TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE KEY COULD BE REMOVED WHILE IT WAS ON ACCESSORY MODE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE A/C AND THE HEATER BLOWER RELAY WAS MELTED AND BURNED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,800. UPDATED 11/12/14*LJ
ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS DASH BOARD INDICATORS CAME ON AND THE ABS BRAKES BEGAN TO PULSE SUDDENLY. THE PULSING WOULD HAPPEN AT ANY TIME (DRY OR WET SURFACE AND AT ANY SPEED). WHEN VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL DASH LIGHTS WOULD BE OFF BUT WOULD LIGHT UP AGAIN IN A SHORT WHILE. TOOK VEHICLE TO FIRESTONE. FIRST, ONE SET OF HUB BEARINGS WAS REPLACED. WHEN THAT DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM, THE OTHER SET OF HUB BEARINGS WERE REPLACED. THAT DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM EITHER, SO BOTH SETS WERE REPLACED AGAIN IN CASE OF A FAULTY PART. THAT STILL DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM, SO THE ELECTRICAL WAS REWIRED. THIS WORKED FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS BUT NOW THE LIGHTS ARE LIT AND THE BRAKES ARE PULSING AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN ON AN UNOFFICIAL CHEVROLET FORUM AND IT SEEMS THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THE EQUINOX. WHAT IS CHEVY DOING TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND WHY HASN'T A RECALL BEEN ISSUED? *TR
I HAVE HAD ALL KIND OF TROUBLE OUT OF THIS VEHICLE. FIRST IT WAS THE WHEEL BEARINGS. CHANGE ONE AN NOT LONG AFTER HAVE TO CHANGE ANOTHER. HAVE CHANGED ABOUT 4. THREE ON ONE WHEEL AN ONE ON THE OTHER. AND NOW HAVE TO CHANGE ANOTHER THAT I CAN TELL. THEN IT STARTED WITH BRAKES RECENTLY. THEY WOULD STICK. HAD BRAKES REPLACED THAT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON VEHICLE. THEN WENT OFF HAVEN'T CAME ON SINCE BUT BRAKES HAVE STUCK MORE THAN ONE TIME. VERY DANGEROUS. NOW TO GET WITH THE AIR IN THE VEHICLE THAT I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAIN ABOUT. WHILE CAR IS SITTING STILL THE VEHICLE WILL STAY WARM AN WARM AIR BLOWING OUT. WHERE IT HAS BEEN COLD WHEN DRIVING THE CAR THE TEMP WOULD GO DOWN ON VEHICLE MAKING THE AIR BLOW OUT COOL AN I ABOUT FREEZE TO DEATH DRIVING. WINDOWS FOG UP FAST. NEED A RECALL IF SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE/ISSUES. CAN CAUSE MAJOR PROBLEMS IF NOT ADDRESSED OR FIXED. I DON'T LET ME KIDS RIDE IN THE CAR WITH ME ANYMORE CAUSE OF THIS. *TR
WE HAVE HAD REPETITIVE PROBLEMS WITH THE ABS BRAKES KICKING IN AND THE VEHICLE NOT WANTING TO STOP. HAVE HAD IT SERVICED 3 TIMES IN 4 MONTHS. (HAVE ONLY OWNED THE CAR FOR 6 MONTHS). REPLACED BOTH FRONT WHEEL ABS SENSORS AND THE LAST TIME THE ABS CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED AND NOW IT IS DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. IT IS A PERSISTENT PROBLEM BUT THE SENSOR LIGHTS ONLY COME ON INTERMITTENTLY. WE HAVE NOT EVEN PUT 3000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE SINCE WE HAVE OWNED IT. FROM LOOKING ONLINE WE HAVE FOUND THAT WE ARE ONE OF MANY PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE. WHEN IT IS DEALING WITH A BRAKE ISSUE I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT CHEVY HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. WE ALSO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE IGNITION WHEN YOU TURN IT OVER IT CONTINUES TO TRY TO START AFTER IT IS RUNNING. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IS STOP IS TO STEP ON THE GAS. AGAIN BY LOOKING ONLINE I SEE THAT THIS TOO IS A CONSISTENT PROBLEM. I REALLY LIKE THE CAR BUT AT THIS POINT I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH TAKING IT INTO THE SHOP ALL OF THE TIME AND HAVING THEM NOT BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT NEEDS DONE TO FIX IT. *TR
THE HEATER STARTED BLOWING COLD AIR WHILE DRIVING NOT ALLOWING THE WINDSHIELD TO DEFROST AND LIMITING VISIBILITY. I HAD TO PULL OVER MULTIPLE TIMES TO WIPE WINDSHIELD DOWN TO SEE SO I COULD GET HOME. NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. *TR
VEHICLE HAS NO HEAT OR DEFROST. TOOK TO SHOP. SHOP STATED BLEND DOOR IS BROKEN AND ACTUATOR NEEDS REPLACED. SHOP HAS TO DISSEMBLE THE ENTIRE VEHICLE DASH TO ACCESS AND REPLACE THE 2 PARTS TO THE COST OF $1030.00. MAJORITY OF COSTS $750 IS LABOR TO DISSEMBLE AND REASSEMBLE THE ENTIRE DASH TO REPLACE 2 SIMPLE PARTS THAT TOTAL ABOUT $280 FOR GM. AS I AM FINDING OUT THIS IS A RECURRING EVENT WITH A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF EQUINOX VEHICLE OWNERS. *TR
WAS IDLING IN CAR AT MILITARY CHECK POINT TO GET TO SCHOOL IN 2012 AND FANS UNDER HOOD GOT LOUD TO COOL IT DOWN. WENT DEAD SEVERAL TIMES. LET SIT 45 MINUTES. CHECKED RADIATOR AND WAS FULL OF WATER. BARELY MADE IT HOME, GOING DEAD ALL THE WAY. TOOK TO DEALER AND SAID COULD NOT FIND PROBLEM AT ALL CHARGED ME OVER $100 TO CHECK IT. FOR MONTHS IT WOULD DO THIS OFF AND ON. THEN THE FAN UNDER THE HOOD STARTED COMING ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF. THEN THE CAR WOULD RUN WHEN I TURNED THE KEY OFF. NOW IN JANUARY 2014, THE HEATER IS BLOWING COLD AIR AND I HAVE NO DEFROST AND THE ENGINE TEMP. GAUGE IS ALL OF THE WAY TO HOT. I CAN ONLY RUN IT FOR 15 MINUTES THEN IT GOES DEAD AND I HAVE TO WAIT 45 MINUTES FOR IT TO COOL DOWN TO GO ANOTHER 45 MINUTES. REALLY BAD FOR ME BECAUSE IT TAKE ME 30 MINUTES TO GET TO WORK SO I HAVE TO ADD ANOTHER 45 MINUTES.....THAT'S THERE AND THEN 45 EXTRA HOME. *TR
HEATER IS BLOWING COLD AIR AND DEFROSTER IS NOT WORKING. WENT ON-LINE AND SAW THAT HUNDREDS OF OTHERS ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. WHEN IT RAINS THIS POSES AS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE DEFROSTER NOT WORKING. CAN YOU PLEASE RECALL SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY WITH THE SAME ISSUE. *TR
BRAKES LOCKUP INTERMITTENTLY HAS CAUSED VEHICLE TO GO OUT OF CONTROL SEVERAL TIMES. I HAVE SPENT OVER $700.00 AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUES TO OCCUR. *TR
2006 EQUINOX IS POSSESSED. I WOKE UP AT 2:30AM TO MY EQUINOX RUNNING IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH NO KEYS IN THE IGNITION. I HAD TO PUT THE KEYS IN IT AND MOVE IT FORWARD IN ORDER TO SHUT IT OFF. IT MUST HAVE RAN FOR AWHILE AS IT WAS WARM INSIDE. IT ALSO UNLOCKED ITSELF WHEN THIS HAPPENED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WATER PUMP FAILED. THE WATER PUMP WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO THEN ADVISED THAT THE HEAD GASKET WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
ONE DAY I NOTICED THE BRAKES WERE HARDER THAN NORMAL TO PUSH TO STOP THE CAR AND THEN MY ABS/TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS WOULD COME ON, WHEN THEY DID THE CAR WOULD BRAKE FINE. THIS NOW HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS. SOMETIMES THE LIGHTS COME ON AS SOON AS I START THE CAR AND SOMETIMES IT TAKES A FEW MINUTES OF DRIVING FOR THE LIGHTS TO COME ON, UNTIL THEY DO, BRAKING IS SCARY. BOTH FRONT HUBS, BOTH FRONT SENSORS, ROTORS AND PADS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND STILL ABS/TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMING ON. ALSO HAD ALL FOUR TIRES AIR PRESSURE CHECKED. ALL OF THIS WORK HAS BEEN PERFORMED BY A LICENSED MECHANIC AND HE IS NOW STUMPED. I HAVE BEEN READING OTHER COMPLAINTS ON DIFFERENT SITES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND NO RESOLUTION. *TR
HIT A ONE TON LOW BED DUMP TRUCK, THE WHOLE FRONT END OF MY SUV WAS DEMOLISHED, MY AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY AND I ENDED UP WITH REALLY BAD WHIPLASH FROM THE ACCIDENT, TO WHERE I'M STILL IN MAJOR PAIN! WONDERING IF THERE WAS A LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS? NEVER DEALT WITH A WRECK THIS BAD, I WAS JUST CURIOUS! *TR
THE HEAT IN THE VEHICLE HAS QUIT AND AFTER INVESTIGATING, WE BELIEVE THAT THE HEATER DOOR IN THE DASH COULD BE BROKEN. MY 16 YEAR OLD NEW DRIVER WAS OPERATING THE VEHICLE AND THE WINDOWS FOGGED UP AND WOULD NOT DEFROST. I SAW THAT TSB 11135 WAS RELEASED FOR EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT BUT ONLY FOR LIMITED AGE AND MILEAGE. IT IS A $35 PART THAT REQUIRES THE ENTIRE DASH TO BE DISASSEMBLED RESULTING IN OVER $1000 IN LABOR COSTS. THIS SHOULD BE REPLACED REGARDLESS OF MILEAGE ON VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY HAZARDS IF OPERATING THE VEHICLE AT NORMAL SPEEDS AND THE WINDOWS FOG UP OR FROST OVER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DECELERATING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT FELT THE BRAKE PEDAL VIBRATE EXCESSIVELY. THE TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN USE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC ON THREE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
HERD A GRINDING NOISE AND FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS STUCK IN A GEAR. BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO OGDEN CAR CARE WHERE I WAS TOLD IT'S A WHEEL BEARING ON THE LEFT AND THAT THE CAR IS PULLING EMISSIONS CODES BRING IT TO CHEVY. SO I BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO SUNRISE CHEVROLET WERE THEY CONFIRMED A BAD WHEEL BEARING AND NO EMISSIONS CODES WERE SHOWING UP. SO I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AT ROUTE 66 TIRE AND AUTO WERE HE TOLD ME IT HAS A BROKEN AXEL AND WAS ONLY BEING HELD ON BY THE CV BOOT. HE ALSO STATED THAT IF THE BOOT WOULD HAVE COME OFF THE TRUCK COULD HAVE BEEN A TERRIBLE CRASH COSTING THE LIVES OF ITS OCCUPANTS AND OTHER DRI I ERS ON THE ROAD. *TR
I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN WHEN MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN, COMPLETELY. NO POWER TO THE CONSOLE OR ANYTHING ELSE. I COULDN'T EVEN TURN ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS. I WAS AFRAID THAT SOMEONE GOING TO HIT ME BECAUSE IT WAS DARK. *TR
WHILE DRIVING, EITHER JUST GETTING INTO THE CAR AND PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE OR HAVING DRIVEN FOR A DISTANCE, WHEN PUSHING ON THE BREAKS TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THEY GRIND AND THE CAR DOESN'T STOP. SOMETIMES, THERE IS JUST A GRINDING SOUND AND I DON'T BOTHER PUSHING ON THE BREAKS BECAUSE I KNOW THAT THEY WILL NOT WORK. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND WAS TOLD THAT MY BREAKS LOOKED FINE. I WILL DRIVE FOR A WHILE AND IT MAY NOT HAPPEN AGAIN FOR DAYS. THEN IT STARTS UP AGAIN....THE GRINDING. IT IS SOMETIMES ACCOMPANIED BY THE TC AND/OR THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATING ON THE DASHBOARD. ONCE I CUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART, THE LIGHT(S) MAY GO OUT. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR INTO THE SHOP (BOTH A DEALER REPAIR AND AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP) AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T TELL WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THEY HAVE MENTIONED THAT THE ISSUE COULD BE ELECTRICAL, BUT NONE CAN CONFIRM. RESEARCH ON THIS SITE CONFIRMS THAT IT IS NOT JUST MY VEHICLE. I DO REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON MY VEHICLE AND YET THIS STILL HAPPENED. CHEVY NEEDS TO TAKE A LOOK AT THIS AND PROVIDE A SOLUTION. THIS IS DANGEROUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL BEGAN TO PULSATE WHEN PRESSURE WAS APPLIED. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO DECELERATE EVEN AFTER THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED REPEATEDLY. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS ENGAGED IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE TRACTION AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TEN TIMES WHERE THE FRONT BRAKES AND BEARINGS WERE REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. UPDATED 04/22/14*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS FIXED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THERE WAS SUDDEN LOSS OF ENGINE POWER AS THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
2006 EQUINOX: MY HEATER BLOWS COLD AIR. UPON RESEARCH, I'VE LEARNED THAT I AM AMONG HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS, WHO HAD HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WHICH STEMS FROM A BROKEN BLEND DOOR. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. MY FRONT WINDOWS DO NOT DEFROST ON COLD MORNINGS, CREATING A SIGNIFICANT DRIVING HAZARD ON THE ROADS. I AM AWARE THAT A SERVICE BULLETIN WAS RELEASED IN JUNE OF 2012 TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND OFFER REPAIR AT NO CHARGE. HOWEVER, THE BULLETIN ONLY COVERS VEHICLES 'WITHIN 10 YEARS OF THE DATE YOUR VEHICLE WAS ORIGINALLY PLACED IN SERVICE OR 120,000 MILES, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST'. THAT SAID, I WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS MY CONCERN FOR VEHICLE OWNERS SUCH AS MYSELF WHOSE MILEAGE/YEARS HAVE EXCEEDED THOSE SPECIFIED IN THE PARAGRAPH. PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY CHEVROLET WOULD BE WILLING TO REPAIR SOME VEHICLES WITH THIS ISSUE, BUT NOT ALL. ESPECIALLY IF THE COMPANY KNOWS THAT THEIR PRODUCT IS AT AN EXTREMELY HIGH RISK OF PUTTING THE LIVES OF ITS DRIVERS IN DANGER. *TR

WENT ON-LINE AND SEE THAT HUNDREDS OF OTHERS HAVE THIS COSTLY BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY SAFETY ISSUE (CAN'T SEE OUT OF WINDOW BECAUSE DEFROSTER DOESN'T WORK). I'VE BEEN CUTOFF BECAUSE I HAVE NO WARRANTY BUT THIS SEEMS TO BE A BIGGER PROBLEM SUCH AS A TOTAL RECALL. *TR
BLENDER DOOR BROKE NO HEAT TO DEFROST WINDOWS. *TR
HEATER STOPPED BLOWING HOT AIR. AFTER DIAGNOSIS BY CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN I WAS INFORMED THAT THE ACTUATOR FOR THE HEATER BLEND DOOR IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY/DAMAGED. AFTER RESEARCHING THE ISSUE IT BECAME CLEAR THAT THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL HUNDRED SAFETY COMPLAINTS FILED IN REGARDS TO THIS ISSUE. A RESOLUTION NEEDS TO BE ATTAINED AS THE REPAIR COST FOR THIS ITEM IS AROUND $1000. A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED BY GM SINCE IT BECOMES A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE INABILITY TO DEFROST YOUR WINDSHIELD IS NOT THERE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS STATED THE SUN ROOF RETRACTOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 70 MPH AND NOTICED A GAS LEAK FROM THE VEHICLE WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.
MY 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX HAS A UN -FIXABLE [PER DEALER] A.C. PROBLEM. DRIVING IN FLORIDA WITH TEMPS IN THE HIGH NINES IN TRAFFIC THE TEMP INSIDE THE CAR IS MUCH HIGHER. CAME BACK AND IT WOULDN'T START. CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY THOUGH IT WAS THE BATTERY, BUT IT WASN'T. HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT HAD A BAD STARTER. THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE IGNITION CYLINDER PRESUMED, AS THE FACTORY KEY IS INCAPABLE OF EVEN BEING ROTATED TO THE ON POSITION. A SECOND FACTORY ISSUED KEY THAT HAS BEEN SPARINGLY USED SINCE PURCHASED WAS SUBSTITUTED FOR THE ORIGINAL (PROBLEM KEY). THIS SECOND KEY APPEARED TO HAVE RESOLVED THE PROBLEM, FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF USE, HOWEVER NOW THIS NEW KEY WILL NOT WORK AT ALL EITHER. BASED ON MY RESEARCH VIA THE WEB, THIS APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH SEVERAL CHEVROLET VEHICLES UTILIZING THE SAME IGNITION CYLINDER; HOWEVER CHEVROLET HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS THIS KNOWN PROBLEM. *TR
SPOUSE DRIVING THE VEHICLE INDICATED THAT THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ON THE VEHICLE HAD RISEN QUICKLY WHILE SITTING IDLE AT A STOP LIGHT. THE GAUGE ONLY DECREASED SLIGHTLY WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. SUSPECTED A THERMOSTAT. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, THEY INDICATED THE SAME. REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. TESTS INDICATED A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. THE VEHICLE HAD NO SYMPTOMS OF THIS ISSUE. NO LOSS OF COOLANT. NO COOLANT IN THE OIL. NO OIL IN THE COOLANT. NO WHITE SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST. THE ONLY INDICATOR WAS THE QUICKLY RISING TEMPERATURE. AT THAT POINT, NO PREEMPTIVE MEASURES COULD BE TAKEN TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
I RAN OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD INTO A GUARDRAIL AND COULD NOT STOP UNTIL I WAS ON TOP OF THE GUARDRAIL INTO AN EMBANKMENT. MY ENTIRE FRONT END WAS DESTROYED AS WELL AS MOST OF THE UNDERNEATH OF THE CAR. MY FACE HIT THE STEERING WHEEL CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONSCIOUSNESS AS WELL AS GIVING ME A BLACK EYE, CROOKED TEETH, CUTS, BROKEN DENTAL APPLIANCES, AND MY TEETH WENT THROUGH MY LIP. I STRONGLY BELIEVE MY AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND PREVENTED THE IMPACT OF MY FACE TO THE STEERING WHEEL SINCE I THOUGHT THAT IS WHAT AIRBAGS ARE FOR. MY CAR WAS TOTALED. *TR
