THE HEADLIGHT KEEP BURNING OUT. I HAVE REPLACED IT THREE TIMES IN TWO MONTHS. PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT
THE FRONT PASSENGER HEADLIGHTS LOW BEAM KEEPS GOING OUT I HAVE CHANGED THE SOCKET 2 TIMES AND CHANGED THE WIRE HARNESS 1 TIME AND IT'S ONLY THE LOW BEAM BURNING OUT ON REPEAT LIKE EVERY OTHER MONTH I CHANGE IT AND TRY FIXING IT WITH NEW SOCKETS OR LIGHTS AND IT KEEPS BURNING OUT I THINK THIS HAS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE FROM MANUFACTURER BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT LOW BEAM PLEASE CAN WE GET THIS RECALLED AND FIXED PLEASE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE TIMING CHAIN FAILED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LOSE ALL POWER. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO COAST OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE ENGINE, BUT IT FAILED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO OZARK CHEVROLET (1020 N 18TH ST, OZARK, MO 65721, (417) 297-0091) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN SYSTEM FAILED AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE TO SIX MONTHS FOR NOT OPERATING CORRECTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 136,000.
MY CAR WILL DISPLAY THE SERVICE ESC/TCS LIGHT AND THEN THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE MY CAR IS GOING TO DIE FOR NO REASON. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS, NORMALLY HAPPENS WHEN ROAD CONDITIONS ARE EXCELLENT. I USUALLY HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND TURN MY CAR OFF AND RESTART ENGINE, THEN CAR RUNS LIKE NEW AGAIN.
I HAVE HAD 2 FRONT END COLLISION WITH WILD HOGS THE SECOND WAS REAL BAD. THE ENTIRE FRONT END ON THE PASSENGER SIDE INCLUDING THE DOOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE AIRBAG NEVER EXPLODED NEITHER TIME. WHEN I PURCHASE THE VEHICLE IN 2012 OR 13 THE AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD COME ON BUT GO OF FOR AWHILE. I COMPLAINED ABOUT IT TO THE DEALER BUT THEY WOULD ALWAYS SAY NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT WAS INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT FUNCTIONED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MILLER BROTHERS CHEVROLET OF ELLICOTT CITY, LOCATED AT 9035 BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, ELLICOTT CITY, MD 21042, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
VEHICLE LIGHTS DIM, LOSS OF POWER, ESC, TRACTION CONTROL, ILLUMINATES ON DASH. CAR SPUTTERS WITH NO ACCELERATION. CAR IS UNABLE TO TURN. THIS HAPPENED AS I BEGAN TO LEAVE MY SUBDIVISION, LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PUSH IT BACK. I HAVE A NEW BATTERY NO CAR WILL NOT CRANK UNLESS I HAVE A JUMP.
PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT STOPPED WORKING. ALL OTHER LIGHTS WORK FINE. REPLACED BULB AND WIRING HARNESS FOR THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND STILL WONT WORK. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION MANY OTHER CHEVY MALIBU OWNERS HAVE THE SAME EXACT ISSUE WITH THE SAME EXACT LIGHT. THE LIGHT JUST STOPPED WORKING ONE DAY WHILE STATIONARY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED, THE RPMS REVVED, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER, AND A SPEED SENSOR FOR THE ENGINE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE A CODE FOR THE SPEED SENSOR WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH PRIORITY CHEVROLET (1495 S MILITARY HWY, CHESAPEAKE, VA 23320, (757) 424-1811) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND FOUND A LOT OF THE SAME MODEL VEHICLES THAT WERE EXPERIENCING THE SAME FAILURES EVEN WITH THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED AROUND 90,000 TO 95,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS NUMBERS TIMES IN THE LAST 3 YEARS. THE LAST TIME A COUPLE WEEKS AGO I FOUND BOTH ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS WERE BURNED. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM AND HAD TO REPLACE THE CONNECTORS. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING AND THAT IT CAN BE A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. CHEVROLET SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL FOR THESE FAULTY CONNECTORS.
ESC LIGHT COMES OFF AND ON HEADLIGHTS BURNOUT AFTER MAYBE A FEW MONTHS OF BEING CHANGED FOR THE LAST COUPLE YEARS.
I HAVE CHANGED MY HEADLIGHTS LIGHT 5 TIMES WITHIN THE 2 YEARS I HAVE HAD THE CAR. BOTH HEADLIGHTS WAS RECENTLY OUT GOT THEM REPLACED A WEEK AGO AND SURE ENOUGH THEY ARE OUT AGAIN. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. THIS IS TOO EXPENSIVE AND IF THIS IS AN KNOWN ISSUE I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL
THE PASSENGER LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT HAS HAD CONSISTENT ISSUE GOING OUT. THE LIGHT HAS APPEARED TO 'BURN OUT' THREE TIMES IN THE LAST TWO YEARS. JUST REPAIRED THE HEADLIGHT 5 MONTHS AGO AND NOTICED THAT THE BULB ACTUALLY WAS NOT BURNED OUT IT APPEARED TO NOT BE FULLY CONNECTED IN THE BASE. THE ISSUE KEEPS HAPPENING AND IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT COULD HAPPEN AT ANY TIME WHILE DRIVING. HEADLIGHT REPAIRS REQUIRE COMPLETELY REMOVING FRONT BUMPER. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL... THE UNDERCARRIAGE FELL DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE DRIVING. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT I HAVE BEEN CONTINUALLY GETTING AN ERROR THAT MY ENGINE REDUCED/ENGINE DISABLED AND IT SHUTS OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING ON THE STREET. I MAY GET A FEW SECONDS OF MOTION TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE IT STOPS COMPLETELY. IT'S HAPPENED WITH MY CHILD IN THE CAR AND THAT SCARES ME MORE TO THINK IT MAY HAPPEN AGAIN. IT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIME IN THE PAST 5 WEEKS. I'VE HAD A TUNE UP AND A NUMBER OF THINGS REPLACED IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS. MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND ONE OF THE SAME SENSORS ON THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED AGAIN.
SERVICE ESC LIGHT CAME ON AND DISABLED MY ENGINE TWICE! 1 TIME ON FEBRUARY 14,2019 WHICH I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY GOT THAT REPLACES IN MARCH. COME JUNE SAMETHING HAPPENED SERVICE ESC ENGINE DISABLED AND WE HAD TO BE TOWED OFF OF THE EXPRESSWAY IN JUNE OF 2019. AFTER TAKING THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC TO GET IT SERVICED FOR THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN I WAS TOLD THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE HAS A SHORTAGE IN IT AND FUSES IN MY FUSE BOX HAD MELTED TO THE FUSE BOX AND CAUSED A SHORTAGE ! THE CAR STOPPING ON THE EXPRESSWAY COULD HAVE KILLED ME AND MY MOM!!!
THIS IS NOW THE TENTH TIME ONE OF THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT. TONIGHT DRIVING THEY BOTH BURNED OUT. THIS IS AN ON GOING ISSUE AND IT COST CLOSE TO $200 TO FIX EACH TIME. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED
PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WENT OUT. IT WAS REPLACED AND WITHIN 2 WEEKS IT WENT OUT AGAIN. REPLACED IT FOR THE SECOND TIME, BUT LIGHT WOULD NOT COME ON AT ALL. WHEN INSTALLED THE BULB WAS NOT TOUCHED AND GREASE/LUBRICATE WAS PUT INSIDE THE PLUG IN.
EVERY YEAR HAD TO GET MY CONNECTOR REPLACED BECAUSE MY LIGHT BULB KEEPS GOING OUT. HAPPENING FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS.
I HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS LAST NOVEMBER OR SO AND DECIDED TO HAVE MY HEADLIGHT BULBS, BLINKERS, ETC ALL CHANGED SINCE THE BUMPER HAS TO COME OFF. I ALREADY HAD THE PASSENGER BULB OUT. TWO MONTHS AFTER THIS REPAIR WAS DONE THE SAME HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AGAIN. THIS WAS REPLACED AND LASTED FOR A FEW MORE MONTHS AND JUST WENT OUT AGAIN 07-21-19 FOR THE 3RD TIME IN 8 MONTHS. I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND THIS APPEARS TO BE A RECURRING PROBLEM FOR MANY MALIBU OWNERS OVER MANY MODEL YEARS.
I HAVE A 2011 CHEVY MALIBU AND I HAVE REPLACED MY PASSENGER LOW BEAM BULB TWICE WITHIN TWO WEEKS
DRIVERS SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT, REPLACED IT SEVERAL TIMES ONLY TO REALIZE IT'S NOT THE BULB ITSELF
81K MILES ON VEHICLE. DRIVING AT RESIDENTIAL SPEEDS (~ 30 MPH), VEHICLE STARTED SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTING, ENGINE REVVING, THEN REFUSING TO GET OUT OF 1ST GEAR. I WOULD HATE TO THINK WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ON A HIGHWAY OR CROWDED CITY STREET!
THE HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2011 CHEVY MALIBU HAVE GONE OUT ABOUT SIX TIMES. I HAVE REPLACED BULBS AND WIRING HARNESSES WHICH INVOLVES THE REMOVAL OF THE COMPLETE FRONT FASCIA OF THE VEHICLE. MY DAUGHTER DRIVES THIS VEHICLE AT COLLEGE AND HAS BEEN PULLED OVER NUMEROUS TIMES. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND A SAFETY HAZARD AT NIGHT.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING, DASH SAYS NO POWER STEERING AND ESC DISABLED, ENGINE STILL RUNS TYPICALLY WHEN DONG PARKING LOT MANEUVERS. SHUT OFF ENGINE, RESTART NO ISSUES. IT REPEATS WITH SAME RESULTS.
I WAS DRIVING IN THE CITY. STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, AND WHEN I ACCELERATED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO JERK, REV LOUDLY, AND SEEMED TO KICK INTO HIGH GEAR WHILE ONLY GOING ABOUT 20 MILES AN HOUR. I GOT TO A PLACE WHERE I COULD STOP, AND TRIED TO PUT THE CAR INTO REVERSE, BUT THIS GEAR DID NOT WORK. I HAD IT TOWED AND MY MECHANIC SAID THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED REBUILT. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP, AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD RECOMMEND A REPLACEMENT OF THE TRANSMISSION.
I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR, USED FROM A FLEET SALE. THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT AT JUST OVER 50K MILES. ALL FLEET MAINTENANCE HAD BEEN COMPLETED. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR ALL DAY, IT WAS RUNNING FINE, AND RAN INTO A STORE. WHEN I CAME BACK OUT AND WENT TO START THE MALIBU, IT FIRED UP, ALL OF THE LIGHTS CAME ON, BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN OVER. IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WASN'T GETTING GAS. YOU COULD HEAR IGNITION FIRING AND STARTER ENGAGING.
TAKATA RECALL. AS I WAS LEAVING WORK, MAKING A RIGHT TURN, MY STEERING WHEEL JERKED TO THE LEFT AND LOCKED. WHILE STILL DRIVING, I MANAGED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL JUST ENOUGH FOR ME TO PULL OUT OF THE ROAD AND INTO A PARKING LOT. WHEN I STOPPED THE CAR THERE WAS A MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD THAT DISPLAYED 'POWER STEERING'.
I RECENTLY OBTAINED MY 2011 MALIBU LT FROM SUPERIOR AUTO IN BEDFORD, IN. IT IS A TRULY OUTSTANDING MACHINE. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE ENTIRE ECOTEC 2.4 ENGINE AND FUEL ECONOMY. THE DRIVETRAIN IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT TOPIC. I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING THE NEW PUSH BUTTON SHIFT SETUP. IT WAS SMOOTH FOR THE FIRST 3 WEEKS OR SO. OH BY THE WAY IT BARELY TURNED 105,000 ON THE ODOMETER. IT STARTED WITH 3RD SHIFTING LATE AND HARD. THEN IT WAS REVERSE NOT CATCHING ONCE SHIFTER WAS ENGAGED, MAKING ME USE MY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. ALL OF A SUDDEN IT COMPLETELY STOPPED PULLING FORWARD OR REVERSE. INITIALLY I ASSUMED TRANSMISSION JUST BURNED OUT. WAITED UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING, TRYING AGAIN AND IT ENGAGED GEAR. IT WAS ULTIMATELY SHORT LIVED, ONCE TRANSMISSION WARMS IT STARTS TO FAIL COMPLETELY. I'M VERY DISGRUNTLED AND DISAPPOINTED IN THE CAR COMPANY I WAS RAISED ON. AS WELL AS MY FAMILY FOR GENERATIONS. NOT TO MENTION, THIS MY VERY FIRST CHEVY BUYING ON MY OWN. PLEASE RETURN MY CONCERNS PLEASE. I PURCHASED THE MALIBU FROM A LOCAL BUY HERE PAY HERE. THIS LEAVES ME ON A MOST AGGRAVATED NOTE, DUE TO ME BEING ABSOLUTELY HUSTLED INTO PAYING FOR A OPERATIONALESS MOTOR VEHICLE FROM WHAT I ONCE THOUGHT WAS 2ND TO NONE, CHEVROLET AND GM IN GENERAL. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL MOST DEFINITELY NEVER BUY THIS BRAND AGAIN, AS WELL AS MY FAMILY OF 80+ YEARS OF BUSINESS. GM, HAS LOWERED ITSELF TO AN ALL TIME LOW! PLEASE RETURN MY SUBMISSION ASAP. I NEED TRANSPORTATION FOR MY UNION CAREER I DRIVE A VERY LARGE AMOUNT FOR AS WELL. MINDS BLOWN BY THE UTTER LAZINESS OF THIS MASSIVE AUTO TITAN. DISGUSTED!!
MY HEADLIGHTS GO OUT EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS, I CHANGE THEM AND BEFORE I KNOW IT THEY ARE OUT AGAIN, THE PASSENGER SIDE IS THE WORST, LIKE IT HAS A SHORT OR SOMETHING NOT SURE, BUT I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 5 YRS AND CAN'T COUNT HOW MANY HEADLIGHT BULBS I HAVE PUT IN THE CAR. I HAVE FRIENDS WITH THE SAME CAR THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IT'S NOT A EASY JOB, THE WHOLE FRONT END HAS TO COME OFF JUST TO CHANGE THE HEADLIGHT BULB, RIDICULOUS! ALSO I CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE IT INTO A SHOP EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS TO GET THE HEADLIGHT CHANGED. THIS NEEDS TO BE CHECKED INTO!!
HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT. WITH IT COSTING MORE THAN $250 TO REPLACE THE LIGHTS BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FRONT BUMPER, THIS IS ANNOYING. I JUST PAID $330 TO HAVE ALL OF MY FRONT LIGHTS REPLACED. SIX WEEKS LATER, THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT IS OUT.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON LATELY. SO I TOOK IT TO A PLACE SO THEY COULD CHECK IT. THE RESULTS STATES THAT THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. MY LIGHTS ARE DIMMING, THE BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS SYMBOL COMES ON IF I AM SITTING UNDER A VIADUCT, THE RADIO IS DISAPPEARING ON THE DASHBOARD, AND MY HEATING SYSTEM IS ON WHEN IT'S OFF. THEN THE CAR IS JERKING ERRATICALLY WHEN I PROCEED TO DRIVE AFTER A STOP. MY VEHICLE IS UNDER 50,000 MILES. IT'S AT 48342 NOW. I NEED TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY RECALLS BECAUSE 3 YEARS AGO I,WAS UNDER 35000 MILES AND HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW ENGINE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER THE EMISSIONS ACT, AND I HAD TO PAY $800 FOR THAT, PLUS GETTING DISRESPECTED BY THE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYTHING COMES UP CONCERNING THIS MATTER. THANK YOU

I TRIED TO OPEN MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT OPEN RANDOMLY LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND APPARENTLY ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WERE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH NO WAY TO FIX BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT GET TO THE PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR STUCK SHUT, WITH NO SOLUTION SHOULD BE COVERED BY CHEVROLET IN A RECALL

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DICK GENTHE CHEVROLET (866-874-7380, LOCATED AT 15600 EUREKA RD, SOUTHGATE, MI 48195) AND THE CONTACT WAS ASKED IF SHE WANTED THE VEHICLE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V269000 (SEAT BELTS). THE CONTACT APPROVED THE RECALL REPAIRS. SIX DAYS LATER, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT READY AND SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO SEE OR RETRIEVE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS CALLED TWO HOURS LATER TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE MADE THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND IT NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO AIR BAG FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED A $250 DISCOUNT TOWARDS THE REPAIRS ("TAKE OR LEAVE IT"). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,865. ONLY 115K MILES AND TRANSMISSION IS OUT, THIS CAR GETS ALL SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE, REVERSE WON'T ENGAGE AND TRANSMISSION MAKES NOISES IN FORWARD. HELP PLEASE
MY 2011 CHEVROLET MALIBU HAS HAD 5 INCIDENCES OVER THE LAST YEAR OF LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS GOING OUT. NEVER BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. THIS IS NOT ONLY ANNOYING AND EXPENSIVE EACH TIME I BRING IT IN FOR REPAIRS. IT IS ALSO DANGEROUS. PARTICULARLY WHEN ONE OF THE HEADLIGHTS GOES OUT AT NIGHT TIME DRIVING ON DARK ROADS. ADDITIONALLY A HEADLIGHT OUT IS SUFFICIENT REASON FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT TO ISSUE A SUMMONS. I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS MAY 20TH 2019 VIA PHONE REGARDING THIS SAFETY ISSUE. RECEIVED A CASE NUMBER. I RECEIVED A CALL BACK 6 DAYS LATER. RESPONSE WAS THAT THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I DID INFORM GM THAT THERE ARE LITERALLY OVER 300 LISTINGS ON GOOGLE FOR PERSONS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. GM SHOWS NO INTEREST IN THIS EXPENSIVE REPAIR, IN A REPETITIVE PROBLEM, AND AN ILLEGAL SITUATION THAT CAN RESULT IN LAW ENFORCEMENT ISSUING A SUMMONS. APPARENTLY THERE ARE ISSUES WITH THE CONNECTORS AT THE BULBS NOT MAKING CONTACT. THE REPLACED CONNECTORS EXHIBIT OVERHEATING WHICH MAY INDICATE OVERLOAD OF POWER, OR CONNECTORS NOT MAKING CONTACT. THIS PROBLEM TOOK PLACE WITH ORIGINAL GM CONNECTORS INTERMITTENTLY - NEVER ON BOTH HEADLIGHTS AT ONCE. HERE IS A SIMILAR COMPLAINT TO NHTSA ID NUMBER 11204441 4/12/2017 COMPLAINANT STATES 5 REPAIRS AND STILL A PROBLEM WITH HEADLIGHT INTERMITTENTLY GOING OUT ON DRIVER SIDE. ADDITIONALLY THERE ARE SEVERAL HUNDRED SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON THE WEB REGARDING 2010 & 2011 MALIBU'S. BECAUSE THE FENDERS AND UNDER THE HOOD PLASTIC PANELS MUST BE PULLED TO GET AT THE HEADLIGHTS....THIS IS QUITE AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND IS REPETITIVE AND FREQUENT AS WELL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE TIM LALLY CHEVROLET DEALER (440-359-8781, 24999 MILES RD, WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH 44128) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS KEPT FOR OBSERVATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY LOW-BEAMS KEEP SHORTING OUT. SOMETIMES 1 IS OUT. SOMETIMES BOTH ARE OUT. SOMETIMES BOTH ARE ON. THERE IS NOTHING COMMON AS TO WHEN WHICH WILL BE THE CASE. A WEEK AGO, BOTH LIGHTS WERE OUT WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE AT NIGHT! DAYS LATER, 1 WAS WORKING. THIS MORNING, BOTH WORKED. THE SEAT BELTS ON THIS VEHICLE HAVE SOME ISSUES. I WAS INVOLVED IN A WRECK LATELY AND I WAS HURT REALLY BAD FROM THE SEAT BELT ON THE CHEVY . THE SEAT BELT DINTED INTO MY BODY CAUSING SOME REALLY BAD PAIN WHEN THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED.

WHEN IT RAIN THE TRACTION SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON, MY LIGHTS BULBS CONSTANTLY GO OUT, MY CIGARETTE LIGHT STARKED FIRE. WHEN TURNING A CURVE MY CAR HALTS OR STALL AND JERK. THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS GOING ON WITH THE CAR THAT I CAN EXPLAIN. WHEN IT RAIN MY CAR PULLS OR GOES OFF ROAD I HAVE TO DRIVE REALLY SLOW BECAUSE I AM AFRAID THAT I WILL LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE DO THE BRAKING SYSTEM ETC.
NOTHING HAPPENED SPECIFICALLY. MY LOW BEAMS (MAINLY PASSENGER SIDE) KEEPS GOING OUT. IT DOESN'T BURN OUT, IT JUST SIMPLY QUITS WORKING. EVERY NOW AND THEN I'LL HIT A BUMP AND IT WILL COME BACK ON, BUT THAT'S RARE. IT CAN BE SITTING OR IN DRIVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.

MY PASSENGER HEADLIGHT WENT OUT ON THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT. I REPLACED THE LIGHT AND IT WENT OUT THE NEXT DAY. I TOOK THE CAR TO GET SERVICED AND FOUND OUT THAT THE HEADLIGHT PIGTAIL WAS MELTED.I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM TO BE THE DRL RELAY SWITCH BECAUSE THERE ARE NUMEROUS CHEVROLET MODELS HAVING THIS PROBLEM.
I WENT TO START MY VEHICLE AND IMMEDIATELY GOT AN ESC/POWER STEERING ALERT. I HAD NO POWER STEERING AND NOT ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR.
