MODE DOOR ACTUATOR WILL NOT DIRECT AIR TO WINDSHIELD. THEREFORE WILL NOT DEFROST WINDSHIELD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE HAD A STEERING (STEERING WHEEL WITH A RANCH) AND THE TRACTION WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOOSE AND FAILED TO TURN APPROPRIATELY WHEN DESIRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT THEN CONTACTED THE HEALEY GM DEALER WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 18 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE WRENCH WARNING SENSOR INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. SHORTLY AFTER, THE STEERING WHEEL RETURNED TO NORMAL AND THE CONTACT REGAINED CONTROL. IN ADDITION, OTHER ERROR WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMIANTED AS THE WINDOW ROLLED UP AND DOWN. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 71,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
MY CHEVY CRUZE STABILITY TRACK CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS AND MY CAR LOSES POWER AND I LOSE STEERING CONTROL AND MUST PULL OVER ON THE FREEWAY. IT HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES. PLUS MY STEREO GOES OUT. MY CHEVY DEALER SAID IT IS NOT COVERED BECAUSE MY WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. MUST PAY OVER $400 TO REPAIR THE FAULTY INDICATOR. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY PROBLEM BECAUSE IT CAN HAPPEN WHEN I AM ON THE FREEWAY GOING 65 MPH AND MY CAR DECELERATES DOWN TO 40 MPH AND I COULD CRASH? IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE ON THE FREEWAY AND THREE TIMES ON THE CITY STREET.
IN PARK AT RANDOM TIMES THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT WILL COME ON. THE CAR IS REAL SLUGGISH AT TAKE OF, I CAN NOT LEAVE A STOP SIGN WITH A CAR ANY LESS THAN 40-50 CAR LINKS AWAY WITHOUT FEAR OF GETTING HIT. WHEN THE SPEED FINALLY STARTS TO PICK UP IT SHIFTS ROUGH AT TIMES. THE CAR ALSO FEELS LIKE IT IS JUMPING WHEN IN DRIVE AND HOLDING THE BRAKE.
WHILE DRIVING, POWER STEERING LOCKED UP, CAR TURNED OFF AND THEN BACK ON. THE RADIO TURNED OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND CLOSE DRIVER WINDOW LIT UP. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON 4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS NOW. STEERING LOCKED UP WHILE ON I-95. RADIO ON AND OFF WHILE TURNING ONTO HIGHWAY AND WINDOW MESSAGE WHILE CAR WAS STATIONARY.
AFTER DRIVING I PARK AND REMOVED THE KEY, THE ENGINE TURN ON AND 2 SECONDS TURNS OFF, I MENTION TO MY BOSS, AND MY 12YRS OLD SON WE GOT SCARED I THOUGH SOME SPELL OR SOMETHING.STILL DOES THAT 3 TIMES OF MONTH
GOT INTO A VERY MINOR FENDER BENDER AND THE CAR WENT UP IN FLAMES. AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED BECAUSE I WASN'T GOING FAST ENOUGH. BUT YET MY CAR BURNED.
RADIO CONSOLE GETS REAL HOT TO TOUCH. GOES AWAY THEN GETS HOT AGAIN. YEARLY PROBLEM. DONT WANT FIRE HAZARD. IS THIS NORMAL? VEHICLE REQUIRED EXTENSIVE RECALLS SINCE PURCHASE IN 2013.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON THE HIGHWAY MY RADIO WILL TURN OFF AND ON MULTIPLE TIMES AND MY STABILITY CONTROL WILL TURN OFF AND IT WILL BE HARD TO TURN THE VEHICAL. A WARNING COMES ON THE INFORMATION SCREEN SAYING CHECK STABILITY CONTROL AND ALSO CHECK POWER STEERING. IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES IT HAVE HAPPENED TODAY AS WELL AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FEEDER
MY IGNITION KEY BROKE OFF DURING DRIVING. THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF AND I COULD HAVE DIED BY HITTING THE RAILING. I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THE SERVICE LADY SAID SHE HAS SEEN THIS HAPPEN MANY TIMES. THE KEYS METAL BROKE OFF. THE KEYS ARE MADE OF SOME KIND OF CHEAP METAL. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZZARD. PLEASE HELP THOSE ON THE ROAD AVOID A CATASTOPHY.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED. BRUISES TO THE FACE, NECK, AND LEG. ADDITIONALLY THE DRIVER'S LEFT HAND WAS OVEREXTENDED. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,042.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 17 MPH, THE "ENGINE OVERHEATING" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE TO AN AUTO PARTS STORE WHERE AN EMPLOYEE ATTEMPTED TO ADD COOLANT, AND NOTICED THAT THE TEXTURE AND COLOR OF THE COOLANT IN THE VEHICLE WAS WRONG. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. A DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT COOLANT WAS LEAKING FROM THE WATER PUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY STEERING LOCKED UP. TWO DAY AFTER POWER STEERING LIGHT AND STABILLTRAK LIGHTS WERE ON
LOOKING FOR A RECALL NOTHING ? A LOT OF ROAD NOISE FROM TIRES ON A 2013 CHEVY CRUZ WITH 31000 MILES
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE CAR LOST ALL POWER IN A VERY REMOTE PART ON THE INTERSTATE. THIS WAS AT 9 O'CLOCK PM ON A SUNDAY. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 5 MPH. HAD TO TAKE THE BATTERY CONNECTORS OFF TO CLEAR THE CODES AND THEN WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE HOME. COULD NOT GO MORE THAN 50 MPH OR THE ENGINE WOULD JUMP AND THE CAR WOULD DECELERATE. AGAIN, I WAS ON I-10, AT 9PM, 6 HOURS AWAY FROM HOME. WHEN I GOT BACK TO TOWN, I TOOK THE CAR TO GET SERVICED AND WHEN I GOT THE CAR BACK THE FIRST TIME, I PULLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND THE CAR STILL WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WHEN THEY SAID IT WAS READY FOR PICKUP, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. LEFT THE CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP TO GET SERVICED AGAIN. PICKED UP THE CAR THIS PAST SATURDAY AND WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE IT ON SUNDAY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. WILL BE DROPPING THE CAR OFF AGAIN AT THE DEALERSHIP AFTER WORK.
"TAKATA RECALL"- THE DASH LIGHTS CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE STREERING WHEEL LOCKS UP WHILE THE CAR IN DRIVING AT 70MPH. MESSASGE ABOUT THE ELECTRICAL STABILITY CONTROL POPS UP.
"SERVICE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM" ERROR MESSAGES - 2 BODY MODULES BAD AND ALREADY REPLACED ONCE. MODULE FAILURE CAUSES ADDITIONAL CASCADING FAILURES THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE SYSTEM AND AFFECTS DASH CONTROLS/TURN-SIGNALS, MPG, FUEL CALCULATIONS & NOW "MY LINK" SCREEN BLANK WITH "SERVICE PARKING ASST MESSAGE ON DASH. SINCE MYLINK SCREEN DEAD, RADIO DIALS/CONTROLS DO NOT WORK AND CANNOT SEE/CONTROL HEATING CONTROLS AND NAVIGATION SCREEN DEAD AS WELL. THESE SAME TWO SIDE MODULES WERE ALREADY REPLACED ONCE UNDER WARRANTY, BUT SINCE VEHICLE IS NOW OVER ON MILEAGE, I AM LEFT ON MY OWN TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. MODULES GET BASICALLY ONE WINTER SEASON HERE IN THE NORTHEAST AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. MALFUNCTIONS CAUSE CASCADING FAILURES THROUGHOUT REST OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND MAKE CERTAIN VEHICLE SYSTEMS AND SAFETY FUNCTIONS INOPERABLE. I CONTACTED GM CUSTOMER CARE AND BASICALLY THEY SAID THERE IS NO ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE BECAUSE IT IS "NOT A KNOWN CONCERN" ON THIS VEHICLE. MODULE LOCATION IS BEHIND REAR WHEELS IN BUMPER COVER AREA, AND ARE OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS AND POORLY SEALED. WATER/SALT WATER SEEMINGLY EASILY PENETRATES THESE MODULES AND CAUSES THEM TO FAIL. BECAUSE THEY ARE DIRECTLY TIED INTO THE REST OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, WHEN THEY DO FAIL IT CAUSES CASCADING FAILURES THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE SYSTEM SEEMINGLY AT RANDOM. (SOME OF THE SYSTEMS ARE CRITICAL TO VEHICLE SAFETY AND OPERATION.
I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THEY SAID IT WAS DUE TO A OIL CAP. I CALLED AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. SINCE THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON AND OFF AND NOW THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS ON AND THE ENGINE REVS VERY HIGH.
AT FIRST, I STARTED THE CAR ONE DAY AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP AND AS I TRIED TO PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN D THE "D" LIGHT STARTED FLASHING (NOT STEADY AS NORMAL) AND THERE WAS SOME NOISE FROM THE TRANSMISSION. I PUT IT BACK TO "P" AND TURNED THE CAR OFF AND STARTED IT AGAIN. THEN IT ACTED NORMALLY. LATER ON, IT HAPPENED SUDDENLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING (THE TRANSMISSION SNAPPED AND THE "D" LIGHT STARTED FLASHING). I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS, AND THEY FOUND THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) WAS DEFECTIVE. I SEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THERE WERE MANY RECALLS ON THE TCM FOR 2012 & 2013 CHEVY CRUZE, BUT MINE WAS NOT IDENTIFIED IN THOSE RECALLS AS PER THE DEALER. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT GM WILL INVESTIGATE THE CASE AND FEED ME BACK, BUT I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT THEY DO NOT DO INVESTIGATIONS UNLESS IT COMES FROM THE NHTSA.
3/22 -- ON MY WAY TO WORK (A BRIEF 5-MILE DRIVE), THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT CAME ON AND A WARNING ABOUT THE STABILITRAK SYSTEM APPEARED ON MY DASHBOARD DISPLAY SCREEN. THE ENGINE POWER WAS AUTOMATICALLY REDUCED, AND MY CAR WOULD NOT GO BEYOND 25-30 MILES PER HOUR. FORTUNATELY, I HAD EXITED THE HIGHWAY AND HAD JUST TURNED LEFT ONTO A SURFACE STREET. AT THE TIME, IT WAS RAINING, BUT NOT HEAVILY. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAD STARTED MY CAR THAT DAY, SO THE ENGINE WAS FRESH. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO WORK; HOWEVER, WHEN I LEFT WORK A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER, THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT AND STABILITRAK WARNING WERE STILL DISPLAYED. I DROVE STRAIGHT HOME. 3/23 -- WHEN I STARTED MY CAR, THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT AND STABILITRAK WARNING WERE STILL DISPLAYED. I RAN A COUPLE OF ERRANDS AROUND TOWN, AND NOTHING CHANGED. I DECIDED TO 'REST' MY CAR FOR A DAY OR TWO WHILE I RESEARCHED THE SITUATION AND FIGURED OUT A PLAN. 3/25 -- WHEN I STARTED MY CAR, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON, BUT THE STABILITRAK WARNING WAS GONE (I.E., MY DASHBOARD DISPLAY APPEARED AS IT NORMALLY WOULD, EXCEPT FOR THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT). AFTER I HAD DRIVEN MY CAR TO MAKE A COUPLE OF STOPS AROUND TOWN, THE STABILITRAK LIGHT CAME BACK ON. 3/26 -- THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS DISPLAYED AT ALL WHEN I STARTED MY CAR; I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR AROUND TOWN DURING THE MORNING WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS COMING BACK ON. 3/27 -- WHEN I DROVE TO WORK, THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT AND STABILITRAK WARNING WERE NOT ON WHEN I STARTED MY CAR; HOWEVER, THEY DID CAME BACK ON JUST AS I ARRIVED AT WORK (ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER I HAD STARTED MY CAR). FOR SAFETY REASONS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE DISPLAYED OR NOT, I HAVE TAKEN CARE TO DRIVE ONLY WHEN I ABSOLUTELY NEED TO, ONLY ON SURFACE STREETS, AND WITH MY SPEED AT OR BELOW 25 MPH. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT SUSTAINABLE LONG-TERM.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN MY COMMUNITY THE CAR SHUT ITSELF OFF AND TURNED BACK ON. THIS LOCKED MY STEERING WHEEL ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.
I HAVE HAD A COOLANT LEAK AND HAVE HAD IT REPAIRED 5 TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED. REPAIRED AT SUBURBAN CHEVROLET IN EDEN PRARIE. NOW IT HAS TO HAPPEN AGAIN SO IT IS GOING BACK AND I HAVE HAD IT TOWED AND STILL OWE 800 OR SO CRAZY
THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE RESERVOIR THAT HOLDS THE COOLANT THAT MAKES IT UNABLE TO BREATH. THE COOLANT IS BUBBLING INSIDE THE RESERVOIR BECAUSE IT ISN'T ABLE TO RELEASE THE PRESSURE WHICH IN TURN IS MAKING THE CARS OVERHEAT. THE MANUFACTURE JUST SEES THIS NORMAL BUT THERE ARE MANY VIDEOS ON THE INTERNET OFF PEOPLE GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING.
WOW THIS IS THE BAD CAR EVER I HAVE A LOT FIRST AIR FLOW SENSOR BAD PVC VALVE 2 TIMES NEW
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE POWER STEERING AND SERVICE STABILITRAC WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
I HAVE TWO COMPLAINTS ON MY VEHICLE, 1.SEVERAL TIMES THE VEHICLE WENT INTO A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER MODE WHERE IT WAS IN AN IDLE POSITION WITH NO ABILITY TO ACCELERATE, THE DISPLAY SHOWED LOSS OF ENGINE POWER, NO STABILTRACK AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WOULD TRANSITION TO A LOSS OF POWER MODE ON THE MAIN ROAD, I HAD TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF, WAIT ABOUT 60 SECONDS AND RESTART, MY POWER WAS RESTORED, THIS HAPPENED ON 3 OCCASIONS. 2. THE SECOND COMPLAINT IS REGARDING THE LOW COOLANT LEVEL, I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED DEALER AND THEY PUT THE COOLANT SYSTEM UNDER PRESSURE AND DETECTED NO LEAK, THEY ADDED COOLANT SINCE IT WAS VERY LOW AND ASKED ME TO LEAVE THE CAR WITH THEM FOR A DAY OR TWO AND SUGGESTED IT MAY BE THE RADIATOR. I REFUSED AND ASKED THEM TO ADD A DYE TO THE SYSTEM THAT WOULD INDICATE THE LEAK PATH AND I WOULD RETURN THE NEXT DAY, THEY REFUSED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 35 AND 75 MPH, THE "ENGINE REDUCE POWER" MESSAGE DISPLAYED AS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS BEING DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT CALLED ON-STAR WHO PROVIDED FAILURE CODE P-2135 (THROTTLE BODY SENSOR). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY SENSOR NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHILE DRIVING RADIO CUTS IN AND OUT FOR 5-10 SECONDS, THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN GOES BLANK, THE SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT FLASHES, OTHER WARNING LIGHTS FLASH, AND YOU HAVE TO RAISE THE DRIVER'S WINDOW DOWN AND BACK UP FOR THE INFORMATION SCREEN TO SHOW YOUR SPEED AND MILEAGE WHEN STARTING THE CAR. APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND ITS ASHAMED THAT GM HAS NOT RECALLED THIS VEHICLE TO FIX THESE ISSUES. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL SOON BEFORE SOMETHING AWFUL HAPPENS TO INNOCENT PEOPLE. BOUGHT THE CAR USED FROM A CAR DEALERSHIP AT A GOOD DEAL, GUESS I KNOW WHY NOW.
MY FIRST OIL CHANGE AFTER BUYING MY CAR THERE WAS A PROBLEM TAKING THE OIL PLUG OUT. I TOOK IT TO LAKE CHEVROLET IN DEVILS LAKE ND THEY PUT IN A NEW PLUG. NOW WHEN I HAD A OIL CHANGE THEY DETECTED A HAIRLINE CRACK I HAVE A APPOINTMENT TODAY TO FIX THIS.

PELLEGRINO CHEVROLET IN WESTVILLE, NEW JERSEY WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NO LONGER UNDER RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
"TAKATA RECALL" WE WERE GOING TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY MORNING , IT WAS A RAINING DAY , I WAS DRIVING AT 35-38 MPH IN A ZONE 40 MPH . I WAS APPROACHING TO A CURVE WHEN I INTENDED TO BRAKE, THE CAR SLIPPED TO THE LEFT ALL THE WAY , IT DONT BRAKED, IT DONT TURN ON THE SENSOR TO STABILIZE THE CAR AND THE MOST IMPORTANT , ANY OF THE AIR BAGS IN THE LEFT SIDE , IT DONT CAME OUT . THIS IS THE POLICE ACCIDENT REPORT CASE # HC170007937.

AT RANDOM CAR WILL IDLE UP AND DOWN AND RPMS WILL JUMP. THIS HAPPENS WHEN JUST CRANKED AND AFTER DRIVEN AND SITTING STILL IN IDLE. ALSO, AT RANDOM WHEN TRYING TO CRANK THE CAR IT SEEMS TO GET STUCK AND I WILL HAVE TO RETURN THE IGNITION IN ORDER TO GET THE MOTOR TO FULLY TURN OVER.
WHILE DRIVING CAR MESSAGE CENTER SAYS ENGINE OVERHEATED, PLEASE IDLE ENGINE. AFTER EXAMINING VEHICLE, FIND THERE WAS NO COOLANT IN VEHICLE. BEFORE COOLANT GETS TO EMPTY THERE SHOULD BE A LOW COOLANT WARNING TO PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM BEING OVERHEATED. NO LOW COOLANT WARNING. FILLED UP COOLANT
THE CAR WAS PARKED. I STARTED IT AND 2 MINUTES LATER I GOT 3 MESSAGES "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" "SERVICE STABILI TRAK" AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, IT WOULDN'T GO MORE THAN 5MPH. SO THEN I PARKED AGAIN, THANK GOD I DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE PARKING LOT OF THAT BUILDING. SO THEN I TURNED IT OFF AND LET IT REST FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND THEN STARTED IT BACK ON AND THE MESSAGES DISAPPEARED AND IT WAS RUNNING "FINE" THE GAS PEDAL FELT A LITTLE HARD WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. NEXT DAY SAME THING BUT THIS TIME WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGH WAY, I USE I-88 TO GO TO WORK EVERY DAY AND THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS, GOING FROM 65-70 MPH TO 10 MPH AND IF SOMEONE WOULD'VE BEEN BEHIND ME THEY COULD'VE HIT ME. THIS IS VERY SCARY AND SOMETIMES I WORK LATE SHIFTS AND WITH THIS COLD WEATHER HAVING TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF FOR IT TO "RUN" AGAIN IS HORRIBLE. I WAS FREEZING TO DEATH. I HAVE READ HUNDREDS OF COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND SAME CODES, AND I THINK GM SHOULD HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS, BECAUSE IT'S A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM AND THEY SHOULD FIX IT. TODAY I AM TAKING IT TO A CHEVY DEALER AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS TO HAVE ENOUGH PROOF OF THIS ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE A LEAK WAS FOUND AT THE WATER PUMP. THE PUMP WAS REPLACED AGAIN. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND A P0411 CODE WAS FOUND. THIS TIME, THE AIR CHECK VALVE WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER WAS INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT CHECKED THE COOLANT AND FOUND NO COOLANT IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN AT THE DEALER FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,592.
WHILE ACCELERATING ON CITY STREETS, THE TRANSMISSION WENT INTO THE FOURTH GEAR AND HESITATED TO GO ANY FASTER. I THEN STOPPED ACCELERATING BUT THEN THE TRANSMISSION SLAMMED INTO THE THIRD GEAR AND REVVED HIGH UNTIL I PUSHED ON THE BRAKES AND THE TRANSMISSION SLAMMED BACK INTO THE FOURTH GEAR. THIS ISN'T THE FIRST OCCURRENCE. I HAVEN'T TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICING.
JUST BOUGHT THE VEHICLE AND WAS DRIVING AND KEPT HEARING A CLUNKING NOISE IN THE FRONT END AND NOTICED THE FROM ROTORS WAS INDICATING REPLACEMENT SO TOOK BACKTO DEALER AND THEY ALSO FOUND THAT THE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ON DRIVERS SIDE WAS SNAPPED IN HALF CAUSING OUTER TIE ROD NEEDING REPLACEMENT AND COULD OF CAUSED A CRASH AS YOU WOULD LOSE CONTROL OF VEHICLE ONCE OUTER TIR ROD DISCONNECTED.
MY TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH. THE CAR GAVE ME 2 WARNINGS, ONE FOR THE TRACTION CONTROL NEEDING SERVICED AND ONE FOR THE TRANSMISSION NEEDING SERVICED. I DROVE THE CAR TO MY DEALER EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM TO THE DEALER AND STATED THAT I DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING TO MAKE IT TO THEM. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER LET THE CAR SIT FOR A FEW HOURS AND THEN CHECKED FOR CODES AND MYSTERIOUSLY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM ALWAYS STARTS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS GOING UP HILL, THE TRANSMISSION LIGHTS STARTS BLINKING, THE CAR STARTS SPUTTERING AND I LOSE SPEED VERY UNSAFE IN TRAFFIC! WHEN SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL MASHED TO THE FLOOR THE CAR LUNGES FORWARD. I HAVE SEARCHED ONLINE FOR SIMILAR PROBLEMS AND HAVE FOUND THAT MANY CRUZE OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND GM REFUSES TO HELP THERE DOES SEEM TO BE AN ASSOCIATED RECALL BUT IT DOESN'T STATE THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM IN THE DISCRIPTION. THE SERVICE CENTERS CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOT SHOWING ANY CODES WHEN THEY CHECK AND I'M ALWAYS SENT HOME.

WE HAVE CONTACTED GM ABOUT GETTING A LETTER OF CONFORMITY WHICH THEY DID SUPPLY US WITH. HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT CONFORM TO FMVSS STANDARDS. THE LETTER DOES NOT INCLUDE WHICH STANDARDS ARE NOT MET AND GM DOES NOT HAVE RECORD OF WHAT DOESN'T COMPLY. ROUGHLY 6 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE, I STARTED HAVING INCIDENTS WHERE THE RADIO WOULD CUT OUT FOR 2-3 SECONDS AND THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN WOULD GO BLANK. AT THE SAME TIME, THE "SERVICE STABILITRAK" MESSAGE MOMENTARILY APPEARS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THERE ISN'T A TREND TO WHEN THIS HAPPENS. SOMETIMES IT WON'T HAPPEN FOR A WEEK, OTHER TIMES IT WILL HAPPEN MULTIPLE TIMES IN A SINGLE DRIVE. LAST WEEK, THIS HAPPENED AND I ALSO LOST POWER STEERING AND COULD NOT STEER FOR WHAT FELT LIKE A COUPLE SECONDS. BASED ON THE CHEVROLET CRUZE CUSTOMER FORUM, THIS IS A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM AND OTHER'S HAVE ALSO LOST POWER STEERING PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT. THERE IS NOT A RECALL FOR MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE OR A PERMANENT CORRECTIVE ACTION THAT I'VE FOUND. IT HAS BECOME A SAFETY CONCERN AND GM SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND RECALL THE AFFECTED VEHICLES BEFORE POWER STEERING IS LOST AT HIGHER SPEEDS.

OWNER DRIVES THE VEHICLE FOR 10 MILES OR GREATER AND AFTER PARKING FOR SEVERAL MINUTES THE VEHICLE HAS A BURNING SMELL INSIDE. IT REMAINS FOR DAYS AT A TIME EVEN IF THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN.
