FIRST I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT STEERING ISSUES AND HAVE HAD PARTS REPLACED PREVIOUSLY ON THIS VEHICLE. NOW I HAVE TO REPLACE STRUTS, AXLES AND NEEDLESS TO SAY NEW TIRES BECAUSE OF THE WEAR ON THEM DUE TO THE STEERING ISSUES. HOWEVER, I HAVE A RECALLED SHIFT CABLE AND HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE LAST YEAR IN AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER. I ASKED ISN'T THIS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THEY STATED , THEY ALL ARE. SO I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE CALL THAT THEY HAVE THIS SHIFT CABLE AND CAN ONLY PRAY NOTHING HAPPENS, LIKE A BAD ACCIDENT. IF SOMETHING WERE IT PROBABLY WOULDN'T BE GOOD FOR YOU ALL. ANYWAY WHEN WILL THIS PART BE IN SO I CAN GET IT TAKEN CARE OF. WENT TO [XXX] IN KANSAS CITY KS. BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM THEM AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES WITH THE CAR. PLEASE ADVISE. BY THE WAY THE SEAT BROKE, THE AUTOMATIC LOCKS STOPPED WORKING AND I'M NOT REAL HAPPY. OF COURSE ITS PAID FOR NOW AND NOT UNDER A WARRANTY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT COULD NOT READ THE SPEEDOMETER AND OTHER ELECTRICAL GAUGES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS WAS A RECURRING FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE IGNITION MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WAS DRIVING ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN THE ELECTRONIC STEERING WENT OUT. THERE IS A RECALL ON IT FOR OVER A MONTH AND THERE IS STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM FIXED. THE CAR IS NOT DRIVABLE IN THIS CONDITION, IT IS A DANGER IF TAKEN ON THE ROAD. THIS VEHICLE IS MY MAIN FORM OF TRANSPORTATION AND NEED IT TO GO TO WORK EVERYDAY IN A 30 MILE COMMUTE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE HOW THERE CAN BE SUCH A MAJOR MALFUNCTION AND A RECALL YET NO PARTS OR TIME FRAME ON WHEN I CAN EXPECT MY CAR TO BE BACK IN DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO THE RECALL, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE SERVICE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT FLASHED ON AND OFF SPORADICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
I AM A MECHANIC AND I DO PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE FOR A LIVING I NOTICED MY PARKING BRAKE CABLE TO BE WORN VERY THIN AND CAUSE OF THE RECENT RECALLS IF A USER WERE TO HIT THE PARKING BRAKE IN AN EMERGENCY OR JUST TO APPLY IT THE BRAKE MIGHT NOT APPLY I STRONGLY BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL FOR THIS CAUSE THE LINE IS RUBBING AGAINST THE FRAME AND THERE IS NO SIMPLE FIX IT HAS TO BE REPLACED AND A PLATE INSTALLED TO KEEP IT FROM RUBBING AGAINST THE FRAME. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT EXHIBIT ANY FAILURES BEFORE THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V252000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL) AND 14V224000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN A THIRD SAFETY RECALL, BUT WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM IF THE MANUFACTURER PERFORMED THE RECALL REPAIR FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE KEY WAS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FROM THE IGNITION, VARIOUS WARNING LAMPS ILLUMINATED, AND THE GEAR LIGHTS DID NOT ILLUMINATE FOR THE GEAR BOX WHEN THE DRIVER CHANGED GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAITED FOR LONGER THAN TWO WEEKS FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE FURTHER INSPECTED AND DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WE HAVE RECEIVED 3 SEPARATE RECALL NOTICES FROM GM. (1 FOR ELECTRIC STEERING, 1 FOR BRAKE APPLY SENSOR AND 1 FOR A SHIFT CABLE FRACTURE). HOWEVER, GM WILL NOT FIX ANY OF THE PROBLEMS. THEY TELL US TO CALL THE DEALER. THE DEALER THEN TELLS US THAT GM WILL NOT SUPPLY THE PARTS. UPON CALLING GM A THIRD TIME, THEY WILL NOT REVEAL WHO IS MAKING THESE PARTS, WHERE THEY ARE COMING FROM, OR HAVE ANY IDEA WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. THEY AGAIN INSTRUCT US TO CALL THE DEALER. EACH RECALL STATES THAT IT IS AN "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" IN ACCORDANCE FEDERAL LAWS BUT YET NOBODY WILL FIX ANY OF THE ISSUES. THE FIRST RECALL NOTICE CAME IN 2012 FOR ELECTRIC STEERING. WE ARE STILL BEING TOLD THERE ARE NOT PARTS TO FIX THIS. THE BRAKE APPLY SENSOR CAME IN JULY 2014. THE SHIFT CABLE FRACTURE ALSO CAME IN JULY 2014. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING CAUSING THE THE STEERING WHEEL TO SEIZE. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDOWS AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO OPERATE. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THE IGNITION WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 14V400000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. MY WIFE WAS SLOWING DOWN TO ENTER A REST STOP IN HER 2005 CHEVY MALIBU MAXX WHEN THERE WAS A DING AND POWER STEERING WAS DISPLAYED ON THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER. AT THE SAME TIME, SHE NOTICED SHE HAD LOST POWER STEERING. SHE WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE SAFELY AND TURNED IT OFF. A FEW MINUTES LATER, SHE RESTARTED THE CAR. THERE WAS NO LONGER THE POWER STEERING DISPLAY AND THE POWER STEERING HAD RETURNED. A RECALL NOTICE WAS ISSUED ON APRIL 21 FOR ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST FOR THIS GENERATION OF MALIBU (GM RECALL NO. N140116; NHTSA RECALL NO. 14V153) BUT WE STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN A LETTER. WHEN I CALLED THE CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER, I WAS TOLD PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. APPARENTLY THERE ARE THREE OTHER GM ELECTRIC POWER STEERING RECALLS, WITH PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE THREE OTHERS BUT NOT OUR CAR. SO FAR THE PROBLEM HASN'T RETURNED, BUT ONCE IT HAPPENS THE FIRST TIME DOUBT GETS PLANTED. ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THIS IS AT LEAST THE SECOND TIME THERE HAS BEEN SUCH A RECALL. WE GOT A RECALL NOTICE IN LATE 2007 FOR THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM AS WELL, AND I'M PRETTY SURE THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE BEFORE THIS YEAR'S RECALL.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP, IT JERKED VIOLENTLY. THE CONTACT HAD TO EXERT FORCE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO KEEP THE VEHICLE AT A STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING FAILURE TO START AND STALLING OF VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING, ON OCCASION. TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE AT A LOCAL, REPUTABLE SHOP IN MADISON HEIGHTS, MI. WAS INFORMED IT NEEDED A FUEL PUMP. JOB WAS COMPLETED. UPON PICKING UP CAR ABOUT AUGUST 5, 2014, DROVE IT AWAY BUT RETURNED TO AREA OF SHOP TO ASK MECHANIC A QUESTION. ABOUT 1/8 MILE FROM SHOP AND AT ABOUT 35 MPH, THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. ALL AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS--BRAKES, STEERING, DASHBOARD LIGHTS, ETC.--FAILED AS WELL. ENGINE DID NOT FALTER PRIOR TO THIS; IT SIMPLY SHUT DOWN. WE WERE ABLE TO COAST INTO THE SHOP'S PARKING LOT, THANKFULLY! SHOP HAD CAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS AFTERWARD DUE TO A MAJOR FLOOD IN SE MICHIGAN ABOUT THAT TIME. UPON THEIR RESUMING WORK ON IT, THEY ALSO EXPERIENCED THE ENGINE FAILURE DURING A TEST DRIVE. WE THEN TOOK CAR TO SERRA CHEVROLET IN SOUTHFIELD, MI, WHERE WE HAD PURCHASED IT SOME MONTHS EARLIER. WE WERE INFORMED IT WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH--OUT OF WARRANTY AND NO RECALL EXISTING--AND THE JOB WAS COMPLETED, AT OUR EXPENSE. WE FOLLOWED UP THIS REPAIR WITH A REQUEST TO GENERAL MOTORS FOR A REFUND OF THE $578.38 CHARGE. GM REFUSED, STATING THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. WE OBJECT TO THIS! THIS APPEARS TO BE THE CLASSIC ENGINE FAILURE/IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM GM HAS EXPERIENCED ON HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CARS, IN AND OUT OF WARRANTY. WE NOTE THAT IN THEIR REFUSAL, GM DID NOT USE THE WORD "RECALL," MAKING US BELIEVE THEY ARE DODGING THAT ISSUE UNTIL SUCH TIME, AS WE EXPECT, THE RECALL OF THEIR CARS WITH THE CLASSIC ENGINE FAILURE/IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM WILL EXTEND BACK TO 2005 MODELS! ANY ASSISTANCE OR ADVICE YOU CAN EXTEND IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE APPRECIATED. *JS

I RECEIVED A LETTER IN JULY FROM GM ADVISING ME OF A RECALL OF MY TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE. IN SHORT, IT COULD FRACTURE AT ANY MOMENT, CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. IT ALSO HAS BEGUN SHIFTING TO DIFFERENT GEARS WITHOUT PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO THE GEAR SHIFT BUTTON. IN OTHER WORDS, IT CAN SHIFT INTO A DIFFERENT GEAR ON ITS OWN. THIS AS MY PRIMARY TRANSPORTATION. THE PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR ARE A RESULT OF THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE, UNDER RECALL 14152. IN THE LETTER (AGAIN, RECEIVED IN JULY) I WAS INFORMED THAT CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. IT IS NOW THE END OF AUGUST AND THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. MY QUESTION TO GM, AS A SINGLE WOMAN WITH ONE VEHICLE THAT I CAN'T SAFELY DRIVE, WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? THEY HAD NO ANSWER. WHEN IS GM GOING TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE POSITION IN WHICH THEY HAVE PUT THOUSANDS OF CONSUMERS? WHY ISN'T THERE A FORCED BUY BACK? AND WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO UNTIL THEY MAKE PARTS AVAILABLE? *TR
FOR THE PAST 4-5 MONTHS, EVERY TIME WE FILL UP WITH GAS AND THEN START THE CAR, THE FUEL GAUGE JUMPS UP TO FULL, STAYS THERE FOR A FEW MILES, THEN DROPS TO EMPTY AND LOW FUEL MESSAGE COMES ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LAMP ALSO COMES ON AND STAYS ON. AFTER ABOUT 20-30 MILES, THE FUEL GAUGE GOES BACK TO FULL AND AT THE POINT, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES OFF. THIS DOESN'T ALWAYS HAPPEN. SOMETIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON UNTIL THE NEXT FILL-UP, THEN THE SAME THING HAPPENS ALL OVER AGAIN.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SEAT WOULD INDEPENDENTLY MOVE WHICH EVER WAY THE WEIGHT OF THE DRIVER WAS SHIFTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE KEY BECAME STUCK CAUSING HIM TO BE UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,728.
TAKATA RECALL. WHEN THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BROKE IN MY CAR, THE RECALL COVERED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CABLE.. BUT THE KEY IS STUCK IN MY CAR EVERY SINCE THIS INCIDENT OF THE CABLE.. MY CAR WAS STATIONARY, JUST WITHIN MINUTES OF GETTING OF THE INTERSTATE. I PULLED INTO STORE PARKING LOT. THE CABLE BROKE, THE KEY WAS STUCK. I HAD TO BE TOWED HOME. TO THIS DAY, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY.. BOTH OF THESE INCIDENTS HAPPENED AT THE SAME TIME. THIS SHOULD OF BEEN FIXED, BUT IT WASN'T. NOW MY CAR IS HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND SOMETIMES WON'T START.. PLEASE HELP ME TO CORRECT THIS. *TR
THE SEAT IS NO LONGER ATTACHED TO THE SEAT TRACK ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE SEAT LEANS TO THE RIGHT EVEN WITHOUT A DRIVER IN THE SEAT. THE FACTORY WELD HAS GIVEN OUT ON THE TRACK. WE FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE IF IT WAS TO BE INVOLVED IN A CRASH. THERE WAS NO INCIDENT THAT CAUSED THE WELD TO FAIL OTHER THAN GOING AROUND A CORNER AT NORMAL SPEEDS. WHEN RESEARCHING REPAIR FOR THE VEHICLE WE HAVE NOTED MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP VAPOR LINE WAS CRACKED AND LEAKING FUMES. THE MECHANIC WAS ALSO UNSURE AS TO HOW THE FUEL LINE BECAME FRACTURED. THE MECHANIC ALSO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT IF HE DID NOT GET THE VEHICLE REPAIRED AND THE LEAK CONTINUED, THE VEHICLE WOULD POSSIBLY EXPLODE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND I WAS STUCK IN EVERYONE'S WAY. TRIED TO STEER TO THE SHOULDER BUT I WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH. AFTER THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF FOR AWHILE I STARTED IT UP AND THE STEERING CAME BACK ON JUST LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE IT HOME. CHEVY SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE PART NUMBERS BUT OTHER PRIVATELY OWNED SHOPS IN MY AREA SAY THEY CAN GET THE PARTS AND FIX IT. *TR

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL MECHANICS GIVE ME DIFFERENT DIAGNOSIS' AND HAVE SPENT A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REMEDY THIS AND EVERY THING HAS FAILED. I RECENTLY DID SOME RESEARCH AND CAME ACROSS THIS WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. I HAVE A CHEVY MALIBU 2005, THE DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHT/TURN SIGNAL KEEPS BURNING OUT AND HAVE TO REPLACE IT EVERY 2 WEEKS, THE SOCKET GETS SO HOT AND BURNS THE BULB OUT. IT IS HAPPENING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE.I AM GETTING TIRED OF THIS. I FEEL CHEVY SHOULD DO A RECALL ON THIS, WHEN IT BURNS OUT THEN I HAVE NO TURN SIGNAL AND TIRED OF REPLACING THE BULB. I THINK THIS IS WHAT IT IS CALLED. SOMEBODY HAS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. AND IF I DON'T FIX IT I HAVE A CHANCE OF GETTING A TICKET FOR NOT HAVING IT WORKING. FOR AWHILE NOW MY POWER STEERING INDICATOR HAS BEEN GOING OFF AND A FEW MONTHS AGO IT HAD BECOME AN ISSUE WHEN I VEERED OFF THE ROAD ON A U-TURN. FEW WEEKS AGO I HAD ANOTHER INCIDENT TO WHERE I WAS BACKING INTO A SPOT AND COULDN'T TURN MY WHEEL AND ALMOST HIT THE CAR BEHIND ME. THE CHIME GOES OFF 2-3 TIMES A WEEK AND HAVE TROUBLE STARTING MY CAR SOMETIMES AD WELL. BEING CONCERNED I HAD DONE SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON MY 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED GM AND THEY TOOK INFO FROM ME AND LEFT MESSAGE FOR CHEVY TO CALL ME. WHILE ACCELERATING ONTO AN EXPRESSWAY THE WARNING CHIME SOUNDED, A CLICK WAS HEARD UNDER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, AND THE (ELECTRIC) POWER STEERING ASSIST QUIT. ALSO A BATTERY SYMBOL ILLUMINATED MOMENTARILY ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. REDUCING ACCELERATION CAUSED THE POWER STEERING ASSIST TO RETURN TO NORMAL. UPON FURTHER TESTING IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THIS HAPPENS REPEATEDLY AT ANY SPEED WHEN UNDER HEAVY ACCELERATION (OFTEN AT ABOUT 4000 RPM) AND WHILE HILL CLIMBING UNDER LOAD AT ABOUT 2100 RPM. IT WAS NOTED THAT SIMULTANEOUSLY THE BATTERY VOLTAGE WENT EXCESSIVELY HIGH (16V, SOMETIMES 17V) AND OCCASIONALLY MULTIPLE (ALL?) INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATE. IF THE POWER STEERING ASSIST QUITS WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL TENDS TO JERK HARD TOWARDS GOING STRAIGHT, A DECIDED SAFETY ISSUE. THIS MAY BE THE SAME ISSUE DETAILED IN THE JUNE 2010 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: TSB # 08-02-32-005A AND IT APPEARS TO NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *TR

FROM READING THESE POSTS FROM OTHER CONSUMERS, THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE CAR WAS MANUFACTURED. I WAS ON MY WAY TO SCHOOL. WHEN I TOOK MY EXIT (23 ON ROUTE 2), THE CAR SIMPLY TURNED OFF, LOCKING MY STEERING WHEEL. I LOST CONTROL, SPUNG TWICE AND LANDED ON THE RAMP OF THAT EXIT. IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF I-85 ATLANTA, 3:30 P.M.. WE WERE IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC,STOP AND GO, VERY SLOW TRAFFIC. SUDDENLY, MY CAR SHOOK AND THEN CUT OFF. WHILE TRAVELING HOME I WAS PULLED OVER BY A STATE TROOPER. I WAS TOLD I WAS NOT USING MY SIGNAL LIGHTS AND MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS MY ABS LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON BUT I JUST HAD BRAKES PUT ON MY CAR. WHEN I DRIVE IN THE RAIN MY BRAKE PETAL GOES ALMOST TO THE FLOOR BEFORE I CAN STOP AND MY CAR MAKES STRANGE SCRUBBING NOISES FROM TIME TO TIME. AS ADVISED I HAD MY LIGHTS CHECKED BY A PROFESSIONAL AND IT WAS FOUND MY LIGHTS SEEMED TO BE BURNED/MELTED AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THE BULBS CONNECT TO THE BASE. I HAVE REPLACED THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY HAVE TO BE REPLACED SO OFTEN. DUE TO THESE ISSUES I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IN THE RAIN AND CONSTANTLY CHECK MY BRAKE AND SIGNAL LIGHTS. *TR
