TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V355000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR HAD NOT YET BEEN MANUFACTURED. BOTH THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE SPECIFIED IN THE RECALL; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE HAD INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS AND THE ENGINE HOT/ AC OFF INDICATOR WOULD ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
STARTED CAR HAD CAR FOR 2YRS NOW NO PROBLEM WHAT SO EVER AND THE SERVICE TRACTION AND STABILITY CONTROL AND ALSO REDUCED ENGINE POWER CAME ON AS WELL AS ENGINE LIGHT IT JERKED WENT IT SHIFTED AND DIDN'T ACT LIKE IT HAD IT POWER AS ALWAYS BUT I JUST DROVE IT 35 MPH TO GET IT HOME THIS I WOULD THINK IS A GREAT BIG SAFETY ISSUE SHOULDN'T GM HAVE A RECALL ON THIS? *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN "REDUCED ENGINE POWER, ENGINE LIGHT,ELECTRONIC STABILI TREK" WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. MY RPM WAS RACING UPWARDS BUT MY ENGINE NEVER RAN HOT. I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE OF THE WARNINGS AND LOST OF ACCELERATION. I GOT HOME AND CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO ADVISED ME OF NO RECALL FOR THAT PROBLEM AND CONNECTED ME TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP REPAIR SHOP AND I MADE AN APPOINTMENT. RESEARCHING THE CAR MALFUNCTION, I FOUND NUMEROUS POSTINGS ABOUT THE AFOREMENTIONED PROBLEM. I TOOK THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND MECHANIC CALLED AND SAID I NEEDED A APP SENSOR / PEDAL WHICH IS A FACTORY ONLY PART. I OK'D THE SERVICE WORK. THE NEXT DAY (APRIL 18TH,2014) THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON BRIEFLY AND THE CAR WAS HESITATING AGAIN, I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP REPAIR SHOP AT 2:35 AND SPOKE WITH MECHANIC THAT REPAIRED MY CAR AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM. MECHANIC ASKED ME IF THE LIGHT WAS STAYING ON I REPLIED NO AND HE STATED THE MECHANICS ARE LEAVING IN HOUR. I ASKED THE MECHANIC IF IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE CAR UNTIL MONDAY, HE REPLIED YES. *TR
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MY DAUGHTER WHO IS [XXX] EXITED TO GO TO MY MOTHERS HOUSE AND THE CAR JUST DIED COMPLETELY OUT OF NO WHERE I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH AND BARELY GOT IT OFF THE ROAD CAR WOULDNT START BACK UP AND WAS FLASHING SERVICE STABILITRAK/ SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL/ AND ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED I HAD TO WAIT 5 MINUTES AND THEN THE CAR STARTED THANK GOD MY WIFE WASNT DRIVING WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD OF HAPPEND BUT IT IS HER CAR AND WE NEED TO GET THIS RESOLVED ASAP BEFORE ANYONE GETS HURT SO IM DRIVING THE IMPALA AND HOPE TO BE SAFE AND LET MY WIFE DRIVE MY CAR PLEASE HELP ASAP WE HAVE A [XXX] GIRL AND TWINS ON THE WAY. IN MAY OF 2013 I RECEIVED A MESSAGE ON MY DASH BOARD ABOUT STABILI TRACK, TRACTION CONTROL AND REDUCED ENGINE SPEED. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE CHEVY DEALER SO I COULD GET A DIAGNOSTIC, AND THEY REPLACED A SENSOR BEHIND MY PEDAL. JUST THIS WEEKEND, SUNDAY APRIL 13, 2014. THE MESSAGE DISPLAYED ACROSS THE DASHBOARD AGAIN. I'M GOING TO CALL THE CHEVY DEALER THAT FIXED IT THE FIRST TIME. THEN I'M GOING TO CALL GM. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS MALFUNCTION IN THESE CARS. FROM VIEWING AND READING OTHER STORIES, THIS IS SOMETHING GM SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT AND ADDRESSED. *JS
WHILE DRIVING DOWN SIDE STREETS, MY CAR LOCKED UP. LATER MY STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. SEEMS TO GRAB AND PULL CAR IN A JERKING MOTION. TURNED OFF CONTROL FOR THE STABILITY BUT AFRAID TO DRIVE ON EXPRESSWAY. *TR
GOODYEAR EAGLE LS2 TIRES. VIBRATION AT 60 MPH CHEV DEALER CHECKED VEHICLE RECENTLY AND SAID THAT IN 3 OF THE 4 TIRES, THE STEEL BANDS HAD SHIFTED AND THAT THE TIRES SHOULD BE REPLACED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND ALL OF THE WARNING LAMPS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WERE 104,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON HWY 41 N IN SOUTH GEORGIA AND MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND 3 MESSAGES COME UP: 1) SERVICE STABILTRAC, 2) SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, 3( ENGINE POWER REDUCING (AND IT DID). THEN THE CAR SEEMS TO WANT TO STOP OR HESITATE LIKE ITS RUNNING OUT OF GAS (STILL HAVE HALF TANK). I BECOME AFRAID I PULL OVER AND PUT CAR IN PARK AND IT'S LIKE THE CAR WANTS TO SHUT OFF BUT IT DOESN'T UNTIL I SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN (WHEN I SLOWED DOWN THE CAR STARTED SHAKING). I BOUGHT THIS CAR LESS THAN SIX MONTHS BACK AND IT HAD ONLY 46,000 MILES ON IT. NOW I HERE SOME RATTLING COMING FROM SOME WHERE AROUND THE WHEEL. I HAVE READ MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO MINE. TODAY 4/2/2014 THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON BUT I DON'T SEE ANY OF THE WARNINGS AND THE CAR HAS NOT HESITATED AS BADLY AS IT DID YESTERDAY. BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE RESEARCHED ON THIS MATTER GM NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL AND ADDRESS THIS MATTER AS IT COULD CAUSE BE THE MAKING OF SOME SERIOUS LAW SUITS. *TR
I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE STABILIZER BAR. OUR ENGINE POWERS DOWN IF THE WIRE BEHIND THE GAS PEDAL GETS LOOSE. THIS HAS HAPPEN TO MY HUSBAND CAR MORE THAN ONCE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE SPEED SENSOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
JULY 2013 HAD HUB BEARINGS REPLACED IN ORDER FOR CAR TO PASS INSPECTION. ISSUE WITH "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" HAD NEVER OCCURRED THE PRIOR WINTERS -- CAR SLOWS DOWN, ENGINE SLOWS DOWN -- THIS JUST STARTED HAPPENING AFTER THE HUB BEARINGS WERE REPLACED. ON MARCH 23, 2014, AFTER PAYING TOLLS ON THE TURNPIKE, THE "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" WARNING AGAIN APPEARED (NO SNOW, NOTHING TO TRIGGER THE WARNING) AND THEN MY CAR STOPPED, NO POWER...THE STEERING LOCKED...FORTUNATELY I WAS GOING SLOW ENOUGH AND SOMEHOW MADE IT TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE. CAR HAD ABSOLUTELY NO POWER...COMPLETELY DEAD. WAITED ABOUT 1/2 HOUR AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART. CALLED GM 3/25 WHO CONTACTED THE DEALER FOR AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME. DEALER NEVER CALLED ME (NOW 4/7/14). I HAVE PLACED ANOTHER CALL TO GM. THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. ASKED GM IF THERE WAS A RECALL AND WAS TOLD NO. I HOPE OTHERS WHO EXPERIENCE THIS WILL FILE COMPLAINTS SO THAT THEY WILL RECALL. HAD I BEEN IN A DIFFERENT LANE, I MAY HAVE HAD SOMEONE CRASH INTO ME AT 65 MPH AND I PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE ALIVE. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. TOO DANGEROUS. *TR

BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE WHEN CHECK ENGINE, STABILITRAK PROBLEM, REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT CAME ON MESSAGE PORTION OF DASH.DROVE UNDER REDUCED POWER, MAX 30 MPH, TO DEALER, APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES. LEFT CAR WITH DEALER FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 DAYS. INVOICE FROM DEALER SAID, DIAGNOSE CODE P2135, TRACE TO THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR-BULLETIN REPLACED SENSOR ASSEMBLY, GM 19300180 SENSOR KIT, NO CHARGE TO ME UNDER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. TODAY, APRIL 30, 2014, SAME WARNING LIGHT CAME ON, STABILITRAK PROBLEM, REDUCED POWER, WHEN BACKING OUT OF SAME GARAGE. PARKED CAR BACK IN GARAGE AND CALLED DEALER, HAVE APPOINTMENT TOMORROW. HOPE THEY CAN PERMANENTLY FIX PROBLEM AS DRIVING UNDER REDUCED POWER IS DANGEROUS AND CAN OCCUR ANYWHERE. *JS
THE THREE REAR SEAT HEADREST ARE WAY TOO LARGE AND HIGH AND BLOCK THE DRIVERS VIEW OUT OF THE REAR WINDOW. EACH ONE OF THE THREE HEADREST BLOCK PART OF THE VIEW OUT OF THE REAR WINDOW. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT DRIVERS OF THIS CAR ARE BEING FORCED TO DEAL WITH. THERE SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING INTERFERING WITH THE VIEW OUT OF THE REAR WINDOW FROM THE DRIVERS SEAT. THE REAR SEAT HEADREST ARE OBVIOUSLY OBSTRUCTING THE DRIVERS VIEW OUT OF THE REAR WINDOW. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE BACKS INTO SOMETHING OR SOMEONE OR CHANGES LANES CAUSING A CRASH ON A HIGHWAY DESTROYING PROPERTY, INJURING OR KILLING SOMEONE. THEN THERE WILL BE A HUGE CIVIL SUIT AND YOU CAN BET THE DRIVER OF THE CAR WILL PREVAIL ESPECIALLY AFTER THIS SAFETY HAZARD HAS BEEN REPORTED TO GM, NHTSA, THE BBB AND OTHERS AND NOTHING WAS DONE TO MANDATE A RECALL TO HAVE THESE HEADREST REMOVED.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD MY CAR LOST SPEED DROP FROM 35 MPH TO 20 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE TRIANGLE WITH THE CAR AND SKID MARKS THEN IT KEPT FLASHING THE SERVICE STABILITRAK CONTROL, ENGINE POWER REDUCED, AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND IT STARTED TO JERK AND JUMP. I HAVE BEEN HAVING MAJOR ISSUES OUT OF THIS CAR FIRST IT WAS THE RIGHT HUB (EATING TIRES), THEN THE LEFT HUB (EATING MORE TIRES), THEN THE TRANSMISSION AND GEAR SHIFT COMPLETELY GONE (REPLACED EVERYTHING) NOW THIS PLUS THE FRONT TIRES ARE STILL GETTING ATE UP. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THIS CHEVY IMPALA. I AM SO READY TO GET A HONDA. AS I SEE THERE ARE OTHER OWNERS THAT ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS. WHY ISN'T IT A RECALL ON THESE PROBLEMS? NOBODY LIKES TOO LOOSE THEIR MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF BY GM IN THE FIRST PLACE. I STARTED MY CAR, AND AS I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES STARTED COMING UP REDUCED ENGINE POWER, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL , SERVICE STABILITY TRACK. I PULLED BACK IN , I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON, THE CAR SEEMED NORMAL AGAIN, I THEN ,STARTED GOING TO WORK, ABOUT A MILE FROM WORK THE SAME MESSAGES STARTED COMING UP AND I DID THE SAME STEPS TURNED THE CAR OFF AND THE TURNED IT ON AGAIN. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND HE STATED IT COULD BE THE THROTTLE BODY, AND THEY HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL CAR. HOWEVER I WAS STATED THAT IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY FOR THIS DEFECT. ARE THEY REAL, THE HAVE MANUFACTURERS DEFECTIVE PART AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS, THAT IS UNFAIR. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SPEED REDUCE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A THROTTLE BODY DEFECT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 27,800. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2011 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED BECAUSE THE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE SERVICE STABILITY PACK AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER CAME ON. THE CAR THEN JERKED, AND SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS STILL DRIVING, AND WOULDN'T START AGAIN UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES LATER. THERE WERE NO WET NOR ROAD HAZARD CONDITIONS THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN. FURTHERMORE, I WAS DRIVING AT 60MPH WHEN THIS OCCURRED IN MODERATE TRAFFIC AND ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED. THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE ISSUE, AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE GAS PEDAL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. SINCE THEN MY VEHICLE HAS DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES. THIS ISSUES NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BECAUSE A LOT OF INDIVIDUALS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH THE IMPALA. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE AN INJURY OR FATALITY FOR A RECALL ON THESE VEHICLES. MOREOVER, ANY VEHICLE THAT SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED BECAUSE OF AN ISSUES WITH THROTTLE BODY/GAS PEDAL NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BECAUSE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. *JS
WHEN SLOWING TO MAKE TURN "TRACTION" WARNING LIGHT FLASHES VEHICLE DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE WHEN PRESSING GAS PEDAL AND THEN JUST TAKES OFF SUDDENLY. *TR

I WAS DRIVING ON I70 GOING 70 MPH AND OUT OF NOWHERE MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND 3 MESSAGES START APPEARING ON THE DASH. 1) SERVICE STABILTRAC, 2) SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, 3( ENGINE POWER REDUCING. MY CAR A 2011 CHEVY IMPALA SLOWS DOWN TO ABOUT 50. I GET IT GOING BACK TO 60 BUT NOT VERY EASILY. I KEEP GOING AND MERGE ONTO 465 (INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA AREA). I COME INTO SLOWER TRAFFIC WHERE I NEED TO STOP. I APPLY MY BREAKS AND THE PEDAL WILL NOT ENGAGE. ALMOST HIT A CAR. ALSO WHEN I SLOWED DOWN THE CAR STARTED SHAKING BAD. I CONTINUE A LITTLE FARTHER IN SLOW TRAFFIC AND HAD TO STOP AGAIN, SAME THING WITH THE BREAKS. SO I PULLED OVER AND SHUT OFF MY CAR ON THE SIDE OF I465. MY DAUGHTER HAD LOOKED UP THE ERROR MESSAGES ON THE INTERNET AND THERE SEEM TO BE A LOT ON THERE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY ALL SAID THE SAME THING, AFTER SHUTTING THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTING IT IT WAS FINE. I MADE IT HOME AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND IT HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIMES SO FAR. ONCE AT A STOP SIGN AND THE SAME DAY AS I WAS BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACE AT WORK. ONCE AGAIN THAT SAME WEEK I WAS DRIVING IN TOWN AND TOOK OFF FROM A RED LIGHT AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. FROM A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR STARTED SHAKING AND THE ERROR MESSAGES AND ENGINE LIGHT COME ON AND IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT NOTHING ABOUT IT EXCEPT TO GET IT FIXED, BUT AFTER READING SO MUCH ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM THERE HAS TO BE AN ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. GM NEEDS TO OWN UP TO THIS PROBLEM BEFORE PEOPLE GET INJURED OR WORSE DIE FROM THIS ISSUE. *TR
VEHICLE DISPLAYS "REDUCED POWER" "SERVICE STABILITRAK SYSTEM". I REPLACED THE THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH (TPS) AND IT HAS CAME BACK AGAIN. SERVICE LIGHT IS ON AND READS P2138, TPS. ON HUNDREDS OF FORUMS PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING OF THIS SAME PROBLEM, SHOULDN'T THIS BE RECALLED? ALSO I EVEN CLEANED THE THROTTLE MOTOR AND POSITION SENSOR UNDER THE HOOD, IT SEEMED TO HELP FOR A LITTLE WHILE. *TR

I DIDN'T FULLY REALIZE THAT THIS MEANT THAT THE THROTTLE WOULD DISABLE ITSELF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN MORNING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE LEFT HAND LANE GOING UP A HILL DOING 60 MPH. THERE WAS TRAFFIC BEHIND ME AND IN OTHER LANE SO I HAD TO PULL INTO THE CENTER SHOULDER OVERTOP OF 5 INCHES OF SNOW AND ICE. IT WAS A STRUGGLE NOT TO HIT THE GUARDRAIL. THERE WAS BARELY ENOUGH ROOM. I JUST MADE IT OVER THE YELLOW LINE. IT WAS 20 DEGREES AND THEN HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR FOR A TOW TRUCK. THE CAR DID START AND DRIVE AT THE GARAGE. THIS MECHANIC REPLACED THE ACCELERATION PEDAL ASSEMBLY. THE ERROR WAS CODE P2122. HE ALSO STATED THAT HE COULD SMELL BURNING WIRES. I HAD SMELLED IT BUT DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT IT WAS. *TR

I STARTED MY CAR AFTER A COLD NIGHT AND IMMEDIATELY GOT A "SERVICE STABILITRAK", "ENGINE POWER REDUCED", AND "SERVICE TRANCE ION CONTROL" MESSAGES. THE CAR HAD AN EXTREMELY ROUGH IDLE AND THEN WOULD NOT ACCELERATE TO MORE THAN 25 MPH. I RETURNED HOME AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP. I PURCHASED A 2011 CHEVROLET 2011 IMPALA LT CAR RECENTLY. I FIND THAT THE HEIGHTS OF THE THREE BACK-SEAT HEAD RESTS ARE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS FOR A DRIVER OF THIS CAR. RECENTLY, BECAUSE OF MY LIMITED VISIBILITY PAST THE LEFT BACK-SEAT WINDOW HEAD RESTS, IN BACKING MY CAR, I BUMPED A PARKED CAR. MY LEFT REAR FENDER STRUCK THE LICENSE PLATE HOLDER OF THAT CAR. THE COST OF THIS FENDER REPAIR WAS $983.00. I FEAR THAT MY DRIVING THIS CAR WITHOUT CHANGES MADE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THESE HEAD RESTS IS LEADING TO ANOTHER MORE SERIOUS ACCIDENT WAITING. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO HAVE THE REPAIRS PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. LESS THAN A YEAR AGO, WE RECEIVED A SERVICE STABILITRAC/SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL/ENGINE AT REDUCED POWER MESSAGE AND SPEED DROPPED FROM 40 MPH TO 5 MPH. WE BROUGHT IT TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER AND A TRACTION POSITION CONTROL SENSOR WAS REPLACED. TODAY, ON 11/24/13, WE WERE DRIVING 15 MPH IN A PARKING LOT AND RECEIVED THE SAME MESSAGE RESULTING IN THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE ESSENTIALLY STALLS OUT WITH LITTLE TO NO POWER AND NEARLY CAUSED A COLLISION AT AN INTERSECTION. WHEN WILL NHTSA FORCE GM TO RECALL AND FIX THIS ISSUE? THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. *TR
ALL 4 TIRES SHOWED TREAD SEPARATION WITH MILEAGE BETWEEN 34000 AND 49000 MILES. THE TREAD BUBBLED UP ON THE INSIDE TREAD EDGE OF ALL TIRES. I HAD 3 FLAT TIRES DUE TO THIS DEFECT. GOODYEAR ONLY OFFERED WHAT THEY CALLED "GOOD WILL" REPLACEMENT AT ABOUT HALF PRICE. I PAID TO HAVE THE FIRST 2 REPLACE ON 02/16/2013 AND 11/04/2013. BOTH OF THESE TIRES WENT DOWN AFTER HIGHWAY DRIVING. ON 11/19/2013 I ROTATED THE TIRES AND NOTICED THE REMAINING 2 ORIGINAL TIRES WERE SHOWING SIGNS OF SEPARATION ON THE INSIDE EDGE OF THE TREAD. CONTACTED GOODYEAR AND THEY WOULD ONLY DISCOUNT THEM BY HALF AFTER HAVING 4 OUT OF 4 TIRES GO BAD. I LEFT THE GOODYEAR STORE AND AM HAVING 4 MICHELIN TIRES PUT ON. I THINK GOODYEAR SHOULD REFUND ME WHAT THE FIRST 2 TIRES COST ME AND THEY CAN HAVE THEM BACK. I DON'T THINK THESE TIRES SHOULD BE ON THE ROAD THEY ARE NOT SAFE. *TR

THE NEXT DAY, THE PROBLEM WAS NOT EVIDENT, BUT I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FROM WHOM I HAD PURCHASED IT, USED. THAT DEALER WAS UNABLE TO ASCERTAIN THE PROBLEM, AND TOOK THE CAR TO A LOCAL CHEVROLET FRANCHISE WHERE IT WAS "REPAIRED" AND RETURNED. SEVERAL DAYS LATER, THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED WHEN I WAS ENTERING A HIGHWAY I COULD NOT ACCELERATE INTO TRAFFIC. THIS TIME, AS IT HAPPENED DURING THE DAY, I AGAIN TOOK IT TO MY DEALER. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT I DEAL DIRECTLY WITH THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER TO WHOM HE HAD TAKEN THE CAR THE FIRST TIME. THAT DEALER HAD IT FOR SEVERAL DAYS. THE DEALERSHIP CONTACTED THE FACTORY DIRECTLY FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO FIX THE PROBLEM, . TO DATE, THERE HAS BEEN NO RE-OCCURRENCE OF THIS, NOR ANY OTHER PROBLEM. THE FIRST VISIT FOR REPAIR COST ABOUT $200 AND THE SECOND $500. I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS DIRECTLY AND THEY AGREED TO REFUND $250 EARLIER THIS YEAR. *TR
