GM SENT OUT A LETTER TELLING ITS CUSTOMERS THAT IF YOU HAD A SILVERADO (MINE IS A 2003) THAT HAS SPEEDOMETER PROBLEMS IT COULD NBE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE IF IT HAS LESS THAN 70,000 MILE OR 7 YEARS. MY TRUCK STARTED HAVING SPEEDOMETER PROBLEMS WHEN IT HIT 81,000, SO EVEN THOUGH ITS 5 YEARS OLD I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT REPLACED? ITS NOT LIKE ITS A SPEEDOMETER CABLE, ITS THE WHOLE CLUSTER WHICH IS PRETTY EXPENSIVE. I THINK GM NEEDS TO MAKE GOOD ON THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. *TR
THE ENTIRE GAUGE CLUSTER GOES BLANK, NO READINGS. THIS AFFECTS THE SPEEDOMETER AS WELL AS ENGINE MONITORING GAUGES. I FEEL THAT THIS IS VERY MUCH A SAFETY ISSUE. BESIDES THE LOSS OF SPEED INFORMATION, WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO MONITOR THE ENGINE THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW IF FAILURE IS IMMANENT. ENGINE FAILURE ON THE HIGHWAY COULD EASILY LEAD TO LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER ON MY 2003 CHEVY 1500 STICKS AND DOES NOT MOVE BACK TOWARD ZERO AS I SLOW DOWN AT TIMES. IT SEEMS TO BE MORE COMMON WHEN I HAVE THE HEAT ON WHICH IS NECESSARY IN WISCONSIN FOR MOST OF THE YEAR. IT STARTED TO HAPPEN AT THE END OF LAST WINTER BUT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR IT AT THE TIME AND BY THE TIME THERE WAS A RECALL FOR VEHICLES W/ LESS THAN 70,000 MILES, MINE HAD TOO MANY MILES ON IT. NOW IT IS HAPPENING A LOT MORE FREQUENTLY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 HD. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER INCREASED TO 115 MPH AND REMAINED IN THAT POSITION. AS OF FEBRUARY 8, 2008, THE DEALER HAD NOT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 71,236.
2003 SILVERADO 1500 Z71 PICKUP REAR BRAKE PROBLEM AT 43,000 MILES. RUSTING BRAKE ROTORS CAUSE EXCESSIVE UNEVEN WEAR OF REAR BRAKE PADS. CONDITION LIMITED TO INSIDE SIDE OF REAR ROTORS. ONLY ONE-HALF INCH SURFACE OF ROTOR WAS SHINY AND REST OF ROTOR HAD SEVERE RUST THAT UNDER LOAD RESULTED IN PAD DAMAGE. COMPLAINED TO DEALER TWICE AFTER PURCHASE JULY '03, SPONGY, BRAKING AND SOMETIMES HARD TO STOP. THEY LOOKED AT IT SAID IT WAS NORMAL. ALMOST ALL MY DRIVING IS HIGHWAY, WITH MINIMAL BRAKING. AND THE FEW TIMES DRIVEN IN TOWN HAVE HAD SEVERAL NEAR COLLISIONS. *TR
2000 TO 2005 GM TRUCKS EXTRA CABS ROCKER PANELS RUSTING AWAY REAR BUMPER RUST AWAY AN BRAKE LINES RUSTING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE IT FAILS STATE INSPECTION AN THE DEALERS NO ABOUT IT HAVE CONTACTED A FEW DEALERS AN HAVE BEEN TOLD OFF THE RECORD THAT IT A DESIGN FAULT FROM GM. THEIR ARE MANY JUNK YARDS WHO DON'T HAVE BUMPERS FOR THESE TRUCKS BECAUSE OF THEM RUSTING AWAY HAVE CHECKED JUST TO MAKE SURE IT WASN'T JUST ME BUT ITS A PROBLEM WITH ALL THESE TRUCKSTHAT ARE EXTRA CABS. 90 PERCENT ARE THE 1500 PICKUPS BUT YOU DON'T SEE THIS PROBLEM WITH REGULAR CABS. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AS FOR I HAVE TALKED TO MANY BODY SHOPS AN THEY SEE THESE TRUCKS ALL THE TIME HERE IN MAINE. PLUS I HAVE GONE IN TO THE CHEVY DEALERS TO SEE ABOUT TRADING IN THE TRUCK AN THE FIRST THING THEY GO TO IS THE ROCKER PANELS AN BRAKE LINES AN BUMPER AN THEIR COMMENTS TYPICAL GM TRUCK THEY ALL DO IT. SEVERE SURGING/BUCKING OF VEHICLE WHEN TRAVELING DOWNHILL WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON.
WHEN DRIVING FRIDAY MORNING JAN. 18, 2008 THERE WAS A SMALL NOISE IN THE TRUCK. LATER AT NIGHT WHEN I PICKED UP MY WIFE I WENT TO BREAK AND HAD A DIFFICULT TIME AND THAN WHEN WE STARTING GOING AGAIN THE WHOLE HUB ASSEMBLY CAME RIGHT OFF OF OUR TRUCK MAKING THE TRUCK COLLAPSE DOWN ON THAT SIDE. *TR
INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF INSTRUMENT/GAUGES CLUSTER CAUSING UNKNOWN DRIVING SPEEDS AND UNABLE IDENTIFY POSSIBLE ENGINE PROBLEMS AND UN ABLE IDENTIFY FUEL LEVEL. INTERMITTENT FAILURE OCCURRED FOR TWO YEARS UNTIL TOTALLY FAILURE OCCURRED. *TR
MY 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO HAS A BRAKING ISSUE WHERE THE BRAKES FAIL TO WORK. THE GENERAL MOTORS CORP HAD A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE IDENTIFYING MODEL YEARS 1999-2002. I CALLED THE GENERAL MOTORS CORP FOR HELP WITH THE ISSUE. I WAS TOLD BY THEIR REPRESENTATIVE, I NEEDED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE EVALUATED BY A CHEVROLET DEALER, IF THE PROBLEM WERE FOUND, THEY WOULD REPAIR IT AT NO COST TO ME. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL DEALER, THEY FOUND AND DOCUMENTED THE ISSUE ON A SERVICE REPORT (I HAVE A COPY). WHEN I CALLED GENERAL MOTORS BACK, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, IT WAS MY PROBLEM TO FIX. I EXPLAINED NUMEROUS TIMES THAT THIS IS NOT A WEAR ITEM, THEY HAD A RECALL PREVIOUSLY, THEIR DEALER DOCUMENTED MY VEHICLE AS HAVING THE PROBLEM. STILL, TO NO AVAIL, I WAS TOLD IT IS MY PROBLEM AND THEY WON'T COVER IT BECAUSE IT WASN'T IDENTIFIED UNDER THE RECALL. THEREFORE, WHY WAS I TOLD TO BRING IT TO THE DEALER FOR NO REASON AND A COST TO ME OF $42, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY WHY ARE THEY NOT CONCERNED THAT MY VEHICLE HAS AN ISSUE WHERE THE BRAKES FAIL TO WORK. GENERAL MOTORS SERVICE BULLETIN # 05068B, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V379000. THE EVALUATION WAS PERFORMED BY KEIGAN CHEVROLET IN FRANKLIN MA, SERVICE REPORT INVOICE # 82978A. THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN 11/02 ALTHOUGH IT IS CALLED A 2003 MODEL. I ONLY SEEK TO HAVE THE BRAKING ISSUE REPAIRED. AS NOTED BY THE SERVICE REPORT, THE FRONT WHEEL HUBS NEED TO BE REPLACED. I ALSO HAVE A SECOND ISSUE FOLLOWING THE SAME CHAIN OF EVENTS, THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING COLUMN RATTLES. THERE WAS ALSO A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS ISSUE, ALSO FOUND TO BE A PROBLEM AT THE DEALER, ALSO DOCUMENTED ON THE SERVICE REPORT, TOLD SAME THING, MY PROBLEM. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO REPLACE THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING COLUMN AT THEIR COST. *TR
MY SPEEDOMETER ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL EITHER FAILS COMPLETELY, WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO, OR READS INACCURATELY, THEREBY CAUSING A SERIOUS SAFETY SITUATION WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON PUBLIC ROADWAYS; PUTTING ME AND THE OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHERE I DRIVE IN HARMS WAY SINCE I CAN'T TELL HOW FAST/SLOW I AM GOING! *TR
ON JANUARY 5, 2008 I ARRIVED HOME AT 11:30 PM AND PARKED MY TRUCK IN THE GARAGE ATTACHED TO MY HOUSE. I WENT TO BED AND AT AROUND 2:00 AM I SMELT SMOKE. I WALKED THROUGH THE HOUSE CHECKING ROOMS, WHEN I GOT TO THE SCREEN DOOR TO THE GARAGE THE HANDLE WAS HOT. I THEN WENT OUT MY FRONT DOOR AND CALLED 911. THE TRUCK WAS A LOSS AND PART OF MY GARAGE. IN LESS THEN 11 MONTHS THIS IS THE 2ND CHEVROLET/SILVERADO THAT I HAVE OWNED THAT HAS BURNT. *TR

I HAVE HAD SPEEDO PROBLEMS FOR OVER A 1 YEAR. NOW IT HAS BECOME REGULAR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. CHEVY TOLD ME TO GO AWAY BECAUSE I AM OVER MILEAGE REQUIREMENTS. I SEE I AM NOT ALONE. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF WACKY SPEEDOMETERS OUT THERE. THIS KIND OF SERVICE HAS CONVINCED ME THAT CHEVY DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS ANYMORE. THE JOKES WILL NO LONGER BE ABOUT FIX OR REPAIR DAILY (FORD). *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 HD. THE CONTACT STATED THE FUEL GAUGE INTERMITTENTLY DISPLAYED IMPROPER READINGS OF EMPTY AND FULL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THE SPEEDOMETER INTERMITTENTLY DISPLAYED IMPROPER SPEED READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 141,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES MALFUNCTION AND DISPLAY INACCURATE READINGS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE OIL SEMI-UNIT. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF OVER $500. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
LOW SPEED ACTIVATION OF ABS SYSTEM FOR NO REASON. THIS HAS CAUSED A COUPLE PARKED CAR INCIDENTS AND A COUPLE OF PARKING LOT STOP STRIP INCIDENTS. I AM TOLD BY A VERY GOOD DEALERSHIP IN DRYDEN NY THAT THIS IS THE SAME ABS SYSTEM THAT IS RECALLED ON 1999 - 2002 MODEL YEAR SILVERADO'S FOR THE VERY SAME ISSUE. WILL IT TAKE A DEATH FOR GM TO STEP UP TO THEIR PROBLEM? THE ENTERED DATE ONLY REFLECTS TODAY, THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER INCIDENTS. *TR
THE DISPLAYED SPEEDOMETER SPEED IS LESS THEN ACTUAL. INITIALLY THE DISPLAYED SPEED WAS ONLY OFF BY 10 TO 15 MILES RESULTING IN DRIVING IN EXCESS OF THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT AND APPROACHING VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME TOO QUICKLY BEFORE I REALIZED THAT THE DISPLAYED SPEED WAS INCORRECT. THE PROBLEM HAS ADVANCED AND NOW THE SPEEDOMETER USUALLY DISPLAYS A SPEED OF 10 MILES OR LESS NO MATTER WHAT THE ACTUAL SPEED IS. DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND HAS QUOTED A REPAIR PRICE IN EXCESS OF $400. DEALERSHIP ALSO INDICATED THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THAT THERE IS A TECHNICAL BULLETIN ABOUT THIS ISSUE. PART HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED YET.*CN
BLOWER HEATER MOTOR STUCK ON HIGH DRAINS BATTERY. MY BROTHER IN LAW STEVE STARR AND I BOTH BOUGHT SAME MODEL OF TRUCKS 2003 CHEVY SILVERADO AT THE SAME TIME AND BOTH VEHICLES FAILED WITH IN TWO WEEKS OF EACH OTHER.*CN

I HAVE A 2003 TAHOE AND HAVE HAD THE SPEEDOMETER STICK A NUMBER OF TIMES. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR REPAIR SEVERAL TIMES HOWEVER THE SERVICE TECH COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE CONDITION SO THEY TOLD ME NOT TO REPAIR THE ISSUE BECAUSE OF THE COST. GM IS NOW OFFERING A "SPECIAL COVERAGE" THAT EXTENDS THE WARRANTY OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, HOWEVER ONLY IF THE TAHOE HAS LESS THAN 70,000 MILES OR YOU HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE UNDER 7 YEARS WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST. I FEEL THAT GM HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND SHOULD ISSUE A FULL RECALL TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. *TR

2003 CHEVY 2500 HD TRUCK: INJECTOR FAILED AND CAUSED ENGINE FAILURE; GM IS DECLINING THE WARRANTY ALTHOUGH IT IS UNDER THE WARRANTY. *TR
I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN NOVEMBER IN 2007, I HAD THE TRUCK APPROXIMATELY A MONTH AND THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED BOUNCING AROUND AND IN ABOUT A WEEK LATER IT STUCK AT 117 MPH AND HAS NOT MOVED SINCE. THEN AT ABOUT 110,000 MILES THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD GO OUT, ALL THE GAUGES AND THE ODOMETER, THE SIGNAL LIGHTS AND THE BACK LIGHTING STILL WORKS, BUT NOTHING ELSE THE FUEL GAUGE, OIL GAUGE, TRANSMISSION TEMP GAUGE, TACHOMETER NONE OF THESE WILL WORK NOW. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW HOW IT IS THAT THIS IS A HUGE OVER ALL PROBLEM OF THE VEHICLES IN THE CERTAIN YEAR, AND MODEL. BUT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE LESS THAN 70,000 MILES THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT STAND UP TO THE MISTAKE AND FIX IT, I UNDERSTAND THAT I BOUGHT IT USED BUT ITS AND ON GOING PROBLEM IN THE CLUSTER FOR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES, I THINK IT SHOULD BE HANDLED BY GMC. I HAVE OWNED 8 GMC VEHICLES AND USE TO THINK I WOULD NOT BY ANYTHING ELSE, BUT MY MIND IS ABOUT TO CHANGE OVER THIS ISSUE. BECAUSE OF THE ATTITUDE I HAVE GOTTEN FROM THE DEALERSHIPS AND EMPLOYEES ABOUT THE ISSUE. *TR
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 50 MPH AND THE SPARE TIRE AND SUPPORT BRACKET CAME OFF THE TRUCK AND LANDED IN THE HIGHWAY. IT APPEARS THAT THE THE 1 BOLT THAT ATTACHES THE BRACKET AND TIRE TO THE TRUCK HAD BACKED OFF CAUSING THE TIRE TO FALL TO THE GROUND. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS WARNING LIGHT AND SERVICE BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE. AS OF DECEMBER 7, 2007, THE DEALER HAD NOT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 6,500. ALL GAUGES STOPPED WORKING ON MY 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO. *TR
2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO BRAKE PROBLEM. CONTACT STATES BRAKES PULSATED IN REAR ROTORS. BRAKE WERE HEAVILY CORRODED AND DEALER REPLACED REAR ROTORS. *BF THE DEALER TOLD THE CONSUMER THAT SINCE THE USE OF ASBESTOS BRAKES HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED, BRAKE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE HAD BEEN REDUCED. THE DEALER WENT ON TO EXPLAIN THAT THE PAD MATERIAL FORMS DEPOSITS ON THE ROTORS CAUSING THE SURFACE TO BECOME LESS SMOOTH AND EVENTUALLY GIVING A PULSATING SENSATION LEADING TO POOR BRAKING PERFORMANCE. ON JULY 20, 2007 THE CONSUMER BEGAN EXPERIENCING THE PULSATING ISSUE AGAIN, ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE BRAKE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO NON-USE, HOWEVER THE CONSUMER DISAGREED WITH THEIR FINDINGS, STATING THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. THE CONSUMER TOOK POSSESSION OF THE OLD ROTORS AND SOON DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR ROTORS WERE WORN TWICE AS HARD AS THE FRONT ROTORS THAT WERE ORIGINAL FOR THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE REAR BRAKES WERE PRODUCING THE MAJORITY OF STOPPING POWER ON THE VEHICLE. THE LEFT REAR DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. THE DEALER ORDERED A NEW LATCH *JB
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CHEVROLET STATING "THIS LETTER IS INTENDED TO MAKE YOU AWARE THAT YOUR VEHICLE COULD DEVELOP A CONDITION WHERE ONE OR MORE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGE NEEDLES MAY STICK, FLUTTER, OR BECOME INOPERATIVE. THIS MAY CAUSE INACCURATE READINGS, INCLUDING THE SPEEDOMETER AND THE FUEL GAUGE" THE LETTER CONTINUES TO STATE THAT "GENERAL MOTORS IS PROVIDING SPECIAL COVERAGE THAT EXTENDS THE WARRANTY" IF "YOUR 2003 CHEVROLET MODEL YEAR CHEVROLET TAHOE WITHIN 7 YEARS OF THE DATE" OR "70,000 MILES". MY CHEVROLET TAHOE HAS BOTH THESE ISSUES. THEY STARTED ABOUT TWO WEEKS BEFORE I RECEIVED THE LETTER. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND AND WOULD LIKE A RESPONSE FROM GENERAL MOTORS IS WHY MY SAFETY IS NOT AN CONCERN TO THEM BECAUSE I HAVE DRIVEN MORE THAN 70,000 MILES IN MY TAHOE? I TRAVEL THROUGH A LOT OF RURAL AREAS TO WORK AND I FEEL IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOT RUN OUT OF GAS. I FEEL IT EQUALLY IMPORTANT TO KNOW HOW FAST I AM GOING. THE SPEEDOMETER REGISTERS THAT I AM GOING 60 OR 70 MILES PER HOUR WHEN I AM SITTING AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN I AM GOING DOWN THE ROAD IT REGISTERS THAT I AM GOING OVER 120 MILES PER HOUR. THIS IS ANOTHER SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW FAST I AM GOING. NOT TO MENTION THE POTENTIAL FOR SPEEDING TICKETS. I WOULD LIKE TO THINK THAT GENERAL MOTORS CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS SAFETY REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY MILES THEY HAVE DRIVEN. THESE GAUGES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE REPLACED AND THEY ARE A SAFETY HAZARD. IN MY 2003 CHEVY SILVERADO EX CAB Z71 LS MY SPEEDOMETER DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY WHEN COLD. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN I FIRST ENTER THE VEHICLE AND THE TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE CAB EQUALS THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE THE CAB WHICH IS EQUAL TO 40 DEGREES OR LESS, MY SPEEDOMETER STAYS AT ZERO UNTIL THE CAB WARMS UP. ONCE THE CAB WARMS UP AND I COME TO A STOP AND THEN CONTINUE MOVING, THE SPEEDOMETER READS PROPERLY. I HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE OF THIS. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE SHOULD BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE AND THERE HAD BEEN NO FURTHER OCCURRENCES. SPEEDOMETER WAS FLUTTERING AND STICKING SINCE PURCHASE OF THIS VEHICLE, PARTICULARLY IN COLD WEATHER. TYPICALLY, AFTER IT WARMED UP, THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD BECOME SOMEWHAT FUNCTIONAL AGAIN. THROUGH DISCUSSIONS WITH GM DEALERSHIP, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT A SERVICE BULLETIN AND LETTERS OF NOTIFICATION HAVE BEEN SENT OUT TO WARN OWNERS OF THIS PROBLEM. THIS WEB SITE SHOWS COMPLAINTS OF THIS PROBLEM DATING BACK TO DEC OF 2005. A 70,000 MILE LIMIT HAS BEEN SET FOR GM TO COVER REPAIRS. MY SPEEDOMETER FINALLY BECAME TOTALLY INOPERABLE AT 105,000 MILES, AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. A MONTH LATER, I SEE THIS NOTICE. HOW CAN GM SET A MILEAGE LIMIT ON SAFETY? THIS SHOULD BE A TOTAL RECALL! AT $500. TO FIX, MOST OPERATORS ARE OBVIOUSLY LIKE ME. YOU FIX THE THINGS ON YOUR VEHICLE AS YOU CAN AFFORD TO OR IF IT MAKES THE VEHICLE TOTALLY INOPERABLE. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL NOT TURN OFF AT TIMES, CAUSING ME TO PULL OVER AND REMOVE THE FUSE FOR W/S WIPERS. I PURCHASED A 2003 CHEVROLET TAHOE LT AND THE BACK GLASS HINGE HAS CAME UNGLUED FROM THE GLASS AND FALLEN ON ONE SIDE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY FOUR GLASS COMPANY'S THAT THEY HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MANY OF 2003 TAHOES AND SURBURBANS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE BACK GLASS AND THAT IT IS A DEFECT. I CALLED THE CHEVROLET COMPANY AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE IT WAS OVER 100,000 MILES BUT ITS THERE PROBLEM THEY ARE THE ONES THAT GLUED THE HINGES TO THE GLASS AND WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY 900.00 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE GLASS ESPECIALLY WHEN I DON'T HAVE IT. HAZARD FLASHER RELAY/SWITCH "SOUNDS OFF" AFTER THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IS RETURNED TO THE REST POSITION AFTER SIGNALING A RIGHT OR LEFT HAND TURN, THIS CLICKING SOUND ALSO HAPPENS WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL IS ADJUSTED AND WHILE I AM DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ALL BY IT'S SELF. THE HAZARD AND TURN SIGNALS DO NOT LIGHT, ONLY THE AGGRAVATING CLICKING SOUND CAN BE HEARD. I CAN ALSO MAKE THE HAZARD/SIGNAL RELAY/SWITCH CLICK BY WIGGLING THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR SWITCH. I HAD THE HAZARD SWITCH REPLACED AT THE DEALER BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. I HAVE THE HAZARD/FLASHER RELAY/SWITCH AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION. *TR
