I have driving on highway [XXX] heading back home to yucca valley from oceanside driving in the left lane my steering wheel locked up my vehicle swerved let into a street sign and thr vehicle proceeded to turn right swerving on the road losing control of the vehicle my airbag never deployed and my riverside tire as well the drives haft fell off the vehicle and now my car is completely totaled luckily there were no other vehicles involved but there was another person in the car with me when the incident occurred, we both he whiplash. Service Stabilitrak traction light comes on and front left side on car makes noise when turn sterring wheel to left and ABS light comes on when this light comes on.
While driving vehicle warning light service stabilitrak....reduced engine power comes on. Vehicle then slows and can not drive over 20 to 30 mph. This has occurred randomly at highway speeds while driving on interstate in traffic. Sudden reduction caused traffic to have to slow quickly and almost caused a collision.
TFP Switch(Sensor) 4 Circuit Low Voltage
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the driver 's side power master door lock switch was inoperable. The messages "Monitor Tie System" and "Monitor Battery System" were displayed. The contact stated that the windshield wipers were operating at a slower speed than needed. On other occasions, the windshield wipers and the horn would engage independently, and the windshield wipers would operate faster than needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the ECM needed to be reprogrammed. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start and she was unable to release the key from the ignition switch. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V355000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 111,366.
My 2013 Impala Ltz Service Traction Control, Service Stabilitrack, Engine power reduced problem lights came on the dash. Almost had an accident I want to know why the 2013 model of impala has not had any recalls as the 2010 models with same issues..... My vehicle has the same major issue and need to be addressed & Recalled...... The 2013 Chevrolet impala LTZ Need to be Recalled to fix this issue for the safety of my family and the families on the road and Highways........ I can't express more the need of recall for my vehicle!!!!! I attached documents on the pervious 2010 model recall that had the same issues.... If you think Chevrolet dealership fixed the problem on the 2013 impala model it didn't work cause I have same issues!!!!!
Driving home on 9/3/22 I began to turn into a curve in the road at which time the brake light on dash came on and felt as though one wheel in the rear locked up.2 seconds later It caused my car to spin uncontrollable down the road and slide into ditch however I slid into a field entrance and it caused my car to roll more then once and landed on passenger side. Airbags did not deploy at any time during this accident.
while waiting to make a left turn when traffic cleared I pressed the gas pedal and heard a loud grinding noise and the car would not move for 2 or 3 seconds and suddenly moved. Very dangerous. Car forums have many of the same incidents with great difficulty in resolving this problem and after several years no answers. This is life threatening issue.
Consistent problems/issues with the Traction Control turning off randomly while driving the vehicle. Which causes the car to almost stall, have issues accelerating, make a grinding/scraping noise until we manually turn the traction control off. Most of the issues/sounds stop shortly after turning it off, but car still has issues accelerating and feels like it’s going to stall.
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala equipped with an OEM jack, Part Number: 13500018. The contact stated while jacking up the vehicle to change a tire, the jack folded and caused the vehicle to fall. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
The stabilitytak light came on and vehicle won’t drive more then 15mph or it turns of by it self Ms
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that her vehicle would fail to start up after multiple attempts without warning. The contact stated that while her fiance was driving at 55 MPH, the vehicle shut off without warning which cause him to crash into a ravine. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact and her fiance suffered minor scrapes and bruises but did not seek medical attention. A police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle was towed to an independent tow yard where it was deemed a total loss. The dealer was contacted about the incident and was informed that they could not pick up the vehicle to perform an investigation. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was unknown
Stolen vehicle
WIRING HARNESS IS DEFECTIVE AND FRICTION CAUSES ELECTRICAL MISFIRES THAT AFFECT THE ENTIRE VEHICLE, FROM DEACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING TO NOT BEING ABLE TO TURN OVER THE ENGINE TO START. I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR OVER 4 YEARS AND GM NOR ANY SAFETY COMMISSION WILL DO ANYTHING IN TERMS OF A RECALL. THIS COMPLAINT IS THE ONLY RECOURSE THAT I HAVE IN ORDER TO NOTIFY PUBLIC OF THE ISSUE. THIS IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING AS IT CAN CAUSE SAFETY HAZARD ON ROAD.
ABLE TO SHIFT GEAR POSITIONS BUT THE INDICATED SHIFT POSITION DOES NOT REPRESENT THE GEAR POSITION THE VEHICLE IS IN. WHEN I STOP AND PARK THE VEHICLE, I AM ABLE TO SHIFT THE LEVER TO THE "PARK" POSITION, BUT THE VEHICLE IS NOT ACTUALLY IN PARK POSITION. I CURRENTLY HAVE THE EMERGENCY BREAK ON. VEHICLE WILL NOT STAY IN PARK WHEN GEAR IS IN PARK POSITION. THE LIGHTEST TOUCH WILL KNOCK GEAR SHIFT INTO REVERSE AND CAR ROLLS AWAY.
SHAKES AND FEELS AS THOUGH THE TIRE MAY COME OFF WHILE DRIVING. SHAKES WHEN YOU GO A CERTAIN SPEED AND SLOW DOWN. REPLACED TIRES AND HAD ALIGNMENT CHECK AND CAR STILL DOES THE SAME THING.

MY CAR KEEPS TURNING OFF ON ME WHILE IM DRIVING
STABILTRAK ABS TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS ALL COME ON VEHICLE SHUDDERS AND POWER IS REDUCED. RESEARCHED AND FOUND 100'S OF REPORTS OF THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE IMPALA AND SIMILAR COMPLAINTS IN THE LIGHT TRUCK AND SUV MODELS. FIX IS RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE IF YOUR MECHANICALLY / ELECTRICALLY INCLINED AS INVOLVES SPLICING IN A NEW WIRE HARNESS FOR THE ABS SENSOR. SAID HARNESS IS ABOUT $20 IT SHORTS OUT DUE TO INSUFFICIENT GAUGE OF WIRE USED ON ORIGINAL FACTORY INSTALL. REPLACE HARNESS HAS MUCH STURDIER GAUGE FROM WHAT MY RESEARCH SAYS. REPAIR SHOP QUOTED $700 TO REPAIR GLAD I TOLD THEM TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER. THEY HAVE A FLEET OF IMPALAS AS LOANERS SO THEY KNOW THEY ARE GOUGING PEOPLE WHEN THEY SAY REPLACE WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY ABS SENSOR AND WIRING HARNESS WHEN THEY KNOW IT'S THE ABS SENSOR PERIOD. CHEVY NEEDS TO DO A RECALL. ISSUE HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION AFTER TURNING OR GOING OVER A BUMP WIRING THAT HAS BEEN WORE THRU DUE TO PLACEMENT OF WIRING IN A HIGH FRICTION AREA, WIRE WEARS THROUGH COATING EXPOSES WIRING THAT SHORTS OUT AND SENDS CODES TO COMPUTER CONCERNING ABS STABILTRAK AND TRACTION ASSIST CAUSES VEHICLE TO BEHAVE ERRATICALLY OTHERS HAVE REPORTED CAUSED VEHICLE TO STALL AND NOT RESTART UNTIL PROBLEM CORRECTED. I'M SURE THEY ARE GOUGED FOR A THOUSAND $ OR MORE. WET ROAD CONDITIONS,EXTREME HEAT OR COLD,LEFT TURN WHILE BACKING, JARRING BUMPS, ALL TRIGGER THE DASH TO LIGHT UP LIKE CHRISTMAS TREE DINGING ALARM GOES OFF STEERING SHUDDERS POWER IS REDUCED. IT'S A HUGE DISTRACTION AND SAFETY CONCERN FOR SO MANY TO BE EXPERIENCING GM SHOULD STAND UP AND TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM.
FAULTY WIRING HARNESS FOR THE STABLE LINK SYSTEM FRONT DRIVER SIDE. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON ALONG WITH THE STABLE LINK SYSTEM AND LOSE POWER TO THE ENGINE AND SHUT DOWN.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SERVICE ELECTRONIC STABILI-TRAC WARNING LIGHT FLASHED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE VEHICLE JERKED AND SHUDDERED WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE ALSO RECURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REVERSED. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED AND SHUDDERED AT SPEEDS EXCEEDING 55 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
IT KEEPS SAYING ON THE ODOMETER ELECTRIC STABILITY CONTROL OR TRACK AND LOWER THE POWER. MY CAR WAS ON MOTION ON A CITY STREET WITH CARS ALL AROUND US. I'VE READ THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE WERE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE SAME THING. WHY DON'T THEY RECALL
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT EVERY 2 WEEKS, NOT BLOWING BULBS JUST STOPS WORKING. HAVE CLEANED CONNECTORS SEVERAL TIMES, WORE GLOVES WHEN CHANGING BULB AND CHECKED FUSE. *TR
WITH NO WARNING THE ENGINE OF MY CAR HAD A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. DUE TO DEFECTIVE TIMING CHAINS AND GEARS. KNOWN TO BEING PROBLEMATIC AND BREAKING AROUND 85,000 MILES. MANY ON LINE COMPLAINTS WITH THIS ENGINE, BUT GM WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IT AND DO A SAFETY RECALL. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE WHEN MY ENGINE FAILED THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT TO ALERT US TO A PROBLEM. THE CAR WAS RUNNING FINE AND IT MADE A CLANGING NOISE ALONG WITH A THICK CLOUD OF BLUE SMOKE.. WE WERE LUCKY TO GET THE CAR OFF THE SIDE OF ROAD BEFORE GETTING REAR ENDED. TIMING CHAINS ARE NOT A REGULAR MAINTENANCE ITEM. THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO LAST THE LIFE OF MOTOR. IF THEY ARE FAILING AT 85,000 MILES OR LESS WHY ISN'T A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE LISTED FOR IT. OUR CAR WAS REGULARLY MAINTAINED AT 4,000 MILES WITH SYNTHETIC OIL. I DID NOT USE A CHEVY MAINTENANCE MECHANIC I USED A MECHANIC WHO HAS CLOSE TO 50 YEARS EXPERIENCE. JI CALLED GM UP TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPEN THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL AND I CAN'T GO BY ON LINE FORUMS. THEY WANTED ME TO TOW THE CAR TO A CHEVY GARAGE FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. I ASKED THEM IF THEY CAN HAVE A MECHANIC COME TO WHERE MY CAR IS, BECAUSE I COULDN'T AFFORD ANOTHER TOW AND IT WAS PRETTY OBVIOUS THE ENGINE FAILED. THEY REFUSED. I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO REPLACE A MOTOR AT 85,000 MILES WHEN MOST IMPALAS GO 200,000 MILES. AFTER ON LINE RESEARCH THERE WAS MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ENGINE WITH TIMING CHAINS AND ALSO A CLASS ACTION SUIT WITH DIFFERENT MODELS, BUT SAME ENGINE. I HAVE NO MONEY TO REPLACE AN ENGINE AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.
I HAVE A 2013 CHEVROLET IMPALA--I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH; MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP WITH SERVICE STABLITRACK, BRAKE ASSIST, TRACTION CONTROL, AND THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE SERVICE STABILITRAK/ABS/BRAKE CONTROL LIGHTS TURN ON AND OFF INCESSANTLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER I'M MOVING, TURNING, BREAKING, ETC. IT'S SEEMINGLY COMPLETELY RANDOM. EVERY IME THEY DO, THE CAR DINGS, MAKING THE RIDE UNBEARABLE ("DING, DING, DING...DING, DING, DING" AD NASEUM). THIS HAPPENED BEFORE AND I HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED UNDER WARRANTY, A LITTLE OVER 1.5 YEARS AGO. IT'S NOW HAPPENING AGAIN. COUNTLESS REPORTS ON FORUMS INDICATE THAT IT'S A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THE WIRING HARNESS GOING TO THE HUB ASSEMBLY. GM SHOULD RECALL THIS. IT'S DISTRACTING, UNSAFE, AND SEEMINGLY UNFIXABLE IN THE LONG TERM. THIS WILL BE THE SECOND TIME I'VE FIXED THIS IN LESS THAN 50,000 MILES DRIVEN.
WHILE ON THE FREEWAY THE SERVICE STABILITY TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON AND I BEGIN TO LOOSE POWER I TRIED PUSHING THE OFF BUTTON AFTER A FEW MILES IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL AND THE NEXT DAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN SO I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED THE CAR OFF HOPING TO RESET IT BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT START BACK UP. I'VE HAD MY STARTER CHECKED, MY BATTERY, MY ALTERNATOR ALL THOSE CAME OUT FINE BUT THE CAR WON'T START AND THE MECHANICS ARE SAYING THEY HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE THAT THE TRACTION SYSTEM WILL KEEP THE CAR FROM STARTING. ALSO PRIOR TO THIS I WOULD HEAR A THROOTLING SOUND AS WELL TO ME IT SOUNDED LIKE A TIRE WAS LOOSE SO K EVEN HAD THAT CHECKED BUT I BELIEVE IT'S CONNECTED TO THIS TRACTION LIGHT THAT CAME OWN BEFORE THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF.
THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN I WAS THE MIDDLE CAR IN A THREE CAR COLLISSION
GET ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, STABLE STABILITY SENSORS ON. IN MOTION AND WHEN SITTING STILL. RESETS BUT COMES RIGHT BACK ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 72 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE CONTACT NODDED OFF AND CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER TWICE AND LANDED UPRIGHT ON ITS WHEELS. ALL OF THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A COMPRESSION FRACTURE TO THE BACK AND BRUISES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS INITIALLY TOWED TO A TOW LOT AND THEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED HIGHT CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (29 MADISON AVE, SKOWHEGAN, ME 04976, (877) 617-0562) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE, BUT THEY DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY DECLARED THE VEHICLE DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 9-5465890807. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,600. *TR*JB
MY REDUCE ENGINE POWER LIGHT, SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT IS ON ALSO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.CAR WILL NOT GO OVE 30 TO 40 MPH. THE CAR WILL REDUCE SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY. AND STREETS. I LIVE IN ILLINOIS. I'VE DONE TRIED EVERYTHING. THE CAR WAS IN THE SHOP FOR OVER A MONTH COST ME $1500 TO FIX EVERY ISSUES THE MECHANIC THOUGHT WAS WRONG AND THE CAR STILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUES. I HAVE EVEN JUST RECENTLY BROUGHT A NEW GAS CAP BECAUSE THAT LIGHT KEPT SAYING TIGHTEN. THIS CAN BE REALLY STRESSFUL. I DONT THINK I WILL EVER BUY ANOTHER CHEVY CAR AGAIN. AS I RESEARCH MY ISSUE JUST BY TYPING IN THE PROBLEMS WITHOUT GIVING THE MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR. I SEE ALL THESE PROBLEMS ARE ONLY WITH CHEVY VECHILES. WHAT DO I DO?
I ATTEMPTED TO TURN ON MY VEHICLE WHILE IN THE PARKED POSITION THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN AND THE WHEEL WAS IN THE LOCKED POSITIION. MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPS TO TRY AND TURN THE KEY WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED AND A FEW DIFFENT MECHANICS ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE KEY BUT NEGATIVE RESULT. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

I'VE SHUT OFF TRACTION CONTROL BUT IT STILL ENGAGES WHEN TURNING LEFT OCCASIONALLY CAUSING REDUCED ACCELERATION AND DANGER TO MYSELF WHEN CROSSING TRAFFIC. VEHICLE AT 95K MILES BUT THIS HAPPENED BEFORE AT AROUND 50K MILES AND WAS REPAIRED BY DEALER AND PARTIALLY COVERED BY BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY.
WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MILES AN HOUR ON A HIGHWAY ALL SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITH NO COLLISION.
DOES NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR SMOOTHLY. I CAN FEEL A JERK WHEN TRANSMISSION CHANGES GEARS. THERE IS A DELAYED RESPONSE WHEN WHEN EXCELERATING FROM A STANDSTILL. THIS VEHICLE HAD 36000 MILES WHEN WE NOTICED THE PROBLEM 4 MONTHS AGO. PROBLEM CODE P0989 SHOWN WHEN RECENTLY CHECKED BY MECHANIC. ANOTHER PROBLEM IVOLVES AN INTERMITTENT METALLIC GRINDING NOISE WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN AT LOW SPEEDS.
SERVICE STABILITY TRACK LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF. CAR WILL LOSE SOME SPEED WHILE DRIVING FOR A SECOND, LIKE THE ABS KICKS ON WHEN IT ISN'T SUPPOSED TO. HAD HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, CAR WILL LOSE SOME SPEED WHILE THE LIGHT INDICATING ABS HAS ACTIVATED FOR SOME REASON.

I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE ON MARCH 23 2019 .I HAVE MADE SEVERAL REPAIRS TO CAR BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS . I FEEL CHEVY SHOULD DO A RECALL IMMEDIATELY.

THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION, THE RPMS INCREASED, AND THE VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR APPROXIMATELY EIGHT MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.

MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED, BUT NO FIRE WAS PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO A SALVAGE LOT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
SINCE I PURCHASE THE CAR DECEMBER 2016, I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE FRONT DRIVER WHEEL WELL. FROM A TIRE ROD, CV AXLE, WHEEL HUB, AND THE STABILITRAK OFF LIGHT. BLEND DOOR ACTUATORS FAIL TO OPERATE CORRECTLY WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY CHANGING CABIN TEMPERATURE DRASTICALLY LOSING VISIBILITY OF FOGGED UP WINDSHIELD AND CRASH OCCURS.
"TAKATA RECALL" MY VEHICLE IGNITION SWITCH HAS WENT OUT AND MY " SERVICE AIR BAG " LIGHT HAS CAME ON AS WELL. I SEARCHED MY VIN NUMBER ON THIS SITE AND "0 RECALLS" SHOWS UP AS A RESULT. HOWEVER ITS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS THAT WAS ONCE RECALLED ARE BOTH IN TACT ON MY VEHICLE. IN ADDITION TO, I RECENTLY SEARCHED "IGNITION SWITCH RECALL" ON THE RECALL LIST AND "CHEVY IMPALA 2013 " CAME UP AS RESULT AND THAT IS CURRENTLY THE VEHICLE IM DRIVING AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM IM HAVING. I REACHED OUT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY INFORMED SAID MY VEHICLE ISN'T LISTED FOR RECALLS HOWEVER LIKE STATED BEFORE I HAVE THAT SAME VEHICLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE. TO ADD MORE INFORMATION DEALERSHIP EVEN INFORMED THAT THE RECALL HAS EXPIRED BUT THE PROBLEM HAD JUST BEGUN.
