DRIVER SEAT FRAME FAILURE. THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT STARTED TILTING TO THE RIGHT ON 10/7/2011. NEXT DAY IT WAS WOBBLING BACK AND FORTH WHILE DRIVING. THEN IT FELT AS THOUGH SOMETHING BROKE UNDERNEATH. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ANY OF THE CARS I HAVE OWNED. (TOYOTA COROLLA, BUICK CENTURY). I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM CARMAX WITH 30000 MILES ON IT. I AM NOT AN AGGRESSIVE DRIVER AND TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY CARS. I DO NOT THINK SOMETHING LIKE THIS SHOULD HAPPEN. WHEN WILL THERE BE A RECALL ON THE THESE SEATS. IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS FIXED. I READ WHERE ONE OWNER HAD TO HAVE HIS SEAT FIXED TWICE. WHICH COST HIM OVER $1000 BOTH TIMES. I CANNOT AFFORD THIS. PLEASE ASSIST IN GETTING A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE. *KB
SHIFT LEVEL DOES RESPOND WHEN SHIFTING INTO LOW (L). DEALER SAID SHIFT LEVER CABLE IS BAD AND IS A COMMON PROBLEM. SECOND ITEM HAD TO REPLACE FUEL SENSOR IN GAS TANK AS IT FAILED ALSO WAS SENDING AN OVER VOLTAGE SIGNAL TO GAS GAUGE. ALSO A COMMON PROBLEM. *TR
I'M THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR ABOUT 5 1/2 YEARS AND HAVE ALMOST 85K MILES ON IT. I'M 185LBS. AND MY WIFE IS A LOT LESS :-) THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY DRIVER SEAT SUDDENLY DROPPED ABOUT 2 OR 3 INCHES WHILE MY WIFE WAS MAKING A TURN WHILE DRIVING MY CAR. LUCKILY SHE WASN'T MOVING TOO FAST AND HAD PLENTY OF ROOM TO MANEUVER. THE SEAT WOULD THEN ROCK DEPENDING ON WHICH WAY SHE TURNED THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO A GARAGE AND THEY TOLD ME THE SEAT FRAME WELD WAS BAD AND THE FRAME HAD TO BE REPLACED. I SEARCHED ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND OVER A DOZEN COMPLAINTS ALMOST ALL IDENTICAL. TWO OR THREE COULD BE COINCIDENCE, BUT OVER A DOZEN? ESTIMATED COST WAS $800 BUT THE MAIN CONCERN IS THAT THIS DEFECTIVE PART COULD GET SOMEONE KILLED. AND DOES MY "NEW" PART HAVE THE SAME DEFECT? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD EXHIBIT AN ABNORMAL CLICKING WHEN THE CONTACT WAS TURNING LEFT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE I-SHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,127 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,500. UPDATED 01/20/12*LJ
IN BOTH FRONT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES, THERE IS AN AMBER PLASTIC COVER WHICH COVERS THE BULB THAT IS ALWAYS ON, AS PART OF THE REGULAR RUNNING LIGHTS, AND ALSO FOR TURN SIGNALS. THE LIGHT HAS BURNED A HOLE, ABOUT 1 1/4 INCH IN DIAMETER, IN THE TOP OF THE AMBER LENS. THE EDGE OF THE LENS IS BLACK ALL AROUND FROM THE BURNING. IS MY CAR UNIQUE? HAVE THERE BEEN ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS? AND MOST IMPORTANT, IS THERE ANY DANGER OF A FIRE STARTING?

THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED BUT DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE WITH REPAIRING THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED AND HAVE HAD AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH THE PASSENGER HEADLIGHTS.GOING ON AND OFF.I HAVE REPLACED THE WIRE HARNESS 7 TIMES IN 2 YEARS.IS THEIR A RECALL ON THESE CARS FOR THE HEADLIGHT ISSUES.IF SO I NEED TO BE NOTIFIED ASAP BEFORE THEIR IS A FIRE IN MY CAR.I AM A HANDICAP MOTHER THAT NEEDS HER CAR. *TR
ACCELERATING QUICKLY, MAKING A LEFT TURN ACROSS TRAFFIC, THE STEERING LOCKED UP AND A WARNING DING DINGED 3 TIMES AND THEN MULTIPLE LIGHTS FLASHED ON THE DASH. RELEASING THE GAS PEDAL RELEASED THE LOCK. THIS IS HAPPENING MORE AND MORE FREQUENTLY NOW. EVERY TIME THERE IS A WARNING DING, SOMETIMES THERE ARE LIGHTS ON THE DASH, SOMETIMES THERE AREN'T. VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN MERGING INTO TRAFFIC. *TR
I HAVE OWNED MY 2005 MALIBU MAXX FOR JUST OVER A YEAR AND HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT TURN SIGNAL SOCKETS, BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES, THREE TIMES NOW DUE TO MELTED SOCKETS AND AMBER COVERS MELTING DOWN TO THE BULBS. EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE VENTED THEY DO NOT STAY COOL ENOUGH TO PREVENT SEVERE ELECTRICAL DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS. IN REPLACING THESE COMPONENTS I HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK UNTIL THE PARTS ARE SHIPPED OUT AND AM FORCED TO DRIVE WITH FAULTY EQUIPMENT. I AM UNABLE TO JUST REPLACE THE BULBS AND HAVE TO CONSTANTLY CHANGE THE BULBS OUT BEFORE THEY MELT TO THE SOCKETS. THIS IS A HUGE HAZARD AS THEY CAN GO OUT ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC PUTTING ME AT A GREATER RISK OF INJURY. PLEASE FORCE GM TO ISSUE AN ACTUAL RECALL ON THIS ISSUE AND NOT JUST SKATE FREE ON THE SERVICE BULLETIN THAT HAS BEEN ISSUED. THANK YOU, *TR
MY 2005 MALIBU MAXX LS LOSES ITS POWER STEERING. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THE TEMPERATURE, OR WHAT THE WEATHER IS LIKE, JUST OUT OF THE BLUE THE BELL GOES OFF AND POWER STEERING IT RUNS ACROSS THE DASH. IT WILL RESET ITSELF ONCE THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SHUTOFF AND RESTARTED. IT HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, HOWEVER, IT HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT. THIS ISN'T VERY SAFE!! *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO HAVE THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

DRIVERS SEAT FRAME FAILURE, FRAME ON DRIVERS SEAT IS CRACKED CAUSING SEAT TO BECOME UNEVEN AND UNSTABLE, CAR HAS 65K MILES, I AM OF AVERAGE WEIGHT AND VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN ON ROUGH/POTHOLE STREWN ROADS (FL). CONTACTED DEALERSHIP WHERE CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW, WAS TOLD "OUT OF WARRANTY, SORRY". THERE IS NO WAY A SEAT FRAME ON A 51/2 YEAR OLD CAR SHOULD BE CRACKED AND A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWS MANY OTHERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, MALIBU (NEW STYLE) YEARS 2004-2007. PRICE TO REPAIR FROM DEALER WAS OVER $1000, PLEASE HELP THOSE OF US WHO CANNOT GET HELP FROM GM REGARDING THIS ISSUE BY ISSUING A RECALL, IF AFFECTED VEHICLES GET INTO A COLLISION THE DRIVERS SEAT WILL LIKELY BECOME DETACHED FROM CAR WITH OBVIOUSLY DETRIMENTAL CONSEQUENCES TO THE DRIVER. WE ALL KNOW THAT CARS DO BREAK AND DON'T LAST FOREVER BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE GM GIVE US A SEAT FRAME THAT WON'T CRACK AND BREAK UNDER NORMAL USAGE IN LESS THAN 6 YEARS AND BECAUSE OF THE EXTREMELY HIGH COST TO REPAIR THIS MANY WILL BE FORCED TO DRIVE THEM THAT WAY, THANK YOU. *KB

THE STEERING WHEEL IN A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU POPS AND AFTER TIME THE POPS INCREASE AND CAUSES THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE TO FAIL. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE DRIVERS TO CRASH. IF ENOUGH PEOPLE DIE, MAYBE GM WILL RECALL THIS DESIGN FLAW. THIS IS CAUSED FROM HAVING ELECTRONIC STEERING, WHICH MEANS NO POWER STEERING FLUID IS SUPPOSE TO BE NEEDED. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 MALIBU MAXX. APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2 WEEKS AGO, I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE -VERY, VERY SLOWLY, THERE WERE A SERIES OF RED POLE ABOUT 3 FEET HIGH, I SAW THEM. I WAS TURNING RIGHT AND MY CAR JERKED TO THE LEFT ACCELERATED AND I HIT A POLE DAMAGING MY FRONT END. CAR WAS TOWED AND REPAIRED BY STATE FARM INSURANCE FOR ABOUT $2500.00. I GOT MY CAR BACK AND DROVE IT FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS, I WAS AGAIN PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE ONLY I WAS COMPLETELY IN AND PARKED, I WAS BRAKING AND SHUTTING OFF MY CAR WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE BRAKE WENT COMPLETELY LOOSE, THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO SPIN AND THE CAR SURGED, IT SURGED AND FLEW OVER THE CURB ABOUT 6 FEET INTO AN ICE MACHINE AT A SPEEDWAY GAS STATION ON 15 MILE AND DODGE PARK IN STERLING HEIGHTS. THIS WAS ABOUT 8:15 - 8:30 A..M. . THAT CAR SURGED AND FLEW AT ABOUT 60 MPH MY FOOT NEVER LEFT THE BRAKE. THIS CAR WAS TOWED TO BUFF WHELAN CHEVROLET ON 18 AND VAN DYKE IN STERLING HEIGHTS MICHIGAN AND THEY ARE FIXING THE BUMPER. I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO GENERAL MOTORS, TO THE PRESIDENT OF BUFF WHELAN AND TO KEITH ARMSTRONG IN THE UK WHO WROTE AN ARTICLE ABOUT CARS THAT SURGE IN 2010 FOR THE USA TODAY. I RECEIVED AFTER CONTACTING THE STERLING HEIGHTS POLICE A TICKET FOR RECKLESS DRIVING, WHICH I HAVE REQUESTED A HEARING OVER. I AM GOING TO BE PICKING UP MY CAR ON TUESDAY 8/9/2011 "FIXED" BUT I WILL HAVE IT TOWED SOMEWHERE, PROBABLY HOME. IT WILL NOT BE DRIVEN, THIS CAR SCARED ME TO DEATH. YOU WOULD HAVE TO EXPERIENCE A "SURGE" TO BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND WHAT COULD HAPPEN DURING ONE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHERE FAILURE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING INDICATED POSSIBLE BAD WIRING IN THE DRIVER SIDE TURN SIGNAL AND THERE WAS HOLE BURNED INTO THE BULB. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO BRING VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER SO THEY COULD PERFORM A FAILURE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
THE POWER TO THE DRIVER SEAT OF OUR '05 MALIBU MAXX, IS MAULFUNCTIONING/BROKEN/NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. IT APPEARS THAT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRAME HAS GIVEN UP. THE POWER TO THE SEAT GOES UP BUT THE RIGHT SIDE STAYS DOWN; LEAVING THE DRIVER LEANING TO THE RIGHT. WE CONTACTED THE DEALER, WHO CLAIMS THAT HE'S HEARD ABOUT THIS BEFORE, BUT AS FAR AS WE KNOW, THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS MALFUNCTION. *TT

AS A RESULT, THE SEAT WOULD LEAN TOWARD THE RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, BUT WAS NOT YET INSPECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. AT APPROX 76,000 MILES THE POWER DRIVERS SEAT STARTED TO LEAN TO THE RIGHT. A WELD BROKE LOOSE FROM THE SEAT FRAME UNDERNEATH. THE REPAIR REQUIRES SEAT REPLACEMENT FOR OVER $1000. THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I DON'T UNDERSTAND SINCE IT CLEARLY IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. ITS UNFAIR. *TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER FORTY FIVE MINUTES. THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWELVE TIMES. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
DRIVER SIDE DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHT/TURN SIGNAL BULB SOCKET CAUSES BULB BASE TO MELT AND CAUSE A SHORTAGE. IN ONE YEAR BULB HAS HAD TO BE REPLACED 4 TIMES. BULB MANUFACTURER SENT ME HEAVY DUTY REPLACEMENT BULBS TO HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM THEY SUGGEST THAT GM IS AWARE OF. SAT DOWN IN DRIVERS SEAT AND IT POPPED AND SLUMPED TO THE RIGHT TOWARDS THE CENTER CONSOLE. I LOOKED UNDER THE SEAT AND THE METAL TUBE FRAME HAD SEPARATED AT THE WELD AND LOOKS LIKE IT JUST PEELED BACK. THE SEAT IS NOW UNSTABLE AND WILL WOBBLE BACK AND FORTH DURING DRIVING. RESEARCHED THIS ON THE INTERNET AND IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS AN EPIDEMIC OF DRIVER SEAT FRAMES BREAKING IN THE SAME MANOR ON THIS YEAR MALIBU MAXX. WITH SO MANY VEHICLES EXPERIENCING THE SAME MALFUNCTION IN THE FRAME IT WOULD APPEAR THAT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT EXISTS WITH THIS SEAT. THE MANUFACTURE SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO INVESTIGATE AND REPAIR THE DEFECT AS A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE CHANGED THE BULBS WHICH FAILED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER, THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
LEFT FRONT (DRIVER'S SEAT) IS BROKEN, IT ROCKS SIDE TO SIDE, SLIDES FORE AND AFT SLIGHTLY, AND NO LONGER HOLDS HEIGHT POSITION. THE SEAT IS A 6 WAY POWER SEAT. VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP (PUYALLUP, WA) WAITING FOR A NEW SEAT TRACK TO BE INSTALLED. ESTIMATED REPAIR COST IS $800.00. DEALERS STATED THAT THE SEAT TRACK WAS BROKEN IN SEVERAL PLACES (FAILED WELD POINTS). I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MAJOR MANUFACTURER'S SAFETY DEFECT AND SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM. *TR

THE FUEL GAUGE IS ERRATIC AFTER I FILL THE TANK, THE GAUGE GOES DIRECTLY TO EMPTY AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 2 MILES. IT WOULD CORRECT ITSELF WHEN THERE WAS ABOUT A HALF TANK OF GAS LEFT. MY PROBLEM IS WITH MY 2005 CHEVORLET MALIBU FRONT PARKING LIGHTS. THE PARKING LIGHTS BULB SOCKET HAS MELTED THROUGH THE SOCKET AND MELTED THE PLASTIC ORANGE RELFECTOR AROUND THE BULB. THIS IS A HUGE FIRE HAZARD THAT WAS LUCKILY FOUND EARLY ENOUGH BEFORE ANY MAJOR ACCIDENT OCCURRED. THIS HAS CAUSED MY LIGHT HOUSING TO BECOME DISCOLORED AND HAS MADE MY HEADLIGHTS LESS BRIGHT. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES. I HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT BRANDS OF BULBS AND I HAVE NOW REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES. I DO STILL HAVE THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT AS WELL TO SHOW FOR REFERENCE OF HOW MUCH THE LIGHT HAS MELTED THE SOCKET AND THE PLASTIC ORANGE HOUSING AROUND THE BULB. *TR

HOWEVER, ACCORDING TO COMPLAINT NUMBER: 10364224 THE CHEVROLET MALIBU HAD STEERING SHAFT REPLACED PRIOR TO ACCIDENT. THIS WAS PERFORMED AT GM DEALER DUE TO POPPING NOISE WHILE STEERING, DIAGNOSED AT DEALER. REPAIR PAID FOR BY OWNER. CHEVY MALIBU HAD 65,000 MILES AT TIME OF ACCIDENT. *TR
OKAY, NOW I AM REALLY UPSET. THIS IS MY THIRD COMPLAINT ABOUT THE STEERING ON MY 2005 MALIBU. I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN ON A FIXED INCOME AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY TO HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED. THE EVENING NEWS LAST NIGHT REPORTED THAT CHRYSLER IS RECALLING MORE THAN 11,000 CARS, MINIVANS AND OTHER MODELS BECAUSE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM CAN CAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL TO COLLAPSE IMPROPERLY IN A COLLISION. HOW IS THIS ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE PROBLEM WITH THE DESIGN, MANUFACTURING AND SAFETY DEFECT WITH THE CHEVY MALIBU STEERING? ACCORDING TO THEIR NEW COMMERCIALS 'CHEVROLET RUNS DEEP' THEY ARE RIGHT, CHEVY DOES RUN DEEP, DEEP INTO YOUR POCKET. THEIR COLD AND CALLOUSED REFUSAL TO RECALL AND REPAIR THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE A CLEAR INDICATION THAT GM IS TOTALLY UNCONCERNED YOUR SAFETY OR MINE. I OWN A 2005 MALIBU WITH 160,000 MILES ON IT. ON JUNE 16, 2011 I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER'S SERVICE CENTER BECAUSE A WEEK PRIOR MY CAR DOORS UNLOCKED AND MY ENGINE SHUT DOWN AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. THIS HAPPENED TWICE ABOUT FOUR DAYS APART. THEY REPLACED THE OXYGEN SENSOR. AWEEK LATER IT STARTED DOING THE SAME THING BUT ABOUT EVERY TWO TO FOUR DAYS. I TOOK IT BACK ON JULY 16, 2011 AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND TOLD ME TO BRING IT BACK WHEN I COULD LEAVE THE CAR THERE. I HAVE A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU MAXX. WE HAD EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER STEERING AT 87017 MILES. DEALER REPLACED POWER STEERING COLUMN UNDER POLICY 10183. CAR HAS AGAIN HAD THE SAME PROBLEM NOW AT 101754 MILES. POLICY 10183 STATES THAT GM WILL PAY FOR REPAIRS BUT ONLY UP TO 100,000 MILES. I'M 1754 MILES OVER THIS. HOWEVER IT WAS REPAIRED BEFORE ONLY 14,737 MILES AGO. IS GM REPAIRING THIS DEFECT WITH THE SAME DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS? IF SO THIS ENDANGERS EVERYONE AND IS UNETHICAL. THIS CAR HAS HAD NUMEROUS FRONT END ISSUES INCLUDING REPLACING THE STEERING RACK SEVERAL TIMES (CLUNKING NOISE WHEN TURNING - NOW ALSO BACK AGAIN), WHEEL HUB AND BEARING ISSUES AND STEERING COLUMN REPLACED AT 50425 MILES FOR A FAILED TORQUE SENSOR. WE ARE CONCERNED THAT THE VEHICLE MAY NOT BE SAFE TO DRIVE. GM SHOULD BE RE-ENGINEERING THESE COMPONENTS AND REPLACING THE FAILED ONES WITH NEW DESIGN. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL FOR ALL IMPACTED MODELS BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED OR INJURED DUE TO LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHICH CAN BE VERY SUDDEN AND DRAMATIC. GM CLAIMS IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOCK UP OF POWER STEERING; BATTERY LIGHT FLICKS ON AND THEN EVERYTHING LOCKS UP UNTIL YOU REPLACE THE GAS PEDDLE FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS. MY LIGHTS RANDOMLY FLASH AND REAR BULBS ON THE DRIVER SIDE BLOW EVERY 3 DAYS. MY TURN SIGNALS WILL SPORADICALLY BLINK AND THE WIPER BLADES GO OFF WITH OUT WARNING OR BEING PROMPTED. EVEN WITH NO KEYS NEAR OR IN THE CAR IT WILL NOT TURN OVER TO START THE CAR UNTIL YOU FLOOR THE GAS PEDDLE AND HOLD IT THERE FOR 3-5 SECONDS. MY RADIO READS AT -19* ALL THE TIME AND THE CD PLAYER HAS NEVER WORKED CORRECTLY. WHEN GOING FROM 0 TO 50 GETTING ON THE PARKWAY (HIGHWAY) THE WHOLE CAR LOCKS UP AND LOSES POWER INCLUDING THE STEERING RADIO AND LIGHTS UNLESS YOU COMPLETELY RELEASE THE GAS THEN START TO GO AGAIN.
