WHEN APPLYING BRAKES, IT MAKES A SOUND LIKE WATER AND HAS BEEN DOING THAT SINCE PURCHASE 09/17, AND WHEN ACCELERATING THERE'S A JERKING LIKE THE ENGINE IS TRYING TO ENGAGE????? ALL IN MOTION
AIR BAG WARNING FOR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT COMES ON SOMETIMES, AND MAY GO AWAY WHEN A PASSENGER SITS, OR ADJUSTS THE SEAT, HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT ALWAYS GO OFF WHEN THE PASSENGER TRIES TO ADJUST HIS POSITION, OR THE POSITION OF THE SEAT. IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES WHEN IN MOTION, OR SITTING STILL, WITH OR WITHOUT SOMEONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. DRIVEWAY, CITY STREET, HIGHWAY, EXPRESSWAY, MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. WHO KNOWS, MAY BE A LOOSE WIRE, PRESSURE SENSOR, OR SOMETHING ELSE UNKNOWN. DEALER WANTS $105.00 JUST TO CHECK IT OUT. OTHER GM VEHICLES EVER HAVE AN AIR BAG PROBLEM WITH PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG SUBJECT TO RECALL?
SERVICE STABILITRACK/ TRACTION CONTROL OFF DISPLAY ON DASHBOARD WHILE CAR IS IN MOTION. CAR WILL JERK WHILE ACCELERATING AND CRUISE CONTROL DOESN'T WORK. IT WILL RESET AND WORK PROPERLY AFTER TURNING CAR OFF FOR 1-3 MIN AND RESTARTING. IT HAPPENS PERIODICALLY ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AT VARIOUS TIMES AND ON TRIPS OF VARIOUS LENGTHS. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO PATTERN OR PRECURSOR FOR THE MALFUNCTION.
LAST WEEK WHEN MY CAR WAS PARKED, IT DIED. WHEN I GOT BACK IN, I REALIZED IT HAD DIED, AND TRIED TO START IT. WHEN I STARTED IT, ALL OF THESE ERRORS STARTED POPPING UP: "ENGINE POWER REDUCED", "TRACTION CONTROL IS OFF", "SERVICE STABILITRAK". THE POWER WAS DEFINITELY REDUCED, AND I COULD BARELY CREEP ALONG. THE CAR EVEN SHOOK LIKE IT WAS ABOUT TO DIE. THEN WHEN I WAS TRYING TO STOP THE ABS BREAKS CAME ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES. I PARKED AND TURNED IT OFF THEN TURNED IT BACK ON AFTER A MINUTE. IT WAS BACK TO NORMAL EXCEPT THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAD THEM CHECK IT OUT. THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING TO FIX AND SAID TO CALL AGAIN IF ANYTHING HAPPENED AGAIN (THEY DID CHARGE THE BATTERY). I WENT AND PICKED IT UP AND DROVE IT 10 MILES. I PARKED AND SHUT IT OFF. WHEN I CAME BACK OUT TO START IT ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATER, THIS TIME THERE WAS AN ERROR ABOUT THE GUIDELINES ON THE CAMERA SYSTEM NOT WORKING AND THE SAME STABILITRAK ERROR. SO I SHUT IT OFF AND STARTED IT BACK UP. IT SEEMED TO BE FUNCTIONAL AFTER RESTARTING IT. IT WAS OKAY FOR A FEW DAYS UNTIL THE MAJOR ERRORS HAPPENED AGAIN THIS MORNING. I WAS TRYING TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPOT AND IT DID THE SAME THING WITH THE SAME ERRORS THAT I FIRST HAD. IT ACTUALLY WENT TO A TOTAL STOP AND WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD AT ALL. I WAS THANKFUL THAT I WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND NOT ON THE HIGHWAY MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR WITH ME. IT WAS SO SUDDEN, THAT IF WE HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY, I AM SURE I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. I TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN WITH THE SAME ERRORS. SO I TURNED IT OFF AGAIN AND LET IT SIT FOR A MINUTE AND TURNED IT BACK ON. THE ERRORS WERE GONE BUT THE SERVICE LIGHT WAS ON. IT SEEMED FUNCTIONAL AGAIN. THERE ARE TONS OF SIMILAR SITUATIONS REPORTED ONLINE. THE DEALERSHIP IS SUPPOSED TO CHECK IT AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH THE TRACTION CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE POWER OF THE ENGINE REDUCED FROM 60 TO 30 MPH, WHITE SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE. THE MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE 37000. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN A MONTH THAT THIS HAPPENS. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS DONE SOME REPAIRS BUT THE PROBLEMS CONTINUES. I'M CONCERN FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY.
LOSES POWER ON HIGH WAY. BOUGHT CAR BRAND NEW IN 2014. BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2014 AND 20 THOUSAND MILES. BIG SAFETY CONSERN WHEN POWER IS LOST LOSE ABOUT 20 MPH AND THE
MY AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. I'M THINKING THIS SHOULD BE A MANUFACTURER WARRANTY? THIS IS A VERY BIG ISSUE AS IT INVOLVES THE SAFETY OF ALL PASSENGERS IN THE CHEVY TRAVERSE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS IMMEDIATELY!!
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY HEADLIGHTS EVERY MONTH OR TWO. EVERYTIME I USE MY REMOTE START, IT BLOWS A HEADLIGHT.

ON MAJOR HIGHWAY, THEN ON CITY STREET BOTH TIMES ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT FLASH ALONG WITH THE VEHICLE HESITATING, NOT WANTING TO ACCELERATE/SHAKING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN WHENEVER THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WALDORF CHEVROLET AND CADILLAC (2298 CRAIN HWY, WALDORF, MD 20601) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,485.
ON MORE THAT ONE OCCASION BUT MOST RECENTLY ON 03/16/2018 I HAVE DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND I GET THE FIRST MESSAGE OF, "SERVICE STABILITRACT". THE NEXT MESSAGE IS, "TRACTION CONTROL OFF". IT IS THEN FOLLOWING BY, "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. THE VEHICLE THEN DECELERATES TO 10-20 MPH. THIS HAS OCCURRED TO ME TWICE WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY TRAVELLING IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.(NOT WHILE ACCELERATING). THIS HAS OCCURRED WHILE ACCELERATING FROM 0 MPH, 30+ MPH, 60+ PMH AND DECELERATING FROM 60+MPH, 30+MPH AND FROM 0 TO 30 MPH. IT HAS OCCURRED WHILE TURNING A CORNER, DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THE DEALERSHIP SAID TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN AFTER AN INCIDENT WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT EVER HAVING TO STOP AND TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. THE POWER STEERING IS ALMOST NON-EXISTENT AFTER REDUCED ENGINE POWER OCCURS. IT FEELS LIKE IT IS RUNNING ON THREE OF THE SIX CYLINDERS AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. I ALMOST HIT A SCHOOL BUS ONCE. THE VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN FOR IT'S SECOND WEEK OF DIAGNOSTICS.
"SERVICE AIR BAG" MESSAGE DISPLAYED AND AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON IN THE CAR'S INFORMATION CENTER. THE MESSAGE JUST CAME ON WHEN I STARTED MY CAR IN THE MORNING. I'VE HAD THIS CAR FOR 10 MONTHS AND IT HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN NO ACCIDENTS.
WHILE DRIVING THE REDUCE ENGINE SPEED, TRACTION CONTROL, STABILI-TRAC, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHES. THE ENGINE SPEED WAS REDUCED TO A CRAWL. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES NOW AND THE SPEED DOESN'T SEEM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE 30MPH - 65MPH. WHILE WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND GET IT TO DRIVE HOME AFTER 5 MINS, IT IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE AND ESC WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. AFTER WAITING APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES, THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO LOSE ACCELERATION AGAIN AND WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE NEXT DAY, THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO APPLE CHEVROLET IN TINLEY PARK, ILLINOIS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE PEDAL ACCELERATOR SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED IN FEBRUARY OF 2017 AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE SAME DEALER AT THAT TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE IN MOTION, DRIVING IN THICK TRAFFIC. ENGINE JUST DIED, STABILITRAK WARNING ON DASH. UNABLE TO START CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. AFTER WAITING A WHILE, THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND OPERATED NORMALLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO KOONS TYSONS CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (2000 CHAIN BRIDGE RD, VIENNA, VA 22182, (703) 790-9800) WHERE THE IGNITION CONTROL RELAY WAS REPLACED, BUT THE DEALER WAS NOT SURE IF THAT WOULD REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,646.
MY TRANSMISSION SLEEPS A LOT. WHAT THESE MAIN PROBLEM IS SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND THE STABILITRAK. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE CAR I LOSE SPEED I COULD BE ON THE FREEWAY AND MY SPEED DROPS TO ALMOST A STOP. EVERY TIME I TAKE IT INTO THE SERVICE SHOP IT SHOW THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. I'M YEARS OLD AND I NEED CAR THAT'S RELIABLE I'M SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THR [XXX] PARTS OF THIS DOCUMENT HAVE BEEN REDACTED TO PROTECT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *PM
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE TRACTION CONTROL, STABILITRAK WARNING INDICATOR COMES ON AND THEN IMMEDIATELY REDUCES POWER TO THE VEHICLE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. YOU COULD BE DRIVING NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF 70 MPH AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE GOES INTO THIS TRACTION CONTROL, STABILITRAK MODE AND BASICALLY SHUTS THE CAR DOWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES TO ME AND WILL ONLY CLEAR THIS MODE IF THE VEHICLE IS TURN OFF AND SITS FOR A WHILE AND THEN RESTARTED.
BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE WITH STABILITAK AND SENSORS. MY CAR STARTS SHAKING ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED TO 10-15 MPH. TAKEN IT TO DEALESHIP 6 DIFFERENT TIMES AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT THAT THEY CAN FIGURE OUT. ALMOST GOT HIT ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY CAR ABRUPTLY WENT DOWN TO 15MPH WITHOUT ANY WARNING. CAR BEHIND ME HAD TO SWERVE TO THE SIDE TO AVOID IMPACT. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER I'M DRIVING OR SLOWING DOWN FOR A RED LIGHT IT HAPPENS AT ALL DIFFERENT TIMES.
The connector module under the passenger side front seat that control the air bag is consistently triggered by bump or seat movement which sets off service airbag warning light. This therefore puts my car at risk for not properly deflating airbags on impact. This has been fixed at a local shop in 2023 and continues to be a problem for a lot of people. This should be a recall because it puts lives at risk with the airbag system malfunctioning.
MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 45,000 MILES. THE PAST FEW MONTHS, I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE MOTOR AS IT SUDDENLY LOSES POTENCY AS THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON. WHEN THE MOTOR LOSES POTENCY, IT PUTS "TRACK CONTROL ON" AND "TRACK CONTROL OFF" RIGHT AWAY, AS WELL AS A SIGN TO SERVICE "STABILITRACK". I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC AND THEY DID A COMPUTERIZED SCAN WHERE IT SHOWS THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THE OXYGEN SENSOR, LOW AIR ENTRANCE, PROBLEMS WITH THE INJECTORS, LOW VOLTAGE PROBLEM, BRAKE SYSTEM OFF, ETC. IN CONCLUSION, A SERIES OF PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR WHICH ARE NOT REAL. I HAVE SEARCHED ONLINE AND THERE ARE THOUSANDS TO CLAIMS DUE TO THIS SAME PROBLEM I AM HAVING. TO THIS DATE, I HAVE NOT FOUND ANY RECALL OF THE MANUFACTURER TO FIX THIS.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN AN EXIT RAMP ON A HIGHWAY, SUDDENLY A WARNING LIGHT CHIMED AND THE SERVICE STABIL-TRAK/SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL/REDUCED ENGINE POWER MESSAGES COME UP. THE CAR STARTS TO REDUCE SPEED UNTIL IT GETS TO 10-15 MPH. IT ALSO STARTS RUNNING AND IDLING REALLY ROUGH. I WAS ABLE TO LIMP ALONG TO A PARKING LOT. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE CAR WILL NOT DRIVE ANYWHERE. IT HAS TO BE TOWED. THEN SOMEHOW WHEN IT HAS BEEN TURNED OFF FOR A WHILE, IT SUDDENL RUNS FINE AND THE PROBLEM CAN'T BE DUPLICATED. JUST GOT IT BACK FROM THE DEALER AFTER HAVING FOR A WEEK. THE CAR ONLY HAS ABOUT 36,000 MILES ON IT. THIS IS THE 5TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.
TODAY 1/08/2018 AROUND 08:30 I WAS DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY 287 WHEN THE CAR STARTED CHECKING, REDUCING POWER UP TO A COMPLETE STOP. WHEN I LOOK UP, THE STABILITYTRAK/ SERVICE TRACCION CONTROL OFF WAS SHOWING IN THE DASHBOARD. I TRIED TO TURN ON THE CAR, BUT IT WON'T UNTIL UP TO 1 HOUR BY CHANCE WHEN IT STARTED AGAIN WITH ENGINE REDUCED POWER. THIS ISSUE HAVE BEEN THERE EVEN THOUGH I WENT TO THE MECHANIC TWICE, WHERE THEY CLEANED THE THROTLE BODY WHICH APPARENTLY FIXED THE ISSUE BEFORE.
WHILE DRIVING AT 55 +MPH, THE CAR SUDDENLY DINGS AND SERVICE STABIL TRAK, REDUCED ENGINE POWER, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL SUDDENLY COME ON. CAR DRIVES PERFECTLY FINE BEFORE. THE CAR SUDDENLY SHAKES AND IDLES REALLY ROUGH. THE CAR SHAKES WHILE IDLING AND ALL HEAT IS LOST. THE INSIDE WINDOWS OF THE CAR BECOME IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE OUT OF DUE TO FOGGY WINDOWS. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME IN ABOUT A MONTH THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THIS CAR. THE FIRST TIME, AN IGNITION RELAY WAS FIXED. THREE DAYS LATER AFTER GETTING THE CAR BACK, THE CAR DID IT AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME, A CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WAS REPLACED. THE THIRD TIME WAS AGAIN ABOUT 2-3 DAYS AFTER GETTING IT BACK FROM BEING REPAIRED. THE THIRD TIME, THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED AS WELL AS A REMOTE STARTER REMOVED. SOME WIRING WAS REPAIRED. THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER IN THE AFTERNOON FOR THE 4TH TIME. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY. THE CAR IS UNABLE TO DRIVE AND HAS TO BE TOWED TO REPAIR SHOW/DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR.
AIR BAG LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATES WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION ON ANY TYPE OF ROAD. DEALER SAYS IT IS AN ISSUE WITH A SEAT BEAT RETRACTOR. AIR BAG LIGHT ON = AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY N THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. THE QUOTE WAS OVER $500 TO FIX THIS ISSUE.
POWER STEERING IS GOING - OK ON HIGHWAY - ISSUES TURNING/PARKING/BACKING DUE TO POWER STEERING - THIS VEHICLE NO LONGER HAS A GOOD TURN RADIUS AND BECOMES DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER - AT APPROX 40,000 MI
The airbag system does not register the air bag as functional and recommends airbag be serviced. I have been to the dealership and they cannot find the issue. They turned off the light, which turns back on. There is something faulty in the airbag system and I am concerned that if I am in an accident, the system will fail. We have been waiting for a recall and cannot believe it hasn't happened yet.
STABILITY/TRACCION CONTROL ERRORS. THIS ERROR MAKE THE ENGINE TO LOSE POWER AND EVEN TO PUT THE CAR AT COMPLETE STOP. IT IS DANGEROUS BECVAUSE IT CAN HAPPEN ANY TIME EVEN IN THE HIGHWAY.
WHILE DRIVING IN THE MORNING COMMUTE TO WORK, THE CAR WARNING LIGHTS SUDDENLY CHIME WITH SERVICE STABIL-TRAK, REDUCED ENGINE POWER, TRACTION CONTROL OFF. THE CAR SUDDENLY STARTS TO SLOW DOWN. I HAVE ABOUT 1-2 MINUTES BEFORE THE CAR WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. ONCE IT COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN, IT STARTS TO ROUGH IDLE AND THE WHOLE CAR SHAKES. IF I TRY TO SHIFT IT INTO ANY GEAR, IT SHUTS DOWN AUTOMATICALLY. CAR BECOMES UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN AND HAS TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. TYPICALLY ONCE THE REPAIR HAS BEEN MADE, IT IS ABOUT 3 DAYS UNTIL THE ISSUE HAPPENS AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN LEFT STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD 3 SEPARATE TIMES NOW. I HAVE MISSED WORK, BEEN LATE TO WORK, AND HAD TO ASK COWORKERS TO GIVE ME RIDES HOME WHEN IT IS COMPLETELY OUT OF THE WAY. CAR ONLY HAS ABOUT 36,200 MILES ON IT.

THE CAR SUDDENLY REDUCES POWER AND TAKES ABOUT 1-2 MINUTES BEFORE ALL POWER GOES OFF AND CAR WILL NOT DRIVE ANY MORE. ONCE I TRY TO PUT CAR IN ANY KIND OF GEAR AFTERWARDS, CAR SHUTS OFF AND WILL NOT TURN BACK ON. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. CAR HAD TO BE TOWED. DEALERSHIP FIXED A CAMSHAFT/CRANKSHAFT SENSOR. DID NOT WORK.
VEHICLE HAS 67,000 MILES AND IS 3 YEARS OLD. WHILE DRIVING IN RESIDENTIAL AREA THE CAR LOST ITS TRACTION CONTROL AND REDUCED SPEED TO 20MPH. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS INCLUDING BEING REAR ENDED.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK, I HAD SLOWED DOWN BEHIND A BUS AND AS I STARTED TO ACCELERATE AND CAR SUDDENLY SHUTS DOWN. THE ENGINE LIGHT, STABIL TRAK, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, REDUCED ENGINE POWER MESSAGES COME ON. THE CAR SUDDENLY SLOWS DOWN LEAVING 1-2 MINUTES TO GET OVER. ONCE THIS MESSAGE COMES ON, THE CAR SUDDENLY STARTS TO SHAKE HARD ALL OVER AND IDLES REALLY ROUGH. IF I TRY TO SHIFT IT INTO ANY GEAR, IT COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF. THE CAR IS INOPERABLE AND HAS TO BE TOWED. MILEAGE ESTIMATED AT 35,000.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE MY STABILITY TRACK LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON LOSS OF POWER THE CAR JERKS CANNOT CONTROL IT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE THIS IS NOVEMBER 1, 2017 THAT HAPPENED OR FIVE TIMES ALREADY CALL TODAY TO COMPLAIN TO CHEVY MY CAR IS NOW THE DEALERSHIP TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT
41K MILES AND TRANSMISSION SOMETIMES WON'T SHIFT. I EVEN HAD TO PULL OVER TODAY AND SHUT OFF THE CAR AFTER IT WOULDN'T UPSHIFT UP A RESIDENTIAL HILL. 41K MILES AND HAD TO REPLACE FRONT BRAKE PADS ALREADY. THEY HAD PLENTY OF BRAKE LEFT, BUT THEY WERE CRACKED.
ON OCTOBER 13, 2017 I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 50 MPH. WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR DE-ACCELERATED ITS VELOCITY AT 15 TO 20 MPH. THEN NOTICE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAYING TRACTION CONTROL ON AND CYCLING TO OFF. IT ALSO DISPLAYED STABILIZER CONTROL SERVICE WITH A FLASHING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENED WHEN VEHICLES BEHIND ME HAD TO COME TO A REDUCE SPEED ALMOST RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT WITH THE RISK OF GETTING HIT ON THE BACK OR TAIL OF THE VEHICLE. HAD TO PULL OVER CHANGING FROM ONE OF THE TWO MIDDLE LANES AT SLOW VELOCITY WHICH WAS A DANGEROUS MANEUVER TO MAKE IT TO THE SHOULDER. I'VE READ THIS SAME ISSUE ON LINE WITH OTHER OWNERS ON THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE. THEREFORE A RECALL OR AN INVESTIGATION WITH THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE DONE.
SERVICE STABILITRAK, REDUCED ENGINE POWER, TRACTION CONTROL OFF WARNINGS ALL CAME ON WITH NO WARNING OR REASON. VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER AND WOULDN'T MOVE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MANY CHEVY MODELS AND YEARS.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED WITH 39,400 MILES ON IT 4 MTHS AGO. WHILE PRESSING ON THE BRAKE IT MAKES A VERY LOUD AND ANNOYING SQEAKING SOUND. I RETURNED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO BE LOOKED AT AND THEY STATED IT IS IN FACT THE MASTER CYLINDER AFFECTING THE BRAKE, AND IT IS A KNOWN CHEVY TRAVERSE PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED.

I PURCHASED THE CAR IN FEBRUARY 2017 FROM TEXAS AUTO DIRECT. I GOOGLED MY VIN AND IT SAYS NO OPEN RECALLS. I DID NOTICE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. 14 TRAVERSE FUEL LOW LIGHT STAYS ON, EVEN AFTER FILLING THE VEHICLE UP WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS. GAUGE FLUCTUATES AND WE CANNOT TELL EXACTLY HOW MUCH FUEL WE HAVE. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING CHILDREN AROUND.

NO CODES BEING RPEORTED WHEN TAKEN TO DEALER 2X. HAPPENED 5X IN A 20 MINUTE DRIVE, DOING 55-60MPH AND DROPS TO 20 MPH WITH HARDLY ANY STEERING ABILITY. BATTERY GAUGE DROPS BELOW AVERAGE, CAR IDOLS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL. PULL OVER, TURN KEY OFF, REST STARTS UP AGAIN WITH ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. CLEANED THROTTLE FROM ANY BUILD UP (HARDLY ANY) CHECKED FUSES, HOWEVER DID NOT CHECK WIRING TO FUSE BOX (MAY BE THE ISSUE) PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE JUNE 2017. DEALER DEPENDING TO MUCH ON DIAGNOSTIC CODE READER, WHICH IT IS NOT RECORDING. ONLY ONE WAS P1682 AND THEY SAID IT WAS FINE
IN 8/2017 I TOOK MY 2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE WITH 42K MILES TO SHOP FOR SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT THAT CAME ON. SINCE THAT TIME, IN THE PAST 10MONTHS I HAVE HAD AT DEALER 6 TIMES FOR THE SAME THING. I CURRENTLY AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND CANNOT GET CHEVROLET TO CALL ME BACK TO FIX AIRBAG ISSUE ONCE AND FOR ALL. I HAVE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGE AND NO REPLY FROM CHEVY. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT IS PUTTING MY FAMILIES SAFETY AT RISK. I AM NOT VERY HAPPY THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED PROPERLY IN THE 6 TIMES IT HAS BEEN AT A GM DEALER NOR THE FACT CHEVY DOES NOT CARE AND WILL NOT CALL ME BACK. THEY SHOULD HAVE TO BUY BACK THIS CAR IF THEY CANNOT FIX IT CORRECTLY.

DEALER IS AWARE OF ISSUE. 2013 TRAVERSES WERE RECALLED FOR THE SAME ISSUE BUT 2014 ONLY RECEIVED A SERVICE BULLETIN TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY TO 72,000 OR 6 YEARS WHICH EVER CAME FIRST. THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT WORK WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON PUTTING MY CHILDREN AND I AT SERIOUS RISK IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS PROBLEM IS DUE TO A WIRE HARNESS UNDER THE SEAT THAT NEEDS TO BE SOLDERED WITH A SPECIALIZED BY THE DEALER. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THE LONGER THE LIGHT STAYS ON THE LESS OF A CHANCE THE AIRBAGS WILL WORK EVEN AFTER THE REPAIR IS COMPLETED. THERE ARE SO HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME ISSUE FROM OTHER 2014 TRAVERSE OWNERS. I CALLED THE ESTERO BAY CHEVROLET YESTERDAY TO NOTIFY THEM OF THE ISSUE AND THE SERVICE MANAGER KEVIN TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY A $119 DIAGNOSIS FEE AND FOR THE REPAIR TO FIX THE ISSUE. THE REPAIR COULD COST BETWEEN $300 - $1,200. THE DEALER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THIS SAFETY ISSUE.THIS PROBLEM IS BECAUSE OF THEIR CHOICE TO USE LOW QUALITY PARTS OR THEIR MANUFACTURING IN THE FACTORY AND NOT A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ISSUE. I CAN NOT AFFORD TO FIX THIS ISSUE AND AM CONCERNED THAT THERE IS A CHANCE EVEN AFTER PAYING FOR THE REPAIRS THAT MY AIRBAGS WILL NOT WORK TO PROTECT MY FAMILY IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT.

AFTER READING SEVERAL REVIEWS ON LINE OF OTHER PEOPLE WITH LOW MILES HAVING THE SAME ISSUES, I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL, NOT A PAY $1200 OUT OF POCKET TO HAVE IT FIXED!
WHEN I DRIVE CAR WHEELS, TRANSMISSION AND POWER TRAIN FREEZE UP FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS TO A MINUTE INTERMITTENTLY WHILE I DRIVE. THIS IS HAPPENING WITH MORE FREQUENCY WHILE I DRIVE. IT HAPPENS WHETHER I AM DRIVING 5 MPH OR 65 MPH.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED, AND SHORTLY AFTER NOTICED THERE WAS A SQUEAKING SOUND WHENEVER YOU DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY DEDUCED IT WAS THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THEY SAID THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE TRAVERSE BUT IT HAD NOT BEEN RECALLED YET. I SPENT OVER $400 GETTING THIS FIXED.
