MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WILL GO OFF SAYING IT IS NOT WORKING EVEN WHEN PEOPLE ARE SITTING IN IT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND SHOULD BE A COVERED COST AT GM SHOULD REPAIR AND NOT THE CONSUMER
CAR WAS RUNNING AND DRIVING IN THE RAIN GOING ABOUT 30 MPH ON RESIDENTIAL ROAD AND THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. THE MOTOR SOUNDS LIKE IT IS RUNNING BUT WIPERS DON'T MOVE. I CAN MOVE THE WIPERS FREELY WITH MY HAND. I BELIEVE THE WIPER TRANSMISSION ARMS HAVE BECOME DISCONNECTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINKAGE ASSEMBLY HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. *BF CONSUMER STATED MANUFACTURE BELIEVES PART WAS DEFECTIVE.*JB
IT STARTED RAINING HERE IN CHICAGO SO I TURNED MY WIPERS ON. NOTHING HAPPENED... I HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE EXPRESS WAY BECAUSE I COULDN'T SEE. I COULD HEAR THE WIPERS BUT THEY WEREN'T MOVING. I HAD TO WAIT 2 HOURS FOR IT TO STOP RAINING. I COULDN'T SEE BECAUSE OF THIS. THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR MY HUSBAND'S 2014 EQUINOX SO HE DRIVES MY CAR BUT NOW, NEITHER BLADES WORK PROPERLY. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE $400
TURNED THE WIPERS ON FULL SPEED DURING A DOWNPOUR AND THEY JUST STOPPED WORKING. LUCKY TO SURVIVE ON THE INTERSTATE, PULLED TO THE SHOULDER I THINK AS I COULD NOT SEE.
GOING DOWN THE ROAD IN POURING RAIN AND WIPERS QUIT WORKING. THEY HAVE A TERRIBLE BUSHING THAT POPS OFF AND IS AN EXTREME SAFETY CONCERN.
OCTOBER 23 2020 APPROXIMATELY 1530 HOURS ON THE INTERSTATE 69 WHILE DRIVING IN THE POURING RAIN WITH WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON HIGH SPEED THEY (FAILED) STOPPED WIPING. I FINALLY PULLED OVER AT A GAS STATION (AFTER THE RAIN STOPPED) PULLED UNDER THE CANOPY AND A MAN (IN HIS 40S) APPROACHED ME AND ASKED; DID YOUR WIPERS QUIT RUNNING? ME; YES HIM; MINE QUIT IN THIS RAIN ALSO, THAT'S WHY I PULLED IN HERE, I OWN THAT EQUINOX RIGHT THEIR. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATING THE PROBLEM; ( YOU CAN HEAR THE WIPER MOTOR (GM84241847) STILL RUNNING BUT NOT WIPING.( WE BOTH HAD THE SAME PROBLEM) I GOT HOME, UPON FURTHER INSPECTION. (I FOUND THE NYLON NUT ON THE AGITATING ARM HAS COME OFF / LACK OF TERMINOLOGY) I SNAPPED THE NYLON NUT BACK ON AND THE WIPERS WORKED AS NORMAL. (THIS NYLON PART IS NOT WORN OUT OR BROKEN) I HAVE REPLACED THE PART (GM84241847) FOR PEACE OF MIND AND SAFETY REASONS. I'M A 68 YEAR OLD MAN I HAVE OVER A MILLION MILES OF DRIVING ON THIS INTERSTATE, THE 20 SECONDS MY WIFE AND I EXPERIENCED WAS PURELY TERRIFYING. THE THING THAT SCARES ME THE MOST IS; (ONE OF MY KIDS OR GRANDCHILDREN COULD HAVE BEEN IN THIS SITUTATION / OR YOURS) LESS EXPERIENCE DRIVER.
I WAS DRIVING HOME IN THE EVENING HOURS AND IT WAS POURING DOWN RAIN. WITHOUT WARNING, MY WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AND I COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING. IT WAS LIKE A CURTAIN WAS OVER THE WINDSHIELD. I IMMEDIATELY BRAKED AND SLOWED DOWN AND MADE IT TO A PLACE WHERE I COULD PULL OVER. A 20 MINUTE RIDE TOOK ME 1 1/2 HOURS TO MAKE BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND ON OCTOBER 27, 2020, I WAS TOLD THAT THE WIPER MODULE WAS REPLACED.
ON OCTOBER 16, 2020 I WAS PARKED AT WALMART GETTIN READY TO TURN ON MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND DRIVE MY DAUGHTER AND I HOME UNTIL WHEN I TURNED ON MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS THEY WOULDN'T WORK. SO I THEN WENT BACK INSIDE FOR SOME RAIN-X (WHICH DIDN'T HELP MUCH CUZ IT WAS RAINING AND RAIN-X IS SUPPOSED TO BE APPLIED TO A DRY WINDSHIELD) JUST SO I COULD GET US AND OUR GROCERIES HOME. THANK THE LORD WE MADE IT HOME SAFE, GROCERIES IN TACT!!! FOR THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS....I CHANGE MY FLUIDS ON A REGULAR BASIS YET EVERY WEEK FOR THE PAST BOUT 8 MONTHS NOW AS I SLOW DOWN GOING UPHILL TO PULL INTO MY FATHER IN LAW'S DRIVEWAY THE TRANSMISSION JERKS. THERE'S 89,234 MILES ON MY 2015 CHEVY EQUINOX, I'VE BEEN DRIVING IT SINCE IT HAD A LITTLE OVER 66,000 MILES ON IT.
I WAS DRIVING ALONG A HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH IN THE RAIN AND WIPERS STOPPED ABRUPTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF MY WINDSHIELD. I PULLED OVER AS SOON AS I COULD AS I COULD NOT SEE WHERE I WAS GOING. I CHECKED THE WIPERS AND MANUALLY PUT THEM DOWN. THERE WAS NO RESISTANCE TO THE WIPER AT ALL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS THING TO HAVE HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND SUDDENLY HAVE NO WIPERS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL AS I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ON YOUR WEBSITE.
I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING HOME FROM WORK IN THE POURING RAIN WITH SEMI TRUCKS ON THE ROAD, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS JUST STOPPED.
I WAS DRIVING WITH MY GRAND DAUGHTER IN THE BACK SEAT AND THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS IT WAS RAINING VERY HARD AND I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING I WAS DRIVING ON GRAND CENTRAL PARKWAY COMING FROM THE AIRPORT
PLASTIC BUSHINGS USED TO HOLD WIPER ARM LINKAGE CONTINUES TO BREAK LOOSE. HAVE REPAIRED SEVERAL TIMES WITH PARTS AVAILABLE IN PART STORES. THIS DESIGN IS VERY POOR AND IS VERY DANGEROUS AS YOU CAN IMAGINE WHEN RAINING. THESE CONTINUE TO POP LOOSE OR BREAK. I WOULD CONTINUE TO HATE TO HAVE THIS GO OUT ON MY WIFE AND KIDS!!
My wipers failed on a trip to Syracuse traveling down the thruway it was raining and the wipers just quit , i had to leave my car overnight at a thruway stop and i paid to have them repaired , I was so annoyed i feel i should be reimbursed from GM for this. Thank God a stop was nearby it was a safety issue

I WAS DRIVING HOME IN THE RAIN AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTED RAINING HARDER. I TURN MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON HIGH, NEXT THING I NOTICED, THEY QUIT WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. SCARIEST DAY OF MY LIFE. I PULLED OVER AND NOTICE THEY WERE HALFWAY OFF MY WINDSHIELD

WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING DURING A RAIN STORM WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND WILL NOT TURN ON
THE BUSHINGS THAT CONNECT THE WIPER BLADES TO THE MOTOR HAVE BROKEN 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS DURING A RAINSTORM CAUSING ME DELAYS IN DRIVING DUE TO LOSS OF VISIBILITY. ALL 3 TIMES I WAS NOT GOING MORE THAN 60 MPH. THIS IS ABSURD.
THE ENGINE IS JERKING, JUMPING, CAR HAS NO POWER... COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAP.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN THE RAIN AND WIPER LINKAGE COMES LOOSE AND WIPERS QUIT WORKING. THEY ARE USING A CHEAP PLASTIC SNAP ON BUSHING. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN RECALLED?
AFTER HEAVY RAIN FALL, I NOTICED WATER IN FRONT FLOOR BOARD OF BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE, AFTER LOOKING THE GLOVE BOX IS ALSO FULL OF WATER. I DO NOT SEE ANY LEAKS ON EITHER DOOR, OR THE WINDSHIELD AREA. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN IF DRIVING.
WHEN I CRANK MY CAR TO LET IT RUN BEFORE DRIVING OFF, THE DOORS AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN I ATTEMPT TO GET BACK IN THE CAR. MY CAR IS THEN LEFT RUNNING WITH THE DOORS LOCKED AND I HAVE TO CALL FOR ASSISTANCE.
WIPERS STOPPED ABRUPTLY DURING A HEAVY DOWN POUR ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT DUE TO NO VISIBILITY.
THE BUSHINGS ON THE STABILIZER BAR POP OFF CAUSE THE WIPERS TO STOP WORKING. BUT CAN MOVE BY HAD. IN THE LAST WEEK I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THEM PUT BACK ON. AND THE PARTS THAT IT CALLS FOR DOESN'T WORK VERY LONG. THEY ARE NOT SNUGG ENOUGH. THEY STOPPED WORKING DURING THE RAIN WE HAVE HAD AND THE 1ST TIME I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE IN MIDDLE OF THUNDER STORM.
I WAS DRIVING HOME AND DROVE OVER A POT HOLE IN THE ROAD WHEN I WAS TURNING AT INTERSECTION, THEN APPROXIMATELY 3-5 SECONDS AFTER CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AS WELL AS THE ONE FROM STEERING WHEEL. THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG DID NOT FULLY INFLATE DUE TO METAL FRAGMENTS THAT WERE SHOT OUT CAUSING A PUNCTURE TO THE AIR BAG AND THOSE FRAGMENTS CAUSED PUNCTURE WOUNDS TO MY ARM, AND CRACKED THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WINDOW. I WAS NOT IN A COLLISION AT THAT TIME. I HAVE THE REPORT FROM MY INSURANCE WHERE IT STATES THIS CAR HAD A RECALL FOR AIR BAG ISSUES ONE BEING THAT OBJECTS MAY CAUSE INJURY AND OR DEATH FROM SHOOTING OUT. I HAD TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP IN JUNE DUE TO THE STABILITIES AND SERVICE AIR BAGS LIGHT WAS ON. THIS WAS NOT DISCLOSED TO ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE AND ANY OTHER TIME I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICES. AFTER INVESTIGATION THRU MY INSURANCE IT WAS DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS. I HAVE TRIED REPEATEDLY AND UNSUCCESSFULLY, TO REACH OUT TO MANAGEMENT FOR OVER A MONTH NOW AND THEY SEEM TO NOT WANT TO HELP. I HAVE PHOTOS TO SHOW CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE, THE 23 PAGE REPORT FROM MY INSURANCE AS WELL AS MY INJURIES. I PUT $5000 DOWN , INCLUDED IN THAT WAS A TRADE IN. NOW IM LEFT WITHOUT A CAR AND DEALING WITH A DEALERSHIP THAT SEEMS NOT TO CARE. ON THE 23RD PAGE IS WHERE IT STATES THIS VEHICLE MAY BE ONE OF THE AFFECTED ONES. WELL IT WAS BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TO ME. THE INSURANCE TOOK POSSESSION OF CAR OVER 2 WEEKS AGO.*DT*DT*DT*JB*JB*JS
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH during a rainstorm, the windshield wipers stopped functioning. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The contact purchased a new ball joint and windshield wiper at an auto parts store. The vehicle was repaired. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V165000 (Visibility) in the mail. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
THE WIPERS ON OUR CHEVY STOPPED WORKING. COME TO FIND OUT THAT THE BALL JOINT RUSTED OUT. THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 2013 MODELS AND CHEVY DID NOT CARRY THIS RECALL TO THE 2015 TO 2016 MODELS THAT ARE ALSO AFFECTED BY THIS ISSUE. OUR UNIT IS A 2016 AND WE JUST HAD THIS ISSUE WHERE THE WIPER BLADES STOP WORKING RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEAVY RAIN STORM. WE ALMOST GOT IN TO A VERY BAD CAR CRASH DUE TO ZERO VISIBILITY AS WE WAS DRIVING IN A RAIN STORM. THE OTHER ISSUES WE KEEP HAVING WITH THIS CAR AND THE CHEVY DEALER SAYS IT'S NOT A ISSUE. IS WHEN THE CAR STARTS THE ENGINE VIBRATES AND SPUTTERS A LOT. AN THE ENGINE DELAYS WHEN YOU NEED TO EXCEL GOING ON THE HIGH WAY.
WIPERS STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENT, AFTER REVIEWING ON LINE APPEARS TO BE MANUFACTURES DEFECT THAT IS NOT BEING RECALLED.
2015 EQUINOX HAD A WINDSHIELD WIPER FAILURE DURING HEAVY RAIN MAKING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO CONTINUE DRIVING. AFTER INVESTIGATING FOUND THAT THE BUSHING ON THE WIPER MOTOR WAS FILLED WITH DIRT AND CAUSED IT TO SEPARATE LEAVING THE WIPERS INOPERABLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY (APPROX. 55MPH) IN POURING RAIN, WIPERS WERE ON HIGH-SPEED AND STOPPED IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION ABRUPTLY. THANKFULLY WAS ONLY ONE EXIT AWAY FROM MY HOME BUT HAD TO DRIVE WITHOUT WIPERS. VERY DANGEROUS!
OWN A 2015 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO OPERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC MARCH 2019 FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT THE SAME INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AWAITING DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 THE FIRST TIME AND 166000 THE SEND TIME

THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION WHILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEAVY RAIN STORM. I PULLED OVER TO MOVE THEM BACK DOWN AND TRIED TO TURN THEM ON AND THE WIPERS WOULD NOT MOVE. WE HAD TO PULL OVER UNTIL THE RAIN LET UP.
WHILE DRIVING IN A HEAVY THUNDERSTORM YESTERDAY, 7/19/2020, OUR WIPERS STOPPED WORKING IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. WE WERE UNABLE TO SEE THE ROADWAY AND HAD TO FIND A SIDE STREET TO PULL ON TO UNTIL THE RAIN SUBSIDED.
IT STARTED RAINING AS WE LEFT A PARKED LOCATION SO THE WIPERS WERE TURNED ON. WITHIN A MOMENT THE WIPERS STOPPED IN THE UP POSITION. THE WIPER MOTOR COULD STILL BE HEARD RUNNING AND THE WIPERS WERE FREE TO MOVE BY HAND TO ANY POSTION.

WITH NOT QUITE 63,000 MILES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING IN AND I GET ALERTS FROM ON-STAR. MY MECHANIC LOOKED IT UP AND AN OCCURRING PROBLEM WITH THIS YR. ITS A VALVE THAT SENDS OIL TO THE DUAL CAMS...IT HAD NO POWER AND WAS USING WAY MORE HAS AND OIL THAN USUAL...THIS IS THE 4TH TIME IN A MONTH IT HAS BEEN LOOKED AT...IT ALSO SEEMS TO HAVE THE LURCHING TRANNY PROBLEM
FRONT WIPER BLADE BUSHING EASILY COME APART. IT WAS RAINING AND I WAS DRIVING WHEN THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. DOING RESEARCH THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE THAT HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT FOR REPAIR.

VISIBILITY WAS ALREADY TERRIBLE WITH THE SHEETS OF RAIN, BUT WAS NOW INSTANTLY REDUCED TO ZERO WHILE I WAS TRAVELING AT 60 MPH IN DECENTLY HEAVY TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO PUT ON MY HAZARDS AND LIMP MY WAY TO THE EDGE OF THE HIGHWAY. IT APPEARS THAT THE WIPER BLADE LINKAGE HAS BROKEN
WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE IT STARTED TO POUR DOWN RAIN, I TURNED MY WIPERS ON FULL SPEED AND THE WIPER STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDOW AND WOULD NOT ACTIVATE. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON AN INTERSTATE ALMOST CAUSING ME TO WRECK DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE OTHER TRAFFIC. WILL BE BRINGING THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. EVEN WHEN THE OIL IS CHANGED AND THEY TURN THE THE LIGHT OFF. IT WILL COME BACK ON.
PURCHASED CAR 11/2014. CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF TWICE BETWEEN 11/2014 AND 02/2015. HAD CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. WAS TOLD COMPUTER WAS BAD AND WAS REPLACED. FROM 02/2015 - 07/2020 CAR HAS SHUT OFF OVER 50 TIMES. HAD CAR REPAIRED TO REPLACE NUMEROUS SENSORS - CAMSHAFT TO OXYGEN. CAR WOULD JUST OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING ON BUSY CITY STREETS AND INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. RECENTLY CAR SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION AND I WAS ALMOST HIT. CAR SHUT OFF 2 WEEKS AGO DURING A MAJOR RAIN STORM AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING ON THE INTERSTATE. CAR IS NOW IN THE SHOP AND BEING TOLD THE COMPUTER MUST BE REPLACED AND WINDSHIELD LINKAGE NEED TO BE REPAIRED. TOTAL COST OF OVER $1,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while her daughter was driving 50 MPH, she heard loud knocking sounds coming from the engine and the vehicle was jerking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that her daughter was able to pull into the nearest parking lot. The vehicle was towed to her daughter's friend residence. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer to be repaired. The dealer informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle under recall because the VIN was not included in a recall. The contact also contacted a second dealer - Mike Bell Chevrolet (1200 N. Park St, Carrollton, GA 30117) for the repair. The dealer confirmed the information of the first dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 102,000.
IN JUNE I WAS DRIVING IN THE POURING DOWN RAIN ABOUT TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS SHUT OFF, MY HUSBAND CHECKED THE FUSES (NOT BLOWN), CHECKED A FEW OTHER ISSUES THERE WAS A LOSE NUT, TIGHTENED IT NOT TIME IT RAINED THE WIPERS SHUT OFF AGAIN, THE LINKAGE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. 2 WEEKS AGO WHEN IT POURED DOWN THEY STOPPED WORKING AS I WAS ABOUT TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER CHECKING THE NUT ATTACHING THE LINKAGE ASSEMBLY TO THE MOTOR WAS LOSE. WE TRIED TO LOOK UP THE PART TO REPLACE THE NUT NOTHING COMES UP. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. TOMORROW IT IS SUPPOSE TO RAIN ALL DAY AND NEED TO GET TO WORK. I WENT AND REVIEWED THE ISSUE WITH THE CAR I HAVE TO SEE IF ANYTHING CAME UP AND PEOPLE ARE POSTING AS CLOSE AS 10/12/20 THE SAME HAS HAPPEN TO THEIR WIPERS

WHILE DRIVING EAST BOUND ON OHIO TURNPIKE I-80/90 ON 06/23/2020 DURING HEAVY RAIN, THE WIPERS MOTOR OR WIPER TRANSMISSION FAILED WITH THE WIPERS IN A VERTICAL POSITION. WITH DRASTICALLY REDUCED VISIBILITY AND WHILE DRIVING IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE IT WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION I WAS PLACED IN BY THE FAILURE. AT THE DEALER I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THERE IS A SPECIAL COVERAGE FROM THE MANUFACTURER FOR THIS ISSUE. THIS IS INDICATIVE THAT A LARGER PROBLEM EXISTS AND PUBLIC SAFETY IS AT RISK BY NOT CHECKING AND REPAIRING ALL VEHICLES WITH THIS PART/ ASSEMBLY. THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED AT JOE FIRMENT CHEVROLET IN AVON, OH. 866-675-5937. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PAPERWORK AS I HAD TO LEAVE QUICKLY AND COULD NOT WAIT FOR THE SERVICE ADVISOR WHO WAS ON A BREAK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH IN A RAIN STORM, THE DRIVER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER SUDDENLY BROKE OFF AND DISLODGED FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE WIPER SEIZED TO OPERATE. SMOKE WAS ALSO SEEN COMING FROM THE WIPER AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIPER MOTOR TRANSMISSION KIT AND WIPER MOTOR HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE LOCAL DEALER EL DORADO CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 2300 N CENTRAL EXPY, MCKINNEY, TX 75070 WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 55MPH IN A HEAVY DOWNPOUR. HAD TO PULL OVER AND WAIT UNTIL THE RAIN STOPPED. THE WIPERS WERE STUCK IN THE UP POSITION AND WERE EASILY PUSHED BACK DOWN IN ORDER TO SEE WHILE DRIVING HOME.
