WHEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (ANYWHERE BETWEEN 40-75) THERE IS A VERY NOTICEABLE SHAKING WHEN ENGINE IS UNDER LIGHT LOAD (JUST KEEPING SPEED). I HAVE TAKEN IN TO CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND THAT WORKED FOR A COUPLE THOUSAND MILES. NOT THE "CHEVY SHAKE" IS BACK AT FULL FORCE. UPON CALLING CHEVY, THEY CLAIM TO KNOW THAT THEIR TRUCKS DO THIS, BUT SAY THERE IS NOT A FIX TO SOLVE THE ISSUE. THEY CLAIM THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHERE IT'S COMING FROM, BUT SHOULD NOT BE A SAFETY HAZARD. MY QUESTION IS, IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS, HOW CAN THEY SAY IT'S NOT A SAFETY HAZARD. I AM SO AFRAID THAT MY TRUCK IS GOING TO BREAK DOWN AND IT'S NOT EVEN TWO YEARS OLD. I HAVE READ THE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE WITH PEOPLE HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE, SINCE THE 2014 MODEL. THEY HAVE HAD ENOUGH TIME TO FIGURE THIS OUT AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.
AT LOW SPEEDS UNDER BRAKING WHEN DOWNSHIFTING FROM GEAR 2 TO 1, THE SHIFT IS NOT SMOOTH. THERE IS A SIGNIFICANTLY LOUD CLUNK THAT YOU CAN FEEL AND HEAR, AND PASSENGER SAFETY IS COMPROMISED DUE TO A SUDDEN LURCH FORWARD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND DISCOVERED THAT THE SUN ROOF EXPLODED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO PREMIER CHEVROLET (401 US-59 LOOP, LIVINGSTON, TX 77351), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
PURCHASED 2017 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 11/2017. 04/2017, NO COLD AIR BLOWING FROM THE AC. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP THINKING ONLY NEED A RECHARGE SINCE THIS VEHICLE IS FAIRLY NEW. FOUND OUT THERE WAS A LEAK FROM THE CONDENSER. THIS COST ME OUT OF POCKET NEARLY $1200!! WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS SITUATION?
I HAD A DEER RUN INTO THE SIDE OF MY 2017 SILVERADO AND AIRBAG DEPLOYED AFTER AUTOBODY REPLACED AND FIX TRUCK THE TRUCK THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AGAIN WHILE TRUCK WAS BEING PROGRAMMED GM CLAIMS THERE INVESTIGATION COMES BACK THERE NOT AT FAULT BUT REFUSES TO RELEASE ANY DOCUMENTATION TO US MAKING US THINK THERE IS MUCH MORE THERE INVESTIGATION IS HIDING AND THEY DONT WANT TO BECOME LIABLE
TRUCK TRANSMISSION WAS GOOD UNTIL ABOUT 2,000 MILES. TRUCK HAS DELAYS WHEN PUTTING IN GEAR AFTER IT SITS OVERNIGHT. TRUCK HAS HARSH LOW SPEED DOWNSHIFTS. PROBLEMS ARE REAL BAD WHEN VEHICLE IS COLD. WHEN YOU COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND LET OFF THE BRAKE THE TRUCK WILL SOMETIMES LUNGE FORWARD. TOOK TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A WEEK LATER WITH ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. THEY DID A "TIMING" TEST AND FELT THE DELAY AND DID 16NA364 UPDATE. IT SEEMED TO HELP FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND PROBLEM RETURNED. BOTH DEALERSHIPS ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT GM IS NOT PROVIDING A FIX. I NOW WARM THE TRUCK UP A FEW MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING TO HELP WITH DELAYED GEAR ENGAGEMENT. HARSH DOWNSHIFTS CONTINUE WITH THE LUNGING AND SLOW RESPONSE AT TIMES WHEN APPLYING GAS PETAL. YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DRIVING THIS TRUCK BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS NOT TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM. THIS VEHICLE STICKER PRICE WAS $64,000 DOLLARS. I WISH I HAD MY OLD TRUCK BACK BECAUSE IT WAS RELIABLE AND NOT POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. GENERAL MOTORS NEED FIX THIS PROBLEM OR AT LEAST GIVE AN FREE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE DEALERS WILL FIX THE TRANSMISSION IF GM WILL TELL THEM HOW.
BRAKING ISSUE CAUSING REAR-END COLLISION AT LOW SPEED ON HIGHWAY IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE, INCREASED BRAKE PEDAL EFFORT.
WHILE PARKING IN MY WORK LOT AT LOW SPEED, MY PEDAL BECAME VERY STIFF AND VEHICLE WAS VERY HARD TO STOP. THIS PROBLEM REPEATED THE SAME DAY IN MY DRIVEWAY AT HOME. WHILE RESEARCHING ONLINE I LEARNED ABOUT THE FAILURES OF BRAKE VACUUM PUMP. PURCHASED AND CHANGED MINE MYSELF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. WHEN THE CONTACT PULLED INTO HIS DRIVEWAY AND PLUGGED IN THE BLOCK HEATER, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE A FEW MINUTES LATER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT PLACED THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL TO MOVE IT AWAY FROM HIS HOUSE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. BOTH THE MANUFACTURER AND INSURANCE COMPANY SENT FIRE INVESTIGATORS TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUBMITTED A FIRE REPORT TO HIS INSURANCE COMPANY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. BOTH INVESTIGATORS STATED THAT IT COULD TAKE UP TO 90 DAYS TO REPORT THEIR FINDINGS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY OFFERED A BUYOUT FOR THE TOTAL LOSS OF THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WANTED TO SEE WHAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD OFFER. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,500. ..*BF *TR
ONE MORNING WHEN I GOT TO WORK I WAS BACKING IN MY PARKING SPACE, WHEN MY BRAKES GOT HARD TO THE POINT THAT I COULD NOT PRESS THEM. IT WAS TO THE POINT THAT MY TRUCK WOULD NOT STOP UNLESS I USED BOTH FEET WITH HEAVY PRESSURE. IF I WAS DRIVING I WOULD HAVE NEVER STOPPED THAT TRUCK. I WAS JUST OUTSIDE MY WARRANTY WITH 39000 MILES ON THE TRUCK. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO REPLACE MY VACUUM PUMP.
THE TRANSMISSION ON THIS TRUCK HAS NOT BEEN RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. WHEN STARTING IN THE MORNING IT WILL DO ONE OF THREE THINGS: SURGES AND TRANSMISSION SKIPS, HESITATE AND THEN RACE OR JUMP AHEAD, OR CHUNK AND THUNK LIKE IT REALLY DOESN'T WANT TO GO TO WORK AND SHIFTS HARD WHEN IT DOES. I KEEP ASKING WHEN GM WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND I KEEP GETTING THE RUN AROUND. I HAVE BROUGHT IT IN 3X, HAVE HAD DIAGNOSTICS RUN, TRANSMISSION FLUSHED AND OF COURSE IT HAS NOT HELPED. I AM NOW BRINGING IT BACK TO CHEVY DEALER AND NOW THEY SAY I HAVE TO DO THE NEXT STEP ACCORDING TO GM WHICH IS PUT IN A NEW TORQUE CONVERTER. I BOUGHT A BEAUTIFUL TRUCK THAT RUNS LIKE CRAP AND I AM VERY FRUSTRATED.
THE ENGINE IS UNABLE TO RECEIVE CONSISTENT FUEL WHEN YOU START THE VEHICLE. IT REQUIRES PUSHING DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL MULTIPLE TIMES AND RESTARTS TO GET THE ENGINE GOING. THEN, WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE LOSES FUEL AND CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO TURN OFF AND ESSENTIALLY DIE. THIS HAS PUT ME IN 2 NEAR WRECK INCIDENTS ALREADY DESPITE THE GM DEALERSHIPS SAYING THERE IS NO ISSUE.
MY BRAKES FAILED TO STOP MY VEHICLE AT SLOW SPEEDS AND WHILE I WAS AT A DECLINE AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO REAR END ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE BRAKE PEDAL GOT EXTREMELY HARD AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO PRESS DOWN ON IT.
THE STEERING ASSISTANCE REDUCED LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH AND THE VEHICLE STEERING BECAME STIFF LIKE THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. I TURNED MY VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME THE STEERING WAS NORMAL. NOW THE LIGHT IS ON AT ALL TIMES. MY VEHICLE HAS RIGHT AT 50,000 MILES ON IT.
I PULLED INTO CROWDED PARKING LOT IN THE RAIN & COULDN'T STOP MY TRUCK. I USED BOTH FEET TO PRESS BRAKE AS HARD AS I COULD & GOT TRUCK STOPPED. BRAKE PEDAL WAS VERY HARD TO PRESS AND HAD TO PUMP BRAKE ABOUT 3 TIMES TO GET STOPPED. TRUCK WAS FINE FOR NEXT 3 DAYS & THEN IT HAPPENED ON INTERSTATE AT 75 MPH. I WAS PULLING A TRAILER & THE ONLY WAY I GOT TRUCK STOPPED WAS TO USE MANUALLY PRESS TRAILER BRAKE MECHANISM INSIDE TRUCK. IT REALLY SCAREDME AS I HAD MY KIDS IN TRUCK WITH ME AND VALUABLE LIVESTOCK IN TRAILER. AT DEALERSHIP NOW GETTING IT CHECKED OUT. I'M OVER 36,000 WARRANTY BUT UNDER 60,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON CA 395 NORTH WITH SNOWY CONDITIONS, I EXITED TO THE VIEWING OVERLOOK. AT A LOW SPEED AND MY STEERING LOCKED UP. I COULD NOT FORCE THE WHEEL TO MOVE IN ANY DIRECTION BUT LUCKY I ROLLED TO A STOP IN THE TURN OUT. I TURNED THE TRUCK ON AND OFF 2-3 TIMES AND STEERING REMAINED LOCKED. I WAITED ABOUT 3 MINS TO TRY TURNING THE TRUCK ON AGAIN AND THE EPS CAME BACK ON.
REAR WINDOW EQUIPPED WITH FACTORY ELECTRIC REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER EXPLODED/SHATTERED OUTWARD WHEN DRIVER DOOR WAS CLOSED, SPRAYING SHATTERED GLASS INSIDE THE CAB AND THE EXTERIOR SURROUNDING AREA. THE TRUCK HAD BEEN UNUSED FOR OVER A WEEK AND WAS LOCATED IN AN ATTACHED GARAGE HAVING AN AVERAGE NIGHT TEMPERATURE IN THE HIGH 30S F. THE TRUCK HAD NOT BEEN STARTED AND THE REAR DEFROSTER HAS NEVER BEEN USED. MILEAGE ON THE TRUCK IS 9782 AND THERE WAS NO KNOWN DAMAGE (NICKS, SCRATCHES, ETC) TO THE WINDOW.
I WAS PULLING INTO WAL-MART IN WHITE SETTLEMENT, WENT TO BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN AND IT FELT LIKE THE PRESSURE WAS COMPLETELY GONE CAUSING ME TO BRAKE HARDER TO STOP.
6.2L ENGINE WITH 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION. ERRATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTING INCLUDING DOWNSHIFTS SO HARD ON THE HIGHWAY THE REAR WHEELS WILL LOCK UP MOMENTARILY AND THROW OCCUPANTS FORWARD. TAKING OFF FROM STOPLIGHT WILL INTERMITTENTLY EXPERIENCE DELAYED ENGAGEMENT AND ENGINE WILL REV TO ALMOST 1500RPMS BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGES. TIRES BARK, SCARES THE HECK OUT OF DRIVER WHO THEM IMMEDIATLEY SLAMS ON BRAKES IN TRAFFIC THINKING SOMETHING BROKE. DEALERSHIP CITES NORMAL OPERATION WITH NO FIXES AVAILABLE FROM GM. LOTS OF SIMILAR STORIES ONLINE AND THE FIRST CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST GM FOR THESE 8 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS HAS BEEN FILED.
The " service trailer brake system" light has been coming on for about 3 yrs in my truck. I have asked the dealer about this, and all I hear is it will cost me about $200 just to find out what is causing this. I was also told I could clear this just by pressing the dismiss button, which I have been doing. I don't feel this is the way to fix the problem. Since I do a lot of towing, I feel this is putting both mine and other lives in danger, since I don't know if my brakes are going to work or fail. I have recently discovered that this is a very common defect in this vehicle and is due to a faulty wire harness, which could fail at any time and cause a brake failure. I am truly afraid to operate this vehicle, and feel ALL 2017 silverado's should be recalled, and this faulty wire harness replaced, before people die.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MID STATE CHEVROLET BUICK (26 DAYS DR I 79 EXIT 67, SUTTON, WV 26601, (866) 596-3984) AND A NEW WATER PUMP WAS INSTALLED ALONG WITH NEW INJECTORS; HOWEVER, THE ODOR OF ANTI-FREEZE RETURNED DAYS LATER. THE ENGINE ALSO CONTINUED TO LEAK ANTI-FREEZE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,600.
THIS MORNING AT LOW SPEED STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND AGAIN WHEN LOW SPEED PARKING THE BLACK PEDAL BECAME HARD TO PUSH AND CAR WOULD NOT STOP PROPERLY. HAPPENED BOTH DIRECTIONS WHILE PARKING. WILL TAKE TO THE DEALER THIS AFTERNOON. SEEMS TO BRAKE FINE AT HIGHER SPEEDS AND SLOWING FROM HIGHER SPEEDS. SCARY
THE BACK MIDDLE PASSENGER SEAT BELT PLASTIC DOES STAY IN THE UPPER SHOULDER AREA CAUSING THE SEAT BELT TO GO TO THE SIDE AND UNABLE TO ADJUST. OTHER AC HAS A LEAK I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A TRUCK OF THE AGE OF 2 YEARS I SEE OTHER GOT REPAIR BUT MINE IS NOT ON A LIST OF REPAIRS I CAN NOT AFFORD THIS EXPENSIVE.

MO INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED BEFORE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS TAKEN TO PAYNE CHEVROLET BUICK GMC 2229 E EXPRESSWAY 83, WESLACO, TX 78599 WERE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE REPAIR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE 16,000.
PAINT SEEMS TO CHIP AND PEEL EXTREMELY EASILY, ESPECIALLY FROM THE FRONT BUMPER
TRUCK WAS DROPPED OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP, FOR LOSS AND STICKING OF POWER STEERING. THEY COMPLETED SOME TESTS REPLACED A PART AND DID A FULL TEST DRIVE. I PICKED UP THE TRUCK, DROVE HALFWAY HOME BARELY MADE IT COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING AGAIN.
THIS THE THIRD TIME THAT THE DOOR LATCH IS NOT WORKING ON DIFFERENT DOORS NOT JUST IN ONE 3-4 MONTHS AGO THEY REPLACED ONE OF THE LATCH THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR, KNOW I HAVE THE DRIVER SIDE AND REAR DRIVE SIDE

LOCATED AT 5697 W BROADWAY, MCCORDSVILLE, IN 46055, (317) 660-1858, AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE AIR COMPRESSOR WAS LEAKING AND NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
BODY PAINT CHIPPING. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN ABOUT A YEAR OLD.
A ROUGH CLUNK NOISE OCCURS WHEN TRYING TO STOP, AND CAR ACTUALLY REVS TO ACCELERATE SPEED WHEN APPLYING BREAKING AND TRYING TO STOP. (IN . MOTION) THIS IS A DANGEROUS ISSUE. TRANSMISSION DOES NOT APPEAR TO SMOOTHLY ENTER INTO SUBSEQUENT GEARS. A JERK OCCURS IN BETWEEN SHIFTING OF GEARS. (MOVING) I HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY STOPPED ON A FLAT STREET, AND RELAX MY FOOT OFF THE BREAK, AND THE CAR WANTS TO LEAP JUMP FORWARD. THIS IS NOT SAFE. (STOPPED) THERE ARE SEVERAL REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE FOUND IN ONLINE FORUMS FROM OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME 2017 CHEVY SILVERADO. JUST PURCHASED VEHICLE IN NOVEMBER.
THIS MORNING I WAS DRIVING TO WORK. STABILTRAK ERROR MESSAGE CAME ON MY HUD. CLUSTER AND DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLASHED OFF. STOPPED. EVERYTHING FLASHED BACK ON AND RADIO PRESETS WERE ALL GONE. NOT SURE IF THIS WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP HAPPENING OR IF IT IS A FROZEN SENSOR, SINCE IT HAS BEEN BELOW 32 DEGREES HERE.
DRIVING SLOW AT DRIVE THRU LOST POWER BRAKES
WHEN PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE THE BRAKES BECAME REALLY HARD TO PUSH AND TOOK LONGER FOR BRAKES TO APPLY TO STOP THE VEHICLE. TOOK THE TRUCK TO MK SMITH CHEVROLET IN CHINO, CA AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AS A FAULTY VACUUM BRAKE PUMP AND REPLACED IT SINCE IT WAS UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY.
THE FUEL PEDAL FLEXES WHEN ACCELERATING. ITS MOUNTED BY PLASTIC AND IT MOVES WHILE THE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED.
TL* A POLICE OFFICER REPORTED THAT THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE OFFICER STATED THAT WHILE THE DRIVER WAS TRAVELING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. WHILE CONTINUING TO DRIVE, THE STEERING SEIZED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE STRUCK THE CONCRETE DIVIDER, CROSSED THE MEDIAN, AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED UNKNOWN INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE POLICE OFFICER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BE TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE DRIVER CALLED AN UNKNOWN DEALER, BUT NO INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. *DT*JB
BRAKES BECOME STIFF AND INOPERABLE AT LOW SPEEDS AFTER 2-3 PUMPS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V645000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO BRAKE IMMEDIATELY. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR THE BODY REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 9-5039253021. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR DOESN'T WORK. IT DOES NOT READ THE CORRECT TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE. THIS IMPACTS THE A/C, WHICH DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY WHEN THE SENSOR IS NOT READING THE CORRECT EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE. THE FAIRFIELD CHEVROLET SERVICE DEPARTMENT REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE, LET ALONE FIX OR REPLACE THE SENSOR. I USE MY TRUCK ON RANCHES AND LOGGING PROPERTIES WHERE IT IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO DRIVE OVER 20MPH FOR 5 MINUTES. AND WHEN IT IS 105 DEGREES AND THE A/C THINKS IT IS ONLY 65 OUTSIDE, THE A/C DOES NOT ENGAGE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT KEEPS TELLING ME THAT THEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO IT MUST NOT BE REAL. THIS IS THE EQUIVALENT OF CALLING ME A LIAR IN ORDER TO AVOID HONORING THE WARRANTY.
THE CODES SHOULD NOT ALLOW YOU TO USE THE STARTER AND IT DOSE WILL BE GOIING DOWN THE ROAD AND LOSES POWER.WENT THROUGH 5 WIRE HARRNESSES WITH IN THE 5 MONTHS
THE PICKUP SHAKES AT SPEEDS TYPICALLY BETWEEN 30-45 AND 55-75. IT SHAKES HARD ENOUGH AND LONG ENOUGH AT TIMES WHERE AT HIGHER SPEEDS BECOMES DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT COMPROMISES THE STEERING WHERE THE TRUCK CAN COME OFF ITS LINE AND BECOME UNSTABLE. IT WILL ALSO SHAKE RANDOMLY AND FOR UNKNOWN PERIODS OF TIME. WHEN IT STARTS I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT AND NO CONTROL OVER WHEN IT STARTS OR STOPS. I HAVE BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALER A COUPLE TIMES NOW. THE FIRST TIME THEY SAID I NEEDED TO REBALANCE THE WHEELS AND PUT ON NEW TIRES SO I DID BOTH. THE SECOND TIME THEY SAID IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN WHEN IT DEACTIVATES 4 CYLINDERS. THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS AND IT SEEMS THAT IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS SPECIFIC ENGINE AND GM IS CLAIMING THERE IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE AS THE TRUCK BECOMES UNSTABLE AND STEERING IS COMPROMISED. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE ESPECIALLY IF THIS CONTINUES INTO WINTER MONTHS WHERE ROAD CONDITIONS ARE NOT THE BEST.

MY WIFE HAS A 2017 CAMARO THAT IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THEY ARE REPLACING THE FAULTY TORQUE CONVERTERS IN VEHICLES WITH 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION, BUT WILL NOT REPLACE MINE BECAUSE GM HAS PUT A BLOCK ON MY WARRANTY. GM CANNOT PROVIDE ANY EVIDENCE GIVING THEM REASON TO BLOCK MY WARRANTY ON MY VEHICLE.

THE 8-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EXHIBITS NUMEROUS ISSUES. 1) WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO UNDER 10 MPH, AS IF YOU WERE YIELDING TO TRAFFIC AND THEN PRESSING THE THROTTLE TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE, TWO ISSUES CAN OCCUR. FIRST, THE VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION CAN HESITATE BETWEEN GEARS, PROVIDING NO POWER TO THE WHEELS. SECOND, WHEN VEHICLE DOES SHIFT INTO A GEAR, THE VEHICLE CAN LURCH FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY AS IF YOU WERE HIT FROM BEHIND. THERE IS SOMETIMES AN AUDIBLE "CLANK" WHEN THIS ISSUE OCCURS. THIS ISSUE CAN PREVENT A DRIVER FROM SUCCESSFULLY ENTERING TRAFFIC DUE TO LOSS OF INSTANT POWER TO THE WHEELS. 2) DURING LOW-SPEED ACCELERATION, THE VEHICLE CAN HESITATE BETWEEN THE FIRST THREE GEARS, PROVIDING NO POWER TO THE WHEELS. IT HAS A SIMILAR FEEL TO A TRANSMISSION THAT WAS SLIPPING. THIS CAN CAUSE A DRIVER TO OVER-CORRECT THE DEFICIENCY IN POWER TO THE WHEELS BY APPLYING EXCESSIVE THROTTLE AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. 3) WHEN PROCEEDING SLOWLY IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, THE VEHICLE CAN SHIFT UP OR DOWN SUDDENLY, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LURCH FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY. THERE IS SOMETIMES AN AUDIBLE "CLANK" WHEN THIS ISSUE OCCURS. THIS CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STRIKE THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE, IN TIGHT TRAFFIC, IF THE DRIVER ISN'T PREPARED TO APPLY THE BRAKE WHEN THE EVENT OCCURS. 4) WHEN DRIVING NORMALLY, THE TRANSMISSION MAY HESITATE TO DOWNSHIFT WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS APPLIED AS WOULD BE NECESSARY WHEN TRYING TO PASS A VEHICLE. THIS DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE GEAR DEPENDENT. THE LOSS OF INSTANT POWER CAN PREVENT THE DRIVER FROM SUCCESSFULLY OVERTAKING ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THE EVENT THEY NEED TO CONDUCT A PASSING MANEUVER.
