The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that after taking the vehicle to a local dealer for an oil change, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered and lost motive power. The vehicle was restarted and while driving back to the residence the failure recurred several times. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The fuel pump was replaced and the vehicle was fixed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 87,000.
THE A/C IS KNOWN TO BE DEFECTIVE IN A 2015 CHEVY SILVERADO AND MINE WENT OUT ON 03/28/2021. I BOUGHT MY TRUCK NEW AND MAINTENANCED IT WELL AND IS GARAGE KEPT. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS FAILURE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE WINDOWS CAN FOG UP IN ADVERSE WEATHER AND HINDER VISIBILITY. CHEVROLET NEEDS TO OWN UP TO A BADDLY DESIGNED SYSTEM.
MY SILVERADO HAS ALREADY HAD THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE RELATED TO THE PREVIOUS VACUUM PUMP/BRAKE RECALL (N192268490). IT INITIALLY HELPED, BUT NOW THE BRAKE PEDAL IS AGAIN EXTREMELY HARD TO PRESS AT SLOW SPEEDS, SUCH AS IN TRAFFIC. YOU NEED TO ALMOST STAND ON IT TO STOP. IT APPEARS THAT THE DETERIORATION IS BACK WHERE IT WAS BEFORE THE SOFTWARE "FIX." I WILL BE TAKING TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS WEEK AND REQUESTING A REPLACEMENT OF THE VACUUM PUMP UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL. I AM BEYOND REGULAR POWERTRAIN WARRANTY AT THIS POINT, BUT BRAKES SEEM LIKE THEY SHOULD WORK PAST 80K.
WHEELS LOCKED UP. GARAGE STATES IT IS 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRANSFER CASE. GARAGE CHECKED WITH GM FOR A RECALL AND THIS ISSUE IS ON RECALL FOR THIS TYPE/YEAR OF TRUCK BUT VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. TRANSFER CASE MUST BE REPROGRAMMED ACCORDING TO DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND GM CONFIRMED THAT IS THE FIX. THIS VEHICLE HAS JUST OVER 40,000 MILES ON IT AND GM STATED IT IS NOT COVERED BY RECALL.
BURNING SMELL IN THE VEHICLE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT THE TIME. THERE IS A KNOWN FAULT WITH THE DEFROSTER MECHANISM THAT RESULTS IN A MALFUNCTION THAT CAUSES THE WINDOW TO SHATTER. SAME MAKE MODEL AND YEAR ARE RECALLED IN CANADA BUT NOT THE US.
RADIATOR IS CRACKED. SAME PROBLEM AND SAME MODEL RADIATOR AS IS IN THE 2014 MODEL OF SAME VEHICLE. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM IN A 2014 MODEL BUT NOT 2015, LIKE MY VEHICLE.
DRIVING AT LOW SPEED LIGHTS FLICKER LOSE POWER STEERING TRUCK STOPS RUNNING STEERING LOCKS UP
AC BLOWS OUT WARM WAS TOLD THE EVAPORATOR LEAKS FROM THE FACTORY.
FUEL SYSTEM IS GOING BAD HAVE TO REPLACE FUEL INJECTORS AT 90,000 MILES. KEEP A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND MAKEING CYL 6 MISFIRE. REPLACE ALL OF THE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES AND STILL NOT FIX.
PAINT IS PEELING AND FLAKING IN MULTIPLE SPOTS ON MY TRUCK. GM WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT'S AFTER 3 YR OR 36000 MILES. THIS IS A VERY POPULAR PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR OF CHEVY TRUCKS. IT'S ALL OVER VEHICLE WEBSITES. IT'S A BAD PATCH OF PAINT OR PRIMER ISSUE. GM TOLD ME IT'S MAINTENANCE AFTER THE PAINT WARRANTY IS UP. THE SPOTS ARE INSIDE MY TAILGATE AND NEXT THE WINDSHIELD. TWO SPOTS WHERE IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR CHIPS TO HAPPEN FROM DRIVING. THIS IS A GM PROBLEM! THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. I'M SURE THEY KNOW THERE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. THEY NEED TO FIX IT. THEY ARE LOSING CHEVY CUSTOMERS.
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE TRUCK WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE IN A TURN. ALL DASHBOARD INFORMATION SHUTS DOWN. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS DRIVING ABOUT 35-50 MPH GOING STRAIGHT AND THEN TURNING ON BLINKER ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LANE CHANGE THE TRUCK CUTS OUT AND SHUTS OFF FOR A SECOND AND TURNS BACK ON. THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER AND USING POWER WINDOWS SOMETIMES CAUSES THE TRUCK TO SHUT OFF FOR A SECOND AND COME BACK ON. THIS HAPPENS IN PARK, TURNING, OR DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE VEHICLE IN THE SHOP AND THIS IS AFTER THE SOFTWARE UPDATE, AND THE VACUUM PUMP FOR THE BRAKES WAS REPLACED TWICE.
TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 93K MILES. LUCKILY FOR ME, I WAS A MONTH AWAY FROM WARRANTY EXPIRING. HOWEVER, SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE ENDED UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE WARRANTY I WANTED TO MAKE SURE I FILE A REPORT SO GM CAN MAYBE RECALL THEIR WEAK TRANSMISSIONS OR TORQUE CONVERTER. TRANS HAS BEEN SHIFTING AND SHUDDERING SO HARD FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR AND 2ND BACK TO 1ST. WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN TRANS WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO 6TH GEAR. WHEN TAKING EXIT HOME, TRUCK DIED. RESTARTED AND GOT CODES P0741 AND P0700. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. FLUID SMELT BURNT AND METAL SHAVINGS IN PAN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE AT A STANDSTILL, THE SEAT BELT LATCH FAILED TO LOCK SECURELY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V291000 (SEAT BELTS) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 108,000.
AT LOW SPEEDS, APPLYING THE BRAKE CAUSES THE PEDAL TO BECOME STIFF AND LOCK UP AND NOT WORK
I WAS DRIVING AT A SPEED OF 40 MPH ON A DIRT ROAD WHEN I HIT A LITTLE BUMP AN DRIVER AN PASSENGER CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOY FOR NO REASON AT ALL, CAUSING MYSELF AN WIFE TO RUN OFF THE ROAD INTO AN EMBANKMENT. MY WIFE IS OK I SUFFER A LACERATION TO MY NOSE AN A SPRANG ANKLE. THIS HAD HAPPEN WILL DELIVERING FOOD AN WATER TO GRANDPARENTS ON THE RESERVATION, THEY HAVE NO RUNNING WATER. THERE WAS NO POLICE REPORT FILED DUE TO COVID 19 AN UNAVAILABLE POLICE ON RESERVATION.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE HUSBAND WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND CRASH INTO A DITCH. DURING THE INCIDENT THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A NECK INJURY. NO POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER RELIABLE CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 3655 S CAMPBELL AVE, SPRINGFIELD, MO 65807 WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT YET CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 268,000.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V736000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. HAWTHORNE CHEVROLET (1180 GOFFLE RD, HAWTHORNE, NJ 07506) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTED THE DEALER TO PROVIDE THE CONTACT WITH A LOANER VEHICLE SINCE THE REMEDY WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
LOSS OF STEERING ASSIST. WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS AND MAKING TURNS, VEHICLE HAS A TEMPORARY LOSS OF EPS ASSIST FOLLOWED BY A SUDDEN RETURN OF EPS ASSIST. DEALER STATES SAFETY RECALL #18289 HAS BEEN COMPLETED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO EXHIBIT THE EXACT SAME FAILURE WHICH THIS RECALL IS SUPPOSED TO CORRECT.
THE TRUCK WAS ON STREET. TRANSMISIONWOULD NOT ENGAGE IN THE. SECOND GEAR, OR ANY GEAR. TURNED CAR OFF. STARTED TRUCK AGAIN SAME PROBLEM. EVEN IN REVERSE. TRUCK WAS IN LAKE ARROWHEAD ON MOUNTAIN ROAD BY HOUSES. CALLED FLAT BED TOW TRUCK. TOWED BACK HOME TO LONG BEACH. 200 MILES!. THE TRUCK IS IN MY DRIVE WAY WAITING FOR AN TRANSMISSION APPOINTMENT. STRANGE DROVE AROUND THE BLOCK AND HAD NO PROBLEM. EVEN BACKED IN TO MY DRIVEWAY WITH NO PROBLEM. SO NOT TRUST TRUCK NOW.
HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES THE LOCKS START LOCKING AND UNLOCKING RAPPEDLEY THE STEERING GETS HARD AND THE TRUCK DIES LOSING ALL CONTROL OF IT
WHEN DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED WHILE PARKING OR IN TRAFFIC, MY BRAKE PEDAL EITHER GETS VERY HARD OR VERY SOFT AND FEELS AS IF THOUGH I HAVE NO BRAKING POWER. IT FEELS LIKE THEY ARE TRYING TO BRAKE BUT DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FORCE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, I HAVE ALMOST HIT CARS IN TRAFFIC OR CARS IN PARKING LOTS WHILE PARKING BECAUSE THE BRAKES CAN NOT BE FULLY ENGAGED. I HAVE REPLACED ALL MY BRAKES AND ROTORS AND HAVE HAD EVERYTHING INSPECTED AND HAVE BEEN TOLD IT MAY BE THE VACCUM PUMP ON A CAR THAT HAS ONLY 56K MILES. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN THAT THE DEALER IS REFUSING TO RECOGNIZE AS FAULTY. I HAVE HAD TO USE MY PARKING BRAKE JUST TO GET HOME. NOW MY CAR SITS BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND THE DEALER QUOTED OVER 1700 TO FIX.
Truck has 98,500 miles on it. Radiator is cracked and leaking, roof leaks when raining, electric power steering randomly jerks the wheel out of your hand and almost causes you to crash.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ON A TYPICAL WINTER DAY IN MICHIGAN. THE REAR DEFROSTER WAS ON TO MELT SOME SNOW/ICE ON THE REAR WINDOW. AFTER BEING QUIET/NORMAL, SUDDENLY A LOUD HISSING/SIZZLING SOUND WAS COMING FROM THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER, LASTED LESS THAN A MINUTE BEFORE I WAS SMELLING SOMETHING BURNING. THE DEFROSTER CIRCUIT THEN FRIED IN A LARGE PUFF OF SMOKE WITH A SUBSTANTIAL "POP" SOUND. AFTER A BRIEF DELAY OF JUST A FEW SECONDS, THE REAR WINDOW GLASS EXPLODED/SHATTERED. THIS IS AFTER A KNOWN RECALL WAS ISSUED BY GM FOR THIS VERY ISSUE. I HAD THE ISSUE ADDRESSED AT MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN AUGUST. IN THEIR SERVICE REPORT, IT SAID "INSPECTED REAR SLIDING WINDOW TERMINALS AND COVERS FOR DAMAGE. INSTALL REVISED TERMINAL COVER. ALSO INSTALL NEW DESIGN BUSS BAR COVERS. OK NO HEAT DAMAGE FOUND." AGAIN, MY PROBLEM OCCURRED *AFTER* MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP ALLEGEDLY ADDRESSED THIS KNOWN PROBLEM AND ALREADY-ISSUED RECALL. I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING WHETHER OR NOT THE REPAIRS/INSPECTION THEY CLAIMED THEY DID ACTUALLY HAPPENED. IF THEY DID, CLEARLY THEY DID NOT REMEDY THIS SERIOUS PROBLEM. I AM NOW TRYING TO GET INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE REAR WINDOW. AT MINIMUM, THEY'VE SAID IT COULD TAKE TWO DAYS TO GET THE REPLACEMENT WINDOW.
MY RADIATOR IS LEAKING WITH ONLY 48000 MILES ON IT. THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE MODEL YEARS PRIOR TO AND AFTER MINE, FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. A RADIATOR SHOULD NOT HAVE CRACKS CAUSED FROM A THERMOSTAT PROBLEM IN THIS SHORT AMOUNT OF MILES. IT IS A SLOW LEAK AND I AM GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR BEFORE IT CAUSES OTHER PROBLEMS OR GETS WORSE.
ACTIVATED REMOTE START ON VEHICLE. AS I GOT INTO VEHICLE, MY PASSENGER NOTICED A BURNING SMELL AND THEN SAW THICK SMOKE COMING FROM REAR WINDOW. I TURNED OFF THE REAR DEFROSTER AND THE SMOKE STARTED TO DISSIPATE. MY REAR WINDOW THEN SHATTERED. GM RECALLED 159,000 VEHICLES IN CANADA DUE TO WHAT SEEMS LIKE THE SAME ISSUE WITH REAR DEFROSTERS. MY TRUCK WAS PURCHASED IN THE UNITED STATES.
IF I AM AT A STOP AND CREEP UP AND PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT GETS SOLID AND FAILS TO STOP THE VEHICLE!
WITH ONLY 79,600 MILES THE ENGINE BEGAN MISFIRING. WE TOOK IT TO 2 INDEPENDENT MECHANICS AND WERE TOLD THE LIFTERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED CAUSING $5600 IN REPAIRS. WE WERE FOLLOWED ALL THE RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGES AND MAINTENANCE. AFTER INVESTIGATING IT WE DISCOVERED THIS ENGINE FAILURE WAS KNOWN TO GMC AS IT HAS EFFECTED SEVERAL OTHER GMC TRUCK ENGINES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 2011 AND 2014.
BREAKS WILL NOT CATCH . AS I'M DRIVING AND TRYING TO STOP THE TRUCK WILL KEEP ROLLING . THIS IS EVEN WHEN DRIVING SLOW . THE BREAK PEDAL IS HARD . AND WILL NOT STOP. I TOOK TRUCK IN FOR A RECALL ON THE BREAK SYSTEM BUT THE LIGHT SENSOR IS STILL ON AND BREAKS WILL NOT CATCH. THIS IS GOING FORWARD BACKWARD PARKED OR GOING TO LIGHT . HAS BEEN HAPPENING OFF AND ON FOR A MONTH.
REPORTING THAT GM IS AWARE OF LEAKING IN THE RADIATOR, TRANSMISSION LINES AND OIL COOLANT LINES BUT NO RECALL IS LISTED. I AM NOW HAVING ISSUES WITH ALL THREE AND HAVING TO REPLACE THEM.
LOSS OF BRAKES WHEN DRIVING SLOW
BREAKS STOP WORKING AT LOW SPEEDS. STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, PARKING, STOPPING FOR PEOPLE, STOP SIGNS, TRAFFIC LIGHTS. BREAKS GO DOWN HALF WAY THEN GET HARD TO PUSH.
TRUCK SEEMS TO LOSE POWER WHEN SLOWING DOWN. STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP. DASH DISPLAY GO DARK AND COMES BACK. STABILITY TRACK WARNING. AIRBAG WARNING. HEADLIGHTS FLICKER. AC AND FAN GO OUT. HAPPENS WHEN MAKING TURNS AT A SLOW SPEED. AND WHEN HITTING THE BRAKE AT ANY SPEED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE INSIDE THE VEHICLE IN THE DRIVEWAY HE TURNED THE VEHICLE ON ONCE THE KEY WAS IN THE IGNITION SWITCH THE REAR DEFROSTER WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DURAND CHEVROLET, INC (223 WASHINGTON ST, HUDSON, MA 01749, (978) 562-7915 WHERE THE WINDOW WAS INSPECTED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE APPROXIMATELY 39,000.
First off the truck my father and I purchased was a brand new LT 1500 model with v6 engine and 4 wheel drive from Bill Defouw Chevrolet Lafayette, IN In 2020 I contacted the sheriff's department because the vehicle we had purchased had been stolen and switched out with another truck that had a non matching stamped vin on the frame underneath and nothing else matched with photos of proof did not match either. I gave the photos to the authorities to observe and they handed them back to me and laughed at me. The truck that was left with me that the thieves tried to make me believe was my truck was a salvage flood vehicle with the strong smell of mold and mildew and tires that didn't match and other areas on the truck that did not match our brand new truck we purchased that had never been altered except for adding a bed liner. I have tons of photos showing the unmatched stamped vin and photos throughout the years of ownership that I've been trying to get help with before someone gets hurt. When they wouldn't help me and continuously told me it was my truck in my possession even though I showed the proof I literally was brainwashed into believing what they were saying and I traded the truck in. When I finally realized that my gut instinct and proof was enough I contacted the dealership and took photos in where we purchased the truck to show them the differences and they agreed with me and told me to contact the police again. So I did and got the same results. Therefore there are two trucks out there possibly more that have been vin swapped and vehicle swapped from victims driveways, or work, or garage etc. I can submit my photos of proof immediately. They got my other vehicles too including my motorcycle I never got to ride because I noticed it a couple days after purchase. This crime is heavy and victims don't even know it's happened due to cloning.
I HAVE ABOUT 85000 MILES ON MY CAR, I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP. THE CODE FOR THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP AS P06DA WHICH MOST LIKELY INDICATES A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE OIL CONTROL SOLENOID (BASED ON MOST OF THE VIDEOS AND REVIEWS ON THE INTERNET). UNFORTUNATELY, GM NEVER MADE A RECALL ABOUT THIS!! THIS PROBLEM COSTS ABOUT 3K TO FIX AT THE DEALER.
IN THE FALL OF 2020, I RECEIVED A SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING MY SEATBELT AND POTENTIAL ISSUE WITH THE PRE-TENSIONER CABLE THAT COULD FAIL. UNABLE TO GET INTO THE SHOP, I CONTINUED TO DRIVE. ONE DAY, I REACHED OVER TO THE PASSENGER SEAT THE THE CABLE SNAPPED LEAVING ME 90 MILES FROM MY HOME WITHOUT A WORKING SEATBELT. WHEN I WENT TO A DEALERSHIP, THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE REPAIR EVEN THOUGH THE BULLETIN INDICATED IT WAS COVERED.

THE CONTACT STATED WHEN THE AUTO START SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY STARTED THE WINDOW DEFROST SYSTEM AND THE CONTACT WAS CONCERN THAT THERE WAS A VOLTAGE NOISE THAT EMITTED UNDER THE ELECTRONIC COVERS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AXELROD BUICK GMX (6603 BROOKPAK ROAD PARMA, OHIO 44129) TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED. HOWEVER, THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY REPAIR AND THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE REAR WINDOW FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM N192265660. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,200.*DT *TR
I AM GETTING A LOT OF CLUNKING IN A TRANSMISSION WHEN IT'S UP SHIFTING AND DOWN SHIFTING. ON THE ROAD UNDER 55 MPH. IDLE SURGES WHEN IT'S SWITCHING GEARS. WHEN IT GOES INTO V4 MODE AT ANY SPEED IT STARTS TO SHUDDER AND VIBRATE TO THE POINT AND YOU CAN FEEL IT IN THE GAS PEDAL AND STEERING WHEEL AND A LITTLE BIT IN THE SEAT. AND NOW ITS MAKING A RUBBING NOISE.
AFTER A 300 MILE DRIVE THE BRAKES ALL BUT FAILED WHEN ATTEMPTING TO BACK INTO A PARKING SPOT. THE PEDAL WAS STIFF FEELING AND REQUIRED SIGNIFICANT PRESSURE TO STOP. GOING FORWARD SEEMED TO BE NORMAL THEN WHEN I BACKED UP AGAIN IT WAS BAD. THIS HAS OCCURRED A FEW TIMES NOW. THE LATEST WAS JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS, WAITING IN LINE FOR A DRIVE THRU PICKUP AND AFTER 20 MINS WHEN WE MOVED FORWARD THE VEHICLE WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO STOP.
BREAK SYSTEM FAILING. IT HAPPENS TIME TO TIME WHEN AT SLOW SPEEDS. MOSTLY WHEN TRYING TO SLOW VEHICLE OT A STOP AT A LOW SPEED. REQUIRES BODYWEIGHT PRESSURE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IT STILL FEELS LIKE ITS SLIPPING TO A STOP. THIS IS HAPPENS WHEN IN REVERSE AND FORWARD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, A GRAYISH SMOKE BEGAN TO ENTER THE VEHICLE CAB FROM THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF THE DEFROSTER AND MOMENTS LATER, THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW SHATTERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND GAVE THE CONTACT A CASE NUMBER. THE MANUFACTURER THEN CONTACTED HIM ABOUT TEN DAYS LATER AND INFORMED HIM THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY; THEREFORE THEY COULD NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,840.
HARD TO STOP AT SLOW SPEEDS, VIBRATING BRAKE PEDAL. INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE.
I KEEP HAVING A PROBLEM WHERE I HAVE NO SOUND IN MY TRUCK AT ALL. NO RADIO OR BLINKER NOISE. I HAVE TRIED TO TAKE OUT THE FUSE AND REPLACE IT AND THAT DOESN'T WORK. IF I TURN THE TRUCK ON OR OPEN THE DOOR I ALREADY KNOW IF I'M GOING TO HAVE THE PROBLEM. THE OPEN DOOR CHIME DOESN'T COME ON. THE NEXT TIME I OPEN THE DOOR IT MIGHT WORK. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHERE OR WHAT THE PROBLEM IS BUT I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM.
TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT CHANGE GEARS. SLIPPING AND CAUSED HIGH REVS AND SOMETIMES WOULD SHIFT. THEY TOLD ME THE HUB THAT CONTAINED GEARS 4-6 WAS DAMAGED. THIS A FEW MONTHS AFTER CYLINDER #7 BLEW AND HAD TO REPLACED. ALL OF COURSE A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION FOR YEARS.
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 4 WINDSHIELDS FROM CRACKS BEGINNING ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT (PASSENGER) SIDE OF VEHICLE.
THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER LEAKS AT ONE OF THE SIDE WELDS. THIS CAUSES LOSS OF AIR CONDITIONING BUT ALSO THE DEFROSTER FUNCTION SO THE INTERIOR WINDOWS FOG OVER AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO SEE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE (GM CHANGED THE CONDENSER DESIGN IN LATER YEARS BUT DID NOT ISSUE A TSB). THE COST TO HAVE THIS CORRECTED IS ANYWHERE FROM $880-$1200 DOLLARS DEPENDING ON THE DEALER. IT IS ALSO SUCH A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM THAT THE REPLACEMENT OEM CONDENSER IS ON BACKORDER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.
WHEN DRIVING TRUCK ON A BUSY ROAD THE WARNING SIGN OF (SERVICE STABILITRAK) POPS UP ON DASHBOARD AND LIGHTS WOULD FLICKER TURNING ON AND OFF AS THE TRUCK WOULD ALSO SEEM TO TURN OFF AND QUICKLY BACK ON REGAINING ELECTRIC POWER. WHEN REVERSING IT STARTED LOCKING THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE (SERVICE STABILITRAK) WARNING SIGN WOULD POP UP. TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP TWICE FOR RECALLS AND THEY SAID PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED AND NOW IT'S THERE FOR THE THIRD TIME AS WE SPEAK. WHEN I PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY I WAS ABLE TO RECORD THE INCIDENT AND VIDEO WAS SENT TO DEALERSHIP MECHANIC. LAST SUNDAY AS I HEADED OUT TO BUY DINNER, MY VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE RUNNING FINE. I NOTICED THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLICKERED TWICE AND THAT WAS IT. WHEN I WAS APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES FROM MY RESIDENCE (SERVICE STABILITRAK) WARNING POPPED ON DASHBOARD AND TRUCK COMPLETELY TURNED OFF LOCKING MY BRAKES LOOSING COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND IT WENT ON ITS OWN INTO A BUSY INTERSECTION GOING DOWNHILL. STEERING WHEEL AND BRAKE WAS LOCKED LOOSING ALL ELECTRICAL AND DRIVING CONTROL. IT WOULD NOT TURN, IT WOULD NOT DO ANY CHANGES. MY TRUCK ENDED UP BUMPING INTO A SIDEWALK, I WAS TERRIFIED AS I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE. SHAKING IN FEAR I TRIED TO RESTART MY TRUCK AND IT DID TURN ON. I WENT INSIDE THE SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT, PARKED AND CALLED AAA SO MY VEHICLE COULD BE TOWED TO OUR NEAREST DEALERSHIP. WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR TUESDAY DUE TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND THEY WERE GOING TO LOOK AT OUR VEHICLE AGAIN. HOWEVER, I NEVER EXPECTED THAT I WOULD ALMOST LOOSE MY LIFE. IT'S THE THIRD TIME IT'S BEEN SEEN AND I FEAR IT WILL BE THE SAME SCENARIO. I CANNOT PUT MY FAMILY'S LIFE AT RISK. THE TRUCK IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP BEING SERVICED. I WILL NOT BE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE UNLESS I HAVE BEEN GIVEN PROOF THAT THEY FIXED THE ISSUE. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION FOR PROOF.
OUT OF NO WHERE I GET IN MY TRUCK AND START DRIVING. I HEAR A HISSING SOUND FROM THE BACK WINDOW. ALL OF A SUDDEN IT IS SMOKING SO I TURN MY TRUCK OFF THEN BACK ON HISSING IS GONE. I HAVE BEEN KEEPING AN EYE ON IT TO MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN. I WAS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY AND TRUCK WAS RUNNING. ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEAR THIS POP AND I LOOK BACK AND RIGHT NEXT TO THE PART THAT WAS SMOKING THE WINDOW COMPLETELY SHATTERED. .
BRAKES BECAME HARD TO PRESS DOWN. WOULD HARDLY STOP.
TRUCK BRAKE PEDAL PUSHES TO THE FLOOR AT LOW SPEEDS AND BRAKING. AFTER PUMPING THE PEDAL IT COMES BACK UP BUT THEN PRESSES TO THE FLOOR AGAIN. VEHICLE IS NOT BRAKING PROPERLY!
