"TAKATA RECALL AND GM" CORPORATIONS" (TAKATA, GM)) HAVE DECIDED TO RECALL THE CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 2011 FOR DEFECTIVE AIR BAGS. TAKATA'S DECISION THAT THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATORS IT SUPPLIED TO GM ARE DEFECTIVE AND ADVISED THE CONSUMERS TO TAKE THE VEHICLES TO THE DEALERS FOR REPAIR OF THE AIR BAG. I HAVE DONE SO FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS AND I ALWAYS GET THE SAME RESPONSE: NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THE AIR BAGS REPAIR. HOW CAN THAT BE POSSIBLE WHEN SMALLER DEALERS LIKE TOYOTA, NISSAN, HONDA, ETC. USING THE SAME AIR BAGS HAVE THE PARTS AND HAVE BEEN CONDUCTING REPAIRS ON VEHICLES WITH DEFECTIVE TAKATA'S AIR BAGS? WITH THIS LETTER, I AM REQUESTING WITH RESPECT FOR AN EXPLANATION AND A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN GOING FOR SO LONG. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. I WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION MY AIRBAGS FIRED BUT DID NOT DEPLOY THERE WAS A BAD SMELL IN THE CAB AS WELL AS WHAT I WOULD DESCRIBE AS BABY POWDER THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SAID THEY DID NOT DEPLOY BUT THE SMELL IS WHAT THEY HAVE RAN INTO WHEN THEY HAVE DEPLOYED SO AGAIN THEY FIRED BUT DID NOT DEPLOY

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (REEDMAN TOLL CHEVROLET OF EXTON, 421 W LINCOLN HWY, EXTON, PA 19341, (484) 364-3809), BUT WAS DENIED SERVICE EVEN THOUGH THE MANUFACTURER SENT A LETTER OFFERING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE VEHICLE. THE WARRANTY WAS FOR A THROTTLE SENSOR MALFUNCTION THAT CAUSED THE ENGINE POWER TO BE REDUCED. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,200.
TAKATA RECALL - INFORMED NO REMEDY YET FROM CHEVROLET

TAKATA RECALL WE HAVE ONLY RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE,AND NOTICED THE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON. SO BY LOOKING AT THE NHTSA WEBSITE,THE INFO WAS THERE THAT STATED THERE WAS A RECALL,BUT THE REPLACEMENT PARTS WEREN'T AVAILABLE,AS A NEW OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE,HOW CAN I BE ASSURED TO KNOW THAT I WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE??ALSO WHAT CAN I DO TO KEEP MY FAMILY SAFE UNTIL THE REPAIR IS COMPLETE??
INSTRUMENT PANEL CRACKED AT PASSENGER AIRBAG INSTRUMENT PANEL POTENTIALLY CAUSING HARM TO A PASSENGER IF AIRBAG DOES NOT DEPLOY CORRECTLY. I JUST NOTICED THIS CRACK AND 2 OTHERS APPEARING ACROSS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT AFTER ONLY A FEW MONTHS OF HAVING A NEW BULB PUT IN BY MYSELF OR EVEN WHEN THE DEALERSHIPS HAS REPLACED THE BULB.
TAKATA RECALL. MY PICKUP HAS A RECALL NOTICE ON THIS TYPE OF AIRBAG, AND CANNOT GET DEALER OR GM TO FIX. I CALLED THE DEALER TWICE AND GM ONCE. THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING TO FIX MY VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL AND ANOTHER ISSUE OF POWER LOSS----- I HAVE TAKEN MY TRUCH TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE TAKATA AIR BAGS REPLACES AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO REPLACE THEM. POWER LOSS: I CAN BE DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE GOES INTO A DRASTIC AND IMMEDIATE POWER REDUCTION. I HAVE NEARLY BEE REAR-ENDED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE VEHICLE JERKS SUDDENLY THROWING EVERYTHING FORWARD AS THOUGH IT IS NEARLY A SUDDEN STOP. IT WILL NOT DRIVE OVER 20 MPH WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT WILL NOT RESET UNTIL I PULL OVER, REMOVE, AND REASSEMBLE, THE BATTERY CABLES. THIS HAPPENS DURING, AND FOLLOWING, EVERY RAINY DAY. IT ALSO HAPPENS FOR NO SPECIFIED REASON. IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 24 HOURS--NO RAIN AT ALL.
I AM ORIGINAL OWNER, PURCHASED NEW 12/30/11, AND VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL CARED FOR AND MAINTAINED. IT IS A 2011 AND ONLY HAD 52,976 MILES. I NOTICE A GAS ODOR AND GAS DRIPPING UNDERNEATH VEHICLE, WITH A HESITATION IN STARTING VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO WHITEMAN CHEVROLET IN GLENS FALLS, NY. THEIR DIAGNOSIS WAS FUEL PUMP ROTTED AND LEAKING, AND FITTINGS ROTTED INTO PLASTIC LINES. THEY REPLACED FUEL PUMP, LOCK RING, LEVEL SENSOR, AND BOTH LINES OFF PUMP. TOTAL COST WAS $1318.11. THEY STATED THESE PARTS WERE CORRODED FROM WEATHER AND ROAD SALT, AND NOT COVERED BY ANY WARRANTY OR RECALL. I WROTE A COMPLAINT TO GM CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER. THEY ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER 8-3967027450 AND ADVISOR 'DEANNDRA' TO INVESTIGATE. HER INVESTIGATION CONCLUDED THAT THE PARTS THAT WERE REPLACED HAD BEEN CORRODED BY WEATHER AND ROAD SALT IN MY AREA. SHE STATED THERE ARE NO OTHER COMPLAINTS OF THIS NATURE ON FILE TO INDICATE THIS BEING A PROBLEM, SO THIS CASE IS CLOSED.
CRACK DASHBOARD AT THE AIRBAG AREA
MULTIPLE AREAS ON DASHBOARD PANELS ARE CRACKING AND BREAKING.

WITHIN 2 DAY, 2 CRACKS APPEARED ON MY DASH. THEY ARE IN THE SAME SPOTS AS OTHERS HAVE COMPLAINED ON THE NET. TOP LEFT CORNER OF PASSENGER AIR BAD TO WINDSHIELD AND BEHIND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TO WINDSHIELD.
TAKATA RECALL- MY VEHICLES STATUS IS STILL INCOMPLETE! NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTED AND IT HAS ALMOST BEEN TWO YEARS SINCE THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED! I DEMAND ANSWERS! ALSO THE DASH IS CRACKED ON MY TRUCK IN THE VERY SAME PLACE IT'S CRACKING ON THOUSANDS OF OTHER TRUCKS. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AS THE PLASTIC CAN INJURE SOMEONE!

RECALL FOR TRUCK IT SAYS UNABLE TO COMPLETE REPAIR AT THIS TIME TAKATA RECALL , I'M TRYING TO SELL TRUCK AND NO ONE WANTS IT WITH RECALL
TAKATA RECALL... I CALLED THE DEALER ABOUT THE RECALL. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE AT THE TIME, GM WILL CALL WHEN THERE IS A REPLACEMENT. WHAT DO WE DO IN THE MEAN TIME? DO WE WAIT UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS AND THEN SUE GM? I AM CURIOUS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT A LOVED ONE GETTING HURT OR KILLED BEFORE THE AIRBAG IS REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL. DECEMBER 27, 2017 DAVIS CHEVROLET INFORMED ME THEY COULD NOT REPLACE THE AIRBAGS BECAUSE GM HAS NOT AUTHORIZED IT.
"TAKATA RECALL". I CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP, VADEN CHEVROLET IN SAVANNAH, GA ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEY HAVE FAILED TO REPLACE MY TAKATA AIRBAG. THEY SAID THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL--CALLED CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP (KEN WARE CHEVROLET, NORTH BEND, OR) TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR/FIX AND WAS TOLD BY THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT THEY WOULD NOT FIX BECAUSE OF TAKATA BANKRUPTCY.
TAKATA RECALL: I AM DEEPLY CONCERNED THAT THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL FOR MY TRUCK THAT NEITHER CHEVROLET, OR TAKATA IS CONCERNED ABOUT. THE SAFETY OF MY WIFE AND INFANT SON COULD BE AT RISK DUE TO A KNOWN DEFECT IN THE AIRBAGS, AND APPARENTLY THAT IS ALRIGHT WITH CHEVROLET AND TAKATA, BECAUSE BOTH COMPANIES ARE POINTING THE FINGER AT EACH OTHER AND ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR CONSUMERS! WEISNER CHEVROLET IN HUNTSVILLE, TX TOLD ME THIS MORNING THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT THE RECALL, BUT CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I WANT TO BE ABLE TO KNOW THAT MY YOUNG FAMILY AND I ARE SAFE IN THE VERY EXPENSIVE VEHICLE THAT I PURCHASED FROM CHEVROLET, AND AM VERY UPSET WITH THE LACK OF GIVE A [XXX] THAT EITHER COMPANY IS DISPLAYING ABOUT THE FACT THAT MY FAMILY IS CURRENTLY NOT SAFE IN ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES. LARGE CRACK ON UPPER LEFT HAND SIDE OF PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DASHBOARD. TRUCK USED ON HARD SURFACE ROADS. TRUCK IS PARKED IN GARAGE. CRACK SHOWED UP WITHOUT MALICE. CONCERNED ABOUT POSSIBLE DASHBOARD SHATTERING IF AND WHEN AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION CAUSING HARM TO DRIVER/PASSENGERS.

THE DASH ON MY 2011 CHEVY SILVERADO LT HAS NUMEROUS CRACKS BOTH ON THE VISIBLE PARTS, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY AROUND THE BOLTS AND SCREWS THAT FASTEN IT IN PLACE. MY CONCERN IS THAT IT IS NO LONGER STRUCTURALLY SOUND AND THAT IT COULD FAIL CAUSING INJURY. THIS DASH HOUSES THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BACK AND IT HAS TWO CRACKS THAT TOUCH THE AIR BAG. IT IS MY CONCERN THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE DASH IS VIRTUALLY CRACKED FROM ONE IN TO THE OTHER AND THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 64,000 MILES.
TAKATA RECALL. THE RECALL SITE STATES THAT MY VEHICLE IS AFFECTED, HOWEVER, THE LOCAL CHEVY DEALER (ALLEN TURNER CHEVY) SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATES THAT THEY SEE NO SERVICE BULLETIN FOR MY VEHICLE AND THAT THERE IS NO REMEDY FOR THE TACATA AIRBAG. AND, I HAVE RECEIVED A LEGAL NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS?

ENTIRE DASHBOARD CRACKING VEHICLE ALSO INVOLVED IN GM RECALL N212328760
TAKATA RECALL-RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER IN JULY 2016 STATING THE AIRBAGS ARE DEFECTIVE AND THAT GM WILL CONDUCT A RECALL IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVE TO NHTSA THEY ARE SAFE. GM RECALL 49151. NOVEMBER 2017 RECEIVED NOTICE OF TAKATA BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS. FOLLOWING NOTICE I PHONED THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE VEHICLE AND WAS GIVEN VOICEMAIL. I LEFT A MESSAGE BUT THEY DID NOT RETURN MY CALL. SUBSEQUENTLY PHONED GM TO INQUIRE INTO STATUS OF RECALL. I WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND THAT GM WAS STILL WORKING WITH NHTSA. I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE NOTIFIED IF THE AIRBAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THERE SHOULD BE A DECISION BY NOW. OTHER MANUFACTURERS HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED RECALLS AND REPAIRS. WITH TAKATA FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY AND GM NOT MAKING REPAIRS WHO WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE REPAIRS OR ANY ASSOCIATED INJURIES/DEATHS?

THEY ARE DEBTORS, WHO FILED CHAPTER 11 FOR TAKATA CORPORATION. THEY STATED TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO LOCAL DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR ON A DEFECTIVE OR POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE AIRBAG INFLATOR. I'VE KNOWN ABOUT THIS ISSUE FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. GENERAL MOTORS, TAKATA CORPORATION ARE IN A LEGAL BATTLE OVER THIS AIRBAG ISSUE. TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS DO TO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (FINDLAY BUICK GMC PRESCOTT, 1006 COMMERCE DR, PRESCOTT, AZ 86305 (928) 445-7350) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HIM THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE PURSUED THROUGH THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS FOR OVER A YEAR A REMEDY TO THE AIRBAG RECALL. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THEY WERE TO PROVIDE A FREE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAG INFLATORS. EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED TO GET A REPAIR SCHEDULED, THEY HAVE EITHER TOLD ME THAT THE REPAIRS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, OR THAT THE PARTS AREN'T CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, AND THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN THEY ARE. EVERY TIME I FOLLOW UP ON THAT CALL, THEY SEEM TO NOT HAVE MY INFORMATION. I JUST READ SOMETHING ONLINE SAYING THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A FINAL DECISION FROM THE NHTSA IN AUGUST 2017 REFERENCE MY VEHICLE AND OTHERS. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER, I RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL RECENTLY, AND STILL THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS ARE NOT COOPERATING IN THE REPAIR PROCESS.
TAKATA RECALL; CALLED CLASSIC CHEVROLET OF GRAPEVINE, THEY TOLD ME THAT THE RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT OUT PREMATURELY. MY CONCERN IS IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT BEFORE THE PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE AND THE AIRBAGS DON'T FUNCTION PROPERLY, LEADING TO MORE LEGAL TROUBLE. FIND THIS VERY UNFAIR AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
RECEIVED NOTICE TODAY FROM "TK HOLDINGS INC." THAT TAKATA HAS FILED CH.11 BANKRUPCY IN THE US & MEXICO. STATES TO CONTACT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR. MY LOCAL DEALER HASN'T BEEN GIVEN DIRECTION FROM GENERAL MOTORS ON HOW TO PROCEED. I HAVEN'T HAD A PROBLEM (YET) BUT HOW CAN I KNOW WHETHER I'M DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT MAY HAVE AN AIR BAG BLOW AT ANY TIME? IS THE NHTSA GOING TO HOLD THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS RESPONSIBILITY FOR INCLUDING DANGEROUS/POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PARTS? AND GENERAL MOTORS CAN'T EVEN TELL ME IF MY VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A RESOLUTION FOR THIS FEDERAL RECALL.
CALLED RON ANDERSON CHEVROLET IN YULEE, THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM, THERE WAS NOTHING THAY COULD DO.
TAKATA HAS NOT COME OUT WITH AN AIRBAGS TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE ONE. THIS IS PER ALL DEALERSHIPS.
DEALERSHIP DOES NOT HAVE NEW SAFETY BAGS TO REPLACE DUE TO TAKATA NOT HAVE CREATED A NEW AIR BAG.

"TAKATA RECALL" CONTACTED GORDON CHEVROLET UPON RECEIPT OF FIRST RECALL NOTICE AND I WAS TOLD NO FIX WAS AVAILABLE. CONTACTED GORDON CHEVROLET TODAY UPON RECEIPT OF THE CHAPTER 11 NOTICE AND AGAIN WAS TOLD NO FIX WAS AVAILABLE. I HAVE YET TO EXPERIENCE ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES.
CRACK IN DASH ABOVE PASSENGER AIRBAG WHICH I BELIEVE COULD POSSESS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY.
