TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR ACTUATORS FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED INTO GEAR, THE ACTUATORS WOULD LOCK THE DOORS. ALSO, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND PLACED IN PARK, THE DOOR ACTUATORS WOULD UNLOCK THE DOORS. THE FUNCTION NO LONGER OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
STABILITY/TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM ACTIVATES FOR NO REASON. THIS CAUSES A SPONTANEOUS MAJOR REDUCTION IN ENGINE POWER. THIS HAPPENED WHILE PASSING A SEMI-TRACTOR TRAILER ON AN INTERSTATE. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STOP. SHUTTING THE ENGINE OFF FOR SEVERAL MINUTES APPARENTLY ALLOWED THE SYSTEM TO RESET. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES SINCE. HAD I BEEN PASSING ON A 2-LANE ROAD, IT VERY LIKELY COULD HAVE CAUSED A HEAD-ON COLLISION. *TR
WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING (WITH MY THREE KIDS AS PASSENGERS) AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED IN THE DASHBOARD "REDUCED ENGINE POWER" AND "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" MESSAGES WERE DISPLAYED. THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY LAST POWER AND THE SPEED WAS REDUCED TO LESS THAN 30 MPH, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. SHE WAS ABLE TO NAVIGATE TO THE SHOULDER AND CALL ME FOR ASSISTANCE. BY THE TIME I GOT THERE AND STARTED THE ENGINE IT WAS RUNNING NORMALLY EXCEPT FOR THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT WAS LIT. I TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP WHO IMMEDIATELY STATED IT WAS A FAULTY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL AND WOULD COST $580 TO REPLACE. I SEARCHED ON-LINE AND FOUND DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS EXACTLY LIKE THIS ONE FOR 2008-2012 MODEL IMPALAS'. THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM SO THE CUSTOMERS ARE GETTING CHARGED TO FIX THIS FAULTY CHEVROLET DEVICE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED IF THEY DO NOT RECALL THIS DEVICE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON I95 MERGING ONTO 175 IN COLUMBIA, MD, MY SPEED WAS 65MPH. MY "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" LIGHT AND "REDUCED ENGINE POWER" LIGHT CAME ON AND MY CAR SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE CAR, COULD NOT APPLY BRAKES. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED THE IGNITION SWITCH TO OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES. LUCKILY THERE WASN'T ANY TRAFFIC BEHIND ME CAUSE THEY WOULD HAVE HIT ME AND KILLED ME. I WAITED ABOUT 5-10 MIN TURNED THE CAR ON PROCEEDED TO MY DESTINATION. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT BOB BELL CHEVROLET ON KANE STREET IN BALTIMORE. I WAS SEVERAL MILES FROM THERE THEY COULDN'T COME GET THE CAR SO I DROVE IT TO THEM. THEY HAD MY CAR APPROXIMATELY 2-3 DAYS AND COULD NOT REPLICATE THE INCIDENT. SINCE THIS TIME IT HAS HAPPENED 8-10 TIMES OR MORE SINCE MAY 11, 2014 I'VE CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WAS TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT, THEY CAN LOOK AT IT, NO CODES REGISTERED IN DECEMBER WHEN THEY LOOKED AT IT SO THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG. THEY WANT ME TO BRING MY CAR IN BUT DON'T WANT TO GIVE ME A RENTAL. THIS IS TOO DANGEROUS. I AM SCARED EVERYTIME I GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF MY CAR. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN HWY 50 ON A CLEAR DRY DAY AND THE ENGINE LITE COMES ON WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING, SAYING ENGINE POWER REDUCED. THEN THE POWER SHUT OFF INCLUDING THE STEERING CAUSING ME TO PULL THE CAR OFF INTO THE DIRT OFF THE FREEWAY. DUE TO THIS MY FRONT BUMPER GOT CRACKED. THIS PROBLEM IS NOW A RE-OCCURRING PROBLEM. *TR

MY ISSUE WAS THAT I WAS FOUR MONTHS INTO DRIVING MY NEW 2009 CHEVY IMPALA AND WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 60 MPH MY CAR SHOWED FLASHING SIGNAL READING "ENGINE REDUCED SPEED" "CHECK STABILITRACK " AND MY CHECK ENGINE WAS ON. THE CAR THEN STOPPED ACCELERATING AND DROPPED TO 45 MPH IMMEDIATELY. I WAS NEARLY REAR ENDED WITH MY SON IN THE CAR. AFTER RESEARCHING AND HEARING COMPLAINTS ABOUT GM AND HOW THEY ARE NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE AND ACTUALITY CHARGING PEOPLE TO FIX THEIR DEFECT. THEIR ARE NUMEROUS BLOGS AND VIDEOS PROVING THIS. I STARTED MY CAR AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS BOTH CAME ON. MY BACK TIRES THEN BEGAN TO SPIN WHEN DRIVING AND THE CAR MADE A SCARY NOISE. *TR
I WENT TO A STORE AND WHEN I CAME BACK OUT TO LEAVE IT WOULDN'T SHIFT OUT OF PARK. SO, TO GET IT OUT OF PARK I HAVE TO REACH INTO THE CONSOLE FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO PUSH THE RELEASE BUTTON WHILE IT'S IN NEUTRAL WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON. I HAVE HAD TO DO THIS EVERY TIME I USE THE CAR. IT'S A SAFETY CONCERN TO BE LAYING DOWN IN MY PASSENGER SIDE--NO MATTER WHERE I'M AT, TO GET MY CAR INTO GEAR SO I CAN GET TO WORK, ETC. I SEE BY OTHER WEBSITES THAT THIS IS A ROUTINE PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR. APPARENTLY THE WIRES ARE NOT MADE WELL ENOUGH TO WITHSTAND A FEW THOUSAND MILES OF USE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL AND THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE FLUCTUATED. THE MESSAGE BOARD ALSO DISPLAYED LOW OIL AND CAR LOWERING SPEED BEFORE THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WHEN I PRESSED DOWN ON MY ACCELERATOR PEDAL (SPEED LIMIT WAS INCREASING FROM 50MPH TO 65MPH), A MESSAGE OF "STARTING DISABLED. SERVICE THROTTLE" CAME UP ON THE DASH. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND STEERING WHEEL COMPLETELY LOCKED UP AND THE CAR STARTED TO DECELERATE. I WAS ABLE TO FORCE THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO TURN ONTO A SIDE STREET (NARROWLY AVOIDING A CAR STOPPED IN THE LEFT LANE TO TURN) AND PARK THE VEHICLE IN A LOCATION OUT OF THE MAIN LANE OF TRAFFIC. HAD THIS SIDE STREET NOT BEEN THERE AT THAT EXACT MOMENT, THE POSSIBILITY OF A CRASH WOULD BE VERY LIKELY AS STEERING WAS UNRESPONSIVE AND I MAY HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED DUE TO THE SUDDEN LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE ENGINE REDUCE POWER LIGHT CAME ON AND SECONDS LATER THE CAR LOST POWER. THIS HAS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES. TODAY 1/30/14 THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD! I'VE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE, PEOPLE ARE SPENDING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS THINKING THE ISSUE IS BEING FIXED AND THE PROBLEM IS NEVER FIXED. AT THIS POINT IT LOOKS LIKE 100 OF PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO LOSE THEIR LIFE BEFORE A RECALL TAKES PLACE. AS A SINGLE PARENT (MY CHILDREN'S ONLY LIVING PARENT) THIS ISSUE SHAKE ME TO MY SOUL! *TR
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ON. DEALER SAYS THE SEAT BELT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO A BAD SENSOR IN IT. I WAS TOLD THEY SEE THIS PROBLEM A LOT ON THIS MODEL. I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD THE BAGS WON'T DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT UNLESS THIS IS FIXED. I SIMPLY CANNOT AFFORD IT AND THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. *TR
CHECK AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT APPEARS AND "CHECK AIR BAG" APPEARS IN DRIVER INFO CENTER SOON AFTER STARTING DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS USED, NOT INTERMITTENTLY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ANTI-FREEZE FUMES WERE ENTERING THE VEHICLE AND THE LOWER ENLIST LINE WAS REPLACED. MOST RECENTLY, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE CROSS OVER GASKET, CRANK TIMING COVER SEAL AND THE LOWER ENLIST LINE WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
WHILE DRIVING I KEEP GETTING MESSAGE STATING REDUCE ENGINE POWER AND THE CAR WILL START SKING AND LOWERING SPEED. THERE ALSO IS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ALL THE TIME WITH A ANY REASON AND THEN THEY WILL START WORKING AGAIN. I EVEN GOT PULLED OVER ONCE OVER THIS ISSUE. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS THAT SUPPLIES POWER TO THE REAR DEFOGGER WAS MELTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 71,000.
I HAVE GOTTEN THE BLEND DOOR / AIR DOOR ACTUATOR CHANGED ABOUT 8 OR 9 MONTHS AGO. ONCE THE UNLOCK BUTTON IS PRESSED THE TICKING NOISE BEGINS TO GO ,OFF IT MAY GO FOR 3 MINUTES OR LONGER BUT IT WILL EVENTUALLY STOP, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MY CAR HAVING AN ISSUE BUT WHEN I DID SOME RESEARCH I DISCOVERED THAT IT'S ALOT OF IMPALAS ON OTHER IMPALAS AS WELL EVEN BY WORD OF MOUTH PEOPLE HEAR THE NOISE AND SOME PEOPLE HAVE STATED THAT THEIR CAR USE TO MAKE THE SAME NOISE. *TR
I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH MY 2009 IMPALA. FROM THE VERY BEGINNING WITH ONLY 100+ MILES ON IT AND THE PROBLEMS CONTINUE TODAY. THE DASH WILL SAY REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND AS I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT 55 MILES AN HOUR MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND JUST SAT THERE WONDERING WHAT WAS GOING ON. IT WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING, IT WAS JUST COMPLETELY OFF. I WAS ABOUT TO CALL FOR AAA AND TRIED ONE MORE TIME AND IT STARTED. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN IN NOVEMBER OF 2013 AS WELL AND I WAS GOING 45 ON A COUNTRY RD. AGAIN I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE AND SAT THERE AND WAITED AGAIN. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE CAR WILL DO NOTHING. I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY TRACTION CONTROL, MAKING A STRANGE GRINDING TYPE NOISE AND BOGS THE CAR DOWN FROM MOVING WHEN I AM TRYING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP OR TRYING TO TURN EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY AIR BAG LIGHTS COMING ON AND TELLING ME TO SERVICE MY AIR BAGS. IT COMES ON AND GOES OFF AND COMES ON AND GOES OFF. THE DASH LIGHT WILL COME ON AND TELL ME TO SHUT ENGINE OFF NOW FOR LOW OIL PRESSURE, THIS HAS HAPPENED FOR 4 YEARS, THE CAR IS 5 YEARS OLD. THIS CAR WAS NEVER A GOOD CAR FROM THE VERY DAY IT CAME OFF THE LOT. *TR
I WAS AT A STOP SIGN AND THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER, CHECK TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON. THE CODE CAME UP I HAD IT CHECKED IT IS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR THIS CAN BE A VERY DANGEROUS OCCURRENCE .NHTSA PLEASE LOOK AT THESE COMPLAINTS IT IS A 75 DOLLAR PART AND LABOR OF 4 HOURS.IM PAYING FOR PART AND DOING MYSELF I NEED SOME REIMBURSEMENT OR PAYMENT OF THIS TO SHOP. *TR
THIS IS THE 1ST TIME I AM FILING A COMPLAINT, BUT THIS COMPLAINT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES! MY WIFE IS AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR! MY CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON. THE DASH ALTERNATES BETWEEN "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" AND "REDUCED ENGINE POWER." THIS IS REALLY FRIGHTENING ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE ENGINE BEGINS TO REDUCE POWER AND YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY FAST MOVING VEHICLES. THE FAULT HAS BEEN CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES, BUT THE DIAGNOSTIC CHECK REVEALS BOGUS FAULTS UNRELATED TO THE TRACTION CONTROL FAULT. I HAVE LEARNED THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I NEED TO PULL OFF THE ROAD, TURN OFF THE IGNITION, OPEN THE DOOR AND WAIT FOR THE DOME LIGHT TO GO OFF. THEN I CAN RESTART AND GO ON MY WAY. THIS HAPPENS ABOUT ONCE PER MONTH AND HAS DONE IT FOR 2 YEARS. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I CAN AFFORD TO BUY A DIFFERENT VEHICLE. I HAVE TALKED WITH OTHER CHEVROLET OWNERS AND THEY EXPERIENCE THIS SAME FAULT, BUT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL. *TR

THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL AND ENGINE LIGHT IN ORDER TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, TRACTION CONTROL, ENGINE POWER REDUCED WAS DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD. THE CONTACT INDEPENDENTLY REPLACED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON VERY SLIGHTLY THEN OVER A PERIOD REMAINED ON ALL THE TIME. IT WAS THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG THAT NEEDED REPLACEMENT BUT THIS MAKES ALL AIRBAGS INOPERABLE I WAS TOLD. I THEN FILED CASE #[XXX] WITH GM AND AUDIA MOTOR MILLBROOK NY BUT I WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE NOT ON RECALL AND I HAD TO PAY THE ENTIRE $638.01 BECAUSE OF THE MILEAGE CURRENTLY 163,663. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING A CONSUMER SHOULD PAY AS IT IS A BASIC SAFETY DEVICE. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL AIRBAG THAT WAS NEVER DEPLOYED NOR DAMAGED. MY VEHICLE STARTED HAVING A KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE GLOVE BOX AREA OF THE VEHICLE WHICH I FOUND OUT TO BE THE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR. THERE ARE TONS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PART FAILING IN IMPALAS WITH NOT THAT MANY MILES ON THEM. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY SWITCH WAS FAULTY. THE THROTTLE BODY SWITCH WAS REPLACED AND THE DEFECT WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,600.

2009 CHEVY IMPALA 3.5L FFV - MY "PASSENGER AIRBAG" LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON INTERMITTENTLY SINCE EARLY SPRING 2013. IN AUGUST 2013, MY "BRAKE" LIGHT SUDDENLY CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. THERE DIDN'T APPEAR TO BE ANY HANDLING ISSUES. BOTH THE REGULAR BRAKES & PARKING BRAKE WORKED NORMALLY THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WAS FULL. FOR A FEW MONTHS THE "BRAKE" LIGHT WOULD COME ON SPORADICALLY & ALARM WHILE DRIVING, ALL WITHOUT ANY CHANGES IN DRIVING OR BRAKING ABILITY. LOST POWER STEERING AND FINALLY BROUGHT CAR TO A STOP ON LEFT INSIDE OF EXPRESSWAY. AFTER A SHORT TIME SHE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND LIMP HOME. NOTE THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON, BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WAS SET. HAD THE CODES READ THAT INDICATED A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR CAUSED THE FAULT. THERE ARE TWO SENSORS WHICH HAVE TO AGREE AND IF THEY DON'T CAR WILL GO INTO REDUCED POWER MODE. WHEN SHE GOT HOME I FOUND ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE IN THE PAST MOVED THE WIRES ON THE BRAKE FLUID SENSOR TO GET THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO GO OFF. NOT KNOWING EXACTLY HOW ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS ARE TIED TOGETHER, I TEND TO THINK THAT THE CARS COMPUTER IS THE PROBLEM WHICH SETS OFF ALL THE DIFFERENT WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH. I WENT TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THE SERVICE ADVISOR ASKED IF THIS WAS A RECALL ISSUE. I THOUGHT THIS WAS SOME WHAT STRANGE. DURING NORMAL CONDITIONS WARNING LIGHTS FLASH "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" ALONG WITH ABS LIGHT. THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE IN THE FRONT LEFT SIDE WHEEL. ALSO SEAT BELTS LIGHT FLASH. ALREADY REPLACED ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR. *TR
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 2009 CHEVY IMPALA, IT STARTED AT 43K, THE ACCELERATION PEDAL WAS CHANGED WHEN THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER/SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL CAME ON. THEN AGAIN AT 100K SAME PROBLEM, THIS TIME THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WAS A BAD THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. I CHANGED IT, BUT IT CAME BACK AGAIN LESS THEN 3K MILES. I REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AGAIN. 3K LATER SAME THING. THE PROBLEM IS WHEN IT IS RAINING THE THROTTLE SENSORS GO NUTS. I TOOK THE CAR TO ADVANCE AUTO AND READ THE CODES, SAME AS BEFORE, P0121, P2176, THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. ONCE IN A WHILE YOU CAN REMOVE THE BATTER LINES AND UNPLUG THE THROTTLE BODY AND MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR TO GET IT TO RESTART. OTHER TIMES YOU HAVE TO GO TO ADVANCE OR AUTOZONE TO CLEAR THE CODES IN ORDER TO GET IT TO RUN LONG ENOUGH FOR A SUNNY DAY. I HAD ONE OCCURRENCE WERE THE CAR WOULD NOT START AND IT SAID SERVICE THROTTLE POSITION. THE THROTTLE SENSOR NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE GET KILLED. I HAVE RENAMED MY CAR TO THE FORD IMPALA. FOUND ON THE ROAD DEAD IMPALA. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND ENCOUNTERING THE RAILROAD TRACKS, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND RESUMED TO NORMAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
