I NOTICED MY CAR WAS "SPUTTERING". AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH NO ATTEMPTS ALL IT DID WAS GET WORSE. IT FELT LIKE MY CAR WAS SUFFOCATING. IT GOT TO THE POINT WHERE IT WAS CHUGGING THE WHOLE WAY HOME FROM MY EMPLOYMENT. OPENED THE HOOD WHILE IT WAS RUNNING AND IT APPEARED A SPARK PLUG WAS ARCHING. AFTER REMOVING THE COIL PACK TO GET TO THE SPARK PLUGS ONE OF THE BOOTS COMPLETELY FELL APART WHILE TRYING TO REMOVE IT. IT WAS THEN THE COILS WERE LOOKED AT, 3 OUT OF 4 WERE CORROSION AND SO WE'RE THERE CASINGS. THE WHOLE SECTION NOW NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON A CAR WITH LESS THAN 80,000 MILES.
THERE HAVE BEEN TWO TIMES WHEN I HAVE BEEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT AND THE ENGINE DIED. NOTHING SHOWED ON DASH. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED AND IT STARTED BACK UP. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THAT THERE WEREN'T ANY CODES SHOWING AND IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN TO BRING THE CAR BACK. HAPPENED AGAIN LAST NIGHT, SAME SITUATION. NOTHING SHOWING ON DASH. ALSO SOMETIMES SEEMS TO HESITATE WHEN ACCELERATING.
LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED THE WINDOW REGULATOR CENTER PIECE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BROKE WHEN USING THE POWER WINDOW CONTROL TO ROLL THE WINDOW BACK UP. THIS VEHICLE HAS NO CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS PART TO FAIL BESIDES IT BEING A FAULTY PART. THE WINDOW IS STUCK IN THE DOWN POSITION AND THE PART HAS TO BE ORDERED FROM OUT OF STATE. THE REPAIR COST IS IN EXCESS OF $300 WHICH I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT A DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW AT THE TIME OF FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. UPON ACCELERATION, THE VEHICLE HESITATED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON WITH MY CAR SINCE THE LIGHTS CAME ON THE FIST TIME. THE DEALERSHIP ACTS AS IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. I HAVE WASTED SO MUCH GAS AND I TRANSPORT CHILDREN WITH AUTISM AT TIMES IN VA DC AND MD. I HAVE CONSISTENTLY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE STICKING THROTTLE OR ENGINE MISFIRE. PLEASE I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CLIENTS AND MY FAMILY.
THE TURBO STARTED GIVING PROBLEMS AT UNDER 40,000 MILES LIGHT CAME ON ON THE HIGHWAY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, A SECOND VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE AND CAUSED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED NECK, BACK, AND HEAD INJURIES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
THE CAR HAS SOME KIND OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND I TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND GET PROBLEMS FIXED, AND WITHIN A MONTH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN, AND THERE ARE NEW PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR. WHEN THOSE PROBLEMS GET FIXED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN WITHIN A MONTH. THIS IS A CYCLE THAT KEEPS GOING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AT DIFFERENT TIMES, USUALLY WHILE DRIVING. I BELIEVE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS CAUSING CASCADING FAILURES IN DIFFERENT SYSTEMS.
ABOUT A YEAR AFTER BUYING MY 2013 CHEVY CRUZE THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW FELL DOWN AND OUT OF THE TRACK. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPAIRED IT UNDER WARRANNTY. NOW MY CRUZE IS 3 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS OLD WITH 21,000 MILES ON IT AND THE PASSENGER WINDOW HAS DONE THE SAME THING. MY WARRANTY RAN OUT 2 MONTHS AGO EVEN THOUGHT THERE ARE ONLY 21,000 MILES ON IT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. BOTH TIMES THIS HAPPENED WE WERE GETTING IN THE VEHICLE AND CLOSED THE DOOR, ROLLED DOWN THE WINDOW AND THE WINDOW FELL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR AND WONT GO UP.
STABILITRAK CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON CAR OVERHEATED AND THE CAR SLOWED DOWN AND TURNED OFF WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY IN COULDN'T RESTART THE CAR HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE FOR REPAIRS WHICH WE ARE NOT GOING TO PAY FOR MANUFACTURING DEFECTS I HAVE A 2013 CHEVY CRUISE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH AND ACCELERATING, THE TACHOMETER SHOWED THAT THE RPM WAS RED-LINED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,719.
AIR CONDITIONING IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. IT BLOWS WELL BUT WILL NOT COOL. I CAN FEEL SOME COOLNESS OUT OF PASSENGER SIDE BUT DRIVER SIDE IS HOT AIR. IF YOU TURN THE FAN KNOB TO LOW THEN BOTH SIDES WILL COOL BUT IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO COOL ANYTHING. HAVE HAD IT CHECKED AND THERE IS PLENTY OF COOLANT. IT STARTED JULY OF 2016 SO I DROVE IT VERY LITTLE IT IS MUCH WORSE THIS SUMMER JULY OF 2017. ITS THE SAME RESULT DRIVING OR STATIONARY. IN THE EARLY MORNING IF IT'S COOL OUTSIDE IT DOES GET COOLER BUT AS THE DAY GETS WARMER SO DOES THE AIR COMING OUT OF THE AIR CONDITIONING VENTS.
ENGINE OVERHEATING AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING, CAR ENGINE USED TO STOP WHILE DRIVING AND HAVE MULTIPLE REPAIRS TO FIX VEHICLE AFTER MY MOM PASSED. I HAVE SPENT OVER $5,000 IN REPAIRS EASILY FOR THIS VEHICLE AND SAME ISSUE AND NOT EVEN CHEVY DEALERSHIP ABLE TO FIX
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STABILITY CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED, THE RADIO SHORTED, AND VARIOUS WARNING INDICATORS FLASHED. THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED EACH TIME THE FAILURES OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS GOING OFF FOR NO REASON. KEY STUCK IN IGNITION AND CAR WILL NOT START. JUST LIKE MOST OTHER COMPLAINTS WITH THIS CAR MOSTLY ELECTRICAL. I JUST GOT THIS CAR FOR MY 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. VERY SCARY THAT THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND THE DEALERS DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON VERY DISAPPOINTING. AND THIS HAS HAPPENED SITTING STILL AND IN MOTION LIKE THE CAR HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN.
BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPRESS RESULTING IN DIFFICULTY BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP. SEEMS TO OCCUR AT LOW SPEEDS. THERE HAVE BEEN 4-5 OCCURRENCES IN THE LAST 3-4 MONTHS. BRINGING VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR EVALUATION. CAR HAS 45000 MILES.
LATELY I'VE BEEN NOTICING THE TOUCH SCREEN RADIO TO FLICKER AND COMPLETELY LOSE POWER. I FIGURE IT WAS JUST A GLITCH WITH THE ALL THE TECHNOLOGY THAT THIS CAR HAS. WELL, THE SERVICE ANTITHEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM CONTINUES TO COME ON, BUT GOES AWAY. CAR IS FINE. LAST SATURDAY MY CAR WOULDN'T START UNTIL THE 3RD TRY. THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF, ABSOLUTELY NO POWER, KEY WOULDN'T COME OUT OF THE IGNITION. AFTER 15 MINUTES IT STARTED, THE RADIO FLICKER. ON MY WAY TO WORK, THE RADIO KEPT CUTTING OUT THEN AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO TURN, MY STEERING AND BRAKES GAVE OUT, NEARLY CAUSING A HUGE COLLISION! THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON THING WITH THE 2013 CRUZE LT. CHEVY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING! I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR ANYMORE! NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW THE PROBLEM? IT'S LIFE OR DEATH HERE, I TRAVEL A LOT FOR WORK AND GET ON BUSY HIGHWAYS. HOW MANY INJURIES OR DEATHS DO YOU NEED TO CORRECT THIS MAJOR PROBLEM?
MY 2013 CHEVY CRUZE ALMOST GOT ME IN A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT. IT STARTED WHEN DRIVING ABOUT 20 MPH (TRANSMISSION IS IN D) THE CAR STARTED TO LOOSE POWER FELT LIKE ITS STALLING, RPM DROPPED THEN SUDDENLY STARTED GOING INTO REVERSE WHILE THE TRANSMISSION IS STILL ON D I ALMOST HIT THE CAR BEHIND ME. I STEPPED ON MY BREAKS AND I PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK BUT THE CAR SURGED FORWARD IN WHICH I ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I'VE TAKEN THIS CAR SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR TRANSMISSION SHIFTING PROBLEMS BUT I FELT THAT IT WAS NOT COMPLETELY FIXED. THE DEALER ALWAYS TELLS ME THAT THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. BUT NOW THAT I'VE ALMOST HIT 2 CARS YESTERDAY WITHOUT ANY REASON, I FEEL THAT THE CAR IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND MY WIFE EVEN TOLD ME THAT SHE WILL NEVER DRIVE THIS CAR AGAIN. IT'S JUST SAD TO BE HAVING THIS MANY PROBLEMS ON A CAR WITH LESS THAN 50K MILESYESTERDAY MY 2013 CHEVY CRUZE ALMOST GOT ME IN A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT. CAR'S ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING UNEXPECTEDLY DUE TO BLOWN FUEL PUMP FUSE WHILE TRAVELING AT 30 M.P.H IN CLEAR WEATHER, DURING THE DAY, ON PAVED DOWNTOWN ORLANDO STREET. WHEN ENGINE DIED, LOST POWER STEERING AND POWER BREAKS, VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT. DEALER DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AS A COIL PACK PROBLEM AND REPLACED THE COIL PACK AT A COST OF $534.00. I AM NOT SURE HOW THE COIL PACK THAT HOLDS THE SPARK PLUGS WOULD CAUSE THE FUEL PUMP FUSE TO BLOW.
THIS CHEV CRUZ RAMMED MY HONDA 2010 CIVIC AT 40+MPH IN THE RIGHT REAR QUARTER PANEL. THE CIVIC WAS TURNING LEFT INTO THE INTERSECTION AND WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH. THE CIVIC DEPLOYED 4 AIRBAGS AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS WHILE THE CRUZ DID NOT DEPLOY AN AIRBAG AND HAD SLIGHT DAMAGE TO THE FRONT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS AND HAVE INCLUDED PICTURES AND WOULD LIKE YOUR INVESTIGATION AND OPINION IF THE 2013 CRUZ'S AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE.
VEHICLE ACCIDENT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE - AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY IN ACCIDENT. DRIVER HIT HEAD ON STEERING WHEEL. (ALL AIRBAGS DEPLOYED ON OTHER VEHICLE (AUDI S4.)) TOLD BY INSURANCE ADJUSTOR HE TYPICALLY DOES NOT SEE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT ON CHEVY CRUIZE AS THE SENSORS ARE HIGH ON THE INTERNAL FRAME.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE (2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE) IN 2016 AND IT HAD MILEAGE OF 3,500 MILES. LESS THAN A MONTH OF OWNERSHIP AN ALERT SHOWED AND SOUNDED IN THE DASH LIGHTS THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS OPEN WHEN IT WASN'T AND THIS WAS WHILE IN A PARK POSITION AND WHILE IN MOTION ON ANY ROAD. THE ALERT WAS ALMOST CONSTANT SO I BROUGHT IT TO A REPAIR SHOP WHICH REPLACED THE LATCH IN THE DOOR 3 SEPARATE TIMES AND THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURRED. EVENTUALLY I ASKED TO JUST HAVE THE LATCH DISCONNECTED IN THE DOOR BECAUSE NO ONE COULD FIX IT AND STOP THE ALERT AND SOUNDS FROM GOING OFF. SO NOW I HAVE A $300 LATCH DISCONNECTED INSIDE THE DOOR BECAUSE THAT WOULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM PLUS I HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK AND UNLOCK THAT DOOR IF I NEED TO USE IT WHEN ALL OF THE OTHER 3 DOORS CAN BE ELECTRONICALLY LOCKED/UNLOCKED WITH THE FOB OR THE LOCK/UNLOCK BUTTON IN THE CAR. NOW A NEW PROBLEM THAT IS CURRENTLY GOING ON IS THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT IN THE BACK WINDSHIELD IS VERY DIM WHILE IN A PARK POSITION OR WHILE IN MOTION DRIVING ON ANY ROAD. IT STILL WORKS BUT IS NOT AS BRIGHT AS IT USED TO BE. IT'S A LIGHT BAR THAT SITS IN THE BACK WINDOW ACTING AS A 3RD BRAKE LIGHT AND IT DOES NOT CONTAIN LIGHT BULBS. ALSO, I'VE HAD A COUPLE OF OTHER ALERTS SHOW UP IN THE DASH FOR A DAY OR MORE WHILE IN A PARK POSITION OR IN MOTION DRIVING ON ANY ROAD AND THEN THEY GO AWAY AFTER A FEW DAYS. I SUSPECT THIS VEHICLE HAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH,THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN AND DID NOT ACCELERATE. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO BACK OUT OF THE GARAGE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE OCCASIONALLY. AN UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000.
I WAS TURNING WHEN THE INFORMATION CENTER WENT BLANK AND THE SERVICE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON. IT BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER THE CAR. I PULLED OVER, TURNED THE CAR OFF, LOOKED UNSET THE HOOD. WHEN I RESTARTED IT WAS FINE. SPORADICALLY OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS THE INFO CENTER WOULD BLIP OUT AND THE SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT WOULD COME ON. THE DEALER COULD NEVER REPLICATE THE ISSUE. IT NEVER INVOLVED THE STEERING UNTIL NOW.
THE CARS RADIO SCREEN WILL GO OUT AND THE STABILI CHECK COMES ON IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND SOMETIMES WITH THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON IT HAS HAPPENS ON ALL ROADS HIGHWAYS AND CITY ROADS IN MOTION AND WHEN STOPPED HAVE HAD AN INCIDENT WHEN THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN ON NOTHING WOULD WORK NOT EVEN THE LOCKS FROM INSIDE THE CAR HAVE HAD A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THIS CAR OTHER THAN JUST THIS AND I HAVE NOT EVEN HAD IT A YEAR
WHILE DRIVING, THE RADIO SCREEN SHUTS OFF AND ON, SERVICE STABILITRAK WARNING COMES ON FOR 2 SECONDS THEN GOES AWAY. WHILE PARKED, THE TRUNK OPENED AUTOMATICALLY TWICE. DEALERSHIP RESET THE ELECTRICAL AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURRING. BASED ON MANY OTHER COMPLAINS AND THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED, THIS VEHICLE IS A LEMON. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

MAIN PROBLEM RADIO POWER AND DASH POWER CUT IN AND OUT AND OR FLUCTUATE WHILE DRIVING AND OR APPLYING BRAKES. THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WILL, MOST OF THE TIME, CUT IN AND OUT ALSO WHILE TURNING TURNING KEY OFF AND ON AGAIN WHILE STATIONARY MAY FOR A SHORT TIME FIX THIS PROBLEM HOWEVER IT IS NOT A PERM ANY SOULUTION ONLY TEMPORARY AND MY ALSO RESULT IN A TOTAL NO POWER/ NO START CONDITION FOR THE VEHICAL POSSIBLE CAUSE IS LEAK IN THE CAR OR SHIELD IS NOT PROPERLY PROTECTION ELECTRONICS/WIRING ON THE VEHICAL
2013 CEVY CRUZE RECEIVING "SERVICE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM" MESSAGE WHEN TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP WAS INFORMED THAT DUE TO FAULTY MODULE DESIGN WATER GETS INTO MODULE ANS SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM WILL NO LONGER WORKED DUE TO THE FACT CAR WAS JUST OUT OF WARRANTY WAS QUOTED $700+ TO FIX.
STEERING LOCKED UP WHILE DRIVING DOWN ROAD. CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 35MPH. STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP ON ME AND I COULD NOT TURN AT A CURVE CAUSING ME TO SLAM ON BRAKES AND SLID OFF OF A DIRT ROAD INTO A DITCH AND TREE LINED AREA. DO HAVE POLICE REPORT AS WELL.
INTERMITTENTLY THE ANTI-THEFT LIGHT GOES ON, WITHOUT WARNING AT AN HIGH SPEEDS OR WHEN PARKED AND SHUTS DOWN ALL SYSTEMS, IMMOBILIZING THE CAR. THIS INCLUDES THE RADIO, STEERING, MOTOR. TWO DAYS AGO I WAS DRIVING AND THIS HAPPENED, THE CAR SHUT DOWN, I COULDN'T STEER OR DRIVE THE CAR, A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR, THE ANT-THEFT SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN THE CAR. THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW WHEN THIS WILL HAPPEN. WHEN TAKEN TO AUTO DEALER, THE CAR WORKS FINE. THE CAR HAS 66,000 MILES. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 6 TIMES, BUT THE LAST ONE WAS THE WORST, TRAVELLING AT HIGH SPEED AND LOSING CONTROL OF THE CAR. WHAT HAPPENED IS SIMILAR TO WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH IN COBALTS WHERE THE CAR JUST STOPPED, THAT IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT HAPPENED WITH ME.

IN A CONVERSATION WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT STEVE RAYMAN OF SMYRNA, GA HE SAID THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE CAUSED THE PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAUGES, AND THE STEERING WHEEL JERKING TO THE LEFT. I CHOSE TO CONTACT GENERAL MOTORS BECAUSE I JUST COULD NOT BELIEVE A NEGATIVE CABLE COULD CAUSE SUCH PROBLEMS. AS MENTIONED EARLIER, GM PERSONNEL TOLD ME THAT THREE REMEDIES MADE UP SPECIAL COVERAGE 14311' 1, NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE NEEDS REPLACEMENT. 2. VOLTAGE REGULATOR NEEDS ADJUSTMENT 3. A SCREW NEEDS TO BE TIGHTENED. IN A SECOND CONVERSATION WITH STEVE RAYMAN PERSONNEL AND GM, BOTH SAID IT WAS THE CABLE AND NOT THE VOLTAGE REGULATORS. THE CAR HAD BEEN IN MY GARAGE FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS WITH A DEAD BATTERY. THIS MORNING I JUMP-STARTED THE VEHICLE; SO, WE CAN ASSUME THE ALTERNATOR WAS WORKING PROPERLY BECAUSE THE CAR CONTINUES TO RUN AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES. I DROVE TO THE STORE IN ORDER TO PURCHASE AND REPLACE THE BATTERY I NOTICED THE BATTERY VOLTAGE WAS READING 15.1 VOLTS. AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY, I WAS RETURNING HOME AND NOTICED THE BATTERY VOLTAGE FLUCTUATED FROM 14.7 WHILE IDLING TO 14.8 WHILE DRIVING. MY QUESTION TO YOU THE ALTERNATOR APPEARS TO WORKING CORRECTLY BY PROVIDING ELECTRICAL POWER TO OPERATE THE CAR WHILE USING A DEAD BATTERY. IF THERE WERE A POWER FLUCTUATION, WOULD IT BE REASONABLE TO ASSUME THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR COULD BE THE PROBLEM. COULD ERRATIC VOLTAGE CAUSE THE INSTRUMENTS TO GO HAYWIRE AND COULD LEAD TO THE CAR'S ENGINE TURNING OFF? COULD SUCH AN OCCURRENCE CAUSE A CATASTROPHE ACCIDENT AND RISK THE LIVE OF ALL VEHICLE OCCUPANTS?
THE COMPUTER SYSTEM GOES ON AND OFF AT RANDOM, WHICH CAUSES MALFUNCTIONS IN OTHER AREAS, PARTICULARLY THE POWER STEERING AND SECURITY SYSTEM. MY POWER STEERING HAS GONE OUT MULTIPLES TIMES, CAUSING NEAR ACCIDENTS. THE SECURITY SYSTEM ALSO LOCKED UP DUE TO THE COMPUTER, AND IT TOOK 15 MINUTES TO GET IT STARTED IN THE ARIZONA HEAT. THE POWER STEERING ISSUE IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BLOWER MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
ENGINE OVERHEATED. TECH FOUND COOLING FAN NOT COMING ON. TECH FOUND COOLING FAN CONNECTOR MELTED. TECH USED POWER PROBE TO SEND 12 VOLTS TO COOLING FAN MOTOR. BLEW THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IN THE PROBE. MOTOR FAULTY. TECH SUGGEST NEW COOLING FAN MOTOR & PIGTAIL ASSEMBLY TO REPAIR. THE ABOVE DESCRIPTION IS WORD FOR WORD FROM THE REPAIR INVOICE. THE REPAIR SHOP ALSO TOLD US THIS WAS A PRETTY SERIOUS DEFECT AND COULD HAVE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE.
WE BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT AND THE BRAKES HAVE SQUEALED SINCE WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FEB 2014. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG, THEY SAY IT'S THE TYPE OF BRAKES AND SOMETIMES THEY DO SQUEAL ESPECIALLY IF HUMID OR WET. NOW YESTERDAY SOMEONE SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES IN FRONT OF ME. LUCKILY I WAS FAR ENOUGH BACK (ABOUT 4 CAR LINKS) THAT I DIDN'T HIT THEM. WHEN I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND NOTHING HAPPENED! I LET UP AND TRIED AGAIN AND GOT SOME BRAKE, BUT STILL NOT LIKE IT SHOULD. I COULD NOT GET THE PROBLEM TO DUPLICATE, WHEN I TRIED, THE BRAKES WORKED FINE. I WAS DRIVING ON DRY PAVEMENT ON A HIGHWAY AT 45 MPH, THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. THE CAR HAS 19870 MILES ON IT. THIS ISSUE COULD HAVE KILLED ME AND LEFT 4 CHILDREN WITH NO MOTHER! I SEE TONS OF ISSUES FOR THIS FROM 2011-2014 CRUZE VEHICLES, WHEN IS CHEVY AND GM GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS INSTEAD OF HIDING UNDER A ROCK AND CALLING US ALL LIARS?! SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
VERY STRONG ODOR OF COOLANT INSIDE THE CAR, BROUGHT IT IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY HAVE REPLACED THE WATER PUMP, HEATER CORE, DID A PRESSURE TEST ON THE COOLANT SYSTEM AND DID A SCAB JOB OF RUNNING A HOSE FROM MY RESERVOIR TANK TO UNDER THE CAR. I'M STILL GETTING COOLANT VAPORS INTO THE CAR. DEX-COOL HAS A SAFETY WARNING ABOUT BREATHING ANTIFREEZE VAPORS. INHALATION: AVOID BREATHING VAPORS OR MISTS. HIGHER TEMPERATURES MAY GENERATE VAPOR LEVELS SUFFICIENT TO CAUSE ADVERSE EFFECTS.

Water pump, cooling system. There’s a recall on this system already but not for my vin. The service bulletin describes 100% off issues im having yes manufacture will not help because my vin isn’t attached to service bulletin. Car over heat constantly, I’ve pretty much replaced the entire cooling system twice now. Airbags also faulty. The entire passenger side of vehicle was hit by fedex truck not long after being rear-ended and an adjuster claiming car 95% totaled,( yet still ended up rebuilding it) no airbags deployed in both situations
I HAD AN ISSUE STARTING THE CAR A WEEK AFTER PURCHASING IT IN FEBRUARY. RANDOM WARNING LIGHTS WOULD TURN ON AND OFF. I READ THROUGH THE OWNERS MANUAL AND IT SAID IT MAY BE A SECURITY ISSUE IF THE KEY ISN'T CLEAN. I CLEANED THE KEY IT SEEMED TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM BUT AFTER A FEW MONTHS IT CAME BACK BRIEFLY AND I'D CLEAN THE KEY AND IT WOULD BE FINE. ON THE MORNING OF JULY 30TH THE CAR GRINDED THE GEARS AND THEN HAD TROUBLE STARTING AS IF THE BATTERY WERE DEAD. THE KEY WAS CLEAN. AFTER A COUPLE TRIES IT STARTED. LATER THAT DAY THE POWER STEERING ALERT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE BOGGED DOWN AND I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE FOR A BRIEF MOMENT. THE LIGHT WENT BACK OFF AND IT WORKED FINE FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. THE NEXT DAY AFTER RUNNING FINE ALL DAY WHILE ON AN EXIT RAMP OF A HIGHWAY MULTIPLE ALERTS BEGAN GOING OFF AND ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND A MOMENT LATER THE CAR STALLED. IT WOULD NOT EVEN CRANK TO RESTART. THE REAR CAUTION LIGHTS WOULD NOT WORK UNLESS THE KEY WAS TURNED. THE RADIO AND DASH WORK AND LIGHT UP BUT THE POWER WINDOWS WOULDN'T OPERATE.
FOR ABOUT 5 MILES THE WARNING FOR POWER STEERING WAS ON I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT THIS AS OTHERS ARE ASKING FOR A RECALL ON THIS AT THE TIME I DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM DRIVING BUT I AM CONCERNED IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN THE TRACTION LIGHT WAS ON AT THE SAME TIME

I HAVE BEEN HAVING AN ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE ON AND OFF. IT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING MORE OFTEN NOW. WHEN I SHIFT MY VEHICLE INTO PARK AND TURN OFF MY CAR USING THE PUSH TO START BUTTON, A MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD SHOWS UP THAT SAYS "SHIFT TO PARK" EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY SHIFTED IT TO PARK. I HAVE TRIED RESTARTING IT AND TRYING TO GET THE MESSAGE TO DISAPPEAR TRYING TO SEE IF THE EMERGENCY BREAK WAS THE ISSUE. I BELIEVE THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE GEAR SHIFTER AND AM AFRAID THAT THIS COULD CREATE A SAFETY CONCERN THE LONGER IT CONTINUES BECAUSE MY DASHBOARD SEEMS TO BE DISPLAYING AN INACCURATE MESSAGE. I TRIED TO SEARCH FOR RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE BUT DID NOT FIND ANY FOR THIS ISSUE; HOWEVER, I FOUND A RECALL ON THE 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE (RECALL# 14048) THAT SEEMS TO BE A SIMILAR ISSUE THAT I AM EXPERIENCING WITH MY VEHICLE WHICH IS THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL BUT JUST A YEAR OLDER. I HAVE ALSO FOUND PLENTY OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE FROM OTHER 2013 CRUZE OWNERS AND BELIEVE THAT THE RECALL SHOULD APPLY TO THE 2013 MODEL AS WELL.
MY VEHICLE LOOSES POWER, ENGINE LEAKS, HAVE A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT PROBLEMS WITH THE KEY IN THE SWITCH....THE VEHICLE STARTED SMOKING AND CAUGHT ON FIRE THAN LOOSES POWER ALL THE TIME. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR BECAUSE I TRAVEL WITH MY FAMILY I HAVE THREE CHILDREN.
ALL THE WHEEL HUBS WENT BAD AT 40K MILES. THEY ALL MADE VERY LOUD VIBRATIONS WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 25-75. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO LAST 300K. NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY.
THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK AFTER STARING CAR. IN REVERSE AFTER YOU TAKE CAR OUT OF GEAR. VERY LIMITED BRAKEING TO STOP THE CAR. THIS HAS BEEN A PREVIOUS RECALL IN BOTH THE 2011, 2012 YEAR MODELS. SEEMS TO BE A ISSUE ON 2013 MODEL YEAR AS WELL. IT HAPPED AS SOON AS THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY RAN OFF. DEALERS WANT TO CHARGE A STEEP PRICE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT AND VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE THAT CHEVROLET NEEDS TO ADDRESS AS WELL IN THE 2013 YEAR MODEL.
I WAS SLOWING DOWN FOR STOP LIGHT AND VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME. THE VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED SUDDENLY, AND I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE WASN'T SLOWING/STOPPING; I THEN PULLED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HANDLE AND MY VEHICLE STOPPED, BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS TOO LATE. I WAS AT LEAST 3-5 CAR LENGTHS AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I ENDED UP CRUSHING IN THE GRILLE IN WHICH PUSHED THE RADIATOR BACK AND THEN IT BROKE THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING AND LOST ANTIFREEZE SOON LATER WHEN DRIVING; ALL THIS BECAUSE OF NO BRAKES, AND STRIKING THE RECEIVER HITCH COVER ON THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. ALL IN ALL $2K IN DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE, AND UNDRIVEABLE. THE MAIN BRAKES DIDN'T REACT UPON PRESSING, THIS IS WAY WEIRD SINCE I'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE SINCE NEW, TO DATE NEVER NOTICED ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY. NOW, THE WEATHER WAS "HOT", IT WAS AROUND 95F AND HUMID, THE PAVEMENT WAS DRY WITHOUT RAIN. OF COURSE THE POLICE OFFICER THAT DID THE REPORT SAID THAT ALOT OF THESE MINOR FENDER BENDERS HAPPEN AT THIS SET OF STOP LIGHTS DAILY/WEEKLY DUE TO THE LIGHTS BEING TOO QUICK, AND DISTRACTED IN A HURRY DRIVERS; AND I WAS JUST A VICTIM OF CIRCUMSTANCE, BUT MY BRAKES FAILED ALSO. I AM A FAN OF THE CHEVROLET CRUZE, BUT "WOW" THIS HAPPENED, AND POSSIBLY THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER RECALL FOR A FAULTY BRAKE/ABS SYSTEM SINCE THE EMERGENCY BRAKES DID WORK (DRUM BRAKES). THE INSURANCE COMPANY DID SAY THAT THE CAR WILL BE RAN THROUGHT THE SHOP TO CHECK THE BRAKE SYSTEM.
