I got something out of the driverside door of my truck and shut the door and the passengerside of the rear sliding window blew out. It was 30 degrees out.
While driving, the engine suddenly stalled forcing me to take evasive action to exit the roadway. After having the vehicle towed to the dealership, I was informed the CP4 fuel pump had failed. The cost of the repairs totaled $13,296.39, plus towing. The repairs took seven weeks to complete.

I was driving on the Freeway, when the gears on the Transmission started to idle. I was going about 65 miles per hr, when the vehicle would not move, even as a stepped on the gas pedal. I was able to put my hazard lights on and pulled over on the side shoulder of the Freeway. I immediately put the vehicle in park mode. While in park mode the vehicle started to make a very loud screeching noise. I turned off the vehicle to see if this would troubleshoot the issue. I turned vehicle back on and the noise did not go away, I put the vehicle back into gear and it would not move, it started to shake and the vehicle jumped into which I believe would have been 3rd gear. I was able to drive the vehicle to my house at 5 miles per hr with the Hazard lights on. My house was only 2 miles from the Freeway Exit. During the 2 Mike drive to my house, the vehicle kept jumping into gears. This could have caused a major accident on the Freeway. I need answers.
At low speeds, the braking system is not operating at 100% efficiency. The pedal must be pushed hard and the vehicle does not STOP promptly. Happens in forward and reverse. There is also a grinding sound when this happens.
The air bag warning light came on. The dealership determined it is the air bag passenger presence module that has failed. None of the air bags will function when this warning light is on. It is available for inspection. This problem started intermittently 2 month’s ago and now happens every time it’s driven.
Seal deteriorated on 3rd brake light at top of cab, allowing water inside the light and the vehicle. Concerned about possible wire/electrical short circuit.

Lifters collapsed Got it inspected by a dealer Check engine light came on for a misfire
I was backing out of an inclined driveway and when I applied the brakes, I had a hard brake pedal situation and I was not able to stop the truck until it rolled into the street. Thank goodness no car was behind me or coming down the street. I parked the vehicle and will not drive until I get to the dealer to look at. I checked the brake fluid reservoir and it was fill to appropriate level. Prior to this, 5 or 6 times, while driving, my stability control and ABS light came on but went off. Also, now that I think about it, those lights came on when the road was really pitched to one side or when I pulled into a elevated parking space.
When driving home from work one day driving at low speed (Below 15mph) the brake pedal would not go down it seemed like no matter how hard I pushed the brake pedal would not move much. This caused me to run a stop sign once the truck slowed down enough and brakes were literally being pressed as hard as possible you could hear the front brakes grinding really bad and the truck still did not want to stop. I had to call a wrecker service to tow my truck to a local mechanic shop. Upon further investigation and 625 dollars later it was determined the vacuum pump failed. After replacing the pump no further issues so far.
Brakes are acting spongy, sometimes they are hard, then it goes to the floor, and makes a electronic noise.
Brake pedal got hard while trying to stop. Had no power brakes. Turn truck off and back on brake pedal works again
Severe overheating and smoke from rear defrost window area. Same issue happened to my vehicle as described in recall number N192265660 with GM. I used remote start to warm up truck and when I went to get in and opened the rear door, smoke bellowed and a bright red glow (flame?) at the rear window was present. Due to the low temperature outside, cold air rushed in and the driver side rear window fractured from thermal shock. Appeared as a short or bad circuit caused the extreme heat in this area.
Driving down the road and transmission gave out
I’ve only owned my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 for 8 months now and I’ve been noticing my paint starting to bubble and I popped one and water came pouring out I have also had to change my left rear turn signal twice my top light socket keeps melting and you can just buy a pig tail you have to get all three light sockets and they are 136.89 and the sound in the truck don’t also work if the truck sits longer then 5 hours I have no sound and I’ve replaced battery already I also will get a clicking noise from under the steering wheel when the truck turns off it lasts from 1 min to 15 mins and stops thank you
Faulty trailer wire harness that can result in loss of brakes while towing as well as a constant distraction

6l80 transmission has the Chevy shutter or slipping truck only has 60,000 miles not very optimistic that it will last till the 150,000 miles if it’s already acting up and I can hear metal slapping when shifting at various speeds and stopping speeds
Intermittent rumbling and shaking ...feels like going over a rumble strip but it lasts for a little while and then repeats again after a little while.
The transmission has issues shifting into 3rd gear and then doesn't want to shift into 4th gear.
While driving my dash and power steering would go out suddenly without any warning and last for several minutes before regaining electrical power. Engine would still be operating and I was still able to drive it but I lost all power and electrical indicators when it would happen.
For no reason at approximately 57,000 miles vehicle developed a strong intermittent shudder at at low RPMs on highway alignment seems has not corrected issue and vehicle has always had a concerning vibration I have been told is "normal" vehicle is on its second transmission and torque converter and the warranty just ran out and it seems like it wants to fall apart these issues have been ongoing and don't seem to be resolved by dealer
radiator leaking for unknown reason. No damage to front end or from under truck. I have been smelling anti freeze for about the past year but could not see any signs of any leaks until now. Still no sign of a leak on the ground but can see it on the bottom of the radiator support.
The vacuum pump for the brake booster fails to build vacuum at low RPM (Under 1200 RPM). The part is still on the vehicle and can be inspected when the dealer completes repairs. The failure of the vacuum pump causes the ABS system to activate when attempting to come to a stop due to the need to apply excessive brake pedal pressure. This greatly increases stopping distance and has caused me to enter controlled intersections unintentionally. The problem has been confirmed by an independent repair shop. The problem has not been confirmed by anyone else yet. There were no warnings or messages prior to the failure. The only warning was a message AFTER the failure occurred to "service brake assist system".

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owned a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while towing a trailer and driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle started to fishtail. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact attempted to mitigate the failure by letting up off the accelerator pedal and then gently depressing the brake pedal however, the actions failed to correct the failure and got worse. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the center median metal guard rail on the passenger’s side front and rear of the vehicle with the trailer compressed against the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that the Anti-Sway feature failed to operate as designed. A police report was filed. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle was not diagnosed. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000. The vehicle was destroyed.

I own a 2015 Chevy Silverado LD. There was a recall that included (among other vehicles) the 2014 Silverado LD and the 2015 Silverado HD but not the 2015 LD. It is for the base radio audio output not working causing audible safety warnings to not work as well. I have this problem on my truck. I took the truck to a local dealership but they claimed to have no knowledge of this faulty condition.
My driver’s seat started moving slightly then by the end of the day it was rocking back and forth at least 2 inches. The dealer said it’s not under warranty and it would be $1,200 to repair it. I had it welded but the weld didn’t hold. I am afraid this is a big safety hazard and should be covered especially since the truck is only 5 years old. I only weigh 200 lbs and I am the only one who’s ever driven the truck. There is no reason the seat should be broken. Consumer stated vehicle not included in the recall.
At low speeds the brakes do not engage 100% of the time. After a few short pumps the brakes dont engage and I have to push as hard as I can on the brake pedal to get the truck to stop. It has happened at random times over the last year and there is no pattern to it. It seems to brake fine when I am traveling at higher speeds but when I am parking or in stop and go traffic I have issues with stopping the truck. I believe the problem is the vacuum pump for the brakes. This issue needs to be resolved since I have read hundreds of other complaints about this same braking problem.
While driving there is a reoccurring warning of trailer brake problem. I was told this is due to a faulty waring harness, that needs to be repaired.
My truck will start flickering and shuts off jerking the steering wheel out of my hand, then tells me to service stabilitrak. It mostly happens when I am driving (coming to a stop sign/light and/or while turning). Had it taken to two different dealers and they keep telling me it’s a mechanical issue when It seems more electrical.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH, there was a loud clunking sound underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V504000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact mentioned that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000. VIN tool confirms parts are not available.
While slowing down to make a right turn the engine stalled and the electrical power was lost rendering the power steering inoperable. The loss of power steering created a dangerous situation where I almost hit a tree. Also there has been several occasions while driving on the freeway the electrical power stalled. Thankfully it was only for less than two seconds, but I can't imagine what would have happened on a busy freeway had it not been only a temporary loss of power. I read online that these problems are not uncommon. I have taken the truck to a Chevy dealer where they replaced battery cables they said had some resistance in them. It's been a month since the repair ($1300 later) was made and have not experienced any problem since. After experiencing these "power failers", there would be a message on the dash that would state "OPEN THEN CLOSE DRIVER WINDOW'
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated the Electric Power Steering Assist module was updated under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V586000 (Steering) however, while driving 55 MPH two years later, the warning message “Service Power Steering” illuminated. The contact continued to drive the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring and the vehicle would lose power steering while parked. The contact stated that the stability tract control warning light and the 4-wheel drive warning light illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness lid needed to be cleaned and the dialectic grease needed to be applied inside the connectors. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred while driving. Additionally, the dealer diagnosed that the transmission control module needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.
While traveling at low speeds, my brake pedal gets extremely stiff and brake are almost inoperable. When pressed completely down, a grinding noise is heard. It seems as though my vehicle was impacted by the manufacture brake booster defect where NHTSA determined to be a safety recall.
loss of braking in reverse, hard pedal feel, unable to stop. no warning lights or DTC codes
At low speeds I lose all pressure in my brake pedal and it goes very hard. I have to use every bit of force in my body to stop the car. There is already a recall for this issue with the vacuum pump for my year make and model however my VIN is not part of it. I tried to call General Motors about this and was told I am not part of the recall. When I asked to escalate the issue to someone dealing with the recall so they can be aware that it is affecting more vehicles than they think I was told I can't escalate it and was hung up on.
2015 SILVERADO clear coat peeling off wheels and not holding air I,m [XXX] if I need this truck in an emergency i,m stranded. Have contacted the dealer and gm both with no success the wheels were $2900. and they wanted me to pay $2300. for a truck that has 50,000 miles on it. it is clearly a safety issue driving down the road when they will not hold air. I filed a complaint in oct 2021 and oct 2024 INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The Chevy Silverado shakes around 65-70 mph and is continuing to worsen over the course of time. The original driveshaft may have been replaced by a dealer in the past (vin shows zero recalls to a known failure caused by aluminum driveshafts), but they have been replaced with the exact same aluminum driveshafts. This never resolved the original failure, but only pushed the failure down the road temporarily, putting new buyers safety at risk.
When slowing down vehicle to stop at traffic light or pull in parking space, brakes are failing and feels like vehicle has no brakes..have to press down on brake pedal really hard and as far down as it will go before vehicle will stop. Only happens at these lower speeds such as while trying to park or stop at a traffic light. We have had the brake pads, rotors, calipers, etc checked..everything looks good so this is not the problem. There were no warning lamps or messages associated with this problem..it has happened the last 2 times we have driven the vehicle..we are not driving it anymore at the moment until we figure out was is going on. Afraid we will hit something or someone else if we cannot get the vehicle stopped in time. Looking online seems there were several recalls for this problem for this vehicle but I never received a notice for it..possibly a bad vacuum pump or ABS defect? Needs to be reset or something..Please advise. Thank you.
