TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE PASSED INSPECTION; HOWEVER, THE LOWER PASSENGER SIDE BALL JOINT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
HAD A FAILURE WITH THE DOD OR THE AFM . I THINK ONE OF THE LIFTERS ON THE V4 DOD GOT STUCK AND CAUSED MY TRUCK TO SHUT DOWN ON THE INTERSTATE DOING 80 MPH. NOW THE TRUCK WONT START AND JUSTS TURNS OVER..THERES NO FUEL OR SPARK PROBLEMS. THIS IS THE 1ST PROBLEM WITH THE TRUCK THAT HAS 108,263 MILES ON IT. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED CAUSE THERE IS NO WARNING BEFORE YOU GET THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER/ STABILINK OFF LIGHT COMES ON. I ALREADY FOUND OUT A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO
RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT BRAKES, STATING AS THE VACUUM LEVEL DROPS, THE BRAKE ASSIST DECREASES, INCREASING BRAKING EFFORT, DEALERS WILL REPROGRAM THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE, FREE OF CHARGE. I HAVE DONE THIS AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING AT SLOWER SPEEDS...I BELIEVE REPLACING THE VACUUM PUMP WOULD CURE THE PROBLEM AND BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL TO REPLACE SUCH. NOT TO JUST REPROGRAM THE COMPUTER. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS CLOSE CALLS AND FEEL THIS IS A VERY BIG SAFETY ISSUE AND A MAJOR CONCERN. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!

THE CONTACT CALLED UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALER AND WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. ENGINE IS MAKING A TICKING/KNOCKING NOISE TOOK IT CHEVY DEALERSHIP THEY SAID ITS A FUEL INJECTING PUMP.. SEARCHED VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE A LOT OF CHEVY SILVERADO OWNERS HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT WE ARE SPENDING LOTS OF MONEY TO BUY THESE VEHICLES THAT WE EXPECT TO LAST PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS SEARCH VIDEOS WITH KEY WORDS OF 2014-2018 SILVERADO ENGINE NOISE THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE A RECALL WITH A DOUBT IF WE ARE SPENDING MONEY ON CHEVY BRAND TRUCKS THAT ARE KNOWN TO LAST.
DURING A TURN TO A SIDE STREET THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. ALL STEERING AND BRAKES WERE INOPERABLE. THERE WAS AN ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT AND A MESSAGE ABOUT THERE BEING 2 IDENTICAL KEYS FOR THE TRUCK THEN ANTI THEFT FLASHED. WHILE STOPPED IN THE INTERSECTION BLOCKING TRAFFIC, A MESSAGE DIRECTED TO ROLL DOWN THE DRIVERS WINDOW THEN BACK UP. WHEN THAT WAS DONE, ELECTRICAL CAME BACK ON AND STEERING WAS RESTORED. THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND IS NOW UNSAFE FOR USE. THE CONTROL FOR BEING ON OR OFF IS UNRELIABLE AND THEREFORE UNSAFE TO USE AS A TRANSPORT. 42000 MILES ON THE 2014 HIGH COUNTRY SILVERADO. NO STEERING. NO BRAKES...THAT MAKES IT UNSAFE. WOULD YOU PUT YOUR FAMILY IN THIS VEHICLE AND ASK THEM TO DRIVE SAFELY? HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY GIVING TOTAL CONTROL TO VOLATILE SOFTWARE? HOW ABOUT AT 75 MPH AND IT FAILS? JUST KNOW IT CAN HAPPEN WOULD HAVE ENSURED I CONSIDERED ANOTHER PURCHASE. I BELIEVE THAT INFORMATION ALONE WILL JUSTIFY SOMEONE ELSE'S MARKETING DATA.
THIS TRUCK IS ON ITS 3RD TRANSMISSION. BOTH FAILED THE EXACT SAME WAY. THE TORQUE CONVERTER OVERHEATED DUE TO THE V8 TO V4 MODE AND WARPED THE TRANSMISSION. THE FIRST TRANSMISSION SWAP WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THE SECOND SWAP WAS NOT. WHICH I HAD TO PAY 4800.00 TO REPLACE. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL AND THEY HAD TO UPGRADE THE TRANSMISSIONS. THE SECOND TRANSMISSION THAT WENT IN DID NOT LAT BUT 50K MILES. RIDICULOUS. I DO NOT DRIVE MY TRUCK AGGRESSIVELY, NOR IS THERE ANY REASON THE TRANS SHOULD HAVE FAILED TWICE WITH THE EXACT SCENARIO. IT HAD INCREASED RPMS ON THE ENGINE BUT TRUCK DID NOT MOVE. WHEN SPEED WOULD SLOW DOWN IT FELT LIKE I WAS DRIVING ON RUMBLE STRIPS AND I WAS ON A BACK COUNTRY ROAD. I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR THE SECOND TRANS SWAP. GM KNEW ABOUT THIS ISSUE BUT NEVER PUT A RECALL OUT. I AM NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER.
TRAVELING AT ALL SPEEDS THE STABILITYTRAK WILL TURN OFF WHEN HITTING THE BRAKES. SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE TRUCK WILL LOSE QUICKLY LOSE POWER AND THEN IT COMES BACK ON. I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO GET FIXED MULTIPLE TIMES AT A CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND EACH TIME THEY COME UP WITH SOMETHING NEW THAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE CALLED AND MAKE 2 COMPLAINT TO GM/CHEVY ([XXX]AND [XXX]) BOTH TIMES THE MANUFACTURER HAVE DONE NOTHING FOR ME. I DID THE RECALL BACK IN 2017 FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THAT DID NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD GROUNDING WIRE WORK DONE, A NEW BATTERY PUT IN, A NEW ENGINE FUSE BLOCK WITH WIRING HARNESS, AND RECENTLY A NEW STEERING COLUMN. NOTHING HAS WORKED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PARK THE VEHICLE SAFELY AND TURN OFF THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT WAITED THREE MINUTES BEFORE HE RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. For several years now, I have been receiving the notification SERVICE: Trailer Brake. I typically try to dismiss it, but on occasion, it will continue to pop up over and over and over and over again. I have never even used the trailer brake. Whe. The warning started i took the truck tk get checked they replaced everything but the wire harness and still every other day i get the warning. Thankfully it has not caused an accident yet but the warning is non stop once it starts.I looked on youtube and there are countless owners that have this same problem. It is definitely a distraction to the driver and could potentially cause a very serious accident.
WHEN COMING DOWN THE STREET TO TURN IN MY DRIVEWAY THE SERVICE POWER STEERING WARNING APPEARED ON MY DASH AT ABOUT 25 MPH. IT WAS TOUGH TO TURN IN BUT IT APPEARED TO BE WORKING SOME. TURNED OFF WHEN STOPPED AND RESTARTED, AND HAD NO STEERING ABILITY OTHER THAN SLIGHT TURN. CALLED DEALER WHO BROUGHT IT IN AND SAID THAT RECALL CAMPAIGN WAS UNDERWAY AND THAT THEY WOULD SEE IF THAT WOULD FIX IT. THEY CALLED ME NEXT DAY TO TELL ME I NEEDED AN ENTIRE STEERING SYSTEM THAT WOULD COST IN EXCESS OF $1,900 WITH TAXES, PLUS I WOULD REQUIRE AN ALIGNMENT. I LOOKED UP TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS OR SERVICE BULLETINS THAT MIGHT HELP FIX THIS ISSUE. DEALER OFFERED A SLIGHT DISCOUNT FOR LOYALTY AND TOLD ME TO CALL CHEVROLET FOR FURTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AS I BALKED AT THE COST FOR A RELATIVELY NEW TRUCK. (PURCHASED JANUARY 2015 I DID AND THEY ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER ALMOST 1 WEEK AGO. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO THE DEALER AND CHEVROLET AND THEY HAVE NOT MADE ANY ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

DURING A PANIC STOP AT SLOW TO MID SPEED SOMEONE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME AND I HIT THE BRAKES ONLY TO HAVE A HARD PEDAL AND NOT STOPPING QUICK ENOUGH. FELT LIKE A BRAKE BOOSTER ISSUE. THE HARD PEDAL AND INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE AND I WILL BE HEADING TO THE DEALER ASAP. I AM OUT OF NORMAL WARRANTY AND ONLY HAVE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY LEFT. REAR SEAT BELTS DON'T RETRACT, I HAD DEALERSHIP LOOK AT THEM AND IT WOULD BE MY PROBLEM TO REPLACE THEM. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND IT APPEARS THIS IS A REGULAR PROBLEM ON THESE SILVERADOS
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where unknown repairs were performed on the transmission; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at 85 MPH, the transmission downshifted, and the engine made an abnormal sound. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who performed unknown repairs; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the torque converter. After driving the vehicle approximately 2,000 miles, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, who replaced the torque converter again. The torque converter was replaced four times; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to the NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V374000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
BAD INJECTORS
BRAKE FAILURE. WHILE BACKING DOWN MY DRIVEWAY AT A SPEED OF ONLY 10-15 MPH THE VEHICLES BRAKE PEDAL BECAME ROCK HARD AND WOULD NOT DEPRESS, I AM A 220 LB. MAN WHO IS WHAT I FEEL IN GOOD SHAPE AND HAD TO USE BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ALL MY STRENGTH JUST TO ATTEMPT TO SLOW IT DOWN. I WAS UNABLE TO FULLY BE ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE WHEN I IMPACTED THE CORNER OF MY GARAGE WHICH RESULTED IN MINOR BUMPER DAMAGE , HOWEVER NO ONE WAS HURT THANK GOD. THE ODD THING IS ONCE I STOPPED AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK THE BRAKE PEDAL SEEMED TO BUILD PRESSURE AGAIN AND WAS FINE? AFTER A LITTLE INVESTIGATION WITH THE VEHICLE I CAN RECREATE THE ISSUE IF I PUMP THE BRAKES 4 TO 5 TIMES IN QUICK SUCCESION WHICH RESULTS AGAIN IN A ROCK HARD PEDAL AND LOSS OF BRAKING. ONCE I REV THE ENGINE IN NEUTRAL I RESTORE PRESSURE BACK TO THE BRAKE PEDAL AND HAVE NO ISSUES. I AM ALMOST POSITIVE THIS IS A BRAKE VACUUM ISSUE AND WILL BE TAKING TO A MECHANIC ASAP TO LOOK INTO IT.

I TOOK MY TRUCK IN FOR SERVICE MY BRAKE PEDAL WAS GETTING HARD TO PRESS EVEN AT A LOW SPEED. I TOOK IN MY VEHICLE AND IT ENDED UP BEING THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP THAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM.
TURNED A CORNER WHILE BRAKING, THE ENGINE DIED, "SERVICE STABILITRAC SOON" ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL; DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD PULLING A LIGHT WEIGHT BOAT TRAILER, THE ENGINE DIED BUT CAME BACK ON IMMEDIATELY AND THE "SERVICE STABILITRAC" ILLUMINATED; PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AND AS I TURNED ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH THE TURN THE ENGINE DIED AND "SERVICE STABILITRAC SOON" ILLUMINATED. I TOOK TO THE TRUCK TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WAS LOOSE AND THE POSITIVE CABLE HAD TOO MUCH RESISTANCE - $507.00 LATER AND APPROXIMATELY 10,000 MILES LATER REARED IT'S UGLY HEAD AGAIN. COMING BACK FROM A MORNING DRIVE TO THE LAKE AND THE 'SERVICE STABILITRAC' LIGHT ILLUMINATED BUT THE TRUCK DIDN'T DIE, A LITTLE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD IT DID THE SAME THING AND DIED BUT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING, STARTED TO BACK INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND IT DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND ATTEMPTED TO START IT TWO OR THREE MORE TIMES, NOTHING!!! IT'S LIKE THERE WAS NO BATTERY INSTALLED. EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS I LOSE STEERING, THE BRAKES SEEM TO FADE BUT I AM ABLE TO STOP ON THE SLOW TURNS LIKE INTO THE PARKING LOT. IN ALL INSTANCES THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING. ONE TIME I NOTICED AN INCREASE IN THE A/C SPEED WITHIN THE CAB AND THE 'SERVICE STABILITRAC' ILLUMINATED BUT AS SOON AS I TURNED ABOUT HALF WAY INTO A PARKING AREA, IT DIED, BUT CONTINUED TO PICK BACK UP ON THE ENGINE RUNNING. THE LOCAL DEALER HAD ALSO PERFOMED SOME SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING THE CAMPAIGN FOR 'LOSS OF STEERING ASSIST' AT 19,340 MILES. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 42,000 MILES..... THE DATE "WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN" WAS TODAY 7/16/2019 BUT THE OTHER TIMES WERE VARIOUS BEFORE THIS DATE.

THE CONTACT CALLED WILSON CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 4850 W 6TH AVE, STILLWATER, OK 74074, (405) 334-5134) AND INFORMED THE DEALER ABOUT A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. THE DEALER DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE MUST BE A LEAK BECAUSE THE FREON CONTAINER WAS ALMOST EMPTY. THE MECHANIC ADDED ALMOST A POUND OF FREON TO THE CONTAINER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THREE TO FOUR DAYS LATER, THE FREON CONTAINER WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND I COULD FEEL IT SLIPPING. I MANAGED DO MAKE IT TO MY STREET AND IT LOCKED UP AND SKIDDED TO A HALT AS IF WAS THROWN INTO PARK EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN DRIVE. REVERS WOULD NOT ENGAGE NOR WOULD DRIVE. THE TRUCK WOULD ROLL IN NEUTRAL. THE TRUCK IS ONLY A 2014 AND HAS 130000 MILES. MOST HWY MILES. IT IS CURRENTLY IN SHOP JAVING TRANSMISSION REBUILT. THIS EVENT HAPPENED YESTERDAY MORNING JULY 15TH 2019.
THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER SPLIT AT THE SEAMS, LOSS OF ALL COOLANT.

AUTO SALES (391 S STATE RD, CHESHIRE, MA 01225, (413) 743-0014) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE MOUNTED VACUUM PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,859.
HELLO I OWN A 2014 SILVERADO AND THE A/C GAVE OUT AT 67K MILES ON IT. I KNOW THIS ISSUE IS DEALT WITH ANYONE IN THE UNITED STATES WITH ANY GM TRUCK FROM 2014-2015, GM THEMSELVES HAS SAID TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY FIX THEIR TRUCKS THAT IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW.YET THERE IS NOT TSB OR RECALL FOR THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT PAID 50K+ FOR A TRUCK. I JUST WANT A REPAIR OF THE A/C BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED THE A/C TO WORK ON HOT SUMMER DAYS, PEOPLE CAN HAVE HEALTH COMPLICATIONS BECAUSE OF IT THANK YOU.

BREAK POWER ASSIST FAILS AT LOW RPM. BREAK PETAL US HARD TO PUSH AND BREAKS DO NOT STOP VEHICLE AS WELL.
WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK STARTED MAKING A WEIRD NOISE AND THEN WOULD ALMOST FEEL LIKE U RAN OVER RUMBLE STRIPS. WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS THE TRUCK WILL NOW NO LONGER SWITCH GEARS. THERE ARE SHAVINGS IN TRANNY FLUID. ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE TRUCK JUST WOULDN'T SHIFT OR GO WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE. CHEVY HAS PUT FAULTY TORQUE CONVERTERS IN THESE TRUCKS AND THEY NEED TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THIS PROBLEM. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPEN TO THEM. FAILURE WAS AT ONLY 120,000 MILES AND OUR TRUCK IS VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF, MAINTENANCE DONE, AND WAS NEVER EVER DROVE HARD.
ON 7.3.2019, I WAS BACKING INTO A PARKING SPACE WHEN A LOUD NOISE OCCURRED. I GOT OUT AND MY TRUCK WAS SITTING ON THE GROUND AS MY FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS BROKE OFF AND RESTING ON THE GROUND. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE NEAREST CHEVY DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE CONTROL ARM HAD FAILED CAUSING MY TIRE TO BREAK OFF. AUGUST 8TH, THIS HAPPENED AGAIN BUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THANKFULLY THIS HAPPENED AT MY HOME WHEN PULLING INTO THE DRIVEWAY. I AM NOT SURE HOW THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED SEEING AS THIS IS OBVIOUSLY FAULTY CONTROL ARMS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TRUCK. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A CATRASTOPHE HAD I BEEN ON TRAVELING AT HIGHER RATES OF SPEED. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND IS QUITE RIDICULOUS SEEING AS THE TRUCK IS NOT THAT OLD. WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, TURNING, OR REVERSING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED. SHORTLY AFTER, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE CONTACT HAD TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IN ORDER FOR THE POWER STEERING TO RETURN TO NORMAL. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
THE POWER STEERING LOCKS UP FOR JUST A SECOND AND THE TRIGGERS THE STABILITRACK WARNING. THE LIGHTS FLICKER WHEN I TURN THE TURN SIGNAL ON, IT WILL SHUT OFF AND TURN BACK ON WHEN TURNING AT LOW SPEEDS. ALL ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED ON 2014 SILVERADOS. JUST NOT MY 2014 SILVERADO
I'VE HAD 2 SEPARATE ISSUES REGARDING MY AC SYSTEM. 1ST WAS MY AC COMPRESSOR FAILED AND LOCKED AND ALL FREON CAME OUT AND 1 1/2 YEARS LATER MY AC CONDENSER RANDOMLY DEVELOPED A LEAK FREON ESCAPED AGAIN. I'VE CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY HAVE MASKED IT WITH 'WARRANTY REPAIRS'. I'VE DONE RESEARCHED AND THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS CHEVROLET AND GMC TRUCKS. THEY SAID THERE WOULDN'T BE RECALL UNLESS THIS COMPANY REPORTED A SAFETY RECALL. I WAS ACTUALLY DIRECTED TO YOU GUYS BY A SUPERVISOR OF THE CUSTOMER OF GENERAL MOTORS. IF NEED BE I COULD SEND SEVERAL FORUM SITES AND ACTUAL TESTIMONIALS OF OWNERS ISSUES JUST LIKE MINE.
MY AIR CONDITIONER STARTED BLOWING ONLY HOT AIR AND I NOTICED A LEAK IN THE CONDENSER. THIS IS APPARENTLY A HUGE ISSUE WHICH GM KNOWS ABOUT WITH 2014-2016 SILVERADOS. THERE HAVE BEEN LAWSUITS FILED AND MANY COMPLAINTS SUBMITTED. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A FAULTY PART OR PARTS THAT GM KNOWS ABOUT AND REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE.
TRUCK CLICKS WHEN YOU TRY AND START WITH THE KEY YOU HAVE TO START WITH THE REMOTE START BUTTON ON THE KEY FOB THEN PUT THE KEY IN
COOLING SYSTEM WENT FROM COOLING FINE THEN ONLY BLOWS HOT AIR FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES AFTER DRIVING THEN ONLY COOLS TO ABOUT 65 DEGREES.
COMPRESSOR FOR AIR CONDITIONING SEIZED UP AND CAUSED THE BELT TO BRAKE THE CONDENSER WAS ALSO HEAVILY LEAKING. FIRST COMMENT OUT OF THE SERVICE MANAGERS MOUTH WAS THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH SILVERADOS AND SIERRAS. DON'T KNOW WHY THE SUV WERE RECALLED AND THE TRUCKS WERE NOT. WITH ONLY 30000 MILES IT IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE
I BOUGHT THIS 2014 SILVERADO NEW. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE FOGGING UP ON THE INSIDE WHICH MAKES IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. ALSO , THE STEERING WHEEL IS COMING APART AROUND THE AIR BAG , WHICH MAY GET IN THE WAY OF ME SAFELY STEERING IT OR MIGHT CAUSE THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY.THIS VEHICLE IS STORED IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIROMENT EVERY DAY. THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER IN THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS IN A COMA, SUSTAINING INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND HEAD. THE DRIVER PASSED AWAY ON IMPACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT WHERE IT WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. WHEN WARM VOLTAGE DROPS, WARNING LIGHTS GO OFF SUCH AS STABILITY & TRAILER BRAKE. LOST STEERING & DROVE INTO MY YARD. HAVE HAD IT LOOKED AT FOUR TIMES WITH NO RESOLUTION. THEY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG.

STARTED NOTICING HARD BRAKE PEDAL IN REVERSE AND AT LOW SPEEDS UNTIL LAST NIGHT IT SEEMED AS IF MY BRAKES WERE NOT THERE AT ALL PULLING INTO MY GARAGE.WELL THIS MORNING I LEFT FOR WORK AND GOT MAYBE 2 MILES AWAY AND HEARD A SQUEL AND HAD LITTLE TO NO BRAKE AND THEN THEY GOT HARDER AND I GOT NO BRAKES I ALMOST RAN INTO A LADY AT A STOP LIGHT IN FRONT OF ME BUT SWERVED AND MISSED HER BUT PULLED OVER OFF ROAD AND NOTICED THAT MY BELT HAD BROKE AND THAT VACUUM PUMP HAD LOCKED UP AND IT NEEDED REPLACED.
