I PUT THE CAR IN GEAR, I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL AND THE RPMS REV UP BUT MY CAR DOES NOT MOVE
ORIGINAL RECALL 09 V4 89000 WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE FIXED VISIBILITY ISSUE. CAR WAS TAKEN IN AT THE TIME OF THE ORIGINAL RECALL. THE VEHICLE IS SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS BEFORE WHERE DEFROSTER IS NO LONGER WORKING BECAUSE OF CONTROLS NOT FUNCTIONING. RADIO IS ALSO OUT ALONG WITH POSSIBLE OTHER UNKNOWN ELECTRICAL ISSUES. WE'VE TURN THE CAR ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES HOPING IT WAS JUST A GLITCH, HOWEVER IT APPEARS THE PROBLEMS OF THE FIRST RECALL ARE BACK AGAIN. DRIVING THE VEHICLE POSE A THREAT HAS WE LIVE IN WEATHER WE'RE HAVING TO HAVE CONTROL OVER THE DEFROSTING IS NEEDED. DEFROSTER AND PANEL DO NOT WORK BECAUSE OF LACK OF ELECTRICAL CONTROL. MY WORRY IS THAT THIS IS SYSTEMIC, THE THE ISSUE IS REOCCURRING, EVERY SO YEARS OR SO, THAT OTHER ISSUES WILL CONTINUALLY MAKE THIS AN ISSUE IN THE FUTURE.
I WAS DRIVING TO THE STORE IN THE RAIN AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE WIPER STOPPED WORKING. MY SON REPLACED THE BUSHINGS, THEN ON MY WAY INTO WORK IN THE RAIN BOTH STOPPED WORKING I TOOK IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND THEY TELL ME IT IS THE WIPER TRANSMISSION AND THE TRANSMISSION LINKAGE. THERE IS A RECALL IN THE US FOR 2013 BUT THERE NEEDS TO BE FOR 2010-2013 LIKE CANADA HAS. THIS DANGEROUS
AS DRIVING NOV 19, 2018. THE CAR STALLED, ENGINE PROBLEM, MY HUSBAND HAD TO PUSH ACROSS THREE LANES OF TRAFFICS ! ALMOST GOT RUN DOWN . FOR NO REASON THE CAR JUST STOPPED RUNNING! WE WERE PUTTING ONE QUART OF OIL PER WEEK?? IN BETWEEN REGULAR OIL CHANGES. THE CAR WAS TOWED, OUR MECHANIC TOLD US ENGIN SEIZED, NEEDED A NEW ENGINE?? WE STILL OWE 3700 ON THE CAR AND IT DOESN'T RUN?? I'M SO MAD THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR AND MODEL?? GM OWES US A NEW CAR!!
CAR JUST SHUTS OFF WHEN ON FREE WAY DOING 70 OR AT STOP LIGHT THEN MESSAGE CENTER SAYS STABILITY TRACK CONTROL THEN IT MAY SIT FOR 5 MIN AND THEN RESTART OR MAY REQUIRE A JUMP START PUT IN NEW BATTERY AND HAD ALTERNATOR TESTED VERY UNSAFE AUTOMOBILE
I HAVE SPENT MORE THAN 10K ON REPAIRS ON MY CAR DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEMS. THAT INCLUDES A REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER, PLUS OTHER REPAIRS WHILE THEY TRIED TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE ENGINE. I AM PART OF THE CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT AND I HAVE PROVIDED ALL DOCUMENTS TO THE SETTLER AND MY CLAIM HAS BEEN DENIED. NEVER BUYING A GM VEHICLE AGAIN.
I HAVE HAD TWO INCIDENTS OF WIPER FAILURE ON MY USED 2010 CHEVY EQUINOX. I JUST PURCHASED MY USED EQUINOX THE END OF AUGUST 2018. IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE, I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 95 IN MARYLAND, AND THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING DURING A RAIN INCIDENT. FORTUNATELY I MADE IT HOME. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND THEY SAID THEY REPAIRED THE BUSHINGS ON THE LINKAGE. THE 2ND INCIDENT HAPPENED IN NOVEMBER OF 2018 DURING A SNOW INCIDENT. MY WIFE WAS USING THE EQUINOX TO DRIVE TO THE BANK. IT WAS SNOWING AND SHE WAS USING THE WIPERS. AGAIN THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING! SHE WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME AND PARK IT SAFELY IN THE DRIVEWAY. WHEN SHE BROUGHT IT HOME, I WAS ABLE TO HEAR THE WIPER MOTOR WORKING, BUT THE ARMS WERE NOT MOVING. WE HAVE NOT USED THE VEHICLE SINCE THIS LAST INCIDENT HAPPENED. WE HAVE HAD TWO WIPER LINKAGE FAILURE INCIDENTS IN APPROX. 3 MONTHS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE WOULD HAVE DONE IF WE WERE ON A LONG FAMILY TRIP. IT IS VERY SCARY WHEN YOUR WIPERS STOP WORKING AND YOU CANNOT SEE THE ROAD YOU ARE DRIVING ON, OR TRAFFIC AROUND YOU.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY DECELERATED TO 15 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS MORE PREVALENT DURING THE COLDER MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE JERKED VIOLENTLY WHILE DRIVING AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY INJECTOR NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 168,000.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN A 4 LANE HIGHWAY, I SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND THE ENGINE STARTED CLATTERING. I LIMPED TO THE NEAREST EXIT, AND THAT IS WHERE THE CAR DIED. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST TOWN, AND THEN WE PUT IT ON A TRAILER AND TOOK IT TO OUR MECHANIC. HE SAID THAT IT HAD BLOWN A ROD IN THE ENGINE, AND THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED FOR $6000+. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS AT ALL. I HAD BEEN MONITORING THE OIL LEVEL BECAUSE I KNEW I WAS GETTING CLOSER TO A NEEDED OIL CHANGE. EVEN AFTER THIS HAPPENED, WE STARTED IT TO DRIVE IT ON AND OFF THE TRAILER, AND THERE WAS STILL NO OIL LIGHT!!! ALL RECALLS HAD BEEN DONE. AS WE HAD A 100,000 WARRANTY, IT WAS GONE THROUGH VERY CLOSELY BEFORE THAT EXPIRED.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING IN RAIN STORM ON TOLL ROAD AT HIGH SPEED. HAD TO KEEP DRIVING WITH VERY LIMITED VISION. DID NOT WANT TO STOP ON TOLL ROAD. THE ARM FROM WITH WIPER TRANSMISSION CAME OFF THE MOTOR WHEEL THAT SPINS.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING DURING A DOWNPOUR ON A 6 LANE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT. WIPER WAS OFF THE SIDE OF THE DRIVERS WINDOW, WAS ABLE TO PUSH THEM BACK INTO PLACE, AND YOU CAN HEAR THE WIPER MOTOR RUNNING, THE SPRAY STILL WORKED AND THE BACK WIPER BUT THE FRONT WIPERS WILL NOT MOVE. THIS WAS A VERY SCARY SITUATION, EVEN MORE AO THAT MY 6 YEAR OKD WAS IN THE XAR WITH ME. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD.
SABILITRAK, POWERTRAIN, THROTTLE CAME ON AGAIN PAID $457.90 1/25/2016. AC & HEATING UNIT NOT WORKING CLICKING SOUND REPLACED 8/26/2015, KEY IS STUCK IN IGNITION, NO LIGHTS, CAR NOT MOBILE (NOW).
THIS SUV HAS HAD A NEW TRANSMISSION, MOTOR AND NOW IT HAS BEEN JUST CUTS OUT AND NO POWER AND ON THE MESSAGE CENTER SAYS STABILITY TRACK LIGHT WE HAVE PUT A NEW BATTERY AND BROUGHT IT TO TWO DIFFERENT GM CERTIFIED CAR GARAGES AND NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO CAR IS UNSAFE WHEN IT JUST DECIDES TO RANDOMLY STALL OUT AND HAS NO POWER UNTIL AFTER IT SITS FOR ABOUT 5 MIN IT MAY RESTART OR MAY NEED A JUMP START VERY SCARY SITUATION IT CAN HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING ON FREEWAY OR IN TOWN OR EVEN IN LINE A DRIVE THRU LINE IN PARK YOU NEVER KNOW THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 6-8 TIMES AND THERE IS NO WARNING OF WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN NOR ANY KIND OF PATTERN VERY SCARY AND UNSAFE
I RECENTLY BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USE IT WAS WONDERING WHY THE OWNER GOT RID OF IT NOW I KNOW. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WITH THE HILL ASSIST ON THIS VEHICLE AND I HAVE SEEN COMPLAINTS ON THE FORM THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOT KNOWN WHAT IT WAS. THE PROBLEM I'M HAVING IS WHEN THE HILL ASSIAT ENGAGE'S IT WILL NOT DISENGAGE LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO. I ACTUALLY HAD TO HAVE A MECHANIC RESET THE WHOLE COMPUTER TO GET IT TO DISENGAGE THE OTHER DAY AND REMOVE THE BATTERY TERMINAL TODAY TO GET A DISENGAGED. I EVEN CALLED THE DEALER TODAY AT THEY WEREN'T AWARE OF ANY PROBLEMS THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT CONVENIENT. SEVERAL MECHANICS KNOW BUT THE DEALER DOESN'T WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED. I'VE ALREADY DIAGNOSED IT, I JUST WANT TOKNOW WHAT THE FIX IS. ACCORDING TO EVERY MECHANIC OF SPOKE TO ITS IN THE COMPUTER PROGRAMMING AND THERE IS NO FIX. I WILL HAVE ON THIS VEHICLE FOR WEEKS AND IT'S ALREADY HAPPENED TO ME 5 TIMES.
EVEN WHEN MY SEATBELTS ARE CONNECTED THE WARNING CHIMES CONTINUE TO GO OFF. DURING MOTION, ON A CITY STREET AND EVEN ON THE HIGHWAY IT PERIODICALLY MAKES THE SOUND AS IF THE SEATBELT IS NOT CONNECTED.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE OF THE 3,5,R WAVE PLATE. COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR MAKE AND MODEL, TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE WIFE WAS HEADING TO WORK, BROKE DOWN IN BUSY INTERSECTION. GM WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE COMMON PROBLEM
THE ARM/LINKAGE OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPER TRANSMISSION BROKE CAUSING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS TO STOP WORKING. HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET.
OIL COMSUMPTION, ABS LIGHT WANT GO OFF. STABLEIZER TRACK LIGHT WANT GO OFF AND THE DASHBOARD LIGHT WARNING WITH THE CAR AND THE WIGGLE LINES WNAT GO OFF. NOW MY DASHBORAD BRAKE LIGHT IS ON. EVERY TIME I START THE CAR UP ALL THESE LIGHTS COME ON AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. I HAVE HAD IT CODED BUT NOTHING COMES UP. AND MY IGNITION IS STARTING TO SLIP WHEN I CRANK IT . IT DOES NOT MATTER IF I AM MOVING OR NOT THE LIGHTS STILL STAY ON.

THE FAILURE CAUSED A VISIBILITY HAZARD FOR THE DRIVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (KRING CHEVROLET, 1861 N. US-31, PETOSKEY, MI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
9/24/2018 POURING RAIN MY WIPERS STOPPED ON I75 IN TENNESSEE. SCARIEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE TIME. WAS ABLE TO GET TO A DEALER IN CLEVELAND TN. $432 TRANSMISSION WIPER FAILED. I AM NOW SEEING OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE.
THE VEHICLE HAS HAD HARD SHIFTING EVER SINCE I GOT IT AND THE OTHER DAY IN TOWN IT WAS NOT SHIFTING RIGHT AT ALL. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I'M STUCK IN SECOND GEAR. NO REVERSE, COULDN'T MANUALLY SHIFT I'M JUST STUCK IN SECOND. I COULD PUT THE CAR IN PARK SO I STOP AT A GROCERY STORE TO CHECK MY TRANSMISSION FLUID AND THERE WAS NO DIPSTICK WHAT THE HECK.SO I PUT MY FLASHERS ON AND DRIVE IN SECOND GEAR TO MY WIFES GRANDMOTHERS AND PARK IT. WHEN I GET HOME I RESEARCH AND I'VE COME UP WITH A WAVE PLATE CAUSING MY PROBLEM.
I REPLACED THE TIMING CHAIN IN JUNE AT MY MECHANIC...I DID NOT GO TO A DEALER BECAUSE I COULD NOT AFFORD THE $2000 THEY WERE ASKING TO FIX IT. IT IS NOW THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER AND I AM REPLACING THE TIMING CHAIN AGAIN. WHY AM I READING THIS WEBSITE AND SEEING THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE EQUINOX TIMING CHAIN AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE BY GM. THEY SHOULD RECEIVE CONSEQUENCES FOR A FAULTY PRODUCT. I CALLED THEM TO ASK WHY THERE WAS NOT A RECALL WHEN THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME ISSUE. THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND WOULD NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE.
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE OVER EXTENDING.
WAS DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY AND HAD TO PULL OVER FOR A POLICE OFFICER TO PASS BY, WENT TO ACCELERATE AND WAS STUCK IN 2ND GEAR. LATER FOUND THAT ONLY 1ST AND 2ND GEAR WORKED AND HAD NO REVERSE. WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD NEED A COMPLETE REBUILD OF THE TRANSMISSION.
WHILE DRIVING DURING A RAINSTORM THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. CHECKED THE FUSES, BUT ALL FUSES WERE GOOD. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID WAS WORKING BUT NOT THE WIPERS THEMSELVES. AFTER GETTING THE VEHICLE BACK HOME TOOK A LOOK AT THE WIPER ASSEMBLY AND ONE OF THE BUSHINGS BROKE OFF. HAD TO REPLACE THE BUSHING TO GET THE WIPERS TO WORK AGAIN.
INSTRUMENT COMPUTER MAILFUCTIONIN. LIGHT AND CONTROLS STOP WORKING AND NOTHING ON RADIO LIGHTS UP. RADIO SCREEN AND AC/HEAT CONTROLS NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. CHECKED THERE WAS A RECALL PREVIOUSLY.
WIPERS STOPPED WORKING DUE TO A WORN BALL JOINT ON WIPER MOTOR. IT DOES SHOW A RECALL FOR NEWER ONES BUT NOT FOR THE 2010 YEAR. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A STATE HIGHWAY ALMOST CAUSED DRIVER TO RUN INTO THE DITCH, HEAVY RAIN.
MY IGNITION WHEN I TUEN MY KEY BACK TO TURN OFF MY CAR IT TRIES TO START BACK UP AGAIN BY ITSELF IT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 7 OR 8 TIMES NOW. I HAVE BEEN ASKING AROUND WHAT THAT COOLD BE AND I GET IN RESPONSE THAT IT COULD BE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OR THE IGNITION. AND I STILL HAVE 3 YRS TO PAY FOR THIS CAR

AFTER SOME TIME, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION; HOWEVER, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ORANGE BUICK GMC (3883 W COLONIAL DR, ORLANDO, FL 32808, (407) 295-8100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,274.
VEHICLE BEGAN EXPERIENCING STALLING OUT. DETERMINED TO BE CAUSED BY METAL SHAVINGS IN ENGINE. THE ONLY PRIOR ENGINE WORK ON THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN DONE BY CHEVROLET TO ADDRESS A RECALL IN 2013 FOR HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION. THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT IN DECEMBER OF 2013. NO OTHER WORK WAS DONE TO THE ENGINE. THE REPAIR FOR THIS ISSUE WAS REPLACEMENT OF THE ENGINE.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK. IT STARTED TO RAIN, SO I TURNED ON THE WIPERS, AND THEY SWIPED A FEW TIMES AND STUCK IN THE UPWARD LEFT POSITION AND STOPPED. I WAS ON A STATE HIGHWAY, AT THE TIME, AND FOUND IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE TO DRIVE. THE WIPERS HAVE NOT WORKED SINCE THAT DAY. UPON CHECKING ONLINE, I'VE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND HAPPENS TO OTHERS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY IT HAPPENED WITH MY WIPERS. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CANADIAN MODEL FOR 2013, BUT HAVE NOT FOUND ONE FOR 2010 AND THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON ALL OF THE WIPERS FOR THIS MODEL. THE ARMS ON THE TRANSMISSION COME APART AND STOPS THE WIPERS FROM WORKING. NO WARNING......THEY JUST STOP. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. AND TO ADD TO THE PROBLEM...... TO REPAIR IT, THE MORE APPROPRIATE OPTION IS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION/MOTOR ASSEMBLY AND THAT PART IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, AROUND $300. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL BY CHEVY, AS IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND CAN CAUSE TERRIBLE ACCIDENTS IN THE BLINDING RAIN. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
1. TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. 2. ENGINE CONSUMES ALL OIL WITHIN 3,000 MILES.
THE HEAT AND AIR WILL NOT WORK FOR LONG AND SHORT PERIODS OF TIME. THERE IS A TICKING SOUND, BUT THE HEAT OR AIR WON'T WORK. PERIODICALLY THE SCREEN OF THE RADIO WILL GO OFF AND REMAIN THAT WAY UNTIL THE HEAT OR AIR DECIDES TO WORK AGAIN. IT'S HARD TO DRIVE IN THE RAIN, AND I WILL HAVE TO ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN TO CLEAR THE FOG FROM THE WINDSHIELD. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES SUDDENLY STOPPED OPERATING. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE BALL JOINTS INSIDE THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MODULE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (LIBERTYVILLE CHEVROLET, 1001 S. MILWAUKEE, LIBERTYVILLE, IL) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.

NEW HOLLAND AUTO GROUP (508 W MAIN ST, NEW HOLLAND, PA 17557, (877) 217-8936) WAS CONTACTED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000.

VEHICLE HESITATES TO ACCELERATE WHILE TRYING TO TAKE OFF AFTER BEING STOPPED. I HAVE TO CHANGE THE OIL EVERY THREE WEEKS AND BY A WEEK AND HALF THE OIL IS 1/4 LESS AND REALLY DARK. THERE'S NO VISIBLE LEAKS OR OIL STAINS ON THE DRIVE WAY.
WIPERS SPONTANEOUSLY STOPPED WORKING. MOTOR CONTINUED BUT CONNECTION ASSEMBLY DETERIORATED AND FELL APART. HAD TO REPLACE ENTIRE MOTOR WIPER ASSEMBLY UNIT. THIS OCCURRED IN JUNE OF 2018.
HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION AND LOUD UNKNOWN NOISE FROM ENGINE. THE ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE IT IS GOING TO COME APART WHEN STARTED AND DURING ACCELERATION. THE MILEAGE ON THE CAR IS " 91860 ". THE DEALER PERFORMED AN OIL CONSUMPTION REPORT LAST MAY. SAID THAT IT WAS WITHIN THE REQUIREMENTS SET BY CHEVROLET. ENGINE NOISE HAS INCREASED. I DO NOT FEEL THAT IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS.
WHILE DRIVING DEFROSTERS & RADIO QUIT WORKING AND HAD TO STOP BECAUSE WINDSHIELD FOGGED UP AND CANNOT SEE. SHUT OFF CAR AND WAITED 10 MINUTES OR SO AND STARTED BACK UP AND WORKED FINE, ABOUT A COUPLE WEEKS AGO SAME THING AGAIN DEFROST STOPPED WORKING WITH RADIO AND HAD TO STOP AGAIN. KNOWN ISSUE BUT NOT ON RECALL LIST.

THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED, AND WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, PULLED ONTO A STREET AND PUT THE CAR INTO PARK. ATTEMPTED AGAIN AND THE CAR SLOWLY DROVE. ANOTHER INCIDENT, MY SON WAS DRIVING AND HE SAID IT JUST "WOULDN'T DRIVE", LUCKILY HE WAS NEAR A RELATIVES HOUSE AND PULLED INTO THE DRIVE. HE ATTEMPTED TO MOVE THE CAR AND PUT IT INTO REVERSE AND IT WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. THE CAR IS NOW AT A CHEVY DEALER. NOW THIS MAY NOT BE DEEMED A "SAFETY ISSUE", BUT WHAT IS THE ISSUE, THE CAR ONLY HAS 65,000 AND WE ARE BEING TOLD BY CHEVY THAT THE CAR NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. AT WHAT POINT CAN A NON-SAFETY ISSUE BE DEEMED A RECALL. APPARENTLY THERE IS A BULLETIN REGARDING THE CHEVY EQUINOX 2010, MANY MANY COMPLAINTS, AND CHEVY WILL NOT REPAIR THEM. WHAT CAN BE DONE?
THE VEHICLE IS BURNING OIL OUT BEFORE THE GIVEN MILEAGE CAUSING THE ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON LOUD KNOCKING IN THE ENGINE SMOKE
CODE P0300- CYLINDER #4 MISFIRE, EXTREME BLOW BY FROM INTERNAL FAILURE. WENT INTO COMPLETE SHUTDOWN ON HIGHWAY
I HAVE BOUGHT THIS CAR MAY 23RD 2018. THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED REPLACING AND LIGHT STILL WILL NOT GO OFF AND CODE WILL NOT DELETE, THE O2 SENSORS KEEP GOING OUT (3 TIMES ALREADY) AND THE CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR SOLENOID VALVE HAS BEEN REPLACED 5 TIMES IN 11 MONTHS. THE OIL CONSUMPTION IS INSANE, I CANNOT MAKE IT TO THE OIL NOTIFICATION THE CAR GIVES ME, WITHOUT PUTTING 3 QTS OF OIL , BEFORE THE NOTIFICATION RECOMMENDS. I HAVE NO OIL LEAK!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BALLAS BUICK GMC (5715 CENTRAL AVE, TOLEDO, OH 43615, (567) 202-1198) WHERE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE REPAIRED, BUT THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF THE DIAGNOSIS. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO FUNCTION AT THE HIGHEST SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
OIL BURNING WHICH LEADS TO A OIL CHANGE ALMOST 1500 MILES WITH TOP OFF SERVICE BETWEEN CHANGES. THEN SHAKING OF ENGINE WHILE IN IDLE AND WHILE ACCELERATING.
MY TRANSMISSION STARTED SHIFTING HARD LAST WEEK & I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO BE TOLD MY TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME I CAN DRIVE IT UNTIL THAT HAPPENS BUT I MAY LOOSE POWER & THE VEHICLE MAY STALL OR COMPLETELY DIE WHILE I'M DRIVING. I WAS TOLD IF THAT HAPPENS TO RE-START THE VEHICLE AND I SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE OFF AGAIN. THIS IS SCARY TO SAY THE LEAST & I'VE FOUND SEVERAL HUNDRED OTHER CONSUMERS ARE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUES. MANY OF THEM HAVE HAD FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS REPLACED BUT ARE EXPERIENCING RE-OCCURRING FAILURE DUE TO WHAT'S BELIEVED TO BE DEFECTIVE PARTS BEING USED BY CHEVY/GM. SEVERAL CONSUMERS DIDN'T HAVE ANY INDICATION THE TRANSMISSIONS WERE FAILING & IT DID HAPPEN WHILE THEY WERE DRIVING PUTTING THEM @ RISK & CREATING DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. I WAS QUOTED $4560 FOR THIS REPAIR BUT WITH NO GUARANTEE A NEW TRANSMISSION WILL NOT GO OUT THE SAME WAY THIS ONE IS. THE PROBLEMS I'VE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE HAVE ALL MADE ME AFRAID TO DRIVE IT B/C I DON'T FEEL SAFE BUT THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST WORRISOME. CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS & HELP US? WE REALLY NEED TO KNOW IF THE "NEW TRANSMISSIONS" WILL BE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. GM SEEMS TO BE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE BUT REMARKS THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO ISSUE RECALLS. THANK YOU!
