TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING THROUGH THE VENT AND INTO THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. MOMENTS LATER, SMOKE AND FLAMES APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE, SEVERAL EXPLOSIONS WERE HEARD COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
WHILE DRIVING THE RADIO SHUTS OFF AND A WARNING POPS UP IN THE CENTER BETWEEN THE SPEEDOMETER AND RPM GAUGE THAT SAYS SERVICE STABILTRAC OR SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. WHILE THAT HAPPENS THE POWER STEERING SHUTS OFF. THAT'S A NORMAL OCCURRENCE THAT HAPPENS RANDOMLY ONCE OR TWICE DURING MY 20 MILE DRIVE TO WORK, AND ON SHORT DRIVES FOR ERRANDS. TODAY THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF TWICE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I ALMOST WRECKED 3 TIMES GOING AROUND CORNERS WHEN THE POWER STEERING SHUT OFF ALONG WITH THE RADIO.
DRIVER'S SIDE WIPER STOPPED WORKING IN THE RAIN. IT WAS FOUND TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE WIPER TRANSMISSION. THE END CAME OFF THE BASE OF THE WIPER ARM SPINDLE. AFTER SOME RESEARCH THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON SAFETY ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY THE MANUFACTURER. A RECALL IS IN ORDER DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND THIS PART SHOULD NEVER FAIL LET ALONE ON A CAR THAT HAS NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD 4 YEARS YET.
IT SLIPS OUT OF GEAR AND SHIFTS HARD TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT GEAR
WHEN I TURNED ON MY CAR, MY MESSAGE CENTER WAS IN GERMAN INSTEAD OF ENGLISH. I DID NOTHING TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE. THE NEXT TIME I TURNED ON MY CAR, IT WAS BACK TO ENGLISH. *TR
WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN AT CRUISING SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY, MY DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER (TRANSMISSION LINKAGE) SEPARATED AT ONE OF THE BALL/CUP JOINTS CAUSING MY WIPER TO UNCONTROLLABLY FLY BACK AND CONTACT MY DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW. LEAVING ME WITHOUT AN OPERABLE WIPER SYSTEM AND SAFE TRANSPORTATION TO WORK. THIS IS THE SECOND SUCH FAILURE ON THIS VEHICLE AS THE SAME ISSUE WAS REPAIRED APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AGO. OBVIOUSLY, A SAFETY CONCERN DEPENDING ON THE DRIVING AND WEATHER CONDITIONS AT THE TIME OF FAILURE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE GEARS SHIFTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,536.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTIES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT ACID RESIDUE WAS PRESENT ON BOTH THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE LEADS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE WAS SERVICED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED TO GET IT INSPECTED AND HAVE THE CODE READ. THEY SAID THAT THE CODE WAS DUE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SENSOR AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED FOR APPROXIMATELY $500. THE VEHICLE WAS JUST BARELY OUT OF WARRANTY WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED. MANY TIMES, WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING AND IN THE IDLE STATE WITH THE BRAKE DOWN, THE ENGINE WILL LURCH FORWARD AS IF IT HAD A JOLT OF ENERGY. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY AND ON DIFFERENT ELEVATIONS AND LOCATIONS WHILE THE CAR IS STOPPED. IT WORRIES ME THAT THE CAR WILL LURCH FORWARD WHILE STOPPED AND HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME, WHICH IS WHY IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN. I FEEL AS THOUGHT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COSTS TO REPAIR THIS BRAKE SENSOR AND IT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. I HAVE READ OF MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE ON THE VEHICLE MODEL AND YEAR.
PRACTICALLY EVERY DAY I DRIVE MY CAR, I EXPERIENCE EXTREME SHIFTING AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES. SPECIFICALLY, I HAVE TO FLOOR THE GAS PEDAL FOR THE CAR TO MOVE FROM 2ND TO 3RD SHIFT. THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC CAR, AND IT DRIVES LIKE A POORLY SHIFTING MANUAL. IT IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE IT DOES NOT ACCELERATE WHEN I HIT THE GAS PEDAL, RATHER THE ENGINE REVS VERY HIGH AND LOUDLY, YET THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE. IT ALSO HAS MADE LOUD POPPING SOUNDS FROM THE ENGINE, AND THE CAR FILLS WITH AN EXHAUST SMELL, AND DURING THE WINTER COOLANT SMELL IS OBVIOUS IN AND OUTSIDE THE CAR. I AM VERY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING-AND FEEL UNSAFE-DRIVING THIS CAR AND IT IS ALMOST FOUR YEARS OLD WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES! I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THE BELOW DATES AND THEY CANNOT ?DUPLICATE THE ISSUE?, THUS HAVE NOT FIXED IT. ON ONE OCCASION, THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR FOR 3-WEEKS! I HAVE NO IDEA IF THE DEALERSHIP IS EVEN DAILY TESTING, OR DRIVING, THE CAR. I DO KNOW, HOWEVER, IT IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE BECAUSE THE SHIFTING AND ACCELERATING IS UNRELIABLE AND WILL MOST DOUBTABLE CAUSE AN ACCIDENT INJURING MYSELF AND/OR OTHERS. I HAVE ALSO CALLED GM AND NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND THEY WERE VERY UNHELPFUL, STATING THEY NEVER HEARD OF A SHIFTING/TRANSMISSION ISSUE WITH THE CHEVY CRUZE, WHEN IN FACT THE 2011 CHEVY CRUZE WAS RECALLED FOR SHIFTING LOCK CABLE. I HAVE RECEIVED, UNSOLICITED; A LETTER FROM A LAWFIRM TO SUE GM NOTING THIS EXACT ISSUES SHIFTING/POWER ISSUES (AMONGST FAULTY WATER PUMPS, WHICH I ALSO HAD REPLACED AFTER ONLY OWING THE CAR 2-YEARS), SO CLEARLY THERE ARE MANY OTHERS EXPERIENCING THESE ISSUES. THE CAR IS EITHER A LEMON, OR NEEDS TO BE RECALLED FOR SHIFTING/TRANSMISSION ISSUES.

I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FORTUNATELY NOT WHEN I AM DRIVING HOWEVER MANY TIMES WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE CAR THE CARS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WILL RESET AND THE CARS POWER SEEMS TO LUG DOWN AND FEELS LIKE IT IS DRAGGING OR BRAKING. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR ONLY HAS 60,000.00 ON IT BUT WE TOOK IT IN BECAUSE THE ENGINE WOULD JUST RANDOMLY STOP AND THE CAR WOULD STALL. THE VEHICLE WHEN BROUGHT INTO THE DEALERSHIP, HAD BEEN INSPECTED AND THE CAR WAS MISSING PARTS. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD NON RETURN VALVE WAS MISSING. THERE WAS A VACUUM LEAK AT THE PCV ORIFICE EXTERNAL PORT. WATER PUMP WAS LEAKING FROM BOLT HOLES AND COVER PLATE. COOLANT LEAK WAS FOUND EVEN THOUGH A FEW MONTHS PRIOR TO THE LEAK, CHEVY "FIXED" THE RECALLED ITEM. I BELIEVE THAT THE VEHICLE HAS MANY FAULTY PARTS AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE WRITTEN A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS COMPANY USING FAULTY PARTS IN THERE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. *TR
I TOOK MY CAR TO THE KASPAR DEALER AND SANDUSKY, OH AND WAS TOLD THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR WAS BAD AND THE REPAIR COSTS WOULD BE 800.00. THIS IS ODD BECAUSE AT LEAST 95% OF THE TIME NO ONE SITS IN THAT SEAT. THIS CAR IS NOT OUR FAMILY CAR. IT IS STRICTLY FOR ME TO USE FOR WORK. THIS SEEMS TO ME MORE LIKELY TO BE A DEFECT THAN SOMETHING I SHOULD BE AT FAULT FOR.
UPON STARTING MY VEHICLE BOTH THE STABILITRAK AND TRACTION LIGHTS WERE ON, TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN BACK ON. LIGHTS REMAINED ON, FIRST REPAIR PLACE SAID STABILITRAK SENSOR, SECOND SAID IT WAS THE WHEEL BEARING. BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCES IN OPINION I TOOK IT TO A CHEVY DEALER WHO THEN TOLD ME THE WIRES HAD GONE BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF $300. I CONTINUE TO HAVE ELECTRONIC ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE AFTER REPLACING THE BCM TWICE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. *TR
TRAVELING BEHIND PASSENGER CAR; CAR IN FRONT APPLIED BRAKES. I APPLIED MY BRAKES BUT CAR DID NOT STOP. STRUCK BACK OF VEHICLE.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET MY CAR DID A SHIFT AS I WAS APPROACHING THE LIGHT.ME AND MY HUSBAND LOOK AT EACH OTHER AND STATED WHAT WAS THAT I PROCESSED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND PARK MY CAR. THE MOMENT I PULLED IN THE PARKING SPOT I NEEDED TO REVERSE THE CAR WELL NEEDLES TO SAY THE CAR DIDN'T MOVE YOU HEARD A CLICK AND IT DID NOTHING SO MY HUSBAND SAYS TURN THE CAR OFF AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, I DID THAT NOTHING HAPPENED THE CAR STILL WOULDN'T REVERSE SO I CAN PARK MY CAR, THEN HE STATED PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS OUT IT IN NEUTRAL IT GOES FORWARD, I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR BLACK FRIDAY FROM KIA ON THE BLVD IN PHILADELPHIA, PA. TAKATA RECALL PROBLEM IS UNKNOWN: 1. MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH HEATING/COOLING SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE LOOSES ANTIFREEZE, THE CASING GETS HOT AND ACTS AS THO ITS OVERHEATING TRIGGERING THE FAN TO COME ON AND STAY ON. THERE ARE NO NOTICEABLE LEAKS; IT HAS BEEN AT HE CHEVY DEALER AND SEVERAL OTHER MECHANICS WHO CAN FIND NO RADIATOR LEAKS. THE ENGINE COIL, HOSES, AND HEATING COIL HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND IT CONTINUES TO GET HOT. THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING WHEN THESE ISSUES OCCUR. 2. THE TRACKING SYSTEM LIGHTS STAYS ON CONSTANTLY. NO RECORD OF A PROBLEM BY CHEVROLET SERVICE CENTER OR ANY OTHER SERVICE CENTER WHO HAS USED DIAGNOSTICS TO DETERMINE WHY THE LIGHT STAYS ON. 3. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON CONSTANTLY. THE ENGINE COIL HAS BEEN REPLACED; NO OTHER ENGINE PROBLEMS ARE IDENTIFIED WITH DIAGNOSTICS.
MY CHEVROLET DEALER INFORMED ME THAT MY 2011 CHEVY CRUZE HAS A LEAK IN THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES. IS THERE OR WILL THERE BE A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. I NOTICED (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER:14V152000) THE CHEVY SILVERADO, SUBURBAN, SIERRA, TAHOE, AND YUKON HAD A RECALL FOR TRANSMISSION COOLER LINE ISSUES. ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO I HAD TAKEN MY CRUZE IN FOR SERVICE WHERE I WAS PURCHASED MY 2011 CHEVY CRUZE. I HAD A RECALL ON A COOLANT LEAK AT THE PUMP. I HAD TAKEN IT IN FOR SERVICE AND OIL CHANGE. THE LADY I HAD COMMUNICATED WITH ABOUT THE PROBLEM I WAS HAVING ABOUT A BURNT SMELL WHEN I TURNED ON MY HEAT. SHE INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEMS OR LEAK. ONE DAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK I STARTED CHOCKING AND MY EYES WHERE BURNING FROM AN INTENSE BURNING SMELL. WHEN I ARRIVED AT HOME I POPPED MY HOOD AND NOTICED THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO COOLANT IN MY OVERFLOW TANK. I THEN CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM WHAT I WAS EXPERIENCING WITH MY CRUZE. THEY TOOK ACTION AND HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY REPLACED THE PUMP AND COOLANT LINES WHERE THERE WAS A LEAK FREE OF CHARGE. (SHE NO IONGER WORKS FOR THE DEALERSHIP) I DO NOT KNOW HOW LONG I WAS DRIVING MY CRUZE WITHOUT ANY COOLANT. I STILL HAVE A CONTINUOUS SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING AND HAVE TO TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE AGAIN. I ALSO EXPERIENCE A SHACK WHEN THE CAR IS AT AN IDOL. IM BEING TO QUESTION MY PURCHASE OF MY CHEVY CRUZE. HOPEFULLY WHEN I TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE THEY ARE ABLE TO PIN POINT THE PROBLEMS AND THAT THE LAST VISIT I NEED TO MAKE TO THE DEALERSHIP. *JS
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE WAY TO WORK ONE DAY AND OUT OF NO WHERE GOING DOWN MY HILL MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON AND MY DASH BOARD SAID "ENGINE POWER REDUCED". IT WOULDN'T LET ME ACCELERATE SO I STOPPED AND SHUT OFF THE CAR. I STARTED IT 5 MINUTES LATER AND IT RAN NORMAL BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK IT DID IT 2 MORE TIMES. ITS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BECAUSE WHEN ALL THOSE LIGHTS COME ON YOUR CAR GOES FROM 60MPH TO 10MPH IN 5 SECONDS. IF YOURE DRIVING AND SOMEONE IS DIRECTLY BEHIND YOU THEYRE GOING TO CRASH INTO YOU. AFTER A DAY OR TWO I MADE AN APPT. TO GET IT LOOKED AT AND I KEPT DRIVING IT BECAUSE I NEED TO GET TO WORK. NOW THE CAR NOT ONLY SAYS "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" BUT IT ALSO SAYS " SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" BUT THATS NOT EVEN WHATS WRONG WITH THE CAR. ITS THE THROTTLE BODY. NOW CHEVROLET IS EXPECTING ME TO PAY 500 TO FIX IT AND I DONT HAVE THAT, THEY WONT RENT ME A RENTAL CAR AND I HAVE NO OTHER WAY TO WORK. I PAY FOR INSURANCE FOR THE CAR THROUGH THEM BUT APPARENTLY ANYTHING THATS WRONG WITH MY CAR ISNT COVERED BY ANY OF THE INSURANCE THAT I BOUGHT FROM THEM. THIS IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AROUND AND I'M PISSED THAT THEY DON'T CARE OR SELL ME THIS CRAP INSURANCE THAT DOESNT COVER ANYTHING IMPORTANT. NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE INDICATING THAT THIS WOULD SUDDENLY HAPPEN BUT IT DID. I WOULD HEAT UP MY CAR IN THE MORNING AND THE REDUCED ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON, I WOULD TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND IT WOULD DRIVE FINE. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES BUT THEN I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 55 MPH AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ENGINE AND STABILITRAC LIGHT COMES ON AND SAYS REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND THE CAR SLOWS DOWN ABOUT 5 MPH IMMEDIATELY. THIS OCCURRED 3 TIMES ON MY WAY HOME THAT IS NORMALLY ONLY A 10 MINUTE DRIVE, THE VERY NEXT MORNING IT DID IT AGAIN WHEN STARTING IT UP IN THE MORNING TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS HAPPENS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND THANKFULLY DID NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BUT IT COULD IF THIS WOULD OF HAPPENED ON THE EXPRESSWAY. WHILE DRIVING I LOST ENGINE POWER AND HAD NO FOOT THROTTLE. THE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON THAT STATED REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND CHECK STABILATRAK. SHUTTING CAR OFF AND RESTART DID NOT FIX. MY CAR WOULD NOT GO OVER 4MPH AND I WAS NEARLY REAR ENDED. *JS

HAD I BEEN ON A HIGHWAY I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I HAVE THE COMPUTER THAT SHOWS ERROR CODES WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND IT READ THAT IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. NOW WHEN I TURN THE CARE ON IT SOMETIMES WILL IMMEDIATELY SAY REDUCED POWER. I CALLED CHEVY AND THEY SAID IT WOULD BE DIAGNOSED BY ONE OF THEIR DEALERSHIPS. THE FIRST DEALERSHIP SAID I WILL NEED TO WAIT UNTIL MARCH TO COME IN, THE NEXT 2 WEEKS FROM NOW. IN THE MEANTIME CHEVY THINKS IT'S SAFE TO DRIVE MY CAR LIKE THIS. INTERMITTENT SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILITRAK WHILE AT A STOP WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE AFTER THE SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON THE VEHICLE LACKED POWER AND HIGH TEMP FAN TURN ON. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE CAR OUT OF THE SERVICE LOCK WAS TO TURN THE IGNITION OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON. I TOOK THE CAR TO A DEALER WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN COVERED UNDER A RECALL ON OTHER CHEVY VEHICLES SUCH AS THE EQUINOX.

WHILE DRIVING MY CAR HOME FROM WORK AT THE END OF JANUARY, I FELT IT SUDDENLY SLOW DOWN ON ITS OWN. I HAD A MESSAGE ON MY DISPLAY TO SERVICE STABILITRAK AND ENGINE POWER REDUCED. DROVE MY CAR TO WORK WITHOUT INCIDENT HOWEVER WHEN I CAME OUT AT 4PM THE CAR WOULD NOT START. AFTER HAVING THE BATTERY REPLACED IT WAS CLEAR MY VEHICLE WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. WHEN DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY THE INTERIOR LIGHTS DIMMED AND THE BATTERY VOLTAGE METER FLUCTUATED FROM 15.3 TO 12.3. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PERFORMING AS IT HAD PRIOR TO THE BATTERY CHANGE. I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP STATING THE CAR WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY SINCE THE BATTERY CHANGE. THE DEALERSHIP STATED I WOULD NEED TO SIGN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF ~150.00 BEFORE THEY WOULD LOOK AT THE VEHICLE TO INSPECT THEIR WORK. ABOUT 10 DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM GM REGARDING A SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT THE BATTERY CABLE. I AGAIN RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE BATTERY CABLE CHECKED/REPLACED. AGAIN AL SERRA DEALERSHIP STATED I NEEDED SIGN THAT I WOULD PAY A $100.00 FEE IF THEY DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY CABLE. I STATED "YOU DID NOT FIX MY PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME. NEEDLESS TO SAY 5 DAYS LATER I JUST HEARD FROM THE SERVICE CENTER THAT THE PROBLEM IS THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY AND IT WILL COST ME ABOUT $600+TAXES TO REPAIR. HE STATED I HAVE HEAVY CARBON BUILD UP AND SOMETHING ABOUT THE INDUCTION SERVICE. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM OUTSIDE OF NOT HAVING SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS TO GIVE IS THAT IN NOVEMBER I PAID $300+ TO HAVE THE WATER PUMP REPLACED AND THREE WEEKS BEFORE THAT IT WAS IN THE SHOP AND THREE WEEKS PRIOR TO THAT IT WAS IN THE SHOP. THE CHEVROLET CRUZE 2011 IS COMPROMISED BY HACKING AND TAMPERING AND ALLOWS FOR THE ENDANGERMENT OF THE DRIVE, OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVERS OR PEDESTRIANS. THE RADIO ANTENNA WILL SOUND OFF AND CONSTANTLY MAKE A ROAMING NOISE AS IF BEING ACCESSED. THIS IS AT EVERY STOP SIGN AND EVERY STOP LIGHT OR EVERY DESTINATION REACHED BY GPS MARKERS. THE CRUZE SYSTEM IS ALLOWING THE 24/7 TRACKING WHEN IT IS USED AND TAMPERING WITH THE INTENT TO CAUSE MALFUNCTION OR ANNOYANCE. THE THROTTLE IS BEING CUT OFF DELIBERATELY AT STOP SIGNS, AND TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND DESTINATIONS, THE RADIO ANTENNA WILL CONSTANTLY MAKE A ROAMING NOISE "SEARCHING OR ACCESS". THE VEHICLE IS DELIBERATELY BEING USED FOR STALKING BLACKS FOR HATE CRIMES WHILE TESTING OUT VEHICLE HALTING SYSTEMS BY CLEARLY SATELLITE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 100 OR SO TIMES IN THE 3 YEAR I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE AND THERE IS NO REMEDY. WHEN OTHER PERSONS USE MY OWN VEHICLE THESE ISSUE DO NOT ARISE AND I HAVE CONFIRMED THIS WITH OTHER OWNERS, MY VEHICLE IS A UNIQUE OCCURRENCE THAT INVOLVES ALSO A HATE CRIME IN PUBLIC, POLICE STALKING, LAW ENFORCEMENT STALKING, HOME STALKING AND TAMPERING OF ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES I OWN OR USE IN MY HOME. A SQUEAK HAS DEVELOPED IN THE STEERING COLUMN. ALTHOUGH GM HAS RECEIVED COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS, THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO ISSUE ANY RECALLS. DEALER ATTEMPTED TO FIX BUT THERE APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE DESIGN OF THE SYSTEM. SYSTEM ALSO LEAKED ON THE HOT ENGINE CAUSING "STEAM" TO SHOW FROM UNDER THE HOOD, WE THOUGHT IT WAS A FIRE BUT WHEN THE HOOD WAS OPENED IT WAS STEAM FROM THE ANTIFREEZE BOILING ON THE ENGINE. *TR
WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 67MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR JUST LOST POWER AND THE ENGINE QUIT RUNNING. ALL OF THE DASHBOARD INSTRUMENTS LOST POWER ,GAS GAUGE REGISTERED EMPTY, ETC. ALTHOUGH THE RADIO DID NOT GO OFF. LUCKILY THIS HAPPENED WITH VERY LIGHT TRAFFIC AND WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF IN THE EMERGENCY LANE AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE WITH NO TROUBLE. CONTINUED OUR TRIP AND DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. AFTER THINKING ABOUT THIS I DID NOTICE THE VEHICLE A FEW WEEKS AGO LOSING SOME ACCELERATING SPEED/POWER INTERMITTENTLY WHILE TRAVELING. NOT SURE IF THAT WAS AN INDICATOR OR NOT. DID CALL ONSTAR APPROXIMATELY 5 HOURS AFTER INCIDENT TO DIAGNOSE AND SEE IF ANY ERROR CODES CAME UP AND THEY STATED THEY SHOWED NOTHING. THIS IS MY DAUGHTERS VEHICLE AND I FEAR THAT IF SHE IS TRAVELING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND THIS HAPPENS AGAIN THAT THIS COULD CAUSE A SEVER ACCIDENT. *JS
THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHTS KEEP FLASHING ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING. I WILL BE DRIVING MY CAR THEN THE LIGHT WARNING LIGHT WILL FLASH, AND ALL LIGHTS IN THE DASHBOARD WILL BLINK ON AND OFF. THE BLINKER NOISE WILL TURN OFF THEN ON AGAIN. HOWEVER, THE ELEC. STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT DOES NOT STAY ON PERMANENTLY. IT'S LIKE MY CAR DOES IT WHEN IT FEELS LIKE IT. I HAVE TO TURN MY CAR OFF FOR A FEW MIN AND START IT AGAIN TO GET IT BACK TO NORMAL. THIS HAPPENS AT ANY LOCATION AND SPEED. YESTERDAY 11/27/14 THIS OCCURRED AND STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT. I HAVE TAKEN MY CRUZE IN BEFORE REGARDING THIS AND WAS TOLD IT COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED, THEREFORE THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. I DO NOT WANT TO BE DRIVING MY CAR IN FEAR OF SAFETY. I HAVE MADE ANOTHER APPT AT ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND WAS ALREADY TOLD THEY WOULD HAVE THE CAR ALL DAY AND DO NOT PROVIDE ANY TYPE OF COURTESY CAR...THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RENT A CAR. THIS SERVICE ALSO "MAY OR MAY NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY" BECAUSE MY CRUZE IS FROM 2011 AND CURRENTLY HAVE OVER 50K MILES ON IT. I LOVE MY CRUZE, BUT THE SERVICE REGARDING THIS ISSUE IS TERRIBLE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. VEHICLE SAFETY IS ON THE LINE. *TR
VEHICLE HAS HAD WATER PUMP REPLACED EARLIER THIS YEAR UNDER WARRANTY - AND HAD THE TURBO CHARGER REPLACED LAST WEEK UNDER WARRANTY. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY LAST WEEK WAS A "LEAKING" BATTERY. SINCE BATTERY WAS ORIGINAL - I FELT IT WAS WORTH REPLACING. YESTERDAY, WHILE DRIVING TO WORK, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE HEATER STOPPED WORKING. TODAY - THE DEALER CALLS ME AND STATES THAT THEY NEED TO REPLACE A HOSE AND OUTLET. THERE WAS NO LEAK YESTERDAY - AND THEY STATE THAT THERE IS A LEAK AND THIS IS THE REASON. THEY WANT $250 FOR REPAIRS. THE HOSE WAS FINE YESTERDAY - AND THE OUTLET SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH THE WATER PUMP (ACTUALLY THEY SHOULD HAVE REPLACED THE HOSE AT THAT TIME ALSO). NO RESPONSE FROM GM QUALITY CARE. OVER $500 IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS - AND I AM NOT CERTAIN THAT THIS ISSUE IS OVER. IT HAS ALSO HAD TWO COMPUTERS REPLACED WHEN I FIRST GOT IT. *TR
