"TAKATA RECALL" WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY TRACTION ALERT CAME ON THE MESSAGE STATES THE ENGINE IS SLOWING DOWN AND TOOK IT TO O'REILY'S AND STATES THE SENSOR CODES ALERTS THAT WILL CAUSE MY CAR TO FAIL BY SHUTTING DOWN AND LOCKING UP IF ITS NOT CORRECTED AND TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY RECALLS ON THIS MALFUNCTION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED RECURRING ISSUES WITH THE STEERING IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 230,000.
AIR BAG INOPERATIVE LIGHT ON INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND AFTER INVESTIGATION FOUND THE WIRING HARNESS ASSOCIATED WITH (PIG-TAIL) WAS BROKEN AND CHAFED FROM INTERFACING WITH CAR FRAME DURING NORMAL OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE. CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN ANY TYPE OF INCIDENT . VEHICLE HAS 58,025 ORIG MILES THE CAR IS OPERATED ON. CITY AND HIGHWAY PAVED ROADS.
WHILE DRIVING ON A ROAD MY TIE ROD BROKE CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. IT COMPLETELY TURNED AROUND AND LANDED IN SOME TREES.
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR WHEN AT A MOMENTS NOTICE THE CAR SHUT OFF POWER STEERING WAS LOST THE CAR VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND ANOTHER CAR SLAMMED INTO MY PASSENGER SIDE SWIPING ME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE LOCKING MECHANISM WOULD OPERATE WHEN PRESSING THE DOOR LOCK SWITCH, BUT THE DOOR WOULD REMAIN LOCKED AND UNABLE TO OPEN. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,000. *LN UPDATED 7/26/18*JB
BRAND NEW BATTERIES DIE WITHOUT EVEN DRIVING.NEW BATTERIES WILL DIE INSTANTLY.
I JUST RECENTLY HAD THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED NOTIFICATION COME UP ON MY CAR AND POWER REDUCED A GOOD AMOUNT. I GOT HOME AS SOON AS I COULD AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. DIDN'T COME ON THE NEXT DAY BUT WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN, 25-45 MPH, I COULD FEEL A LITTLE OF A PULL TIME TO TIME, SAW THAT THE RPM NEEDLE WOULD JUMP TIME TO TIME. I HAVE ALSO DRIVEN IT ON THE INTERSTATE AND IT IS JUST THE SAME THING.
TRACTION CONTROL PROBLEM....WARNING LIGHT AND MESSAGE THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY AND POWER TO THE ENGINE IS REDUCED...AFTER CAR IS OFF ND SITS FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, THE WANING SIGNS ARE OFF AND CAR IS AT FULL POWER FOR AAPROXIMATLY 3 TO 10 MILES, THEN I HAPPENS AGAIN....
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LOWER BACK AND SHOULDERS. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF A DEALER OR MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
WHEN TURNED CAR ON WIPERS DID NOT WORK, THEY WOULD INTERMITTENTLY COME ON AND WORK BEFORE THEY COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING AND DO NOT TURN ON AT ALL. CHANGED THE WIPER MOTOR AND THE WIPER SWITCH AND THEY STILL DO NOT WORK. I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE WORKING WIPERS ON MY CAR. PEP BOYS WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT GENERAL MOTORS ISSUED TSB NUMBER: 08-08-110-019, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY COVERAGE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 129,000.
SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL ENGINE POWER REDUCED DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND IT DROPPED THE SPEED FROM 75 TO 40 IN MATTER OF MINUTES MY FAMILY ALMOST GOT RAN OVER BY A SEMI THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT
MY ISSUE STARTED WITH MY CAR TURNING OVER. IT WOULD NOT WANT TO START FIRST TRY BUT WOULD TURN OVER ON THE SECOND. SOME TIMES IT WOULD START FINE AND OTHERS IT HESITATED. AFTER DEALING WITH THIS FOR A WHILE MY BATTERY DIED AFTER SPENDING A LITTLE WHILE IDLING. TOOK IT TO CHECK THE ACCELERATOR AND THE BATTERY BUT BOTH WERE FINE. CONTINUING TO INTERMITTENTLY ACT UP WHEN STARTING, IT ALSO STARTED TO SHOW OTHER PROBLEMS. I WAS GETTING IN MY CAR TO LEAVE AND IT STARTED UP FINE BUT BEFORE I COULD PULL OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY MY CAR STARTED SHAKING AND SHOWING AN "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" MESSAGE. I TURNED IT OFF RAN INSIDE AND WHEN I CAME BACK OUT TO SHOW OTHERS THE ISSUE IT STARTED WITHOUT A PROBLEM AND DID NOT HAVE THE MESSAGE ANY MORE. STILL HAVE THE TURNOVER HESITATION, I CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT HOWEVER IT STARTED TO SHAKE AND SHOW THE SAME ENGINE POWER REDUCED MESSAGE AS I PULLED INTO MY APARTMENT COMPLEX. ALSO HAS DONE THIS WHEN LEAVING AND TURNING INTO A MAIN ROAD, CAUSING US TO PULL OVER AND WAIT TO START IT AGAIN. TOOK IT TO GET CODES TESTED AGAIN AND IT PULLED UP A DIDN'T MATCH CODE. AFTER DOING RESEARCH TONS OF OTHERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND WORSE. MANY SHOWED THE SOLUTION TO BE REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY AND THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR WHICH WE DID. SLIGHT HESITATION ON THE START UP BUT TOOK IT AROUND THE BLOCK NO ISSUES. WENT TO TEST IT ON THE HIGHWAY AND BEFORE WE EVEN MADE IT THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED CAME ON AND CAR SHOOK AGAIN. THERE AND SO MANY OTHERS THAT HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND MANY HAVE NOT FOUND THE FIX. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING SINCE WE CANNOT RETURN THE PART AFTER IT'S BEEN INSTALLED. I AM WORRIED TO TAKE MY CAR OUT AND DRIVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN WHILE I'M AT INCREASED SPEEDS.
MY CAR STARTED HAVING THE TRACTION CONTROL COME ON ABOUT 2-3 YEARS AGO. I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSMISSION WAS CRACKED-CHEVROLET SAID NOT THEIR FAULT, SO, I REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. THEN, IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. I REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS. IT STOPPED. THEN, STARTED UP AGAIN. TOOK TO THE CHEVROLET GARAGE WHO PUT IT ON THEIR TOTAL DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. TOLD I NEED BOTH BEARINGS ON THE FRONT. AT A $972.00 PRICE TAG FOR THIS, I BOUGHT THE BEARINGS AND HAD ANOTHER GARAGE PUT THEM ON AT A GREAT REDUCTION IN COST TO ME ON LABOR. NOW, IT IS DOING IT AGAIN. AT FIRST IT WAS ONLY EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE. THE WHEEL SENSORS APPEAR TO BE FINE. NOW I NOTICE IT IS DOING IT A LOT MORE AND STARTING TO DO IT WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM A STOP AT CERTAIN TIMES. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW, AND, FOR ITS AGE, IT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE 60,000 MILES ON IT. (THE DATE THAT THAT I AM USING IN THE NEXT STEP HERE IT BEGAN IS THE DATE WHEN IT REALLY STARTED DOING ITS 'TRICKS' A LOT MORE).
"SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" AND THEN "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" ALTERNATING ON DASH OFTEN, WHILE DRIVING. MY MECHANIC COULD ONLY DIAGNOSE THE THROTTLE PEDAL SENSOR WAS GOING OUT. HE REPLACED THE PEDAL. TWICE, IT CONTINUES TO BE A PROBLEM. ALL MECHANICS SAY I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP, I HAVE A FEELING THIS IS A RIP-OFF.
DASH SAYS "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" THEN "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" WHEN THIS FIRST STARTED ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO, I TOOK THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC. HE RAN A DIAGNOSTIC AND WHAT CAME UP WAS I NEEDED A "THROTTLE SENSOR", WHICH MEANT REPLACING THE GAS PEDAL. HE DID THIS. THAT DIDN'T WORK SO HE RE-DID THE PEDAL. STILL GETTING THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL MESSAGE, WITH REDUCED ENGINE POWER, THIS HAPPENS AT RANDOM, NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. NOW THE BIG PROBLEM IS- I HAVE TO GO TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP SERVICE AND PAY 150 BUCKS JUST FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. WHICH DOESN'T EVEN GO TOWARD SOLVING THE PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE AND ALSO THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE SERVICED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V355000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CONTACTS VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK, LEFT HAND, AND NECK. THE CONTACT'S THREE CHILDREN WHO WERE SEATED IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE ALL SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THEIR BACKS, NECKS, AND HEADS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN UNKNOWN FACILITY WHERE IT WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200,000.

WHEN MY CAR IS IN MOTION IN THE STREET, TURNING, BRAKING AND DRIVING SLOW MY TRACTION CONTROL COMES ON AND SAYS REDUCE ENGINE SPEED AND THE LIGHT FOR MY ENGINE COMES ON. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM AND I DONT HAVE ANY INVOICES, ANY POLICE REPORTS NOR ANY INSURANCE CLAIMS

THE CAR STARTED VIOLENTLY SHAKING AND THE DISPLAY PUT UP THE WARNING "LOW ENGINE POWER" AND "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL".HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES BEFORE WHEN THE CAR WAS PARKED BUT NEVER WHILE DRIVING. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON FOR A LITTLE BIT BUT THEN USUALLY GOES AWAY AFTER A DAY OR SO.
TEMP GAUGE MOVES TO HOT SIDE, DIC SHOWS ENGINE HOT TURN AC OFF, ENGINE POWER REDUCED, TRACTION STABILITY AND CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON
TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AND CAUSE MY CAR TO REDUCE POWER
TRANSMISSION FAILURE, SLIPPING IN OVERDRIVE AND DURING TAKEOFF EXCESSIVE ENGINGE OIL USAGE.
LAST MAY I WAS DRIVING MY CAR FROM WORK GOING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH A MESSAGE CAME ON THE INFORMATION SCREEN. SOMETHING ABOUT GOING OVER 160MPH. THE CAR SUDDENLY SLOWED, COULDN'T SEEM TO FIND THE PROPER GEAR. AT THE SAME TIME THE SPEEDOMETER WAS GOING UP AND DOWN SHOWING 60, 30, 80, 0. THEN IT CUT OFF. I PUT THE ROLLING CAR INTO NEUTRAL AND STARTED IT. IT FIRED UP IMMEDIATELY. I PUT IN GEAR AND CONTINUED UNTIL IT WAS SAFE TO STOP. LET ENGINE COOL OFF AND DROVE HOME. THE SPEEDOMETER CONTINUED TO FLUCTUATE, IT ALSO CUT OFF AND FLASHED THE MESSAGE AGAIN. CALLED DEALERSHIP NEXT MORNING AND TOOK IN. THEY CAME BACK WITH DIAGNOSIS OF TRANSMISSION FAILURE, NEED TO REPLACE. I SHELLED OUT $4000 FOR THE TRANSMISSION, NOW IT IS SLIPPING. I DROVE HOME TODAY AND THAT MESSAGE FLASHED ACROSS MY SCREEN ALONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION STRUGGLING TO FIND THE PROPER GEAR. THE SPEEDOMETER WAS MOVING UP AND DOWN. THE SPEEDOMETER WAS REPLACED WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. I ALSO MADE A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO GM. *TR
TRACTION CONTROL, WARNING COMES ON THEN ENGINE STARTS TO SHUT DOWN NO POWER TO MAINTAIN FREEWAY SPEED HAVE TO EXIT. SCARY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. ON A SIDE STREET IT IS NOT QUITE SO BAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. NEED HELP. MOST RECENT JAN 5 2017. COLD WEATHER, CAR VIBRATES SO BAD AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. BEEN HAVING TROUBLE FOR ABOUT 3 TO 5 YEARS. *TR
ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED WHILE I WAS TRAVELING WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE BUT CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN. TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR AND REPLACED THE PEDAL POSITION SENSOR WAS REPLACED. I CONTACTED CHEVY DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPT AND WAS TOLD IT'S A COMMON OCCURRENCE. IMPALAS HAVE A THROTTLE SENSOR INSTEAD OF CABLE. IF THE SENSOR GOES OUT, THE ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED TO PROTECT THE ENGINE INTEGRITY. IN SOME CASES, IT'S REDUCED SIGNIFICANTLY. THE MANUFACTURE NOTED MY CONCERN BUT THE REP WOULD NOT ESCALATE THE MATTER. I WENT ONLINE TO FILE A COMPLAINT AND THERE IS A CHEVY FORUM WITH SIMILAR CONCERNS. GENERAL MOTOR REPS REPLY WITH COMMON RESPONSES TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED MECHANIC AND THEIR CONCERN HAS BEEN NOTED. I WAS INFORMED BY REPRESENTATIVE AT 800# FOR MANUFACTURE TO CALL BACK IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. THANKFULLY I WASN'T GOING AT A HIGHER SPEED IN DALLAS TRAFFIC. NOT SURE IF I WOULD HAVE HAD THE LUXURY OF PULLING OVER.

TRANSMISSION FAILED, ENGINE LEAKING, VEHICLE HAS UNEXPECTED SHUT OFF, SMELLS SOMEWHAT LIKE IT'S BURNING.
STEERING GEAR MOUNT BROKE AND CAUSED SUDDEN COMPLETE STEERING LOSE DUE TO CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF RACK AND PINION STEERING SYSTEM. WHEN THE MOUNT BROKE THE STEERING HOUSING CONTAINING THE POWER STEERING FLUID AND POWER STEERING FLUID HOSES BROKE RESULTING IN LOSS OF STEERING. PICTURES SHOW MISSING MOUNT, BROKEN HOUSING AND HOSES. WOW! NO ONE WAS HURT BECAUSE FAILURE HAPPENED IN CHURCH PARKING. PAYS TO GO TO CHURCH.

MY DASH IS CRACKED
I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AT ABOUT 60 MPH GOING UPHILL. I DID NOT HAVE IT IN CRUISE CONTROL. IWAS PASSING A SEMI. SUDDENLY THE STEERING BECAME VERY DIFFICULT, AND THE BRAKES SEEMED HARD TO PUSH. I FINALLY MANAGED TO GET THE CAR OFF THE ROAD AND STOPPED. I PUT IN PARK AND GOT OUT TO CHECK AND SEE IF ONE OF THE TIRES HAD BLOWN OUT, I LEFT IT RUNNING. THE TIRES WERE FINE. I GOT BACK IN AND PUT IT IN GEAR AND EASED DOWN ON THE GAS TO SEE HOW IT WAS GOING TO GO. IT DID FINE, I DROVE IT THE REST OF THE DAY AND IT SEEMED TO BE NORMAL. I AM CONCERNED THIS COULD BE CONNECTED TO THE IGNITION RECALL BACK IN 2014 AND WORRY THAT IT MIGHT HAPPEN AGAIN. MY HUSBAND IS ATTEMPTING TO GET IT LOOKED AT BY MECHANIC.

THE RACK AND PINION IS OUT OF THE CAR. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN MARCH OF 2016 AND THE STEERING HAS LOCKED UP ON ME. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR.
VEHICLE STATIONARY. FIRST OF ALL, CAR KEY BROKE OFF IN THE LOCK. THE BOTTOM HALF IS EMBEDDED IN THE LOCK SO THE SPARE KEY WILL NOT GO IN. THEREFORE, CANNOT LOCK THE CAR AT ALL. SECOND, LEFT REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. THE CHILD SAFETY LOCK IS NOT ON. DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE. I TRANSPORT FOUR SENIORS TO AND FROM CHURCH EVERY WEEK, AND THEY HAVE A VERY HARD TIME GETTING IN AND OUT OF THE CAR FROM THE RIGHT DOOR ONLY IN HAVING TO SLIDE SO FAR OVER. ALSO, SINCE THE CAR CANNOT BE LOCKED, THEY CANNOT LEAVE THEIR THINGS IN IT FOR FEAR OF SOMEONE TAKING THEM. WHY OH WHY DIDN'T CHEVY PUT A LOCK ON BOTH OF THE FRONT DOORS??

MY WIFE'S 2007 CHEVY IMPALA LEFT HER STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY IN A SNOWSTORM. SHE WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, HER OVERHEAT WARNING LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING, AND WHAT SHE DESCRIBED AS "A HUGE CLOUD OF FOG OR SMOKE" WAS TRAILING BEHIND HER. SHE IMMEDIATELY PUT ON HER HAZARDS AND PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ONCE STOPPED, THE DIGITAL READOUT SHOWED "ENGINE OVERHEAT, IDLE ENGINE" AND THEN THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE IS AT A DEALER AWAITING DIAGNOSIS.
THE STEERING COLUMN SQUEAKS WHEN TURNING WHETHER IT'S LEFT OR RIGHT TURN. ACCELERATING ONLY 20 MPH AT 2,000 RPM AT THE START OF A GREEN LIGHT FROM A COMPLETE STOP ON RED OR IT JERKS WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER A STOP AT A RED LIGHT LIKE IT HAS DIFFICULTY SHIFTING OUT OF 1ST GEAR.

EVERY TIME I TURN ON THE HEAT FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER AND VICE VERSA, IT MAKES A LOUD CLICKING AND CLACKING SOUND THAT LASTS FOR ABOUT A MINUTE AND IT IS LOUD ENOUGH TO BE HEARD OUTSIDE THE CAR. STARTED AROUND 10,000 MILES. 3. WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE DASH STARTS CHIMING AND DISPLAYING THE OIL PRESSURE IS LOW AND TO STOP THE ENGINE. I STOPPED AND CHECKED THE OIL AND IT LOOKED FINE. THIS IS ONGOING AND IS FRUSTRATING. STARTED AROUND 125,000 MILES. 4. I AM BEGINNING TO NOTICE THAT ALL OF THE ABOVE DEFECTS OCCUR ONCE MY CAR REACHES A CERTAIN MILE.

IN DECEMBER MY CAR WHILE DRIVING, I EXPERIENCED REDUCED ENGINE POWER THE SPEED IMMEDIATELY DROPPED WITHOUT WARNING AND THE CAR CUT OFF. I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF HIGHWAY TRAFFIC PRAYING THAT WE WOULD NOT BE HIT WHEN EVERYONE IS DOING 70 MPH. WHEN THE REDUCED POWER LIGHT COMES ON THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON ALONG WITH THE TRACTION LIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO ONLY BE TOLD THAT THEY ARE NOT 100% SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, BUT I CAN START BY REPLACING THE PCM MODULE AND THAT MAY OR MAY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A CHEVY DEALERSHIP NOT KNOWING WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEY CARS. ESPECIALLY A CAR THAT IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH SO MANY OF ITS CAR ACROSS THE NATION. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN INCONVENIENCE SINCE DECEMBER AS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR AFTER HAVING THIS ISSUE AND NOT FEELING CONFIDENT IN $1,000 REPAIR THAT THE DEALERSHIP THEMSELVES ARE NOT SURE IS GOING TO FIX THE ISSUE. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM IN HOPES OF GETTING A SOLUTION AND SOLID PLAN. I THINK THAT GM NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS ISSUE AND FOUND A GOOD SOLID SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AND NOT GUESSING FIXES TO MAKE MONEY. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE LIVES ARE BEING PUT IN DANGER. LIKE I FELT MINE WAS WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE LINE ON A HIGHWAY, WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 70 MPH AND YOUR CAR REDUCE POWER AND THEN SHUT DOWN.
