TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE SERVICE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULTIPLE DEALERS WHO WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TODAY, AT 1:00 PM , A SUNNY DAY @ 80 DEGREES, I ENTERED THE TRUCK AND SHUT THE DOOR. AS I DID SO, THE REAR DOOR DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW SHATTERED AFTER BULGING OUTWARD AS WITNESSED BY MY NEIGHBOR. THE MINUTE I SHUT THE DOOR THE WINDOW BULGED OUTWARD AND SHATTERED! I CALLED THE DEALER AND ASKED IF IT WAS COVERED, AS IT ONLY HAD A THOUSAND MILES ON IT AND THEY HAVEN'T CALLED BACK SO I GUESS NOT. COST OF A NEW WINDOW IS 82 BUCKS ON EBAY! ALL THE WARRANTIES I BOUGHT WITH THE CAR DO NOT COVER THE SIDE OR BACK WINDOWS. I WONDER IF THEY SHOULD COVER THIS ISSUE, BUT I HIGHLY SUGGEST ALL NEW TRUCK OWNERS OF CHEVY SILVERADOS KEEP THE WINDOW OPEN A CRACK AFTER BUYING A VISOR. NOTE: I JUST GOT A CALL BACK FROM THE DEALER AND THEY WANT THE WINDOW PEEVES FOR AN INVESTIGATION. I SWEPT THEM UP AND PUT THEM IN THE TRASH! OOPS! I WILL BRING THEM UP ANYWAY AND TAKE IT FROM THERE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. WHEN DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED IN A STRONG MANNER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES AND TORQUE CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIRS WERE MADE, BUT THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIBRATION WAS FROM THE DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. AFTER THE VEHICLE HAD AN OIL CHANGE, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT OIL LEAKED FROM THE OIL FILTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REPLACEMENT OIL FILTER PF63E HAD BEEN INSTALLED. THE ORIGINAL PF63 OIL FILTER WAS INSTALLED AND NO LEAKING WAS PRESENT. AFTER HAVING THE REPLACEMENT FILTER PF63E INSTALLED AGAIN, OIL CONTINUED TO LEAK FROM THE OIL FILTER. THE MANUFACTURER'S REPLACEMENT OIL FILTER (PF63E) EXPERIENCED THE FAILURES ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, BUT THE ORIGINAL PART HAD NOT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, BRAKE ASSIST, STIBILATRAC AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE BRAKES WOULD ERRONEOUSLY ACTIVATE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SUDDENLY STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT MOISTURE WAS PRESENT IN THE BRAKES SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO REPLACED THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER AND CHASSIS HARNESS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,316.
VEHICLE SHAKES AT 62 MPH VERY BAD
AFTER DRIVING FOR SEVERAL HR. IN RAIN WIPER MOTER STOP WHEN START OUT TRANS SLIPS AND GRABS SO HARD ITS LIKE REAR END IS GOING OUT IT LIKE BEING HIT IT SO HARD SEVERAL TIMES I THOUGHT I WAS HIT THE TIME ON RADIO WONT STAY ON THEY TRIED TO FIX IT SEVERAL TIMES BUT COULD NOT FINELY THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL FOR THAT RADIO. TOOK IT TO CHEVROLET SEVERAL TIMES COULD NOT FIND ANY THING WRONG.
THE VEHICLE IGNITION TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING (VEHICLE IN MOTION) CAUSING THE POWER STEERING TO FAIL. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN THE PAST 3 WEEKS. GM DOES NOT LIST THIS MODEL AS PART OF ITS RECALL AND WHEN I CONTACTED GM THEY RECOMMENDED TAKING IT TO A DEALER AND HAVING IT REPAIRED AT MY EXPENSE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A DEER ON THE HIGHWAY. THE FRONT AND REAR AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
PURCHASED NEW FROM DEALER, I HAVE ALREADY HAD IT IN FOR CORROSION AT THREE MONTHS, 8+ RECALLS. NOW IT WON'T SHIFT CORRECTLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN (STOPLIGHT) AND THEN TAKING OFF AGAIN. IT IDLES ROUGH ALL THE TIME AND EVEN DIES AT TAKE-OFFS UNLESS I CAN FINAGLE THE GAS PEDAL JUST RIGHT. I TOOK IT IN TO A GREAT DEALERSHIP, THEY ACKNOWLEDGE IT IDLES ROUGH, HOWEVER, THEY SAID GM SAID THAT IS NORMAL. THE CORROSION STARTED AT MONTH 3, AND PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE. I TOOK IT BACK IN FOR THE CORRSION AND GM TOLD THE DEALSHIP I AM ON MY OWN TO PAY FOR THE (SAME LOCATION) CORRSION REPAIR, AS THE WARRANTY WAS UP (36,500 MILES).
VEHICLE VIBRATES AT 72-80 MPH. HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES WITH NO POSITIVE RESULTS. THEY RF BALANCED ALL TIRES TWICE, REPLACED ONE TIRE, AND ON THE LAST VISIT DROVE IT 95 MILES AND DID NOTHING. CURRENTLY DEALING WITH GM CUSTOMER CARE REP AND DEALERSHIP. IF THEY CANNOT FIND A FIX, I WILL REQUEST THEY BUY THE VEHICLE BACK.
THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY TO THE DRIVER AND SIGNIFICANT, IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE RESULTING IN A TOTAL LOSS. AT NO TIME DID THE AIRBAGS WITHIN THE VEHICLE DEPLOY, WHICH FURTHER CONTRIBUTED TO THE INJURY OF THE DRIVER. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS MY TRUCK LOST IT'S POWER STEERING. AN ALERT POPPED UP TO DRIVE WITH CAUTION SERVICE POWER STEERING. IT TOOK ALL THE STRENGTH I HAD TO KEEP MY TRUCK ON THE ROAD AS THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED AS I WAS APPROACHING A CURVE IN THE ROAD. THERE WAS NO WARNING JUST INSTANT LOSS OF STEERING. I HAD MY WHOLE FAMILY WITH ME. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE NOW. I HAVE READ ONLINE IN MULTIPLE FORUMS THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH QUITE A GREAT FREQUENCY IN 2014 SILVERADOS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING, VEHICLE WOULD QUIT PULLING, AS IF IN NEUTRAL. HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ON MAY 10,2015. NO WARNING BEFORE LOSING POWER TO WHEELS AND NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON THE DASH.ENGINE WAS RUNNING NORMAL BEFORE AND AFTER LOSING POWER TO THE WHEELS. I THINK THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM IF YOU WERE PULLING OUT IN TRAFFIC AND LOSS ALL POWER TO THE DRIVE. I NOW FEEL UNSAFE DURING THE VEHICLE OR TAKING IT ON TRIPS. I THINK YOU SHOULD PUT A REDALL ON THIS VEHICLE S DRIVE TRAIN, COMPUTER AND TRANSMISSION BEFORE PEOPLE ARE KILLED FROM THIS PROBLEM. *TR
RANDOM WINDSHIELD CRACKING, ITS 15 F HERE COLD YES.... DROVE TRUCK TO GAS STATION, GOT BACK IN TRUCK, USED THE WINDSHIELD WASHER AND WATCHED IN AWE AS THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED FROM WIPER BLADES AREA. HORZ. CRACK AROUND 4 FEET LONG, IMMED. TOOK TO MUNCIE CHEVY DEALER, SAID NOT GM PROBLEM....................... THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE...................... *JS
DRIVING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT WHEN I NOTICED A LOSS OF POWER. I LOOKED DOWN AT THE DASHBOARD AND SAW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. AFTER CALLING THE DEALER, I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE BACK HOME. THE TRUCK WOULDN'T GO PAST SECOND GEAR. I EVEN TRIED PUTTING IT ON MANUAL AND SHIFTING MYSELF. EVEN THOUGH THE LEVER WAS ON M, THE M ITSELF DID NOT LIGHT UP AND THE + - BUTTONS DID NOT WORK. THANKFULLY I MADE IT HOME WITH THE HAZARDS ON. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE THE FIRST TIME. NOW THEY ARE SAYING IT'S THE SPEED SENSORS. *JS
"CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT TURNED ON WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY. I PULLED OFF THE EXIT RAMP AND CAME TO A RED LIGHT. WHEN IT TURNED GREEN, I STEPPED ON THE GAS AND THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO POWER. I PULLED INTO THE CLOSEST PARKING LOT AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES. TURNED IT ON AGAIN AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. I PUT THE TRUCK IN REVERSE AND THE POWER WAS BACK TO NORMAL. I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND PULLED UP TO THE STOP SIGN WITHOUT INCIDENT. UPON MAKING A RIGHT TURN, I NOTICED THE RPMS WERE UNUSUALLY HIGH AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT SHIFTING HIGHER THAN MAYBE 2ND GEAR. I PULLED INTO THE CLOSEST PARKING LOT AGAIN AND CALLED CHEVROLET TOW SERVICES AND THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE TRUCK AS NEW WITH 450 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT REACHED OVER TO TURN THE HEAT OFF AND THE VEHICLE WENT OFF THE ROAD, DOWN A HILL, AND INTO A DITCH. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED ON UNTIL IT CRASHED INTO A CABLE THAT WAS CONNECTED TO A TELEPHONE POLE. THE TELEPHONE POLE SPLIT IN HALF. THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE CONTACT AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO HIS BACK, KNEE, AND HIP THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A LOT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,956.

THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE FOLLOWING DEALERS: COOPER CHEVROLET IN ANNISTON, AL (256-236-4481) AND BUSTER MILES CHEVROLET IN HEFLIN, AL (256-781-4536). BOTH DEALERS WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE DURING THE FIRST VISITS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK A SECOND TIME TO BUSTER MILES CHEVROLET WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH LOSS OF STEERING POWER ASSIST, TRACTION CONTROL, AND STABILITRAK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND REFERRED THE CONTACT BACK TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO BUSTER MILES CHEVROLET, BUT THE FAILURES WERE NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,956.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT IT WAS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THAT THE REMEDY WAS NOT WORKED OUT YET. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS LESS THAN 3,000. SINCE ABOUT 15000-18000 MILES THIS TRUCK VIBRATES AT MOST SPEEDS, MOST NOTICEABLE AT 65 MPH AND OVER. IT IS AT THE DEALER FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE FIRST TIME ALL THEY DID WAS BALANCE THE TIRES, BUT THE PROBLEM DIDN'T GO AWAY. THE DEALER IS STILL SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS ON THIS. THE LOANER 2015 I HAVE IS WORSE AND VIBRATES AT ALL SPEEDS.....
MY SILVERADO DOESN'T HAVE CHILD DOOR LOCKS, AND EVEN WHEN THE DOORS ARE LOCKED, IF YOU PULL THE HANDLE TWICE IT OPENS THE DOOR. MY TWO YEAR OLD OPENED THE DOOR ON THE HIGHWAY AND SCARED US SO BAD WE NEARLY WRECKED. NOW HIS CAR SEAT IS IN THE MIDDLE BUT THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE DESIGN. *TR
I BACKED MY TRUCK OUT OF THE GARAGE AND PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. I PUT IN PARK AND HAD MY KEYS IN MY HAND. I WENT TO WALK BACK INSIDE THE HOUSE WHEN I TURNED AROUND AND SAW MY TRUCK ROLLING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. I STOPPED IT AND PULLED BACK UP IN THE DRIVEWAY AND PUT IN PARK AGAIN JUST FOR IT ROLL BACK DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. AFTER I COUPLE TIMES OF REPEATING THIS THE TRANSMISSION FINALLY ENGAGED INTO PARK. *TR

UNFORTUNATELY, I REARENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THANKFULLY I HAD NOT GOTTEN UP TO THE SPEED LIMIT (30MPH) AND WAS ONLY GOING 20MPH. MY TRUCK WOULD NOT BRAKE QUICKLY. NO SCREECHING TIRES, NO BLACK MARKS ON THE ROAD. THE STOP WAS SO SLOW THAT I HAD TIME TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND ONLY DAMAGE PART OF MY FRONT END. THE GRILL, BUMPER, AND HOOD WERE SMASHED IN. THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT TIRE ALERTED IT WAS LOW ON AIR. STOPPED AND CHECKED AIR PRESSURE BUT IT WAS OK. I RETURNED HOME AND THE NEXT MORNING THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR TIRE WAS FLAT. SWAPPED THE TIRE WITH THE SPARE AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THE AIR PRESSURE DISPLAY ON THE TRUCK IS REVERSED. THE INDICATOR FOR THE FRONT TIRE IS SHOWING THE REAR TIRE. THE REAR TIRE IS SHOWING THE PRESSURE FOR THE FRONT TIRE. THEY ARE FIXING IT NOW, NOT SURE OF THE TROUBLE YET. *TR

I WAS TRAVELING UP AN INCLINE WHEN VEHICLE STARTED JUMPING. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AS WELL AS STABILITY OR SKID CONTROL AND WHEN TURNING ON TURN SIGNAL THE WIPERS CAME ON. DID NOT FEEL SAFE BUT DROVE TO NEAREST DEALERSHIP WITH VEHICLE JUMPING AND MISSING OUT, ABOUT 4 BLOCKS. DIAGNOSES WAS FAULTY FUEL INJECTOR AT 4577 MILES ON VEHICLE. AFTER PICKING UP VEHICLE WHEN REPAIR WAS DONE IT MISSED OUT AGAIN BUT NO ENGINE LIGHT. DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. HOPE THIS ISN'T GOING TO BE ONGOING ISSUE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING, THE DRIVER'S SEAT BECAME UNLATCHED AND MOVED FORWARD INDEPENDENTLY CAUSING THE CONTACT TO BE THROWN AGAINST THE STEERING WHEEL. HAVE NEW 2014 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 4X4 5.3 ENGINE. IN JANUARY I WENT TO GET IN MY TRUCK TO GO TO WORK AND THERE WAS A SERVICE POWER STEERING WARNING. I THEN NOTICED I HAD NO POWER STEERING.(4000 MILE) THEY TOWED MY TRUCK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY REBOOTED THE COMPUTER AND IT WAS OK NOW. IT WAS OK. I AM CONCERNED OF THIS TRUCK LOOSING POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING IT THE MOUNTAINS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER PARKING AND EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE ROLLED DOWN A HILL AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTED FROM PARK TO NEUTRAL INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V374000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.

PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT MY TRUCK HAD 6 RECALLS. ALMOST ALL OF THE RECALLS HAVE BEEN FOR ?SOFTWARE? ISSUES. THE LATEST PROBLEM IS WHAT I AM WRITING TO YOU ABOUT AND I BELIEVE IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND IF IT HAPPENS TO SOMEONE WHO IS NOT PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF HANDLING IT, IT COULD EASILY BE FATAL TO ONE OR MORE INDIVIDUALS. WHAT HAPPENED TO ME IS AS FOLLOWS: THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS EVE I DROVE TO THE LOCAL SUPERMARKET TO PICK UP SOME LAST MINUTE STUFF AND AFTER LEAVING THE STORE I PULLED OUT ONTO A BUSY 4 LANE HIGHWAY AND BEGAN TO TURN LEFT. PART WAY INTO THE TURN I HEARD A ?CLUNK? IN THE FRONT ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND IMMEDIATELY THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS WRENCHED OUT OF MY HANDS AND I WAS FORCED TO BRAKE SHARPLY. I WAS, OBVIOUSLY TAKEN BY SURPRISE BY THE INCIDENT AND GRABBED THE WHEEL WITH BOTH HANDS AND WRESTLED THE 6,000 LB TRUCK AROUND THE TURN, RUNNING OVER THE CURB ON THE FAR SIDE OF THE ROAD. I AM A REASONABLY FIT 6?4? 225 LB MALE AND I MUST TELL YOU THAT IT WAS ALL THAT I COULD DO TO TURN THE WHEEL AND PREVENT ME FROM RUNNING STRAIGHT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. MY DEALERSHIP WAS 4 MILES FROM ME AND I WAS ABLE TO NEGOTIATE MY WAY THERE WITHOUT ANY ACCIDENTS OR INJURIES. I GOT THE TRUCK THERE AND TOLD THE SERVICE PEOPLE WHAT HAPPENED AND THEY SAID HAVE A SEAT IN THE WAITING ROOM AND THEY WOULD LOOK AT IT. 25 MINUTES LATER A REP CAME OUT AND SAID IT WAS FIXED. ANOTHER SOFTWARE ADJUSTMENT WAS MADE. YESTERDAY, JAN 5 THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AND THIS TIME I ALMOST HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. ONCE AGAIN I WAS CLOSE TO MY DEALER AND WAS ABLE TO DROP THE TRUCK OFF IN THEIR LOT. THEY ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAY SO I CALLED THEM TODAY AND I AM WAITING FOR THEM TO ?FIX? IT AGAIN. THE ABOVE STATED VEHICLE WAS SOLD TO ME, AND I WAS ALLOWED TO LEAVE WITH THIS VEHICLE BEFORE A RECALL THAT HAD BEEN ISSUED JUNE 26 2014 HAD BEEN REMEDIED. ( SALE AND DELIVERY OF AN UNREMEDIED RECALLED VEHICLE). UPON REPORTING TO THE SALESMAN ABOUT THE RECALL, HE AND HIS SALESMANAGER STATED TO ME THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. I CHECKED WITH THE NTHSA FOUND THE RECALL AND HAD IT FIXED MAY 5, 2015. AFTER ASKING THE SALESMAN WHY MY VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN FIXED DURING THE 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE SALE OF THE VEHICLE TO ME, HIS ANSWER WAS THAT THE VEHICLE HAD PREVIOUSLY SOLD IN JULY OF 2014. THE BUYER HAD THE TRUCK FOR 7 DAYS AND COULD NOT AQUIRE FINANCING AND THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED. HENCE THIS ONE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SOLD AND ALLOWED TO LEAVE THEIR LOT TWICE WITHOUT THE RECALL BEING FIXED. THE DEALER IS NORMAN FREDE CHEVROLET IN HOUSTON TX.

I ASKED THE SALESMAN WHY MY VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN FIXED DURING THE 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE SELL TO ME, HIS REPLY WAS THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN SOLD IN JULY OF 2014 AND THAT THE BUYER HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 7 DAYS AND RETURNED IT FOR LACK OF FUNDS. THAT MEANS THEY SOLD THIS VEHICLE TWICE WHILE THE RECALL WAS UNREMEDIED.

MY SERVICE LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY GOING OFF FOR "TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM". IT HAS BEEN DOING IT FOR QUITE SOME TIME. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES TO BE LOOKED AT WITH NO LUCK. TODAY I DROVE IT ABOUT 20 MILES AND IT MUST HAVE CHIMED ABOUT 30 TIMES. IT IS A CONSTANT DISTRACTION WHEN I'M DRIVING NOT TO MENTION VERY IRRITATING. IT DOES IT IN PARK, IN DRIVE, DRY AND WET WEATHER.

THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS NOT BALANCED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED SHORTLY AFTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT ABOUT 45 MPH WHEN MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY JUMPED OUT OF GEAR INTO NEUTRAL. AFTER ABOUT 20 SECONDS IT WENT BACK INTO GEAR. *TR

THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED HOWEVER, THREE MINUTES LATER THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED A SECOND TIME WITHOUT WARNING. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE CONTACT SUSTAINED ANY INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
PURCHASED A NEW 1500 IN MAY OF 2014 AND A FEW MONTHS LATER NOTICED THE ENGINE HAS A RANDOM MISS BOTH WHILE DRIVING AS WELL AS AT IDLE. WILL EXPERIENCE A SIGNIFICANT JERK AND WILL ALSO HESITATE TO PICK UP SPEED SHORTLY AFTER EXPERIENCING THE JERK. I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO CHEVROLET ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, BUT ONLY HAVE 4 INVOICES (FROM 11/20/14-8/26/15) WITH THE COMPLAINT LISTED. EACH TIME CHEVROLET STATED NO PROBLEM FOUND OR PRESENT EXCEPT FOR THE MOST RECENT INVOICE DATED AUG. 26, 2015 IN WHICH AFTER CHEVROLET SERVICE MANAGER BECAME INVOLVED BECAUSE I COMPLAINED ABOUT AN UNRESOLVED ISSUE, HE DID STATE THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOTICED BY A "SENIOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN" AND SINCE NO CODE WAS PRESENT TO DIAGNOSE OR CORRECT THE PROBLEM, GM WAS CONTACTED. WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT GM STATED "THEY ARE AWARE OF THE CONCERN BUT AS YET HAVE NOT FORMULATED A REPAIR." I AM PRESENTLY STILL EXPERIENCING THE ISSUE, BUT SINCE GM HAS NOT "FORMULATED A REPAIR" FOR AN ISSUE THAT THEY ARE UNSURE OF THE CAUSE AND IN WHICH THEY FEEL "IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE" I AM DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT COULD STALL AT ANY GIVEN TIME. BE SURE EACH COMPLAINT IS DOCUMENTED VIA INVOICE NUMBER AND MAKE SURE WHAT YOU ARE TOLD VIA PHONE AND OR IN PERSON IS WHAT IS STATED ON THE INVOICE.

TIRE WAS A BRIDGESTONE H/L 684 II THAT CAME ON TRUCK AT TIME OF PURCHASE FROM CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. OF COURSE TIRES ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL INJECTOR SEALS HAD FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 950.
I OWN A 2014 CHEVY Z71 THAT HAD A SHERROD LIFT PACKAGE INSTALLED AT THERE FACTORY AND I HAVE BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALER FOR EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR AND THE SECOND TIME IT WAS IN THE DEALER DISCOVERED THAT ALL 4 BRAKE LINES WERE ABOUT TO BURST DUE TO EXCESSIVE WEAR AND INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE LIFT. MY CONCERN IS THERE ARE ALOT OF THESE TRUCKS ON THE MARKET AND HAD I DROVE IT ANOTHER WEEK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FATAL FOR ME OR SOMEONE I HIT DUE TO BRAKE FAILURE. I FEEL THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO ADDRESSED DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE ISSUE. THE DEALER DEADLINED MY VEHICLE DUE TO A MAJOR SAFETY FACTOR AND CONTACTED SHERROD. AS OF YET I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM SHERROD ABOUT THE REPAIR. ITS THE THOUSANDS OF OTHER DRIVERS OF THESE VEHICLES I AM CONCERNED ABOUT. IF THE ONE I OWNED WAS DONE INCORRECTLY BUT TO SPECS ACCORDING TO SHERROD THAN IN 7000 MILES IF MINE WERE WITHIN DAYS OF BURSTING THAN SO ARE THERES.
