IN OCTOBER 2014 I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOING TO WORK AND THE CAR WENT FROM 65 TO 20, THEN IT STARTED SHAKING. I PULLED OVER AND THE CAR WAS FINE. I GOT BACK IN THE CAR AND IT DID THE SAME THING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. I WAS ALREADY WORKING WITH GM ON THE SAME ISSUE AND NOTHING WAS DONE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO DAVE'S MUFFLERS IN FEBRUARY 2015 AND THEY FIXED THE THROTTLE BODY. 6 MONTHS LATER I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. DAVE'S MUFFLERS SAID THEY ORDERED THE PART FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND I JUST GOT THE CAR FIXED IN FEBRUARY 2015. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AND MY FAMILY COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THERE IS A SITE WITH NUMEROUS OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS WITH THIS VEHICLE AND A RECALL REALLY NEEDS TO BE ISSUED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED.

THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE MILE MARKER SIGNS AND A DITCH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A BROKEN RIB ON THE RIGHT AND NECK BURN FROM THE SEAT, FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A FRACTURED VERTEBRAE IN THE LOWER BACK. 2007 CHEVY IMPALA WILL HAVE THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. THE WARNING "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" WILL COME ON, ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. YOU CANNOT ACCELERATE, THE CAR SHAKES, AND IS DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. HAD THE GAS PEDAL AND THE EQUIVALENT PART IN THE ENGINE REPLACED (AT DIFFERENT TIMES) AND HAD THE CODES COME UP IN BETWEEN THE PARTS BEING REPLACED AND STILL NOW. TOOK IT INTO A CHEVY DEALER AND IT DOESN'T ACT UP FOR THEM. AND FOR WHATEVER REASON THEIR COMPUTER DOESN'T SHOW ANY PROBLEMS. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON DIFFERENT WEBSITES. I CALLED GM AND HAVE A CASE OPENED TO GET HELP FROM THEM. IT'S EXTREMELY SCARY TO HAVE THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED WHILE DRIVING AND IT'S VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU CAN'T MANEUVER OR ACCELERATE. *TR

MY COMPLAINT CONCERNS MY 2007 CHEVY IMPALA TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFTER IS LOCKING IN PARK.. I COULD NOT DEPRESS THE BUTTON ON THE FLOOR SHIFTER, TO SHIFT TO REVERSE. I TRIED TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL WHICH OF COURSE IS LOCKED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK. I AM WORRIED THAT NEXT TIME IT WILL NOT GET UNSTUCK. ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 12TH I HAD A REAR TIRE BLOWOUT WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. UPON CLOSER INSPECTION, BOTH OF THE REAR TIRES, WHICH WERE BOTH PURCHASED NEW APPROXIMATELY 18 MONTHS AGO, WERE EXTREMELY PAPER THIN ON THE INSIDES OF THE TIRE. THE CAUSE OF THIS UNUSUAL WEAR WAS DUE TO FAULTY SPINDLE RODS.

NOW IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN THIS MORNING, AND THE MECHANIC DOESN'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT BECAUSE IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY SO HE CAN'T DIAGNOSE IT UNLESS IT DOES IT WHILE THE CAR IS IN HIS POSSESSION.
