DESIGN. THE GAS LEAK IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE EXHAUST PIPE.
TAMARA RECALL POWER STEERING ALL OF A SUDDEN WENT OUT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. A LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL QUIT WORKING. I HAVE TO TURN IT ON AND WHEN I HAVE MADE MY TURN I HAVE TO FLIP IT OFF MYSELF OR IT DOES NOT GO OFF. I BELIEVE THIS FAILS TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NUMBER 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVISES AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT. IF THE TURN-SIGNALS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY DEACTIVATE, THE DRIVER MAY FAIL TO TURN THEM OFF MANUALLY. AN ERRONEOUS ACTIVE TURN-SIGNAL MAY MISLEAD PEDESTRIANS AND OTHER DRIVERS, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. OF COURSE THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. I DO NOT KNOW THE CAUSE OF THE SAFETY RISK. I GLANCE THROUGH THE SAFETY ISSUE RECALLS AND SAW THAT A 2019 GM AUTOMOBILE WAS RECALLED WITH THIS ISSUE STATING THE FMVSS SAFETY STANDARD; THEREFORE, I AM SUBMITTING THIS SAME ISSUE. THE COTNACT BELIEVED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14E021000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,502.
POWER STEERING WARNING MESSAGE. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY,35-40MPH. RPM AND MPH BOUNCED A FEW TIMES. MPH READS ZERO. RPM APPEARS OK . WARNING LIGHT CAME ON SOME FOLLOWED BY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIFFICULTY AT FIRST STEERING THERE ARE ALSO SEVERAL INFO MESSAGES THAT READ BLANK (---) OUTSIDE TEMP, TRIP MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE DRIVING, THE SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE WIPER BLADES AND HEAT WERE INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE POWER STEERING SEIZED AND WAS RECENTLY SERVICED PER AN UNKNOWN NHTSA RECALL FOR THE POWER STEERING AT KEN BARRETT CHEVROLET CADILLAC (229 W MAIN ST, BATAVIA, NY 14020 (585) 300-0199). THE RECALL INFORMATION WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED AND WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
WHILE DRIVING IN A SUBURBAN AREA , SMELLED STRONG GASOLINE ODOR COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR. AT DESTINATION, OTHERS NOTICED AS WELL. IMMEDIATELY PARKED CAR, LOOKED UP THE ISSUE AND REALIZED THE FUEL LINE/FUEL PUMP/GAS LEAK IS A COBALT PROBLEM, YET NOT A RECALL. WE GOT IT SERVICED, BUT OUT OF OUR POCKET EXPENSE.
WE PURCHASED A 2010 CHEVY COBALT IN 20016 UNAWARE OF ANY RECALLS REGARDING THIS VEHICLE , OUR POWER STERING WENT OUT , ON 05/25/2010 GM STATED THAT THIS WAS A REAQUIRING PROBLEM AND THAT THEY WOULD COVER THE COST OF REPAIRS, NOW AFTER TALKING TO THE DEALER WHO SOLD US THIS LEMON BOTH GM AND THE DEALER REFUSES TO FIX ANY AND ALL RECALL ISSUES, THIS VEHICLES POWER STERING ATTEMPTED TO LOCKED UP WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE.
I WAS TURNING TO THE RIGHT AND IT FELT THAT THE CAR WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF AND POWER STEERING CAME ON IN DATA SCREEN OF THE CAR AND EACH TIME I TURNED THE WHEELS CAR STARTED TO ACT AS IT WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF.
AIR BAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON THE FUEL PUMP GASKET LEAKS AND THE STEERING WHEEL PLASTIC BEARING IS BROKEN INSIDE THE STEERING WHEEL THESE ARE ALL RECALLS THAT THESE CARS HAVE BUT WHEN I DO A RECALL VIN CHECK NOTHING COMES UP BUT I KNOW THE ISSUES IT HAS HAS TO DO WITH RECALLS
CAR WILL NOT START TAKES HOURS TO RESTART CAR. CAR BATTERY WILL NOT DIE DIE CAR WILL NOT START. HAPPENS WHEN CAR STOPS.
NONE OF THE WARNING CHIMES WORK - SEAT BELT NOT ON- LIGHTS LEFT ON -KEY IN IGNITION- LOW ON FUEL-ALSO THE CLICKING SOUND MADE BY THE TURN SIGNALS. ALL OF THESE SOUNDS ARE ROUTED THRU THE RADIO DOOR SPEAKERS , MANY OF THESE SPEAKERS DON'T WORK , THE AUTO BLOGS ARE FULL OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE SPEAKERS GM KNOWS IT BUT WON'T REPLACE THE SPEAKERS.

STEERING COLUMN RATTLES ON ROUGH ROADS AND WHEN BRAKING. AFTER REPLACING MANY PARTS I HAVE FIGURED OUT WITH THE HELP OF OTHERS AND THE INTERNET THAT THE STEERING COLUMN IS BAD. THE GEAR MESH BETWEEN THE ELECTRONICS POWER STEERING MOTOR AND STEERING COLUMN IS NOT A GOOD MESH. I BOUGHT THIS USED CAR FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE TO COLLEGE AND WORK AND BELIEVE THAT THE STEERING AND BRAKING SHOULD ALWAYS FEEL SMOOTH FOR THE LIFE OF THE CAR.I UNDERSTAND IF THE ISSUE WAS WARPED ROTORS OR WORN OUT BUSHINGS BUT THIS IS A GEAR MESH. I CAN NOT EVEN PURCHASE A NEW STEERING COLUMN FROM A PARTS STORE. THIS TELLS ME THAT CHEVROLET KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE AND WILL NOT PROVIDE A FIX. I ALSO HAVE TRIED BUYING A USED STEERING COLUMN BUT THE AUTO JUNK YARD SAID THY CAN NOT SELL THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE ON RECALL. I FOUND SERVICE BULLETIN #04-03-8-006G. CONDITION 1 IS WHAT I HAVE AND TESTED USING THE STEPS IN THE BULLETIN. I THEN WENT TO FOREST LAKE, MN CHEVROLET CADILLAC DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSIS AND THEY SAID THAT THE PART WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND COULD BE REPLACED AT A COST OF ALMOST $1000. I AM LOOKING FOR THIS TO BE COVERED UNDER "SPECIAL WARRANTY" OR RECALL AS I BELIEVE CHEVROLET KNOWS THIS IS AN ISSUE. PLEASE RESPOND WITH INFORMATION ON WHEN I CAN SCHEDULE A REPAIR. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED BEFORE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE DEALER (WETZEL CHEVROLET, 4700 NATIONAL RD E, RICHMOND, IN 47374) WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.

THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED FOR LOW POWER. THE VEHICLE REDUCED SPEED AND STALLED SEVERAL TIMES. THE SERVICE ENGINE INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF A DEALER WOULD PROVIDE A SOLUTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
WE HAD OUR BATTERY REPLACED IN OUR VEHICLE NOVEMBER 15, 2016. SINCE THAT TIME OUR "SERVICE PASSENGER AIRBAG" LIGHT HAS COME ONE. WE TOOK IT TO OUR MECHANIC ON 3/3/2017 AND HE REPORTED THAT WE NEEDED A NEW MODULE THAT WOULD CORRECT THE SERVICE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT. WE DROVE OUR CAR HOME AND BEFORE WE EVEN GOT HOME THE SERVICE LIGHT HAD RETURNED. WE TOOK IT BACK THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY AND THEY CHECKED IT AGAIN AND SAID WE NEEDED A NEW SENSOR FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT. SINCE THAT TIME WE HAVE NOT TAKEN IT BACK AS WE ARE WONDERING IF THAT WILL JUST REQUIRE ANOTHER ELECTRONIC FIX. DOES THIS EFFECT THE SEAT BELT WORKING CORRECTLY? IF SO, I THINK THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
I WAS DRIVING HOME THIS MORNING AND A DEER JUMPED OUT IN FRONT OF ME. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND THE ENGINE SHUTOFF. MAKING THE POWER BRAKES AND STEERING SHUTOFF. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS NOT TO MENTION IF THERE IS NO POWER MOST LIKELY THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY. A SERIOUS ISSUE FOR A CAR THAT IS LESS THAN 6 YEARS OLD WITH AROUND 80,000 MILES ON IT. VEHICLE IS A 2010 CHEVY COBALT 2.2 ECOTECH (BASE MODEL). ON START UP CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARS WITH MESSAGE ENGINE POWER REDUCED. CHECK ENGINE CODE IS P0641. REPLACED MULTIPLE SENSORS, THROTTLE BODY, CHECKED FOR WIRE ISSUES ETC. DEALER REPLACED ECM AND STILL HAVING ISSUES. CAN NOT DRIVE OVER 40MPH OR ENGINE WITH DISABLE. CAR HESITATES AND BUCKS WHILE DRIVING IN ENGINE REDUCED MODE.CAR HAS 68,789 MILES. *TR
THE PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. I WENT TO MY DEALERSHIP FOR THE REPAIR. THE CAR WAS NEVER DAMAGED, AS I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW FROM THAT SAME DEALERSHIP. WITHIN TWO WEEKS AFTER THIS REPAIR, THE DRIVER'S DOOR DID NOT CLOSE. I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP. I AM AFRAID TO OPEN THE BACK DOORS, IN CASE THEY DO NOT CLOSE. BESIDES THE HUGE AMOUNT OF STRESS AND FEAR, I WAS CHARGED APPROXIMATELY $330.00 FOR EACH DOOR. I FEEL THIS WAS A SIMILAR OCCURRENCE OTHER VEHICLES HAVE HAD WHEN THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL.
