SLIP IN TORQUE CONVERSION AROUND 30 TO 45. ALSO, YOU'LL BE TAKING OFF FROM A STOP AND WHEN YOU START TO PRESS THE GAS IT DELAYS, THEN SLAMS INTO MOTION ALMOST LIKE BEING HIT FROM BEHIND. * DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SITE. A/C FAILURE TO A 2007 IMPALA LT CHEVROLET SEDAN. SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT LED TO DISCOVERY OF BROKEN SERPENTINE BELT. A/C COMPRESSOR HAD SEIZED MAKING VEHICLE IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE. ALL CONTROL OF VEHICLE HAPPENED AS PULLING INTO PARKING SPACE. TOW TO REPAIR STATION WHERE COMPLETE A/C WAS REPLACED. MILEAGE AT 41,988. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" MESSAGE CAME ON FOLLOWED BY "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". IT SLOWS DOWN MY VEHICLE AND SOMETIMES I CANNOT EVEN ACCELERATE WHEN THESE MESSAGES APPEAR. THEY ALWAYS COME ON TOGETHER AND EVERY SINGLE TIME I DRIVE. SOMETIMES RIGHT AWAY, SOMETIMES AFTER I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR AWHILE. IT USE TO NOT HAPPEN WHEN I WAS USING MY CRUISE CONTROL BUT NOT EVEN WHEN THAT IS ON IT HAPPENS.
2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE JERKED WHILE DRIVING, THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS CLUCKING, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING *TGW THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONSUMER THE AIR INLET ACTUATOR AND SPEED SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, IN WET CONDITIONS, HE WOULD LOSE CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL. IN SOME CASES, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD SUDDENLY LOCK, MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
CAR PURCHASED USED WITH NEW TIRES IN MARCH OF 2009. IN APRIL OF 2010 REAR TIRES HAD SEVERE WEAR ON INSIDE TREAD THAT CAUSED BELTS TO SHOW. FOUR NEW TIRES WERE INSTALLED AND A FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS DONE. 11 MONTHS LATER REAR TIRES SHOWED THE SAME WEAR, INSIDE OF TIRE. WAS TOLD THERE WAS A SAFETY BULLETIN FROM GM BUT DIDN'T COVER MY CAR SINCE IT WAS NOT A POLICE VERSION. WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT GM KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HAS COME OUT WITH A CAMBER KIT TO FIX PROBLEM BUT I HAD TO PURCHASE IT AND HAVE IT INSTALLED. WHEN ASKED WHY IF IT WAS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT WITH THE VEHICLE CAUSING PREMATURE TIRE WEAR I WAS HAVING TO PAY FOR IT WAS BRUSHED OFF. CALLED CHEVROLET AND FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING THE MATTER AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A MAINTENANCE ISSUE AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. CHEVY KNOWS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR/FIX PROBLEM AND IS INSTEAD PUSHING THIS OFF ON THE CONSUMER. EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR IS A SAFETY PROBLEM AND I GUESS PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE FOR ACTION TO BE TAKEN. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SWITCHING THE AIR CONDITIONER FROM THE FRESH OUTSIDE AIR CIRCULATION TO REGULAR AIR CONDITIONING, THE UNIT WOULD EXHIBIT AN ABNORMALLY LOUD SOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRESH AIR DOOR ACTUATOR WAS FAULTY AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
FIRST, WHEN I SLOW DOWN TO TURN A CORNER, I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS. AFTER THE TURN, WHEN I PRESS THE GAS I HAVE NO POWER. IT DOESN'T DIE, IT JUST WON'T GO ANYWHERE FOR ABOUT 15-20 SECONDS, NO POWER. THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A LONG TIME UNLESS YOU ARE SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION. I HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP FOR ABOUT 20-30 SECONDS, THEN TAKE OFF. SOMETIMES IT GOES, BUT FEELS LIKE IT JERKS INTO GEAR. THAT'S OK AT STOP SIGNS BUT STOP LIGHTS THAT TURN GREEN AS I APPROACH CAN BE DANGEROUS. ALSO, IF I TURN A CORNER ONTO ANOTHER STREET, IT HESITATES. AND SOMETIMES I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. PEOPLE EXPECT YOU TO TURN AND PROCEED. WHEN YOU JUST STOP, THEY MAY NOT. I ALSO NOTICED ONE DAY, WHEN I JUST COAST ON A LEVEL ROAD, MY CAR SOMETIMES ACCELERATES FOR QUITE A WHILE, INSTEAD OF SLOWING DOWN IMMEDIATELY. I ONCE TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS AT 45 MPH AND COASTED ON FLAT ROAD FOR 2.5 MILES. THE LATEST RELATED PROBLEM IS.. SPRING 2013, TWICE, I TURNED A CORNER AND IT JUST DIED. I HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, IT CRANKED BACK UP. THANKFULLY, I WAS ON A CITY STREET AND NOT A FOUR LANE ROAD. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH PARKING. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES AND PULL INTO PARKING SPOT. WHEN I PUT IT IN PARK, IT LUNGES FORWARD. OR IF I STOP IN TRAFFIC, SOMETIMES IT LUNGES AFTER IT STOPS. I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT I LEAVE PLENTY OF ROOM IN FRONT FOR THIS PROBLEM. I THINK IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE COMPUTER ALLOWING THE GAS TO FLOW OR STOP. 2007 CHEVY IMPALA EXHIBITS SEVERE WEAR ON TWO INCHES OF INTERIOR REAR TIRES DUE TO FACTORY ERROR.(DIFFICULT TO SEE UNLESS YOU DO A VISUAL INSPECTION) BOTH REAR TIRES EXPOSED STEEL BELTS WITH ONE BLOWING OUT AT 62 MPH. I WOULD HAVE DIED IF ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY AS CAR WAS OUT OF CONTROL. CHEVY AND G.M. ARE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN PROGRAM BULLETIN 08032 AND WILL ONLY REPAIR "POLICE" VEHICLES. REGULAR IMPALAS USE IDENTICAL DEFECTIVE PARTS. MY TIRES WERE PROFESSIONALLY ROTATED AND BALANCED AT 3840,5724,7822,8087 MILES DRIVEN AND BLEW OUT AT 33,062 MICHELIN "X" TIRES RATED 65,000 MILE-MY OTHER CAR HAD SAME TIRES LASTED 80,000MI.). REAR SPINDLE RODS PART NUMBERS10329689 (2) AND 10329691 (2) NEED TO BE REPLACED AS NOTED ON BULLETIN 08032 BY G.M AND THEY SELL A COMPLETE KIT TO CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE.THIS IS A $600 TO $700 REPAIR PLUS NEW TIRES G.M. WILL NOT REPLACE ANYTHING STATING THIS ONLY APPLIES TO POLICE VEHICLES. BUT ALL PART NUMBERS ARE THE SAME ON POLICE AND REGULAR IMPALAS. PLEASE USE ALL OF YOUR RESOURCES TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS DEADLY PROBLEM. WRITE TO YOUR CONGRESSMEN, STATE REPS. AND ANY ONE ELSE THAT WILL GET THE MESSAGE OUT AND TRY TO HELP SAVE A LIFE. MANY REPORTS I'VE READ SAY AN ALIGNMENT WON'T DO, THE PARTS UPGRADE KITS MUST BE INSTALLED OR CONDITION WILL PERSIST, TIRES WILL WEAR QUICKLY. *TR
NO SIGNS OF FAILURE UNTIL PUT CAR IN PARK. TRIED TO PUT BACK INTO DRIVE AND SHIFT LEVER WOULD NOT MOVE. READ OWNERS MANUAL AND TRIED THEIR RECOMMENDATION, DID NOT WORK. FOUND THE GROUND WIRE FOR THE BTSI HAD BROKE DO TO FAULTY WIRING AT FACTORY, YET CHEVY WILL NOT COVER THE EXPENSE. REPAIR COST $165.60. IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN IN COLD TEMPS, AN EMERGENCY, AT A TRAIN STOP OR ANYWHERE LIKE THAT IT COULD BE LIFE THREATENING SINCE THEIR IS NO OVERRIDE OTHER THAN TEARING APART CONSOLE TO HIT THE MANUAL RESET. THEIR IS ALSO A TECHNICAL BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE, TELLING ME IT HAPPENS QUITE FREQUENTLY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VEER OUT OF LANE THAT THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING IN WITHOUT INTENT. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOUR TIMES REGARDING THE DEFECT. THE REAR TIRES WERE REPLACED TWICE AND THE REAR BRAKES WERE ALSO REPLACED TWICE. THERE WAS A VOLUNTARY RECALL ISSUED BY THE MANUFACTURER PERTAINING TO THE REAR SPIN ROD ON THE 2007-2008 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES AND THE 2008 CHEVROLET IMPALA POLICE CRUISERS. THE CONTACT DID NOT CONFIRM IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
LETTER TO THE ADMINISTRATOR FROM REPORTING TRANSMISSION SLIPS INTERMITTENTLY IN HIS 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA SS *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM USUALLY HAPPENED WHEN STARTING FROM A STANDSTILL OR WHILE MOVING AT A SLOW SPEED. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR AN INSPECTION WHERE THEY CHECKED THE SHIFT POINTS, CHECKED THE COMPUTER FOR FAULTS AND INSTALLED A SOFTWARE UPDATE IN THE COMPUTER. THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS IN SATISFACTORY CONDITION. THE DEALER STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO OBSERVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. *JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES AND REAR STRUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. UPON RETURNING FROM A TRIP, THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE TIRE WAS FLAT. WHILE INFLATING THE TIRE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT WIRING WAS COMING OUT OF THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCATION OF THE TIRE MANUFACTURER, WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR STRUTS WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH A HEAVIER DUTY POLICE ISSUED SUSPENSION SYSTEM WHICH CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER OF THE VEHICLE WAS THEN NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ACTUALLY NOT EQUIPPED WITH THE POLICE DUTY SUSPENSION SYSTEM. CAR DOES NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK WITH BRAKES APPLIED AND IGNITION ON. *TR
DURING THE RECENT SNOW STORM, I DISCOVERED THAT MY VEHICLE CONSTANTLY SKIDDED AND THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE SWAYED BACK AND FORTH WHEN GOING OVER ICE OR SNOW AT A SPEED AS LOW AS 15 MPH. DUE TO THIS PROBLEM, I WAS ALMOST INVOLVED IN MORE THAN ONE TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS. I JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE 3 MONTHS AGO AND NOW FEEL VERY UNSAFE DRIVING IT. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. SINCE THIS IS SO UNSAFE, THIS VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED AND THE PROBLEM CORRECTED. HOW CAN I GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED? I HATE TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF SELLING THE VEHICLE DUE TO A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. *LN

2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA LTZ WEARS REAR TIRES ON THE INSIDE OF THE TIRE AND CAN CAUSE TIRE FAILURE. THE CAR TENDS TO SKID SIDE WAYS ON WET PAVEMENT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF TIRE CONTACT WITH PAVEMENT. *TR
2007 IMPALA HAS BAD REAR END ALIGNMENT, NEW TIRES BOUGHT IN JANUARY 2011, ALREADY SHOWING UNEVEN WEAR ON REAR TIRES ONLY. THE DAMAGE IS ON THE INNER PART OF THE REAR TIRES. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY OUT OF MY POCKET FOR THE REAR CAM KIT TO BE INSTALLED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
I HAD MY TRANSMISSION REPAIRED WHEN THE TECHNICIAN REALIZED MY BRAND NEW TIRES WERE WORN TO THE CORDS ON THE INSIDE. THEY SAID IT WAS THE SHOCKS AND STRUTS . WHEN THEY CALLED TO GET THE WARRANTY TO COVER THE PROBLEM THE WARRANTY INSPECTOR SAID IT WASN'T THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM WAS AN ALIGNMENT PROBLEM THAT REQUIRED HOLES TO BE DRILLED AND A BOLT BE PUT IN. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT GM KNOWS ABOUT BECAUSE THEY HAVE A KIT BUT THE WARRANTY CONSIDERS THIS AN UPDATE NOT A PROBLEM. I HAVE TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM AND REPLACE NEW TIRES. I WANT TO KNOW WHY GM ISN'T RECALLING THE CAR TO PUT THESE BOLTS IN. *LN
VEHICLE PERFORMED POORLY OVER 35 MPH ON HIGHWAY WITH THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE SWAYING EXCESSIVELY DURING SNOWY OR WET CONDITIONS. THE TIRES ON THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE WORE PREMATURELY ON THE INSIDE . I PURCHASED FOUR SETS OF NEW BACK TIRES IN A SPAN OF 4 MONTHS AND HAD TO HAVE TWO ALIGNMENTS DONE AT SEPARATE TIMES BECAUSE THE FIRST DIDN'T INITIALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. IT CAME TO A POINT THAT I WAS FRIGHTENED TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE DURING SNOWY OR WET CONDITIONS IN FEAR OF CAUSING A MAJOR ACCIDENT. I HAVE SPENT ROUGHLY $700 ON THIS ISSUE AND BELIEVE IT COULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED IF GM WOULD HAVE ADDRESSED THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE PROBLEM INITIALLY. *TR
2007 CHEVY IMPALA - REAR SUSPENSION PROBLEM RESULTS IN DANGEROUS STABILITY ISSUES IN ICE, SNOW, AND RAIN. THE REAR END OF THE CAR SLIDES AROUND MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STAY ON THE ROAD AND IN MY LANE. ALSO RESULTS IN UNEVEN AND FAST TIRE WEAR. GM HAS ADMITTED THERE IS AN ISSUE (BULLETIN 08032), BUT WILL ONLY APPLY TO GOVERNMENT CARS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR CONCERNS WITH THE FRONT SUSPENSION. THE DEALERS WERE UNABLE TO LOCATE OF DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. LATE WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS DRIVING ALONGSIDE HIM. THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE AND SUSPENSION COMPONENTS FRACTURED FROM THE VEHICLE, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO GO AIRBORNE AND LAND ON THE FRACTURED PARTS. THE CONTACT AND A PASSENGER WERE INJURED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO CENTER AND WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
LEFT (DRIVERS SIDE) REAR DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE AFTER OPENING. WHEN SHUT, THE DOOR BOUNCES BACK OPEN. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE THE DOOR, IT WILL CLOSE. WHEN YOU GET IN AND PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE, THE DOOR WILL OPEN AND WARNING LIGHTS WILL COME ON TELLING YOU THE LEFT REAR DOOR IS OPEN. THIS HAS HAPPENED FOR ABOUT THE PAST MONTH. TO THE POINT NOW WHERE I WON'T EVEN OPEN THE DOOR BECAUSE THERE IS NO GUARANTEE IT WILL CLOSE AGAIN. MY AIR BAG LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON FOR NO REASON, MY TIRE SENSOR LIGHT COMES ON AS WELL EVEN WHEN THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH MY TIRES, MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON I GOT IT SERVICED AND ITS STILL ON , MY SEAT BELTS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY , MY HEAT AND AIR DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY AS WELL THERE'S SO MUCH WRONG WITH MY CAR AND I HAVE SPENT SO MUCH MONEY FIXING IT AND THE SAME PROBLEMS STILL OCCUR. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, A MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED SAYING "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" AND "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". I WAS USING CRUISE CONTROL AND IT SHUT OFF AFTER THE MESSAGES WERE DISPLAYED AND I WAS UNABLE TO STAY AT THE SPEED LIMIT OR ACCELERATE QUICKLY IF NEEDED. IN ANOTHER INCIDENT, I WAS DRIVING AND THE TWO MESSAGES DISPLAYED AND A FEW MINUTES LATER THE ENGINE SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING AND THE ENGINE WAS NOT RESPONDING. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE CAR RUNNING AGAIN WAS TO SHUT IT OFF AND WAIT SEVERAL MINUTES UNTIL IT WOULD START AGAIN. *KB
THE 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA IS AN EXTREMELY UNSAFE AUTOMOBILE IN WET OR SNOW/ICE CONDITIONS, EVEN SAND OR SALT; THIS CAR IS THE WORST HANDLING AUTOMOBILE POSSIBLY EVER DESIGNED BY GM. THE IMPALA'S REAR END SLIDES LEFT OR RIGHT WITH ONLY A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF DEBRIS,WATER, OR SNOW ON THE ROAD. THIS IS NOT JUST A LITTLE SLIP NOW AND AGAIN, IT IS UNCONTROLLABLE AND AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD. EVERY PERSON THAT HAS HAD ANY DEALINGS WITH THIS TYPE OF CAR WILL TELL YOU THE SAME THING. ASK ANY MECHANIC, DEALERSHIP, TIRE SALES REP, AND MOST OF ALL, A 2007 CHEVY IMPALA OWNER AND ALL WILL ATTEST TO THE POOR DESIGN OF THIS CAR. MY WIFE AND I WILL NOT, OR SHOULD SAY CANNOT, DRIVE THIS CAR WHEN THERE IS ANY SIGN OF RAIN OR SNOW IN THE FORECAST. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT THIS CAR. NOT ONLY IS THERE A HANDLING PROBLEM, BUT TIRE WEAR IS ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE. THE ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS ARE AT SUCH EXTREMES THAT TIRES ARE RUINED IN 10,000 MILES OR LESS. WHEN LOOKING AT THE CAR FROM THE REAR, THE IMPALA'S WHEELS TILT IN TO THE POINT IT LOOKS AS THOUGH THEY COULD COLLAPSE INWARD UNDER THE CAR. I HAVE HAD THE DEALERSHIP AND TWO DIFFERENT ALIGNMENT SHOPS CHECK THE ALIGNMENT AND ALL SAY THE SAME; THE CAR IS WITHIN SPECS AND TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL AS THAT THE HANDLING OF THESE CARS ARE UNSAFE. WHAT GIVES? DOES IT TAKE A FATALITY TO OCCUR BEFORE GM WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS DESIGN FLAW? PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER, LIVES DEPEND ON IT. FIRST SNOW STORM I DROVE THIS CAR IN, THE CARS REAR END SLIDES ALL OVER THE ROAD. I HAVE DRIVEN IN SNOW ALL MY LIFE AND THIS WAS THE SCARIEST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER DROVE IN SLICK WEATHER. I CHANGED THE TIRES BELIEVING THIS WAS THE PROBLEM ONLY TO SEE THAT THE REAR TIRES ARE BOTH WEARING ON THE INSIDE. AFTER HAVING THIS CAR FOR OVER A YEAR THE REAR END FEELS LIKE IT SLIDES BACK AND FORTH AND IS AT ITS WORST IN RAIN AND ESPECIALLY SNOW. I SEE THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS KIND FOR THIS CAR. THE REAR END SLIDING AROUND AND THE INNER TIRES ON THE REAR END WEARING OUT QUICKLY. I REALLY LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS CAR AND I HAVE A TRUCK THAT I DRIVE DURING BAD WEATHER. THE REAR DEFOGGER DOES NOT WORK. NOTHING HAPPENED, IT JUST QUIT WORKING. WHEN YOU PUSH THE REAR DEFOGGER BUTTON ON THE FRONT PANEL, THE LIGHT LIGHTS UP SHOWING IT IS WORKING, BUT IT ISN'T WORKING ON THE REAR WINDOW. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT EITHER CARBON WAS STUCK IN THE VALVE OR THE SOLENOID WAS FULL OF WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ALSO, THE CABLE TO THE BATTERY WAS CORRODED. TWO MECHANICS INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CAUSED BY NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 73,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 66,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 86, 000.
MY HEADLIGHTS CONTINUALLY FLICKER ALMOST CONSTANTLY, ALONG WITH THE DASH LIGHTS. SOMETIMES THEY ALMOST GO OUT. THEY SEEM TO BE WORSE WHEN I AM ACCELERATING. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. DRIVES ME CRAZY, CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE THEM FIXED.
