While driving the power steering stopped working. I could still steer manual but was very hard. The service stability light came on. I pulled over to the side of the road turned car off then back on and still wouldn’t work. I decided to drive home with no power steering. Took to a local mechanic and he found that there is a TSB for this issue but is having challenges following the TSB. Due to he needs a “tech2” scanner. He thinks he found a workaround but that web site was down. He still has car and will resume today
The ECM in my vehicle appears to have an intermittent failure that can cause it to send the vehicle into WOT at any time at random. I was stopped at a traffic signal. It turned green, I let off the brake and my vehicle learched forward for a second, and then, all of a sudden launched into and hit the vehicle in front of me. I tried to push down the brakes, but they were too stiff, and, no, my foot did not even get a chance to press the gas yet. There was only minor damage to my vehicle, however, the situation was extremely scary. I have since changed out the ECM and have had no issues since. I have seen this issue once before on a similar vehicle, except, what happened with that is the vehicle was in a garage, and the ECM had failed nearly completely and stuck the vehicle in WOT. In my case, I was still able to drive the vehicle home, so the issue appeared to me intermittent. I still have the original ECM for further investigation. As I understand it, this ECM is in thousands of GM vehicles, across multiple lines. GM Part Number: 12611090.
Dashboard shows service passenger air bag. Yes available for inspection Passenger safety at risk. Not confirmed by dealer Has not been inspected
My passenger airbag doesn't pick up when someone is sitting in it and says service airbag. Chevrolet had recalls on them but not in my state. Now no one has to be in the seat and it will flash service airbag and the light on the dash stays on. I can't afford to fix it myself and think Chevrolet is responsible for the fix.
Fuel leak in fuel tank (on top)
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, he began to smell an abnormal fuel odor inside the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that after arriving to his destination, he saw fuel leaking from the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the fuel module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V459000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 108,000.
My windshield has hundreds are tack marks all over and it makes it extremely hard to see at night. And I have a huge heat crack on the windshield that is even continuing in summer time.
Passenger seat airbag is malfunctioning. It won't also sense that a passenger is seating in the seat. I am referring to a full grown adult and not a young child, so weight is not an issue and it should sense someone occupying the seat. The airbag will turn off and on while driving with the passenger seat occupied. When this happens, the service airbag system message comes across the dash as well as the red airbag light. This is a very serious safety issue that needs to be looked into. A passenger could get seriously injured or possibly die in the event of an accident, as the airbag won't deploy. First noticed the issue a few months ago and it seems to be happening more frequently.
Keys constantly stuck in the ignition. The air bag always turns on and off. Now, there's gas leaking somewhere and you can smell it well after the cars off. I think it may be the fuel pump, which is very pricey. All these were recalled in the past but none of them included my car.
Everytime my vehicle is exposed to water by rain or car wash. It goes into low power mode or limp mode only accelerating to like 30mph. I was told there is water getting somewhere is shouldnt causing a short. Im not the only one with this problem . Ive read on several forums.I was just on the freeway recently and it rained for about 5 minutes here in fresno California which is extremely unusual because it is still summer and the vehicle did this while i was driving. I could've caused an accident i had to pull over and stop driving. I turned off and on the car several times and the low power mode finally went away, and also the service stabilitrak system. Chevy is aware of this problem and they need to fix before somebody gets hurt
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving at 60 MPH, The contact heard a bell noise ringing from the vehicle. The contact the vehicle was running hot so the contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and open the hood and check coolant and waited a few minutes for the vehicle to cool down before restarting the vehicle and driving to their residence. The contact took the vehicle to a independent mechanic shop where they inspected the vehicle and diagnosed the failure the clips connected the fan was burnt so they replaced the part, however the failure persisted. The mechanic has replaced the thermostat the heat sensor and change out anti freeze and put a new fan motor. to fix the failure, but the failure still persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 177,003.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that at vehicle start-up, there was a strong gasoline odor inside the vehicle. The contact also stated that the vehicle would appear to lose nearly half a tank of gasoline approximately 1 to 2 hours after fill-up. The contact also stated that a friend who was also an independent mechanic had checked underneath the vehicle and discovered a small amount of gasoline that had spilled out of the fuel pump. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed her that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 12V459000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 100,266.

While car is running, fuel is leaking out the top of the tank. Fuel is leaking on exhaust, right under the tank. I have seen recalls on this year and model for a ring breaking around the fuel pump.
MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND STAYING ON 90% OF THE TIME AND WHEN I HAVE PASSENGER THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DOESN'T TURN ON
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. IT WOULD SOMETIMES NOT REGISTER IF SOMEONE WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT OR NOT. THEN THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND HAS STAYED ON. THIS MEANS THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IN CASE OF A CRASH. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I LOOKED UP TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON IT. THERE ISN'T AN OPEN RECALL ON MY PARTICULAR VIN NUMBER BUT THERE IS ON SOME OF THE SAME MODEL. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS OF 2007 CHEVY EQUINOXES. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ISSUED FOR IT. THE REPAIR COST IS ABOUT $1000.
AFTER WORK STARTED TO SMELL STRONG GAS SMELL. LOOK UNDER VEHICLE AND SEEN PUDDLE OF GAS. SHOP SAYS IT A LEAK IN THE GAS PIPE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED
ENGINE OVERHEATING "STATIONARY AND IN MOTION" SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MOST 2006 AND ABOVE. I REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT, THE WATER PUMP, I PERFORMED A RADIATOR FLUSH, REPLACED THE ECT SENSOR, AND STILL THE CAR OVER HEATS. I DID A COMPRESSION TEST AND IT'S FINE, I CHECKED THE HEAD GASKETS AND THEY ARE FINE. THE OIL LOOKS FINE, THE RADIATOR FLUID LOOKS FINE. I WENT THROUGH A CAR WASH AFTER REPLACING THE WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, AND ECT SENSOR. THE CAR STILL OVER HEATS, BOTH AT IDLE AND AFTER DRIVING 2 MILES OR 10 MILES. I'VE BEEN TOLD IT'S EITHER AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE, A RADIATOR ISSUE, OR ENGINE ELECTRICAL ISSUE. I CAN NOT KEEP PUTTING MONEY INTO A CAR THAT IS ONLY WORTH $2,500. MANY OTHER PEOPLE I HAVE NOTICED POSTED THE SAME ISSUE OF OVER HEATING AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT. IT SHOULD BE A CHEVY RECALL, AND REPAIRED BY THE MANUFACTURER. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF 1 OTHER COMPLAINT:........ON NOVEMBER 17TH THE VEHICLE STARTED TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS OVERHEATING AND TO TURN A/C OFF. A/C WAS NOT EVEN ON BECAUSE IT WAS COLD AND THE HEAT WAS BLOWING COLD AIR. THE VEHICLE THEN TOLD ME WHILE I WAS TRYING TO GET TO A SAFE LOCATION TO PULL OVER THAT THE ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED AND THE VEHICLE STATED TO CRAWL ALONG THE ROAD. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS LOOKED AT WHERE I PULLED OVER THERE WAS MINIMAL OIL IN THE VEHICLE AND IT HAD BLOW COOLANT ALL OVER THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL WELL FROM WHAT LOOKED LIKE THE OVERFLOW TUBE. OIL WAS PUT IN THE VEHICLE SO THAT I COULD DRIVE IT TO A SAFE LOCATION. ON NOVEMBER 18TH I WENT TO START THE VEHICLE TO GO TO WORK AND WITHOUT GOING ANY PLACE BUT SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY IT STARTED TO TELL ME THAT THE ENGINE WAS OVERHEATING AND TO TURN A/C OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE DEALERSHIP THAT I USE WORKED ON IT AND REPLACED THE TEMP CONTROL AND THERMOSTAT AND DID A COMPLETE OIL CHANGE. MANY OTHER EQUINOX OWNERS ARE HAVING SAME ISSUE
MY CHEVY EQUINOX LT HAS THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT ON. IT SAYS IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED BUT MY CAR DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE RECALL. I PURCHASED THIS CAR OFF OF SOMEONE, THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENT REPORTS. IT JUST SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. MY CAR ONLY HAS 98,000 MILES.IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE COVERED BY CHEVY.
WHILE DRIVING SUDDENLY STABLITRAK SERVICE LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. DOOR LOCKS START UNLOCKING AND LOCKING, ALL LIGHTS START FLASHING AND CAR SLOWS DOWN. AT THE SAME TIME STEERING WHEEL BECOMES VERY TIGHT AND UNABLE TO TURN. HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING ANY SPEED. HAVE HAD MANY VISITS TO MECHANICS: ECM REPLACED AND PROGRAMMED WAS THE LAST ATTEMPT PRIOR TO THAT I HAD A NEW STARTED PUT ON. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR CHEVROLET'S FROM MY RESEARCH. RECENTLY BOUGHT A USED 2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE LT AND I'M STARTED TO SEE THE SAME ISSUES AND I'VE ONLY HAD IT 1 WEEK. I'M VERY UPSET THESE MODELS AREN'T SAFE. TO MANY TIMES TO COUNT HOW MANY TIME IT'S HAPPENED MAYBE 30-40 IN 1 YEAR.

07 EQUINOX VEHICLE WOULDN'T START, KEY STUCK IN IGNITION. TRIED WIGGLING STEERING WHEEL WHICH WAS NOT LOCKED AND WOULD NOT LOCK. THE KEY WOULD NOT COME ALL THE WAY BACK IN ORDER TO GET IT OUT. CAR WAS IN PARK AT HOME THANK GOD. TRIED EVERYTHING I KNOW EVEN LOOKED IT UP ON GOOGLE. THERE WERE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ON THIS ABOUT 07 EQUINOX KEY STUCK AND SOME VEHICLES WOULD START AND LOTS MORE WOULDNT?? WE TRIED TO DO START BUT IT DID NOT TURN OVER. WE HAD TO PUT ON A CHARGER AND MONITOR THE BATTERY TO SEE IF IT WOULD CHARGE. LATER THAT NIGHT I TOOK THE VEHICLE OFF THE CHARGER AND TRIED IT AND IT STARTED. WENT AND HAD BATTERY CHECKED AT ADVANCE AUTO AND THEY SAID BATTERY HAS NO PROBLEMS FULLY CHARGED. HOW CAN THAT BE WHAT IS CAUSING THIS. I SEEN ONLINE MANY, MANY, COMPLAINTS ON THIS EQUINOX ISSUE AND IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. WHAT HAPPENS IF IT DECIDES TO JUST STOP WORKING ON THE INTERSTATE GOING 65-75 MPH. SOMEONE COULD GET SERIOUS INJURED KILLED IF THEY LOSE POWER ALL OF A SUDDEN. NO LIGHTS WERE LEFT ON, NOTHING WAS LEFT ON CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO DRAIN THE BATTERY ALL OF A SUDDEN. THE KEY WAS NOT LEFT IN THE VEHICLE I WENT TO START IT AND KEY STAYED STUCK IN IGNITION AND TURNED OVER BUT NOTHING NO POWER. IF YOU LOSE POWER DRIVING YOU LOSE POWER STEERING. POWER BRAKES, AND IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET VEHICLE TO A STOP. EVEN USING PARKING BRAKE WHICH MOST PEOPLE WOULD PANIC AND FORGET TO TRY N GET VEHICLE STOPPED AND CRASH INTO AND CARS OR PEDESTRIANS FOR THAT MATTER IF POWER GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. THIS NEED TO BE RECALLED AND FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. I HAD TO RECHARGE BATTERY MYSELF. IT CHECKED OUT AS GOOD BATTERY FULLY CHARGED? NO PREVIOUS INCIDENTS ON THIS MATTER THANK GOD. SHOULD RECALL ALL 07 EQUINOX AND HAVE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECKED.
The airbag on the passenger side of my 2007 Chevrolet Equinox LS. Has never worked correctly. I purchase my 2007 Chevrolet Equinox LS coming up on 2 year's ago. Since I purchased my car the passenger side air bag has never worked correctly. Sometimes it would turn on maybe 5% of the time I had a passenge. The 95% it doesn't come on and says service air bag. Now the service air bag is staying on. Chevrolet had a big recall on the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox for 2 or 3 problems with the passenger air bag. I can not afford to pay for this myself. I feel Chevrolet should pay for the fix. I am scared to drive my Equinox because I don't know if it is going to deploy while I'm driving. I had reported this on KKB more then once. I would greatly appreciate some information on how I can make Chevrolet pay for the fix. Thank you for your time
STRONG GAS SMELL FROM RIGHT REAR OF VEHICLE THAT SPREADS THROUGHOUT VEHICLE BOTH PARKED AND IN MOTION
WE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS SO MANY EQUINOX OWNERS ARE WITH PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SEAT SENSOR. THIS PROBLEM IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. WHY WAIT FOR MORE PEOPLE TO BE INJURED OR WORSE AND DEMAND GM ADDRESS THIS ISSUE ONCE AND FOR ALL.
MY 2007 CHEVY EQUINOX INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS BEEN ACTING UP HERE RECENTLY AND THE SPEEDOMETER GOES TO 120MPH AND STAYS THERE. YOU CAN'T TELL HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING. THAT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE GAS GAUGE N TEMPERATURE GAUGE WILL GO TO THE TOP LIKE FULL OR HOT OR NOT MOVE AT ALL. COULD BURN AN ENGINE UP OR RUN OUT OF GAS. RECALL WAS DONE I HEARD BUT NOT ON ALL 2007EQUINOX VEHICLES AND IT SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED ALL. THERE ARE A LOT STILL ON THE ROAD. I AM ASKING FOR SAFETY REASONS TO INCLUDE ALL 2007 CHEVY EQUINOX VEHICLES TO BE RECALLED AND FIXED BY GM. IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE REPAIRED AT A SHOP OR AT THE DEALER. IF I WAS ABLE TO DO MYSELF I WOULD BUT I'M NOT A MECHANIC OR DO I KNOW ELECTRICAL SO I'M NOT DOING IT. I WANT IT DONE BY A PROFESSIONAL AND I AM PLEADING THAT ALL 07 CHEVY EQUINOX VEHICLES BE INCLUDED AND A NEW RECALL BE SENT OUT TO ALL 2007 OWNERS. THAT IS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. NOT KNOWING THE SPEED YOU ATE GOING IS UNSAFE. IT GAS BEEN GOING ON NOW SINCE DECEMBER 2019 AND NOW ITS EVERYDAY. THE GAUGES MIGHT WORK ONE DAY THEN NOT WORK FOR 3 DAYS THEN WORK AGAIN FOR ONE DAY. IT NEEDS TO RECALLED ASAP. DOESN'T MATTER IF VEHICLE IS MOVING OR PARKED. IT WILL HO UP 120MPH AND STAY THERE FOR DAYS.
WE BOUGHT OUR SON THIS VEHICLE WHEN HE GOT HIS LICENSE BACK IN SEPT 2019. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT SENSOR ISN'T WORKING CAUSING THE PASSENGER AIR BAG TO NOT BE SAFELY ENGAGED. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE A RECALL AND REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. ALSO, THERE IS HARDLY ANY HEAT COMING FROM THE BLOWERS. WE HAD IT IN MULTIPLE TIMES BUT NOONE CAN FIGURE IT OUT. WE HAVE REPLACED: HEATER CORE, WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, RADIATOR, RESEVOIR. ECT..FLUSHED IT A MILLION TIMES AND HAD THE HEADS PRESSURE CHECKED, NOTHING WORKED. IT GETS VERY LITTLE HEAT WHEN IDLING, AND GIVES "LUKE WARM" HEAT WHEN RPMS INCREASE WHILE DRIVING. LAST WINTER MY SON COULD HARDLY KEEP HIS WINDSHIELD DEFROSTED/DEFOGGED AND ALMOST LOST VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING TO SCHOOL. NOT TO MENTION FREEZING TO DEATH WITH NO ADEQUATE HEAT. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE.

PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND WHEN SOMEONE IS SITTING IN PASSENGER SEAT THE AIRBAG DISPLAY ON DASH WILL GO ON AND OFF. THE SENSOR DOESN'T DETECT ALL THE TIME THAT A PASSENGER IS SITTING IN THE SEAT.

PURCHASED A USED 2007 CHEVROLET EQUINOX 6 HOURS AFTER PURCHASE, SERVICE AIRBAGS LIGHT, SERVICE T TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND GAGS GUAGE STOPPED WORKING..
THIS VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSEDLY REPAIRED IN A PREVIOUS RECALL, HOWEVER THE ISSUE WITH THE PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR PERSISTS. RECENTLY IT IS INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO GET THE SENSOR TO WORK FOR THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER, AND IT GOES ON AND OFF AS THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. EITHER THE REPAIR WAS NOT ADEQUATE TO COMPLETELY RESOLVE THE PROBLEM OR NOT ACTUALLY COMPLETED.
I HAD MY REAR BRAKES REPLACED AND THEN A WEEK LATER THE SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP I GOT MY BRAKES REPLACED AT AND THE LIGHT WENT OFF AND THEY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THE LIGHT WENT OFF AND ON INTERMITTENTLY FOR WEEKS AND THEN FINALLY TURNED OFF. NEXT I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF. I WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON, PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, AND TURN IT OFF AGAIN TO GET THE KEY OUT SOMETIMES SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW. NOW I DROVE MY CAR AND PARKED AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE AND THEN I TURNED IT ON A FEW HOURS LATER AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE IS BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. MY ISSUES ARE THE EXACT SAME AS MANY OTHER DRIVERS HAVE NOTED AND MY CAR IS NOT PART OF A RECALL, BUT THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILING WITH NO WARNING LIGHT MONTHS AFTER THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS FINE AND REPLACED BRAKES SEEMS ODD. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECT TO THE POWER STEERING IN THE EQUINOX THAT'S LEADING TO ERRATIC WARNING LIGHTS, KEY REMOVAL DIFFICULTIES, AND POWER STEERING SUDDENLY GOING OUT. CHEVY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING!
PURCHASED THE CAR USED WITH 115K MILES. THE FIRST SIGN OF AN ISSUE WAS THE SOUND OF WATER RUSHING TO THE HEATER CORE (AIR). CAR STARTED OVERHEATING A FEW WEEKS LATER AS THE OUTDOORS TEMPERATURE STARTED TO CLIMB IN LATE SPRING. I STARTED TO SEE WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE TAIL PIPE AND WAS HAVING TO ADD COOLANT EVERY OTHER DAY. THE ISSUE STARTED TO GET WORSE SO I TOOK IT TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED A HEAD GASKET FAILURE. THE ISSUE HAPPENS MORE FREQUENTLY ON HILLS, DURING HOT WEATHER AND WHILE STOPPED AT LIGHTS OR IN TRAFFIC. I TRIED TO USE A HEAD GASKET SEALANT WHICH WORKED FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND THEN THE CAR BEGAN TO OVERHEAT AGAIN. I CHECKED OUT SEVERAL FORUMS AND FIND THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE IN THIS VEHICLE DUE TO A POOR CHOSE OF HEAD GASKET WITH SOME ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT TYPES. HEAD GASKET REPLACEMENT IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY A RECALL. THE RADIATOR HOSES ARE OVER PRESSURIZING AND WILL CAUSE RUPTURES WHICH WILL END UP BURNING SOMEONE SEVERELY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. IN ADDITION, THE STABILITRAK CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE INTERMITTENT ELECTRONIC DISCONNECTION WAS IN THE STEERING COLUMN AND THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO WARRANTIES OR RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.

THIS VEHICLE IS ONE OF SEVERAL THAT HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH WHEEL SPEED AND PSI SENSORS, WHICH THEN CAUSES THE TRACTION CONTROL TO BELIEVE COMPUTER WISE IT HAS NO TRACTION, THEREFORE THE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND THE COMPUTER SOMETIMES SHUT THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF WHEN IT NEEDS TO BE ON. IT ALSO HAS AIRBAG TROUBLE WITH THE PASSENGER SEAT, ALSO LIKE THE RECALL. HOWEVER, DESPITE THE FACT 2007'S WERE ISSUED THIS RECALL, IT'S SAYING MY 'VIN' DOES APPLY TO THESE RECALLS. FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE WHEN THESE THINGS ARE MESSED UP. JUST WANT GM MOTORS TO AWKNOWLEDGE IT'S POSSIBLE THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS MISMANUFACTURED.
GASOLINE LEAK/FIRE HAZARD, CHARACTERISTIC OF THE 2012 RECALL OF EXACT MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR FOR SPECIFIC VEHICLES SOLD OR REGISTERED IN CERTAIN STATES. MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING SAME EXACT ISSUE AS PRECIOUS RECALL WITH GASOLINE ODOR/LEAK.
MY DAUGHTERS 2007 EQUINOX , HAS THE WELL KNOWN, PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR FAILURE PROBLEM. IN.CASE OF AN ACCIDENT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY. THIS IS AN $800 +/- FIX. SEVERAL THOUSAND EQUINOX, TORRENT, SATURN AND OTHER GM CARS BUILT ON THIS PLATFORM ARE AFFECTED. SEVERAL MODEL YEARS SUFFER FROM THIS AILMENT. "FAILURE OF THE AIR BAG TO DEPLOY CAN RESULT IN INCREASED INJURIES OR DEATH." THE SATURN SKY AND PONTIAC SOLSTICE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND IT WAS CORRECTED RECENTLY UNDER RECALL. IT IS MY OPINION THAT THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE RECALLED AND THIS PROBLEM CORRECTED.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S A TAKATA INFLATOR, BUT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE 2007 CHEVY EQUINOX, BUT, FOR SOME REASON THE RECALL DID NOT HAVE MY WIFE'S CAR'S VIN # REGARDING THIS RECALL. SO, HER CAR DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE! WHAT I'M UPSET ABOUT IS, THAT SHE HAS LOW MILEAGE ON HER CAR, AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, JUST RECENTLY, AND IT'S THE SAME MODEL AND YEAR, REGARDING THE RECALL, THAT DID NOT INVOLVE HER CAR! I WAS TOLD BY GM, THAT BECAUSE HER VIN # WAS NOT "IN" THE RECALL, THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO, BUT IF I WANTED TO, BECAUSE IT'S A SAFETY PROBLEM, THAT I COULD CONTACT YOU! PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR DOES NOT REGISTER WITH AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE. BROUGHT IT TO CHEVY FOR REPAIR. 600 BUCKS LATER AND A NEW SENSOR, AIRBAG STILL ISN'T RESPONDING. CHEVY TELLS ME I NEED A NEW AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE FOR 700 BUCKS, HAD ALREADY SPENT 1300 ON THAT VISIT. AIRBAG DOES NOT REGISTER PASSENGER, COMPUTER WILL NOT RESET AND SYNC WITH CONTROL MODULE. THIS SHOULDN'T REQUIRE THE ENTIRE MODULE TO BE REPLACED, NOR SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS SINCE THIS I'VE HEARD/READ NUMEROUS CASES ALL DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE ON THE SAME MODEL AND APPARENTLY GM REFUSES TO RECALL (ASIDE FROM THE AIRBAG REPROGRAM WHEN IT FIRST RELEASED) HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM A DEALER, WHO SAID THEY FIXED IT BEFORE I PICKED IT UP. DOES WORK INTERMITTENTLY, WHEN A LARGER PERSON SITS THERE, AIR BAG DOES REGISTER.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEACON JONES AUTO GROUP (1115 NORTH BRIGHT LEAF BLVD, SMITHFIELD, NC 27577) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAD GASKET AND HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 212,998.

THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUSTAINED AN ABRASION TO THE NECK THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (JD BYRIDER, 20941 EUCLID AVE, EUCLID OH) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
"TAKATA RECALL" STABILITY TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHTS. NO WARNING FOR BRAKE PROBLEM. THE BRAKES LOCKED UP AND WOULDN'T STOP OR SLOW THE CAR BEFORE ENTERING A CURVE ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY.
AS MANY OTHERS, I NOW HAVE A LEAKING FUEL SENDING UNIT ON OUR 2007 CHEVY EQUINOX. MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM AND CHEVY CHOOSES NOT TO ADDRESS IT FOR US BY ISSUING A RECALL. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING THE FUEL SYSTEM IS PRESSURIZED WHICH CAUSES FUEL TO SPRAY OUT OF A FAULTY JOINT WHICH IS MADE OF PLASTIC THAT CRACKS, THE FUEL THEN DRIPS DOWN FROM THE TANK AS IT PLEASES AROUND THE EXHAUST AND ON TO THE FLOOR.
