DASH IS CRACK IN SEVERAL PLACES. SHARP PIECES COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY.
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG HAS WARNING LIGHT THAT BAG IS NOT WORKING. LIGHT SUDDENLY CAME ON. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE IN 2016 STATING I WOULD HERE FROM THEM BUT NO FURTHER CORRESPONDENCE HAS OCCURRED.
THIS RELATES TO THE VEHICLE RECALLS RELATED TO THE IGNITION SWITCH THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES DRIVING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT MY VEHICLE WOULD STOP RUNNING COMPLETELY BEFORE I KNEW UNFORTUNATELY THIS WAS ALWAYS AT SPEED SLOWER THAN5 MILES PER HOUR I DID NOT EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE AT TRAVELING SPEEDS HOWEVER WAS VERY ENCOURAGED TO REMOVE THE VEHICLE FROM MY OWNERSHIP DUE TO THIS ISSUE I HAD REPORTED THE ISSUE TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS ANOTHER AUTO MECHANIC NEITHER OF WHICH WERE ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO 4.3 L V6 ENGINE. THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM WENT CRAZY, FIRST SAYING COOLANT TEMPERATURE TOO LOW FOR ENGINE,REPLACED THERMOSTAT THAT WENT BAD,GOT STUCK OPEN. LIGHT GOES OUT. NEXT DAY LIGHT BACK ON SAYS EVAP SOLENOID VENT HAS GROSS LEAK. THERE R NO REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS FAILURE COME 2 FIND OUT AFTER TALKING TO DEALER. U HAVE TO BUY WHOLE NEW SOLENOID VENT SYSTEM AND ADD 5/8 HEATER HOSE TO RERUN THE VENT SO DIRT,DUST AND DEBRIS IS HARDER TO ENTER THE VENT. THEY SAY ITS A FLAW IN DESIGN SO GM REDESIGNED IT AND THIS IS HOW TO FIX IT. IF THEY KNOW ITS A BAD DESIGN THEN THEY SHOULD PAY FOR IT TO BE REPLACED WITH THEIR NEW DESIGN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED WHO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR WOULD OFTEN BECOME DIRTY AND CAUSE THE WARNING LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE REPLACED THE SENSOR HIMSELF. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND A CLAIM WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
ABS DOES NOT WORK, LIGHT IS ON THE DASH. AIRBAG LIGHTS ARE ON THE DASH AND NOT SURE IF THEY ARE WORKING, TAILGATE DOES NOT LATCH CLOSED. KEY DOES NOT ALWAYS WANT TO TURN AND WE NEED TO MOVE IT BACK AND FORTH BEFORE IT WILL START THE VEHICLE. *TR
VEHICLE HAS DUAL AIR CONDITION (A/C) CONTROLS. THE DRIVER SIDE STARTS BLOWING HOT (HEATER HOT) AIR ALL OF A SUDDEN. THE PASSENGER SIDE IS OKAY, STAYS COLD. EVEN WHEN THE A/C IS TURNED OFF IT STILL BLOWS HOT AIR. EVEN WITH THE WINDOWS OPEN, IT IS STILL HOT AIR COMING OUT OF THE VENTS; LIKE AS IF THE HEATER IS ON. CLOSE THE VENTS BUT STILL BLOWS HOT. HAVE TO STOP A FEW MINUTES AND SOMETHING MUST RESET BECAUSE IT WORKS OKAY FOR A WHILE. SOMETIMES HAVE TO STOP SEVERAL TIMES TO GET HOME OR PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I LIVE AND DRIVE IN SOUTH TEXAS... IT GETS 105 IN THE SHADE... 120 IN A VEHICLE. I DECIDED TO FILE THIS BECAUSE I HAVE READ ON THE INTERNET MANY OTHERS HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM AND NOW A FRIEND OF MY WIFE'S HAS THE SAME PROBLEM ON HER CHEVROLET. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIX SOMETHING THAT I BELIEVE IS A DESIGN ISSUE. TO BE PROACTIVE AND NOT REACTIVE BEFORE AN ACCIDENT OCCURS. THE HEAT CAUSES SEVERE DISTRACTION. ESPECIALLY IF SOMEONE IN THE VEHICLE IS YOUNG, ELDERLY, ILL ETC. THE DRIVER IS FORCED TO KEEP DRIVING. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHEVROLET ON 3/4/2014. WAS CALLED BACK AND TOLD THEY COULD NOT HELP AND TO REPORT THIS TO NHTSA. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE REPAIR DETAILS WERE UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT FELT UNSAFE IN THE VEHICLE AND REFUSED TO OPERATE IT ON THE ROAD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKE LINES WERE SEVERELY RUSTED. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY CONCERNS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I WAS TRAVELING NORTHBOUND A REGULAR CITY STREET WHEN THE INSIDE OF MY TIRES HIT A POT HOLE AND SET OFF MY SIDE IMPACT AIRBAGS ON MY 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 Z71 4X4. THERE WAS NO SIDE IMPACT ON THE TRUCK AT ALL AND NO FRONT -END COLLISION TO SET OFF THE FRONT AIR BAGS(THEY DID NOT DEPLOY). I AM EXTREMELY WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OTHERS. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO K1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WAS READING INACCURATELY AND HE WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL WAS IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY CORRECTED THE FAILURE YET THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE WEEKS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
DASH CRACKED AT CORNER OF AIRBAG AND MULTIPLE OTHER PLACES
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH HE ENGAGED THE BRAKES AND THEY PULSATED WHEN THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED NINE TO TEN TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE FAILURE ONLY OCCURRED WHILE MAKING LEFT TURNS AND NOW IT OCCURS WHILE DRIVING IN ANY DIRECTION. THE FAILURE HAD BEEN ON GOING SINCE THE MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY 2011. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SECOND DEALER WHO WAS ALSO UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,300 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,370.
THE AIR BAG SYSTEM ON CHEVROLETS TEND TO NEED SERVICE WORK EARLY AND IF THE SYSTEM IS THAT SENSITIVE, THE BAGS COULD DEPLOY. THIS COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS OR PERSONAL INJURY. IT SEEMS CHEVROLET HAS CONSTRUCTED THIS SYSTEM TO FAIL FOR HOPES OF COLLECTING REPAIR MONEY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER AND OTHER GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO OPERATE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO AN ACCUMULATION OF MOISTURE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE CARPET AREA THAT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE SDM MODULE AND THE FUEL SENSOR. BOTH THE SDM MODULE AND THE FUEL SENSOR WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000. ...UPDATED 07-24-13 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE SIGNAL LIGHTS AND RADIO WOULD STOP WORKING, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE REMOTE ENTRY SYSTEM FAILED. ALSO, THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED.
ON MY CHEVY TRUCK THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME I WAS ADVISED BY CHEVY SERVICE DEPT THAT IF THE LIGHT IS ON BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY. *TR
CRACKED DASH!! MY 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO DASH IS CRUMBLING TO PIECES.. I'M WORRIED IF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG GOES OFF, PIECES OF PLASTIC WILL IMPACT THE PASSENGER.. GM SHOULD REALLY FIX THIS.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 WITH GENERAL AMERITRAK TIRES, SIZE P245/70R17. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TREAD WAS WEARING ON ALL FOUR REPLACEMENT TIRES AT 20,000 MILES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE TIRES TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT SINCE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. THE CONTACT DID NOT CALL THE TIRE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
ABS SENSOR READS INCORRECTLY AND TRIGGERS THE ABS SYSTEM TO KICK IN EVERY TIME THE BRAKES ARE USED, CAUSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO RUMBLE AND GIVING THE SENSATION OF BRAKE FAILURE WHEN THE PEDAL GOES SOFT UNDER YOUR FOOT. THIS IS WORSE WHEN TURNING LEFT. EXTRA DISTANCE IS REQUIRED FOR BRAKING AT ALL TIMES. ABS WARNING LIGHT COMES ON AT RANDOM TIMES FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
TEMPERATURE AROUND 0 DEGREES. SNOW ON ROAD. DASH LIGHTS FOR ABS AND BRAKE WENT ON. WHEN I GOT TO A CLEAR AREA OF PAVEMENT I TESTED ABS BY JAMMING ON BRAKES. ABS DID NOT WORK. DROVE VEHICLE HOME TO GARAGE. TURNED ON HEATER IN GARAGE. NEXT MORNING WARNING LIGHTS OFF AND BRAKES WORKED CORRECTLY. HAS HAPPENED ONCE OR TWICE A WINTER SINCE 2011. LAST HAPPENED 01/07/14. HAPPENS ONLY WHEN LESS THAN 10 DEGREES AND WET. OTHERWISE BRAKES HAVE WORKED CORRECTLY. *TR
THE DASH ON MY 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO HAS CRACKED AT THE CORNER OF PASSENGER AIRBAG AND ABOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. I'M CONCERNED THAT THESE PIECES OF PLASTIC WILL BECOME PROJECTILES IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS.
MY 2007 CREW CAB CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 WAS PURCHASED ON 11/27/06 AND IT HAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER AS OF 12/22/10. THE STEERING IS MAKING A CLUNKING NOISE AND JERKS WHEN TURNED TO THE LEFT WHILE MOVING IN FORWARD OR REVERSE. THIS SAME INCIDENT OCCURRED AT AROUND 20,000 MILES IN THE 2004 CHEVROLET SILVERADO THAT I PURCHASED FROM THE SAME DEALER PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE OF THIS 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. AT THE FIRST SIGN OF STEERING FAILURE WITH BOTH VEHICLES, I TOOK THE VEHICLE DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER. THE STEERING MALFUNCTION IN THE 2004 CHEVROLET WAS FIXED FREE OF CHARGE. WHEN I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE (2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500) I WAS INFORMED BY THE SAME DEALER THAT I WANTED EXACTLY THE SAME WARRANTY AND WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD BEEN SUPPLIED. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AS I HAD DONE PREVIOUSLY. ON 12/22/10, I WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO BRING MY TRUCK BACK AT 0830 ON THE MORNING OF 12/23/10 AND THAT I WOULD BE REQUIRED TO PAY A CO-PAY OF $100. I AM CERTAINLY NO MECHANIC, BUT IF THE STEERING IS FAILING, WOULD IT NOT BE A SAFETY HAZARD TO PUT THE DRIVER BACK ON THE ROAD IN THIS VEHICLE? ACCORDING TO THE COMPLAINTS THAT I HAVE READ ON YOUR SITE, THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM. FOR ME, THIS IS SECOND CHEVROLET SILVERADO IN WHICH THIS SAME PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED. I DO NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHICH PARTS THE DEALER REPLACED IN MY FIRST VEHICLE, BUT THE BEGINNING SYMPTOMS OF THIS STEERING MALFUNCTION ARE THE SAME AS THOSE THAT OCCURRED WITH MY 2004 SILVERADO. WHAT FRUSTRATES ME ABOUT THIS SITUATION IS THAT THE FAILURE SEEMS TO OCCUR QUITE FREQUENTLY IN THE CHEVROLET SILVERADO. SHOULD THEY NOT BE HELD TO SOME STANDARD OF AT LEAST REPLACING POORLY DESIGNED STEERING PARTS AT NO CHARGE? *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK. SHE ENGAGED THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH EXTREME FORCE IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. SHE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AFTER THE FAILURE AND NOTICED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMAINED STUCK. THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWICE BUT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO A DEALER OR LOCAL MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 66,085.
WHEN DRIVING THE TRUCK THE LIGHTS WOULD DIM AND THEN HAVE A LOSS OF POWER. DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT UNTIL ONE DAY GETTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND SHUTTING IT OFF I WENT TO PUT THE KEY BACK IN THE IGNITION AND THERE WAS NO POWER WHAT SO EVER NO DOME LIGHTS NOTHING... NO CLICKS NO DASH LIGHTS NOTHING. THEN HAD SOMEONE JUMP ME POWER AND TRUCK STARTED RIGHT AWAY. SAME DAY HAD MY BATTERY CHECKED AND ALTERNATOR AND EVERYTHING CAME OUT FINE NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. HAPPENED AGAIN ABOUT A WEEK LATER BUT THIS TIME TRUCK HESITATED WHEN KEY WAS TURNED THEN IT DID NOT START RESET THE CLOCK IN THE TRUCK AND THEN HAD LIGHTS DIMMING EVERYTIME BLINKERS WERE TURNED ON. GOT HOME AND HAD A FEELING TRUCK WOULD NOT START IF I TOOK THE KEY OUT SURE ENOUGH EVERYTHING WAS DEAD WHEN I TRIED TURNING IT BACK ON. HAD TO JUMP IT AGAIN. WHEN THAT HAPPENED I GOT THE BATTERY REPLACED THINKING IT WAS FAULTY. TWO WEEKS WENT BY AND IT WAS FINE THEN AFTER PUNCHING ON THE GAS A LITTLE TO PASS A SEMI THE LOCKS WENT UP AND DOWN REALLY FAST AND HAD LIGHTS DIM AGAIN NO MESSAGE ON THE DASH OR ANYTHING. I GOT HOME AND TRUCK DID NOT START AGAIN. JUMPED IT AGAIN THEN A WEEK LATER GOING TO WORK ON THE FREEWAY THE TRUCK HAD EXTREMELY BAD TREMORS AND THEN THE LOCKS STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING AGAIN THE LIGHTS AND STEREO WERE GOING ON AND OFF AND ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND VEHICLE KEPT GOING INTO NEUTRAL AND DRIVE EVERY OTHER FEW SECONDS WITCH CAUSED A CONCERN FOR MY SAFETY. GOOD THING I WAS ONLY A FEW MILES AWAY FROM HOME. I TURNED AROUND WENT HOME AND SURE ENOUGH TURNED IT OFF PUT THE KEY BACK IN AND NO POWER . EXPLAINED FAILURE TO A DEALERSHIP AND SAID POSSIBILITY WAS THE ECM. AND THEY COULD DO NOTHING UNLESS IT WAS DUPLICATED. *TR
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE WOULD NOT RELEASE THE DOOR LATCH. I HAD TO UTILIZE THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. *TR
EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS BROKEN OFF ON 3 OF MY CHEVROLET SILVERADOS. *TR
VEHICLE IS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO WITH A V6. THERE IS AN ANNOYING VIBRATION WHICH MAKES THE VEHICLE SHUDDER AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 45 MPH AND 55 MPH. AM CONCERNED THAT THIS ISSUE WILL WORSEN AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND INJURE PEOPLE.*TR
I AM GETTING A NOTICEABLE VIBRATION IN THE DRIVE TRAIN AT ABOUT 45 MPH. IT FINALLY SUBSIDES AT AROUND 55 MPH. I HAVE HAD THE OIL LEVEL CHECKED IN THE TRANSMISSION AND THE REAR END OIL CHECKED. ALL IS OK IN THOSE AREAS. CONTACTED A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION ON THE PHONE AND I WAS TOLD THAT IS WAS NORMAL FOR THAT MAKE, MODEL AND DRIVE TRAIN. ALSO HAD THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING LOOSE THAT MIGHT CAUSE THE PROBLEM ESPECIALLY THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND ALL IS OK. NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. JUST STARTED. CHEVROLET WON'T BOTHER WITH IT.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 30 MPH ON A TWO LANE ROAD WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS ENGAGED, WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS RELEASED THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. THE SPEED INCREASED UP TO 80 MPH BEFORE THE VEHICLE WOULD STOP. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL APPEARED TO BE STUCK CAUSING THE CONTACT TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK ON AND OFF AGAIN BEFORE IT BEGAN COASTING TO A STOP. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. WHEN THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME, THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 8900.
WHILE LISTENING TO THE RADIO, WHILE TRUCK WAS OFF, THROUGH AUXILIARY INPUT, THE TRUCK SUDDENLY CUT OFF. I LOST ALL POWER TO POWER STEERING, POWER WINDOWS, LIGHTS, DASH WOULD NOT INDICATE WHAT GEAR THE TRUCK WAS IN, AND OF COURSE TRUCK WOULD NOT START. HAD TO HAVE TRUCK TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, WHICH THEY FOUND THE BCM HAD GONE OUT. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO VOLTAGE SURGE AND NO REASON FOR THE FAILURE. A NEW BCM WAS PLACED IN THE TRUCK AT A 600$ EXPENSE TO MY SELF, AND THE TRUCK IS FINE NOW. STILL WORRIED ABOUT WHY IT HAPPENED AND WHAT CAUSED IT SO I KNOW IT WON'T HAPPEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD, OR IF I AM IN AN UNSAFE PLACE. *TR
ON 10/18/2010 RETURNING HOME FROM VACATION, MY RIGHT FRONT WHEEL ASSEMBLY SUFFERED SEVERE INTERNAL FAILURE. THE DEALER IN SOUTH CAROLINA REPAIRED MY VEHICLE, AND COVERED THE EXPENSE OF THE REPLACEMENT PART AND LABOR UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. THEY ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT BRAKE PADS AND RESURFACED THE ROTORS WHICH WERE DAMAGED TO THE SEVERE INTERNAL FAILURE OF THE WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE MALFUNCTION OF THE PART, IT HAPPENS. BUT, ON 12/17/2010 THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL ASSEMBLY SUFFERED INTERNAL FAILURE, AGAIN THE DEALER COVERED THE EXPENSE OF THE REPLACEMENT PART AND LABOR UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. I BELIEVE THEIR MUST BE A PROBLEM FOR BOTH FRONT WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES TO FAIL, I ONLY HAVE UNDER 30,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THANK YOU.
THE ABS COMES ON AT SPEEDS OF 7MPH AND 3 MPH ON MY 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO. I LIVE IN PENNSYLVANIA WHICH IS CONSIDERED THE SNOW BELT IN THE NORTH EAST, I HAD A 2000 SILVERADO AND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM AND GM SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL ON MY TRUCKS ABS AND THE PROBLEM IS THE SAME AS THE 2000 WHICH WAS A RECALL IN 2005. *LN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED THE CONTACT NOTICED THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ON THE STEERING WHEEL WERE NOT WORKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FIBER OPTIC CABLES IN THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO QUAD CAB LT(NEW BODY) OVER THE PAST 4 YEARS MY DASH HAS SLOWLY BEGAN TO CRACK IN MULTIPLE PLACES. THE ONE PLACES THAT WORRIES ME THE MOST IS I HAVE A 4 IN CRACK RIGHT ABOUT MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS IS VERY WORRISOME TO ME BECAUSE IT MAKES ME WONDER IF THIS WILL CAUSE THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY PREMATURELY. ALSO THERE IS MULTIPLE CRACKS ON THE DRIVER SIDE SO BAD THAT A PIECE THE SIZE OF A HALF DOLLAR CRACK OFF AND FELL INSIDE MY DASH SOMEWHERE. I HAVE CONTACTED GM ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD IT WASN'T THERE PROBLEM. SINCE MAKING THIS COMPLAINT I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH WELL OVER 1,000 OTHER GM OWNERS THAT HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM AND IT DOESN'T JUST AFFECT THE SILVERADO. IT ALSO AFFECTS THE YUKON, AVALANCHE, SIERRA AND TAHOE. I THINK THIS PROBLEM TRULY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. IT TRULY IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY.

I NOTICED BACK IN 2010 THAT THE DASH WAS CRACKED AT THE AIR BAG AREA ABOVE THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT BUT AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH IT SEEMS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AMONG THESE NEW BODY STYLE YEARS. 2014...MY DEALER OFFERED ME A REPAIR DISCOUNT OF 20% WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ABSURD !!! *TR

THE CONTACT HAD TO UTILIZE THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED AND THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS OF THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 81,000.
AIR CONDITIONER BLOWER FAN STARTED WORKING OFF AND ON AND FINALLY STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. CONSEQUENCE WAS HAVING TO DRIVE WITHOUT ANY AC IN 100 DEGREE HEAT. TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR ON 8/9/10 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT LOCATE A TSB 05-01-38-012C AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $100 DEDUCTIBLE TO HAVE THE REPAIR COVERED BY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO LT. THE CONTACT STATED THE THROTTLE WOULD STICK ANYTIME HE ATTEMPTED TO RELEASE THE PEDAL. THE VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN VERY SLOWLY. THE ENGINE CONTINUES TO RUN AT 800-100 RPM'S UNTIL THE BRAKE IS APPLIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN, THE ENGINE WOULD OCCASIONALLY SPEED UP TO APPROXIMATELY 1800 RPM'S. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED A NEW ENGINE WAS INSTALLED ON APRIL 11, 2001 DUE TO A FAULTY OIL PUMP. THE THROTTLE BODY AND ENGINE CONTROL MODULE WERE REPLACED TWICE, THE HBAC CONTROL MODULE, OIL DEFLECTOR, PURGE VALVE AND CANISTER, MAF SENSOR, WIRING HARNESS, SPEED SENSOR, CO2 SENSOR, 175 AMP FUSE BOX, TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND UNDER HOOD WIRING WERE ALL REPLACED. AN ENGINEER FROM GENERAL MOTORS HAS WORKED ON THIS VEHICLE AT ALL THREE DEALERSHIPS AND HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY OFFERED LITTLE ASSISTANCE. AROUND THE TIME MY TRUCK HIT THE 42000 MILE MARK THE OIL LOW INDICATOR WARNING ILLUMINATED ON MY INSTRUMENT PANEL. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER SINCE IT WAS WELL UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALER BEGAN AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AND THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO GO THROUGH OIL REGULARLY. SOMETIMES JUST HALF A QUART BUT SOMETIMES AS MUCH AS 1 1/2 QUARTS. THE DEALERSHIP DID WORK ON THE ENGINE 6 MONTHS INTO THIS ISSUE BUT THAT DID NOT STOP THE OIL CONSUMPTION. AFTER DEALING WITH THEM FOR OVER 12 MONTHS, AND THE LOW OIL LIGHT COMING ON 2 MORE TIMES, I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK AND ACCORDING TO GM SPECS, CONSUMING 1 QUART OF ENGINE OIL EVERY 2000 MILES, WAS ACCEPTABLE. I CALLED AND COMPLAINED TO THE GM CORPORATE OFFICES BUT WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT CONTRADICT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE THEY WERE THE ONES MONITORING THE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE. I TOLD THEM THAT BY THEIR "SPECS" IF I TOOK MY FAMILY ON A ROAD TRIP FROM CA TO NY AND BACK, I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE AT LEAST 3 QUARTS, OR HALF THE TOTAL IN THE CRANK CASE, DURING THE TRIP. I KNOW OF NO OTHER AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURER THAT WOULD FIND THIS ACCEPTABLE. GM SAYS IT IS. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT GM IS WELL AWARE OF AND FAILING TO ADDRESS, EVEN WHEN AN OWNER HAS FOLLOWED THE RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE AND REPORTED THE ISSUE IN A TIMELY FASHION. I WILL NOT OWN ANOTHER GM PRODUCT. THEIR CUSTOMER-NO-SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND CONTRARY TO THE TELEVISION ADS, THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. *TR

I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO AND THE GAS GAUGE HAS BEEN ACTING UP FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW. I CAN FILL THE TRUCK ALL THE WAY UP WITH GAS, DRIVE IT HOME FROM THE GAS STATION(7 MILES) AND THE GAS GAUGE WILL BE READING ABOUT 3/4 TANK. WHEN I GO TO DRIVE IT THE NEXT DAY IT READS 1/2 TANK THEN BY THE TIME I GET TO THE INTERSTATE (15 MILES AWAY) IT WILL BE BETWEEN 3/4 AND FULL. I LOVE THE TRUCK BUT WISH CHEVY WOULD PUT A RECALL OUT ON THERE SENDING UNITS BECAUSE I KNOW PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR
2007 CHEVY SILVERADO CLASSIC CREW CAB: LOW SPEED PULSATION OF BRAKES, IF I WASN'T USE TO THIS CONDITION, IT COULD CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. I HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON AND OFF SINCE I PURCHASED IT BACK IN MAY OF 2010, THE DEALER REPLACED ROTORS AND PADS. IT WORKED FINE FOR A FEW THOUSAND MILES. THEN THE PROBLEM REAR UP AGAIN, I THOUGHT IT WAS WORN OR FAULTY PADS, REPLACED THE PADS, STILL PULSATES. HAD THE BEARINGS AND ROTORS CHECKED, NO ISSUE THERE. SO HERE I AM WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOT SOLUTION. I'VE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR ALMOST 7 YEARS AND THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. CHEVY NEEDS TO OWN THIS. IT HAS TO BE FAULTY SENSOR OR CORRODED BRAKE LINES. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
