THE 2003 TRAILBLAZER WITH 9000 MILES WAS TOWED TWICE FOR ENGINE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. *JB
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER NOTICED THAT SERVICE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE INDICATOR WAS FLASHING. TECHNICIAN UPGRADED COMPUTER, AND REPLACED TRANSFER CASE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING, THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE INDICATOR LIGHT FLASHED INTERMITTENTLY. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICED THE VEHICLE, UPGRADED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND REPLACED THE TRANSFER CASE. *AK *SC *JB
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER NOTICED THAT 4-WHEEL DRIVE INDICATOR LIGHT FLASHED INTERMITTENTLY. DEALERSHIP SERVICED VEHICLE, BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE COMING TO THE END OF AN ON-RAMP TO 295 W, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY BEGAN STEERING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT; I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL; THE BRAKES DIDN'T APPEAR TO BE HELPING AT ALL, AND I WAS ONLY DRIVING AT A SPEED OF APROX. 30 MPH AS ALWAYS WHEN I DRIVE THIS ON-RAMP. I'VE "NEVER EVER" HAD A PROBLEM AS THIS OCCUR WITH ANY VEHICLE I'VE DRIVEN ON THIS OR OTHER ON/OFF-RAMPS. IT WAS SCARY. LUCKILY I DID NOT HIT ON-COMING TRAFFIC BUT DID, HOWEVER, HIT A GUARDRAIL. MY 8 YR. OLD WAS ALSO TERRIFIED, BUT LUCKILY WE DID NOT SUSTAIN INJURY.*AK
THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURED THE VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WOULD RESTART AFTER SITTING FOR 5 MINUTES. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE IGNITION AND THE GROUND WIRE. THEY ALSO UPGRADED THE COMPUTER. THE PROBLEM HASN'T RECURRED SINCE THE GROUND WIRE WAS REPLACED. *JB
DT: ALL OF A SUDDEN THE BACK DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN. DEALER SAID IT HAD TO BE RESET. THEN WHEN WE FINALLY OPENED THE DOOR, IT WOULD NOT LATCH . CONSUMER HAD TO PUSH IT CLOSED.*AK
FRONT END LOOSE, BALL JOINTS NEEDED REPLACEMENT. DRIVER SIDE SEATBELT DEFECTIVE/TWISTED. ROTORS WARPED NEEDED REPALCEMENT. OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE DOES NOT OPEN DOOR. DIRVER SIDE MIRROR MOVES AROUND (PROGRAMED) WITHOUT NOTICE. TRANSMISSION ENGAGES ROUGH, FEELS LIKE IT SLIPPING. TAILGATE OUT OF ALLIGNMENT, REAR SEATBELT DEFECTIVE NEEDED REPLACEMENT, 4WD LOCKED UP IN PARKING LOT, FRONT END HAS SCRAPING NOISES WHEN TURNING, HEATED SEATS NOT WORKING, IRRATIC, TAILGATE PANEL FALLS OFF, DRIVER SEAT FRAME BROKEN NEEDED REPLACEMENT,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IRRATIC. *AK
WHILE DRIVING, THE CONSUMER NOTICED THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WERE ON WHICH INDICATED THAT THE DOORS WERE AJAR. THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THE REAR DRIVER DOOR WAS AJAR DUE TO LATCH FAILURE. THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO CLOSE THE DOOR. *AK (THE LATCH FAILED AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE) *SC *JB
POWER TO THE REAR, OR 5TH. DOOR SHORTS IN AND OUT AT WILL, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SECURELY LOCKED. THE RAP FEATURE, RESERVE AUXILLARY POWER SHORTS IN AND OUT. THE REAR OR 5TH. DOOR WINDSHIELD WIPER SHORTS IN AND OUT, CAUSING YOU TO NOT BE ABLE TO SEE BEHIND YOU. *AK
2003 TRAILBLAZER EXT 4X4 LOADED PURCHASED NEW 5-2004 STICKER $ 42,000 I HAVE OWNED 14 VEHICLES AND HAVE NEVER HAD ONE WITH THE PROBLEMS THIS TRUCK HAS. GM HAS DESIGNED ENGINEERED AND SOLD AN UNRELIABLE UNSAFE AUTOMOBILE. 1. ELECTRICAL ISSUES: REAR BRAKE LAMP BOARDS REPLACED 3 TIMES, RADIO REPLACED, HEADLAMP SOCKETS MELTED, BRAKE LAMP BULB BASE MELTED. 2. CAR LOSS ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING WIFE HAD TO SIT IN MIDDLE OF ROAD UNTIL TOW TRUCK CAME. TRUCK ONLY 2YRS OLD AT THAT TIME CAUSE OF PROBLEM IGNITION SWITCH. 3. ELECTRONIC FAN CLUTCH REPLACED TWICE 10-10 AND 6-11 HAD TO BATTLE DEALERSHIP TO COVER BASED ON PROBLEM AND GET ATTORNEY INVOLVED COST TO REPLACE WITH DIAG. $700.00. 4. SWAY BAR LINK PIN KIT REPLACED TWICE. 5. 4X4 TRANSFER CASE WILL NOT GO INTO 4-WHEEL DRIVE 2-WHEEL DRIVE ONLY WHEN YOU SELECT 4-WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK WILL NOT MOVE AND MAKES INTERNAL NOISE.TRAILBLAZER HAS A TOTAL OF 115,000 MILES. JUST TO MAKE A COMPARISON I PURCHASED IN 2001 A NEW TOYOTA TACOMA TRUCK IT HAS 176,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER.OTHER THAN STANDARD MAINTENANCE NO ISSUES AT ALL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND HAD IT REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 04V527000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS). FOUR YEARS LATER, TWO OF THE EXTERIOR BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED AGAIN. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT BECAUSE THE FAILURE OCCURRED 30,000 MILES LATER, THEY WOULD NOT ASSUME ANY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
EXTERIOR BRAKE LIGHTS OPERATE INCONSISTENTLY. WE REPLACE BULBS AND THEN THEY STILL DON'T WORK OR WORK FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. WE ARE NOT SURE IF THE BULBS ARE PREMATURELY BURNING OUT OR IF THE BRAKE LIGHT COMPONENT IS FAULTY. AT TIMES, WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR WILL HAVE NO BRAKE LIGHTS. DANGEROUS!*AK
WHILE CONSUMER WAS BACKING OUT OF THE PARKING GARAGE PASSENGER NOTICED NO BRAKES LIGHTS. CONSUMER DROVE THE VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC REPLACED TWO BULBS,A FUSE, AND CHECKED THE CIRCUIT BOARD. CONSUMER INFORMED THE MECHANIC THAT THIS PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK
MY FRONT BRAKES HAD TO BE REPLACED AFTER 24,000 MILES. I HAVE HAD OTHER SUV AND THIS SEEMS LIKE INFERIOR PRODUCTS ARE BEING USED. THE DEALER HAD TO TURN ROTORS AND ALSO REPLACE A TORSION BAR. I DO NOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE FOR WORK, I HAVE A COMPANY CAR AND THE BRAKES WERE REPLACED ON IT AT ALMOST 45,000 MILES. *JB
WHEN REMOVING THE CHILD OUT OF THE REAR SEAT THE SEAT BELT WRAPED AROUND THE CHILD'S WAIST, AND CONSUMER COULD NOT REMOVE THE SEAT BELT FROM AROUND THE CHILD'S WAIST. THIS CAUSED THE CONSUMER TO CALL 911 TO HAVE THE CHILD REMOVED. *AK
WHEN BACKING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY ON A 50 DEGREE INCLINE VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD. AS A RESULT, VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A FENCE. DEALER STATED TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTIONED. *AK
CURRENT MODEL (2002-2004) CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER/GMC ENVOY BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT FUNCTION, WHILE CMHSL REMAINS FUNCTIONING. THIS IS THE SAME DEFECT THE PRIOR MODELS WERE RECALLED FOR. HAVE SEEN AT LEAST 6 TRAILBLAZERS/ENVOYS WITH THIS CONCERN OVER THE PAST THREE MONTHS.*AK
AIR CONDITIONER EMITS A FOUL SMELL! DEALER STATES IT IS A AIR BORN BATERIA THAT THEY CAN NOT RESOLVE. MY CHOICES ARE SPRAY VENTS WITH LYSOL FREQUENTLY, GET MONTHLY CHEMICAL TREATMENTS, OR SUFFER FROM THE BACTERIA THAT IS MAKING US ILL. BUT OF COURSE AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRES I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MONTHLY CHEMICAL TREATMENTS AT $100 EACH VISIT. DEALER AND CHEVY SAYS THEY CAN NOT FIX.*AK
MY 2003 TRAILBLAZER WILL NOT CRANK UP ALL THE TIME. IT WILL NOT EVEN TURNOVER SOMETIMES OTHER TIMES IT WILL TURN OVER AND STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS FOR THE PAST 8 MONTHS. I BELEIVE GM IS WAITING FOR THE WARRENTY TO EXPIRE. THEY HAVE REPLACED MY IGNITION SYSTEM AND FUEL SYSTEM. IT STILL HAS PROBLEMS WITH INTERMITTENT CRANKING. IT HAS HAPPENED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THAT IS WHY MY IGNITION SYSTEM WAS REPLACED. GM DOES NOT WANT TO DO ANYTHING. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED NUMEROUS TIMES DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. THEY GOT MY MONEY AND THAT IS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT. PLEASE ANYONE I NEED HELP. WHERE ELSE DO I TURN. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE LEAKED FUEL FROM THE FUEL TANK. DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE FUEL TANK. THE PROBLEM HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED. *AK
LEFT TAIL LIGHT/BRAKE LIGHT FAILED. PLASTIC BASE ON BULB MELTED PREVENTING PROPER CONTACT BETWEEN WIRE CONDUCTORS AND LIGHT SOCKET. *LA
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHEN VEHICLE HITS A BUMP IT MAKES A THUMPING NOISE. HE TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A SHIELD. CONSUMER THINKS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE FRONT END.*AK
WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK, FREQUENTLY THE PUMP CLICKS OFF AND GAS SURGES UP THE FILLER NECK AND FLOWS TO THE GROUND. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION. CONSUMER WAS WEARING SEAT BELTS, BUT NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. CONSUMER SUSTAINED A BROKEN NOSE,SCRAPES, AND BRUISES TO CHEST AND WRIST. *AK
WE'VE NOTICED A VIBRATING SOUND AFTER 2-5 MINUTES FROM STARTING OUR '03 BLAZER FROM COLD START. IT TENDS TO INCREASE AFTER WE'VE DRIVEN IT FOR A WHILE. I'VE NOTICED WHILE I'M WAITING TO PICK MY WIFE UP THAT THIS IRRITATING SOUND AND VIBRATION INTENSIFIES. WHATEVER IT IS, IT'S NOT NORMAL. FTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO OUR DEALER AND PROVIDING THEM WITH THE BELOW NHTSA BULLETIN, WE HOPED TO GET OUR VEHILCLE FIXED.*AK NHTSA NO: 282674 BULLETIN NO: 061903 BULLETIN DATE: JUNE 2003 UNUSUAL VIBRATION FELT AT IDLE OR AT VERY LOW RPM DURING PARKING LOT MANUEVERS. ALSO RESIDENCE NOISE ACCOMPANYING THE VIBRATION. GMS ENGINEERING DEPT AT THE DEALER RETURNED OUR T-BLAZER INFORMING US THAT IT IS NORMAL. I DON'T BELIEVE THEY DID A THOROUGH JOB IN LOCATING & FIXING THE PROBLEM. THE ENGINEERING DEPT RECOMMENDED THE SERVICE DEPT TEST AN '04 TRAILBLAZER. THEIR RESPONSE WAS THAT IT WAS NORMAL LIKE THE '03. BEFORE PICKING UP MY VEHICLE, I TESTED THE WARMED UP '04 T-BLAZER & DIDN'T HEAR THE SAME SOUND I HEAR IN MY VEHICLE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS VIBRATING SOUND CAN BE NORMAL WHEN THE FOLLOWING GM SERVICE WEBSITE LINK ... EXHAUST BOOM OR VIBRATION VEHICLES WITH THE 4.2L L6 ENGINE MAY EXHIBIT A BOOM OR VIBRATION COMING FROM THE EXHAUST, AT OR NEAR IDLE. THE FOLLOWING MAY HELP REDUCE THE VIBRATION. UNBOLT THE DOWNPIPE FROM THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD OUTLET AND REPLACE THE DONUT SEAL. WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE DOWNPIPE TO THE MANIFOLD, HAVE A SECOND TECHNICIAN HOLD THE REAR END OF THE DOWNPIPE SO THE TWO EXHAUST HANGERS STAY CENTERED IN THE RUBBER BUSHING HOLES. KEEPING THE RODS CENTERED IN THE BUSHING HOLES MAKES A NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT. - THANKS TO GM TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE WHAT CAN BE DONE IN ORDER FOR THIS PROBLEM TO BE FIXED?

2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER - PURCHASED IN MAY OF 2003 OFF OF THE SALES FLOOR - AROUND 5 MILES ON IT - TRUCK BEGAN SQUEAKING - TOOK IT IN, THEY SAID BAD BREAK PADS, CHANGED THEM OUT AND GAVE IT BACK (2 DAYS WITHOUT TRUCK) - SQUEAKING STILL THERE - TOOK IT BACK IN - SERVICE TECH SAID THE FRONT SPINDLE WAS BENT - TOLD ME I COULDN'T DRIVE IT IT WAS UNSAFE (5 MORE DAYS WITHOUT TRUCK) - AT THE SAME TIME THEY TAKE TRUCK TO BODY SHOP BECAUSE REAR HATCH WON'T SHUT IT TOO IS BENT - SAME WITH THE HOOD (HMMMMMMMM!!!!) - REAR WIPER MOTOR THEN BUSTS (NOW I'M ERKED) - DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 55 AND TRUCK SHUTS OFF - NO POWER STEERING ALMOST WRECK IT SEEMS THE GAS GAUGE IS NOT ACCURATE!!!!!!! - THEN BLOWER MOTOR WON'T SHUT OFF WITHOUT TAKING FUSE OUT ... NO HEAT IN REAR HEATERS, CLIMATE CONTROL DOESN'T WORK (YET A FEW MORE DAYS WITHOUT TRUCK)- THE LAST STRAW - MY 9 MONTH OLD TRUCK HAS A BROKEN TRANSFER CASE AND THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE WENT OUT - OF COURSE THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE WENT OUT ON A STEEP HILL IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER - NOT ACCEPTABLE IN ALASKA NOT ACCEPTABLE IN A NEW TRUCK!!!!!! - HAD TO GET OUT OF A DEFECTIVE TRUCK SO NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH A BRAND NEW TAHOE THAT IS $10,000+ UPSIDE DOWN! WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE HESITATED THEN STALLED. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE GAS INTAKE PIPE ALLOWS GAS TO SPILL OUT WHEN FUELING 2003 TRAILBLAZER.BASICALLY, THE FUEL PUMPS AT ALL GAS STATIONS I USE DO NOT SHUT OFF WHEN FUELING AND GAS OVERFLOWS ONTO THE GROUND. THE DEALER HAS ORDERED A REPLACEMENT PART BUT NO RECALL IS OUT. THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD AND SAFETY CONCERN.*AK
DT: THE CONTACT STATED SOMETIMES THE DOORS COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM EITHER THE OUTSIDE OR THE INSIDE. SHE STARTED HAVING THIS PROBLEM IN 3-04. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, MAINLY TO THE BACK DOORS AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. THE DEALER ORIGINALLY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. CURRENTLY, THEY WERE SAYING THE DOORS WERE STICKING BECAUSE SHE DID NOT BRING THE CAR IN AND HAD THE DOORS LUBRICATED. SHE DENIED THIS WAS THE PROBLEM. *AK
I ATTEMPTED TO FUEL THE VEHICLE. EVERY TIME I ATTEMPTED, THE PUMP WOULD SHUT OFF AS IF AN OVERFLOW WERE HAPPENING. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME. THE DEALER HAD ADVISED ME THAT IT HAD FIXED THE PROBLEM WHEN ADVISED OF IT ON A PREVIOUS OCCASION. USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN THE ENGINE HASN'T BEEN RUNNING FOR VERY LONG.
2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER SPEEDOMETER FAILED *GR THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD REGISTER AS HIGH AS 120 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND IT WAS DETERMINED THERE WAS AN INTERNAL MALFUNCTION ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED IT WOULD COST $550 FOR A REPLACEMENT CLUSTER. THE REAR PASSENGER TAILLIGHT AND PASSENGER SIDE HEAD LIGHT BURNED OUT AND WAS REPLACED. THE WATER PUMP AND SERPENTINE BELT WERE REPLACED. THE MECHANIC NOTED A BROKEN BOLT IN THE WATER PUMP THAT HELD DOWN THE HOUSING AND THE BALL JOINTS WERE REPLACED. *JB
WHILE PUTTING THE TRAILBLAZER INTO ANY GEAR IT MAKES GRINDING NOISE IN REAR. WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALER THE REAR OF THE BLAZER WAS ALL OVER THE ROAD. IT FELT LIKE THE REAR WHEELS WHERE GOING TO FALL OFF. WHILE STILL MANY MILES AWAY FROM DEALER FOR SERVICE THE BACK AXIAL LOCKED UP MAKING ME LOOSE CONTROL. THIS WAS AT 25 MPH. THANK GOODNESS I DID NOT TAKE THE HIGHWAY. I DONT WANT TO KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED AT 65 MPH. I HAD TO HAVE TOWED TO DEALER FROM THERE. I WAS TOLD THAT A BEARING BREAKING CAUSED THIS. HOWEVER FIRST I WAS ACCUSED OF HAVING THE VEHICLE 4 WHEELING.*AK
THE BRAKE LIGHTS WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING. THE CONSUMER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM BY A PASSING MOTORIST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP, WHO WITHOUT INSPECTING THE VEHICLE INDICATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHT WENT OUT BECAUSE OF A DEFECT IN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER BOARD AND THAT THERE WAS A TSB ON THIS ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE CIRCUIT BREAKER BOARD. *AK THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED A FLAT TIRE AND HAD A DIFFICULT TIME TRYING TO REMOVE THE SPARE TIRE. *SC *JB
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE RESOLVED. *AK
WHEN FUELING MY 2003 CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER, GAS HAS OVERFLOWED A MINIMUM OF (4) TIMES SINCE NOVEMBER OF 2003 (WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE). TWO OF THOSE TIMES GAS SPRAYED BACK ONTO MY HAND. I HAD THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER IN LATE NOVEMBER 2003. THEY SAID THAT CHEVROLET KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM, IS WORKING ON IT, AND WILL ISSUE A RECALL WHEN THEY HAVE A SOLUTION. *AK
FUEL SPILLAGE JUST AFTER AUTO SHUTOFF ON GAS PUMP ON MY 03 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN ALMOST EVERYTIME I FILL THE TANK. I SEE AND HAVE HEARD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND I BELIEVE THIS IS POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS. *JB
I HAVE HAD THE EXACT PROBLEMS AS STATED IN 10047425. WINDSHIELD WIPERS WENT OUT COMPLETELY ON A RAINY DAY, MODULE REPLACED, A/C BROKE ON A HOT DAY-FIXED, POWER STEERING ASSIST STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY MAKING DRIVING THE VEHICLE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE, VEHICLE STARTED ON RESERVE POWER WHEN TEMP HIT -6 DEGREES, HEATER MOTOR STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY THE NEXT DAY -10 DEGREES. BASICALLY THIS VEHICLE DOESN'T LIKE CHANGES IN WEATHER. *AK
THE FRONT DOOR HINGES ON 2003 TRAILBLAZERS ARE NOT SECURELY FASTENED TO THE BODY AND ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO BENDING AWAY FROM BODY. THE HINGES NEED TO BE WELDED BETTER OR FASTENED WITH BOLTS. ONCE BENT, THE DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED OR CLOSED CAUSING A DANGEROUS SITUATION. *LA
THE THROTTLE SENSOR MALFUNCTION. AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE BECAME INOPERATIVE. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *JB
COMPLAINT RECEIVED VIA E-MAIL." I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THE DEFECTS DISCOVERED ON MY VEHICLE SINCE I PURCHASED THIS ON OCTOBER 2003. FEW MONTHS I DROVE MY TRAILBLAZER, I WAS STUCK AT THE AIRPORT BECAUSE IT WON'T START AND I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR WHICH LASTED FOR 3 DAYS. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS JUST A CASE OF LOW BATTERY POWER. I WAS NOT IN AGREEMENT WITH THEIR REASON. I WROTE GM HEADQUARTERS DEMANDING AN EXCHANGE OR REPLACEMENT OF THE TRUCK. THEY DECLINED MY REQUEST, INSTEAD THEY OFFERED ME AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE FOLLOWING YEAR, I WAS DRIVING AT AROUND 25 MPH, WHEN I CHANGED GEAR ALL OF A SUDDEN THE GEAR SHIFTER CAME LOOSE AND PRACTICALLY DETACHED IT'S LINKAGE. I PANICKED AND SLOWLY PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE SHIFTER FOR FREE. THEN JUST THIS MONTH I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT AROUND 50 MPH, I NOTICED THE RPM WAS BETWEEN 7-8 AND THE ENGINE REVVED HARD, BUT THERE WAS NO POWER. THE SPEED REMAINED CONSTANT EVEN WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL FULLY. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY FOUND OUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE AND THEY REPLACED IT UNDER WARRANTY. THE TOTAL MILEAGE DRIVEN AS OF THIS TIME IS 30,000 MILES." *JB
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE STALLED. CONSUMER MANAGED TO PULL OVER AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
VEHICLE'S REDUCED POWER LIGHT STAYED ON. AS A RESULT, VEHICLE'S POWER FAILED. *AK
WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVESE TO DRIVE LOW RPMS AND ALMOST STALLS. *AK
LOSING CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE ON ICY PAVEMENT , VEHICLE SLID OFF OF THE ROAD , HEAD-ON INTO A TREE. DRIVERS SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. SERIOUS INJURIES OCCURED , WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN LESSENED IF THE SAFETY FEATURES WE PAY FOR ACTUALLY WORK.*AK ER DOCTORS AND STATE POLICE WERE TERRIBLY ANNOYED , SINCE THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL REPORTS OF SAME FAILURE IN DESIGN. NO RESPONSE FROM DEALER OR MANUFACTURER, AS OF YET !!!*AK
TICK TICK TICK AT IDLE. ENGINE STALLS DURING IDLE - OIL PRESSURE DROPS TO SENSOR LEVEL THEN ENGINE STALLS.*AK
CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO REPAIR SHOP BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS; RACK AND PINION FAILED TWICE/AIR CONDITIONER MALFUNCTIONED TWICE/VEHICLE STALLED AT TAKE OFF/ OIL LEAK, AND BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY. ALSO, VEHICLE MADE A LOUD NOISE ON DRIVER'S SIDE WHILE DRIVING. *AK
