1. ROAD DEBRIS CRACKED THE PLASTIC CONNECTOR WHERE THE PLASTIC FUEL LINE COMES OUT OF THE PLASTIC FUEL TANK. . BRAND NEW, 2004 CHEVY COLORADO (860 MI.) STOPPED RUNNING. AFTER 3 DAYS, TRADED IN FOR A 2004 NISSAN XTERRA.*AK 3. NO PARTS AVAILABLE EVEN FROM THE FACTORY IN DETROIT.
1. WITH 860 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, AN UNKNOWN OBJECT FLIPPED UP BY THE TIRES. ENGINE DIED WITH GASOLINE TRAILING BEHIND THE TRUCK. THE PLASTIC PIECE CONNECTING THE PLASTIC GAS LINE TO THE PLASTIC GAS TANK WAS CRACKED.*AK 3. IT COULDN'T BE FIXED, AS CHEVROLET AND GENERAL MOTORS DID NOT HAVE THE PART AVAILABLE ANYWHERE. AFTER 3 DAYS TRADED IT IN FOR A NISSAN XTERRA TO COMPLETE OUR THIP.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE WAITING AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE ENGINE RACED AND ACCELERATED AS IF IT WAS ENGAGING TO 50 MPH. IN AN ATTEMPT TO PROHIBIT THE VEHICLE FROM ACCELERATING, THE CLUTCH WAS ENGAGED WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THERE WAS ALSO A SULPHUR SMELL INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SERVICE DEALER WHO WAS UNWILLING TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WITHOUT A FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC SHOP WHO DISCOVERED TWO TROUBLE CODES ON THE DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER SYSTEM. THE FIRST WAS A PO300 RANDOM MISFIRE CODE. THE SECOND WAS A P1133 FRONT OXYGEN SENSOR SLOW AND SWITCHING CODE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FROM THE PANEL WAS ALSO CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATED. THE ISSUES HAVE GRADUALLY WORSENED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED.
THE REARVIEW MIRROR WOULD NOT ADJUST ENOUGH TO SEE ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS CAUSED A BLIND SPOT AND OBSTRUCTED THE DRIVER'S VIEW. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK *NM
COMPLAINT CONCERNING VEHICLE'S SEATS. *MR THE LUMBAR SUPPORT WAS TOO HIGH AND WAS PUSHING ON THE CONSUMERS THORACIC SPINE. THIS WAS CAUSING A SHARP, STABBING PAIN IN THE LOWER BACK OF THE CONSUMER. *SC *JB
THE WIND NOISE IS ABSOLUTELY UNBEARABLE. AFTER YOU GET UP TO 40 MPH AND CLOSE THE WINDOWS IT SOUINDS LIKE A TORNADP INSIDE THE TRUCK, AND THIS SHOULD NOT BE. CALLED THE REGINAL REP AND WAS TOLD THAT IS THE WAY IT IS AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. *AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45-65 MPH WHEN A TOTAL LOSS OF ENGINE POWER OCCURRED WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AFTER WAITING A FEW MOMENTS AND RESETTING THE CODES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND REPAIRED. THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOUR TIMES WITH NO RESOLUTION. IN ADDITION, THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12.
I BOUGHT A 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO, WHICH HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE REVVING UP IN PARK TO ABOUT 2500 RPMS WHEN AT A NORMAL TEMPERATURE. IT WILL THEN COME DOWN TO A NORMAL RPMS, AND START IDLING VERY ROUGH. THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED MY TRUCK TO BE IN THE SHOP 4 TIMES ALREADY AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO SOLVE IT. THE SECOND TIME IT WENT IN THEY, THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP, CHANGED OUT THE MANIFOLD AND CATALYTIC CONVERTOR, BUT SINCE THEN NOTHING ELSE CAN BE DONE AND NOW THE PROBLEM IS HAPPENING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE AND IT CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE FORWARD. *AK
IN VERY COLD WINDY WEATHER THE BATTERY LIGHT IN DRIVERS INFORMATION CENTER WILL COME ON AND WARNING CHIME WILL DING TWICE. LIGHT GOES OFF. PROBLEM DOES NOT REPEAT,UNLESS THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF. VEHICLE TAKEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR FOUR (4) TIMES. ALL REPAIR ATTEMPTS HAVE FAILED, AND DEALERSHIP CANNOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM DUE TO THE WARMER WEATHER CONDITIONS BY THE TIME AN APPOINTMENT IS OBTAINED AT THE DEALERSHIP. PROBLEM CONTINUES TO HAPPEN, IN COLD WEATHER. *AK
LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER I PURCHASED THE 2004 GM COLORADO PICKUP TRUCK THE TAILGATE OPEN ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND THE CABINET I WAS HAULING FELL OFF THE TRUCK INTO THE ROAD CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I WAS SURE THE DOOR WAS SHUT SECURELY BUT SOMEHOW IT JUST OPENED UP.*AK
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES PEDAL PROCEEDED TO THE FLOOR AND PULSATED WITHOUT WARNING. *AK
