I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD AND VEHICLE SHUT OFF CAUSING LOST OF STEERING,BRAKES ETC...GOT TRUCK PULLED TO SIDE OF THE ROAD TRIED TO RESTART IT TOOK 6 TRIES BEFORE RESTARTING,THEN ON THE SAME DAY STOPPED AT STORE CUT OFF TRUCK RETURNED AND TRUCK WOULD NOT START AGAIN TAKING 6 TRIES IT MADE NO NOISE WHEN TRYING TO START AND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIT UP WITH ALL THE SEVERAL WARNINGS THEN IT WOULD MAKE A CLICKING NOISE AND EVERYTHING FLASHED ON THE CLUSTER..THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR OTHER TIMES AND I AM VERY CONCERNED CAUSE IT HAPPENS WITH NO NOTICE.ON AUG 17 2015 I WENT TO START THE TRUCK AND IT WOULD START AND REPEATED THE SAME THINGS LISTED ABOVE. AFTER ABOUT SIX HRS I WENT TO START IT AGAIN IT STARTED..THIS IS PROBLEM CAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL SHUT DOWN IF II AM DRIVING IN TOWN OR THE HIGHWAY.
HAVING PROBLEMS STARTING SUB. NEW BATTERY, ALL LIGHTS AND RADIO WORKS, KEY SLIDES OUT WHEN CARE IS ON. ENGINE AND FAN COME ON FOR NO REASON.
LATELY DRIVING HAS BEEN A BIT OF A CHALLENGE; TURNING CORNERS TOUGH WHICH LEAD ME TO THINK MAYBE I NEEDED STEERING FLUID OR SOMETHING! SOMETHING WAS EXACTLY IT! WHILE DRIVING HOME FRIDAY NIGHT, 7/24 GOING MY USUAL ROUTE (90W HIGHWAY IN OHIO) I WENT TO TURN FOR THE OFF RAMP AND WHEEL/STEERING LOCKED COMPLETELY, THERE WAS A KNOCK WITH EACH ATTEMPT TO TURN AND IT WOULD LET ME MOVE. LUCKILY I AM NOT ONE TO PANIC AND THERE WERE NO CARS BEHIND OR IN FRONT NEAR ME; THANK GOD! I TIPTOED HER TO THE EDGE AWAY FROM TRAFFIC AND CONTACTED THE NEAREST TOW/GARAGE. THE MECHANIC SAID I WAS LUCKY BECAUSE I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED BECAUSE THE WHOLE STEERING LOCKED COMPLETELY ON A MAJOR HEAVY TRAFFIC HIGHWAY. :-( I REALLY LIKE MY EQUINOX AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS FROM ANY OTHER VEHICLE, BUT I AM NOW SEEING MORE & MORE SITUATIONS INVOLVING THE STEERING!!!!WHAT'S GOING ON? TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT MADE NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED PER AN UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER'S RECALL RELATED TO THE IGNITION SWITCH; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SLEEVE WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
2006 CHEVY EQUINOX: HEAT CENSOR WENT OFF ALL OF A SUDDEN, AFTER GOING LESS THAN A BLOCK FROM MY HOUSE, SAYING THE ENGINE WAS OVERHEATING. WE STOPPED THE CAR AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE WAS SUPER HOT AND SO WAS EVERYTHING INSIDE, INCLUDING THE ROD YOU PROP THE HOOD OPEN WITH. WE LET IT COOL DOWN AND CHECKED THE FLUIDS, WHICH LOOKED FINE. OIL WAS FINE, COOLANT FINE, ETC. WE TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND THE CENSOR WAS OFF. WE DROVE TO THE MECHANIC WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING RUNNING AND IT NEVER GOT OVER HEATED. A FRIEND SAID TO CHECK THE FANS TO SEE IF THEY WERE WORKING. THEY WERE NOT. THEN, WHEN WE GOT IT TO THE MECHANIC THEY DID A CHEMICAL TEST AND FOUND A HEAD GASKET WAS BLOWN AND IT WAS THE QUICKEST CHEMICAL CHANGE THEY HAVE EVER SEEN. THERE WAS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANY WARNING UNTIL THE INCIDENT. THIS IS ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBURG. WE HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR 2.5YEARS BUT WE HAVE HAD THE DRIVER WINDOW MOTOR REPLACED, ALL THE DOOR AND WINDOW SEALS ARE BAD, BOTH HEAD LIGHTS HAVE CONDENSATION( POOR DESIGN, OH AND THE DEALER SAID $1000 TO REPLACE) WHICH KEEPS BLOWING THE DRIVERS HEAD LIGHT, THE IGNITION STICKS, THE VISOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FELL OFF IN THE FIRST MONTH, THE CRANK SEAL WAS REPLACED, THE ERG VALVE WAS REPLACED, AND THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED AFTER THE DEALER SUPOOSEDLY FIXED THE CHIP. WE DID RECIEVE A LETTER FROM THE DEALER OFFERING TO BUY BACK OUR VEHICLE AFTER 4 MONTHS OF OWNING IT. WE THOUGHT THEY JUST WANTED US TO COME BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND GO UPSIDEDOWN ON OUR LOAN, SINCE THEY NEVER GIVE YOU WHAT YOU PAID FOR IT. GUESS WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE OFFER. NOW WE WONDER, "WHAT IS NEXT!" WE OWE OVER 6K STILL AND ARE FORKING OUT OVER 600 IN CAR RENTAL FEES.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE TOP OF THE STEERING COLUMN AND A BURNING ODOR EMITTED INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DIMMER SWITCH MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
HEAT STOPPED WORKING. COOLANT LEVELS ARE FINE, NO EXPLANATION
IGNITION IS STICKING. SOMETIME CANT TURN THE KEY.
CAR ALWAYS DROVE BEAUTIFUL. PURCHASED USED IN JANUARY, DIED IN JUNE. DRIVING UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS AND SUDDENLY RAN HOT. PULLED OVER AND COOLED DOWN. NURSED IT HOME PULLED OVER TWICE IN 15 MILES TO COOL DOWN. DIAGNOSED BY ASE CERTIFIED MECHANIC. DEALER WAS UNAVAILABLE BY CELL. MANY COMPLAINTS ON INTERNET AND YOUTUBE.COM ABOUT THE SAME SITUATION. SUDDEN RISE IN TEMP LIKE A STUCK THERMOSTAT, BUT IT'S A HEAD GASKET....

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 133,785.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE DRASTICALLY REDUCED SPEED TO BELOW 5 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC MORE THAN TWICE AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY, THE SENSOR, AND REPROGRAMMED THE SENSOR, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
IGNITION SWITCH GETS STUCK AND YOU CAN NOT TURN THE CAR ON. SOMETIME YOU CAN NOT GET THE KEY OUT AND SOMETIMES T FEELS LIKE THE PINS IN THE SWITCH ARE NOT DROPPING . THIS ORIGINALLY HAPPENED WHEN WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND NOW HAPPENING AGAIN. *TR
I HAVE OWNED A 2006 CHEVY EQUINOX SINCE 2008. WE RECENTLY NOTICED A SWOOSHING FLUID NOISE COMING FROM THE DASH. WHEN THE CAR IDLES THE TEMP LIGHT GAUGE COMES ON AND THE NEEDLE GOES TO HOT. TOOK IT TO BILL JACOBS CHEVROLET IN JOLIET ILLINOIS TODAY AND THE ADVISED IT HAS A LEAKY HEAD GASKET WITH A MINIMUM COST TO REPAIR OF $1500. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ON THE INTERNET, THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM CONSUMERS WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM DIRECTED TO GM AND THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING. MANY MECHANICS HAVE SAID IT IS A DESIGN FLAW AND GM SHOULD BE DOING A RECALL. *TR
I REPLACED THE EGR VALVE SENSOR AND HOSE STILL GETTING A CODE 1404.I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE MAIN PROBLEM COULD BE UNLESS IT'S THE PCM CAUSING PROBLEMS AND IT HAS BEEN CHANGED AS WELL. *TR

I HAVE NO HEAT, YESTERDAY, I DID . THIS MORNING MY HEAT WILL NOT WORK RECIRCULATION WORKS FAN CONTROLS WORK A/C WORKS, AFTER ALL OF MY HOURS OF RESEARCH, I KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, ALONG WITH THOUSANDS OF OTHER EQUINOX OWNERS . ITS THE VENT DOOR AND ACTUATOR, I NARROWED ALL DOWN AT FIRST COOLANT THERMOSTAT ETC. I FOUND MY RESULT FOR A CHEAP PIECE OF PLASTIC ON THE VENT DOOR THAT BREAKS SO OFTEN SURE ITS A 70$ PART BUT AS A SINGLE FATHER , I CANNOT AFFORD A 1500.00$ SHOP FEE FOR THAT, THIS IS SOMETHING CHEVY KNOWS IS WRONG , AND CAN BE A VERY LIABLE HAZARD TO ACCIDENTS ! I LIVE IN NORTH DAKOTA WHERE IT GETS PRETTY DARN COLD , YOU LOSE YOUR HEAT ON A WAY TO A KIDS HOCKEY GAME 100 MILES AWAY ON A FRIDAY NIGHT WHEN SNOWING AND 30 BELOW ZERO YES COULD CAUSE FATALITIES !! I WAS DRIVING 55 MPH DOWN A ROAD, AND MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY FINE, THEN MY CAR SLOWED TO 40MPH, THEN COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AND I AM CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE.

I FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS A DANGER, WHEN I BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE JUST GAVE ME A PROBLEM, WHEN I GO RUNNING THE CAR IT GOES AWAY AND I FEEL SCARED, THE LIGHTS NEVER TURN OFF AND I FIXED EVERYTHING, ALWAYS HAS NOISE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING IN THE STREET. ME REGRET HAVING BOUGHT IT.

THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE MOTOR BLOWER, RESISTOR, BLOWER AND PIT TAIL; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,480.
I PURCHASED MY 2006 CHEVY EQUINOX NEW. AT 53K MILES MY IGNITION SWITCH FAILED. I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE MY KEY FROM MY RUNNING CAR. THERE WAS NO RECALL AND I HAD TO PAY THE DEALER LAST YEAR IN 2015. NOW IT IS HARD TO START AND AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR I HAVE TO OPEN ANOTHER DOOR BESIDES THE DRIVER DOOR TO DISABLE POWER TO THE DASH INSTRUMENTS, INTERIOR LIGHTING AND RADIO.
ABS ACTIVATION AT LOW SPEEDS ON DRY PAVEMENT. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND CHANGES THE VEHICLE BREAKING DISTANCE. IT IS ALSO UNKNOWN HOW MUCH IT WILL CHANGE THE DISTANCE. SO IT CAN POTENTIALLY CAUSE A LOW SPEED IMPACT ACCIDENT. THIS IS DUE TO NOT KNOWING WHERE TO BREAK FOR PROPER STOPPING DISTANCE. ENGINE PROBLEM WHEN STARTING VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE TURNS OVER THEN STALLS. ONLY WAY I HAVE FOUND TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING IS TO PRESS THE GAS PEDAL WHILE TURNING IT OVER. WIPER ISSUE. MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER DOESN'T WORK. I LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE HEAVY SNOW FALL HAPPENS. THIS IS A DANGER TO MYSELF AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD. IF MY VEHICLE IS ON THE ROAD DURING A BLIZZARD OR HEAVY SNOW VISIBILITY IS LOST ON HALF MY WINDSHIELD.
WHEN I TURN ON MY TURN SIGNAL EITHER WAY, THE HIGH-BEAMS COME ON. I THOUGH IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN MY DOING, BUT I PAYED ATTENTION MANY TIMES AND IT WILL ALWAYS DO IT. *TR
NOTICED THAT MY CAR WAS NOT STARTING WHEN CRANKED.\I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY AND CHANGED IT, BUT STILL HAVING THE PROBLEM. RESEARCHED THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT THE POWERTRAIN/ENGINE CONTROL MODULES WERE THE ISSUES IN NUMEROUS CHEVY EQUINOX WHICH MAY BE THE REASON FOR THE CAR NOT STARTING. *TR
IGNITION LET'S THE KEY GO WHILE VEHICLE IS STARTED. RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM CHEVROLET STATING A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR IGNITION CYLINDER. TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER ON 7/14/15 AND THEY SAID MY IGNITION HOUSING IS BAD ALSO. TRYING TO CHARGE ME 230.00 TO FIX THE IGNITION. I FEEL A RECALL NEEDS TO BE PLACED ON THE ENTIRE IGNITION NOT JUST THE CYLINDER. MY KEY STICKS SOMETIMES IN THE ON POSITION. MY KEY IS ABLE TO BE PULLED FROM THE IGNITION WHILE RUNNING. MY KEY SOMETIMES STICKS IN THE OFF POSITION SO I CAN'T START IT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAD LIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE HEAD LIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PUT INTO PARK THE KEY GOT STUCK IN THE IGNITION. *JS

EQUINOX OVERHEATED. WE IMMEDIATELY REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT AND WATER PUMP. DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE EQUINOX IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP, THE TESTS SHOWED THE EQUINOX HAS TWO CRACKED HEADS. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE INJECTOR O-RING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A POLICE AND A FIRE REPORT WERE NOT FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,381.

WENT BACK TO DEALER CONCERNING CRUISE CONTROL JUST SHUTTING OFF WITHOUT WARNING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THEY COULD NOT GET VEHICLE TO REPLICATE THIS (WHAT NO FAULT CODES). INTERMITTENT NO START WHEN ACTUALLY USING KEY TO START, DEALER CLAIMS THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THIS ALSO. IT APPEARS THAT THE DEALERSHIP IS VERY GOOD AT NOT WANTING TO FIX OR ABLE TO REPLICATE ANY OF THESE ISSUES. VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT MARCH 25, 2014 WITH 99,704 MILES ON IT, CURRENT MILEAGE IS JUST SHY OF 103,000. I PURCHASED A CAR FROM DRIVETIME, IN THE YEAR OF 2012, A 2006 CHEVY EQUINOX [AWD]. ON NOVEMBER 22, 2014, I WAS IN MY CAR AND ENTERING A BLINF CURVE, WHEN ANOTHER CAR CAME HEAD TO HEAD TOWARDS MY SUV. I TURNED TO THE RIGHT TO KEEP FROM GOING HEAD ON WITH THE CAR. THERE WAS A 6 FOOT DROP DITCH ON MY PASSENGER SIDE. I SWIRLED TO KEEP FROM GOING INTO THE DITCH AND HIT A TELEGRAM POLE INSTEAD. I DO NOT REMEMBER MUCH, BECAUSE I BLINK OUT FOR AT LEAST TEN MINUTES, MY NEPHEW SAID. IN THE COURSE OF THIS HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT, MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. AFTER I WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL, I CALLED MY MECHANIC TO CHECK MY CAR TO SEE IF THE DAMAGES CAN BE FIXED WITHOUT USING MY INSURANCE. TO MY SHOCKED, HE EXPRESSED THAT MY AIRBAG WAS NEVER CONNECTED IN MY TRUCK. I CONTACTED DRIVETIME DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID IT WS EXPRESSED IN MY CONTRACT THAT THEY DID NOT WARRANT THE AIRBAG NEITHER DID THEY GUARANTEE THAT THE WORK. I ENTERED A PANIC PHASE, AND THE NIGHTMARES NEVER STOP. I ALMOST DIED BECAUSE THEY SOLD ME A TRUCK WITH DISCONNECTED AIRBAGS. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR, BECAUSE NEXT TIME I MIGHT NOT BE SO LUCKY. THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP, AND THEY ARE HARASSING ME TO PAY THE CAR NOT, AND WHEN WILL I GET THE CAR OUT OF THE SHOP. WE JUST PURCHASED OUR 2006 CHEVY EQUINOX ON 11-15-2014 AN AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP WE WERE CAUGHT IN A SNOW STORM AND ATTEMPTED TO TURN ON THE HEAT TO WARM UP INSIDE. THE HEAT WASN'T HOT AND THE DEFROST WOULD NOT WORK EITHER AND SO NEED LESS TO SAY WE HAD TO USE A/C AN CRACK THE WINDOWS AN CONSTANTLY WIPE WINDSHIELD TO BE ABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE HOME. THAT BEING SAID I BEGAN TO DO RESEARCH ON THE PROBLEM AN AS SEARCHING I AM FINDING OUT THAT THERE ARE NEUROMAS COMPLAINTS OF THE CHEVY EQUINOX HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I HAVE DESCRIBED. READING THE COMPLAINTS I HAVE FOUND OUT THE REPAIRS ARE COSTLY AND GM HAS NOT MADE ANY ATTEMPTS TO RECALL THE FAULTY PARTS. THE HEATING SYSTEM SUDDENLY FAILED AND BLOWS COLD AIR AFFECTING THE VEHICLES WINDSHIELD DEFROSTING ABILITY. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. THE PROBLEM IMPACTS THE ABILITY OF THE CAR TO DEFROST. AS NOTED IN A LETTER FROM GM'S DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT INVESTIGATIONS AND SAFETY TO THE NHTSA ON DECEMBER 23, 2009, THE 2010 EQUINOX WAS RECALLED SINCE A MANUFACTURER?S DEFECT RESULTED IN NON-OPERATIONAL DEFROST SYSTEMS THAT WAS A SAFETY CONCERN, COULD RESULT IN A CRASH, AND VIOLATED FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD 103. IN OTHER WORDS, GM HAS ADMITTED ON ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT MANUFACTURER?S DEFECTS THAT CAUSE IN-OPERABLE DEFROST SYSTEMS ARE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE. CHEVROLET EQUINOX DRIVERS ARE AT STAKE. NOT HAVING THE ABILITY TO DEFROST YOUR WINDSHIELD COULD LEAD TO TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS VEHICLE DAMAGE, INJURY AND POSSIBLE DEATH. I STARTED THE CAR IN THE MORNING AROUND 6:10 TO TAKE MAY DAUGHTER TO THE BUS STOP. I WAITED A FEW MINUTES FOR THE CAR TO GET WARM AND BEFORE I WENT TO PULL OFF, I TURNED ON THE HEAT, THE TEMP SETTING WAS SET IN THE MIDDLE BETWEEN HOT AND COLD. I TURNED THE KNOB ALL THE WAY TO HEAT AND THEN TURNED THE BLOWER SETTING UP. NOTHING BUT COLD AIR. WE SAT AT THE BUS STOP AND EVEN AFTER IT CAME THERE WAS STILL NO HEAT. LATER THAT MORNING I TOOK MY OTHER CHILDREN TO SCHOOL. I SIT IN A VERY LONG CAR POOL LINE AND DROP THEM OFF AT THE FRONT DOOR. THE ENTIRE TRIP WAS WITHOUT HEAT. IN THE AFTERNOON I REPEAT THE MORNING BY PICKING UP THE CHILDREN WITHOUT HEAT. THE ENGINE WAS HEATED UP THERE WAS NO REASON THAT I KNEW OF THAT THE HEATER SHOULD NOT WORK. BUT WHILE IN MY ACCOUNT IT WAS SHOWING ACTIVE WARRANTY. IT SHOWED ME THERE WAS AN ACTIVE EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM GM, COVERING ACTUATOR DOOR DEFAULT. ALL EQUINOX OWNERS ARE COVERED TO 120,000 MILES OR 1/1/2016.....SO IF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH HEAT BLOWING COLD TAKE IT TO AUTHORIZED CHEVY GM DEALER BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO TAKE THE WHOLE DASH OUT TO FIX A 10.00 PART, THE LABOR CHARGE IS $2600 MY DEALER TOLD ME. ALSO IF YOU PAID FOR THIS ISSUE OUT OF POCKET THEY WILL REIMBURSE YOU. GOOGLE THIS ISSUE , THERE IS A SPECIAL BULLETIN NUMBER FOR THIS. GET THAT NUMBER AND CALL YOUR DEALER!!!!!
