HAVING MAJOR COMPLICATIONS WITH STEERING WHILE BACKING UP, LOSS OR POWER STEERING AND BRAKE SYSTEM NOT WORKING ACCURATELY
THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS LEAK CAUSING REDUCED POWER AND EXHAUST FUMES TO ENTER CAB. ESPECIALLY WHEN STOPPED THIS CAN CAUSE NAUSEA AND DIZZINESS.
PEELING/FLAKING PAINT PASSENGER REAR DOOR ON THE POST NEAREST THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE TRUCK IS WHITE. 2014 50K MILES GARAGE KEPT. WILL SEARCH THE VEHICLE FOR MORE PAINT ISSUES.
STABILITREK FLASHES AND THEN VEHICLES STEERING LOCKS UP AND THE TRUCK DIES. USUALLY IT'S WHEN I'M GOING SLOW AND USUALLY IT'S WHEN I'M TURNING. THIS IS HAPPENING NOW IN AUGUST OF 2020 BUT ALSO HAPPENED A FEW YEARS AGO AND THEN THERE WAS A RECALL. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS. NO WARNING AND THE TRUCK DIES VERY UNEXPECTEDLY. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM I SEE OTHERS ARE COMPLAINING TOO
I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH MY 2914 SILVERADO LOSING POWER STEERING AND TURNING OFF WHEN I PLACE THE CAR IN REVERSE TO BACK INTO A PARKING SPOT. THE TRUCK HAS ALSO CUT OFF RANDOMLY WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL IN A PARKING LOT. THE ISSUE IS NOT CONSTANT THUS HARD TO DIAGNOSE. I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO CHEVY TWICE AND THE MECHANICS WERE NOT ABLE TO RECREATE THE ISSUE.
AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES I RETURNED BACK TO TOWN. AS I WAS SLOWING THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED A SMALL AMOUNT TO THE LEFT. I SLOWED TO A STOP AT AN INTERSECTION. WHEN ACCELERATING AND TURNING LEFT THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED THREE TIMES. AFTER THAT I TURNED INTO THE WAL-MART PARKING LOT. SLOWED TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. THIS TIME THE WHEEL JERKED VERY HARD TO THE RIGHT AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO STOP. PUT THE TRUCK INTO PARK RESTART THE ENGINE AND MOVE TO A SAFE LOCATION OUT OF TRAFFIC.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS A MESSAGE STATED ACTION REQUIRED, STEERING ASSIST REDUCED, DRIVE WITH CARE APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. ONCE THE MESSAGE APPEARED, THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER MOMENTARILY, AND THEN RESUMED TO NORMAL OPERATION. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT LINKED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V414000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT CALLED COULTER BUICK GMC PHOENIX (1202 E CAMELBACK RD, PHOENIX, AZ 85014) WHERE THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE DEALER OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE DEALER. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.*DT*JB
I purchased this vehicle used in July of 2020. Ever since then, I have experienced random issues with a Service-Trailer Brake System warning coming on. It will keep coming and the chime is extremely distracting and cannot be silenced for any significant period of time. After reviewing on the internet, I am also very concernd about pulling a load with a braking system. I may go for hundreds of miles with no warning, then the warning will start coming in repeatedly. I have not at this time attempted any repairs.
THE AC HAS RANDOMLY STOPPED WORKING. PROPER MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THIS TRUCK. IT IS NOT THE COMPRESSOR AS THE COMPRESSOR STILL TURNS ON. TRIED RECHARGING IT WITH FREON. MANY, MANY WEBSITES HAVE DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM COMING FROM THE AC LINES AND HOW IT WAS DESIGNED BY GM. IF IT IS A DESIGN FLAW, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES WE FIX IT AND SPEND, IT WILL KEEP GOING ON. GM NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND FIX THIS ISSUE
RECALL NUMBER N192217410 AND LOCAL DEALER WONT SERVICE. SAYING IT MUST BE TAKEN TO CANADA TO BE SERVICED. SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST ERROR ON DIC. WHY SEND RECALL NOTICE IF COUNTRY OF USE IS NOT AUTHORIZING THE RECALL. IS IT ONLY DANGEROUS IN CERTAIN COUNTRIES?
WHILE DRIVING STABILITRACK LIGHT COMES ON ALL ELECTRICAL FLICKERS WHILE DRIVING, ALSO SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING WHICH IS DANGEROUS AND CAN BE FATAL.
WHEN DRIVING A MAKING A TURN, THE VEHICLE DIES!! IT CAN BE RESTARTED, BUT THE DANGER OF SOMEONE ASS ENDING YOU IS A SCARY ONE! HAS HAPPENED A NUMBER OF TIMES, IT STALLS AND THEN YOU CAN RESTART. NO DEFINITE DATE AS IT HAPPENS OFTEN
150 MILES AFTER REGULAR SERVICE OF ENGINE LIGHT/ABS/AND STABILTRAK LIGHTS BEING ON, AND AN OIL CHANGE, THE TRUCK STALLED (LUCKILY I WAS IN MY OWN DRIVEWAY). SHORTLY AFTER, THE ENGINE LIGHT, FOLLOWED BY ABS LIGHT CAME ON. SUDDENLY THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE ACTED WILDLY, THERE WAS A VERY HARD SHIFT. I PUT IT ON CRUISE CONTROL JUST TO HELP THE ENGINE QUIT HARD SHIFTING....CC CANCELLED ITSELF OUT. EVERYTHING SETS BACK TO NORMAL FOR A MINUTE OR LESS AND IT ALL HAPPENS AGAIN, THIS TIME TAKING AWAY POWER STEERING AND A LOUDER "HARD SHIFT". IN THE MEAN TIME, EVERY WARNING I THINK THERE IS WOULD POP UP...."STABILTRAK OFF, STARRING ASSIST REDUCED...ETC". THIS JUST CONTINUES AND SEEMS TO GET MORE AGGRESSIVE, MORE FREQUENT...INCLUDING RESETTING TO NORMAL BRIEFLY EACH TIME. SCHUMACHER BUICK/GM/CHEVY SAID IT COULD BE TCM, OR ECM, OR ANOTHER I CAN'T RECALL. UNHAPPY WITH LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF ISSUE, AND A "LET'S TRY THIS THEN THIS THEN THIS..", IT HAS PERPLEXED NOT ONE BUT TWO VERY ACCREDITED MECHANIC TEAMS. THE TRUCK HAS 130,000 MILES, AND WAS SERVICED AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BY THE CHEVY DEALER SINCE IACQUIRED IT NEW. IT NEVER HAD ANY SIMILAR ISSUE UNTIL JUST AFTER ITS MOST RECENT MAINTENANCE. THANKFULLY THIS ALL OCCURRED WITHIN MILES OF MY HOME, AS THE ISSUE IS MOST DEFINITELY A THREAT TO ANY HOPES OF SAFETY. TOWING IT, IS THE ONLY WAY TO SAFELY MOVE THAT VEHICLE AFTER EXPERIENCING THE ISSUES.
WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE AND IN DRIVE AT LOW SPEEDS, BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE PROPERLY. AT FIRST I WAS TRYING TO STOP WHILE IN REVERSE TO GO FORWARD. I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE EXTREMELY HARD TO VEHICLE TO COME TO A STOP. WHEN I WENT FORWARD, I EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING. BRAKES DID NOT ENGAGE PROPERLY AND WERE EXTREMELY HARD TO PRESS DOWN TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. I STOPPED DRIVING AT THAT POINT BECAUSE I WAS IN A TIGHT PARKING LOT AND DIDNT FEEL I COULD SLOW QUICK ENOUGH TO NOT RUN INTO OTHER VEHICLES.
I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, I DIDN'T HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BUT WHEN THE VEHICLE GOT BELOW 15MPH OR SO. THE STEERING LOCKED UP. AND IT ACTED LIKE I HAD TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. ALL OF THE LIGHTS WENT OFF, INSIDE AND OUT. AND THE VEHICLE DIED. LUCKILY IT DIDN'T CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND IT DID START UP AND I WAS ABLE TO GET IT HOME BUT SINCE THEN THE LIGHTS FLICKER AND THE TOUCH SCREEN RADIO GOES BLACK AND WON'T DO ANYTHING. SOMETIMES IT WORKS AND SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. AND THE STEERING FEELS LIKE ONE MINUTE YOU HAVE POWER STEERING AND THE NEXT YOU DON'T NOW.
THE STEERING WHEEL TURN SO HARD WHILE DRIVING AND LATE RESPONSE TO TURNS AND WON'T RETURN TO ITS STRAIGHT POSITION AFTER A TURN THIS VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IT IM SCARED I CAN LOOSE THE CONTROL ON A HIGHWAY AND A CATSTROFE CAN OCCCUR. I CALL THE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY CAR HAS NOT ANY RECALL OPEN UNDER ITS VIN THAT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO ITS I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE AND REPROGRAMING THE EPS MODULE EVEN THERE IS A RECALL ISSUE BY NHTSA WICH RECALL INCLUDE THE YEAR AND MODEL OF MY TRUCK RECALL NUMBER IS (17276) PLEASE HELP THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CAN KILL ANYONE DRIVING ONE OF THIS VEHICLES OR OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE REALLY DANGEROUS PLEASE MAKE GM FIX THIS TO ALL VEHICLES

THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION CHEVROLET CORAL GABLES (4181 SW 8TH ST, CORAL GABLES, FL 33134) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON P06DD. INITIALLY IT WAS A OIL INJECTOR THAT NEEDED REPLACING WITHIN THE FIRST 4 YEARS OF PURCHASE OF A NEW TRUCK. WHEN THE CODE COMES ON LATER IT'S THE OIL PUMP. OIL PUMP HAS A PRESSURE SWITCH ON IT THAT SAYS PUMP OIL AT 10 PPM, IF IT GOES AT 7 PPM IT WILL CAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON.THE OIL PRESSURE GOING INTO THE ENGINE AT 7 PPM IS NOT S SERIOUS ISSUE AND SHOULDN'T CAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON.I LIVE IN A STATE COUNTY WHERE YOU CAN'T REGISTER YOUR 1500 TRUCK FOR A NEW VEHICLE REGISTRATION WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON.THE DEALER WANTS TO BILL ME 10 HOURS OF LABOR BECAUSE OF WHERE THE OIL PUMP IS LOCATED INSIDE THE ENGINE.THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE $1,000 FOR THE REPLACEMENT FO THE OIL PUMP AND THE CONNECTED SENSOR.I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A RECALL EFFORT HAPPEN WHICH WILL NOT MAKE THE SENSOR ENACT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FOR SMALL IRREVERENT DISCRETION WITH THE PRESSURE SWITCH.
THE PAINT ON THE REAR PASSENGER AND DRIVER DOORS IS PEELING OFF. LOOKS TO ME THAT IT'S A BAD BATCH OF PAINT. IT'S PEELING OFF ON THE SAME LOCATION ON BOTH DOORS AND THIS WASN'T CAUSED BY ROCK CHIPS OR ANY TYPE OF IMPACT.
Service trailer brake system does not stop dinging and a/c has not worked for 3 summers have took to dealership 6 times .. also bad ground truck completely losses power sometimes

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RADIO TURNED OFF INDEPENDENTLY AND THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BRAVO CHEVROLET CADILLAC LOCATED AT 1601 S MAIN ST, LAS CRUCES, NM 88005, (575) 527-3800, TO BE DIAGNOSED WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V414000 (STEERING), HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 116,000.
THERE IS AN UNINTENDED BRAKING DURING DRIVE STARTED TO HAPPENED. USUALLY HAPPENS IN AUTO AND 4WD MODE. THE TRUCK WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF FREEWAY OF AROUND 70 TO 80 MILES PER HOUR AND SUDDENLY BRAKES JAMMED BY ITSELF. THIS HAPPENED MORE THAN 5 TIMES. CHECKED THE VIN FIRST TIME THROUGH NHTSA WEBSITE FOR VIN RECALL AND SHOWS 2 RECALLS. FIRST ONE FOR EBCM REPROGRAMMING AND SECOND ONE FOR EQUIPMENT VACUUM PUMP REPLACEMENT. BRING IT TO CHEVORLET OF FOLSOM, CA AND THEY DID REPROGRAMMING WITHOUT THE PART REPLACEMENT AND TOLD THAT TRUCK IS RUNNING FINE. BUT THE ISSUE STILL PERSISTS. NOW BRING IT TO THEM AND THEY SAID WE DONT DEAL WITH SALVAGE TITLES. AND JUST FOR MY SAKE CHECKED AGAIN FOR RECALL ON NHTSA WEBSITE AND IT SHOWS NONE OR MIGHT BE THEY REPORTED IT FIXED. BUT THE ISSUE IS STILL THERE.
TRANSFER CASE AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE TO NEUTRAL.
TRUCK FLASHED SERVICE STBILITRAK AND THEN SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND SHOT RIGHT AND MADE ME GO UP AND OVER A CURB AT 35 MPH. SCANNER SAYS VOLTAGE LOST IN BCM AND NOW IT SAYS TO SERVICE THE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM WITH NO TRAILER HOOKED UP.

WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, AT HIGH SPEEDS, AT LOW SPEEDS, AND WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY I EXPERIENCE A TEMPORARY LOSS OF ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING (EPS).
WHEN I AM TURNING, MY VEHICLE LOSES POWER AND OR DIES. IF MY EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE ON IT CAUSES MY AC TO TURN SO LOW IT ALMOST DOESN'T WORK AND OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. I WAS ALMOST HIT IN AN INTERSECTION BECAUSE MY VEHICLE DIED DUE TO LOSS OF POWER WHEN I WAS TURNING.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIR SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,652.*DT*JB CONSUMER STATED HE WAS DENIED BRAKE COVERAGE BY THE DEALER, ZIMBRICK CHEV SAN PRAIRIE, WI 53590 608-837-2500. *JB
WHEN THE TRUCK IS RUNNING IT LOSES POWER AND THE AC TURNS OFF AND THE RADIO TURNS OFF AND A MESSAGE COMES ON THE MESSAGE BOX STABILITY RACK AND THEN THE AC TURN BACK ON AND THE RADIO. THEN WHEN DRIVE AND TRY TO MAKE A TURN TRUCK TURNS OFF HAVE TO PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND TURN IT BACK ON. *TR
IT STARTED WITH THE TRUCK LOSING POWER WHEN MAKING SLOW SPEED TURNS INTO DRIVEWAY/PARKING SPOT WHICH INCLUDES LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHICH HAS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST CRASH SEVERAL TIMES. THE POWER USED TO COME BACK UP BUT NOW IT IS RESULTING IN THE TRUCK JUST TURNING ITSELF OFF MID TURN AND NOT JUST ON SLOW TURNS. IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS MAKING A TURN ONTO A STREET AND I WAS FORCED TO MUSCLE THE TRUCK OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD- NO POWER AT ALL SO NO POWER STEERING-GOING ABOUT 10-15 MPH. WHEN DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON IF YOU USE THE TURN SIGNAL IT KICKS OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL. THE AC WILL JUST STOP AND THE TRUCK WILL JUST SHUT OFF. THE WHOLE TIME ALL/ANY OF THIS IS HAPPENING MY DASH IS TELLING ME STABILITY CONTROL IS OFF, STEERING ASSIST OF OFF DRIVE WITH CARE....IF THE DASH HAS ANY POWER THAT IS. THE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM FLASHES LIKE I AM USING THE BRAKES WHEN I AM SITTING IN THE TRUCK DOOR OPEN, KEY OUT. I HAVE UNPLUGGED THAT THINKING IT WAS THE PROBLEM BUT IT DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING. AT TIMES IT IS COMPLETELY RANDOM THAT ALL POWER ALMOST BOTTOMS OUT AND COMES BACK MOMENTS LATER. THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG AND AS SEE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THESE SAME ISSUES...SHOULD INVESTIGATE AND OFFER RECALL AND GET THESE TRUCKS FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE DOES CRASH. MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 53,300 MILES ON IT AND IT HAS A NEW BATTERY AND WE HAVE CHECKED THE ALTERNATOR. THE DATE BELOW WOULD BE WHEN I ALMOST CRASHED TURNING THE CORNER AND TRUCK DIED.
CAM AND LIFTER ISSUES. CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ARE BAD. ONLY HAVE 65000 MILES ON IT

THE PAINT ON THE TOP CAB IS PEELING AND THE DOOR LOCKS STICK ALL THE TIME.
IT STARTED OUT AS THE TRUCK LOSING ALL POWER WHEN ENTERING THE TRUCK . NO POWER TO THE DASH OR IGNITION. THEN POWER WOULD RETURN OUT OF NOWHERE. LATELY THE TRUCK WILL LOSE ALL POWER WHILE THE TRUCK IS RUNNING SITTING STILL AND MOVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. ENGINE WILL STAY RUNNING BUT NO DASH NO A/C AND WHEN THE DASH RETURNS STABITRAC NOTIFICATION IS ON THE SCREEN . TODAY THE TRUCK DID THIS 11 TIMES IN 1 HOUR AND EVEN LOST STEERING CONTROL WHILE DRIVING DOWN A LARGE HIGHWAY. WHILE ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY WITH THE HAZARDS ON THE DASH, CONTROLS AND A/C INTERMITTENTLY FLICKED FOR A FULL 2 MINUTES
WHEN ON HIGHWAY, WHEN TURN SIGNAL IS ENGAGED THE CRUISE CONTROL TURNS OFF. ALSO AT LOW SPEED, AC WILL TURN OFF, BRAKE STABILITY WARNING APPEARS AND POWER STEERING GOES OFF. *TR
LOW SPEED BRAKE FAILURE,5MPH OR LESS.BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD TO PUSH AND STOPPING THE VEHICLE IS DIFFICULT.
COMING OFF THE INTERSTATE GOING ABOUT 75 MPH , AS I WAS PULLING IN TO A GAS STATION SLOWLY MY STEERING WHEEL GOT REALLY STIFF AS IF I HAD NO POWER STEERING. WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON ,RADIO SHUT OFF ,A/C SHUT OFF ,AND STABILITY TRAC WAS DISABLED ALL FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. SHORTLY AFTER I WAS PULLING OFF FROM THE GAS STATION VERY SLOWLY AND THE TRUCK JUST SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING.IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO START UP JUST FINE RIGHT AFTER AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. ALSO NOT SURE IF THIS IS A RELATED PROBLEM BUT WHEN I'M AT A RED LIGHT BEHIND OTHER VEHICLES I NOTICED MY HEADLIGHTS DIM WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKES OR TURN THE WHEEL,I CAN SEE THE VOLTAGE METER RAISE AND DROP WHEN THIS HAPPENS.YES I'VE HAD THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY CHECKED AND THAT DIDN'T SEEM TO BE THE PROBLEM EITHER. *TR
TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND I DON'T HAVE 100K MILES. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT EVEN TOWED ANYTHING AND IS NOT USED FOR COMMERCIAL USE. *TR
WHEN TURNING AT LOW SPEED THE POWER STEERING QUIT WORKING. *TR
HAS OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES WITH THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, IN MOTION, ON A CITY STREET, HIGHWAY, TURNING, AT A VARIETY OF SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE TEMPORARILY LOSES POWER AND POWER STEERING. THE STABILITRACK AND STEERING ASSIST INDICATORS APPEARS ON DASHBOARD. SOMETIMES THE POWER RETURNS, OTHER TIMES I WILL HAVE TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK, REPOSITION KEY, AND RESTART THE ENGINE. I HAD VEHICLE SERVICED BY DEALERSHIP EARLIER THIS YEAR, AND MY VIN DID NOT MATCH ANY RECALLS. THEY COULDN'T IDENTIFY THE ISSUE AND SUGGESTED I REPLACE THE BATTERY. I REPLACED THE GOOD BATTERY WITH A NEW BATTERY, AND STILL EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE. THIS OCCURS MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK, SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY, AND HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR AT LEAST A YEAR..
WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE TRUCK TURNED OFF AND ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WERE DISABLED. HAZARD LIGHTS WERE OFF AND ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT INCLUDING DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK WERE DISABLED. ELECTRIC STEERING TURNED OFF. THIS WAS A DEADLY MALFUNCTION AND HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW. *TR
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO EXIT MY DRIVEWAY, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND MY TRUCK SCRAPED INTO A POST DAMAGING THE DRIVER DOOR AND THE FRONT PANEL. THIS ONLY LASTED FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS, BUT IT WAS BAD ENOUGH. UPON CHECKING THE CARFAX, I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR AND SERIOUS ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP FAILED TO CHECK IF ANY RECALLS WAS REPORTED ON THIS VEHICLE. NOW MY TRUCK IS DAMAGED AND THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO FIX MY VEHICLE. I HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE AND HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE BBB. WE WILL SEE WHAT COMES OUT OF THIS IF ANYTHING.
OUR TRUCK WILL SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE RADIO AND AIR WILL TURNOFF FIRST THEN THE TRUCK WILL SHUT RIGHT OFF. IT IS SCARY WHEN YOU ARE TOWING AND GOING RIGHT ALONG ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN IT TURNS OFF. SOMEONE IT'S GOING TO GET KILLED BEFORE ANYTHING IT'S DONE. WE HAD THE RECALL DONE BUT IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE COMPANY DOES NOT CARE BECAUSE I HAVE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND NOTHING WAS DONE. DRIVERS BEWARE AND STAY SAFE!
TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, ON A BUSY CITY STREET, I HEARD AND FELT A LOUD BUMP THAT SOUNDED ALMOST LIKE I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. AFTER THE INITIAL BUMP, I TRIED TO ACCELERATE BUT THE TRUCK JUST MADE A WINDING NOISE LIKE IT COULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. THE TRUCK FINALLY SHIFTED BUT, WOULD NOT CHANGE OUT OF FIRST GEAR. LUCKILY I WAS NOT HIT FROM BEHIND. I JUST HAPPENED TO TAKE A LESS TRAVELED WAY HOME THAT DAY. IF I HAD TAKEN MY NORMAL ROUTE, WHICH IS THE HIGHWAY, I GUARANTEE THIS COULD HAVE CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND POSSIBILITY MINE OR SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE. THE TRUCK HAS HAD HARD SHIFTS SINCE I PURCHASED IT CERTIFIED PREOWNED, WHICH I SEE IS A VERY COMMON COMPLAINT. AFTER HAVING THE TRUCK CHECKED BY A MECHANIC, METAL SHAVINGS WERE FOUND IN THE TRANSMISSION FLUID, WHICH WILL RESULT IN THE TRANSMISSION HAVING TO BE REPLACED. ALL MAINTENANCE FORTHE TRANSMISSION WAS UP TO DATE PRIOR TO THUS HAPPENING. *TR
WOKE UP PULLED OUT THE HOUSE HEADED TO WORK WHEN I GOT TO STOP SIGN TO TAKE A LEFT NO POWER STEERING WHAT SO EVER. *TR
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ( IN MOTION) THE DOOR LOCKS BEGIN TO ACTIVATE UNCONTROLLABLY, THE POWER WILL DROP OFF AND THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE MUST BE PUT IN PARK AND THEN CHANGED INTO DRIVE AGAIN BEFORE IT WILL MOVE; MAY TAKE MORE THAN OCEAN. NO WARNING PRIOR TO ISSUE STARTING AND CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HAVING A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE THE CONTACT INFORMED THE MECHANIC THAT THERE WAS AN AC FAILURE DUE TO IT LETTING OUT HOT AIR INSTEAD OF COOL AIR. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE'S CONDENSER DETACHED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (MERCEDES-BENZ OF CALDWELL ADDRESS: 1220 BLOOMFIELD AVE, WEST CALDWELL, NJ 07006; PHONE: (973) 227-3600) FROM THE WELL JOINT CAUSING A LEAK WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE'S CONDENSER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND OPENED A CASE REGARDING THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT WAS THEN REFERRED TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,657.
IN MOTION AND AT LOW SPEED, THE VEHICLE STALLS OUT WHEN IDLING INTO A TIGHT TURN, LIKE A PARKING LOT OR SPACE. IT HASN'T ALWAYS CUT TOTALLY OFF. USUALLY THE 'STABILITY TRAC' LIGHT COMES ON WITH THE FAILURE, BUT SOME TIMES IT JUST CUTS OFF, AND WHEN I CRANK IT RESTARTS RIGHT UP.
IT IS TOO BAD I CAN NOT CHECK ALL THAT APPLY! I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AS OTHER PEOPLE LOOSING STEERING AND GETTING THE STABILTRACK MESSAGE AT LOW SPEEDS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU LOOSE ALL POWER AND THE LIGHTS ALL DIM. I ALSO HAVE BEGUN TO NOTICED THAT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY IN CRUISE CONTROL ANY TURN OF THE VEHICLE WITH THE STEERING WHEEL KILLS THE CRUISE CONTROL. I ALSO HAVE THE TRAILER, BREAK SYSTEM MESSAGE FLASH RANDOMLY AT LOW SPEEDS WITHOUT A TRAILER OR PULLING ANYTHING THIS IS JUST ANNOYING THE OTHER PROBLEMS ARE MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES!!! I HAVE HAD THIS TRUCK IN THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES HAD VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WASN'T EVEN TOLD ABOUT THE RECALLS THAT WERE ON IT. HOWEVER, I DON'T SEEM TO SEE ANY RECALLS FOR THE PROBLEMS THAT I HAVE AND THAT THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE DESCRIBING WITH THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND STABILTRACK AT LOW SPEEDS. I ALSO WANT TO ADD THAT THE REAR SEATBELTS IN THIS VEHICLE ARE COMPLETE JUNK.
WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON FOR STEERING ASSIST WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. AT THIS TIME, THE AIR CONDITIONING AND RADIO TURNED OFF, BUT THE ENGINE REMAINED RUNNING. DISMISSING THE ALERT RETURNED THE A/C AND RADIO, AND THE TRUCK CONTINUED RUNNING. A FEW MINUTES LATER, AN ALERT POPPED UP FOR STABILITRACK, THE A/C TURNED OFF, AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, ALL WHILE MOVING. I LOST MY BRAKES, WAS STILL ABLE TO STEER, AND HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO COME TO A STOP. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THERE ARE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE INTERNET TALKING ABOUT GROUNDING ISSUES RELATED TO THIS, AND IT'S NOT UNCOMMON. WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL FOR THIS? *TR
