SPARE TIRE COMPARTMENT HOLDS WATER TURNING TO MOLDY, MILDEW SMELL AFTER CAR WASH OR HEAVY RAIN.
THE HEADLIGHTS ON MY IMPALA HAVE SOME SORT OF DISCOLORATION INSIDE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY IT'S BEGINNING TO BLOCK THE AMOUNT OF LUMENS COMING THROUGH FOR MY LIGHTS TO SEE. I'M CERTAIN THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE THEY WERE DESIGNED TO PUT OUT A CERTAIN NUMBER OF LUMENS FOR NIGHT DRIVING AND NOW THEY AREN'T
I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM GM REGARDING AN ELECTRICAL RECALL ON MY 2014 CHEVY IMPALA 2014. THERE IS WATER DAMAGE IN SIDE DETECTION SENORS, WHICH ARE UNDERNEATH THE 2 BACK TIRES. WATER DAMAGE THAT HAS CAUSE ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH EVERY ELECTRICAL PART OF THE CAR. SPEEDOMETER GOES OFF WHILE DRIVING LIGHTS GO OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING. SENSORS ARE BEEPING WHILE DRIVING RADIO GETS LOUD TURNS OFF AND ON ON ITS OWN. AIRBAG WARNINGS WHILE DRIVING, BATTERY SHUTS DOWN. ITS A MESS.

WATER IS GETTING IN TRUNK WHERE THE SPARE TIRE IS LOCATED
THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS ARE LEAKING WATER WHEN IT RAINS OR GOING THROUGH A CAR WASH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, AND POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.
I WAS DRIVING AND I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES THE CARS STARTS JERKING AND IT FELT AND SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS DRAGGING SOMETHING OR SCRAPPING THE GROUND. THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON AND THE STABILITY LIGHT POPS ON. I'M OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD DOING A LEFT OR A RIGHT TURN WHEN THIS OCCURS AND THE CAR BASICALLY STALLS FOR A MINUTE AND WON'T MOVE THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN JERKS REALLY HARD AND STARTS MOVING AGAIN. THIS OCCURS ON THE CITY STREET AND THE HIGHWAY WHEN EXITING OR CHANGING LANES.
KEY IS STUCK IN THE IGNITION, CAN NOT START CAR OR REMOVE THE KEY. BATTERY IS IN GOOD CONDITION.
AFTER STARTING CAR BY REMOTE, I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE, GETTING ABOUT 10 FEET WHEN I HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION INSIDE MY CAR ALONG WITH A BRIGHT FLASH. STOPPING MY CAR I LOOKED AROUND INSIDE AND OUT AND SAW NOTHING UNUSUAL. GETTING OUT OF VEHICLE, I EXAMINED MY REAR WINDOW AND FOUND IT TO BE COMPLETELY SHATTERED.THIS OCCURRED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT OF MY PARKING LOT IN MY CONDOMINIUM COMPLEX. MY THEORY IS THAT IT WAS A FAULTY REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER.
RIGHT HAND PASSANGER ROOFRAIL AIRBAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ACCORDING TO PETERSON CHEVROLET, THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR. AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON. CAR HAS 62,904 MILES ON IT. SEEMS TO ME THIS OUGHT TO BE GM'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THE [XXX] THING WORKS. NO EVENT HAPPENED. THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT JUST CAME ON WHILE WE WERE DRIVING. MASTER CYL AND BOOSTER FAILURE WHILE IN MOTION
WHEN MAKING TURNS, LEFT TURNS ESPECIALLY, THE CAR HESITATES AND MAKES A GRINDING NOISE. IT FEELS LIKE IT LOSES POWER, AND WILL NOT MOVE, WHICH IS VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC IN A BUSY CITY. SOMETIMES THE STABILYZER AND/OR TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS COME ONE DURING THESE EPISODES. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MY CAR SERVICED FOR THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I AM A SINGLE DIVORCED [XXX] WOMAN, I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME AWAY FROM WORK OR THE MONEY TO CONTINUE TO SPEND ON REPAIRS THAT I HAVE NO CHOICE OR CONTROL OVER. PLEASE RECALL THIS PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING AROUND 7:30AM ON NOV 2ND, THE VEHICLE POWER STEERING AND ABS STOPPED WORKING AND WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN TO GO OFF. I WAS TRAVELING AT 70MPH ON A WET HIGHWAY. STEERING BECAME VERY DIFFICULT. I GOT OFF AT THE VERY NEXT EXIT.
WIPER TRANSMISSION BROKE WHILE DRIVING

IN ADDITION, THE FUEL GAUGE, THE SPEEDOMETER, AND THE ENTIRE DASH BOARD FAILED TO FUNCTION. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
MY CAR WON'T WORK AT ALL HALF OF THE TIME. MOSTLY ALL ELECTRICITY STOPS IN THE VEHICLE. THE BATTERY IS 2 YEARS OLD. SOMETIMES ELECTRIC WILL WORK AND STILL WON'T START. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE'S SOME KIND OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEM IN MY CAR AND THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THAT BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON IT SAYS THAT IT'S NOT FOR MY VIN NUMBER. I THINK MY ELECTRICAL HAS A PROBLEM IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR WELL OVER A YEAR NOW AND I HAVE TO JUMP MY CAR A LOT.
ON OCTOBER 4 WHILE DRIVING ON A 2 LANE HIGHWAY IN ASH FLAT, ARKANSAS,MY 2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA'S ENGINE QUIT RUNNING SUDDENLY. I HAD NO POWER WHATSOEVER. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO REACH THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. AFTER TURNING THE KEY OFF I THEN BACK ON I WAS ABLE TO START THE ENGINE. IT SEEMS TO BE OKAY. I SHUDDER TO THINK WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED ON A BUSY INTERSTATE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM APPREHENSIVE ABOUT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I NOTICED THERE HAVE BEEN TWO OTHER SIMILAR INCIDENTS REPORTED ON SAME YEAR/MODEL CARS, I HAVE 55,000.MILES ON MY VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, A DEER CROSSED THE ROAD. THE CONTACT HAD TO MAKE A SHARP LEFT TURN TO AVOID THE ANIMAL AND CRASHED INTO A HILL IN THE WOODS. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT DID NOT RESTRAIN THE DRIVER. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED FRONT END DAMAGE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISED RIBS, AND INJURIES TO THE LEFT ARM AND SHOULDER, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED HEAFNER MOTORS INC AT 662-563-7631 (LOCATED AT 935 MS-6, BATESVILLE, MS 38606) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED AND THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 33,300.

TAKATA RECALL. STABLINK FIRST CAME ON MY CAR WHEN DRIVING ON A CITY ROAD IT WAS SHAKING DID NOT WANT TO PICK UP SPEED. HAD THAT FIXED, THEN 9/2018 MY SIDE BLINDERS STARTED MALFUNCTIONING WOULD COME ON AND OFF. AT TIMES ONE WOULD JUST STAY ON EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF. RECEIVED A LETTER 4/2019 ABOUT EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THIS BUT ONLY GOOD FOR 80,000 MILES. MY CAR HAS 98,000 MILES. SO HERE I AM STUCK TO HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET.
TAKATA RECALL UPON MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE ABS LIGHT FLASHES ON AND OFF, THE ENGINE GRINDS, AND THE CAR HESITATES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TURN. ON OCCASION THE DASHBOARD WILL INDICATE A STABILITRAK WARNING. THE PAVEMENT IS DRY AND THERE NO SAND PRESENT. IT HAPPENS MOST FREQUENTLY WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN AFTER A COMPLETE STOP. THERE ARE MULTIPLE FORUMS BY OTHER IMPALA OWNERS WITH THE EXACT ISSUE.
INSTRUMENT PANEL AND GAUGES WENT OUT ON MY CAR .
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware of an abnormal ticking sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed actuator. The contact was informed that the actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired. The contact stated that a total of eleven actuators had been replaced in the vehicle since 2018. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING 60MPH ON AN INTERSTATE MY CAR NOTIFICATION SCREEN DISPLAYED "SERVICE STABILITRAK"/ "ENGINE POWER REDUCED"... THEN MY CAR ACCELERATION SEEMED TO HAVE DIED AND CAR SLOWED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO AROUND 20 MPH WITH THE GAS PEDAL DIWN TO THE FLOOR... A BIG SEMI TRUCK WAS BEHIND ME AND HAD TO BREAK AND SWERVE AROUND ME WHILE BLOWING HIS HORN...I WAS NEARLY KILLED.
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WILL COMPLETELY DIE OUT. BLINKERS NOT FUNCTIONING. SEEMS LIKE SOME SORT OF SHORT. ALSO BLIND SPOT ALERT NOT WORKING , FORWARD FACING CAMERA, PARK ASSIST.
AC UNIT, IT MAKE A LOUD TAPPING NOISE THE ACTUATOR IS BAD.
UPON STARTING THE CAR WARNING MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DASH STATING POWER STEERING DRIVE WITH CAUTION. THE CAR SEEMED TO ALMOST STALL AFTER THAT. THE VECHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME. IT IMMEDIATELY BECAME HARD TO STEER. AFTER 20 MINS I WAS ABLW TO TURNTHE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT AND DRIVE.

ALSO, ABS LIGHT STAYS ON AND WHEN INITIATING BRAKES, BRAKE PEDAL VIBRATES AND MAKES A VIBRATING NOISE. WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO MY APPT, THE MESSAGE KEPT FLASHING OVER AND OVER. SAME PROBLEM 6/15/18 & HAD FRONT HUB & BEARING ASSEMBLY REPLACED. OK UNTIL 8/22/18.
MY CAR HAD WARNING LIGHTS FOR STABILITRAK, PARKING BRAKE, ABS THAT CAME ON. THE CAR JERKS WHEN YOU START IT AND SHIFT GEARS. THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE LIKE NORMAL AND HAS STUGGLE REACHING HIGH SPEEDS. WHILE DRIVING, SOME OF THE LIGHTS WENT OFFF AND CAUSED MORE JERKING OF THE VEHICLE.
THE LANE DEPARTURE MODULES GET WET AND ARE LOCATED BEHIND THE REAR TIRE. AS A RESULT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS NOW FAILING I GET MESSAGES THAT MY AIRBAG HAS DEPLOYED. THE GAS GAUGE DROPS TO EMPTY. THE HEAT IN THE DRIVERS SEAT DOES NOT WORK. NOW I HAVE UNEXPLAINED WATER IN THE BOTTOM OF MY TRUNK WITH NO SINGS HOW IT GOT THERE. I HONESTY DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IN IT NOT KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT AND IT MY GAUGES TELL ME WRONG INFORMATION. IE NO GAS
2014 CHEVY IMPALA - 50,000 MILES - THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IT WILL SUDDENLY REGAIN POWER AND THE ENGINE WILL SURGE. ON 8/20/18 I CAN TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR, BUT THE CAR DID NOT RESPOND AND ALMOST STALLED. I DID NOT REALIZE HOW FAR I WAS PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, AND WHEN THE CAR REGAINED POWER THE FRONT TIRES SQUEALED FROM THE RESULTING BURNOUT. LUCKILY, I DIDN'T RUN ANYONE OVER FROM TAKING OFF LIKE THIS. A MOTHER WAS WITH HER CHILD ON THE SIDEWALK AND WAS NOT PLEASED WITH THE WAY I WAS DRIVING IN AN AREA WHERE KIDS PLAY. THIS CAR HAS HAD ONE PROBLEM AFTER THE OTHER. I DISCOVERED A GM SERVICE BULLETIN PIP5507B - "IN AMBIENT TEMPERATURES 100F OR HIGHER, VEHICLE MAY EXHIBIT A HESITATION OR STALLING CONDITION - CUSTOMERS CAN BE ADVISED TO UTILIZE FUELS WITH OCTANE 91 OR HIGHER, REFRAIN FROM IDLING, AND ONLY PARK VEHICLE IN A COVERED GARAGE. AS LONG AS YOU DON'T USE THIS VEHICLE, YOU'RE FINE. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS A KNOWN SAFETY ISSUE AND NO RECALL. I GUESS SOMEONE HAS TO BE KILLED, FIRST.
SERVICE STABILITY TRACK CAME ON FOUR TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE CAR. THE LAST TIME I WAS ENROUTE TO MY HOME FROM A MEDICAL APPOINTMENT IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN. THIS TIME THE CAR WAS LOSING POWER. I MANAGED TO GET THE CAR TO A CHEVY DEALER, TWO HOURS FROM MY HOME, TO HAVE THREE SERVICE CODES SHUT OFF, ONE OF WHICH WAS SERVICE STABILITY TRACK.
BLIND SPOT SENSOR WENT OUT AND SENSORS ON DASH WENT TO FRITZ
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR ON A MAIN STREET MOVING ALONG AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND MOTOR. THE CAR WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE THE FOB. THEREFORE, IT WOULD NOT RESTART. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK TO RESTART. THEREFORE, IT WAS STUCK IN PARK AND I COULD NOT MOVE THE CAR OUT OF THE LANE OF TRAFFIC. WE TRIED TO RE-SET THE SYSTEM BY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY AND TAPPING THE BRAKES. THIS DID NOT WORK. AFTER MY HUSBAND HAD BROUGHT ME THE SECOND FOB FROM HOME THE CAR STILL WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE THE FOB. I WALKED AWAY FROM THE CAR TO RE-SET THE FOB. THE CAR STILL WOULD NOT START. AFTER BEING STRUCK IN FRIDAY AFTERNOON TRAFFIC FOR AN HOUR I CALLED A TOW TRUCK. MY HUSBAND TRIED THE CAR AGAIN AND IT STARTED. I DROVE THE CAR HOME. THE VERY NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS. TWO WEEKS LATER THE CAR BEGAN NOT RECOGNIZING THE FOB AGAIN. THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY OTHERS GET HURT FROM THIS PROBLEM.

STEERING LOCKS WHILE DRIVING
I GET INTERMITTENT SERVICE STABILITRACK, SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL NOTIFICATIONS WHERE MY ODOMETER READING IS AS WELL AS ABS AND ELECTRONIC STABILITYCONTROL ILLUMINATIONS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHIFTING MY VEHICLE INTO DRIVE AND TURNING AND IT IS DURING MOTION. ALSO THERE IS GRINDING AND HARD AND DIFFICULT BRAKING DURING THESE ILLUMINATIONS...
WHEN MY SIDE DETECTION MONITORING SYSTEM FAILED A FEW MONTHS AGO I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL DEALER. THEY RESPONDED TELLING ME THAT, UNFORTUNATELY, THE DESIGN FOR THIS SENSOR MODULE/HARNESS IS COMPLETELY FLAWED. THE SENSORS ARE LOCATED IN THE REAR BUMPER, WITH PLASTIC HOUSING. THERE IS NO WEATHER PROTECTION, EVEN THOUGH THESE ARE DIRECTLY BEHIND THE TIRES AND ARE EXPOSED TO ALL WEATHER - PLUS I LIVE IN IL SO WE'RE TALKING RAIN, SNOW, SALT, ETC. IT'S TWO SENSORS AND THE HARNESS. I COULDN'T AFFORD THE $1200 REPAIR, SO I FIGURED I WOULD JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE LOSS OF THE SAFETY FEATURE AND IGNORE THE WARNING LIGHT. LAST WEEK, ALL OF MY WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON - THEFT DETECTION, FRONT CAMERA, AIRBAG, STABILITRACK, ETC. MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS, TURN SIGNALS, LOCKS AND HEADLIGHTS WERE ALL GOING HAYWIRE, AND AT ONE POINT WHILE DRIVING ALL OF MY GAUGES WENT TO ZERO (NO SPEED LIMIT, RPM, GAS GAUGE, ANYTHING) AND MY HEAT WENT OUT, TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING AND MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP HOPING THAT MAYBE MY BATTERY (FACTORY ORIGINAL)/WIRING MIGHT BE THE CAUSE. NO SUCH LUCK. AS IT TURNS OUT THE SIDE DETECTION MODULES ARE NOW CORRUPTING ALL SENSORS AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INCLUDING MY AIR BAGS! MY AIR BAGS DON'T WORK BECAUSE OF THIS, NEVERMIND THE EXTREME DANGER IN HAVING A SYSTEM GO HAYWIRE WHILE I'M DRIVING! I'M AT NEARLY 100,000 MILES SO I'M WELL PAST ANY WARRANTY THAT WOULD COVER THIS, BUT I HAVE BEEN READING FORUMS AND CARCOMPLAINTS AND IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS IS A REALLY COMMON ISSUE. THE COST OF THE DIAGNOSTICS, COST OF THE REPAIR, AND ANTICIPATED COSTS OF SUBSEQUENT REPAIRS IS RIDICULOUS CONSIDERING IT IS A KNOWN DESIGN FLAW.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 42,000.
THE BLIND SPOT MONITORING SYSTEM FAILED ON MY VEHICLE AT ONLY 62,000 MILES. THE MODULES AND HARNESS ARE MOUNTED UNDER THE REAR BUMPER COVER BEHIND THE WHEELS WHERE MOISTURE DIRT AND ROAD SALT ENTER CAUSING CORROSION AND POSSIBLE FIRE. THE PASSENGER SIDE NOTIFICATION LIGHT STAYED ON FOR TWO DAYS STRAIGHT EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF. IT IS NOT FUSED IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE ONLY UNDER THE HOOD. THESE SAFETY COMPONENTS SHOULD BE MOUNTED IN THE TRUNK PER INDUSTRY STANDARD OR SEALED WITH PROPER WEATHER RESISTANT GASKETS AT THE VERY LEAST. THE HARNESS WAS CORRODED SO BADLY IT WAS JUMPING THE CONNECTION AND BLOWING FUSES. THE MODULES WERE VISIBLY SWOLLEN FROM HAVING MOISTURE INSIDE AND RUST FORMING. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR. THERE SHOULD BE A FULL RECALL IF NOT A SPECIAL COVERAGE ON THIS SAFETY ISSUE, IT IS VERY SERIOUS AND VERY COSTLY. MY GARAGE/HOUSE COULD HAVE BURNED DOWN OR I COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN A VEHICLE FIRE OR ACCIDENT DUE TO LOSS OF SAFETY FEATURE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,495.
WHILE DRIVING ON A RURAL ROAD APPROACHING A SHARP CURVE MY VEHICLE'S CONTROL PANEL BEGAN TO DISPLAY SERVICE POWER STEERING DRIVE WITH CARE AND SERVICE STABILITRACK MESSAGES RESPECTIVELY; IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE DIFFICULTY WITH STEERING.
RIGHT FRONT HEAD LIGHT LOW BEAM WIRE HARNESS BURNS COMPLETELY UP. I ALSO FOUND THE SAME SITUATION ON 3 OTHER 2014 IMPALA LIMITED WHILE LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT HARNESS IN TWO DIFFERENT SALVAGE YARDS. I THINK THIS IS SIGNIFICANT.
HAD A BRAKE INSPECTION ONE WEEK PRIOR TO BRAKES FAILING WHILE DRIVING, PEDAL WAS SOFT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WHILE HEAR AIR COMPRESSION NOISE. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ALERTS.
POWER STEERING WAS LOST, STABILITY LIGHT CAME ON - WAS TOLD THIS WAS DUE TO EROSION - HAD REPAIRED AT MY COST - EXTENDED WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER AS TECHICIAN STATED MY FAULT ALTHOUGH APPARENTLY THIS AREA IS NOT VISIBLE DURING NORMAL SERVICE. NOW THE CAR TWICE HAS NOT STARTED AT ALL - ALL ELECTRONIC SENSORS GO DEAD. HAVE TAKEN TO CHEVROLET DEALER AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO DETERMINED WHAT IS WRONG. AT LEAST EVERY OTHER TIME I TURN ON CAR, THE STABILITY LIGHT OR STEERING LIGHT COME ON, AS WELL AS THE PARK ASSIST LIGHT. I WAIT FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES OR SO, TRY AGAIN, AND THEY MAY OR MAY NOT GO OFF. 2 - THE REAR VIEW MIRROR FELL OFF DURING THE FIRST MONTH I PURCHASED, SO IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY "RE-GLUED) IT SEVERAL TIMES - FINALLY IT WAS RECALLED, AND REPLACED ABOUT 15 MONTHS AGO, NOW THE MIRROR IS DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. 3- LAST IS THE PILLAR TRIM - IT PEELED AND I HAD TO HAVE REPLACED AT MY COST - THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED. I FEAR I HAVE A LEMON, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I AM NOT RECEIVING THE SERVICE NECESSARY FROM CHEVROLET DEALER - I HAVE MAINTAINED THE SERVICE ON MY CAR THROUGH THE DEALER, BUT SO MANY UNANSWERED CONCERNS LEAVES ME AT RISK FOR ACCIDENT SHOULD CAR JUST STOP!
BODY CONTROL MODULE / OBJECT DETECTION MODULE THAT CONTROLS SIDE AND REAR COLLISION DETECTION IS DISABLED DUE TO CORROSION FROM WATER DAMAGE AFTER NORMAL EVERYDAY USE. SAFETY ISSUE.
