A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AGO, I BEGAN EXPERIENCING AN ISSUE WITH MY 2006 CHEVY EQUINOX. THE HEAT STOPPED WORKING. THE FAN WOULD WORK AND BLOW AIR - BUT NO HEAT. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A GM DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT THE ISSUE. IMMEDIATELY UPON TELLING THEM THE SYMPTOMS, THEY DIAGNOSED MY VEHICLE WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT. THE SERVICE REP TOLD ME THAT IT WAS "KNOWN ISSUE" WITH THE EQUINOX, THAT ALMOST 4 OUT OF 5 VEHICLES OF THAT MAKE/MODEL/YEAR HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. HE TOLD ME THE GOOD NEWS WAS THAT THE PART TO FIX IT WAS ONLY $65, BUT THE BAD NEWS WAS THAT THE LABOR WAS $1000. I WAS TOLD THAT THE HINGE ON THE TEMPERATURE BLEND DOOR" WAS BROKEN AT THE ACTUATOR AND THAT THE ENTIRE DASH ASSEMBLY WOULD HAVE TO BE REMOVED TO GET TO THE BROKEN PART. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND HAD ALMOST THE SAME ANSWER - ALTHOUGH, TO THEIR CREDIT, THEY DID ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE VEHICLE BEFORE DIAGNOSING IT. BOTH OF THESE GM/CHEVY DEALERSHIPS SHOOK THEIR HEADS AND ALMOST LAUGHED AT ME - SAYING THAT IT WAS A "KNOWN ISSUE". I DECIDED THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY $1000 TO FIX A "KNOWN ISSUE", SO I CALLED CHEVY CUSTOMER SERVICE. KEEP IN MIND THAT MY VEHICLE IS SITTING AT THE DEALERSHIP DURING ALL THIS. AFTER MORE THAN A WEEK, CHEVY TELLS ME THAT MY WARRANTY EXPIRED (I WAS 20K MILES OVER THE WARRANTY) AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. THEY CONVINCE THE DEALERSHIP TO KNOCK 10% OFF MY BILL. GEE... THANKS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WERE NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS KNOWN BY THE MANUFACTURER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BLOWER MOTOR SPEED AND MODE SELECTION CONTINUED TO FUNCTION; HOWEVER, THE HEATER WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE MILEAGE SURPASSED THE ACCEPTED MILEAGE FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10044379-4513(EQUIPMENT/VISIBILITY); THEREFORE, THE CONTACT COULD NOT BE ASSISTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER FAILED TO DEFROST THE WINDOWS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BLEND DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK DRIVING ABOUT 25MPH AT APPROXIMATELY 100 FT FROM A STOP LIGHT I LIGHTLY TAPPED MY BRAKE. IMMEDIATELY MY ANTI LOCK BRAKE CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE WAS STILL MOVING AT THE SAME SPEED. I PRESS THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP THE BRAKE COMPLETELY DISABLED . AS I GOT WITHIN ABOUT 30 FT OF THE RED LIGHT THE CAR STOPPED AND THE BRAKE WAS ENGAGED. IT WAS A DRY DAY THE ROAD WAS SMOOTH THERE IS NO REASON THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SHOULD COME ON. TODAY 9/9/14 I PICKED UP MY DAUGHTER FROM SCHOOL . AS I PROCEEDED TO EXIT THE SCHOOL GOING ABOUT 10MPH THE ANTILOCK BRAKE CAME ON DISABLING THE BRAKE. I PRESS THE BREAK ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND IT ROLLED AND CAME TO A STOP. IT'S VERY DRY AND THERE IS NO REASON WHY THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SHOULD COME ON. I CALLED GENERAL MOTORS AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS CAR NEVER HAD ANY RECALLS AND THAT MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY THEREFORE IT'S MY RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. I TOLD THE REP THAT I WILL REPORT IT BECAUSE THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
WE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED FOR OUR COLLEGE STUDENT. WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE FROM SEEKER TOYOTA IN ST. ROBERT MO. TWO DAYS AFTER PURCHASE THE. BRAKE SYSTEM ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE LOCKED UP. THIS WAS SUPPOSEDLY INSPECTED BY THE DEALERSHIP. WE REPLACED THE CALIPERS, ROTORS, BRAKES PADS, AND THOUGHT THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED, LESS THAN 2 MONTHS LATER IT LOCKED UP AGAIN AND TRIED TO CATCH FIRE. NOW HAVE TO FIX AGAIN. THE HEATER STOPPED WORKING ABOUT A WEEK AFTER PURCHASE, THE CD PLAYER STOPPED WORKING THE DAY AFTER PURCHASE. WE WERE TOLD THERE WAS NO WARRANTY AFTER SPENDING NEARLY $5000 FOR THIS VEHICLE. WE FEEL LIKE WE WERE RIPPED OFF AND WHY ISN'T THE BRAKE PROBLEMS AND HEAT ISSUES NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. *TR
FAILURE OF THE HVAC BLEND DOOR [1] HAS MADE DEFROSTING THE FORWARD WINDSHIELD IN COLD TEMPERATURES IMPOSSIBLE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE OF THE LIMITING OF VISIBILITY AND IN VIOLATION OF STANDARD 103 [2] FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. GM HAS ADMITTED A DESIGN FLAW IN THE HVAC BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR IN THAT A DEALER REPLACEMENT USES AN UPDATED HVAC BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR WHICH MORE ACCURATELY LIMITS THE ROTATIONAL TRAVEL. THE FAILURE OF THE HVAC BLEND DOOR OCCURS BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL FAULTY DESIGNED HVAC BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR TRAVELS TOO FAR CAUSING STRUCTURAL STRESS ON THE BLEND DOOR WHICH EVENTUALLY LEADS TO PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE BLEND DOOR. THIS RESULTS IN VENT AIR NOT PASSING OVER THE HEAT CORE, THEREFORE MAKING DEFROSTING OF THE WINDSHIELD NOT POSSIBLE IN COLD CONDITIONS. *TR
IT WAS VERY HARD TO APPLY BRAKES. THEY DID NOT WORK. THE ABS AND TC LIGHTS ON DASH BOARD COME ON INTERMITTENTLY. THE CAR AT LOW SPEED HIT A POST DUE TO BRAKES NOT WORKING. THIS PROBLEM COULD LEAD TO MORE DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. *TR
THE TEMPERATURE BLEND DOOR IS THE PROBLEM ON MY VEHICLE. I DO NOT HAVE ANY HEAT, WHICH MEAN I DO NOT HAVE DEFROSTERS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION, IN WHICH THE INTERNET IS FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON THIS VEHICLE.. I DON'T KNOW HOW IT IS NOT RECALLED. I WAS TOLD MY MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP IT COULD COST $4,000 TO FIX. I BROUGHT IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC THAT TOLD ME IT IS SET UP TO FAIL, AS IT IS CHEAPLY MADE! IS CHEVY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET KILLED WHEN THEIR DEFROSTERS SUDDENLY FAIL. I USED A PLUG IN HEATER TO DEFROST MY WINDOWS THIS PAST WINTER BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO FIX IT. THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS THE HEATER KEPT BLOWING MY FUSES. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY!!
WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH THE BELL STARTED RINGING, THEN THE DASH LIGHTS CAME ON. TC-ABS-BRAKE, THEN THE STEERING WHEEL STIFFENED UP AS LIKE STANDARD BEFORE POWER STEERING. I PULLED OVER IT SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME, WE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I WENT TO A GM AUTHORIZED REPAIR SHOP THE SAID IT WAS NORMAL FOR THIS CAR TO DO???? I WAS TALKED INTO PUTTING A NEW BRAIN IN THE EQUINOX SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS $$$$$ AND IT STILL DID THE SAME THING. WENT BACK TO THE DEALER (CHEVY) THEY HAD THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS, CALLED AND SAID THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM, YEA A BENT WIRE?? WORKED FINE FOR A FEW MONTHS AND NOW ITS DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. OH BY THE WAY I WAS INFORMED THAT I DID NOT NEED TO PUT A NEW BRAIN IN THE CAR THE OLD ONE WAS VERY GOOD. GM IS A REALY BAD PLACE TO BUY ANY CAR ANY MORE, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER ONLY THE $$$ THEY SOLD ME A CAR THEY NEW FULL WELL HAD PROBLEMS.
THE EQUINOX WAS AT A DEAD STOP WAITING FOR AN ONCOMING CAR TO PASS SO A LEFT TURN COULD BE MADE. A DISTRACTED DRIVER REAR ENDED OUR VEHICLE AT ABOUT 55 MPH CAUSING OUR VEHICLE TO SPIN 180 DEGREES INTO THE OPPOSING LANE OF TRAFFIC. AS A RESULT OF THE IMPACT BOTH FRONT RECLINING SEATS BROKE INTO A PERMANENT RECLINE POSITION; THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A BACK INJURY AND THE CHILD IN A CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT IN THE BACK SEAT BEHIND THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS STRUCK ON THE KNEE AND FOREHEAD BY THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED AN INJURY TO THE RIGHT LEG. *TR
I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO TOW DIFFERENT GM DEALERS REGARDING ABS/TRACTION CONTROL ISSUES. I HAVE SPENT $1000.00 AND THE GM TECHNICIANS CANNOT CORRECT THE ISSUE. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE WHEEL SENSOR & THE HUB ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AND NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK. THE ABS SYSTEM IS CONSTANTLY ACTIVATING DURING NORMAL BRAKING/DRIVING AND SOME TIMES INTERFERES WITH STOPPING. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN FOR REPAIRS AT PORTER CHEVROLET, NEWARK, DELAWARE AND RECENTLY NUCAR CONNECTION IN NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE. THE LATEST REPAIR WAS DONE BY NUCAR, THE CAR WAS AT THE DEALER FORM AUGUST 29 TO SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2014. THE CAR IS A 2006 EQUINOX VIN [XXX]. I HAVE SEEN MANY FORUMS/BLOGS WITH EQUINOX OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
HEATER BLEND DOOR- TEMPERATURE DOOR IS BROKEN. THIS REPAIR IS ESTIMATED AT $1000.00. AFTER READING SEVERAL THOUSAND REVIEWS, THIS IS A PROBLEM OCCURRING IN ALL OF THE 06 CHEVY EQUINOX'S. CHEVY NEEDS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS DEFECT AND ISSUE A RECALL. THIS IS A VERY COSTLY REPAIR THAT MOST CAN NOT AFFORD AND SOMETHING THAT NEEDS REPLACED IN A COUPLE OF YEARS.
I HAD LEFT WORK, DRIVEN ABOUT 6 MILES, SHUT ENGINE OFF TO FILL WITH GAS, GOT BACK IN TO CRANK ENGINE AND NOTHING - NO LIGHTS ON INSTRUMENT PANEL. HAD HAULED TO GARAGE, BATTERY WAS PUT ON SLOW CHARGE OVER NIGHT, SHOWED LITTLE LOW BUT WOULD CRANK CAR, MFG REPLACED BATTERY BUT 2 MONTHS LATER IT WOULD NOT CRANK AGAIN. PUT BATTERY ON CHARGE OVERNIGHT AGAIN. HASN'T OCCURRED AGAIN BUT FOUND OUT SOMEONE ELSE HAS SAME PROBLEM WITH TRAILBLAZER, HE HAS TO CARRY A JUMP BOX AROUND WITH HIM.. LOCAL GM DEALER HAS NOT FOUND HIS PROBLEM EITHER..WHAT DO WE DO TRADE IN WITH DEALER THEN LET IT BECOME THEIR PROBLEM? *TR
THE ABS AND T/C LIGHTS COME ON AFTER DRIVING. IF THE CAR HAS BEEN TURNED OFF, AND YOU TURN THE CAR BACK ON, THE LIGHTS WILL NOT COME ON WHILE DRIVING AROUND OR UNDER 10MPH, BUT THE SYMPTOMS ARE THAT THE BRAKES WILL GRIND AND BE VERY HARD TO PUSH, VERY DANGEROUS WHEN BRAKING BEHIND SOMEBODY WAITING TO PULL OUT OF A DRIVEWAY INTO A BUSY INTERSECTION. AFTER ACCELERATING TO 20MPH OR FASTER, THE BRAKE ISSUE MIGHT GO AWAY, BUT THE ABS/TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS WILL COME ON. THE PROBLEM IS KNOWN FOR THE 2006 CHEVY EQUINOX TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE PIGTAIL WIRING HARNESS. WAS DRIVING HOME AFTER DRIVING STUDENT TO HIGH SCHOOL AND SMOKE STARTED COMING FROM THE AREA OF THE IGNITION/STEERING COLUMN AND IT SMELLED LIKE SOMETHING WAS BURNING. I AM LEAVING IT AT CHEVY DEALERS FOR INVESTIGATION INTO WHAT IS CAUSING THE ISSUE. I HAVE HAD STARTING PROBLEMS IN THE PAST MONTH ON OCCASION. *TR
3.4L GM POWER PLANT USED IN UNTOLD AMOUNTS OF VEHICLES BLOWING HEAD GASKETS, AND INTAKE GASKETS SINCE 1996. I DESIGN FLAW THAT WAS NEVER ADDRESSED. THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THAT. WE CANT KEEP ALLOWING COMPANIES TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HARD WORKING PEOPLE BUY SELLING THEM JUNK. ALL OF THEM NEED TO BE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD.
IN THE LAST MONTH MY 2006 EQUINOX'S ENGINE HAS FAILED 5 TIMES, 3 TIMES WHILE SITTING AT INTERSECTIONS AND TWICE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. ALL 5 TIMES THE LIGHTS HAVE GONE ON THE DASH AND THEN ALL POWER TO THE ENGINE HAS BEEN LOST. IT TAKES A GOOD MINUTE BEFORE THE ENGINE WILL TURN OVER AGAIN. WE HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE SHOP FOR EXTENSIVE WORK (INCLUDING WHEEL BEARINGS AND IGNITION SWITCH) AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX OR EVEN PINPOINT THE PROBLEM. I KNOW THAT THE 2005 EQUINOX WAS RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE AND WANT TO KNOW WHEN THE '06 WILL BE ADDED TO THE LIST??? *TR
I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO LEAVE A PARKING LOT AND THE WHEEL SNAPPED IN MY HANDS AND I COULD NOT STEER THE CAR. IT HAPPENED A COUPLE OF MORE TIMES AND SINCE I FELT UNSAFE I, OF COURSE, TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR IT. $900.00 LATER WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. AT THAT POINT THEY SAID THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BUT SUGGESTED WE WAIT UNTIL WE COULD ACTUALLY HEAR A THUMPING NOISE. THE PROBLEM DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN UNTIL MAY 2015 RIGHT AFTER WE GIFTED THE CAR TO OUR GRAND DAUGHTER. NOW WE ARE RIGHT BACK WHERE WE STARTED BUT ANOTHER MECHANIC HAS TOLD US IT COULD BE IN THE ELECTRONICS. THIS IS AN UNSAFE SITUATION. THE STEERING COULD BECOME DISABLED AND CAUSE A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
PASSENGER SIDE TIRE/WHEEL BRAKE LOCKED UP. NOT ABLE TO DRIVE IN ANY GEAR. APPEARED TO BE BRAKES LOCKED UP. POSSIBLE FIRE DANGER. WHEEL GOT SO HOT IT MELTED OFF THE PLASTIC HUB CAP COVER. SMELLED OF BURNING PLASTIC/BRAKE. TRYING TO GET SAFETY EVAL BY GM DELAERSHIP THIS WEEK. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS VEHICLE. NHTSA: REQUEST YOUR REVIEW TO RECOMMEND IMMEDIATE RECALL; FOUND SAME PROBLEM ACROSS THE INTERNET THIS MORNING. HELP.... *JS

I AM A OWNER OF A 2006 EQUINOX, I HAVE NOTICED THE CHANGE IN SHIFTS WHEN I AM DRIVING. IT'S LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS SHIFTING AND JERKS THE CAR THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING PROBLEM FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW. IT STALLED OUT ON ME ONE WHILE I WAS IN TRAFFIC AND THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION HARD FOR ME TO TURN KEY TO RESTART. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. FINALLY THIS PAST WEEKEND I ALMOST WRECKED SOMEONE IN FRONT OF ME BECAUSE OF THE JERKING AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ONCE AGAIN, THEY FINALLY GAVE ME A DIAGNOSIS SAID I NEED TO GET MY IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED WHICH IS A LARGE AMOUNT TO FIX. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE FOR FAMILIES AND I CAN SEE ACCIDENTS HAPPENING. THIS VEHICLE SHOULD DEFINITELY BE RECALLED AS WELL ! I HAVE CONTACTED GM BUT NO REPLIES. *TR
THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND STAYED ON. THE BRAKE PEDAL VIBRATED AT EACH STOP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO STOP, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE ENGINE AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS SENSOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR IS HARD TO START. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAD IT TESTED. THEY SAID IT IS ON BECAUSE OF THE GAS CAP. THE HEATER IS BLOWING OUT COLD AIR, IT'S IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE TO DRIVE TO WORK WITH A BLANKET ON MY LAP, HEAVY JACKET AND GLOVES. THE HEATER VENT DOOR HAS BECOME INOPERABLE RESULTING IN NO HEAT ENTERING THE CABIN. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS HAPPENING TO MANY OTHER PEOPLE BUT YET NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY GM (ONLY SERVICE BULLETINS). THIS IS A FLAWED DESIGN AND IS A HAZARDOUS SAFETY ISSUE DURING AN ICE/SNOW EVENT. THE VEHICLE ALSO BEGAN OVERHEATING FOR NO APPARENT REASON (EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT & FLUSHING THE SYSTEM). THESE SYMPTOMS ALL BEGAN SHORTLY AFTER THE HEATING PROBLEM MATURED. RELATED OR NOT, THERE ARE MANY OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT ARE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH SIMILAR (MAJOR) EXPENSE IN TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE(S). AFTER STOPPING WHEN DRIVING LONGER DISTANCES THE FRONT LEFT BRAKE WOULD FAIL TO DISENGAGE, SO THAT THE BRAKE WOULD REMAIN ON WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE ON INTERSTATE. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT CHECKED AND DISCOVERED THAT THE BRAKE LINE WAS COLLAPSING WHEN HOT PREVENTING BRAKE FLUID TO BRAKE. THE LEFT ONE WENT BAD FIRST, BUT BY THE TIME I FOUND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS I HAD TO HAVE THE ROTOR, CALIPER AND PADS ALL REPLACED ALSO. AFTER IT WAS REPLACED EVERYTHING WAS GREAT FOR ABOUT 30 DAYS AND THEN THE RIGHT ONE STARTED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SO I HAD THE RIGHT BRAKE LINE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY AND IT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM WITH NO ADDITIONAL COSTS. WE HAD A VERY RAINY SPRING SO AS LONG AS THERE WAS WATER ON THE ROAD THE BRAKE WOULD FUNCTION PROPERLY BECAUSE THE WATER WOULD KEEP IT COOL, BUT ON DRY DAYS IT WOULD STICK. IT FINALLY GOT TO THE POINT THAT IT WAS JUST STUCK ALL THE TIME NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER WAS. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD EVER HEARD OF A BRAKE LINE COLLAPSING SHUT... THE VEHICLE HAD 69,000 MILES ON IT WHEN PURCHASED IT NOW HAS 82,000 MILES AND THE STARTER JUST STARTED STICKING A FEW DAYS AGO WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START IT.
