TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE BUT THE DOOR HANDLE FRACTURED IN HER HAND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE DOOR HANDLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK IN THE SNOW THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED OUT OF MY HANDS. THIS SAME PROBLEM HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR OTHER CHEVY MODELS BUT NOT THE HHR. DOES SOMEONE NEED TO DIE IN AN ACCIDENT FIRST. I GOT A RECALL LETTER FOR THE STORAGE BIN IN THE DASH NOT STAYING CLOSED AND THAT IS A MINOR INCONVENIENCE, FOR MY WIFE WHO HAS ALWAYS HAD POWER STEERING IN A VEHICLE TO HAVE IT SUDDENLY GO OUT SCARES YOU WHEN YOU ARE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IF YOU TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART IT WITHIN A MINUTE OR TWO ITS OUT AGAIN. CONSUMERS PAY FOR SAFETY AND IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE ALL OF THE THIS REGULATIONS ARE HELPING WHEN IT REALLY MATTERS. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 20 MPH WHEN THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT "POWER STEERING DISPLAYED ON INFORMATION CENTER, CHIMES AUDIBLE AS IF DOOR IS AJAR, ILLUMINATED AS THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME ABNORMALLY RESISTANT. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE KEYS WOULD FAIL TO EJECT FROM THE IGNITION INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,594 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 91,000. UPDATED 5/13/14*CN..!....UPDATED 07/31/14 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AGAIN, WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH. THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND VIBRATED AND HE LOST POWER STEERING. THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER, SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF, AND RE-STARTED IT AGAIN, AND EVERYTHING WENT BACK TO NORMAL, AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, A POWER STEERING WAS ORDERED AND THEY WOULD INSTALL UNDER WARRANTY. UPDATED 08/05/14 *TR
POWER STEERING GOES OUT INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING. HAVE TO PULL OVER TURN OFF CAR AND RESTART. POWER STEERING MOTOR REPLACED 3/13/13 BY CHEVROLET DEALER. AS OF SEPTEMBER 2014 THE POWER STEERING MOTOR HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED IN THE SAFETY RECALL FOR 2006 HHR. *TR
IN OUR 2006 CHEVROLET HHR, THE FRONT RIGHT AND LEFT WHEEL BEARING HUB ASSEMBLIES HAVE FAILED AT 57,000 MILES. THE SYMPTOM WAS A RUMBLING NOISE BEGINNING AT 40 MPH TO 45 MPH. WHEEL BEARINGS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE A PERISHABLE ITEM. IN COMPARISON, ALL FOUR WHEELS STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL BRAKE PADS THAT HAVE NOT YET WORN OUT. WITHOUT QUESTION, BRAKE PADS SHOULD WEAR OUT BEFORE WHEEL BEARINGS. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY I HAD A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP REPLACE THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARING HUB ASSEMBLY THAT WAS THE WORST, AND SUBMITTED A COMPLAINT TO CHEVROLET TO SEE IF THEY WOULD ASSIST IN REPAIRS ON THE LEFT SIDE. AFTER PAYING FOR A DEALER ($109) TO DIAGNOSE WHAT I ALREADY KNEW (AS A REQUIREMENT TO START THE INVESTIGATION PROCESS) THE VERDICT WAS A "WORN OUT" WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY. I HAVE NOW BEEN TOLD THAT I DO NOT QUALIFY FOR ANY ASSISTANCE FROM CHEVROLET. IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE FAILURES ARE THE RESULT OF EITHER A SERIOUS DESIGN DEFICIENCY OR MANUFACTURING QUALITY DEFECT. FORTUNATELY, THE BEARINGS DID NOT FAIL CATASTROPHICALLY TO CAUSE A CRASH. I AM CONCERNED THAT WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED MAY BE A WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM IN THE HHR POPULATION. *TR
PULLED INTO GARAGE, PLACED SHIFTER IN PARK, IGNITION KEY WOULD NOT ROTATE TO LAST DETENT POSITION AND KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED, LEAVING SOME ELECTRICAL ITEMS ON. SHIFTER BUTTON WAS DEPRESSED AND WOULD NOT UNLOCK BUT SHIFT COULD BE PUT IN ANY GEAR. I SEARCHED INTERNET FOR PROBLEM AND LEARNED HOW TO REMOVE COVER UNDER IGNITION SWITCH AND MANIPULATE A BUTTON INSIDE THE COLUMN TO ALLOW KEY TO BE RELEASED. CAR CAN BE STARTED AGAIN BUT TO SHUT OFF AND REMOVE KEY, SAME PROCESS REQUIRED. A BIG PROBLEM I HAVE FOUND ON INTERNET FROM OTHER OWNERS IS THAT INSTEAD OF PAYING THE OUTRAGEOUS COST TO FIX, MANY DRIVERS ARE DOING THE ABOVE, WHICH IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE THE SHIFT LEVER CAN EASILY, ACCIDENTALLY BE SHIFTED INTO ANOTHER GEAR WHILE IN MOTION ! THIS PROBLEM IS CAUSED BE A METAL PIN, MOUNTED IN AN INFERIOR PLASTIC PIECE, WHICH BREAKS OR OTHERWISE ALLOWS THE METAL PIN TO FALL OUT OF POSITION. THIS IS REPORTED IN ALL YEAR MODELS, AT ALL MILEAGES. MY CAR IS A 2006 WITH 11000 MILES- 7 YEARS OLD, AND OBVIOUSLY HARDLY USED, LET ALONE ABUSED, AND OF COURSE, OUT OF WARRANTY ! GM HAS UPGRADED THE REPLACEMENT PART WITH A SHROUD OF METAL REINFORCING THE PLASTIC, AND HAS REPAIRED AND REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY ON MODELS FROM 2009 TO DATE. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DESIGN DEFECT, AND ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE. GM NEEDS TO RECALL ALL MODELS WITH THIS DEFECT ! THEY ARE NOT OFFERING ANY SOLUTION FOR A REPAIR THAT MANY OWNERS HAVE PAID UP TO $600 OF THEIR OWN MONEY, AND I FOR ONE AM GOING TO FIGHT THIS IN ALL WAYS POSSIBLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILURE MADE IT EXTREMELY ROUGH TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY FORCE TO THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO MAKE A COMPLETE RIGHT OR LEFT TURN. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS TO BE INSPECTED, DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. ....UPDATED 07/23/14 *BF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR FAILED TO OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 93,724. *TR UPDATED 04/30/13*LJ
POWER STEERING ASSIST MOTOR FAILED. RESET AFTER SHUTOFF AND RESTART OF CAR. PROBLEM INTERMITTENT, OCCURRING SOMETIMES NOT AT ALL, OTHER TIMES REPEATEDLY (IE 5 TIMES IN A THREE MILE DRIVE). PROBLEM ALWAYS OCCURRED WHILE MOVING DURING A VARIETY OF SPEEDS (25-75MPH) AND WHILE DECELERATING AND ACCELERATING. THE ONLY CIRCUMSTANCE IN WHICH IT DID NOT OCCUR WAS STANDING STILL OR TURNING. DEALER SAID SHORT CIRCUIT IN POWER STEERING ASSIST MOTOR WAS THE PROBLEM AND REPAIRED IT QUICKLY. THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF MILES ON MY VEHICLE, FOR A PART LIKE THIS TO BREAK AND NOT BE RELATED TO A DEFECT SEEMS LESS THAN REALISTIC. I'VE READ ABOUT THE SAME PART ON CHEVY COBALTS (THE HHR PLATFORM) BEING RECALLED AND MANY COMPLAINTS BY HHR OWNERS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE. NOTE: WHEN I TOLD THE SERVICE DEPT I WAS USING MY MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN INSURANCE (VIA GEICO), THEY ASKED WHAT MY DEDUCTIBLE WAS ($250); INTERESTINGLY, WHEN I CALLED TO ASK ABOUT REPLACING STATED PART, WAS TOLD REPAIR WAS "ABOUT $400" BUT ACTUAL REPAIR BILLING ENDED UP BEING $218. *TR
I EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEMS MENTIONED WITH MY HHR, THE POWER STEERING SOUND WOULD RING AND IMMEDIATELY THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. THIS HAPPENED OVER A PERIOD OF 4-5 MONTHS ALONG WITH NUMEROUS OTHER PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE FRONT END MAKING A POPPING SOUND FROM THE DAY I GOT IT. KNOWING THERE WAS NO USE IN CONTACTING CHEVROLET, I TRADED IT IN LAST SUMMER, HOLDING MY BREATH THAT THE DEALER WOULDN'T CHECK IT OUT TOO CLOSELY. I HAD TO TAKE ABOUT $2,000 LESS THAN THE BOOK BUT WAS THRILLED WITH WHAT I GOT FOR IT ANYWAY ($5,000). I'M HAPPY "NOT" TO OWN THIS CAR ANYMORE, BUT FEEL THERE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THE POWER STEERING ASIDE FROM THE IGNITION PROBLEM THAT'S ALL OVER THE NEWS. SOMEONE/THING NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS BEFORE OTHER DRIVERS ARE HARMED. LIKE WE ALL KNOW THE HHR IS MERELY A COBALT WITH A DIFFERENT BODY. THE HHR HAS BEEN KICKED ASIDE SOMEWHAT IN RELATION TO THE COBALT PROBLEMS. ALL OWNERS OF HHR'S, BEWARE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER FAILED AND THE ARM OF THE WIPER BECAME FRACTURED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 121,000. UPDATED 4/8/13 *CN
WAS SNOWING GOT CAR HIGH CENTERED IN DRIVEWAY COULD NOT GET IGNITION TO TURN OFF TRIED OFF AND ON FOR A HOUR FINALLY FRUSTRATED WENT IN HOME THE NEXT MORNING OF COURSE MY BATTERY WAS DEAD. THIS HAPPENED WITHIN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF BUYING THE CAR. THEN DEALERSHIP CAME OUT GOT VEHICLE STARTED TOOK TO SHOP. I GOT THE CAR BACK A WEEK LATER. THEN WAS DRIVING CAR AND ON THE WEEKEND ON MY WAY TO WORK MESSAGE ON DASH SAYS REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND WOULD NOT LET ME GO MORE THAN 30 MPH. THE ROADS WERE COMPLETELY DRY SO ROAD CONDITIONS WERE NOT THE ISSUE. I AGAIN CALLED THE GUY WHO SOLD ME THE CAR HE SWITCH ME OVER TO THE MECHANIC WHO SAID BRING THE CAR IN NEXT TIME IT DOES THAT OTHERWISE THEY WONT BE ABLE TO TELL WHAT WENT WRONG. THEN THE NEXT WEEK MY FRONT TIRE WAS WOBBLING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO COME OFF AND IT WAS NOT THE LUG BOLTS BECAUSE I CHECKED THEM SO BACK TO THE SHOP AGAIN. THEY SAID SOME BOLT WAS LOOSE UNDER THE HOOD TO THE FRONT END AND I SHOULD BE FINE. THEN I BELIEVE IT WAS A WEEK OR TWO LATER THE IGNITION LOCKED UP ON ME AGAIN AND THEY BLAMED THAT ON ME. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR A YEAR AND OWE MORE THAN IT IS WORTH SO CANNOT TRADE IT IN BECAUSE I OWE THREE TIMES MORE THAN IT IS WORTH. A MONTH AGO AGAIN THE MESSAGE CAME ON THE DASH REDUCE ENGINE POWER ON MY WAY TO WORK LIVE 11 MILES OUT OF TOWN SO DROVE ON THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD WITH MY FLASHERS ON TO LET OTHER CARS BY. AMONG THAT I HAD THE WINDSHIELD LEEK WATER IN MY FLOOR ON PASSENGER SIDE EVERY TIME IT RAINED. THE DEALERSHIP HAD PUT IN A NEW WINDSHIELD AND DIDN'T GET PART UNDER THE HOOD BACK ON CORRECTLY. I COULD GO ON AND ON BUT BOTTOM LINE AFTER BUYING THE CAR IT WAS IN THE SHOP THREE TIMES BEFORE I EVEN GOT PLATES FOR IT. I HAVE BEEN REALLY FRUSTRATED WITH THE CAR BUT NOT MUCH THAT I KNOW TO DO SINCE OWE TOO MUCH ON IT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND THE STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. UPON RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE MALFUNCTION RECURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
POWER STEERING CUT OUT, AND MANUAL OR DIFFICULT STEERING WAS REQUIRED. BASED ON SEVERAL ONLINE FORUMS, THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM, AND RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR THE CHEVY COBALT WHICH HAS THE SAME POWER STEERING AS THE HHR. RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED IN CANADA FOR THE HHR AS WELL. PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED, WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE ELECTRONIC STEERING PUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT COMES ON AND THERE IS NO POWER STEERING, HARD TO STEER. HAPPENS NUMEROUS TIMES. TURN CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND IT'S FINE AGAIN. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED ON ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,400 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 38,500.
THE SAME AS WITH THE COBALT THAT HAD BEEN RECALLED FOR REPAIR SERVICE. ONLY WITH THE HHR, THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL FOR THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM!! I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR TO DEALERSHIP GARAGE AND PAY FOR SCAN DIAGNOSTICS AND ALSO FOR POWER STEERING MOTOR...DUE TO THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM THAT WAS RECALLED FOR THE COBALT! I FEEL THAT GM NEEDS TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD AND HAVE THE SAME RECALL FOR ALL THEIR MAKES THAT HAVE THIS ISSUE. COULD BE RESULT OF FATALITIES DUE TO SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHICH COULD DEPEND ON LOCATION THIS DECIDES TO HAPPEN. NOT HAPPY WITH BEING TREATED DIFFERENTLY JUST BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A COBALT INSTEAD I DRIVE A HHR WITH THE SAME PART AND PROBLEM THAT THEY WILL COVER FOR COBALT OWNERS!!! *TR
THE POWER STEERING LIGHT COMES ON FREQUENTLY. I HAVE NO POWER STEERING AND HAVE TO DO IT MANUALLY WHICH MAKES IS VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING MORE AND MORE. SOMETIMES I CAN ONLY BACK OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENS. AS THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE, I AM WONDERING WAY CHEVY DOESN'T DO A RECALL. *TR
AS I BEGAN TO PULL OUT FROM THE PARKING LOT AFTER WORK ONE EVENING, I BEGAN TO HEAR A CHIME LIKE TONE, AT THE SAME TIME A MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD THAT READ "POWER STEERING..." I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD FOR A POSSIBLE BROKEN POWER STEERING BELT, BUT COULD NOT FIND THE POWER STEERING PUMP .RE STARTED THE ENGINE AND THE POWER STEERING WORKED FINE FOR ABOUT A WEEK. I LATER DISCOVERED THE POWER SYSTEM ASSIST CONSIST OF AN ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MOTOR AND NOT A HYDRAULIC. AS TIME PASSED, THE PROBLEM BECAME MORE FREQUENT. NOW, ONCE THE CAR BEGINS TO MOVE, IT TAKES ONLY A COUPLE OF MINUTES, IF NOT SECONDS, BEFORE I HEAR THE CHIME, THE MESSAGE SHOWS UP, AND HERE I GO AGAIN, STRUGGLING TO STEER WITH ONE HAND AND SHIFTING WITH THE OTHER, AT TIMES THROUGH VERY HEAVY TRAFFIC. MY CAR IS A STANDARD SHIFT. IT HAS BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO CROSS LANES WILE STEERING WITH ONE HAND AT THE SAME TIME YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT GEARS DURING HEAVY AND SLOW TRAFFIC. I AM BEGINNING TO SUFFER SHOULDER AND NECK PAIN WHICH COMPOUNDS THE PROBLEM. I CALLED GM ON THIS ISSUE BUT THE GM REP. JANUARY 14, 2013 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OURISMAN CHEVROLET OF BOWIE FOR BLOWER NOT WORKING FOR HEAT OR DEFROST. I WAS TOLD THEIR WAS A SHORT IN THE BLOWER RESISTER. IT WAS REPLACED AND I PAID $225.34 THEN, ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2014 SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. TOOK BACK TO SAME DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD SAME PROBLEM. HOWEVER, IT WAS AFTER 1 YEAR WARRANTY SO I HAD TO PAY $181.68 TO FIX. ON DECEMBER 10, 2014, HAD TO BRING CAR IN AGAIN FOR SAME PROBLEM. THIS TIME IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS AN ADDITIONAL PART THAT WAS NEEDED TO BE FIXED AND IT WOULD COST $454.43. OURISMAN TOLD ME IF I DID NOT GET THIS PART THE BLOWER MOTOR WOULD EVENTUALLY GO AGAIN AND STOP WORKING. WHILE CAR WAS IN FOR RECALL, ADDRESSED AN UNRELATED ELECTRICAL SOLENOID PROBLEM AND ASKED THE DEALER TO LOOK AT THE DOOR LOCK ISSUE. DEALER NOTIFIED OWNER THAT PASSENGER DOOR AND REAR SEAT LEFT AND RIGHT DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS HAD FAILED (3 OF 4 TOTAL). ASKED DEALER IF THEY HAD SEEN THIS UNUSUAL CONDITION ON ANY OTHER HHR'S AND THEY SAID NO. SHOWED THEM THE 30+ ISSUES LOGGED ON THIS SITE AND THEY ONLY COMMENTED THAT THE HHR WAS NOT THE BEST GM PRODUCT EVER BUILT BUT THERE WAS NO DEALER FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT IT WOULD BE $340 PER DOOR TO FIX AND SERVICE WAS DECLINED (AFTER $80 DIAGNOSTIC CHARGE TO VERIFY THAT DOOR LOCKS DID NOT WORK). *TR
THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS PULLING MY VEHICLE OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY, I WAS IN REVERSE AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND BEGAN DRIVING, AFEW SECONDS LATER, I HEARD A WARNING CHIME AND A MESSAGE CAME UP ON MY DASH SAYING "POWER STEERING". THE NEXT DAY I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY GOING APPROXIMATELY 70-80 MPH WHEN THE CAR ONCE AGAIN DISPLAYED POWER STEERING ON THE DASH AND IT BECAME VERY HARD TO OPERATE THE STEERING WHEEL, I STOPPED THE CAR AND LEFT IT AT A REST AREA ALONG THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE I WAS TOO AFRAID IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN BEFORE I COULD GET OFF THE HIGH WAY AND SAFELY BACK HOME AND HAD TO HAVE A FRIEND DRIVE IT BACK TO MY HOME.
