FOR SOME REASON WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR IT STARTS SHAKING SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS WHEN I START DRIVING OR WHEN I BRAKE I TRIED TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND IT LOOKS THAT IT IS THE DRIVE SHAFT. I THOUGH THAT IT IS SOMETHING THAT ONLY HAPPENED TO ME BUT I FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE MORE CARS INVOLVED IN THAT BUT MY CHEVY CRUZE 2013 LOOKS LIKE IT IS NOT NOT ONE OF THOSE. WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT ?
I AM WRITING TO REQUEST AN INVESTIGATION INTO CHEVROLET CRUZE HEATER BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR FAILURES. THE ISSUE IS A SMALL PLASTIC GEAR THAT STRIPS OUT AND DOES NOT ALLOW THE BLEND DOOR TO CYCLE FROM WINDSHIELD DEFROST / DASH VENTS / AND FLOOR VENTS. THIS IS A HIGH SAFETY CONCERN IN COLD / RAINY WEATHER DRIVING DUE TO THE VEHICLE OPERATOR IS UNABLE TO ADJUST THE BLED DOOR TO DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IN TURN ALLOWS THE WINDSHIELD TO BECOME FOGGED, (OR FROSTY IN EXTREME COLD) WHICH LEADS TO VERY POOR VISIBILITY. I HAVE A PROFESSIONAL YOUTUBE CHANNEL THAT SHOWS THE ISSUE IN DETAIL THE LINK IS HTTPS://YOUTU.BE/I5PDAIA0P-8 QUOTES TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE RANGE FROM $800.00 TO $1500.00. BEING THIS FAILURE CAN LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT CAUSED FROM POOR VISIBILITY FROM AN OBVIOUS DESIGN FLAW, TO CUT CORNERS AND SAVE MONEY, THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT. MY VIDEO HAS NEARLY 11,000 VIEWS FROM PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM. ALSO ALMOST EVERY FORUM ONLINE HAVE PEOPLE DISCUSSING THIS PROBLEM. I BELIEVE IT IS N BAD TASTE FOR CHEVROLET TO NOT YET ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AS A RECALL.

THE CONTACT ALSO HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EVERYBODY RIDES AUTO SALES (4200 RIVERS AVE, NORTH CHARLESTON, SC, (843) 203-8888) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
TAKATA RECALL A FEW MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THEN IT GOES OFF THE LAST FEW MONTHS IT'S BACK ON AND MAKES A NOISE WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM IS ON.
WHILE MAKING RIGHT TURN IN CITY, CAR JERKED, ALMOST LOST CONTROL AND "SERVICE POWER STEERING" LIGHT CAME ON, THEN CAR RECOVERED AND WAS DRIVEN HOME
FROM ONSTAR: P0087 THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SYSTEM IS NOT PERFORMING AS EXPECTED. AN ISSUE HAS BEEN DETECTED IN THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM WHICH MONITORS AND CONTROLS ENGINE TEMPERATURE TO MAINTAIN OPTIMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURES AND AVOID OVERHEATING CONDITIONS. IF YOU ARE DRIVING UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS, PLEASE CHECK THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IF THE NEEDLE IS IN THE RED WARNING AREA, THE ENGINE IS TOO HOT. PULL OFF THE ROAD, STOP THE VEHICLE, AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SERVICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE CONDITIONS: DRIVING 30MPH, ASPHAULT, WINTER WEATHER
WIPER ASSEMBLY BROKE AND DEALER REPLACED ASSEMBLY AND MOTOR, 1 MONTH LATER NEW ASSEMBLY HAS BROKEN AGAIN, CAUSING WIPER ARMS TO FREEZE
VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING LOSING COMPLETE POWER AND STEERING! SO DANGEROUS AND DEADLY! TAKING THE CAR IN TODAY, CAR ALSO RIDING ROUGH AND MISFIRING. ALL MAINTENANCE DONE EVERY 3,000 MILES. THIS CAR HAS HAD ONE PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER AND THIS LAST ONE COULD HAVE KILLED MY TEENAGER DAUGHTER! IT STOPPED ON HER 5 TIMES ON THE FREEWAY!
ENGINE OVERHEATING REGULAR MAINTENANCE PERFORMED EVERY 3,000 MILES COOLANT SYSTEM PLUGS REPLACED SPARK PLUGS REPLACED DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED (FIRESTONE) DEALERSHIP INSPECTED EMISSIONS TEST PASSED CAR'S ONBOARD DISPLAY REPEATEDLY DISPLAYS "A/C OFF DUE TO HIGH ENGINE TEMPERATURE" AND "ENGINE OVERHEATING - IDLE ENGINE" WHEN NOT UNDER LOAD AND OCCURS AT REGULAR HIGHWAY (55-75MPH) AND CITY (30-45MPH) SPEEDS. CEL FLASHES (3-5 SECONDS OF INTERVAL FLASH) RANDOMLY - SPARK PLUGS REPLACED LAST OCCURANCE.
MY 2013 CHEVY CRUZE LT HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE TURBOCHARGER. IT APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE AMONG CHEVY CRUZES. THE CODE I BELIEVE IT GIVES IS P0299. WHILE THE ACCELERATION AND POWER ALWAYS SEEMED OFF SINCE PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT, THE FIRST TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WAS AT ABOUT 71,400. I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT THE TIME. HOWEVER, THERE HAVE BEEN OCCASIONS WHEN I'M GOING UPHILL AND DESPITE THE SUFFICIENT HORSEPOWER, IT WON'T ACCELERATE AS IT SHOULD. AS A RESULT, THE TURBOCHARGER ISSUE HAS CAUSED THE CAR TO GO MUCH SLOWER THAN THE SURROUNDING CARS WHILE GOING UPHILL, WHICH CLEARLY SEEMS TO ENDANGER THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS AS WELL AS SURROUNDING CARS.
A/C OFF DUE TO EXTREME HIGH ENGINE TEMPERATURE CAM ON A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, I TOOK IT IN AND IT WAS FIXED SUPPOSEDLY. A WEEK LATER IT CAME ON AGAIN. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN 4 TIME NOW. AS OF TODAY IT IS STILL IN THE SHOP. THEY HAD TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER FOR SOME HELP AND STILL, EVEN A NEW COMPUTER AND THE LIGHT STILL COMES ON. THIS IS GETTING TO BE TOO MUCH. I HAVE TO GO TO WORK.
I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THE RADIO TURNED OFF, I BARELY MADE IT BEFORE GETTING HIT. THE STEERING WHEEL UNLOCKED AND I TURNED INTO THE FIRST PLACE I COULD. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TRIED TO START IT BUT THE BRAKE WAS LOCKED AND NOTHING WAS TURNING ON WHEN I PUSHED THE BUTTON. TRIED A FEW TIMES AND NOTHING. WHILE SITTING THERE FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES THE WHOLE DASH CAME ON AND I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR. THE RADIO HAD BEEN TURNING ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES ON THIS DRIVE BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. BUT THE RADIO HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR SOME TIME .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED, JERKED, AND FAILED TO MOVE BEFORE SPONTANEOUSLY ACCELERATING. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BOB BELL NISSAN (7900 EASTERN AVE, BALTIMORE, MD 21224, (410) 288-2500) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
VEHICLE DORMANT WATER INLET, DORMANT WATER OUTLET AND RESERVOIR HOSE ARE ALL FAULTY. CAR WILL LEAK COOLANT DUE TO ALL THREE ISSUES. THIS CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO OVERHEATAND BEGIN TO SLOW ON ITS OWN WITH NO REGARD FOR LOCATION OR THE DRIVER. I.E. SLOWING ON THE HIGHWAY PLACING THE DRIVER AT RISK. THE DORMANT WATER OUTLET IS MADE OF TWO PLASTIC MOLDINGS THAT ARE BONDED OR PRESSED TOGETHER LEAVING A SEEM WHERE HOSES CONNECT THESE SEEMS ARE WEEK AND SEEM TO BE THE MAIN SOURCE OF PEOPLES ISSUE INCLUDING MINE. ALONG WITH THE COOLANT ISSUE THE VALVE COVER PURGE VALVE IS FAULTY ALSO CAUSING EXHAUST TO NOT EXIT THE ENGINE UNDER CERTAIN PSI CAUSES SQUEAKING AND POOR THROTTLE RESPONSE ALSO WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE THE PCV ITSELF TO FAULT OR BREAK.THIS ISSUE MAY BE THE SOURCE OF THE CAR PULLING WHILE STOPED AT A RED LIGHT CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JERK FORWARD AND POSSIBLY MISFIRING THE ENGINE PISTONS. VEHICLE IS NOT WORTH THE VALUE PAID FOR. ALL ISSUE SEEM TO ARISE AFTER 36000 MILES AND AFTER 5 YEARS WHICH MEANS THESE MANUFACTURER DEFECTS ARE NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. THERE ARE MORE ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL. I AM SURE I WILL BE BACK HERE REPORTING MORE ISSUES. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED BECAUSE IT SEEMS THAT ALL CHEVY WANTS IS MY MONEY AT THIS POINT.
ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AIR LEAK CAME FROM VALVE COVER. APPARENTLY THE COVER AND MANIFOLD WENT BAD. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL AND PERMANENT FIX ON THIS IMMEDIATELY. TOO MANY OF THESE CARS ARE BEING SOLD, TOO MUCH MONEY IS BEING MADE NOT TO HAVE A FIX FOR THIS. MY CAR IS 16,000 MILES OUT OF WARRANTY. RIDICULOUS!
STEERING RANDOMLY COMPLETELY LOCKED IN MOTION. SEEMINGLY RANDOM ELECTRICAL PROBLEM REMEDIED ON ITS OWN AND REQUIRED SERVICE TECHNICIAN TO CHECK IT OUT TO ASSES SAFETY. CANT BE SURE OF THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE NOW.
CAR IS HAVING TURBO PROBLEMS. NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, BUT IT SHOWS A TURBO UNDERBOOST DEFECT. SAYS ONLINE IT IS COMMON AMONGST CHEVY CRUZES
INFERIOR PARTS! THERMOSTAT HOUSING HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED BY DEALER DUE TO CRACK. NOW, THE INTAKE MANIFOLD, FRONT CRANK SHAFT SEAL & COOLANT RESERVOIR NEED TO BE REPLACED AS WELL. CHECK VALVE ON INTAKE MANIFOLD IS BAD. CRANK SHAFT SEAL MAKES CHIRPING NOISE WHEN ENGINE IS RUNNING OR WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE AIR BAG SENSOR INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ED BOZARTH CHEVROLET (303-751-7500, LOCATED AT 2001 S HAVANA ST, AURORA, CO 80014) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST. THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT DISCLOSE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS LATER INFORMED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V372000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED A TEN PERCENT DISCOUNT TOWARDS THE REPAIR COST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 47,000.
EXACT SAME COOLANT SYSTEM PROBLEMS AS IN THE EARLIER MODEL CHEVY CRUZE RECALLS. FAULTY COOLANT SYSTEM, SPECIFICALLY A LEAKING WATER PUMP, INACCURATE THERMOSTAT AND LEAKING COOLANT FEED AND RETURN LINES TO THE TURBOCHARGER. SO FAR IT HAS COST ME CLOSE TO $1500 AT ONLY 110K MILES AND I STILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE BLOWN HEAD GASKET WHICH WAS THE RESULT OF THE COOLANT SYSTEM BEING UNABLE TO COOL THE ENGINE PROPERLY DUE TO THE BAD WATER PUMP. TOTAL LEMON, THIS WILL BE THE SECOND TIME THE HEAD GASKET IS BLOWN WITHIN TWO YEARS.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE STREET. SMOKE COMING FROM UNDERHOOD VERY HARD ALMOST LOOK TO BE ON FIRE. OIL SPILL EVERYWHERE. CAR IS IN SHOP NOW. THEY SAID IT IS A TURBO ISSUE, WHICH HE SAID IS VERY COMMON ON THE CRUZE. COULD CAUSE ENGINE DAMAGE.
THE INTAKE MANIFOLD IS BAD ON A CAR THAT HAS 58,000 MILES ON IT. EVERY MECHANIC WE TOOK IT TOOK SAID IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. THE CAR HAS NO GET UP AND GO AND IT IDLES HARD.
I SMELLED GAS LEAKING AND WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING I SAW GAS SPRAYING THE BACK OF MY CAR. IT APPEARED TO BE LEAKING FROM THE HOSE WHERE THE CONNECTER WAS NEXT TO WHAT MAY BE THE FUEL FILTER. THIS CAR IS 5 YEARS OLD WITH 30,375 MILES. I WAS TOLD THE PART IS ON THE NATIONAL BACK ORDER LIST WITH NO IDEAL WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDERGOING ROUTINE SERVICE, THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DISCOVERED COOLANT LEAKING FROM THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (KEYES CHEVROLET, 5949 VAN NUYS BLVD, VAN NUYS, CA) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THERMOSTAT AND COOLANT PIPE SEAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.
THE VEHICLE WILL OCASSIONALLY NOT STOP WHEN PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO THE BRAKES. I HAVE NOTICED IT OCCURS MOST OFTEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE. THE BRAKE PEDAL ALSO GETS HARD. IT DOES NOT OCCUR ALL THE TIME.
TURNED ONTO A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND A CODE CAME ON AND THEN IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE, MADE SOME WEIRD CLANKING NOISE, THE NOISE COMES AND GOES BUT IS LOUD, RPMS WERE HIGH. CAR HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED OIL CHANGES EVERY 3000 MILES. TOOK TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND PROBLEM WAS UNIDENTIFIED. CALLING DEALERSHIP IN THE MORNING.
CAR WOULDN'T START. GOT A "SERVICE STEERING COLUMN LOCK" ON THE DASH. WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME. BUT ENGINE START AND STOP STILL SOUNDS BAD.
THE ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AT 67,000 MILES, STRONG JERKING ACTION WHILE ACCELERATING. AT FIRST IT WAS DIAGNOSISED AS HAVING A BAD SENSOR, BUT I'VE TAKEN IT IN FOR REPAIRS NOW 6 TIMES AND I'VE HEARD ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT THINGS, EVERYTHING FROM "NO ISSUES", "BAD KNOCK SENSOR", "EMS SYSTEM ISSUE", "CARBON BUILD-UP ON THE PISTONS", "METAL SHAVINGS IN THE OIL" - IT'S OBVIOUS THAT NO ONE KNOWS WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT BUT IT OFTEN FEELS LIKE THE CAR IS ABOUT TO STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE. ALL PROPER SERVICE/MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN PERFORMED ON THE CAR.
HI I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY TURBO AND I SEEN THAT GENERAL MOTORS HAD A RECALL IN 2014 ON CHEVY CRUZES TURBO I DIDN'T KNOW HAVE MY CAR AROUND THAT TIME AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THERE WAS PREVIOUS OWNERS GOT THE RECALL BUT I READ ONLINE GENERAL MOTORS STOP SELLING THESE VEHICLES FOR A WHILE BECAUSE THE SAME ISSUES BUT THEY HAVE A RECALL ON IT'S THE SAME ISSUE I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH ON MY 2013 CHEVY CRUZE AND THE CAR IS NOT BACK THAT BUY WARRANTY BECAUSE IT'S 6 YEARS OLD THE TURBO OF THE CAR HAS A WHOLE CAR SMOKING YOU TURN IT ON IT FEELS LIKE THE WHOLE CAR IS GOING TO BLOW UP JON HALL TO GET DIAGNOSTIC WHICH IS $100 BUT I HAD ALREADY GOT IT DONE GNOSTICS FROM AUTOZONE BUT JON HALL CHEVROLET DON'T GO BY ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC WHICH BOTH CAME OUT TO THE SAME THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THAT I AM HAVING GENERAL MOTORS BUT ALL THE VEHICLES ALL BUT BUT IT SEEMS AS IF CRUZES FELL THROUGH THE CRACKS IF YOU LOOK OUT ON THE ROAD THAT'S ALL YOU SEE IS TURBO CRUZES THE VEHICLE WAS SO EASY GIVING AWAY UNTIL EVERYBODY GOT ONE THE FAX SO I GUESS YOU JUST VICTIMS AT THE TIME I WAS JUST THANKFUL TO HAVE A CAR NO MATTER IF IT IS A 2013 THE PRICE TO FIX THAT TURBO IS RIDICULOUS JON HALL THEM CHARGE YOU FOR LABOR FEE 400 BUCKS I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO EVEN GET TO THE TURBO NOW THAT MY CAR IS HAVING TURBO FAILURE
SECOND COOLANT LEAK IN TWO MONTHS
TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM, I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS SYSTEM EVER SINCE I PURCHASED MY CAR. EVERY ATTEMPT TO FIX IT HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. WHEN THE DEALERSHIP RESETS IT, IT GOES WONKY AND DISPLAYS INCORRECT INFO ABOUT TIRE PRESSURE AND LOCATION OF TIRE WITH THAT PRESSURE. IT RECENTLY SHOWED THAT ONE OF MY TIRES HAD A NO DISPLAY READING AND A "SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM" ALERT. AND WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICING, THEY TOLD ME ITS NOT COVERED BY ANY WARRENTY (WHICH I HAVE THE EXTENDED WARRENTY). THIS SEEMS TO ME TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT IS APPARENTLY IMPORTANT TO THE SYSTEM TO DISPLAY IT ON MY SERVICING SCREEN (AND AFFECTS MY GAS MILEAGE THAT AFFECTS MY EMISSIONS)! SO WHY ISN'T IT COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURES WARRENTY? WHY HAVE IT THERE AT ALL THEN!?PERHAPS IT IS A JOB SECURITY THING JUST TO BRING IN REVENUE. ITS B***S*** I THINK!!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, HE HEARD A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE AND IT FAILED TO START WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TO JUMPSTART THE BATTERY IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO START AND RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KLEIN AUTO (111 W MADISON ST, CLINTONVILLE, WI 54929, (715) 823-2135), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE OCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR MULTIPLE TIMES TO GET IT FIXED. AS I AM DRIVING THE CAR THE RADIO TURNS OFF. THEN THE ENGINE ITSELF TURNS OFF. NOT ONLY THAT, AS I AM DRIVING IT THE STEERING WHEEL STOPS WORKING AND THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF. I HAVE SPENT OVER 7,000 DOLLARS IN REPAIRS AND I CAN NO LONGER AFFORD FOR REPAIRS. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION ON THIS CAR AS MY LIFE SEEMS TO BE THREATENED AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY THE CAR GOES ON AND OFF WHILE IN DRIVE. THE CHEVY ECO CRUZE HAS BEEN GIVING ME PROBLEMS FROM THE START. I WAS DRIVING WITH THE AC ON AND CAME TO A SIGNAL LIGHT WHEN THE AC SHUTS OF & COMES BACK ON. ALSO AT THE SIGNAL LIGHT I THAUGHT I HAD GOTTEN A TAP FROM THE BACK FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE THE CAR JERKED. TURNED OUT NO CAR BEHIND ME BUT CAR STILL JERKS FORWARD WITH FOOT ALL THE WAY DOWN ON BRAKE PEDAL. NEXT IF I'M DRIVING AND SLOW DOWN TO MAKE, LET'S SAY A LEFT HAND TURN ONCE I MAKE THE TURN THE CAR IS SLUGGISH AS IF IT HAS TROUBLE PICKING UP SPEED. HAPPENS ALL THE TIME FROM A STOPPED POSITION OR IF I SLOW DOWN IT TAKES FOR EVER TO PICK UP MOMENTUM. MAKING IT SCAREY TO MERGE OR JUST BE ON THE ROAD. ALSO IF I TURN THE RADIO UP THE LIGHTS WILL DIE OR FADE SO I'VE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR BUT IT STILL DOES IT. IVE CHECKED CONNECTIONS WIRES YOU NAME IT.
I HAD MY SPARK PLUGS CHANGED THE DAY BEFORE ON THE 7/06/2018 AS I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY TO TAKE MY GRANDDAUGHTER TO CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY MY CAR STARTED TO SOUND LIKE A BIRD WHEN I PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR IT STARTED TO SINGING. SO I MADE IT BACK HOME, BUT SOUND IT HAD PICKED UP, SO I CALLED BACK TO MACHANIC AND THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT BACK IN AND THEY CHECKED AND SAID IT WAS MY WATER PUMP I BELIEVE. BECAUSE OF WHERE IT WAS DRIPPING. THEY TOLD ME WHAT IT WILL COST TO GET IT FIXED, THEY TOLD ME TO KEEP SOME WATER IN AS WELL ANTIFREEZE. SO THAT WHAT I DID, BUT I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO GET IT FIXED RIGHT NOW. THE FIRST PICTURE IS WHAT THEY FIXED WHERE IT SHOWS THE SOLID BLACK CAP, THEY REPLACED A GASKET BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THEU SILLED RIGHT TO KEEP IT LEAKING OR SOMETHING BEHIND WHERE YOU PUT MOTOR OIL IN. THE PICTURE SHOWS WHERE IT IS DRIPPING DOWN.
I STARTED THAT THERE WAS A PART THEY FIXED AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT I IT IS CALLED, BUT THE BLACK CAP THAT IS DIRECTLY BEHIND THE AREA WHERE YOU PUT THE MOTOR OIL IS WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS OPENED (IT HAD A BUBBLE OR IT HAS SMALL PART OF THE RUBBLE HAD CAME UP. SO PUT A NEW ONE IT. NOT DEALERSHIP ANOTHER WELL KNOWN GARAGE MACHANIC WHO HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS OVER 25 YEARS. I TOOK IT TOOK AUTO ADVANCE AND THE SAID THAT THEY DIDN'T FINISH SEALING THE GASKET ON THIS AREA. I DON'T WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY THERMOSTAT EITHER.

MY CAR KEEPS SAYING AC TURNING OFF DUE TO ENGINE OVERHEATING BUT THE ACTUAL CAR IS NOT OVERHEATING, BUT THE COOLANT IN THE RESERVOIR IS BOILING AND LEAVING THE COMPARTMENT QUICKLY. WHEN I DRIVE A WHILE, I CAN SEE STEAM COMING FROM THE SIDE WHERE THE COOLANT IS LOCATED AND IT IS BOILING ONCE I OPENED IT.

I BOUGHT A 2013 CHEVY CRUZE A YEAR AGO. THE BRAKES FAIL WHEN CAR IS IN REVERSE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL GETS HARD. IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY BUT I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I'M AFRAID FOR MY SON TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. THERE ARE NO RECALLS BUT AN INTERNET SEARCH SAYS THERE ARE MANY BRAKE PROBLEMS WITH ALL CRUZES. NOT HAPPY I MADE THIS PURCHASE AND WILL BE TRADING THIS IN IF THE NEXT SERVICE APPT DOESNT FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON, SO I TOOK IT IN AND THEY SAID THE VALVE COVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACE. THE COST WAS $280.00 TO REPLACE IT. WHEN STARTING THE CAR THERE IS A LOUD CLANKING NOISE. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN STARTING THE CAR. WE THOUGHT REPLACING THE VALVE COVER WOULD CORRECT THIS ISSUE, BUT IT DID NOT. THE CAR STILL HAS A REALLY LOUD CLANKING NOISE. ONCE THE CAR IS MOVING IT DRIVES FINE. (MANUAL SHIFT CAR) HOWEVER OUR FEARS ARE THAT IF SOMETHING BREAKS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY, THAT IT COULD CAUSE ENGINE LOSS OR WORSE FREEZE IN THE MIDDLE OF CARS DRIVING 75MPH AND CAUSE A SEVER ACCIDENT. CAN Y'ALL PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS AND LET ME KNOW IF THERE HAS BEEN ANY RECALLS WITH THIS ISSUE?
COOLANT HOSE LEAK RUPTURED WITHOUT CAUSE OR WARNING CAUSING ENTIRE HOSING SYSTEM TO EXPLODE AND CAR OVERHEATED OBVIOUSLY WHILE DRIVING. IT RESULTED IN THERMOSTAT AND HOUSING ALONG WITH ADDITIONAL COOLANT HOUSING TO BE REPLACED ABOUT A MONTH AGO. NOW MY CAR IS BELLOWING WHITE SMOKE AND IDLING FUNNY AND I FIND OUT I'VE BLOWN A GASKET. MY VIN ISN'T LISTED BUT I SEE OTHER CHEVYS WITH THIS SAME COOLANT HOSE WEAKNESS ISSUE AS MINE. APPEARS THERE ARE MORE THAN JUST THOSE LISTED. EXTREMELY COSTLY REPAIR. ALSO HAVE SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THE FUEL INJECTION/TAKE OFF WITH NO POWER AND SLOW TO GO WHICH HAS ALMOST BEEN DEADLY IN HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHEVY.
WHEN CAR IS RUNNING THERE IS A KNOCKING AND WHINING UNDER THE HOOD AND THEN WHEN DRIVING THE CAR JERKS OR BOGGLED DOWN LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO DIE. TODAY THE 'SERVICE STABILITRAK' LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR BECAME WORSE WITH THE JERKING AND WHEN AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR DIED. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND IT IS PUSH TO START BUT SOUNDED ALMOST FLOODED.

(AT THIS MOMENT I'VE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR 23 DAYS) I HAD THE CAR LOOKED OVER BY MY MECHANIC AND EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD AND FINE. AND SINCE DAY 1 THESE ARE THE RECALLS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE ON THIS VEHICLE BUT NOT FOR MY VIN BUT IS HAPPENING WITH THE CAR IN ORDER FROM WHEN FIRST NOTICED. FIRST I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND THE CAR JERKED FORWARD AND HONESTLY SCARED ME AS IT FELT LIKE I HAD JUST BEEN HIT BY THE CAR BEHIND ME. ( WHICH WASNT THE CASE AS I GOT OUT TO CHECK). WELL THEN AFTER A FEW DAYS IM ON THE INTERSTATA AND DECIDED TO USE THE SPEED CONTROL, AT FIRST IT WAS JUST LIKE YOU WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE BUT AFTER NOT EVEN 5 MINUTES THE CAR STARTS ACTING LIKE IN TAPPING AND RELEASING THE GAS AND WILL NOT STOP UNLESS SPEED CONTROL IS TURNED OFF OR STOPPED. SO THEN I RUN OVER A NAIL AND GO TO REPLACE THE TIRE AND THE MECHANIC LOOKS OVER THE CAR AGAIN AND BRING AN OIL LEAK TO MY ATTTENTION FROM THE OIL PAN AND SHOWN VISIBLE OIL ON THE GASKET. (ALREADY UNDER MY LIMITED DEALER WARRANTY). SO SINCE THEN I HAVE CHECKED THE OIL EVERY DAY JUST TO BE SURE IM NOT RUNNING LOW AND IT WASNT LOW. WELL LIKE A WEEK LATER I MAKE A DRIVE I HAVE ACTUALLY MADE IN THIS CAR ABOUT 6 TIMES ALREADY TO HAVE LUNCH WITH A FRIEND AND WHEN I GET THERE TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN THE FRIEND IS 10 MIN AWAY SO I RESTART THE CAR FOR THE AC. DIDNT HAVE THE CAR BACK ON FOR 2 MIN AND THE CAR STARTED BEEPING WITH ENGINE OVERHEAT WARNING. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND POPPED HOOD TO CHECK AND FROM THE OVERHEATING I GUESS THERE WAS PRESSURE ON THE HOSE IT JUST POPPED THE HOSE FROM THE CLAMP AND COOLANT WENT EVERY WHERE. HAD BEEN AWAY FROM THE CAR AND CAR WAS COOLED AND ADDED MORE COOLANT TO IT. AND EVERYTHING IS FINE. WELL THEN THE NEXT NIGHT OUT OF NO WHERE THE HEAD GASKET BLEW

CAR HAS BEEN RETURNED TO DEALER FOR REPAIRS CONCERNING THE MOTOR AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN SERVICED OUTSIDE OF THE DEALERSHIP. CAR FREQUENTLY QUITS AND HAS TO BE JUMPSTARTED.
