I am wanting to report an issue with my 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, yesterday no January 23,2023 as we were driving on the highway my suburban suddenly stopped going into drive and the RPM's shot all the way up. We were going 65mph and were almost hit by an 18-wheeler that was behind us. We got to an exit and had to stop it scared our kids, the check engine light came on and were only able to drive 20 mph to make it home safely. We had the check engine light that came on checked and it came back with codes P0796 & P0700 we have looked it up and were not able to find a solution to these codes but i was able to find multiple people with the same issue and no solutions for them as well. Prior to the incident the car would accelerate on its own while you were driving. I Have called and searched for a recall but there is nothing listed, I think a recall should be placed since there are so many other people with the same issue. My vehicle has 107k. miles the others have a lot less miles on them.
Purchased my 2016 suburban on 1/14/23 and since it has been “service trailer brake” distracting me from driving . The service chime stops me from listening to music , my turn signals , constantly making me look down . I drove around in total for 4 hours throughout my day and non stop. I’ve contacted the dealership and told me to wait till the end of the week.
The vehicle will just stop operating while driving. This past Sunday, December 18, 2022, I was driving to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game and turning into the parking lot and the vehicle just stopped operating, completely turned off. Couldn't turn steering wheel, put into neutral or anything. Police assisted me as I was blocking the main road to the parking lot. No electrical in the vehicle. This happened a few times before but the car would usually restart quickly. This time it sat for over 5 minutes and then for some reason I was able to get it restarted. There is a service bulletin for this issue from Chevrolet TSB PIT5405, however there are no parts available for this fix. This is a very dangerous situation as this happened in the middle of a major road and could happen at anytime without any warning. Luckily no one has been hurt or any accident but it is scary to say the least.
While driving at speed between 18-35mph the transmission began to shutter. I attempted to make a left turn and the vehicle would not accelerate as I pushed on gas pedal. I believe the transmission failed almost causing us to be T-boned by another vehicle approaching intersection from opposite direction. This is definitely a important safety concern.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that after restarting the vehicle, the vehicle would not properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the vehicle eventually stalled. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle would not accelerate above 10 MPH. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the torque converter was faulty and had caused damage to the transmission. The contact was advised that the transmission needed to be repaired. The transmission was repaired, and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 123,123.
Issue with Power Braking System. Has longer than normal stopping distance when braking. Hissing noise coming from Power Brake Pump under the hood. Loses air pressure in brakes very easily. We are afraid to drive this vehicle because this will eventually cause a crash. Mechanic stated this is a known issue with these vehicles of this Year/Make/Model and was on the recall list. This is a known issue that shows reports online my vehicle has issues/recalls on but for some reason my VIN isn't showing the recall. There is no warning message lit up on the dashboard. Mechanic was able to check the OBD computer to pull a code of (C0299-00). I have reached out to a Chevrolet dealership who is supposed to be looking into this for me but I wanted to reach out to you guys as well.
While the vehicle was in PARK on very slight incline, the vehicle began rolling forward on its own. No one was sitting in the driver seat, and the vehicle was not running. The vehicle rolled 6 feet into a tree. The tree stopped the vehicle from rolling off a 10 foot embankment. A minor was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the incident. Minor damage occurred to the front grille and hood. No insurance or police were notified. No warning lamps or messages were displayed. The problem has not been reproduced.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the torque converter was faulty and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 146,000.
I was getting on the expressway and with no warning as I was speeding up to merge with traffic my RPM’s went through the roof.I felt like I wasn’t going to get up to speed to merge with traffic cars had to slow down to let me on at the end of the merge lane.So I put the cruise on at 50 miles an hour. After I left the expressway it did the same thing when I had to stop at a traffic light, it took a long time to get up to speed limit with cars passing me. I had a check engine light come on as I got home, but I couldn’t back into my driveway like I usually did. No reverse. So I put an OBD-ll reader on it to check the engine light and it was a P0750 for a solenoid. Young’s confirmed this but said I needed a new Transmission and that the one in it was bad, even said it was their bread and butter of transmissions. Now I can see why!
The torque converter/transmission failed in my 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. It started shuddering while I was driving--no warning lights, system errors, info panel alerts or anything--and I came close to losing control of the vehicle, risking the lives of pedestrians, other drivers, myself, and my passengers. The torque converter/transmission problem was confirmed by a 3rd party mechanic, and also by TWO Chevrolet dealerships. Additionally, my mechanic informed me there was an active Technical Service Bulletin relating to this issue: #N212338770: "High Severity Fleet Transmission Torque Converter Proactive Service to Prevent Potential Failure." They told me to take it to a dealership—the dealership should pay for the repair. The TSB even states, "Dealers are to service all vehicles subject to this program at no charge to customers, regardless of mileage, age of vehicle, or ownership, through February 28, 2023." However, I have since contacted FOUR different Chevrolet dealerships, and have paid for TWO additional diagnostic testing fees (in addition to the one I already paid my trusted mechanic). I am now out almost $500 and am no closer to having my vehicle repaired and safe to drive. I'm a single mom of 5 so it's rather important I have a mode of transportation that will fit my entire family. I cannot afford a rental for the likely 3 to 6 WEEKS I will be without my vehicle. I'm at a loss and have no idea what to even do next.
Power brake failure as described in NHTSA 19V645 and 20V603. The problem and solution is identified by CHEVROLET Special Coverage bulletin N182202780-01 (October 11, 2019): BRAKE ASSIST DECREASE DUE TO VACUUM LOSS. Dealer CONCORD CHEVROLET (CA) would not recognize the Special Coverage Bulletin or fix the problem. CHEVROLET was notified and has not agreed to repair (case#9-8126430790).
While driving the alert “Service Trailer Break System” chimes and shows up on my dash so much that my car is un drivable. I don't even nor have I ever towed anything with my Chevy suburban before. So I have never even used the trailer break system before either.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle had previously been serviced under NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control) and 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) at the dealer; however, the failure recurred after the recalls were repaired with a stiff brake pedal and increased braking effort while driving. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle went over a curve and the front passenger's side crashed into a tree, then came to a complete stop in a ditch. There were no air bags deployed. The contact's wife sustained neck and back injuries but did not receive medical attention. The vehicle was towed to Coughlin Hyundai (2300 Hebron Rd, Heath, OH 43056) where it remained and was not repaired. The vehicle was not deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. Prior to the failure, the contact was receiving notifications from OnStar that NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control) was unrepaired. The failure mileage was 111,572.
I noticed when driving in parking lots or at low speeds the brakes seem like you have to put more force to get the vehicle to stop.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while his wife was driving approximately 70 MPH, she felt the vehicle decelerate while the RPM’s increased. Additionally, there was a loud noise coming from the engine. The contact stated that his wife observed that the transmission warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that his wife was able to pull over safely. The contact towed the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76,133. Pump on the transmission went which caused the toque converter to get damaged. They replaced the entire transmission.
When rolling in a parking lot or trying to park and not pushing the gas: When you try to stop or slow down and push the break it just goes to the floor and the car continues to roll forward. You have to immediately throw the SUV from drive to park in order to get it to stop moving or it would literally roll into whatever you were trying to stop for. Pulling out of parking lots or up to stop signs, it will do it then too. Anytime you rolling and then having to stop suddenly. But it doesn’t happen all the time. That’s the scary part.
After replacing my transmission on my 2016 suburban at 83k miles at the cost of $6,097 in January 2022, I was endangered again on 3/2/22 when I attempted to drive on the interstate. My SUV failed to accelerate and the check engine light started flashing. Thankfully, I was able to maneuver and exit the interstate as soon as possible and waited two weeks for an appointment at my local dealer. I did not drive the car on the interstate during this two weeks. I am told that my engine is misfiring and they are going to try to figure out why. My car (that is barely 5 years old - purchased 2/14/17) has both transmission failures and engine problems. And the air conditioner failed. The list goes on and on. NHTSA please check into accidents involving chevrolets. I could easily have died on the interstate two weeks ago and no one would have known that it was because my car would not accelerate. I am thankful to be alive after so many close calls with this car, but also fearful for my safety and others.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, the electrical power fluctuated, and the steering wheel jerked abnormally and became difficult to turn. The instrument panel lights turned off with an audible bell chime. The contact stated that during the failure, the engine remained operable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the battery, and the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure later reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure and no service was performed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 117,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) in 2019. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10-25 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact continued to depress the brake pedal, which responded just before the vehicle crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The contact veered to the side of the road and parked the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vacuum pump and belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired under an unknown warranty. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 72,779.
While backing up and going forward at a slow speed the car did not stop. The brake pedal was hard and my foot pressure did not help it stop. Terrible feeling. When I turned the vehicle off and back on the brakes seemed to work. This is worrisome. I bought the car used with the car fax stating it had previous minor front end damage. I am concerned this has happened before.
Car is unable to be driven. Transmission needs to be replaced according to chevy dealer, James Corlew, in Clarksville, Tennessee. It has just over 83,000 miles, has never towed anything, not even once. This is clearly a defective transmission as seen in other models/years and Chevy should be covering this. Many, many complaints from other owners regarding this as well as a class action lawsuit that I have read about online regarding this.
Car dies randomly while driving taken it to multiple dealerships and they can’t figure it out changed batteries tightened grounds had dealership check everything and they can’t see any problem but have almost been hit and in bad accidents due to this. Car will drive fine then randomly die while in motion losing power steering and brakes and then locked into car without any thing working can’t use flashers or anything just stuck until about 15 mins car will randomly start again.
On Friday evening, I noticed a higher revving noise when accelerating at lower speeds. The noise appeared to resolve at higher speeds. The noise continued into Saturday. After driving approximately 90 miles Saturday, while at highway speeds of 75mph, the engine stopped accelerating and began dropping speed. When pushing the gas pedal, the rpm revved up to 3-4000 immediately with no change in speed. Arriving at the destination quickly, I turned the car off. My husband got in approximately 5 minutes later, turned the car on, put it in drive, and the car immediately went backwards. This happened multiple times even though the car was in drive and the accelerator was pushed. The following morning (Sunday) after being turned off approximately 16 hours, the car cranked and drove normally through the yard about 500 feet. The car was then trailered 100 miles back home where it sits awaiting placement at the mechanic shop for diagnosis. At no point, including while driving, were there any warning signs/lights/noises to indicate the engine was failing. Thankfully children were not present in the car at the time, however this could have been a catastrophic event.
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the transmission shifted hard and made an abnormal humming sound. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the transmission was previously replaced 11/2021 and 11/2022. Additionally, the contact stated that there were only 3,000 miles within the two previous transmission replacements. The contact stated that the first transmission replacement was covered by the warranty company and the second transmission replacement was covered by the manufacturer. The contact stated that another replacement would be the third transmission replacement since 2021. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was provided a Trade-In Offer. The failure mileage was 61,619.
My 2016 suburban is giving false alerts warnings, making my suv unable to change lines on highway or making it hard to do so. Unable to detect rear cross traffic.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE - approximately 4 hours away from home, the transmission failed without warning. No warning lights or prior issue. We were stranded on the side of a major interstate for two hours awaiting a tow truck. After being towed to an independent service station, the mechanics discovered complete disintegration of the unit. There were no incident codes on the computer. A salvaged transmission was located and installed. Upon arriving back home, we had the dealer examine the vehicle which found no lingering issues. Once again, there were no incident codes on the computer.
The contact's husband owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while her husband had merged onto the highway at 30 MPH, the vehicle began to hesitate without warning upon depression of the accelerator pedal. Her husband pulled the vehicle over and attempted to restart the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was initially towed to their home and then to the dealer where they diagnosed the vehicle with a faulty transmission. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and denied covering the cost of the repair due to the vehicle being out of warranty. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 113,000.
Transmission went out with less than 90,000 miles. I am the original owner, kept up with the maintenance services and never towed anything. I spent $3,800 to rebuild the transmission. This has been a common problem but no recall from Chevrolet.
Loss of breaking power observed at low speeds. Has occurred three times in recent weeks when accelerating forward into a parking space, and when attempting to brake when coasting in reverse out of an inclined driveway. Brake cannot be depressed.
When stepping on brake the electrical system went off for several seconds as in the entire dash shut off, then later when driving at low speeds and backing up dash reads stabilizer track and jerks the steering wheel out of hands
At low speeds while steering, the steering wheel locks up for 1 or 2 seconds causing the vehicle to drive in an unintended direction. This is sometimes accompanied by the electrical system rebooting, and sometimes, there is no warnings at all. It has happened to us 4 times in the last six months. The dealer has had the car twice and is unable to reproduce or diagnose. In addition, sometimes the car has rebooted while driving 60 mph on highways. When this happens, it has engaged cruise control at least three times. I don't view this as unsafe as the steering description given above.
Front passenger Spindle / Thimble that connects the lower ball joint sheared off. Suburban drops to ground, bolt end of lower ball joint hits and breaks through back of wheel that results in a deflated tier. Repair items listed by Chevy Service Center. Replace right lower ball joint Alignment Replace right front steering knuckle Replace right front wheel, monitor and stem, reprogram Replace broken front spoiler Replace RF fender liner With the low speed of travel , about 8mph there were no safety issues. Vehicle and broken steering knuckle has been inspected by Service Agent and Manager at Fred Bean Chevy, Doylestown, PM. Their position is normal wear, "We must have had impact at some time to cause initial fracture". Extended Warranty agrees with view stated from Fred Bean. Our insurance company is sending an agent to inspect. No warning lamps, messages, etc presented in driver display.
Reduced or loss of power steering assist. Steering wheel jerks or kicks back when turning. Service Stabilitrak message with warning chime. Engine stall. IPC going blank or inoperative. Radio/ICS going blank. HVAC going blank. Hood ajar message and/or dome lamps flash when shifting into reverse. Alarm sounds when locking doors or door locks cycling. Wipers continue to run for a short time after turning off and then stop/park in the incorrect location Engine stall and loss of steering almost caused a collision putting mine and others lives at risk. This has happened seven times since I bought the car in July 2021. No warning its going to happen other than dash lights flicker , warning lights on, steering fails, car dies, won't restart. GM has a Technical Service Bulletin #18-NA-161 . I hope you can do something about this serious problem before someone is serious hurt or dies. Thank you
TRANSMISSION JUST STARTED ACTING WEIRD. THE FLUID WAS CHANGED AND NOW IS WORSE THAN BEFORE. IT SHIFTS HARD OR THE RPM REVS UP TO ALMOST 3000 RPM BEFORE FINALLY SHIFTING TO THE NEXT GEAR. IT HAPPENS IN MOTION AND ON A STREET IN A CITY.
THE BRAKES ACT LIKE THEY WONT WORK. WHEN YOU HIT THEM THERE IS A PULSATING FEELING AND WHEN I WAS TRYING TO STOP LAST NIGHT I ALMOST HIT A CAR. WHEN I PULLED OUT OF THE PARKING LOT, I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE AND PUSH DOWN WHERE I FELT THE AIR ACTUALLY LEAVING THE LINE. WEVE ALREADY REPLACED THE FRONT AND REAR BREAKS THINKING THAT WAS THE ISSUE AND ITS STILL HAPPENING. WE BOUGHT THE CAR IN MAY 2020 AND THIS STARTED HAPPENING AROUND 12/2020
ISSUES WITH STABILITRAK AND ANTILOCK BRAKE. IT'S MAKING IT HARDER TO BRAKE.
BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER HEATED ELEMENTS NO LONGER ARE FUNCTIONAL. TEMPERATURE DOESN'T GET WARM ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, AND DRIVER SIDE DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THIS WAY, AND MECHANICS SAID GM MADE THE LOW TEMP MANDATORY, TRIED TO EXPLAIN, NOT WORKING AT ALL. THE INSISTED IT WAS A GM MANUFACTURING ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION HAS JUMPED AND NOT SHIFTED SMOOTHY SINCW 20,000 MILES. AT 100,000 MILE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT.WOULD NOT DRIVE OVER 45 MPH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED ENGINE MISFIRING AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD MALFUNCTION CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STOP ACCELERATING WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER BOLIVIA CHEVROLET (199 NJ-17, EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ 07073) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000. INVALID VIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED BRAKE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET TAKEN TO A DEALER HOWEVER, DAVIS GAINESVILLE CHEVROLET (2600 N MAIN ST, GAINESVILLE, FL 32609, (352) 519-4131) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED.
WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE MOTOR LOSES POWER OR FEELS LIKE WANTS TO TURN OFF. WHEN DRIVING ON FREEWAY THE SUV SOMETIMES TRYS TO BRAKE BY ITSELF AND WARNED THAT SOMETHING WAS IN FRONT OF ME WITH A CLEAR FREEWAY.
VEHICLE HAS HAD BRAKE AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES FOR 2 YEARS NOW, CULMINATING IN COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE ON 12/20/20.
PEDAL HARD TO PRESS, VIBRATION AND LONGER STOPPING DISTANCE.
HARD TO PRESS, VIBRATION AND LONGER STOPPING DISTANCE.
AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY AND DEALER CANNOT FIND PROBLEM. IT WILL COME ON WHEN STARTING CAR AND GO OFF OR STAY ON WHEN DRIVING. STARTED HAPPENING AT 55000MI. NOW 153000 AND STILL INTERMITTENT.
THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 10 DIFFERENT TIMES WITHIN A MONTH. FIRST TIME I WAS PARKED AND WHEN I WENT TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE, I TRIED TO TURN STEERING WHEEL AND IT SEEMED TO LOCK UP AND ALL THE LIGHTS STARTED TO FLICKER. AFTER ABOUT A SECOND IT ALLOWED ME TO USE STEERING WHEEL. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT A VERY SLOW SPEED. WHEN I DRIVE THROUGH AT RESTARAUNTS, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP. THE RADIO WILL QUIT PLAYING. IF I TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART IT THE RADIO WILL WORK ONCE AGAIN. WHEN THE VEHICLE DOES THIS, NONE OF THE TURNING SIGNALS WORK.
I HAVE HAD 2 SUBURBAN IN THE LAST 5 YEARS AND THE TRANSMISSION FAILED RIGHT AROUND 100K MILES ON BOTH. THEY HAVE A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH IT BUT HAVE MANAGED TO GET AWAY WITH IT AS THERE HAS BEEN NO CLASS ACTION AGAINST IT. MY 2015 SUBURBAN BROKE DOWN AROUND 96K MILES AND MY 2016 SUBURBAN AT 101K. I'M SURE IF THIS IS FURTHER RESEARCHED THEN 90% OF THE THESE MODELS MUST HAVE REPORTED THE SAME PROBLEM AROUND 100K. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SUE GM OVER THIS, AS AFTER SPENDING OVER US$125000.00 ON MAKING PAYMENTS ON 2 CARS AND DON'T HAVE A CAR THAT I CAN TRUST FOR LONG TRIPS, AS IT ALWAYS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS WITH MY FAMILY ON A LONG TRIP AND HAD TO SPEND THOUSANDS IN MAKING ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS TO GET HOME SAFELY. BEFORE MY LAST TRIP, I SENT MY SUBURBAN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR A 100K MILES SERVICE AT 99836 MILES WHERE I WAS IN WARRANTY WHERE THEY CHECKED AND SAID EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE FOR THE TRIP AND DID A BASIC OIL CHANGE WITH INSPECTION BUT AFTER A WEEK OF TOURING THE TRANSMISSION BOKE DOWN AT AROUND 101250 MILES. WHERE I HAD TO SHELL OUT $6200 IN TOTAL AS THE CAR WENT OUT OF WARRANTY IN A WEEK TIME. THE BREAK DOWN IS $4500 FOR REPAIRS, $850 FOR SHIPPING THE CAR, $500 IN CAR RENTAL AND HOTEL, $350 BROKEN WINDSHIELD IN TRANSIT. BOTH OF MY CARS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR THE SERVICE AND PERIODIC MAINTENANCE BUT ITS THEIR DEFECTED TRANSMISSION THAT WOULD NEVER HOLD UP. I'M LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO WOULD WANT TO MAKE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS AND BRING JUSTICE TO ALL OWNERS. I HAVE THE VIN FOR BOTH OF MY SUBURBAN WHERE ONE WAS BOUGHT USED WITH ONLY 8K MILES ON IT WITH EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE OTHER WAS BRAND NEW.
SUBURBAN HAS 125,000 MILES. NO WARNING LIGHTS EVER CAME ON. IT WAS DRIVING FINE. STOPPED AT A GAS STATION AND PUT IT IN PARK. WHEN IT WAS PUT BACK IN DRIVE, IT WOULDN'T GO. THE RPM'S REVVED UP AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR. AFTER STOPPING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, RE-STARTED VEHICLE. IT WENT INTO DRIVE AND GOT US TO A SAFE LOCATION. HOWEVER, AS SOON AS WE TRIED TO GO ANYWHERE, IT CONTINUED TO NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR. STILL NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. IT WAS TAKEN TO A CHEVROLET SERVICE CENTER. THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION PUMP WAS OUT. ADDITIONALLY, THEY HAVE BEEN REPAIRING 3-4 2016 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN TRANSMISSIONS EVERY MONTH. ALL WITH LOW MILES.
ROLLLING DOWN MY DRIVE WAY MY BRAKES WENT OUT. VERY SPONGY. PRESSED MULTIPLE TIMES AND WAS ABLE TO COME TO A STOP WITH THE HELP OF MY FRONT BUSHES. MASTER CYLINDER IS FULL BRAKES ARE LESS THAN A YEAR. I SEE ONLINE THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH 2014-2018 CHEVY TRUCKS AND SUVS. IF MY WIFE WAS DRIVING SHE COULD HAVE BEEN HURT. HEAVEN FORBID MY KIDS WHERE IN THERE TOO. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING AND DESIGN AND SHOULD BE REMEDIED BY CHEVY.
TRANSMISSION IS IN NEED OF A REBUILD WITH ONLY 109,000 MILES. VERY FRUSTRATING FOR A VEHICLE AS EXPENSIVE AS THIS.
