WHILE DRIVING EARLY IN THE MORNING TO WORK IT WAS DARK OUTSIDE AS TIME HAS NOT CHANGED YET ABOUT 45 DEGREES. I DROPPED MY DAUGHTER TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ABOUT 10 MINUTES PRIOR AND IT WAS RAINING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING WHEN I TURNED THE CORNER ONTO TWO WAY HIGHWAY AND ACCELERATED ABOUT 25-30 MPH. THE WINDSHIELD WAS NOT VISIBLE AND I WAS UNABLE TO GET OFF OF ROAD FOR ABOUT TWO MINUTES, NEARLY CAUSED HEAD ON COLLISION AND SIDE SWIPED CARS. I HAD TO DRIVE AND STOP OR PULL OVER IN A MEDIAN TO CLEAR WINDSHIELD AND EVEN HANG OUT DRIVER WINDOW TO PULL THE WIPERS IN ORDER TO GET TO A SECURE PLACE. CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP STATED WINDSHIELD WIPER TRANSMISSION, LATER CALLED TO SEE IF IT WOULD BE COVERED AND HE TOLD THEM IT WAS FASTENER OR BALL JOINT TO KEEP IN PLACE CORRODED AND IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED. THE COST IS ABOUT $565 TO BE REPLACED. THEN THE CHEVY SERVICE REP STATED THEY DONT HAVE THE PART TO BE REPLACED, WOULD TAKE ABOUT A COUPLE OF DAYS BECAUSE OF GM ISSUES WITH STRIKE. AS WELL AS CHEVY DOESN'T HAVE ANY LOANER CARS WHILE MY EQUINOX STAYED AT THE DEALER. IT WAS ALSO RAIN EXPECTED AGAIN DURING THE DAY. TRULY UNACCEPTABLE WHEN THERE HAVE BEEN PRECIOUS ISSUES WITH WINDSHIELD WIPERS.
ON 10/7/19 WHILE DRIVING MY 2016 CHEVY EQUINOX HOME FROM WORK ON THE HIGHWAY, IT BEGAN TO RAIN TORRENTIALLY. I TURNED MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON HIGH. SUDDENLY THE LEFT DRIVERS SIDE WIPER FLUNG TO THE LEFT RIGHT OFF OF THE WINDOW HANGING BY THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND MIRROR. I WAS LEFT WITH JUST ONE WIPER IN NEAR DARKNESS AND POURING RAIN 10 MILES FROM HOME. IT WAS PRETTY SCARY. ONCE HOME, MY HUSBAND AN ELECTRICIAN LOOKED AND ADVISED ME THAT ONE OF THE PLASTIC CONNECTORS ON THE WIPER TRANSMISSION JUST CAME APART. HE FEELS IT WAS POORLY ENGINEERED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, IT CREATED A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT MY SAFETY IN JEOPARDY AS WELL AS THE PEOPLE AROUND ME. NOTE: I ONLY HAVE A LITTLE OVER 50,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, IT WILL RANDOMLY TURN OFF. I WILL THEN HAVE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK, TURN OFF THE VEHICLE, AND RESTART IT IN ORDER TO BEGIN DRIVING AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED WHILE TURNING.

THE CONTACT CALLED HANK GRAFF CHEVROLET (800 N STATE RD, DAVISON, MI 48423, (810) 412-0547), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.
I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND IT'S BEEN CAUSING ISSUES FROM DAY ONE. AT FIRST, IT WAS THE BLUETOOTH, THEN IT WAS MY WINDSHIELD WIPER, THEN MY CAMSHAFT, AND NOW MY CA FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT. I HAVE DONE ALL THE REPAIRS WITH THE DEALERSHIP, HOWEVER MY LAST SERVICE MADE ME NOT TRUST THEM NO MORE. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED THE CAMSHAFT, BUT MY CAR STILL DRIVES THE SAME WAY AND EVEN WORSE NOW.

WINDSHIELD WIPERS SUDDENLY STOPED WORKING. I CAN HEAR THE MOTOR RUNNING, BUT THE WIPERS DON'T MOVE.
WHILE DRIVING IN POURING RAIN THE WIPERS QUIT WORKING. THEY QUIT ABRUPTLY WHILE ON LEFT OF WINDSHIELD AND ON FULL POWER. COULD NOT SEE TO DRIVE ON 4 LANE DIVIDED HIGHWAY. WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE TO A WIDE BERM AND STOP. TURNED WIPERS OFF AND ON , THEY WOULD NOT WORK. HAD TO WAIT ON ROADSIDE FOR RAIN TO PASS. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2012 AND 2014 MODELS , BUT NOT YET ON THE 2016.
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORM WHILE DRIVING.
DATE OF PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE 06/25/2019 0/7/13/2019 I MADE A RIGHT TURN DRIVING AND A.C AND STEREO TURNED OFF. 07/15/2019 I WAS PARKED AND THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF I GOT IN THE CAR AND STARTED THE VEHICLE PUT IT ON REVERSE THEN DRIVE AND THE CAR TURNED OFF. I RESTARTED THE CAR WITH THE KEY AND IT TURNED BACK ON. 07/16/2019 IN THE EVENING, ENGINE LIGHT WHEN ON 07/16/2019 IN THE EVENING OIL CHANGE LIGHT WHEN ON 07/16/2019 IN THE AM I CALLED MOSS DEALER CHEVY IN MORENO VALLEY, CA AND SPOKE WITH DON HE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN TO GET CHECKED. APPT SET UP FOR 07/19/2019 AT 8AM AT MOSS CHEVY IN MORENO VALLEY, CA 07/17/2019 IN THE AM I CALLED DON AT MOSS CHEVY IN IN MORENO VALLEY TO NOTIFY HIM THAT MY ENGINE LIGHT AND OIL CHANGE LIGHT WENT ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH IN POURING RAIN, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. NEMINCHT CHEVROLET (1550 CASSAT AVENUE, JACKSONVILLE, FL) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. THIS HAPPENED ON A VERY HOT AND SUNNY SUMMER DAY. THE WINDOWS WERE ROLLED DOWN AND THE A/C WAS OFF. THE RADIO STARTED TO LOOP A SONG THAT WAS PLAYING. I WAS UNABLE TO MUTE IT, TURN IT DOWN, AND TURN IT OFF. THE INFOTAINMENT BUTTONS WERE DOING NOTHING. I TURNED ON THE A/C AND THE INTERIOR COOLED DOWN. THE RADIO FUNCTIONED AS NORMAL ONCE IT WAS COLD. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST AS WELL. ONE TIME, IT WAS DURING WINTER AND THE HEAT WAS ON. THE RADIO MALFUNCTIONED. THE HEAT WAS TURNED OFF. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL.
I WAS DRIVING IN VERY HEAVY RAIN ON THE HIGHWAY DURING A TIME WHERE THERE WAS LOW VISIBILITY AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. I HAD 3 CHILDREN IN THE CAR WITH ME (2 WERE IN A CAR SEATS). ONCE I WAS ABLE TO GET OVER TO THE SHOULDER I CALLED ONSTAR/ CHEVY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE ONLY WAY THEY COULD ASSIST WAS TO TOW MY CAR TO A DEALERSHIP WHICH IN REALITY WASN'T POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE 3 KIDS AND I WERE NOT GOING TO FIT IN THE TRUCK WITH THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER. SO THE KIDS AND I WAITED IN THE CAR ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC UNTIL THE RAIN STOPPED SO THAT I COULD DRIVE MY CAR TO A SAFER PLACE..
I HIT A HOLE AND MY PASSENGER FRONT TIRE AND RIM WERE DAMAGED AND I COULD NOT MOVE CAR, HAD CAR TOWED. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMED THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS TO THE WHEEL, RIM AND NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT. TWO DAYS LATER FRONT DRIVERS SIDE MAKING A LOUD NOISE, SHAKING WHEN DRIVING AND NOTICED IT WAS LEAKING A FLUID. RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP, RESUBMITTED TO INSURANCE COMPANY. INSURANCE WOULD NOT PAY STAYED WEAR AND TEAR. THEY FOUND PLAY IN FRONT LINKS. NEED TO REPLACE BOTH FRONT STABILIZER LINKS , LEFT FRONT AXLE SEAL LEAKING, REPLACED AXLE SEAL AND AXLE. MY CAR HAD 29000 MILES AND REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND TIRE ROTATION. NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY THIS IS WEAR AND TEAR ESPECIALLY 1 WEEK AFTER BUMPER TO BUMPER EXPIRED AND CAR WAS IN FOR SERVICE AND CHECK TWO WEEKS PRIOR. EITHER CHEVY OR INSURANCE COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!! CAN PROVIDE PICTURES AND DOCUMENTATION.
WHILE DRIVING DURING A HEAVY RAIN FALL, MY WIPERS JUST STOPPED WORKING. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND WAIT ABOUT 20 MINUTES FOR THE RAIN TO CLEAR SO I COULD DRIVE HOME. VERY UNSAFE. CHEVY NEEDS TO PUT A RECALL OUT FOR THIS AND FIX IT.
CAR DIED WHILE IN REVERSE, CAR PLACED IN PARK THEN TURNED OFF. THEN TURNED BACK ON PLACED IN DRIVE THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR IT JUST SHUTS OFF. THE RPM GOES TO ZERO AND SHUTS OFF.
ENGINE BURNS OIL... SUV ACTUALLY SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP, IT WAS FOUND TO HAVE NO OIL. LUCKILY IT SHUT OFF WHEN I WAS BY MYSELF WITHOUT MY FAMILY WHILE AT A RED LIGHT AND NOT WHEN I WAS DRIVING. THIS IS A KNOWN GM ISSUE WITH OLDER EQUINOX'S AND NOTHING HAS BEEN CORRECTED. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BC OF THIS ISSUE! IT IS WELL DOCUMENTED THAT A LOT OF OTHER EQUINOX OWNERS ARE DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORRECTED! GM HAS FAILED THEIR CUSTOMERS AND IS ACTING NEGLIGENT!
WIPERS STOPPED WORKING IN HEAVY DOWN POURS ALMOST CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,916.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH IN A RAIN STORM, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED OPERATING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIPER MOTOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE LOCAL DEALER (WILLIAMS CHEVROLET, 2 AUTOMOTIVE BLVD, ELKTON, MD) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
DRIVING 75 MPH IN POURING RAIN AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS JUST STOPPED. MADE IT TO SIDE OF ROAD BUT HAD TO BE TOWED HOME DUE TO WIPERS STOPPING
I WAS TRAVELING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER (RAINSTORM) AND SUDDENLY THE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINKAGE FAILED, CAUSING FAILURE OF THE DRIVERS SIDE WIPER. I WAS TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (55+ MPH) AT THE TIME ON I 270 IN COLUMBUS, OH. INSTANTLY LOST VISIBILITY AND LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO NAVIGATE TO THE BERM WITHOUT BEING INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. TRAFFIC WAS HEAVY AT THE TIME. THIS IS THE SECOND CHEVROLET EQUINOX THAT I EXPERIENCED THIS SAME ISSUE WITH, THE PRIOR VEHICLE WAS A 2013 EQUINOX. THIS ALSO HAPPENED TO TWO OF MY CO-WORKERS WHO DRIVE CHEVY EQUINOXES.
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FOR OUR COMPANY VEHICLE (2016 CHEVROLET EQUINOX) HAD PARTIALLY FAILED ONE DAY PRIOR TO BOTH WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILING. YOU CANNOT USE THEM AT ALL, EVEN WHEN TRYING TO RUN THEM, NOTHING HAPPENS. NO OTHER PREVIOUS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED TO CAUSE THE WIPERS FROM FAILING.
THE ROOF OF MY 2016 CHEVROLET EQUINOX THE CLEAR COAT HAS STARTED TO BUBBLE AND LIFT IN BLOTCHES. THIS CAR IS THE TITANIUM COLOR (DARK GREY METALLIC) I'VE TAKEN VERY GOOD CARE OF MY CAR. THIS IS MY FIRST GM VEHICLE THAT I'VE EVER PURCHASED NEW. MY CAR IS UNDER COVER IN A CAR PORT. THE VIN# INDICATES IT WAS BUILT IN CANADA. I BELIEVE GM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PAINT DETERIORATING ON A 5 YEAR OLD CARIN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
I PURCHASED A PRE CERTIFIED VEHICLE ON 3/22/19 AND STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS 12 DAYS FROM PURCHASE DATE. THE PROBLEMS THAT HAVE OCCURRED ARE: LOUD CRANK LIKE NOISE COMING FROM RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, VIBRATION AT HIGH SPEEDS AND VEHICLE PULLS TO THE LEFT DURING ACCELERATION AND BRAKING. CHEVY HAS REPLACED THE RIGHT FRONT CALIPER TWICE, SAID MY TIRES WERE DEFECTED SO I PURCHASED 4 BRAND NEW ONES, PERFORMED 3 ROAD FORCE BALANCES AND 2 ALIGNMENTS ON NEW TIRES, REPLACED PROPELLER SHAFT AND REPLACED HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING HOSE. MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT FIXED AFTER ALL THE REPAIRS.
RADIO SCREEN GOES ON AND OFF BY ITS SELF AND BACK UP CAMERA WON'T COME ON IN REVERSE AND CAR STARTS ON IT OWN WITH DOORS LOCK AND NO KEYS IN IT DON'T HAVE SELF START BUTTON ON KEY
ON MARCH 15, 2019 MY RADIATOR CRACKED/BUSTED AND THE ENGINE OVERHEATED. THE MECHANIC HAD TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR AND HE SAID THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN TO A 3 YEAR OLD CAR (54,358 MILES). HE SAID MAYBE THE GAUGE STEEL IS THINNER THAN IT USED TO BE. THE ENGINE OVERHEATED (RADIATOR CRACKED) WHILE I WAS DRIVING - BUT WHEN I GOT HOME AFTER DROPPING OFF THE CAR AT THE MECHANIC I NOTICED LEAKING FLUID ALL OVER THE GARAGE FLOOR (FROM BEFORE I DROVE IT).

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESPOND. THE SERVICE STABILI TRAC WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BERGEY'S BUICK GMC (446 HARLEYSVILLE PIKE, SOUDERTON, PA 18964) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH AN UNKNOWN ELECTRICAL WIRING FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FLEMINGTON BUICK GMC CADILLAC (211 US-202, FLEMINGTON, NJ 08822) HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK WAS PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. A CASE WAS FILED. NO ASSISTANCE OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
PVC TUBE FROZE CAUSE REAR SEAL TO BREAK CAUSING ENGINE TO LOSE ALL OIL. LUCKILY I WAS PARKED AND NOTICED THE OIL. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR SENSORS LIT UP. WHEN TALKING TO DEALER AND OTHERS MANY EQUINOX THIS YEAR HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE, EVEN THO GENERAL MOTORS IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE IT WAS STILL MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY 1800.00 TO FIX IT

DRIVING DOWN FREEWAY. CAR STOPPED WORKING NO WARNING LIGHT OR WARNING. BARLEY GOT IT OFF THE ROAD AND OUT OF TRAFFICE. ENDS UP IT THE REAR MANTLE FOLD WHICH IN TURN MADE THE ENGINE STOP WORKING. VEHICLES NEEDS WHOLE NEW ENGINE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY AT 65 MILES PER HOUR MY ENGINE STARTED TO FLUTTER WHEN NOTICING THAT I PULLED OVER RIGHT AWAY AND MY ENGINE SHUT OFF. I HAD TO HAVE MY VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THE DEALERSHIP TOOK A LOOK AT IT THEY REALIZED IT WAS A PCV CLOG FROM CONDENSATION GETTING IN TO THE PCV VALVE. I HAVE 72000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE SO THERE IS NO MORE DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY I BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY HOWEVER THEY WILL NOT COVER IT BECAUSE THEY DO NOT COVER CLOGS. UPON RESEARCHING THIS I FOUND OUT THAT CHEVY HAD A LOT OF THESE AND ACTUALLY EXTENDED WARRANTIES ON VEHICLES FROM 2010 TO 2014 FOR THE SAME ISSUE. THEY HAVE NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT FIXING THE ISSUE IN THE ARTICLES I HAVE READ. UPON HEARING THIS INFORMATION FROM THE DEALERSHIP I CONTACTED ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHICH THAT THEY HAD 6 VEHICLES IN THEIR FOR THIS SAME EXACT THING THEY TOLD ME THAT IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT GETS COLD. CHEVROLET WILL NOT COVER THIS KNOWING IT IS A PROBLEM. ATTACHED IS THE SERVICE BULLETIN WHERE IT LIST THE MODELS AND WHERE CHEVY HAD EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THOSE MAKE AND MODELS.

WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 20 MPH AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE REGAINED NORMAL FUNCTION. DRIVING ON THE NJ TURNPIKE JANUARY 22 2019 FREEZING COLD OUT DAY 15' AND MY CAR JUST DIES. I CAME TO A ROLLING STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. NO WARNING LIGHTS NO INDICATORS NOTHING. CALL AAA BUT THEY CAN'T PICK ME UP ON THE TURNPIKE NEEDS TO BE A SEPARATE TOW TRUCK COMPANY. AFTER 45 MINUTES FREEZING IN THE CAR THE TOW TRUCK GUY SHOWS UP. TAKES A LOOK AT THE TRUCK CHECK OIL AND SAYS I HAVE NO OIL. TURNED KEY AND DASH DID NOT SHOW ANY OIL LIGHTS LIT. LOOKED AT THE BACK OF THE TRUCK AND THERE WAS OIL ALL OVER IT SEE PICS. HAD TO GET TOWED TO YARD THEN CALLED AAA TO TAKE ME TO ELKINS CHEVY. ELKIN'S CHEVY LOOKED AT IT AND SAID THE PCV VALVE FROZE CAUSING THE REAR MAIN SEAL TO BREAK CAUSING ENGINE TO LOSE ALL OIL AND CEASE UP WITH POSSIBLE PIECES IN THE TRANSMISSION. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR SENSORS LIT UP AT ALL STILL. DEALER SAID I WAS OUT OF WARRANTY 88,575 MILES SO I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING. NEW ENGINE $6,000 USED $4,500 PLUS WHAT EVER OTHER DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION, PVC AND CASE. ESTIMATED 7,000 TO 9000. TO FIX THE TRUCK WAS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD AND ALWAYS GOT SERVICED OIL CHANGES ECT. I BOUGHT ANOTHER EQUINOX 2019 AND WHILE TRANSFERRING MY STUFF FROM 1 TRUCK TO ANOTHER SERVICE GUY SAID THIS A COMMON THING WITH THIS ECOTEC ENGINE AND CHEVY IS AWARE. I WENT HOME AND GOOGLE WHAT HAPPENED AND SURE ENOUGH THEY HAVE A CLASS ACTION SUITE AGAINST THEM. THEY SAID IT SHOULD ONLY BE ON THE OLDER MODELS AND IT IS FIXED ON NEWER YEARS. I COULD ENTER MY VIN TO SEE IF MY TRUCK WAS PART OF THE RECALL WHICH IT WAS NOT. I CALLED CHEVY, ESCALLATION AND MANAGERS THEY SAID SINCE I SOLD\TRADED THE TRUCK IN FOR A NEW ONE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS ABRUPTLY BECAME INOPERABLE THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN. NOTHING STUCK IT/THEM, THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT, ETC. ONE MINUTE THEY WERE WORKING AND THE NEXT THE MINUTE COMPLETELY STOPPED MOVING AND HAVEN'T WORKED SINCE. SOUNDS SIMILAR TO CURRENT INVESTIGATION/COMPLAINT OPENED IN 11/2018.
DROVE CAR 10 MILES, THEN TOOK A LEFT TURN AND EVERYTHING SHUT OFF AND WHEEL LOCKED. NO POWER OR ANY WARNING SIGNS OF A BREAK DOWN. RESTARTED CAR AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE AGAIN. TOOK IN FOR A CHECK UP AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO 'RECREATE THE INSTANCE'.

DRIVING SOUTHBOUND GOING 65 MPH ON HIGHWAY. 5X4 BUCK STRUCK HEAD-ON WITH EQUINOX AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. MY 18 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS RESTRAINED BY HER SEATBELT, HOWEVER, WITH THE SPEEDS AND IMPACT THERE WAS FAILURE OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM TO DEPLOY.

A TRUCK DRIVING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED FROM BEHIND ATTEMPTED TO PASS HIM ON THE LEFT EVEN THOUGH MY SON WAS ALREADY TURNING LEFT. THE TRUCK HIT DIRECTLY ON HIS FRONT LEFT TIRE BY A VEHICLE DRIVING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE FRAME WAS DAMAGED AND WE ARE UNSURE OF ADDITIONAL DAMAGES UNTIL THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER INSPECTS IT. THE SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY RESULTING IN MY SON HITTING THE SIDE WINDOW AND DIAGNOSED WITH CERVICAL SPRAIN. DRIVER WAS DRINKING AND ADMITTED TO DRIVING 65-70 MPH. POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED.

ADDITIONALLY, AN ALARM SOUNDED, THE SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGE READINGS WERE INCONCLUSIVE. THE CONCERN THAT DURING AN IMPACT THE FAULTY CONNECTOR WILL CAUSE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG TO NOT DEPLOY WHILE A PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT IS HIGHLY WORRY SOME AND EVEN THOUGH CHEVY IS AWARE OF THE CONDITION, THEY WON'T RECALL OR FIX THE ISSUE. TIMING CHAIN FAILURE CAN CAUSE SUDDEN UNEXPECTED ENGINE SHUTOFF WHILE DRIVING CAUSING A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND SUDDEN STALLING DURING ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION LEADING TO POSSIBLE COLLISIONS AS THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF WITH NO WARNING. CHEVY IS AWARE OF THE TIMING CHAIN ISSUES IN THEIR 2.4L ENGINES AND YET HASN'T ISSUED A RECALL EVEN THOUGH CATROPHIC ENGINE DAMAGE AND PROBABLY LOSS OF LIFE DUE TO LOSS OF CONTROL COLLISIONS.
