THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66.
WIND NOISE, CAB BUFFETING
I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE SINCE JUNE 2015 AND HAD THE TAHOE WITH AUTONATION CHEVY ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS. AT ONE POINT IT WAS THERE FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS. THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE SHAKES AT 77 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THE ENTIRE FRONT END SHAKES. THEY HAVE CHANGED THE MOTOR MOUNTS, REAR TIRES AND THEY HAVE ALIGNED VEHICLE. THEY HAVE FOUND NOTHING. THEY OFFERED TO DO A BUY BACK BUT OF COURSE WITH A LOSS TO ME AND I FEEL THIS IS NOT MY PROBLEM. I DID NOT BUILD THE VEHICLE. NOW AFTER TO SPEAKING TO THE NEW SERVICE MANAGER AT MY DEALERSHIP THEY SAY THERE IS AN ENGINEERING DEFECT. PLEASE FIX IT IS ALL I ASK OF CHEVY. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP???
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED FROM THE V8 TO 4 CYLINDER MOTOR, THE VEHICLE BEGAN VIBRATING SEVERELY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INHERENT TO THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000.
THE ALERTS ARE DEAFENING WITH NO WAY TO THEM DOWN OR OFF. VERY PAINFUL TO EAR. THEY COME ON FOR EVERY LITTLE THING. THE CHIME VOLUME IS ALL THE WAY DOWN BUT THEY ARE LOUDER THAN ANY CAR I RENT OR HAVE EVER DRIVEN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIFTGATE SENSOR BECAME INOPERABLE WHENEVER THE SENSOR WAS TOUCHED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE LIFTGATE INDEPENDENTLY OPENED OR CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FOOT SENSOR COULD NOT BE DEACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE CONTACT WANTED THE SENSOR DEACTIVATED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,400.
MY 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRANSFER CASE MAKES A HIGH PITCHED NOISE WHEN IT IS IN 4AUTO AND 4 HIGH. GM TOLD ME THIS IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE TRANFER CASE THATS INSTALLED IN MY SUV. NOT ALL TRANSFERENCE MAKE THIS NOISE, THE TAHOE LOANER CAR DOES NOT MAKE THIS NOISE. MY BOTHERS 2015 SILVERADO MADE THE SAME NOISE IN 4 AUTO AND HIGH
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO REVERSE AT NIGHT, THE REAR CAMERA FAILED TO DISPLAY AN IMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOVE CHEVROLET (100 PARKRIDGE DR, COLUMBIA, SC 29212, (803) 454-9382) THREE TIMES AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED IN THAT MANNER AND IT WOULD BE THE ENGINEER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 600.
MY WIFE AND MYSELF PURCHASED A NEW CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ IN 2015. THE FIRST MONTH THE A/C HAD TO BE REPLACED, RAC AND PINION STEERING AND REAR SHOCKS. THE WARRANTY COVERED THE COST. 2016 OF JANUARY THE A/C STARTED MAKING NOISES AND NOT COOILNG, THE FRONT STRUTS MAGNETIC,BALL JOINTS AND STEERING RACK PINION WENT OUT. THIRD OCCURRENCE WAS IN 2017 DECEMBER THE FRONT MAGNETIC STRUCTS AGAIN. WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS NEW VEHICLE FROM THE TIME WE PURCHASED IT. THE SUSPENSION IS HORRIBLE AND WE LATER FOUND OUT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF OTHERS WITH THE IDENTITCAL HORRIBLE SUSPENSION PROBLEM. THIS VEHICLE IS PRESENTLY AT 62K MILE AND NEEDS FRONT END SUSPENSION REPLACEMENT. THE WARRANTY DO NOT COVER PASS THREE YEARS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS HORRIBLE GENERAL MOTORS PRODUCT. THE VEHICLE IS PRESENTLY INOPERABLE BECAUSE OF SUSPENSION PROBLEMS AND GM WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT.
CABIN VIBRATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS DEALER SAID THERE IS NO FIX AND IS NOT LOOKING TO CORRECT ISSUE.
WIND NOISE AND BUFFETING IN CAB DRIVING DISTRACTION
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE'S DRIVER SEAT WILL MOVE FORWARDS AND BACKWARDS MAKING IT UNABLE TO REACH PEDALS TO STOP SAFELY, AIR BAG LIGHT WILL FLASH ERRATICALLY, LOUD TICKING NOISE, MISS-FIRE/VIBRATION WHILE IDLING. BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE TO FIX STILL NOT FIXED, CONTACTED GM ABOUT ISSUES AND TO FILE A COMPLAINT. NOW DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO WORK ON TAHOE
CENTER DOME FLIGHT "STROBES" WHEN BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. THIS SEEMS TO ONLY HAPPEN WHEN HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. THIS IS A KNOW TSB- 1268B. I HAVE CONTACTED BOTH THE DEALER AND GM CUSTOMER SERVICE.- WILL NOT BE COVERED SINCE I AM OUT OF WARRANTY-
ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD WITH THE CAPABILITY FOR DINGY TOWING USING THE OPTIONAL TRANSFER CASE AS PER THE LAST 3 GENERATIONS OF TAHOE'S, IT BECAME APPARENT A DESIGN ISSUE WAS PRESENT THE FIRST TIME I PUT THE CASE IN NEUTRAL AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. I ADVISED THE GM DEALER AND A MONTH LATER THEY CHANGED THE PROCEDURE CALLING FOR BATTERY DISCONNECTION. THIS RESULTS IN THE LOSS OF ALL INFORMATION. THE FIRST TIME I DINGY TOWED THE CAR USING GM PROCEDURES MY ONLY KEY FOB UNSYNCED WITH THE VEHICLE WHEN THE BATTERY WAS RECONNECTED. THIS LEFT ME WITH THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL CONNECTED TO MY BUS WITH NO WAY TO DISCONNECT IT. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO BACK UP WITH THE VEHICLE CONNECTED TO THE BUS AND THERE WAS NO ROOM TO TURN AROUND. I WAS DEAD IN THE WATER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I LEFT THE DEAD KEYFOB ON THE CONSOLE AND WENT TO RETRIEVE MY PHONE TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THE VEHICLE LOCKED ITSELF WITH THE KEY FOB INSIDE. ONSTAR TRIED 4 TIMES TO UNLOCK THE VEHICLE WITHOUT SUCCESS OR RECOGNITION OF THE SIGNAL FROM ONSTAR. GM SENT EMERGENCY SERVICE 3 HOURS LATER AND THEY HAD TO BREAK INTO THE CAR TO OPEN IT. IN ORDER TO UNHOOK THE CAR I HAD TO DRAG A 14' LIMB OUT OF THE WOODS AND BLOCK UP THE BACK WHEELS AND EASE THE BUS BACK ABOUT 1" TO TAKE PRESSURE OFF THE TOWING SYSTEM. I CLEARED THE BUS OUT OF THE ROAD BUT THE VEHICLE SAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD FOR 3 HOURS UNTIL WE UNLOCKED IT. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY TO A PET OR BABY LOCKED IN THE CAR DURING THE HEAT OF THE DAY. THIS IS A GM DESIGN ISSUE AND THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED TO A CURB, THE PLASTIC WIND DEFLECTOR WAS PLACED TOO LOW (APPROXIMATELY EIGHT INCHES FROM THE PAVEMENT), MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO PULL AWAY FROM THE CURB WITHOUT PULLING OUT THE FRONT FENDER. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE FRONT FENDER WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,702. CAR WAS VIBRATING WHEN GETTING ABOVE 45 MILES PER HOUR. THOUGHT WHEELS NEEDED TO BE BALANCED. ONCE BALANCED,PULLED TRAILER AND VIBRATION WAS EXTREMELY WORSE. VIBRATING LIKE WE HAD THE BACK WINDOW ROLLED DOWN, BUT ALL WINDOWS WERE UP. WENT BACK TO DEALER IN NEWNAN GEORGIA AND THEY HOOKED UP A TRAILER TO ANOTHER VEHICLE AND IT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WE THEN BOUGHT NEW TIRES THINKING IT WOULD HELP THE ISSUE. WE HAVE SINCE BOUGHT TWO SETS OF TIRES, CONSTANTLY HAVING THE VEHICLE TIRES ROTATED AND BALANCED TRYING TO MINIMIZE THE VIBRATION. WE ARE CURRENTLY UP TO 53K ON THE VEHICLE AND VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE LUXURY PRICE WE PAID. THIS ALL HAPPENED UPON PURCHASE.
THE CAR FAILS TO LOCK OR DISABLE THE EXTRA KEY (KEY FOB), MAKING IT SUSCEPTIBLE TO THEFT AND JOYRIDING, WHEN 1) PASSIVE LOCKING IS ON, 2) THE EXTRA KEY FOB IS IN THE CAR AND 3) A DOOR IS OPENED AND CLOSED AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS PREVIOUSLY PASSIVELY LOCKED. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO SEVERAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS, CHEVROLET CUSTOMER CARE AND ELEVATED TO CHEVROLET ENGINEERING IN AT LEAST TWO CASES. NOT ONLY DOES THE OWNERS MANUAL STATE THAT PASSIVE LOCKING WORKS WITH ONLY ONE RKE TRANSMITTER (KEY FOB) REMOVED, IT MAKES LOGICAL SENSE THAT IT WOULD BE DESIGNED THAT WAY. FOR EXAMPLE, YOU TAKE YOUR WIFE OUT FOR DINNER. SHE LEAVES HER PURSE IN THE CAR, WITH THE SECOND KEY IN IT, YOU WOULD STILL WANT THE CAR TO PASSIVELY LOCK IF YOU HAD THAT FUNCTION ON AND YOU WALKED AWAY FROM THE CAR. FOLLOWING ARE THE DETAILS OF WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PASSIVE LOCKING IS TURNED ON AND WHAT THE POSSIBLE FATAL CONSEQUENCES MIGHT BE: 1) AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN, THE PASSIVE LOCKING SYSTEM FUNCTIONS PROPERLY AND LOCKS THE CAR WITH BOTH KEY FOBS REMOVED OR WITH ONE FOB IN THE CAR. 2) WITH BOTH FOBS REMOVED, SOMEONE WITH A KEY FOB CAN APPROACH THE CAR AND OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR ANY NUMBER OF TIMES AND EACH TIME THEY WALK AWAY, THE CAR WILL AUTOMATICALLY (PASSIVELY) LOCK. 3) IF ONLY ONE KEY FOB IS REMOVED, SOMEONE WITH THE EXTERNAL FOB CAN APPROACH AND OPEN THE CAR BUT THE CAR WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN THE DOORS ARE CLOSED. ADDITIONALLY, THE KEY FOB INSIDE THE CAR REMAINS ACTIVE AND ALLOWS ANYONE TO ENTER THE CAR, BECAUSE IT IS NOW UNLOCKED, START AND DRIVE IT AWAY. 4) THE UNFORTUNATE BUT POSSIBLE FATAL CONSEQUENCES OF HAVING THE CAR UNLOCKED AND DRIVABLE IS THAT IT COULD BE STOLEN AND INVOLVED IN A FATAL ACCIDENT. POSSIBLE SCENARIOS OF HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN ARE NUMEROUS. GM SHOULD ACKNOWLEDGE THIS SERIOUS MALFUNCTION, ADDRESS IT AND FIX IT BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED.
BAD VIBRATION AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 60 TO 75 MPH ( GM DEALER HAS HAD CAR 3 TIMES AND REPLACED TIRES, ROAD FORCED BALANCED, CHECKED ALIGNMENT WITH NO SUCCESS ) ; WIND NOISE AND BUFFETING INSIDE CAR WITH ALL WINDOWS IN THE UP POSITION AT SPEEDS FROM 35 MPH AND UP CAUSING DIZZINESS AND NAUSEA ON LONGER RIDES. EXTERIOR DOOR PLASTIC FASCIA BECOMES LOOSE AND FALLS OFF DUE TO METAL CLIP BREAKING OFF AT THE ATTACHMENT POINT.

THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE GROUND CONNECTION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V614000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,400.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, IT INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED. THE VEHICLE SPED FROM THE CONTACT'S DRIVEWAY INTO THE FRONT NEIGHBOR'S YARD BEFORE CRASHING INTO THE NEIGHBOR'S AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. AFTER THE CRASH, THE VEHICLE SPUN AROUND UNTIL THE PASSENGER TIRE PARTIALLY SEPARATED FROM THE WHEEL WELL. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKES FAILED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. THERE WERE DEEP SKID MARKS VISIBLE ON THE NEIGHBOR'S YARD. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED FROM THE SCENE VIA AMBULANCE. THE CONTACT WAS TREATED FOR UNKNOWN INJURIES THAT REQUIRED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50. MA 10/14
SIGNIFICANT WIND AND PRESSURE BUFFETING, NOISE AND VIBRATION AT SPEEDS ABOVE 35 MPH. IT IS ESPECIALLY BAD WHEN A REAR WINDOW IS OPEN OR PARTIALLY OPEN.
SEAT MOVES/CLINKS WHEN MAKING TURNS.
WE HAVE BEEN NOTICING AN EXCESSIVE FRESH FUEL SMELL WHICH WE BELIEVE TO BE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST WHEN WE START OUR VEHICLE TO WARM UP PRIOR TO DRIVING IN THE MORNING. ALSO SOUNDS LIKE EXHAUST IS MISSING A LITTLE AT IDLE. TOOK IT IN AND DEALER COULD NOT FIND ANY CODES RELATING TO OUR PROBLEM. THEY DID HOWEVER FIND A TSB 14858 FOR POSSIBLE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP LEAK. THEY REPLACED HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP AND SEALS WITH NEW LINE AND TEST DROVE VEHICLE. THEY STATE VEHICLE IS OK. WE JUST PICKED UP VEHICLE SO HAVE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM OF SMELLING EXCESSIVE GAS IS STILL PRESENT OR NOT. WILL CONFIRM IN THE MORNING

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,800.
THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT IN THE MIDDLE ROW OF MY 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE GETS CAUGHT UNDER THE PLASTIC PIECE ATTACHED TO THE BACK OF THE BENCH THAT THE SEAT BELT FEEDS THROUGH. THE SEAT BELT WHEN STRETCHED OUT SLIDES BETWEEN THE SLIT IN THE PLASTIC. IT GETS STUCK UNDER THE PLASTIC AND BECOMES LOOSE AND LIMP RENDERING THE SEAT BELT USELESS.!..UPDATED 08/13/15 *BF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHEN THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT WAS ADJUSTED AT ITS HIGHEST POINT, THE SEAT BELT ANCHOR PRESSED DOWN ON THE CONTACT'S LEG AND CAUSED BRUISING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE SEAT WOULD NEED TO BE LOWERED IN ORDER FOR THE SEAT BELT TO WORK PROPERLY. THE SEAT BELT WAS NOT DESIGNED TO WORK WHEN THE SEAT WAS RAISED THAT HIGH. THE CONTACT FELT THE SEAT BELT SHOULD STILL WORK WHEN THE SEAT IS AT ITS HIGHEST POSITION. THE SEAT BELT ANCHOR WAS CONNECTED TO THE SEAT AND NOT THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO EXTENSION MADE FOR THE SEAT BELT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
LAST NIGHT VEHICLE START JERKING AND WHEN ACCELERATING IT WOULD HESITATE THEN TAKE OF AND THERE WAS A SOUND IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE NEXT MORNING WHICH IS TODAY WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE THERE WAS A ERROR MESSAGE THAT SAID 4 WHEEL DRIVE. WHEN I WENT TO TAKE OF THE VEHICLE WOULD GO IN AND OUT OF 4 WHEEL DRIVE BY ITSELF. THIS CONTINUED ALL DAY AND FEEL THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE BECAUSE WHEN IT ERRATICALLY GOES INTO 4 WHEEL DRIVE AT NORMAL SPEED THE STEERING WAS COMPROMISED. I WILL TAKE IT TO DEALER MONDAY..
UPON PURCHASE OF A NEW 2015 TAHOE I OBSERVED THE POSSIBILITY OF A PROBLEM WITH THE FORWARD COLLISION ALERT SYSTEM (FCA). I REPORTED THIS TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AT CHEVROLET. ON 9 APRIL 2015 THE SERVICE MANAGER, ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER, MASTER TECHNICIAN, AND I TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TEST DRIVE. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT MODERATE HIGHWAY SPEEDS I DEMONSTRATED THE VARIOUS PHASES AND OPERATION OF VEHICLE DETECTION. THE FCA HAS PLENTY OF SENSITIVITY AND DETECTS VEHICLES IN EXCESS OF THE SPECIFIED DISTANCE IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL WHICH IS NOT AN ISSUE. AT A MODERATE CLOSING RATE BETWEEN VEHICLES THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ICON CHANGES FROM GREEN TO AMBER-ORANGE WHICH APPEARS NOMINAL. HOWEVER, THE RED ALARM HEADS-UP WINDSHIELD DISPLAY, RAPID HIGH-PITCHED BEEPS AND RED ICON ARE NEVER ACTIVATED UNTIL A CLOSING DISTANCE ABOUT ~3 FEET BEFORE A COLLISION. THERE IS VIRTUALLY ZERO REACTION TIME FOR A DRIVER TO BRAKE THE VEHICLE AT LESS THAN ONE CAR LENGTH BEFORE GOING TO RED. IN ADDITION, THE SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO DISENGAGE THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC). THE NEW 2015 TAHOES HAVE A PUSH BUTTON IGNITION. I PUSHED OFF THE IGNITION WITH THE CAR IN DRIVE (FORGOT TO PUT IN PARK), EXITED THE VEHICLE AND REALIZED THE CAR WAS ROLLING DOWN THE HILL. I QUICKLY JUMPED IN AND APPLIED THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR. I WAS SURPRISED THAT EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS IN DRIVE WHEN THE CAR'S IGNITION IS TURNED OFF, THE TRANSMISSION DISENGAGES AND THE CAR IS IN NEUTRAL! THIS IS A BIG HAZARD. FOR EXAMPLE IT IS ADVERTISED TO PROVIDE A HEADS UP VISUAL WARNING AS WELL AS AN AUDIAL WARNING IF I APPROACH THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME TO RAPIDLY. IT DOES NOT THE SYSTEM ALSO A GREEN AUTOMOBILE ICON WHEN YOU ARE FOLLOWING CLOSER THAN ABOUT 200 FEET TO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU. THE GREEN ICON IS ADVERTISED TO TURN YELLOW IF YOU FOLLOW TOO CLOSE. IT DOES NOT. THE ONLY TIME THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN THE RED HEADS UP DISPLAY IS WHEN IT IS A FALSE ALERT. ALL AND ALL, THIS SYSTEM WHICH WAS TOUTED TO BE A GREAT SAFETY FEATURE IS TOTALLY WORTHLESS.

STEERING DIFFICULT, CAR JERKED, ENGINE REVVED DIFFERENTLY AND TROUBLE IN REVERSE. NO WARNING SIGNALS ON DISPLAY AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING. TRIED TO "UNDISMISS", CONSULTED MANUAL AND ENSURED DIAL WAS IN 2WD. CUT IGNITION OFF, RESTARTED, SAME LIGHT. TEST DROVE ANOTHER 1 MI. TO SEE IF WARNING DISPLAY MALFUNCTION...CAR JERKED AND STEERING AS IF NON-POWER STEERING. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN MAY 2014. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER IN AUGUST 2014 PER GM RECALL NUMBER 14126 ON AUGUST 22, 2014. THE RECALL WAS TO REPROGRAM THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, EVEN THOUGH I HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CLUSTER. AFTER THE RECALL WORK WAS DONE, THOUGH, THE SCREEN ON THE DASH PANEL OPERATED IN A DIFFERENT AND DANGEROUS MANNER. PRIOR TO THE RECALL, I KEPT THE SCREEN ON THE DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER, FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. PRIOR TO THE RECALL, WHEN I WOULD PLACE OR RECEIVE A CALL USING THE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION, THE SCREEN WOULD SWITCH TO A PHONE SCREEN, BUT WHEN THE CALL ENDED, THE SCREEN IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO THE PRIOR SCREEN, SHOWING THE SPEEDOMETER. EVER SINCE THAT RECALL REPROGRAMMING, HOWEVER, AT THE END OF THE CALL, THE SCREEN STAY BLANK EXCEPT FOR THE WORD "PHONE", SO I HAVE TO PLAY AROUND WITH ALL OF THE SETTING OPTIONS (BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL) UNTIL I FIND THE DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER AGAIN. AFTER I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER, THE DEALER GAVE ME A COPY OF GM BULLETIN#PIT5285 ON THIS VERY ISSUE, DATED MAY 6, 2014 (BEFORE I BOUGHT THE CAR, AND CLEARLY NOT IMPLEMENTED ON THE CAR), SAYING THAT THIS IS A "NORMAL OPERATING CHARACTERISTIC" OF THE CAR. THAT IS A BLATANT FALSEHOOD, BECAUSE I DROVE IT FOR 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE REPROGRAMMING, AND "NORMAL" WAS AN IMMEDIATE RETURN TO THE PRIOR SCREEN, WHICH IN MY CASE WAS THE DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER. I HAVE TRIED APPEALS THROUGH GM, AND THEY REFUSE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE FURTHER. GM HAS CREATED A DANGEROUS DISTRACTION, AND IS IGNORING THE PROBLEM.
