TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING AT A RED LIGHT, IT LOST POWER AND THE BRAKES FAILED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PARADISE CHEVROLET (6350 LELAND ST, VENTURA, CA 93003). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE INTERMITTENTLY FOR FOUR YEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
THE CARS RADIO AND OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS (EX. ON-STAR, PHONE CHARGERS, USB PRODUCTS) WILL TURN ON AND OFF AT RANDOM. IT OCCURS RANDOMLY AND INTERMITTENTLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS ROUGHLY 15-20 TIMES OVER A COUPLE OF MONTHS. IT MAINLY HAPPENS AT A RED LIGHT AND THEN WILL TURN BACK ON ONCE I ACCELERATE. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON A HIGHWAY GOING 60-70MPH AND THE EVERY LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD WENT ON AND ON THE DISPLAY SCREEN IT STATED STABLITRAX IS OFF. IMMEDIATELY PRESSED MY ONSTAR BUTTON AND ASKED THEM TO RUN DIAGNOSIS AND THE WHOLE CONVERSATION WAS GOING IN AND OUT OF BEING ABLE TO HEAR THEM. MY RADIO WAS GOING ON AND OFF THE ENTIRE TIME WHEN THE RADIO WAS ON I COULD HEAR WHEN IT WAS OFF AND ALL POWER WAS OFF. WE DID LOSS CONNECTION TO ONSTAR AND I REPRESSED THE BUTTON. I HAVE HAD THEM RUN THEIR "DIAGNOSIS" MULTIPLE TIMES WHEN THIS HAPPENS AND THEY NEVER HAVE ANYTHING COME UP WRONG. THEY ADVISED ME TO TALE THE DEALER. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY ADVISED ME THAT UNLESS IT WAS HAPPENING AT THAT TIME IT WOULD PRETTY MUCH BE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. I HAVE HEARD SOME CLICKING OR SWITCHING SOUNDS COME FROM UNDER THE HOOD WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING OCCASIONALLY NOT SURE IF AND MY ENGINE TEMP ALWAYS RUNS COLD NOT SURE IF EITHER OF THOSE RELATE. IT WOULD BE NICE TO FEEL SAFE IN MY NEW CAR AND IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE PAYING FOR ONSTAR AND NOT HAVE A DOUBT THEY WOULD BE REACHABLE IF THIS CAUSES A BIGGER PROBLEM! I WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN WHEN THERE WAS A NOISE SIMILAR TO A TIMING BELT FAILURE FROM UNDER THE ENGINE AND THE CAR APPEARED TO LOSE POWER. I PULLED OVER AND LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE BUT THERE WAS NO SIGN OF DAMAGE. I RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AND THE NOISE RECURRED. I DECIDED TO CALL A TOW TRUCK TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER WE BOUGHT IT FROM IN AUGUST 2013. THE DEALER FOUND A BROKEN/SEPARATED FRONT RIGHT AXLE. THE CAR IS AN AUTOMATIC. THE DEALER REPLACE THE AXLE. I AM WRITING THIS TO REPORT THE INCIDENT AS THE CAR IS VIRTUALLY BRAND NEW. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WITH THE DEALER. *TR

THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE 1.8L ENGINE (NON-TURBO) WAS INSTALLED WITH A "TOO SMALL" DISC ROTOR AND/OR PADS FOR THE FRONT - CAUSING THE FRONT DISC ROTOR AND/OR FRONT PADS TO BE SUBJECTED TO PREMATURE FAILURE. MY DISC ROTOR AND PADS ROUTINELY FAILS AT UNDER 10,000 MILES. GM RECOGNIZED THIS PROBLEM AND INSTALLED LARGER FRONT DISC ROTOR AND PADS FOR THE 2014 CRUZE DIESEL BUT REFUSES TO CONDUCT A RECALL TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE FRONT DISC ROTOR AND PADS CAUSING DANGEROUS STOPPING SITUATION WHEN THE DISC ROTOR AND PADS ARE PREMATURELY WORN OUT. *TR

LETTER FROM CONGRESSMAN JOHNSON ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE 2013 CHEVY CRUZE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS VERY LITTLE HEAT IN THE VEHICLE. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE FLUCTUATED, AND THE WINDOWS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD FOG UP. *JB UPDATED 04/28/14 *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TRAVEL IN THE DIRECTION BEING STEERED. THERE WAS FORCE APPLIED TO THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO CONTINUE DRIVING. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED GEARS AND LUNGED FORWARD INTERMITTENTLY WHEN AT A STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,500.

THE COMPLAINT IS 1)VEHICLE SURGES WHEN STOPPED AT A SIGNAL OR STOPPED WHILE IN GEAR. EXTRA PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO BRAKE PEDAL OUT OF FEAR IT WILL LUNGE FORWARD. 2)INTERMITTENTLY SURGES DRASTICALLY WHEN YOU REMOVE YOUR FOOT FROM BRAKES. 3)INTERMITTENT HIGH REVVING AND ACCELERATION PROBLEMS. A SERVICE BULLETIN WAS PERFORMED IN WHICH REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE TRANSMISSION. THESE REPAIRS INCREASED THE SYMPTOMS AND MADE IT THE VEHICLE EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS >55 THE STEERING WHEEL GIVE RESISTANCE WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT TO MAKE MINOR LANE CORRECTIONS. WHEN YOU GET PAST THE RESISTANCE THE STEERING OVER CORRECTS WHICH CAUSES YOU TO SWERVE. *TR
2013 CHEVY CRUZE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS SEEMS TO HAVE THE STEERING LOCK OR BECOME "STICKY". PROBLEM IS MOST NOTICEABLE AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50 MPH. IT BECOMES DIFFICULT TO MAKE MINOR CHANGES IN DIRECTION WHEN TRYING TO KEEP THE CAR IN THE LANE OF TRAFFIC. THE "LOCK UP" SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN CORRECTING TO THE LEFT COMPARED TO CORRECTING TO THE RIGHT. THIS BECOMES A REAL CONCERN WHEN DRIVING ON ICY OR SNOW PACKED ROADS AS I FEAR A LOSS OF CONTROL WHEN OVERCORRECTION DUE TO THE "STICKY" STEERING. *TR
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING MY CAR TO MY PLACE OF WORK. SNOWY DAY,MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN, GOING VERY SLOW TO TURN, SHE STARTED SLIDING. MY CAR SLID SIDEWAYS, THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR TIRE HIT CURB, ALL AIRBAGS OPENED EXCEPT DRIVERS STEERING WHEEL. SHE SUSTAINED HEAD AND NECK INJURY. TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE WITH NECK COLLAR ON, NOTHING BROKEN. OUT OF WORK FOR 2 WEEKS, IMMOBILE WITH BACK PAIN. I WAS WITHOUT MY CAR FOR A MONTH, WAITING ON PARTS FROM GM TO REPAIR REAR AXLE AND REST OF THE AIRBAGS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE THERE WAS AIR IN THE BRAKE LINES AND THAT THEY NEEDED TO BE BLEED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. AFTER CHANGING OIL FILTER, OIL SPRAYED IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES INTO DRIVE, CAUSING A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. ALL OCCUPANTS WERE SAFE, BUT THE DAMAGE IS EXPENSIVE. WIRING HARNESSES, AS WELL AS MASTER CYLINDER WERE MELTED. THE TOP MOUNTED FILTER IS A PLEATED CARTRIDGE THAT SNAPS INTO A THREADED PLASTIC OIL FILTER CAP. A BLUE O-RING, INCLUDED WITH THE FILTER, SLIPS OVER THE PLASTIC OIL FILTER CAP, PAST THE THREADS. THE ISSUE SEEMS TO THAT TWO "GROOVES" EXIST AFTER THE THREADS TOWARDS THE END BY THE FLANGE. IF THE O-RING IS PLACED IN THE WRONG LOCATION (I.E. ALL THE WAY TO THE END) THIS PROVIDES AN INADEQUATE SEAL, POSING A FIRE HAZARD AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. CORRECT PROCEDURE IS TO APPLY THE BLUE O-RING ON THE SECOND TO LAST GROOVE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE THREADS. BASICALLY, IF AFTER TIGHTENING THE OIL FILTER ASSEMBLY THE BLUE O-RING IS VISIBLE, IT'S IN THE WRONG LOCATION. SOURCE: LOCAL DEALER. DURING THE WINTER THE DEFROSTER WILL NOT CLEAR ANY OF THE WINDOWS, FRONT AND SIDE. HAPPENS WHEN TEMPERATURE IS AT 34 DEGREES AND BELOW. PUT SYSTEM IN DEFROST + HEAT FEET FRONT WINDSHIELD AND ALL SIDE WINDOWS FOG UP. PLACE IN DEFROST ONLY CLEARS WINDSHIELD NOT SIDE TOTAL, NO CLEAR IN BACK SIDE WINDOWS. BACKING OUT OF DRIVE--SEAT BELT ON-CAR SPED UP AT RAPID ACCELERATION--NO CONTROL-RAN INTO TELEPHONE POLE--BRAKED NO RESULTS. CAR CIRCLED IN ROAD AND CROSSED ROAD--TRIED SHIFTING. I PURCHASED A 2013 CHEVY CRUZE IN JUNE, 2013. IN NOVEMBER OF THE SAME YEAR, I STRUCK A DEER ON A RURAL STRETCH OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEED (70MPH). AT THIS POINT THERE WERE ROUGHLY 9,000 MILES ON IT. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, BUT I WAS UNHARMED. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO DO A 180 DEGREE ROLL ONTO THE SHOULDER, AT WHICH POINT I EXITED THE VEHICLE TO SEE THE AREA NEAR THE BATTERY SMOKING WITH A SMALL FLAME COMING OUT OF IT. WITHIN MINUTES, AND BEFORE EMERGENCY VEHICLES COULD ARRIVE THE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. *TR

THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED A BULGING HERNIA IN THE NECK AND SEIZURES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZ. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH WHEN A SECOND VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, BACK, NECK, LEFT GROIN AND LEFT SHOULDER. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BLURRED VISION AND NUMBNESS IN THE LEFT ARM. THE PASSENGER SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, BACK, NECK, RIGHT SHOULDER, NUMBNESS TO THE RIGHT ARM AND BLURRED VISION. BOTH THE CONTACT AND THE PASSENGER WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AT THE DEALER BUT NO INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND NO SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6000.
NOTICED A COOLANT (ANTIFREEZE) ODOR WHEN THE HEAT IS ON. I DON'T NOTICE IT ALL THE TIME, SOME DAYS THERE'S A STRONGER ODOR THAN OTHERS. PLENTY OF INFO ON OTHER WEBSITES WITH SAME ISSUE. (CRUZETALK.COM) *TR
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE IN SEP 2013, APPROX NOV 2013 I BEGAN HAVING A HORRIBLE STRONG ODOR COMING FROM MY VEHICLE. WE SEARCHED TO SEE IF AN ANIMAL WAS IN IT. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS MY SON'S FEET & MADE HIM CHANGE SOCKS. IT GOT WORSE & WAS REALLY STRONG WHEN DEFROST, HEAT & VENT WERE ON. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP & THEY LOOKED AT IT, OF COURSE THAT DAY THEY COULDN'T GET THE SMELL TO OCCUR ALTHOUGH IT DID ON THE WAY THERE. I WENT A COUPLE MORE WEEKS & IT GOT WORSE. FINALLY, I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR OIL MAINTENANCE & ADVISED AGAIN THAT THE SMELL WAS HORRIBLE. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE TIME SAID IT WAS A COMMON CHEVROLET PROBLEM. THERE IS A LEDGE UNDER THE HOOD, UNDER THE WINDOW & CONDENSATION FROM DEFROST OR RAIN, ETC. SITS & DOESN'T DRAIN CAUSING THE WATER TO MILDEW & BECOME STAGNANT. HE TOLD ME TO LEAVE THE CAR RUNNING WITH MY VENT ON HIGH (& NOT SIT IN THE CAR), SPRAY LYSOL AND LET IT RUN FOR ABOUT 5 MIN, IT KILLS THE BACTERIA. I HAD TO DO THIS EVERY NIGHT FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS DURING THE COLD WINTER MONTHS. I TOOK IT BACK & TOLD THEM IT WAS RIDICULOUS I WASN'T GOING TO CONTINUE DOING THIS FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK SOMEONE ELSE WAS THERE & SD THE DEALERSHIP HAD REC'D NOTICE THAT THERE WAS A PART THAT COULD BE PUT ON IT, SO THEY SENT ME ON MY WAY WAITING FOR A LOANER VEHICLE THEN THEY WOULD FIX IT. THEY FINALLY "PUT THE PART ON" I WAS ADVISED BY ANOTHER DEALER IT WASN'T A PART THEY JUST HAD TO FLIP A SWITCH THE PART WAS ON THE VEHICLE. THE NEXT DAY I GOT IN MY CAR & BLOWERS WERE RUNNING. I CALLED & WAS ADVISED THAT WAS WHAT THE PART DID, SO NOW THE SMELL WAS LIKE ROTTEN MAPLE SYRUP. DURING THE DRY SUMMER MONTHS THE SMELL WAS NOT THERE, BUT NOW THAT FALL/WINTER IS COMING THE SMELL IS BACK & I HAVE A CALL IN TO GET THIS AND OTHER MAJOR ISSUED FIXED AGAIN. SINCE PURCHASING MY CAR IT HAS DONE STRANGE THINGS WITH WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE BREAKS. WHEN STOPPING AT A LIGHT ETC.. THE CAR WILL JUMP FORWARD.. HE STATED THAT HE'S HEARD THIS FROM OTHER CHEVY CRUZE OWNERS AND IT'S JUST WHAT THESE CARS DO. IT DID DEMONSTRATE THE JUMPING, THRUSTING FORWARD WHILE THE SERVICE TECH WAS DRIVING. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS ANSWER BUT BELIEVED HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. YESTERDAY I GET IN MY CAR AND IT WILL HARDLY GO. THE SERVICE STABILTACK LIGHT WAS ON. THEN EVERY LIGHT ON THE DASH CAME ON. OBVIOUSLY I UNDERSTAND THINGS GO BAD ON CARS AS IT'S 4 YEARS OLD. BUT AFTER READING HUNDREDS OF THESE COMPLAINTS ONLINE I BELIEVE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS THAT CAN BE DANGEROUS. DRIVING THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POPS ON, AND THE CAR STARTS MAKING LIGHT NOISES AS IF THE TRANSMISSION IS HAVING PROBLEMS PULLING. UTILIZED THE ONSTAR BUTTON TO REQUEST A DIAGNOSTIC, AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION, AND THE DRIVE TRAIN WAS GIVING ERROR CODES. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO GET THE CAR INTO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE WITHIN SEVEN DAYS. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR SERVICE THE VERY NEXT MORNING BY 7:45 AM. WAS INFORMED THAT THE WORK TO CORRECT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE DRIVE TRAIN/TRANSMISSION WARRANTY, AND BECAUSE OF THE EXISTENCE OF AN INTERNAL BULLETIN THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR IN THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED. THE CAR WAS SOLD TO ME WITH A 100,000 MILE TRANSMISSION AND DRIVE-TRAIN WARRANTY. I WAS FORCED TO PAY THE TAXES OF $ 14.09. *TR

THE STEERING WHEEL/RACK HAS KNOWN ISSUES ALREADY DOCUMENTED BY THE NHTSA. WHEN DRIVING, ESPECIALLY AT SPEEDS > 50MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL "LOCK UP" OR FEEL "NOTCHY" WITHOUT CONSTANT DRIVER INPUT. WHEN PERFORMING INTERSTATE DRIVING YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THE STEERING CONSTANTLY FEELING LIKE ITS LOCKING UP UNTIL EXCESSIVE FORCE IS USED TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL (MORE THEN A FEW FINGERS WORTH OF STRENGTH). DEFINITELY UNNATURAL AND DEFINITELY AN ISSUE FOR A BRAND NEW CAR. STARTED SINCE 5K MILES, VEHICLE HAS APPRXOIMATELY 15K MILES NOW AND THE ISSUE IS GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. DOCUMENTED ONLINE IS THAT THE STEERING RACK HAS A DESIGN FLAW WHICH ALLOWS AIR INSIDE THE STEERING RACK, CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO FEEL NOTCHY OR LIKE IT IS LOCKING UP. BEING THAT THE ISSUE IS GETTING WORSE, I EXPECT THERE TO BE A MAJOR FAILURE AT SOME POINT AND WANTED THIS DOCUMENTED. WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, I KEPT FEELING THE VEHICLE SURGE AS IF IT WERE TRYING TO DRIVE FORWARD EVEN THOUGH I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. WHILE BACKING UP INTO A PARKING SPACE A WOMAN DECIDED TO WALK BEHIND MY CAR SO I TRIED TO STOP. THE CAR DID NOT STOP AND THE WOMAN HAD TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. THE CAR EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS ALL THE WAY DOWN DID NOT STOP UNTIL THE CAR HIT A METAL POLE ON THE WALL OF THE PARKING GARAGE. AS OF TODAY THE CAR IS STILL HAVING PROBLEMS AND CHEVY TELLS ME IN EVERY VISIT THAT THE PROBLEMS IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

I TALKED TO GM CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE SEVERAL MORE TIMES. SERVICE MANAGER ASKED ME TO BRING VEHICLE BACK IN TODAY (OCT. 21). I REPORTED SAME STORY AND LEFT VEHICLE AT DEALER. THEY CALLED ME BACK AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL. I TALKED TO GM AGAIN AND REPORTED EVERYTHING. CALLED MY AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY AND REPORTED ISSUE. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT SINCE THERE ARE NO LIGHTS COMING ON THE DASH, THERE IS NO FIX. IN APRIL OF 2013 MY 2013 CHEVY CRUZE SHUT OFF WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE OFF FROM A RED LIGHT THAT JUST TURNED GREEN, AS SOON AS I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF. THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND ME SO I IMMEDIATELY TRIED TURNING THE CAR ON BUT I HAD TO PUT IT PARK THEN START IT AGAIN AND CONTINUED EN ROUTE AND DID NOT THINK ANYTHING OF IT. THIS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. THE FOURTH INCIDENT I HAD A CAR FULL OF FAMILY MEMBER AND WE WERE GETTING ON THE FREEWAY ON RAMP SLOWING TO COME TO A STOP WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN SO AS SOON AS I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR SHUT DOWN AND I HAD NO CONTROL AND WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND LUCKILY THERE WAS NO CAR IN THE LANE OVER SO THE TRUCK BEHIND ME SWERVED INTO THE NEXT LANE AND I ONCE AGAIN PUT THE CAR IN PARK STARTED AGAIN AND IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT A FEW WEEKS LATER THAT THEY FIGURED THE PROBLEM WAS A LOW OCTANE GAS AND I JUST NEEDED TO START USING CHEVRON ONLY AND THEY WOULD GIVE ME $250 IN CHEVRON GAS CARDS. I REFUSED TO PICK UP THE CAR BECAUSE I ALREADY ONLY USED CHEVRON GAS IN THE VEHICLE SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN DECEMBER 2012 WITH ONLY 3 MILES. AFTER 2 MONTHS OF ARGUING BACK IN FORTH ABOUT THEM NOT HAVING A FIX FOR THE CAR I RETURNED THE RENTAL AND PURCHASED A DIFFERENT VEHICLE ELSEWHERE AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH GM WHICH ALSO GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND ABOUT THE VEHICLE BEING FIXED WHEN IT WASN'T EVER WORKED ON TO THIS DAY THEY HAVE THE CAR AND I AM NOW IN COLLECTIONS AND CONTINUING THIS HEADACHE WITH GM.
