WHEN DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON AT APPROXIMATELY BETWEEN 55-70 MPH THE DASH FLICKERS AND THE TRUCK WILL OCCASIONALLY WILL TURN OFF COMPLETELY FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 SECOND AND THEN COME RIGHT BACK ON. THIS PROBLEM WILL OCCUR ALSO IF YOU TAP THE BRAKES AFTER THIS HAPPENS. UPON PARKING THE TRUCK THE FLICKERING OF THE DASH CAN OCCUR MORE MILDLY BY ENGAGING THE BRAKE, TURN SIGNALS, OR HIGH BEAMS. SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO USE THE CRUISE AND TURN SIGNALS TO CHANGE LANES WITHOUT THIS HAPPENING. STABILITY TRAK ERROR COMES UP WHEN THE TRUCK TURNS COMPLETELY OFF. IT HAS ONCE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT STEERING ASSIST GOING OFF OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. *TR
PAINT ON REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR STARTED TO PEEL AWAY WITH NOT DAMAGE TO THE BODY OR PRIMER. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE STATED THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED , AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A LOCAL DEALERSHIP REPAIR THIS AT MY OWN COST. *TR

DROVE A WEEK LATER AND FELT BRAKE PEDAL GET REALLY HARD ALMOST NOT STOPPING THAT IS WHY I CAME BACK TO HAVE FIXED AROUND 100 CALLED TO GET UPDATE NOTHING WAS TOLD TO ME CALLED AGAIN AT 230PM SPOKE TO [XXX] SAID WILL CALL RIGHT BACK 315PM STILL NO CALL BACK FINALLY CALLED AGAIN AND GOT [XXX] BACK ON PHONE NOW AT THIS POINT I JUST WENT IN TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON HAD TRUCK ALL DAY AND SAID NOT GOING TO DUE REPAIR EVEN ASKED WHY NO CALL BACK [XXX] SAID TECH WAS OUT TO LUNCH AT THIS POINT I AM FRUSTRATED I KNOW WHAT I FELT IT IS MY DAILY DRIVER AND ALSO WAS SENT INFORMATION ON VACUUM PUMP LOSS ON THIS YEAR FROM RECALL CENTER .WELL VERY UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE TODAY AND FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING MY TRUCK NOW ESPECIALLY AFTER SEEING RECALL LETTERS A MANGER CAME OUTSIDE DID NOT SEEM TO CARE MUCH BUT HE DID SAY WE MAKE MONEY ON THOSE REPAIRS KINDA SEEMED LIKE IT WAS A JOKE AT THIS POINT I JUST ASKED FOR MY TRUCK BACK AND JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF THAT DEALERSHIP AT LEAST I HAVE PROOF I WENT IN FOR RECALL IF SOMETHING HAPPENS FROM [XXX] YOU GUYS DEFINITELY DO NOT PUT SAFETY FIRST FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS NOTE BEFORE I WENT IN I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE BY MAIL ON 2-27-20 I WENT IN FOR REPROGRAMMING SEEM TO BE OK COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER I FELT HARD BRAKING AT SLOW SPEED THEN WENT INTO [XXX] AGAIN ON 5-21-20 THATS WHEN I COULD NOT GET THEM TO DO REPAIR NEEDED VACUUM PUMP PROBLEM FOR BRAKES I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY 2014 SILVERADO ANY MORE FROM [XXX] SAFETY SHOULD BE PRIORITY HERE [XXX] MUST NOT THINK THE SAME WAY. I PULLED INTO A DRIVE THRU TRAVELING STRAIGHT AHEAD. WHEN I TRIED TO BRAKE I HEARD AN ODD CLICKING NOISE AND HAD A VERY HARD BRAKE PEDAL. THE NOISE I FOUND OUT LATER WAS THE ABS SYSTEM DOING IT'S JOB BECAUSE OF MY HARD BRAKING. I DID GET THE VEHICLE STOPPED BEFORE HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THE HARD BRAKE CONTINUED AS I MOVED THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU LINE. ONCE I PULLED OUT ON TO THE ROAD THE AND TRIED THE BRAKES AGAIN THEY APPEARED TO WORK PROPERLY. I PULLED INTO AN OPEN LOT AND TRIED THE BRAKES MULTIPLE TIMES AT LOW SPEED AND THE HARD BRAKE CONDITION CONTINUED. MY VEHICLE JUST TURNED OVER 70,000 MILES AND HAD THE RECALL N192268490 TO RECALIBRATE THE BRAKE CONTROL MODULE FOR HARD BRAKING ON 3/4/2020. IT'S APPARENT THAT THE FIX GM IS DOING FOR THE HARD BRAKE PEDAL AND STOPPING IS NOT RESOLVING THE ISSUE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND IF I HAD BEEN CARRYING ANY WEIGHT OR A TRAILER WITH MY TRUCK I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP. I AM GOING TO BE REPLACING THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP WHICH I BELIEVE WILL FIX THE ISSUE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ON CITY STREET, GOING STRAIGHT OR TURNING, VOLTAGE WILL GO DOWN AND RESULT IN THE TRUCK CUTTING OUT (RADIO) LIGHTS FLICKER (HEADLIGHTS AND DASH LIGHTS) AND SERVICE STABITRAK WILL COME ON DASH THEN THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL COME ON. WITH FINAL RESULT OF HAVING SURGES OF POWER STEERING WITH VOLTAGE DROPS. RESULTING IN ALMOST A HEAD ON COLLISION. PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE TRUCK OFF FOR A MINUTE THEN IT WILL BE FINE. TOOK TO LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP, THEY 'VISUALLY CHECKED' ALL ENGINE GROUNDS, BATTERY TERMINALS, STARTER WIRE, ALTERNATOR WIRE, AND POWER STEERING WIRES. EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT GOOD. IT DID THROW 13 DTC'S RELATED TO LOW VOLTAGE. HAVEN'T HAD A PROBLEM IN 7,000 MILES AND NOW IT IS STARTING AGAIN. I AM UNCERTAIN OF THE FAULTY ISSUE, AND SO IS MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP. BUT, THEY WANNA 'TRY' ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT THINGS AT MY EXPENSE, WHICH I THINK IS WRONG. THERE ARE RECALLS FOR THE SAME YEAR OF TRUCK WITH THE SAME ISSUES.
RECENTLY I HAVE NOTICED SOME STIFFNESS IN MY STEERING. IT'S ONLY TEMPORARILY WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKS ON ME BUT REGAINS CONTROL IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN MAKING A TURN COMING OUT OF A PARKING ZONE OR TURNING FROM A STOP. I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I WOULDN'T WANT THIS HAPPENING AT HIGH SPEEDS OR FREEWAY. ALONG WITH THE STEERING ISSUE I NOTICED MY RADIO WILL NOT COME ON WHEN I TURN MY TRUCK ON I HAVE TO TURN TRUCK OFF A COUPLE TIMES AND BACK ON AND IT'LL COME ON. NOT SURE IF THIS IS RELATED OR IF IT'S JUST COINCIDENCE BUT BOTH ISSUES BEGAN AROUND THE SAME TIME. *TR
The vehicle wobbles really bad while driving at high speeds. I have heard of a lot of other people having this same issue. Please look into it. Thank you.
LONG STORY SHORT. THIS IS A WEEKLY ISSUE THAT I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN THIS TRUCK. LAST YEAR ABOUT 5/2020 I TOOK IT ON A 6 HOUR-ROUND TRIP DRIVE. THE HIGHWAY IS 70 MILES PER HOUR. ABOUT MIDWAY BACK HOME THE TRUCK JERKED HARD AND SHUT OFF FOR A SECOND AND TURNED BACK ON. WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70MPH! I PULLED OVER TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS STILL "OKAY" TO DRIVE HOME FOR THE NEXT 2 HOURS. I AM VERY LUCKY THAT, THAT DID NOT RESULT INTO A SERIOUS COLLISION. I HAD A FULL TRUCK OF PEOPLE INCLUDING A CHILD ALONG WITH A 4X4 IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK. THIS CONTINUES TO BE AN ON GOING ISSUE WITH THE "STABILITRACK" ALERT ALWAYS COMING ON EVERY SECOND. ANOTHER OCCASION I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT WHEN HALF-WAY THROUGH THE ENTRANCE WAY, THE TRUCK SHUT OFF, COMPLETELY. NONE OF THE LIGHTS TURNED ON, THE TRUCK WOULD NOT TURN ON FOR A GOOD 10 MINUTES. I WAS BLOCKING THE ENTRANCE AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO ABOUT IT. THEN JUST RECENTLY I NOTICE THAT MY LIGHTS, ALL LIGHTS FLICKER WHEN I MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL OR WHEN I STEP ON THE BREAK AND GAS PEDALS. IF I DRIVE IT LONG ENOUGH ALL SOUND IS OFF EVEN THOUGH THE VOLUME IS UP. THEN WHEN I NEED TO MAKE ANY TURN, ANY DIRECTION, THE WHEEL BECOMES HARD TO TURN TO THE POINT WHERE I CANNOT MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL THEN IT SHUTS OFF AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN LUCKY THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN IN A SERIOUS COLLISON DUE TO THIS. I SEE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUES I HAVE. I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND IF THIS TRUCK IS THE REASON WE GET INJURED, I WILL BE SEEKING LEGAL ACTION. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP WITH MY CONCERNS BUT THE DIAGNOSTICS NEVER BRING UP AN ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED, MY VEHICLE HAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. AFTER PUTTING THE TRUCK IN PARK AND RESTARTING, IT DROVE FINE. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES NOW. ONCE I PULLED INTO OUR DRIVEWAY AND WHILE WAITING FOR THE GARAGE DOOR TO OPEN, IT SHUT OFF MOMENTARILY AND THEN RESTARTED ON ITS OWN. NOW IT IS SHUTTING OFF AND NOT RESTARTING. THE POWER STEERING IS ALSO GONE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS AT INTERSECTIONS. WE'VE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEY SAID THEY WEREN'T AWARE OF ANY ISSUES. THIS STARTED OCCURRING AROUND 85,000 MILES. *TR
MY VEHICLE WAS SERVICED ON APRIL 14, 2020 FOR AN OIL CHANGE, TIRE ROTATION, ETC. AND THE WORK WAS ALSO PERFORMED FOR RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V645000. I HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM PRIOR TO THIS DATE - NO INCREASED PRESSURE, NO WARNING LIGHTS, NOTHING. AFTER THIS DATE I NOTICED MY BRAKES SKIPPING WHILE IN REVERSE ON AN INCLINE. I LIVE AT THE TOP OF A HILL AND MY DRIVEWAY IS ALSO A HILL, SO I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT. HOWEVER, I WAS REVERSING OUT OF A SLIGHTLY INCLINED PARKING SPOT AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT AND PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE TRUCK WAS STILL NOT STOPPING. I MANAGED TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND GET THE CAR INTO DRIVE TO AVOID HITTING A CAR BEHIND ME IN THE PARKING LOT. LATER THAT SAME DAY I WHEN REVERSING OUT OF ANOTHER SLIGHTLY INCLINED PARKING SPOT HAD TO FULLY USE MY EMERGENCY BRAKE TO BRAKE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I COULD NOT PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL AT ALL DUE TO SO MUCH PRESSURE. I TOOK MY TRUCK IMMEDIATELY TO THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT GET TO IT THAT DAY, BUT THAT I COULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND BRING IT BACK FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. I REFUSED TO DRIVE MY TRUCK OFF THEIR LOT AND AM APPALLED THAT IT WOULD EVEN BE SUGGESTED AFTER HEARING THAT THE BRAKES MAY OR MAY NOT WORK. I CALLED THE NEXT DAY AT LUNCH TIME AFTER I HAD NOT HEARD ANYTHING AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A SHORT IN THE BRAKE PUMP AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED, BUT THE PART IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER. I WAS AGAIN TOLD I COULD COME GET MY TRUCK AND DRIVE IT UNTIL THE PART CAME IN (BECAUSE I TOLD THEM I WASN'T PAYING FOR THEIR LOANER CAR I'M CURRENTLY DRIVING THAT THEY WILL TRY TO CHARGE ME FOR). I TOLD THE MAN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HE'S CRAZY IF HE THINKS I'M GOING TO COME GET A TRUCK WHERE THE BRAKES MAY NOT WORK. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE VEHICLE DAMAGE IF NOT ADDRESSED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING 73 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE I WOULD NOTICE THAT THE DASH LIGHT WILL FLICKER AND THE TOUCHSCREEN AS WELL. AS I GOT TO 78 MPH THE ELECTRONICS BLACKOUT, STEERING WHEEL TIGHTEN UP FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS THEN EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON.AS I DECIDED TO DECELERATE WITHOUT THE BRAKE TO GET OFF ON THE NEXT EXIT I HIT MY RIGHT SIGNAL LIGHT AND THE ELECTRONICS FLICKED OFF AND ON AGAIN AND MAINTENANCE STABILITIRAK SHOWED UP. WHEN I GOT TO A STOP I CUT THE TRUCK OFF AN BACK ON EVERYTHING WAS BACK TO NORMAL. 30 MILES DOWN THE ROAD THE DASH LIGHTS WAS FLICKERING AGAIN. I KEPT THE TRUCK STEADY AT 73 UNTIL I GOT HOME. UPON BACKING INTO MY DRIVEWAY THE TRUCK SHUTS OFF. WHEN I CRANKED THE TRUCK A MESSAGE READ ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN AND UP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER STEERING ASSIST. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE 'STEERING REDUCED, DRIVE WITH CARE' WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY INCLUDED IN AND REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V414000 (STEERING) HOWEVER, THE REPAIR FAILED TO PREVENT THE FAILURE. THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED BY MORITZ CHEVROLET (9101 CAMP BOWIE W BLVD, FORT WORTH, TX 76116, (800) 249-9475). THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED, WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 128,000. *BF VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JAMES WOOD CHEVROLET (DENTON, TX) WHERE FAILURE WAS DETERMINED TO BE CAUSED BY A VOLTAGE RESISTOR FROM BATTERY CABLES. DEALER STATED THAT BATTERY CABLES WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. *DL
I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS DESCRIBED IN GM BULLETIN 15453. MY VEHICLE SHAKES, JERKS, OR A 'HARD SHIFT' WHEN SELECTING A GEAR WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
THE STEERING ASSIST COMES ON IN THE INFO SCREEN, TRUCK POWER STEERING GOES OUT, AND CRUISE CONTROL SHUTS OFF. THIS HAPPENS AT 60MPH, AND ALSO HAPPENS WHEN THE TURN SIGNALS ARE USE AT A LOW SPEEDS. *TR
AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT HAPPENS RANDOMLY. IT WILL BE FINE FOR 6-8 MONTHS THEN IT WILL ACT UP. IT STARTS WHEN I BRAKE THE LIGHTS WILL DIM. THE STABILTACK LIGHT WILL FLASH OFF AND ON. WHILE STILL IN MOTION. THE TRUCK WILL LOSE POWER AND THE BRAKES AND STEERING WILL LOCK UP. USUALLY WHEN COMING TO A STOP OR TURNING SLOW. IT'S HAPPENED AT STOP LIGHTS, PARKING LOTS AND A PARKING GARAGE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS. I HAVE NO CONTROL AT THIS POINT. I'VE ALSO EXPERIENCED THE TRUCK NOT CRANKING BUT AFTER IT SITS FOR A WHILE IT WILL CRANK LIKE NOTHING WAS EVER WRONG WITH IT. INTERIOR LIGHTS AND DOOR LOCKS COME OFF AND ON. I'VE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM ONLINE AND IT SEEMS A LOT OF PPL HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS. WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING IS THAT IT IS THE G218 GROUND ISSUE. I'VE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ACT LIKE THEY HAVEN'T HEARD OF THE PROBLEM. EVERY TIME I'VE TOOK IT THEY CHARGE ME A FORTUNE AND TELL ME TO PUT A NEW BATTERY IN IT. I HOPE THIS GET INVESTIGATED BECAUSE IT'S A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE AND SOMEONE WILL BE HURT. I AM ACTUALLY SCARED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. THANK YOU.
THE VACUUM PUMP HAD A COMPLETE FAILURE, PRODUCING NO VACUUM PRESSURE TO THE BREAK ASSIST. THE RECALL SUGGESTING THE RECALIBRATION OF THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL HAD BEEN COMPLETED MONTHS PRIOR. THIS RESULTED IN SIMILAR SYMPTOMS, VIBRATION IN THE BREAK AND A HARD BRAKE PEDAL. ONCE IT COMPLETELY FAILED, THE PEDAL BECAME EXTREMELY STIFF AND STOPPING WAS VERY DIFFICULT. INITIALLY, THE PEDAL VIBRATION WAS NOTICED AT SLOWER SPEEDS. WHEN THE PUMP FAILED, THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON AN OFF RAMP COMING UP TO A STOP SIGN. IT TOOK ALMOST STANDING ON THE BREAK PEDAL TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 72,000 MILES ON IT. *TR
EVERYTHING TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING ON FWY AT 80 MILES. MY DOORS UNLOCKED TRUCK TURNED OFF. TURNED BACK ON. AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AFTER EVERYTHING TURNED OFF.
VEHICLE STEERING IS INTERRUPTED WHILE IN MOTION AND TURNING. ( ~10 MPH CITY STREETS) VEHICLE SHUTS OFF AT LOW SPEED OR AFTER IDLEING AND VEHICLE IS PLACED INTO DRIVE FROM PARK.(CITY STREETS 0-7MPH) WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS SPEED/CRUSE CONTROL DISENGAGES (SHUTS OFF) WHEN RIGHT TURN SIGNAL IS ACTIVATED. (MULTIPLE HWY SPEED RANGES' 50-75 MPH) NOTE'-DATE BELOW IS THE LATEST OF THESE REPEATED ISSUES. THE THREE EVENTS DESCRIBED HAVE REPEATED OCCASIONALLY RECURRED SINCE OWNERSHIP. NOW STEERING INTERRUPTION AND VEHICLE LOSING POWER AFTER IDLEING MORE FREQUENT. SPEED/CRUSE CONTROL DISENGAGEMENT WHEN SIGNAL LIGHT IS ACTIVATED IS ALSO RECURRING.

THE DRIVER EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES. THE WINDOW WAS COVERED WITH CARDBOARD AND DUCT TAPE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CAPITAL CHEVROLET (9820 CAPITAL BLVD, WAKE FOREST, NC 27587(919) 261-3786) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. Issue first noticed when backing into a parking spot, at low speeds, when I turn the wheel I look power steering abilitiy and have to fight to turn the wheel. At the same time I have issues with the electrical system...radio cuts off/on, stabitrack warning, doors unlock then lock, ac cuts off/on. After this happening very randomly for a few months it has progressively gotten worse. Most recently I was turning left on a busy street and the same above mentioned things happened, stalling me out in the middle of the street. I was luckly not to get hit due to a couple defensive drives able to avoid me. I have already hadthe Safety Recall fixed (#17276), however its the same exact symptoms as the recall.

THE DOORS WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK DURING THIS TIME AND IT WILL SHOW NEARLY EVERY WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH. IT HAS SHUT OFF AND NOT STARTED BACK UP. IT HAS LEFT ME STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF A PARKING AS WELL AS BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN MAKING A TURN. ALSO THE SERVICE TRAILER BREAK SYSTEM WILL RANDOMLY POP UP ON DASH SCREEN AND IMMEDIATELY CLEAR ITSELF AND KEEP GOING OFF REPEATEDLY BACK TO BACK ANNOYING YOU TO DEATH. THIS TRUCK IS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A HIGH SAFETY RATING FOR I HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN AND I DON'T NEED A 5 YEAR OLD TRUCK WITH LESS THAN 100,000 MILES SHUTTING OFF IN MIDDLE OF TURN ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY WITH MY KIDS WITH ME. THE SHUTTING OFF AND THE TRAILER BREAK SYSTEM HAS BEEN STEADILY GETTING WORSE. GM NEEDS TO GET THIS FIXED OR THEY WILL HAVE LEGAL ACTIONS FROM MULTIPLE PEOPLE.

AFTER TALKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND MANUFACTURER NUMEROUS TIMES, I FELT THIS WAS ONE OF MY LAST RESORTS. THE MANUFACTURER LAUGHED ME OFF AND SAID NHTSA WOULD PAY NO ATTENTION AS PAINT ISNT A SAFETY CONCERN. SOMEONE HAS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT WITHOUT ME HAVING TO SPEND THOUSANDS TO REPAINT. IT'S A CLEAR MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE BY ALL STANDARDS. THE COST OF THEIR VEHICLES BEING SO HIGH, ALL PARTS SHOULD LAST FOR MORE THAN 55000 MILES, INCLUDING THE PAINT. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET, AND WHENEVER I WOULD SIGNAL LEFT TO MERGE INTO THE OTHER LANE, THE CRUISE WOULD DISENGAGE. I COULD RESET IT AS USUAL IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS, BUT IT HAD DONE THIS BEFORE, SO I TESTED MULTIPLE TIMES AND RECEIVED THE SAME RESPONSE ALMOST EVERY TIME. I HAD MULTIPLE LIGHTS WITHIN DASH LIGHT UP, THEN GO OFF (REALLY SCARY). HAPPENED TOO FAST TO TELL WHAT LIGHTS LIT UP. ADDITIONALLY, MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT AS I WAS SLOWLY TURNING INTO DRIVEWAY OF MY FRIEND'S HOUSE. HE EVEN COMMENTED IT LOOKED LIKE I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE TURN, SO IT WASN'T JUST MY IMAGINATION. THIS EPISODE HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE, ALMOST AS IF THE ENGINE HAD DIED (BUT IT HAD NOT DONE SO). I HAVE READ WHERE THIS WAS A RECALL ON OTHER MODELS OF CHEVY TRUCKS, BUT FOUND NO RECALL INFORMATION ON MY VIN. ALL I KNOW IS THAT IF MY ELECTRONICS AND/OR MY STEERING GO OUT WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND I WRECK, GM WILL HAVE MAJOR LEGAL ISSUES ON THEIR HANDS. I HAVE BEEN A LIFELONG CHEVY OWNER AND ALWAYS KEEP MY VEHICLES IN TIP-TOP SHAPE. THEREFORE, THIS IS A MANUFACTURER'S ISSUE THAT NEEDS RESOLVED BEFORE LIVES ARE LOST.

ON 10 DEGREE DAY, TRUCK DISPLAYED LOW OIL PRESSURE SHUT OFF VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING ONE MILE AWAY FROM WORK. CHECKED OIL AND TOPPED OFF, TRIED TO START VEHICLE, HEARD A NOISE AND TRUCK STARTED TICKING NOISE. REPLACED SPARK PLUGS AND OIL PRESSURE SWITCH AND STILL TICKING. FORUMS STATED IT COULD BE THAT OR THE OIL PUMP. LOOKING AT PUTTING IN A NEW OIL PUMP BUT WONDERING IF THIS IS PART OF THE PREVIOUS RECALL.

My truck has developed a radiator leak after 39930 miles. I see from reading on the Internet this is a very common problem with this year of truck. Chevrolet even has a recall to replace the radiator but says my truck is not included. The recall notice is #15829. This ends up being a very expensive repair. I have been quoted $1428.00 by a Chevrolet dealer to replace radiator.
THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN A PARKING LOT. I GOT BACK INTO THE TRUCK TO LEAVE AND I WENT TO PUT ON MY DRIVER'S SIDE SEATBELT AND IT BROKE OFF THE CABLE SHEARED. THERE WAS NO FORCE OR WARNING, IT JUST CAME OFF. THIS WAS A SEATBELT THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED IN A RECALL BY GM FOR THE SAME THING.

ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHEN MAKING A TURN AND THIS HAPPENS VEHICLE WILL DISPLAY THAT STABIL TRAC HAS BEEN DISENGAGED. DOOR LOCKS ALSO UNLOCKED AND LOCKED WHILE THIS WAS HAPPENING. ALSO WHEN TRAVELING AND USING CRUISE CONTROL WHEN TURNING ON THE TURN SIGNALS CRUISE CONTROL WILL DISENGAGE AND STABIL TRAC NOTIFICATION WILL COME ON IN DISPLAY. DEALER REPLACED BATTERY APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AGO STATING IT WAS BAD AND THESE ISSUES MIMICKED A BAD BATTERY. ALL PROBLEMS STILL PERSIST.

THE CONTACT STATED THEY LIVED IN THE STATED OF SOUTH CAROLINA, THEREFORE, THE A/C UNIT WAS NECESSARY FOR SAFETY PURPOSES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE WHO OPENED A CASE REGARDING THE MATTER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 166,000.
In temperatures under 40 degrees the driver seat belt has trouble clicking in. You have to jiggle it about 8-10 times before it engages.
