The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at speeds under 30 mph, the vehicle loss motive power without warning. Additionally, while turning the steering wheel in either direction, the failure recurred without warning. While attempting to restart the vehicle, the message "roll down the window; then roll the wind back up" was displayed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 97,000.
Having issues where steering will lock up while driving at slow speeds. Air conditioner will stop radio will go out will get a message about stabalink and driving assist may have stopped. Will be like this for a few minutes and then I get control again. Also while driving on the highway I notice this to
CABLE ATTACHING DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT BROKE
VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. ALSO POWER STEERING WILL COME ON AND OFF DURING TURNS. HAPPENS OFTEN. THEN A MESSEGE POPS UP ON DASH TO LOWER THAN PUT UP DRIVE SIDE WINDOW. THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT ANY WARNING.
VEHICLE STARTS TO SHAKE WHEN DRIVEN ABOVE 70MPH. IF BRAKES ARE APPLIED TO REDUCE SPEEDS FROM 75-70 THE SHAKING SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASES, BUT DECREASES TO THE NORMAL SHAKING ONCE THE BRAKES ARE RELEASED.
MY TRUCK HAS A VIBRATION IN IT AND NO DEALERSHIP KNOWS WHY.
WHEN PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT VEHICLE STEERING FELT JERKY AND THE TRUCK SHUT OFF. ALSO NOTICED A CLUNK WHEN TURNING LEFT AT LOW SPEEDS. EVERYTHING WENT BLANK ON THE RADIO AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. HAD TO RESTART THE TRUCK 2 TIMES TO PULL INTO THE PARKING SPOT.
I CURRENTLY OWN A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO AND HAVE IT IN SHE SHOP BECAUSE THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS BLOWING OUT HOT AIR. UPON THE DEALER INSPECTION THEY DETERMINED A HOLE TO BE IN THE CONDENSER BY THE RADIATOR CAUSING A BIG LEAK.
RADIATOR IS LEAKING ON PASSENGER SIDE. CAUSES COOLING SYSTEM TO FAIL AND ALSO CAUSES COOLING FANS TO RUN EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF.
1) TRANSMISSION WHEN OUT WHILE DRIVING AT 55 ML PER HOUR, TRUCK ONLY HAD 107,000 MILES HAD TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION MORE LIKE A REBUILD TRANSMISSION FROM THE DEALER. 2) MY AIR CONDITIONER WHEN OUT 9 MONTHS LATER AFTER REPLACING TRANSMISSION, THERE WAS A LEAK ON THE A/C CONDENSER, DEALER REPLACE THE CONDENSER TWO YEARS LATER AIR CONDITIONER WHEN OUT A GAIN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM A/C CONDENSER LEAKING THE CONDENSER THAT DEALER REPLACE. THIS'S NOT COMENT AND I THINK GM NEEDS STEP IN TO THE PLATE AND LOOKED IN TO THIS TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER LEAKING REFRIGERAN.
2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 CREW CAB LT. A/C BLOWS HOT AIR A/C CONDENSER IS LEAKING. THIS SEAMS LIKE A COMMON PROBLEM THAT I AND MANY MORE PEOPLE THINK SHOULD BE A RECALL STARTED ON. MY 2014 SIVERODO ONLY HAS 53,000 MILES ON IT AND I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A LOYAL CHEVROLET TRUCK CUSTOMER. THIS VEHICLE IS IN ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION AND HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED OR REPAIRED.
WHEN I TAKE LOW SPEED TURNS, EITHER GOING FORWARD OR BACKWARDS, THE POWER STEERING STARTS GOING IN AND OUT AND THE RADIO WILL TURN OFF. SOMETIME THE WHOLE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF OR JUST TURN OFF THEN RIGHT BACK ON. THE STABILITY TRACK MESSEGE POPS UP ON THE DASH. WHEN THIS HAPPENS MY VEHICLE WILL RESET ITSELF.
VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WILL FAIL WHILE DRIVING, IT MAY FAIL DURING IGNITION, AND IT MAY FAIL IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHUTDOWN. THESE FAILURES ARE CATASTROPHIC. ALL SYSTEMS IN THE VEHICLE FAIL AT ONCE. ALL STEERING AND BRAKING ASSISTANCE, ALL LIGHTS, HVAC, IGNITION, FUEL DELIVERY, ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ARE AFFECTED BY THIS DYSFUNCTION. THIS IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS AS IT CAN AND DOES OCCUR WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY AS WELL AS RESIDENTIAL SPEEDS. ASSOCIATED FAILURES INCLUDE VARIOUS DASH MODULES UNRESPONSIVE OR OFF INTERMITTENTLY, STABILITRAC SERVICE MESSAGE, ACTION NEEDED MESSAGE: ROLL DOWN THEN UP DRIVER WINDOW, EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR LIGHTING INCLUDING HEADLIGHTS FLICKERING AND DIMMING, FROZEN OR GLITCHED OR OTHERWISE UNRESPONSIVE RADIO, STEERING WHEEL FORCEFULLY JERKING WITHOUT INPUT FROM DRIVER OR ROAD, 'TRACTION OFF' INDICATORS. ALL ISSUES ARE SPORADIC, CHRONIC, AND DEBILITATING. VEHICLE HAS DELIVERED STABILITRAK MESSAGES AND MOMENTARILY TRIPPED ALL ELECTRONICS WHILE DRIVING AS WELL. NOT EVERY FAILURE IS COMPLETE, SOME GLITCHES IN THE ELECTRICAL MAY PERSISTENTLY OCCUR UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS, THIS PUTS UN DUE STRAIN ON THE ATTENTION, MINDFULNESS, AND PEACE A DRIVER IS REASONABLY EXPECTED TO ACHIEVE IN ANY VEHICLE. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN A PRECURSOR TO COMPLETE FAILURE AND GREAT CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO REMOVE THE VEHICLE FROM ROADWAYS AND TRAFFIC.
MY VEHICLE VIN DOES NOT SEEM LISTED FOR RECALL GM NO. N192268490 OR WAS SERVICED. YET, I CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE INTERMITTENT LOSS OF BRAKING POWER, ESPECIALLY AT SLOW SPEEDS SUCH AS AFTER SHIFTING FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE FOR PARKING, OR BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE. MUCH MORE PRESSURE IS REQUIRED TO STOP AS IF LOSS OF POWER RESULTING IN MANUAL-ONLY BRAKING. THIS SEEMS TO GO AWAY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED. PRIOR TO RECALL, THE ISSUE PREVIOUSLY RESULTED IN $3000 DAMAGE TO ANOTHER FAMILY VEHICLE PARKED ON OUR PRIVATE PROPERTY.
THE VEHICLE WILL BE IN MOTION AND WHEN I TRY TO TURN ONTO A STREET, OR INTO A PARKING LOT, A WARNING FOR SERVICE STABILITRAK WILL COME ON, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK UP, THE A/C WILL TURN OFF, THE LCD RADIO DISPLAY WILL GO BLANK, AND MY HEADLIGHTS WILL FLICKER AND OR TURN OFF. SOMETIMES THE TRUCK SHUTS OFF. HAS ALMOST CAUSED 2-3 ACCIDENTS SO FAR... ALSO WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, IF I HAVE THE CRUISE CONTROL ON AND I PUT ON MY TURN SIGNAL IT WILL TURN OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL, AND FLICKER MY RADIO LCD DISPLAY, AND ALSO CAUSE A SERVICE STABILITRAK WARNING. SOMETIMES WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKE, MY HEADLIGHTS WILL FLICKER, OR TURN OFF. CLEARLY AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. WHEN RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ONLINE THERE APPEARS TO BE A RECALL FOR OTHER SILVERADO'S WITH THESE SAME ISSUES, BUT THERE ISN'T ONE CURRENTLY UNDER MY VIN NUMBER, HOWEVER IT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND IS GETTING WORSE. THE PROBLEM FIRST STARTED AROUND 88,000 MILES
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while entering the vehicle, he noticed that the passenger’s side window failed to work as designed. Additionally, there was water leaking into the vehicle whenever it rained. The contact also stated that the brakes would not engage when the brake pedal was depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with the window’s wiring harness needing to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was relating the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,331.
CODE P2138. TRUCK GOES INTO "LIMP MODE" WHEN PEDAL HARNESS SENSOR GETS WET. (I.E. DRIVING IN HEAVY RAIN). POWER AND TRANSMISSION REDUCE SPEED TO LESS THAN 45MPH. WILL NOT GO INTO ANY GEAR HIGHER THAN 2ND. THIS HAPPENED TO ME ON THE INTERSTATE AT DRIVING AT THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 75 MPH. HAD TO PULL OVER AND LIMP 1 MILE TO THE NEAREST OFF RAMP CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION. HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE.
WHEN I TRY TO USE MY BRAKES THEY FEEL LIKE THERE'S NO PRESSURE AND I HAVE TO PUMP BRAKES REPEATEDLY TO STOP. ALSO FEEL A LITTLE VIBRATION. THIS DOES HAPPEN EVERY TIME. MOSTLY WHEN I'M TRYING TO SLOW DOWN TO PARK IT OR STOP AT A LIGHT.
The vehicle will intermittently start to have electrical glitches such as loss of electric power steering, A/C and radio shutting off, stabilitrack shutting off and engine shutoff. I've heard there is a known ground issue with this model and its can be dangerous when moving if you lose steering control and engine control. This has happened multiple times the most recent was 6/28/2021
I CHOSE A USED 2014 CHEVY SILVERADO WITH 180K MILES. I MET MY SALESPERSON, BERNARD, ON SITE AT PUGMIRE FORD, IN CARROLLTON, GA. WHEN I TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE, THE TRUCK HAD OFF ROAD TIRES, SO I REQUESTED THAT PUGMIRE PUT REGULAR TIRES ON THE TRUCK BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. THEY AGREED AND THE TRUCK WAS DELIVERED A FEW DAYS LATER. SOON AFTER DELIVERY, I NOTICED A SOFT NOISE SEEMINGLY COMING FROM THE ENGINE. I INFORMED MY SALESPERSON BERNARD OF THE ISSUE. HE ASKED ME TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK FOR REVIEW. I DID & BERNARD TOLD ME 'IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE EXHAUST SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. IT WILL GO AWAY AFTER A FEW DRIVECYCLES'. I DIDN'T BELIEVE HIM SO I HAD THE OBD CHECKED, THAT INDICATED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAD FAILED. I SENT THE DOCUMENT TO BERNARD, THEN I ASKED IF THE VEHICLE HAD A RECENT EMISSIONS INSPECTION, HE SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW. HE APOLOGIZED, BUT STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE. AT THIS POINT, I REMINDED BERNARD 1. IT IS ILLEGAL TO SELL A VEHICLE THAT CANNOT PASS EMISSIONS 2. THAT MY BANK HAD NOT YET MAILED THE CHECK. WITH THAT MIND, PUGMIRE FORD FINALLY AGREED TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. SO I AGREED TO AUTHORIZE MY BANK TO SEND THE CHECK. PUGMIRE HAD ARRANGED FOR THE TRUCK TO BE FIXED AT G&S AUTO AND THEY PAID FOR THE WORK. BUT AFTER REPAIR, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RETURNED. SO I TOOK IT BACK TO G&S TO ASK WHY. THAT'S WHEN THEY DETERMINED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAD FAILED DUE TO INTERNAL ENGINE DAMAGE. THEY RECOMMENDED ANOTHER SHOP FOR A 2ND OPINION. THAT SHOP IS CALLED ALL PRO AUTOMOTIVE. ALL PRO CONFIRMED THE DAMAGE AND PROVIDED A QUOTE FOR THE REPAIRS. PUGMIRE FORD VOIDED ALL CLAIMS OF THE VEHICLE BEING AN AN 'AS-IS' PURCHASE WHEN THEY PAID TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. THEY TOOK OWNERSHIP OF IT, AND OPTED OUT AFTER THEY RECEIVED THE CHECK FROM MY BANK.
THE TRUCK IS JUMPING RPMS I'VE HAD MANY MECHANICS LOOK AT IT AND EVEN SWITCHED OUT PARTS OUT. I WAS TOLD TOLD IT COULD BE 4CYL TO 8CYL ADAPTING NOW I'M BEING TOLD THE TORQUE CONVERTER IS FAULTY .. THE TRUCK GETS STUCK AT A STOP LIGHT OR FEELS LIKE A HARD PULL WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND SOMETIMES EVEN MAKES A CLUNK NOISE.

THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO PLATINUM CHEVROLET (3001 CORBY AVE, SANTA ROSA, CA 95407) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
STEERING WHEEL SOMETIMES DOSEN'T WANT TO TURN AT LOWER SPEED OR WHEN YU WANT TO PARK IN LIKE A PARKING LOT
THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES ON A 2014 CHEVY SILVERADO I BOUGHT APR 2020. THE FIRST TIME WAS SEP 2020 AND DIAGNOSIS FROM THE MECHANIC SHOWED NOTHING FOUND. ONLY SHOWED ERROR CODE THAT COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMPUTER WAS LOST. CODE WAS CLEARED AND IT DID NOT DO IT AGAIN UNTIL 2 MAR 2021. UPON INITIAL IGNITION, THE MESSAGE WINDOW READ "ACTION NEEDED. ROLL DRIVER WINDOW DOWN AND BACK UP, I DID THIS AND THEN IT WENT AWAY. AFTER DRIVING ON A FLAT, PAVED, DRY ROAD AT ABOUT 35 MPH. FOR NO APPARENT REASON, MY TRUCK DISPLAYED A MESSAGE THAT SAID "STABILITY CONTROL", THE ENGINE REVED, RPMS SHOT UP TO 5K AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FLICKER SEVERAL TIMES, RADIO TURNED OFF AND THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL. A SHORT TIME LATER AT A LIGHT AND THE MESSAGE APPEARED AGAIN, THE RADIO AND CLUSTER COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND THEN THE TRUCK SUDDENLY DIED. I PUT IT IN PARK, AND IT RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY, ONLY TO DO IT AGAIN (STARTED AGAIN AS WELL). THE FIRST TWO TIMES THIS HAPPENED, THE TRUCK CAME BACK ON WITHOUT ISSUE AND I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER INTO A PARKING LOT. IT HAPPENED AGAIN WITHIN MINUTES OF THE SECOND TIME AND I HAD JUST PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. THIS TIME, THE TRUCK COMPLETELY DIED (NO ELECTRICITY, NO ABILITY TO USE BLINKERS, HAZARDS, NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES ECT. COMPLETE OUTAGE. AFTER 10 MINUTES OF IT NOT COMING ON OR STARTING, I CALLED AAA TO TOW IT AND WHILE ON THE PHONE (APPROX 30 MINUTES, IT CAME BACK TO LIFE ON ITS OWN (RADIO, INSTRUMENT PANEL CAME ON) AND IT STARTED. I TRIED TO DRIVE IT HOME, AND AT ONE LIGHT, IT DIED AGAIN BUT RESTARTED AND I WAS ABLE TO GET IT HOME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I AM WRITING THIS BECAUSE OF THE DOZENS OF CASES OF THE SAME ISSUES (SOME OF WHICH VEHICLES DIED WHILE AT DRIVING SPEEDS) WITH SIMILAR YEAR AND MODEL GM VEHICLES ON FORUMS. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION BY GM AND NEEDS TO BE DOCUMENTED.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED INTO POSITION TO MANEUVER A REVERSE PARK. VEHICLE LOSES ALL POWER AND UNABLE TO RESTART, BUT THE LIGHTS FLICKER. HAPPENS 3-4 A WEEK WHEN DRIVING: I TURN TURN SIGNAL ON AND HEADLIGHTS FLICKER TRUCK FEELS LIKE LOSSES POWER, IF MAKING A U-TURN STEERING WHEEL GETS HARD AND TRUCK FEELS LIKE STALLING OUT. ON HIGHWAY GOING 65MPH STABILITRAK LIGHT FLASHED TWICE AND TRUCK FELT SLUGGISH VERY BRIEF. WHEN EXITING HIGHWAY AND TURNING ONTO CITY STREET AT 30MPH VERY BRIEFLY THE TRUCK LOST POWER AND STEERING WAS LIKE STUCK, ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENT, TRUCK FELT LIKE IT TURNED OFF AND ON AND JOLTED FORWARD VERY HARD AND WENT BACK TO NORMAL. WHEN I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT THE STABILITRAK LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND TRUCK STALLED BRIEFLY AGAIN WHILE TURNING AT 15MPH, ALL DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AND POWER STEERING LOST, TRUCK WENT BACK TO NORMAL ON ITS OWN.
WHEN I AM DRIVING I TURN THE BLINKER ON OR PRESS THE BRAKE AND THE STABLE TRACK COMES ON TRUCK TURNS OFF AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN I AM TURNING THE WHEEL OR PRESSING THE BRAKE TOOK IT TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND NOTHING I TELL THEM I ALMOST CRASHED DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND THEY SAY IT'S YOUR HOLE WIRED ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE I TELL THEM I NEED RECALLS DONE AND THEY STILL DO NOTHING
TRUCK RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHEN DRIVING AT LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS
HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE AT PILES CHEVY AND DAN CUMMINS CHEVY MULTIPLE TIMES ALONG WITH TIRE DISCOUNTERS EVERYONE SAYS VEHICLE IS IN SPEC AND THE SHAKING AT 70 TO 75 MPH IS NORMAL HOWEVER I'VE OWNED MULTIPLE VEHICLES NON OF THEM HAS EVER HAD THIS ISSUE I CAN'T GET THE DEALER TO FIX IT THEY ONLY SAY IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE TRUCK ONLY HAS 57000 MILES ON IT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PALMETTO CHEVROLET CO., INC (1122 4TH AVE, CONWAY, SC 29526) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT BELTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.
THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS , THE TRUCK STALLS. THE TRUCK WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET WHILE TURNING.
I STARTED MY TRUCK IN MY DRIVEWAY AND SMOKE POURED FROM THE BASE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE BACK WINDOW AND THEN THE GLASS SHATTERED.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON A BACK ROAD, IT BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND BOG WHEN ACCELERATING. TORQUE CONVERTER FAILED AND TOOK OUT TRANSMISSION.
THE VEHICLES AFM SYSTEM HAS BENT A PUSHROD IN MY TRUCK. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS. I AM OUT OF WARRANTY AND THERE IS NO RECALL. IS THIS BEING INVESTIGATED?

THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE AND TOLD THE CONTACT THAT THEIR VEHICLE HAD NO RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 134,231.
AT 72K MILES THE TORGUE CONVERTER ON MY 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO LTZ REQUIRED REPLACEMENT AT AN OUT OF THE POCKET EXPENSE OF $4486. THE AUTO REPAIR GARAGE WHERE I HAD THE WORK DONE REPORTED THEY HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE VEHICLES WITH THIS TRANSMISSION COMING IN LATELY WITH AROUND THE SAME MILEAGE (72K) HAVING THIS ISSUE. I DRIVE MOSTLY AROUND TOWN (NOT MUCH HIGHWAY), HEARD A GRINDING SOUND AND CAUGHT IT EARLY BEFORE LOSING ANY GEARS. UNFORTUNATELY, SOME VEHICLES HAVE ACTUALLY LOST GEARS. SOUNDS DANGEROUS.

WHEN I'M DRIVING AT ANY SPEEDS AND TURN STEERING WAY TO FAST TO EITHER SIDE I'LL GET MESSAGE STABILITY TRAK TURNED OFF AND FOLLOWED BY RADIO LOSING POWER. SOMETIMES TRUCK SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY AND SOMETIMES TRUCK JUST ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO SHUT OFF BUT REMAINS ON. THERE'S TIMES WHERE I'LL GET THE MESSAGE FOR DRIVER WINDOW TO ROLL UP AND DOWN AND WINDOWS LOSE POWER. I'VE TAKEN TRUCK TO DEALERSHIP SEVERAL OF TIMES JUST TO LOSE OUT ON MONEY EVERY TIME BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T FIXED THE PROBLEM AND JUST KEEP CHARGING.
WITH ANY KIND OF ACCELERATION ABOVE 30 MPH, THERE IS A VIBRATION UNDER THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR BOARD AND SEAT AND THE VEHICLE IS "SEARCHING" FOR THE CORRECT RPM WITHIN A 200 RPM RANGE. WHEN IN A PARKING LOT WITH 4X4 HI ENGAGED, THE FRONT HUBS WILL BIND WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED OVER HALF WAY RIGHT OR LEFT, MAKING TIGHT TURNS DIFFICULT TO COMPLETE. I WILL BE TAKING THIS TO A DEALERSHIP TO HOPEFULLY GET DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. MILEAGE IS 114K

THE REPAIR REQUIRES A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL ASSIST COMPONENT. QUOTE OF $1,750.00 ON AUGUST 2017 I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THE EPS ASSIST. THE SOFTWARE WAS COMPLETED BY KENDALL CHEVY IN AUGUST OF THAT YEAR.
VEHICLE WILL NOT START WHILE USING THE KEY AT TIMES; AS IF THE CAR BATTERY IS DEAD. OTHER TIMES IT DOES START; WILL GO A MONTH OF NO ISSUES AND THEN STARTS DOING IT AGAIN. USING THE REMOTE START WORKS FINE.

CAUSING EXCESSIVE SPEED ON THE OFF RAMP AND INABILITY TO SAFELY BRAKE. APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN A RECALL FOR MY YEAR VEHICLE. AFTER CALLING THE DEALER I WAS TOLD M VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE AND DID NOT PROVIDE FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000. *DT*JB
WHENEVER PULLING INTO PARKING LOT SLOWLY OR REVERSE PARKING COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER, HAVE TO PUT IN PARK TO RESTART VEHICLE. USUALLY WHILE TURNING VEHICLE HAPPENS AT LEAST ONCE A DAY.
I have experienced engine failure in my 2014 Silverado 6.2L on 3 separate occasions. All caused by the AFM system. Rockers lock into the wrong position while transforming from 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder operation. The first two occurrences bent lifters and caused a failure to the catalytic converter. A certified GM service department at a local dealership replaced parts covered by warranty. On the third occasion the rockers locked into the wrong position, bent push rods, damaged the cam shaft and caused a failure in the catalytic converter. It was taken to the same GM service department at Lou Fusz Chevrolet. My 5 year warranty had expired and GM refused to cover the parts they had previously replaced a year prior. I was quoted approximately $10k for repairs and $16k for full engine replacement. After some back and forth with the service department manager I requested to speak with the lead mechanic. He informed me that it was an AFM system problem he was very familiar with. He stated to me that I would be better off taking it to a private shop and bypassing the AFM system as he was “working on” 10-15 vehicles a month with the same issue. At the time I had reached out to GM corporate about the issue and I did not receive a correspondence. I have all of the paperwork and receipts and all other service records dating back to my purchase of the vehicle in 2018.
WHILE TRUCK IS TRAVELING DOWN ROAD TRUCK LOOSES POWER SHUTS OFF, DASH GOES BLANK, LOSES POWER STEERING. VERY DANGEROUS.
