TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE TIRE AND WHEEL HAD BECOME DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,502.
MY DASH HAS A COUPLE CRACKS IN IT.
TIRE CAPITOL 245/70/17 PRECISION TRAC II, DOT 11/13: I WAS DRIVING ON THE DURATE ROAD NEAR INTERSECTION SANTA ANITA IN ARCADIA,CA ABOUT 35 MILES PER HOUR, I HEARD A LOUD NOISE SIMILAR TO A COMPRESSOR HOSE WITHIN 5 MINS, ALL THE AIR IN MY REAR TIRE ARE GONE, LUCKILY I WAS NEAR THE ARCADIA TIRE SHOP (1/2 MILE ),THEY INSPECTED THE TIRE, THEY TOLD ME THERE IS A FAILURE IN THE SIDE WALL REAR TIRE . RECOMMENDED THAT I SHOULD NOT USE THESE TIRE ANY MORE, IT IS NOT SAFE. THESE TIRE LOOKS BRAND NEW, ESTIMATED 5000 MILES OF USAGE. I AM REPLACING ALL 4 NEW TIRES AT COSCO, I AM AFRAID TO USE THESE TIRE AGAIN. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A LARGE CRACK THAT EXTENDED FROM THE DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG HOUSING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE DEFECT WAS COMMON BASED ON THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
DRIVING DOWN ROAD WHEN REDUCE ENGINE POWER COMES ON AND SHUTS DOWN THE POWER AND I CAN NOT DRIVE OVER 15MPH ON A BUSY HIGHWAY..... *TR
WAS DRIVING MY 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN THE DOOR LOCKS STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING, ALL WARNING LIGHTS WERE FLASHING, SPEEDOMETER WOULD READ THEN DROP OUT THE READ AGAIN. ENGINE TEMPORARILY WAS SHUTTING OFF THEN COMING BACK ON. TRIED TO ACCELERATE TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD AND FELT LIKE TRANSMISSION WAS AFFECTED BUT MAY HAVE BEEN BECAUSE THE WAS THE ENGINE WAS SHUTTING OFF AND ON. GOT HOME SHUT KEY OFF AND LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER AND COULD NOT RESTART. I WAS A GM TECH SO WENT INTO GARAGE FOR A BATTERY TESTER HOOKED IT UP AND BATTERY LOAD TESTED GOOD SHUT HOOD WENT TO GO BACK INSIDE TRUCK AND POWER CAME BACK ON AND STARTED RIGHT UP. HAS HAPPENED TWICE SINCE THEN. ASKED OTHER GM TECHS STILL WORKING AT DEALERS AND SAID THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF PROBLEMS LIKE THIS HAPPENING. *TR
3-4 RUST AREAS. 2-3 ROOF ABOVE WIND SHIELD. MAJOR BEING DRIVER SIDE NEXT TOO BRAKE LITE ON ROOF. RUST AREA IS APPROX. SIZE OF SILVER DOLLAR THRU ROOF. I HAVE FILLED THIS AREA WITH BONDO AND REPAINTED. SIMILAR SITUATION OCCURRED TO FRIEND. SITUATION COST HIM APPROX. $3K TO FIX ELECTRICAL PROBLEM RESULTING FROM THIS AS STATED BY CHEV DEALER DARE CTY.
THE PAINT AND CLEAR COAT ON THE TOP AND HOOD ARE FADING.
DASH CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES INCLUDING NEAR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. IF THIS WERE TO HAVE A NEED TO EJECT, IT MAY CARRY PIECES OF THE DASH INTO THE PASSENGERS FACE.
HAVE 3 CRACKS IN DASHBOARD. 2 ABOVE DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, AND 1 ON PASSENGER SIDE NEXT TO PASSENGER AIRBAG. HAD PIECE OF DASH BREAK OFF AND FALL INSIDE DASHBOARD ASSEMBLY. GM ONLY WANTS TO COMPENSATE UP TO 20% TO HAVE THIS REPLACED. I BELIEVE THAT GM SHOULD BE REPLACING THESE AT THEIR COST DUE TO THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS OF THIS HAPPENING. FEEL THAT THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE IF I WERE TO GET INTO A WRECK, AND PIECES OF THE DASHBOARD BREAK OFF. *JS
A LEAF SPRING ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE BROKE. NOTICED LEAF SPRING RATTLING WHEN PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT. A FEW MONTHS LATER THE SAME LEAF SPRING BROKE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.
BUNDLED WIRING UNDER DASH STARTED SMOLDERING WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY, HAD BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT 48 HOURS. I PULLED MUCH OF THE DASH APART TO MAKE SURE THERE WASN'T AN ACTIVE FIRE. WHILE BEING REPAIRED AT LOCAL CHEVY DEALER. WIRING ACTUALLY CAUGHT FIRE BURNING THE REPAIR TECHS HANDS. WHEN I ASKED WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS, THEY JUST TOLD ME THAT SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHY. *TR

UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE FRACTURED AND MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE MESSAGES DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO BUCKLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURES RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

WHILE DRIVING TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE THE SERVICE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD NO BRAKES ON THE REAR WHEELS. UPON INSPECTION OF THE FLUID RESERVOIR, I FOUND IT TO BE EMPTY. AFTER CAREFULLY GETTING IT HOME I FOUND THE BRAKE LINE TO THE REAR BRAKES TO BE RUSTED THROUGH. ON FURTHER INSPECTION, ALL OF THE LINES UNDER THE TRUCK ARE VERY BADLY RUSTED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE CONTACT STRUCK A DEER AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE BODY DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V383000 (AIR BAGS). NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY CRACKED AND GASOLINE WAS LEAKING ONTO THE FUEL TANK, SKID PLATE, AND THEN DRIPPING ONTO THE GROUND. *TR
TL - THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT RECEIVED REAR BRAKE RECALL NUMBER 14459 FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE DEALER; HOWEVER, THEY FAILED TO PROPERLY INSTALL THE CABLE ONTO THE REAR BRAKES AND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH. THE CONTACT WAS ONLY ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE BY APPLYING EXCESSIVE AND CONTINUOUS FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED ABOUT THE CABLE; HOWEVER, THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO THE CONTACTS REQUEST. AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED THE FRONT BRAKE WARNING CLIP MADE A GRINDING AND SQUEALING SOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,184. RK
OUR 2007 CHEVY SUBURBAN WAS PARKED IN OUT DRIVE WAY, AFTER A SEVERE HAIL STORM IN KILLEEN, TX WE TOOK THE CAR TO GET THE HAIL DAMAGED REPAIRED, UPON COMPLETION OF THE REPAIRS THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. SIMULTANEOUSLY, ON THE NEWS THERE WERE REPORTS OF AIR BAGS MALFUNCTIONING ON GM VEHICLES. WE ARE A FAMILY WITH TEENAGERS AND I AM AFRAID THIS AIR BAG IS A EXTREME CONCERN. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN ANY COLLISIONS OR ACCIDENTS THAT REQUIRED ANY MAJOR MECHANICAL REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF WITHOUT FAIL. I HAVE A STRONG FEELING THE AIR BAG ISSUE IS A MANUFACTURE MALFUNCTION. *TR
REAR BRAKE LINE THAT RUNS ALONG FRAME BADLY RUSTED AND DEVELOPED LEAK THAT RESULTED IN LOSS OF REAR WHEEL BRAKING. *TR

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE REAREND IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING BUMPS YOU FROM THE REAR. I CHECKED THE DRIVE SHAFT,U JOINTS I JUST THINK ITS IN THE REAREND HAVE NOT TAKEN IT TO A MECH. YET HE WILL TELL ME THE SAME THING. *TR

THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT DURING THE CRASH THE FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE DRIVER SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE RIGHT KNEE, WHILE THE FRONT PASSENGER SUFFERED INJURIES TO BOTH KNEES AND HEAD. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN THREE AREAS AT PASSENGERS AIRBAG LOCATION AND OVER RADIO AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. EVIDENTLY THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. I HAVE TWO TRUCKS IN THIS CONDITION AND THE INTERNET SUGGESTS THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS ACROSS THE NATION. ESTIMATE TO REPAIR 1000.00 EACH!

NOTICED THAT MY BRAKES WAS GETTING A LITTLE SPONGY EARLIER THAT DAY. WENT TO A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, STARTED BACK OUT OF PARKING LOT WHEN THE BRAKES WENT TO THE FLOOR, TRUCK DID NOT STOP, THANK GOODNESS PARKING LOT WAS EMPTY, HAD TO USE PARKING BRAKE TO STOP, LOOKED UNDER TRUCK BRAKE FLUID UNDER TRUCK, LINE WAS PITTED AND RUSTED, 1800 DOLLARS LATER BRAKES ARE STILL SPONGY. *TR

I BEGAN HEARING A GRINDING SOUND IN THE FRONT END. UPON REMOVING THE TIRES AND REAR BRAKE DRUMS I NOTICED THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE PADS AND THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE SHOES SHOWED EXCESSIVE WEAR. I KNOW THAT COMBINATION DISK/DRUM BRAKES USE A PROPORTIONING VALVE TO ADJUST HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. I ALSO KNOW THAT NEWER SYSTEMS ARE DUAL CIRCUIT WITH ONE FRONT AND ONE REAR WHEEL ON EACH CIRCUIT. I FEEL MY PROPORTIONING VALVE IS EITHER MISADJUSTED OR MALFUNCTIONING APPLYING GREATER PRESSURE TO ONE CIRCUIT OVER THE OTHER. THIS COULD CAUSE SWERVING OR A SPIN OUT UNDER HEAVY BRAKING SITUATIONS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATE 70 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL FELL OFF. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SAFELY MERGE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL BEARING AND ROTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
I WAS TAKING MY DAUGHTER TO THE STORE WHEN I TRIED TO HIT MY BRAKES THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FIRE WALL. WE WERE ABLE TO STOP USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. I TOOK IT TO A GARAGE AND WAS TOLD ALL OF MY LINES WERE CORRODED THROUGH AND THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS BAD TO. I LEFT IT THERE TO BE REPAIRED WITH THE FINAL COST OF APPROX. 675.00$ . IS GM OFFERING ANY ASSISTANCE FOR THIS PREMATURE BRAKE LINE FAILURE?? OR DO THIRTEEN PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE FIRST?? *TR
WHILE DRIVING ALONG ROADWAY AND APPROACHING INTERSECTION I APPLIED THE BRAKES NORMALLY TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP MY TRUCK. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE TRUCK DID STOP AND I SAW FLUID UNDER THE TRUCK. I DROVE CAREFULLY TO THE SERVICE STATION AND HAD THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM INSPECTED. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED ALL THE BRAKE LINES WERE SEVERELY RUSTED AND WOULD NEED REPLACEMENT. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED AT THE COST OF $2,300.00 TO ME. *TR
I NOTICED WHEN I GOT INTO MY VEHICLE THAT THERE WAS A CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH, RIGHT ABOVE THE AIRBAG. THIS CAN'T BE SAFE! IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY, THEN WHAT IS TO STOP THE REST OF THE DASH TO EXPLODE APART LIKE SHRAPNEL CAUSING INJURY TO SOME IN THE VEHICLE. I AM AFRAID FOR MY PASSENGERS SAFETY! ABOUT A WEEK LATER FOUND ANOTHER CRACK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE DASH. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEMS! ALSO, THEIR PICTURES POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA SHOW THE CRACKS ARE IN THE SAME LOCATIONS AS THAT OF MY DASH. I HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT THIS PROBLEM IS DUE TO POOR DESIGN AND CHEAP CONSTRUCTED PARTS. GM SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND RECTIFY THESE ISSUES BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED OR EVEN WORSE. WHEN I AM APPLYING THE BRAKES, AT ABOUT 10 MPH, THE ABS KICKS ON AND KEEPS THE TRUCK FROM STOPPING. THE DRIVING CONDITIONS HAVEN'T MATTERED. THE ROADS ARE DRY AND THERE IS NO INDICATION ON THE DASH THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM. IT IS HAPPENING PRETTY CONSISTENTLY AT SLOW SPEEDS.IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS SPEED SENSOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. *TR
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE TWO DOOR LOCKS ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR SINCE PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE LOST FUNCTION OF THE AIR CONTROL UNIT AND THEN RESET MONTHS LATER. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN ONCE TO PROGRAM THE COMPUTER AND AIR CONTROL UNIT, WHICH HAS GONE OUT TWICE AND THEN RETURNED BACK TO THE CORRECT FUNCTIONAL AIR SETTING MONTHS LATER AFTER SUPPOSEDLY PROGRAMED WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. JUST RECENTLY IT HAS STARTED TO GIVE ME A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WHICH STATES THE IGNITION SWITCH IS HAVING THE WRONG KEY, AND THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN GIVING ME OTHER WARNINGS WITH TRACTION CONTROL, CHECK GAS CAP, AND THE RADIO TIME CLOCK RESETS ITSELF. I HAD TO REPLACE A BATTERY IN THIS VEHICLE IN IT'S 3RD YEAR. IS THIS VEHICLE IN TROUBLE AS ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS GENERAL MOTORS HAVE HAD??? *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ON HOLSEY ROAD APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION OF HOLSEY ROAD AND RIDGE ROAD. THE BRAKES SUDDENLY FAILED WHEN DEPRESSED TO STOP THE VEHICLE, AND THE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR WITH NO BRAKE CONTROL. THE BRAKES HAD BEEN WORKING PERFECTLY BEFORE THE INCIDENT, AND THERE WAS NO WARNING OF AN IMPENDING FAILURE. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, WHO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

DEFECTIVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS. THE BOLT HEADS ARE BREAKING OFF OF MY 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO CREW CAB TRUCK. THIS IS A WELL MAINTAINED LIGHTLY USED TRUCK I USE FOR WORK. AFTER DISCOVERING THE PROBLEM, I WENT TO THE INTERNET TO SEARCH SOLUTIONS ON THIS PROBLEM AND THAT'S HOW I FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A VERY BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS TRUCK ENGINE. THERE IS NO TSB ON THIS OR A RECALL, BUT THERE SHOULD BE, ENGINES AFFECTED ARE ALL V-8'S FROM 4.8L, 5.3L, AND 6.0L. VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR THAT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE. *JS
DASH BOARD IS CRACKING AND BRITTLE. VERY SHARP EDGES ON THE PLASTIC COULD BECOME A HAZARD DURING A WRECK. CONTACTED GM AND SINCE THE VEHICLE ISN'T UNDER WARRANTY, THERE ISN'T ANYTHING THEY COULD DO. TAKATA RECALL: VEHICLE IS UNDER RECALL, BUT GM SAYS IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE. THEN WHY IS IT UNDER A RECALL?
I HAVE A 2007 SILVERADO WHICH HAD THE AIRBAG WHICH HAS BEEN RECALLED. GM HAS NEVER CONTACTED ME AS TO WHEN I CAN GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED!
LIKE MANY OTHER GM TRUCKS, THE STEEL BRAKE LINE RUSTED AND FAILED. I WAS BACKING BY BOAT ON TO THE RAMP WHEN THE BRAKES FAILED. THE WEIGHT OF THE BOAT AND THE STEEPNESS OF THE RAMP PULLED BY TRUCK IN TO THE BAY. THANK GOD MY FAMILY WAS OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE NHTSA MUST MANDATE THAT GM FIX ALL SEVERELY CORRODED BRAKE LINES AT EITHER A REDUCED OR NO-CHARGE FEE TO OWNERS. I AM BEING TOLD THAT A LARGE PORTION OF THE $1,200 LABOR FEE WILL BE FOR BENDING OF REPLACEMENT LINES. AT A MINIMUM, GM SHOULD BEAR THE COST OF THE LABOR INVOLVED IN BENDING OF THE LINES AS THEY REFUSE TO PROVIDE PERFORMED LINES TO THEIR DEALERS. IF THE GOVERNMENT (WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT THE CITIZENS) REALLY CARES ABOUT SAFE VEHICLES - AND WE SEE SOME OF THE 'THINGS BEING RECALLED NOWADAYS" - WHY ON EARTH ISN'T GM BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR RECALLING GM TRUCKS WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY EXAMPLES OF BRAKE LINE FAILURES!
WHILE MY FAMILY AND I WERE TOWING OUR CAMPER TO START OUR VACATION, WE WERE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY. TRAFFIC HAD STARTED TO STOP SO I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THANKS TO QUICK THINKING I PUT ON THE TRAILER BRAKES TO GET US TO STOP IN TIME! ON IMPACT TO FRONT END OF MY VEHICLE THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE AIR BAGS ON THE OTHER VEHICLE DID DEPLOY. HOW CAN I BE SURE MY AIRBAGS ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THERE IS ABOUT $9,000 DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE. I AM SENDINGAGAIN BECAUSE I AM NOT CERTAIN THE FIRST ONE WENT THROUGH. *TR
MY TRUCK IS EXPERIENCING A MUSHY BRAKE PEDAL ISSUE. WHEN I FIRST APPLY THE BRAKES THE VEHICLES RESPONDS NORMALLY. AS I CONTINUE CONSISTENT PRESSURE THE PEDAL LOSES RESISTANCE AND BEGINS TO FADE. AT SLOW SPEEDS ON LEFT HAND TURNS THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES ATTEMPT TO ENGAGE. YOU HEAR A NOISE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS BUT DO NOT FEEL ANY VIBRATIONS IN THE PEDAL. I HAVE INSPECTED THE BRAKE LINES AND FOUND NO OBVIOUS FAILURES. I HAVE BLED THE BRAKES. THE FLUID IS AT NORMAL LEVELS. THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. *TR
NOTICED THAT CRUISE CONTROL DID NOT WORK WHILE DRIVING. TOOK VEHICLE TO AUTO SHOP TO HAVE PROBLEM FIXED, WAS TOLD BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON EVEN WHEN BRAKES WERE NOT BEING APPLIED (DID NOT REMAIN ON WHEN IGNITION WAS OFF), HAD THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH REPLACED AND PROBLEM WAS FIXED. A FEW MONTHS LATER, A FELLOW DRIVE TOLD ME THAT MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE STAYING ON WHILE DRIVING AND THEN I NOTICED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT WORKING AGAIN. TOOK BACK TO AUTO SHOP, WAS TOLD THAT THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WAS OK. TOOK VEHICLE TO GM DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND NOTICED THAT GM HAD A RECALL IN MAY 2014 FOR PASSENGER CARS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
