Limp mode. It doesn't have speed only goes about 10-20 mph, doesn't give any gas it'll stall act as if it wants to shut down. Transmission Shift Cable. Stalls want let me get gas or nothing slowing down in traffic, it just gives up. I just bought the car from sb auto . The car I had for 4 days wasn't making funny nosies nothing. The timing went when I was driving the car it came to a dead stop lost power steering . Had me and my son in the car thankfully I was Turning into a complex when it happened. It's got 159163 miles
The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that when she started her vehicle and shifted into drive (D) and depressed the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that she attempted to drive the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to exceed 20 MPH. The contact stated that the check engine and TPMS warning lights were illuminated. The contact parked the vehicle nearby her residence. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed and had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
I bought the car in August of last year and drove it for about 3 days before it started giving me problems. First incident I was driving my children home from the hairdresser and the car completely went out us on the highway, after repeated attempts for a half hour or so I was able to start it and drive it back home very slowly..this happened twice I went to get it diagnosed and codes came up for crank shaft sensor and o2 sensor, before I could even get that fixed more problems came up, the steering wheel began to become stiff and almost impossible to turn, while picking my son up from school I was trying to pull away from the curb in the drop off spot and almost hit another car and a child because the steering wheel stiffened up on me!!! I was told I would need an entire steering rack!!! ...also the key has gotten stuck in the ignition and wouldn't start and I had to have it towed to a mechanic for that as well. Driving up hill one day I lost power that made it seem like it was stuck in low, then we lost reverse altogether as well as the ability to climb hills. I got the transmission repaired, barely made it home before it started doing the exact same thing, no reverse and won't go up hills, so I had to get it towed back to the shop to fix it once again, now I find out that the computer went bad as well and was causing the car to perform in neutral. This car has given me nothing but problems since I bought it! It is very dangerous to be on the road! I don't understand how they're even still in circulation!! This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a vehicle! Upon doing research online I seen that there were HUNDREDS of people with these cars experiencing the same problems. Something has to be done!! I had the car almost a year and only got about a week's worth of use!!
I bought my car and not even a month later I was driving off the interstate and it shut down on me. I had it towed to my house and it won’t start anymore. The car makes a funny clickin noise. It could have killed me if I would have wrecked.
Wiring failing, abs won't work, track control not working, reverse camera, stable track,
The car appeared to have lost power, not while entering the freeway. I pressed on the gas, but it made a loud sound and barely moved. I then saw smoke, pulled over and the car cut off. The car continued to smoke. I opened the hood, and it was a fire under it. Prior to driving, the check engine light was on.
Airbag “Service Airbag” light appears on dash intermittently.
I bought a used car and maybe it’s just wear and tear but I’ve seen it in lots of forums on the internet also. My back end sways going around curves almost like I am fishtailing and then my traction control dings and it says service traction control and also my car jumps when in idle the rpm needle moves with it. It acts like it doesn’t want to get up and go at about 60. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about the engine and transmission going out in vehicles. I didn’t know this when I bought the vehicle. I have 2 kids and I need this car to take them to school and errands. I don’t know if this is normal wear and tear or if it’s something wrong with the car from the beginning
Both catalytic converters are bad and the vehicle only has 89k miles
VEHICLE IS HARD TO TURN AT LOW SPEEDS. (POWER STEERING) HIGHER SPEEDS IT STEERS NORMALLY. THEY APPARENTLY KNOW ABOUT THE ISSUE.
WAS DRIVING FINE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN WITH NO WARNING CAR WOULD NOT GO FASTER THAN 15 MPH. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THEN TRACTION CONTROL WENT OFF. ACROSS THE DASH IT SAID "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRACK AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER" THE CAR STARTED SHIFTING BETWEEN 2 DIFFERENT GEARS MAKING IT EXTREMELY SCARY TO TRY DRIVING TO A SAFE SPOT WITH 3 YOUNG KIDS.
A year a go the steering at low speed would act like the power steering just stop working, very hard to turn. but not all the time, but now it more often. when a kid ran out between two parked cars I went to turn and hit the brakes the steering went out. Luckily he stop in time, but after that I needed it repaired. Went to GM web site and was amazed of all the people with this, called chevy dealer about repairs and was told its my problem and it would be $ 2100.00 to replace a faulty power steering pump, how is this not a safety problem. Try turning in a parking space and the wheel locks up its hard not to hit the car beside you. WITH NO WARNING
I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY IN REVERSE AND CONTROL OF THE CAR WAS LOST. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR AND I WAS NEVER TOLD OF ANY ISSUES OR RECALLS WITH THE CAR AS IT SHOULD HAVE WENT THROUGH A SAFETY INSPECTION. EVEN WHEN I LOOKED ONLINE THE VEHICLE WAS CLEARED FOR RECALL REPAIRS. NO SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS ALERTED ME OF ANY PROBLEMS. THIS HAPPENED INSTANTLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION BACKING INTO A CITY STREET.
AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON
COUPLE MONTHS AGO I WAS OUT WITH MY FAMILY AND NOTICED THAT THE CAR WAS ALMOST STUTTERING WHEN I PLACED IT IN REVERSE. A LITTLE LIKE WHEN YOU DRIVE A CAR WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND YOU DEPRESS THE CLUTCH BUT DON'T GIVE THE CAR ENOUGH GAS AND IS STARTS TO JERK BACKWARDS INSTEAD OF ROLL SMOOTHLY. THEN AS I TRAVELED HOME I NOTICED A SORT OF SHUTTER WHEN THE CAR SHIFTS AT 25 MPH- I'M GUESSING AROUND 3RD GEAR. NO SHUTTERING AT A HIGHER GEAR. IT HAS BEEN IN MY GARAGE SINCE THAT DAY AND I HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT. FROM WHAT I BEEN READING & LEARNING IT HAS TO DO WITH THE WAVE PLATES ON THE INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION. PLEASE HELP.
MY 2009 CHEVY TRAVERSE HAS A LOT OF RECALLS ON IT. FROM THE AIR BAG, SEAT BELTS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
WHEN TURNING AT LOW SPEED, THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER STEERING. AT FIRST THIS ONLY HAPPENED OCCASIONALLY AND NOT IT IS HAPPENING MORE. IT ALSO GETS WORSE IF VEHICLES HAS BEEN DROVE ALONG THAT DAY. CHECK POWER STEERING FLUID AND IT IS FULL. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME I TURN BUT RANDOMLY WHEN TURNING AT LOW SPEED. TURNING ONTO A ROAD, AT STOPLIGHT OR INTO AND OUT OF PARKING SPOTS. HAPPENS WITH SPEEDS BETWEEN 5-20 MPH
POWER STEERING HAS FAILED AGAIN. POWER STEERING WAS FIXED UNDER A PREVIOUS RECALL, BUT THE POWER STEERING PUMP HAS FAILED AGAIN MAY 2020.
WARNING CHIMES / SPEAKERS NOT WORKING DUE TO WATER SHORTING THE PLUGS FOR THE DOOR ATTACHMENTS. BACKUP SAFETY CHIMES AND ALL CHIMES ARE INSTALL WITH PURPOSE AND SAFETY IN MIND.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 20 MPH, MAKING A RIGHT TURNED THE VEHICLE GEAR FAILED TO SHIFT TO THIRD WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO VEER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY PROGRESS TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MYERS GARAGE 522 W 2ND ST, LIZTON, IN 46149 (317) 994-5436 WHERE A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS TAKEN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000.
HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY TRAVERSE HAD IT ABOUT A YEAR AND SINCE I HAVE IT REPLACED THE STARTER. COOLANT SOMEHOW WENT INTO MOTOR OIL EVERY TIME I START THE VEHICLE A BIG HUGE WHITE CLOUD APPEARED FROM THE MUFFLER.
MY CAR HAS A RECALL FOR THE TIMING CHAIN, I NEVER KNEW ABOUT IT, AS I AM NOT THE FIRST OWNER OF THE CAR, AND I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTICE, WHEN MY CAR ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, I NEVER KNEW WHAT EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS I ENDED UP CHANGING PARTS ON MY CAR BASED ON A MECHANIC THAT DIDN'T KNOW BETTER AND DIDN'T CHANGE WHAT I NEED TO BE CHANGE AND BROUGHT IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC WHO TOLD ME IT WAS THE TIMING CHAIN, AFTER SEEING HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST I DIDN'T HAVE THE MEANS AT THE TIME, THIS IS ABOUT YEAR INTO GETTING THE CAR BACK IN 2018, I BELIEVE 2020, I KNOW ENDED UP BRING IT BACK TO ANOTHER MECHANIC WHERE THEY NOTIFIED ME THAT CAR HAD A RECALL ON THE TIMING CHAIN KIT, WHICH CHEVY NEVER INFORMED BE ABOUT WHEN I WENT THERE LOOKING TO BUY THE PARTS FOR MY CAR, ALSO MY DEALER WHO I GOT THE CAR FORM NEVER INFORM ME OF THIS RECALL AS WELL AS ANOTHER ONE I HAVE ON THE CAR THAT I FOUND OUT WHEN I WENT RECENTLY TO SEE MY RECALLS AT CHEVY DEALER, THEY ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THE RECALL EXPIRED IN 2019 AND THEY CAN'T FIXED IT, WHICH I DON'T AGREE WITH, RECALLS SHOULDN'T EXPIRE ITS A SAFETY MEASURE. I WOULD REALLY LIKE YOU HELP IN GETTING MY CAR FIXED AND SAFE TO OPERATE WITH ALL THE RECALLS . THANK YOU. ALSO WHEN I LOOK UP MY VIN IT DOESN'T SHOW MY RECALLS WHICH IS A PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GRIFFIN CHEVROLET (11100 W METRO AUTO MALL, MILWAUKEE, WI 53224, (414) 882-8479) WHERE THEY CLEANED THE REMAINING GLASS AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE WEATHER CHANGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 169,538.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN AND CRANKSHAFT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. O'REILLY CHEVROLET (6160 E BROADWAY BLVD, TUCSON, AZ 85711, (520) 829-3876) WAS CONTACTED, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURES. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V073000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 170,000.
GEARS LACKING TO GO TO NEXT.
I HAVE A 2009 CHEVY TRAVERSE WITH VIBRATION PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING IN AROUND 3GEAR AND AROUND 5 GEAR. DRIVING CITY AND HIGHWAY VIBRATION COME AND GO AWAY FOR COUPLE SECOND. I RAPLACED WHEEL HUB BEARING BOTH SIDE, LOWER CONTROL ARM AND BUSHING, DRIVELINE SHAFT, CV BOOT AXLE. VIBRATION IS REALLY ROUGH, FEEL IT FROM FRONT AND BACK OF VEHICLE. WHEN START UP DRIVING AROUND OK, ABOUT 10 MIN OF DRIVING VIBRAATION STARTS. I HAVE READ MANY FORUM ONLINE TRAVERSE, ACADIA AND SATURN HAVING SAME PROBLEM. I FEEL THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE RECALL AND ISN'T SAFE FOR ME OR OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM. SECOND PROBLEM IS RADIO SYSTEM NOT WORKING, FROM GETTING INSIDE WIRE CONNECTOR ON SIDE DOOR, CAUSING A SHORT TO AMPLIFIER.
"SERVICE AIR BAG" DIC MESSAGE AND DASHBOARD AIR BAG WARNING ICON CAME ON INTERMITTENTLY. THEN IT CAME ON AND STAYED ON FOR A WHILE - LONG ENOUGH TO LOG A CODE. THIS OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING AROUND TOWN AND ON THE HIGHWAY. THE DEALER SAID IT NEEDED AN AIR BAG HARNESS. THEY TOLD ME THE CONNECTION POINTS OF THE WIRING LOOSEN UP OVER TIME AND GIVE A DIFFERENT CIRCUIT RESISTANCE READING THAT THE COMPUTER READS AS A FAULT. THAT WILL COST 3 HOURS OF LABOR AND MANY DOLLARS FOR THE REPLACEMENT HARNESS. I AM WAITING FOR THE HARNESS TO COME ON NOW. BUT THIS VEHICLE EXHIBITS THE SAME SYMPTOMS THAT WERE COVERED IN A 2014 RECALL PROGRAM. THE 2014 REPAIR WAS DONE, AND NOW THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED. SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE. I WAS TOLD IT IS OKAY TO DRIVE BUT BE AWARE THAT IF THE WARNING LIGHT IS LIT, THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY.
THERE ARE LARGE NUMBERS OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE TIMING CHAIN PREMATURELY GOING ON THESE MODELS OF THE TRAVERSE. THEY SHOULD LAST THE LIFE OF ENGINE IN MOST CASES. MY TRAVERSE HAS BENN THROWING A CODE FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND NOW GMC SAYS IT NEEDS NEW TIMING CHAIN. MY CAR ONLY HAS 73833 MILES
CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ARE CLEAN AND APPEARS IN GOOD CONDITION BUT KEEPS TURNING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. NO CHANE NOTED IN CARS PERFORM3
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE ENGINE SEIZED, AND THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THAT METAL SHAVINGS WERE FOUND IN THE OIL COMPARTMENT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
"TAKATA RECALL" WHILE DRIVING ON I70 SOUTH IN THE FAST LANE MY 2009 CHEVY TRAVERSE STARTED TO LOOSE POWER, LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING, AND THEN ULTIMATELY STOPPED AS I WAS PARTIALLY IN THE ROADWAY. STATE PATROL HAD TO COME OUT AND MOVE THE VEHICLE AND ASSURE MY SAFETY OF EXITING ON THIS VERY DARK INTERSTATE. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT EVEN START UP AGAIN. AND THIS WAS THREE DAYS FOLLOWING A TUNE-UP W/6 NEW COIL PACKS, OIL CHANGE W/FILTER AND FLOW VENT. AND ALL THIS COST ALMOST 600.00 BUCKS BECAUSE COILS ARE NEARLY 45.00 PER COIL. AND ALL THIS HAD TO HAPPEN BECAUSE OF A CONSTANT MISFIRE IN ALL OF MY CYLINDERS. SO I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED 48 MILES HOME AND THEN 16 MILES TO THE DEALER JUST TO BE TOLD THAT THIS TRUCK HAS A TIMING CHAIN RECALL THAT WAS NEVER DONE. SO I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP TO CALL CHE Y CORPORATE OFFICE. LOL. CHEVROLET TOLD ME THAT THE THE RECALL EXPIRED AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TIMING CHAIN MYSELF. AFTER 2 YEARS OF CONSTANT SPENDING. IM DONE AND HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO SUE. THE TROOPER CALLED TO FOLLOW UP WITH ME BECAUSE I DID ALMOST DIE ON THE INTERSTATE BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WENT COMPLETELY OUT AND 18 WHEELERS WERE GOING EXTREMELY FAST. AND HE PROVIDED ME WITH A COMPLETE POLICE REPORT TO GO AFTER CHEVY. MY TWO KIDS NOW HATE THE VEHICLE. MY DAUGHTER CRIED ALL THROUGH THE 4TH OF JULY BECAUSE OF THE TRAUMA. AND CHEVY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SELL FAMILY VEHICLES WITHOUT HAVING A FAMILIES SAFETY IN MIND. THIS WAS MY FIRST CHEVY PURCHASE AND IT WILL BE MY LAST. THIS IS NOT A COMPANY I WISH TO SUPPORT. BECAUSE IT COULD CARELESS ABOUT OUR LIVES AND SAFETY. I REFUSE TO PAY ANOTHER 2K TO REPAIR AN ISSUE THAT HAD A RECALL THAT I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT. #2NDOWNERSCLUB
I BOUGHT THIS CAR 6/21/2016. NEVER RECEIVED ANY RECALL NOTICE FOR THE TIMING CHAIN. THE DEALERSHIP IS REFUSING TO FIX IT. I HAVE 106K MILES ON IT. THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD HONOR THE RECALL AS IT'S A SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE 4 CHILDREN IN THE CAR WITH ME AT ALL TIMES.

WELL FIRST OF ALL THE CAR RUNS STABLE ON CRUISE CONTROL AND I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT STARTS SHAKING HESITATING IT SEEMS LIKE THERE'S A LOT OF CHEVY TRAVERSE THE BE DOING THE EXACT SAME THING FROM 2009 I'VE BEEN LOOKING IT UP AND THERE'S A LOT OF THEM THE DO THE EXACT SAME THING AND NOBODY SEEMS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEM
PURCHASED FROM HONDA OF SLIDELL, LOUISIANA AROUND 1 1/2 YEAR AGO. HAS HAD ENGINE PROBLEMS, ELECTRICAL AND AC PROBLEMS SINCE PURCHASED. THE ENGINE HAS TO BE REPLACED. THE CAR IS CRAP! AC SYSTEM HAS TO BE REPLACED.
I WAS DRIVING AND MY CAR QUIT RUNNING. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND IT WAS THE TIMING CHAIN BROKE. I HAVEN'T HAD THIS CAR A YEAR YET AND THIS HAPPENS. IT'S NOT RIGHT IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THESE ENGINES. FROM SEVERAL MECHANICS I HAVE TALKED TO SAID THEY ARE KNOWN TO HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET.

THE DRIVER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A BURNING WIRE ODOR UNDER THE HOOD, WHICH ENTERED THE VEHICLE THROUGHT THE VENTS. THE VEHICLE STALLED ON AN INCLINE, BUT THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO PLACE THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS AND THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILED DUE TO FUEL IN THE OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

TAKARA RECALL- MY VEHICLE IS LEAKING OIL TO THE ENGINE WHICH IS CAUSING IT TO GO THROUGH MY EXHAUST..I HAVE KEPT MY VEHICLE WITH MAINTENANCE UPDATED..I TRIED REACHING OUT TO CHEVY MCGARTH - NO RESPONSE..SO I LOOKED THIS UP BECAUSE THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE ISSUES GOING ON WITH MY CAR SHOULD HAVE HAD AN WARRANTY ON IT..BECAUSE THIS IS MY FAULT
WE WERE DRIVING ABOUT 50 MILES AND A TRAILER HIT US FROM BEHIND AND THE AIR SAFETY BAGS WERE NEVER ACTIVATED HAD AN IMPACT IN FROM AND BACK AND THE SEAT BELTS DIDN'T WORK EITHER
I KEEP GETTING MULTIPLE RANDOM ENGINE MISFIRES THAT THERE SEEMS TO BE NO SOLUTION TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES. RUNS FOR A WHILE AND STARTS ACTING UP AGAIN. STALLS OUT WHEN ATTEMPT TO TAKE OFF AFTER COMING TO A STOP OR JUST STARTS TO MOVE AND GOES REAL SLOW, ALSO HAS TROUBLE GETTING UP HILLS DUE TO LOSS OF POWER. KEEP GETTING TOLD IT'S CATILOC CONVERTERS AND HAVE REPLACED 3 TIMES IN LAST YEAR. HAVE ALSO REPLACED SPARK PLUGS AND COIL OVERS AS WELL AS FUEL PUMP, MAS AIRFLOW SENSOR, MAP SENSOR, OXYGEN SENSORS, AND A FEW OTHER THINGS. SEEMS THERE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUES BUT NO FIX....
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN A THREE YEAR UNLIMITED WARRANTY THROUGH THE ENGINE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER OF THE ENGINE WAS CONTACTED MULTIPLE TIMES AND STATED THAT THE OWNER WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 187,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT SPEED OF60MILES THE CAR JUST STOPPED RUNNING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY WOULD NOT START HAD TO BE TOWED HOME GOING STRAIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY NO WARNING WHATSOEVER I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED FROM THE CAR BEHIND ME
MY LTZ STARTED SHUDDERING AT ABOUT 25-30MPH @ AROUND 130,000 MILES. CHECK ENGINE LINE IS ON SPORADICALLY. IF YOU PUSH THE GAS HARDER, IT PICKS UP AND MOVES ON. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM WITH MANY '09 MODELS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL/FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. WE USE THIS CAR ONLY FOR FAMILY TRIPS OR BIG GROCERY TRIPS. I'D HATE TO GET RID OF IT. PAYING $45,000 FOR A VEHICLE MEANS IT SHOULD LAST FOR A VERY LONG TIME!
WHEN DRIVING TRUCK SEEMS TO ACCELERATE NORMAL; THEN IT START TO GET A LITTLE SLUGGISH AND START TO KICK FROM THE BACK LIKE ITS TRYING TO CATCH UP WITH THE FRONT. AND ALSO WHEN I PUT IT IN PARK IT JERKS FORWARD OR ROLLS BACK.. ALL THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY
MY WIFE AND I OWN A 09 CHEVY TRAVERSE AND HAVE HAD FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS. WHEN WE FIRST BOUGHT IT IT DROVE LIKE BRAND NEW BUT OVER THE PERIOD OF A YEAR OR SO WE STARTED TO FEEL A SIDE TO SIDE SWAYING (SUCH AS ROCKING IN A BOAT) WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 60 MPH. SINCE WE'VE GOT 4 KIDS AND MY WIFE USES IT AS A DAY TO DAY VEHICLE I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAD THEM TELL ME IT WAS STRUTS (WHICH I HAD REPLACED) AND AFTER BEING REPLACED IT STILL HAD THE SIDE TO SIDE MOVEMENT. IT HAS GOTTEN TO THE POINT I DON'T ALLOW HER TO DRIVE HER NOR THE KIDS BECAUSE OF THE DANGERS. I'VE HAD THE RACK N STEERING, FRONT UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS THE REAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS, STABILIZER BAR BUSHINGS ALONG WITH NUMEROUS OTHER BUSHINGS AND ALL 4 BRAND NEW TIRES. THE DEALERSHIP NOR OTHER INDEPENDENT SHOP KNOWS WHAT ELSE TO REPLACE.
