LOSS POWER STEERING ON EXPRESS WAY, BEING 77 YEARS OLD HAD HARD TIME TRYING TO STAY ON HIGHWAY. LOOK ON INTERNET AND SEEN RECALL IN 2009 FOR PROBLEMS WITH DORMAN PARTS FOR STEERING.WANT TO BY NEW CHEV BUT AFRAID NEXT BUYER MIGHT GET IN BAD ACCIDENT WHAT SHOULD I DO.
THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ISSUED FOR CERTAIN 2009 MALIBU MINE DOES NOT FIT IN THAT RECALL BUT I AM EXPERIENCING THE PROBLEM ON THAT RECALL MY STEERING WENT OUT LIKE IT SAYS IN THAT RECALL AND I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE I COULD NOT STEER MY CAR
THEY TRY TO FIX EVERYTING BUT THEY STILL COME ON
DRIVING THE MALIBU DOWN THE COUNTRY ROAD AND SOME CODE FLASHED ON THE DASH AND THEN SAID POWER REDUCTION AND NOW ITS MAKING A WEIRD NOISE AND CAR ONLY DRIVES SLOW, IF THIS HAPPENS ON A HIGHWAY THEIR WILL BE A CRASH AS WHEN THE POWER REDUCTION KICKED ON IT TURNED OFF TRACTION CONTROL AND POWER STEERING MAKING IT HARD TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL THANK GOODNESS I WAS IN THE COUNTRY WITH LITTLE TRAFFIC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, A FEDEX TRUCK CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND PUSHED THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE INTO TRAFFIC. AS A RESULT, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000. *BF UPDATED 8/20/18*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE POWER STEERING ABILITY SEIZED. ALSO, THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE CHIME SOUNDED. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, THE FAILURE WENT AWAY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT LEAST TWENTY TIMES PREVIOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,898.
CAR WILL NOT START AND IT GIVES MESSAGE OF SERVICE TRACTION, SERVICE ESC. I SEE THAT OTHER 2009 MALIIBU HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE SAME REASONS. WHY NOT MINE? I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING AND I THINK IT MAY BE THE WIRING. THE RECALL #14V252000 COVERS THIS.
WHILE DRIVING WITH MY LIGHTS ON THE LEFT HEADLIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. I'VE PLACED ANOTHER BULB IN AND IT'S STILL DOING THE SAME. IT ONLY HAPPEN ON DIME THE BRIGHTS WORKS FINE.
SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE FOR 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. HEADLIGHTS LOW BEAM BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT KEEP GOING OUT SOON AFTER REPLACEMENT OF THE PIGTAIL CONNECTOR THAT CONNECTS THE HEADLAMPS TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. BURNS OUT WITHIN ONE OR TWO WEEKS OF BEING REPLACED. THE LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENTS SAY IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED TO STOP THE PIGTAIL FROM BURNING OUT. WE CALLED CHEVROLET AND THEY WILL NOT HELP. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE IN CHEVROLET MALIBU 2009 CHATROOMS THIS IS A VERY COMMON SAFETY PROBLEM. IF THE LIGHTS BURN OUT AT NIGHT WE ARE IN TROUBLE. TO REPLACE THE PIGTAIL CONNECTOR THE FRONT BUMPER HAS TO BE REMOVED, COSTING OVER $200 PER INCIDENT. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT CANNOT BE RESOLVED AT CHEVROLET SERVICE DEPARTMENTS. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO NOT PERMANENTLY BE ABLE TO REPAIR THIS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE?
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD COME TO FIND OUT BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT MY BRAKE LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY WHEN NOT APPLYING THE BRAKES THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON ACTING AS IF I WAS BREAKING AND WHEN I BRAKE THE BRAKE LIGHTS TURN OFF SO IN OTHER WORDS IT'S REVERSED. AND ALSO WHEN I GOOGLED ONLINE TO FIND OUT IF I COULD FIND THE PROBLEM MULTIPLE PEOPLE WERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS I GOOGLED WHY ARE MY BRAKE LIGHTS ON WHEN NOT APPLYING THE BRAKES AND ALSO ACCORDING TO SOME PEOPLE ONLINE THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THE DEALER WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR THEM. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND VERY DANGEROUS AND RIGHT NOW I FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING MY CAR ESPECIALLY IN THE SITUATION THAT I AM IN.
I WAS DRIVING ON I-95 IN NORTH DAKOTA. STRAIGHT ROAD, NO VEHICLES NEAR ME, NO BUMPS AND MY PASSENGER CURTAIN AIRBAG EXPLODED. I WAS GOING ABOUT 80 MPH.
SITTING AT A STOP SIGN AND MY SERVICE ESC LIGHT CAME ON. AS I TURNED ONTO THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED MY STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY TIGHT AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT WAS ALSO ON. IT WAS VERY HARD TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER, AND TURNED THE CAR OFF.
THE BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT ALWAYS COME ON WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS PRESSED. OTHER TIMES THE BRAKE LIGHTS, INCLUDING THE CENTER BRAKE LIGHT IS ON WITHOUT THE PEDAL BEING PRESSED. NOTE THIS OCCURS BOTH WHEN STATIONARY AND MOVING.
I HAD BEEN NOTICING THE SMELL OF GASOLINE AROUND THE EXTERIOR OF MY 2009 MALIBU AFTER SHUTTING DOWN THE MOTOR. I COULD NOT DETECT ANY LOCATION OF WHERE THE LEAK WAS COMING FROM. ADDITIONALLY, AT TIMES MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND THEN GO OFF. THIS COINCIDED WITH THE VEHICLE RUNNING "ODDLY". SO, I TOOK IT IN TO MICHAEL'S CHEVROLET IN FRESNO, CA FOR A REPAIR ESTIMATED AT $350. LATER THEY CALLED ME WITH A REVISED ESTIMATE OF $1950 TO COVER REPLACEMENT OF THE "CRACKED FUEL PUMP MODULE REED LINE, AND, REPLACEMENT OF THE AIR PUMP.... I REFUSED TO LET THEM DO THE WORK AFTER BEING EDUCATED ON THE PROBLEM VIA THE INTERNET. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATED AMOUNT FOR THE COST OF THE DIAGNOSIS. IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE FOR A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP?
THE ESC WORKS ON / OFF WHILE DRIVING ON LOCAL ROADS, AND HIGHWAY. WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKE OR SLOWING DOWN, THERE IS A JERKING.
PASSENGER LOW BEAM KEEPS GOING OUT. I'VE REPLACED THE BULB 3 TIMES IN ONE YEAR, AND EVEN CHANGED THE HOUSING. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH SEVERAL MODEL YEARS OF THE MALIBU.
THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST HAS STOPPED WORKING ON THREE OCCASIONS IN THE LAST MONTH. POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT APPEARS. IT HAS BEEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS DRIVING STRAIGHT OR WHILE TURNING DURING THE FIRST MILE AFTER START ON A CITY STREET. THE VEHICLE WILL BECOME DIFFICULT TO STEER. I PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURN OFF ENGINE, AND RESTART. IT WILL THEN DRIVE WITHOUT PROBLEM. I NOTED A RECALL ON THE 2009 MALIBU #14V153000 BUT HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED BY CHEVROLET.
THE CAR LOSES SPEED WHILE DRIVING THEN REDUCE POWER SHOWS ON DASHBOARD. WHEN STOP ENGINE SHAKING AND SOMETIMES DOES NOT START.. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULDN'T FIND PROBLEM I ALREADY SPEND OVER 4000 AND STILL HAPPEN.
THE CAR'S POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE I WAS IN MOTION, TURNING IN A PARKING GARAGE. AN ERROR MESSAGE DISPLAYED SAYING "POWER STEERING FAILURE - SERVICE ESC". THE FIRST TIME THIS CAME UP WAS ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO, AND I TOOK IT TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY FIXED IT UNDER WARRANTY. THIS SAME PROBLEM JUST CAME UP AGAIN AND I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM, GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF RECALL INFORMATION I'VE SEEN ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE CONTACT FELT AN ABNORMALITY WHILE STEERING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND EVERYTHING APPEARED NORMAL. THE CONTACT BEGAN TO DRIVE AGAIN WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL PULLED TO THE RIGHT WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AGAIN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL AND WHEELS STARTED TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY AND THE POWER STEERING, SERVICE ESC, AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (PINEGAR CHEVROLET BUICK GMC OF BRANSON, 163 ADAIR RD, BRANSON, MO, 65616). THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BE DIAGNOSED ON THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, JULY 17, 2017. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT FOR LOSS OF ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING A SALVAGE TITLE UNDER CASE NUMBER: [XXX]. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE ONLY WAY THE VEHICLE WOULD BE COVERED WAS IF THERE WAS A RECALL OR SAFETY ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 93,850. THE BRAKE LIGHTS ON MY MALIBU ARE NOT WORKING. THE BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATE WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL APPLIED AND TURN OFF WHEN THE PEDAL IS APPLIED. ALSO, MY ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL AND CRUISE CONTROL DO NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD THIS FIXED FOUR TIMES ALREADY, TWO WHICH I PAID FOR OUT OF POCKET, AND THEN TWO FROM A SUBSEQUENT RECALL. I BROUGHT MY CAR IN TODAY TO GET IT REPAIRED FOR THIS PROBLEM THE FIFTH TIME. IS THERE SOMETHING SYSTEMICALLY WRONG BEYOND WHAT THE RECALL ADDRESSES?
1) AWHILE BACK, AFTER STARTING AND WARMING ENGINE AND TAKING OFF, WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN ON CITY STREET, CAR TURN OFF COMPLETELY..WHEEL FROZE AFTER TURN. I TURNED KEY OFF AND RESTARTED CAR AND IT WOULD WORK OK. IT HAPPENED 3 0R 4 TIMES. NO WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. 2) WHILE ON FREEWAY, TIRE MONITOR WARNING LIGHT CAME ON TWICE, I BOUGHT TIRES BUT DID NOT HAVE MONITORS CHECKED. A FEW DAYS LATER ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. NOW, I NEEDED SMOG DONE, HAD TO REPLACE CATALIC CONVERTER (1400.00) AND MECHANIC HAS A PROBLEM WITH CAR COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM. ITS COSTING ME TOO MUCH. THERE IS RECALL ON SOMETHING HAVING TO DO WITH BRAKES.. COULD THIS COMMUNICATIONS PROBLEM BE RELATED? I DID HAVE BRAKE PADS REPLACED LAST YEAR. THE RECALL HAS TO WITH BCM AND BAS (MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS OCCASSIONALLY FLUCTUATE AND TAKE A WHILE FOR LIGHTS TO COME ON BRIGHT WITH DASHBOARD BUTTON ALL WAY TO BRIGHT.). REMOTE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING 6 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT CAR IN 2010...DOORS HAVE TO BE LOCKED MANUALLY..EXCEPT FOR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, POWER WINDOWS DO NOT WORK. MY CONCERN RIGHT NOW IS HAVING IT SMOGGED AND TIRE MONITORS.
I AM HAVING DIFFICULTY WITH THE LATCHES ON MY DOORS. IT STARTED WITH MY PASSENGER FRONT DOOR. I WOULD CLOSE THE DOOR AND IT WOULD POP OPEN A LITTLE AND WOULDN'T CLOSE. AFTER A FEW TRIES IT CLOSED BUT THIS WOULD INTERMITTENTLY HAPPEN FROM TIME TO TIME. EVENTUALLY IT CLOSED PERMANENTLY AND NOW WILL NOT OPEN AT ALL. IT IS A SAFETY HAZZARD THAT THE DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED. THIS IS NOW BEGINNING TO HAPPEN WITH THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT DOOR, WHERE WHEN I CLOSE IT AND IT WON'T STAY CLOSED, I HAVE TO HOLD IT WHILE DRIVING ON OCCASION. THEN IT WILL SHUT AND WORK AND THEN IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO HAVE TO DRIVE AND HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED AND I CANNOT IMAGINE HAVING TWO FRONT DOORS THAT WON'T OPEN. THIS REALLY HAS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY.
THE DOOR LOCKS GO UP AND DOWN BY THERE SELF.. WHICH RESORTS TO BATTERY GOING DEAD... THEY NEVER STOP.. EVEN WHEN CAR IS OFF THEY STILL FLICK UP AND DOWN..
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN). WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE, THE DISPLAY ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN NEUTRAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED VARIOUS TIMES, IN VARIOUS GEARS, AND WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COPELAND CHEVROLET (955 PEARL ST, BROCKTON, MA 02301) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND FAILED TO ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
STRONG GAS ORDER IS COMING FROM MY 09' MALIBU. PROBLEM STARTED OVER 4 MONTHS AGO. THE ORDER CAN BE SMELLED EVEN WHILE THE CAR HAS BEEN PARKED. THERE IS NO LEAKING OR SPOTTING ON THE GROUND BUT THE SMELL IS VERY OVER POWERING. THE SMELL IS STRONGEST NEAR DRIVER'S SIDE REAR. THE SMELL IS VERY UNBEARABLE NOW.
OUR 2009 LTZ HAS THE SAME LOW-SPEED STEERING ISSUE AS DESCRIBED IN YOUR 2014 RECALL FOR THE 2008-2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU. BUT, THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER SAYS THAT OUR VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. OBVIOUSLY, THIS DEFECT EXTENDS BEYOND THE VIN NUMBERS RECALLED BY THE NHTSA. RECALL NUMBER 14V153000 RECALL DATE 03/31/2014 COMPONENT STEERING: ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AS I'M DRIVING, MY CAR WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN GO INTO ENG PWR REDUCED MODE AND IT WILL SAY THAT ALONG WITH SERVICE TRACTION AND SERVICE ESC. TRAVELING ON THE HWY WHERE SPEED LIMIT IS 65 OR INTERSTATE WHERE SPEED LIMIT IS 80 AND ALL OF A SUDDEN HAVING YOUR CAR POWER DOWN IS SO DANGEROUS!! MY ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR MONTHS AND WHEN TAKEN INTO MECHANIC, IT SHOWS 8 DIFFERENT CODES. I HAVE BEEN ON THE CHEVY FORUM REGARDING THIS AND IT SEEMS THERE IS NO ANSWER TO THIS. I ALSO CALLED GM AND WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM FOR 45 MINUTES. NO RECALLS OR SPECIAL WARRANTY ON THE MALIBU'S FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT YET THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE DISCUSSING THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE ON THEIR WEBSITE. THE CHEVY DEALER IS NOW TELLING ME IT IS THE INTAKE & EXHAUST SOLENOID BUT WITH A PRICE TAG OF OVER $300 TO DO THIS, I'M SCARED THIS WILL NOT CORRECT MY PROBLEM. IN THE DATE FIELD BELOW I USED TODAY'S DATE BUT IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER A PERIOD OF SEVERAL MONTHS.
WAS DRIVING THE CAR TO WORK, STOPPED AT MC DONALD'S TO GET BREAKFAST IN THE DRIVE THROUGH. LEFT MC DONALD'S WAS CURVING ONTO THE ON RAMP TO 291 HWY WHEN I LOST POWER STEERING ALMOST CAUSING ME TO GO OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. A WARNING MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED. I THEN GOT THE CAR PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. WHEN I TURNED THE VEHICLE ON EVERYTHING WAS OK. IT HAS DONE THIS ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS.

ON FRIDAY, 19 MAY 2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:15 PM I WAS DRIVING WESTBOUND ON THUNDERBIRD ROAD AND 84TH AVENUE IN PEORIA, ARIZONA WHILE OPERATING MY WHITE IN COLOR 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU AT FORTY MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, I HEARD A LOUD BANG, SAW A FLASH OF LIGHT AND SMELLED A FIRE. INSTANTLY, SHRAPNEL FLEW THROUGHOUT THE CAR AND MY SEATBELT TIGHTENED. THE FIRST THING I THOUGHT WAS HAVE I BEEN SHOT OR IS MY CAR ON FIRE? I IMMEDIATELY LOST MY HEARING FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AND HAD PAIN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY CHEST. MY PASSENGER CURTAIN SIDE AIRBAGS HAD DEPLOYED SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT NOTICE. I WENT INSIDE TO THE MIRROR TO EXAMINE MY BODY, TO SEE HOW HURT I WAS. I WASN'T BLEEDING, BUT IT FELT LIKE I HAD BEEN BURNED, MY CHEST WAS STINGING AND I HAD BURNS AND WELTS ON MY CHEST THAT WERE APPROXIMATELY THREE INCHES IN LENGTH AND TWO INCHES WIDE. I WAS VERY CONCERNED SO I THEN TOOK A SHOWER TO WASH THE CHEMICALS AND WHATEVER HAD FLOWN THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE OFF OF MY BODY. DOORS LOCK AND YOU CANT GET OUT OF OR IN THE CAR EVEN IF YOUR HOLDING AN INFANT CHILD AND ITS 3 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND I CAN'T USE THE UNLOCK BUTTON TO GET IN AND THE [XXX] KEY WONT EVEN OPEN THE DOOR. I PURCHASED AS MANY RAIN DETERRENTS AS I COULD TRY OUT WHICH NONE LAST BUT A FEW MINS.. THEN BETWEEN GETTING PULLED OVER BY POLICE COUNTLESS TIMES FOR HEADLIGHT BEING OUT AND I FIX IT THEN THE SAME ONE OR EVEN THE OTHER SIDE THE NEXT WEEK WILL GO OUT JUST 1 MONTH LATER IT GOES BACK OUT AND THAT SAME COP STOP YOU AGAIN AND THEY DON'T BELIEVE YOU THAT IT WAS JUST REPLACED. THEN THE INTERIOUR LIGHTS ALL OF THEM FROM GAUGES AND HEADLAMPS TURN ON. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY TELLING ME TO SERVICE SVC TIRE SENSORS AND OTHER ABBREVIATED SENSORS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS ON. ALSO AND MAYBE THE MOST DANGEROUS IS THE CRUISE CONTROL MALFUNCTIONS WHICH RANGE FROM ONLY WORKING OCCASIONALLY TO ACCELERATION ENGAGES IF YOU SCROLL THREW SCREEN OPTIONS AND USE CRUISE CONTROL SIMULTANEOUSLY . AND SOMETIMES MY TRUNK WILL JUST POP OPEN WHEN THE CAR STARTS. CAR TURNED OFF WHILE SITTING IN THE DRIVE THRU LINE. CAR TURNED OFF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. SOMETIMES WILL START BACK, SOMETIMES WILL NOT START BACK AND HAS TO BE TOWED. AFTER WAITING A FEW DAYS THE CAR WILL DRIVE AS NORMAL AND THEN THE NEXT TIME THE CAR WILL TURN OFF AGAIN. THE CAR WILL TURN OVER, BUT NOT CRANK. EARLIER TODAY 04-09-17 THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AT FIRST, AFTER A FEW TRIES THE ENGINE TURNED OVER BUT WHILE DRIVING IT IN TOWN IT COMPLETELY DIED.
