AUSTIN, TX 2ND TIME AC GOES OUT, TRUCK HAS 67,000 MILES. PREVIOUS FAILURE (NOV, 2016 @ 39378 MILES) WAS DUE TO FAULTY LINE/DESIGN IN REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE. HAD REPAIRED BY DEALER AND BRACKET INSTALLED. SEPT. 2018, AFTER LEAVING TRUCK PARKED FOR SEVERAL DAYS WHILE TRAVELING, EXPERIENCED WARM AIR BLOWING OUT OF VENTS UPON RETURN. WORKING WITH DEALER TO RESOLVE, FOR THE 2ND TIME.
AIR CONDITIONING-GM HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM OF THERE AIR CONDITIONERS IN MY TRUCK AS WELL AS MANY OTHER TRUCKS JUST LIKE MINE. HOWEVER THEY DO NOT ISSUE A RECALL FOR THE PROBLEM WHICH SHOULD HAVE BE DONE AND MANY PEOPLE AGREE ON THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THE PART WHICH IS THE CONDINSER IS A CRITICAL PART IN THE AIR CONDITION SYSTEM
VECHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING
I HAVE BROUGHT MY TRUCK TO THE CHEVROLET IN UNION CITY GEORGIA FOR THEM TO REPAIR THE RECALL 3 TIMES THIS YEAR AND THEY KEEP SAYING THEY RESET THE COMPUTER ESP AND YET THE PROBLEM STILL OCCUR EVERY BLUE MOON THE HEAD LIGHT FLICKER AND DIMS WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKES THE INTERIOR LIGHT WILL DIM AND HEAD LIGHTS ALSO. ON 8/19/18 COMING HOME FROM WORK WHILE PARKING MY TRUCK IN MY DRIVEWAY WHILE TURNING. IT CUT OFF AND STEER WHEEL REVERSE BACK AND THIS BEEN GOING ON FOR SOME MONTHS I HAVE TO CUT THE TRUCK OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN TO GET IT TO ACT RIGHT AND IF I DRIVE FOR A WEEK ONE OF THEM DAYS IT WILL EVENTUALLY DO IT AGAIN I GO TO WORK EARLY IN THE MORNING AND WHEN MY HEADLIGHTS ARE ON I NOTICE THEY DIM ONCE?S I PUT MY FEET ON THE BRAKES OR TURN ON THE TURN SIGNALS IT DIMS. NOW WHEN IT COMES BACK WHILE DRIVING I PLACE MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES AND THE RADIO AND DASHBOARD INTERIOR LIGHT DIMS AND I?M REAL CAUTIONS WHEN I TURN THAT WHEN SOMETIMES IT WANT TO SHIFT OFF. I JUST WANT THE SITUATION FIX BESIDES THAT IT'S A GOOD TRUCK I?M JUST PARANOID WHILE DRIVING IT SOME DAYS I ALSO HAVE VIDEOS OF IT ACTING UP ON SINCE THE DEALERSHIP CLAIM THAT CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WHILE TURN ITSELF OFF WITH NO EXPLANATION. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. IT HAS INCREASED SINCE I GOT THE LAST RECALL DONE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS IT HAS SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS TURNING ACROSS LANES AND DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. THE TRUCK SHUTS COMPLETELY OFF AND HAS TO BE RESTATED BY TURNING THE KEY.
WHEN DRIVING (SITTING IN DRIVERS SEAT), WHEN YOU GO AROUND A CORNER YOU CAN FEEL THE SEAT MOVING. IT SEEMS TIGHT WHEN YOU GET OUT AND TRY MOVING IT BUT WHEN DRIVING AND TURNING CORNERS YOU CAN FEEL THE SEAT MOVE SLIDING SIDE TO SIDE. TALKED WITH DEALERSHIP ON PROBLEM, THEY CLAIM IT NEEDS A SHIM KIT. BUT THEY WANT TO CHARGE TO DIAGNOSE WHAT I DEEM TO BE A SAFETY PROBLEM. AT SOME POINT THE SEAT MAY COME COMPLETELY FREE.
TAKATA RECALL WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS AND WHEN THE ENGINE SWITCHES TO V4 I LOOSE BRAKING POWER AND HAVE ALMOST REAR-ENDED A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. ALSO SINCE I LIVE IN THE MOUNTAINS IT HAS ALSO CAUSED ME TO ALMOST DRIVE OFF THE ROAD DOWN A MOUNTAIN. WHILE BACKING DOWN MY DRIVEWAY WHICH IS ALSO A HILL I HAVE LOST BRAKING ABILITY WHICH HAS CAUSE ME TO ROLL DOWN BACKWARDS ALMOST HITTING MY HOUSE AND ALMOST GOING OFF OF A CLIFF. I HAVE CALLED AND HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS SPENDING $120.00 FOR AN INSPECTION WITH THEM TELLING ME NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY BRAKES. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AND IT SHOULD BE HANDLED BY A FULL RECALL DUE TO IT BEING A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD THAT COULD COST ME AND OTHERS OUR LIVES. PLEASE PUSH GM TO MAKE THIS A NATIONAL RECALL AND MAKE THEM PUT THE SAFETY OF PEOPLES LIVES AHEAD OF MAKING PROFIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
THE RADIATOR LEAKS. POSSIBLY RELATED TO SPECIAL COVERAGE 15829.
LOSS OF BRAKING AT LOW SPEED. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD AND VEHICLE WILL NOT STOP DUE TO FAULTY VACUUM PUMP. IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THESE TRUCKS AND GM HAS EVEN REPLACED THE ORIGINAL PART NUMBER WITH A NEW UPDATED UNIT BUT HAS NOT RECALLED THE OLD FAULTY ONES. IF THIS WASN'T A FAULTY PART THEN WHY REPLACE IT WITH AN "UPDATED" ONE. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND I FEEL GM NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND FIX THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE IS BADLY INJURED OR KILLED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT EMITTED HOT AIR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT AN ELBOW HOSE WAS LEAKING FLUID. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000. *TT
WHEN I AM BRAKING FREQUENTLY AT LOWER SPEEDS (EXAMPLE: IN LINE AT A DRIVE THRU) MY BRAKES GET HARDER AND HARDER TO PRESS UNTIL EVENTUALLY I CANNOT PRESS THEM AT ALL. I HAVE TO PUT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK, TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND CRANK IT AGAIN. ONLY THEN DOES IT WORK. HOWEVER, THE ISSUE COMES RIGHT BACK. APPARENTLY, MANY OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING IT. THIS COULD BE DEADLY. OTHERS HAVE GOTTEN INTO ACCIDENTS BECAUSE IT HAPPENED AT HIGH SPEEDS. THERE IS EVEN A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE. TSB #PIT5361B
DRIVING FROM OHIO TO FLORIDA ON AUGUST 4, 2018. THE LAST 200-300 MILES THE BRAKES WORKED FINE DURING HIGHWAY DRIVING. WHEN I WOULD GET IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC - STOP AT A LIGHT, GOING THROUGH A DRIVE-THRU, GAS STATION STOP, ETC. - THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD BE VERY HARD TO PUSH, HAD TO USE ALL MY STRENGTH TO STOP VEHICLE AND IT WOULD STILL SLIGHTLY ROLL. HAD TO CONTACT CHEVY DEALER IN KISSIMEE, FLORIDA TO CHECK OUT PROBLEM AND THEY DIAGNOSED BRAKE BOOSTER AND VACUUM PUMP FAILED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED.
LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE VEHICLE WHILE AT SLOW SPEED. TRUCK SHOWS MULTIPLE WARNINGS, I.E. STABLITRAK, REDUCE STEERING, WINDOW, ETC. TEMPORARY LOSS OF STEERING WHILE DRIVING; WHEEL TIGHTENS UP AND/OR JERKS HARD. VEH ENGINE REMAINS ON DURING MOST OCCURRENCES BUT OTHER TIMES, ENGINE SHUTS DOWN COMPLETELY. CAUSE; 218 GROUND WIRE BECOMES LOOSE AND NUT COMES COMPLETELY OFF POST (SEE PICS). SOLUTION: REINSTALL 218 GROUND WIRE TO POST.
THE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER HAS A SMALL LEAK CAUSING THE REFRIGERANT TO LEAK OUT. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH ALL GM SILVERADOS 2014-2017 AND A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED. THEY ARE ALL LEAKING IN THE SAME PLACE DUE TO A FAULTY WELD FROM THE FACTORY. THIS IS A $1200 REPAIR.
MY SILVERADO FREQUENTLY "SHUTS OFF" WHEN I AM MAKING TURNS. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS - THE LATEST TIME I WAS PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND THE ENGINE AND ALL ELECTRICAL PARTS TURN OFF. I WAS NEARLY HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE AND MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER SAID THEY HAVE "FIXED IT". I KEEP BRINGING THE TRUCK BACK TO THEM, BUT THEY WON'T ATTEMPT TO FIX IT AGAIN CITING LEMON LAWS BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GET THE TRUCK TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED AND AT THIS POINT CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN AND MYSELF AS I DRIVE.
WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND CAR HAD TO SLAM ON ITS BRAKES SO IT WOULDN'T HIT ME. THEN IT WAS SLUGGISH AND SLIPPING ON MY 30 MINUTE DRIVE TO WORK ON INTERSTATE 81. ON THE WAY HOME IT STARTED TO GET WORSE AND MAKING AN AWFUL HUMMING SOUND OUT OF THE TRANSMISSION. I'VE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM AND EVERYONE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH GMC AND CHEVY 1500 TRUCKS FROM 2014 TO 2017. I CHECK THE FLUIDS EVERY WEEK AND THERE ARE ALWAYS GOOD. IT JUST SEEMS THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL IF EVERYONE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THANK YOU.
VEHICLE WONT START, BATTERY IS FINE, AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WENT HAYWIRE, SAYS TO SERVICE EACH SYSTEM SEPERATELY WHEN TRYING TO START. ALL PASSENGER DOORS STOPPED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING WITH KEY FOBS AND WITH DOOR BUTTONS AS WELL. COMPLETELY STRANDED WITHOUT A VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, FORTUNANTLY.
BRAKES ON MY TRUCK HAVE FAILED AT LOW SPEED WHILE PARKING. AFTER ONLY 3-4 TIMES OF LIGHTLY PUMPING THE BRAKES THEY COMPLETELY GO HARD AND THE PEDDLE WILL NOT MOVE. NO MATTER WHAT AMOUNT OF PRESSURE IS APPLIED THE TRUCK WILL NOT STOP. SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN IN REVERSE THE MOST. BRAKE PADS, FLUIDS, ETC ARE ALL PERFECT. PROBLEM DOESN'T HAPPEN AT ALL WHEN DRIVING AT SPEED. ONLY OCCURRED AT LOW SPEED. DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT'S PROBABLY THE VACUUM FAILING... HAVE FOUND THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINS DESCRIBING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM ON TRUCKS
THE RADIATOR IS LEAKING COOLANT, AND THERE IS A NEED TO FILL IT UP PERIODICALLY TO PREVENT OVERHEATING. THIS IS OCCURS WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, BUT IS ONLY NOTICEABLE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND COOLANT DRIPS ONTO THE GROUND.
MY TRUCK HAS BEEN MAKING A SUDDEN, MOMENTARY GRINDING OR ZIPPER SOUND, USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN I ACCELERATE HARD. IT DOESN'T DO IT ALL THE TIME, ONLY SPORADICALLY BUT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING MORE OFTEN AND AT LOWER RATES OF SPEED NOW. WHEN IT BEGAN, I WAS USUALLY DOING AROUND 70 MPH, BUT HAS STARTED TO DO IT AROUND 55 MPH AND THEN TODAY IT DID IT AT AROUND 40 MPH. I HAVE BROUGHT IT IN TWICE, BUT THEY COULDN'T WORK ON IT BECAUSE THE TRUCK NEVER MADE THE NOISE WHILE THE MECHANIC WAS WITH ME.

NEXT, THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. ALSO, THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE DEPRESSED WITH FORCE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND AN UNKNOWN DEALER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT HEARD A THUMP SOUND AND THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) FAILED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GREAT RIVER CHEVROLET GMC (264 DEVEREUX DR, NATCHEZ, MS 39120). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND KEPT FOR A MONTH. THE CONTACT PAID TO HAVE THE RACK AND PINION REPLACED. THE CONTACT REQUESTED THE USED RACK AND PINION, BUT THE DEALER WOULD NOT GIVE HIM THE PART. THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS EVEN THOUGH HE HAD A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V414000 (STEERING). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE RACK AND PINION WAS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL AND CHARGED THE CONTACT FOR THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE JUNE OF 2018. I CURRENTLY HAVE 6+ PAIN CHIPS ON THE TRUCK AND IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE. I DO NOT TAKE THE TRUCK THROUGH AUTOMATIC CAR WASHES AND I KEEP THE TRUCK IN A GARAGE. I HAVE SEEN OTHER CHEVY SILVERADO OWNERS WITH THE EXACT ISSUE. I DO NOT FEEL WE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THESE DAMAGES AS ITS A DEFECT TO THEIR PAINT JOB.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND STABILITRAK TURNS OFF WHILE MAKING LOW SPEED MANEUVERS. TRUCK OCCASIONALLY SHUTS OFF AND WILL NEED TO BE RESTARTED.
SERVICE 4WD NOTIFICATION TURNED ON. 2 DAYS LATER, THE VEHICLE IS LOCKED IN 4WD, MAKING REVERSING AND TURNING DIFFICULT. REDUCED TURNING RADIUS AS A RESULT. SOUND OF GRINDING WHEN TURNING. SENSATION OF TIRES GRIPPING OVERLY HARD. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE AN ELECTRICAL RECALL WAS JUST DONE A MONTH PRIOR. THEY SAID THE TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE AND ACTUATOR MOTOR WERE FAULTY. THE ALIGNMENT, WHICH HAD BEEN JUST TUNED LESS THAN A MONTH PRIOR, WAS ALSO FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REDONE. THESE ITEMS WERE REPLACED AT A COST OF $1,184.37.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH AC ON, WHEN I ATTEMPT TO USE ADDITIONAL ELECTRONICS (RADIO, BLINKER TO CHANGE LANES, CRUISE CONTROL, BRAKES (BRAKE LIGHTS), THE ELECTRONICS FLICKER, STABILITY ALL RESETS, CRUISE CONTROL WILL SHUT OFF AND THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM ALMOST SHUTS OFF.
I WAS BACKING UP TO MY DRIVEWAY WHEN THE CHIME STARTED TO SOUND OFF AND THE STEERING WHEEL FROZE IT WOULDN'T TURN ,TIL I STOP AND PULLED UP THEN IT TURN IT WAS ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET I'M GLAD I WASN'T ON THE HIGHWAY

AT LOW SPEEDS SUCH AS IN PARKING LOTS, ESPECIALLY AFTER REVERSING OR TURNING THE VEHICLE WILL OCCASIONALLY EXPERIENCE THE FOLLOWING ISSUE: DISPLAY WILL SAY THAT STABILITRACK IS ON, ADVISE THAT POWER STEERING IS REDUCED. THE AIR CONDITIONING, RADIO AND OTHER ELECTRIC SYSTEMS WILL THEN SHUT OFF. POWER STEERING IS CUT OFF ALONG WITH BRAKE PRESSURE. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS THE ENGINE HAS ALSO SHUT OFF REQUIRING THE VEHICLE TO BE PUT INTO PARK OR NEUTRAL TO RESTART THE ENGINE. IF THIS OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY IT WOULD CERTAINLY CAUSE A MAJOR INCIDENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE PULLING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY, THE STEERING WHEEL LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SUN CHEVROLET DEALER (2939 WASHINGTON RD, MCMURRAY, PA 15317, 724-655-4331) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO COVER SIXTY PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT ABOUT 50MPH WHEN A STABILITRAK MESSAGE CAME UP. AFTER IT CAME UP THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN FOR A COUPLE SECONDS. I LOST ALL STEERING AND BRAKING DURING THIS TIME AS IF THE IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF. THIS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF TIMES. WHEN I GOT TO MY DESTINATION THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN BEFORE I COULD PUT IT INTO PARK AND TURN THE IGNITION OFF. IT IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DOING THIS WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
I BELIEVE MY TRUCK HAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN THE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER. MY AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING AND NOW ONLY BLOWS WARM AIR. I WAS DRIVING WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
TWICE IN THE LAST THREE DAYS THE BRAKES ON MY TRUCK HAVE FAILED AT LOW SPEED WHILE PARKING. AFTER ONLY 3-4 TIMES OF LIGHTLY PUMPING THE BRAKES THEY COMPLETELY GO HARD AND THE PEDDLE WILL NOT MOVE. PROBLEM DOESN'T HAPPEN AT ALL WHEN DRIVING AT SPEED. ONLY OCCURRED AT LOW SPEED. DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT'S PROBABLY THE VACUUM FAILING... HAVE FOUND THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINS DESCRIBING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM ON TRUCKS WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES ON AVERAGE.
VACUUM PUMP FAILING WHILE BRAKING, TRUCK NOT STOPPING NORMAL, BUT "SLOWLY ROLLING" TO A STOP.
THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ABRUPTLY WENT OUT AS PER ILLUMINATION ON THE DASH. THE RADIO, A/C, AND INSIDE LIGHTS WENT OFF TOO. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE RECALL 17V-414 STATES. AFTER CALLING GM, I FOUND OUT THIS RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON 11/2017 BY THE PRIOR OWNER( I PURCHASED TRUCK IN APRIL 2018). DESPITE THE RECALL BEING DONE, THE TRUCK IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. GM STATED THAT THE RECALL HAS BEEN CLOSED AND THEY WOULD ONLY PAY FOR THE PART NOT THE LABOR! THERE IS NO PART-IT'S A SOFTWARE UODATE/REBOOT. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THIS EFFECTS THE STEERING OF THE TRUCK. THIS COULD CAUSE ME TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HAVE A WRECK. OBVIOUSLY, THE INITIAL REPAIR DID NOT TAKE. IT IS UNFATHOMABLE THAT I AM TO BE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR A RECALL THAT WAS NOT PROPERLY DONE THE FIRST TIME.
2014 1500 LTZ ALMOST KILLED MYSELF SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST WEEK. LIGHTS BEGIN TO FLICKER AND THAT'S THE FIRST WARNING SIGN TO WATCH FOR. STEERING ASSIST SHUTS DOWN AND TRUCK STALLS IF TURN CONTINUES AT LOW SPEED. SHUT DOWN HAS HAPPENED VARIOUS TIMES NOW PUTTING THROUGH A DRIVE THRU. VEHICLE ALSO SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AT 75MPH

THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SANDS CHEVROLET OF GLENDALE (5418 GRAND AVE, GLENDALE, AZ 85301) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

THERE ARE 2 CONSCERNS I HAVE THERE IS A VIBRATION SO BAD IT WILL SPILLL A COFFEE IN THE CUP HOLDERS WHEN I AM ON THE HIGHWAY AT CRUISING SPEED AND PASSING SPEED UP TO 80 MPH AND MY SECOND ISSUE WILL HAPPEN DURING CITY DRIVING WHERE I WILL STEP ON THE GAS AND THE TRUCK LUNGES FORWARD MAKING ME HIT THE BRAKES SO I DON'T HIT ANOTHER CAR I HAVE HAD MY TIRES BALANCED AND HAD THE TRUCK IN THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES AND GOT DIFFERENT TIRES TO TRY AND FIX THE VIBRATION AND NOTHING WORKED AND I'VE THAD THE TRUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE BUT THEY SAID 'IT'S NORMAL'

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH CASE NUMBER: 8-45-0947295. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V414000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER WAS NOT ENGINEERED TO A REASONABLE QUALITY SPECIFICATION. THIS CONDITION CAUSED IT TO CRACK AND ALLOW THE FREON TO LEAK OUT. I REPLACED THE CONDENSER AND RECIEVER DRYER (SINCE THE SYSTEM WAS UNPRESSURIZED) AND THEN PAY A PROFESSIONAL TO EVACUATE THE SYSTEM AND RECHARGE IT. I WORK WITH ANOTHER OWNER OF A 2014 SILVERADO. HE HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THAT'S WHAT PROMPTED MY TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL. I ALSO SAW A BRIEF SEGMENT ON CHICAGO NBC NEWS (YOUTUBE) ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. GENERAL MOTORS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY YET. PLEASE HELP!
THE PAINT ON MY TRUCK IS PEALING OFF. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHEVROLET AND THEY INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM. CHEVROLET DETERMINED THAT IT WAS A FACTORY DEFECT BUT SINCE THE TRUCK HAD 69000 MILES ON IT AND WAS OUT OF THE FACTORY WARRANTY THEY WOULD NOT FIX THE PAINT. I FEEL SINCE IT WAS DETERMINED A FACTORY DEFECT THEY SHOULD PAY FOR THE REPAIRS.
THE AC STOPPED WORKING. ALL IS DOES IS BLOW HOT AIR. AFTER RESEARCH THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS VECHILE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 81,742.
WHEN TURNING AT LOW SPEEDS THE TRUCK SHUTS OFF AND THE STEERING LOCKS WITH NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AT OTHER TIMES THE STEERING WHEEL TURNS SIDE TO SIDE WILDLY WITH NO DRIVER INPUT . I AM AWARE OF THE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE AND HAVE HAD THE TRUCK AT A DEALERSHIP TWICE BUT THE ISSUE KEEPS COMING BACK. MY TRUCK HAS 42000 MILES AND IS WELL TAKEN CARE OF BUT IT IS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE, PLEASE HELP AS I KNOW THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED ISSUE, THANKS.
