WAS HIT FROM THE BACK, AND BOTH HEAD REST DEOYED. HOW IS THIS SAFE? IT CAUSED MORE PROBLEMS THAN THE WRECK ALONG.
I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER 200, 2013 FROM MANHATTAN CHRYSLER. THIS CAR IS A LEMON IT HAS A BAD TRANSMISSION AND THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES LOCK AT RANDOM. I TOOK THE CAR TO MANHATTAN CHRYSLER FOR REPAIR WHEN IT ONLY HAD 21,000MI. THEY RECOGNIZED THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AFTER THE SECOND VISIT. CHRYSLER SAID THAT THE BRAKE ARE NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. AFTER THEY REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION THE VEHICLE STILL DIDN'T PERFORM THE TRANSMISSION CONTINUED TO SLIP IN SECOND GEAR. I RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO CHRYSLER, NOW THE FOURTH TIME IN REPAIR. AT THIS POINT, I WAS DIRECTED TO THE RECONSIDERATION DEPT. THEY OFFERED AS COMPENSATION A ONE TIME CAR PAYMENT OF $493.13'I WAS ABSOLUTELY INSULTED BECAUSE I PAID $39.505.00 WITH FINANCE CHARGES. I SOUGHT LEGAL HELP BUT THEY WEREN'T MUCH HELP. I WAS TOLD BY LEMON LAW ATTY. THAT LITIGATION WOULD TAKE 2 YRS. AND I MAY NOT EVEN RECEIVE $4,000.00. CHRYSLER, TOTALLY DISREGARDED MY ATTORNEY AND WOULD NOT CORRESPONDED TO ANY PHONE CALLS OR LETTER ON MY BEHALF FROM THE ATTY. I AM A VETERAN AND I AM TOTALLY DISABLED WITH A SEVERE BACK INJURY AND I USE A CANE TO WALK BECAUSE I FALL OFTEN. MY MOM RECENTLY HAD A SEVERE STROKE SHE IS NOW IN REHAB 45MIN. AWAY AND I DON'T HAVE TRANSPORT ION TO GO CHECK ON HER. I VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER MY VEHICLE TO THE FINANCE CO. NOW MY CREDIT REPORT REFLEX A $16,000.00. DEFAULT FOR THE LEMON I PURCHASE AT CHRYSLER. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACTIVATE THE HEAT IN THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE UNDER THE DASHBOARD OF THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE ONCE THE FAN STARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000. UPDATED 02/26/16*LJ *CN
The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the front passenger's side seat headrest deployed and struck the back of the head of the front passenger seat occupant. Additionally, the contact stated that the front driver's side seat headrest deployed while the contact was occupying the seat on another occasion. There were no injuries sustained by the driver or passenger seat occupant. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The dealer was charging a fee for the headrests replacement, but the contact declined to pay for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V640000 (Seats, Air Bags); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
THE AUTOMOBILE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING, HORN BLOWS AT ANYTIME, PAINT CHIPPING ON HOOD
ON APPROXIMATELY 7/14/15, UPON ACCELERATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION, MY CHRYSLER 200 HESITATED ON TAKE OFF. I HAD TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND SLOWLY TRY ACCELERATING AGAIN, STILL WITH HESITATION, BUT FINALLY TAKING OFF. THERE WAS SLIGHT HESITATION AS MY VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING, THEN THE FUEL SEEMED TO CATCH UP. THIS HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES RANDOMLY SINCE 7/14/15. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 7/23/15 AS IT IS STILL UNDER MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY, EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, AND THEY SAID THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS, THAT "NO CODES" SHOWED UP ON THE COMPUTER. THIS PROBLEM APPEARS TO EFFECT THE ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM AND SPEED CONTROL. I WAS VERY CONCERNED EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED OF BEING INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. I WILL CONTINUE TO BE CONCERNED UNTIL THIS PROBLEMS IS RESOLVED. I INTEND TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THIS PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDSHIELD CHIP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. WE FILED A COMPLAINT FOR THIS ISSUE PREVIOUSLY AND THE SAME PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED AGAIN. WILL TAKE TO DEALER WHEN THEY OPEN TOMORROW TO HAVE DIAGNOSED. I DROVE IT DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE, AND AFTER A TEST DRIVE THEY CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS NOT SHIFTING BUT STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND A CODE INDICATING ANY PROBLEM. THEY RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT BEGAN TO FUNCTION NORMALLY AGAIN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE WINDSHIELD WIPER WAS ACTIVATED, THEN THE HEADLIGHT WAS ABLE TO FUNCTION AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED ON INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,730.
THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN TO ME BUT I DO OWN THE CAR NOW THAT IT HAPPENED TO. PASSENGER HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED, DEALER DIDN'T WANT TO BUY A NEW ONE TO REPLACE IT SO THERE LOOKING FOR A JUNK YARD ONE. MY QUESTION IS THAT I WAS TOLD THIS WAS A LEASED VEHICLE IN OKLAHOMA WHY WASN'T THIS FIXED THERE?! IS IT A SAFETY HAZARD! ITS DESTRACTING AS IM LOOKING OR TRYING TO SEE OUT THE RD SIDE OF MY CAR TO CHANGE LANES. PLUS ITS JUST UGLY ALL SPLIT OPEN LIKE THAT. PLUS I ONLY GOT ONE KEYFOB FOR BEING A LEASE IT SURE WASN'T CARED FOR LIKE I THOUGHT. COULD THIS VEHICLE HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE HEADREST EXPLODING? I ASKED BUT THEY SAID NO. WHILE PARKED AND EXITING THE VEHICLE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, THE SILVER FINISHING FROM THE DOOR HANDLE CUT THE MIDDLE FINGER OF THE PASSENGER AND CAUSED THE FINISHING TO DETACH FROM THE HANDLE. THE PASSENGER DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,100.
31 DAYS AFTER PURCHASING MY VEHICLE THE BLOWER FOR THE HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING BEGAN TO SPUTTER AND WORK SPORADICALLY THEN COMPLETELY QUIT A WEEK OR SO LATER AS A RESULT AN ESSENTIALLY NEW VEHICLE HAS NO HEATBAND NO DEFROST WHICH I'VE LEARNED IS DANGEROUS WHEN IT'S RAINING AS I CAN'T SEE OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD. I BELIEVE THIS IS AM ELECTRICAL ISSUE NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE BLOWER BROKE BUT SOMETIMES THE POWER WINDOWS WILL STOP WORKING THEN WORK AGAIN. WARNING LIGHTS WILL FLASH ON FOR NO REASON THEN DISAPPEAR. THE GAS LIGHT WILL STAY ON LONG AFTER GAS HAS BEEN PUT IN THE CAR DO THAT I HAVE TO TURN THE COMPLETELY OFF THEN BACK ON TO MAKE IT GO AWAY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
AFTER 14000 MILES FRONT BRAKES NEED TO BE REPLACED. ALSO OWN A 2011 CHRYSLER 200, ALSO NEEDED TO REPLACE FRONT BRAKES AT 19000 MILES. I BELIEVE CHRYSLER IS USING POOR MATERIAL FOR THERE FRONT BRAKES. SINCE I REPLACED THE 2011 BRAKES, WITH AUTO ZONE PARTS, I HAVE GONE OVER 40,000 MILES MORE AND BRAKES ARE STILL GOOD. WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT IF THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. THANK YOU. *TR

STARTING OVER 1 YEAR AGO, MY CAR HAS PULLED TO THE RIGHT AT ALL TIMES AND MORE DRASTICALLY AT HIGHER SPEEDS. THE STEERING WHEEL ALSO STARTS VIBRATING AND SHAKING WHEN OVER 55 MPH. THIS CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 10 TIMES FOR ALIGNMENTS, NEW STRUTS, NEW TIE RODS, NEW TIRES, AND SEVERAL OTHER FIXES. NONE OF THESE REPAIRS HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM, AND SOME OF THESE ACTUALLY MADE IT WORSE. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR AND FEAR CRASHING DUE TO THE EXTREME PULL TO THE RIGHT. I JUST PICKED IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THEY ADJUSTED THE CAMBERS AND ALIGNED IT TO PULL TO THE LEFT TO COMPENSATE THE RIGHT PULL, WHICH DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.
WAS DRIVING ON I95N COMING FROM FLORIDA AND ABOUT 12AM MY CAR WAS FEELING VERY LOOSE IN THE FRONT AND SO THEN MY STEERING POWER WAS GONE AND THE CAR WENT OUT OF CONTROL AND WE CRASH ONTO THE RIGHT SIDE RAILING AND THEN AGAIN ON THE LEFT SIDE AND THE CAR WENT FLYING INTO THE DITCH. TURN ON HEATER GET CLICKING NOISE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS, THEN STOPS. YOU WOULD THINK THAT AFTER ALL THIS TIME CHRYSLER, WOULD BE SMART ENOUGH TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS CAR HAS 36200 MILES AND IS A 2013. NO CAR SHOULD START HAVING THESE ISSUES AT THIS STAGE. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A CHRYSLER, BEFORE AND PROBABLY NEVER WILL AGAIN. I AM WRITING FOR THE FIRST TIME OF A DEAL WITH MY 2013 CHYSLER 200 BOUGHT IN 8/2013. THE GAS MILEAGE HAS BEEN TERRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST. I WENT TO DO A TRADE IN FOR A 2015 AND WAS TOLD BY THE CAR DEALERSHIP CHRYSLER IN AVONDALE, AZ THAT THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE A CERTAIN SERIAL NUMBER AND SO IS NOT TRADEABLE WITH CHRYSLER DUE TO A DROP IN BLUE BOOK VALUE SOON AFTER I PAID FULL PURCHASE PRICE AT THAT TIME OF $19,000. WITH ALL GAP INSURANCE ETC. I PAID $27,000 FOR THIS CAR. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE CAR HAS THAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS NOT AWARE OF AND DROPPED THE VALUE DOWN SO LOW IT IS NOT EVEN TRADEABLE OR BUY BACK VALUE IS SO LOW EVEN CHRYSLER WONT TAKE IT. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE SITUATION. I AM A FORD CAR PERSON AND I HAVE GIVEN CHRYSLER A CHANCE FOR THE LAST 8 EIGHT YEARS AND WAS HAPPY WITH CHRYSLER UP UNTIL THIS POINT WHERE I AM STUCK WITH A 2013 CAR THAT IS NOT TRADEABLE WITH THE VERY COMPANY THAT MADE IT. I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE MONEY NOR DOES THE BANK WHO LOANED ME THE MONEY FOR IT, WANT TO LOSE ON THE TRANSACTION OF THIS CAR. I WILL GO BACK TO BUYING FORDS ASAP IF THIS ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY LEAVING WORK, I GOT UP TO ROUGHLY 55MPH WHEN MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THEY CAN NOT GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY A VEHICLE THAT IS LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD AND LESS THAN 30K MILES SUDDENLY STOPPED WITHOUT WARNING. THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL ISSUED BY CHRYSLER FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT ONE OF THE ONES COVERED UNDER THE RECALL ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER. NO CHECK ENGINE OR CHECK BATTERY LIGHTS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT NEARLY EVERY LIGHT ON MY DASH LIT UP AND THE VEHICLE JUST SHUT OFF, THE SPEEDOMETER WENT FROM 55 TO 0 AND I WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO COAST OFF OF THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT INCIDENT SINCE I HAD JUST GOTTEN ON AND WAS GETTING UP TO SPEED I HAD NOT LEFT THE RIGHT LANE YET. HAD I BEEN ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE HIGHWAY THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE EASILY LED TO SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIMED THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME, I HAVE ALSO SPOKEN WITH A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY AND WAS INFORMED THAT SINCE IT DID NOT END IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH THAT IT MUST HAPPEN AGAIN BEFORE THEY CAN HELP ME. I HAVE HAD A BRAKES PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. I REPORTED IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID FOR ME TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER THE DEALER WANTED TO CHARGE ME A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO CHECK IT OUT. SO I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND HAD MY BRAKES CHANGE. I STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES LIGHT COMING ON. I ALSO WAS REAR ENDED AND BOTH AIRBAGS WAS DEPLOYED.THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT.I DON'T KNOW WHY THE PASSENGER AIRBAG CAME OUT.

I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH MY CHRYSLER 200, I HAVE 39540 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE, AND MY PROBLEM STARTED ON 11/11/14. AS I WAS DRIVING I COULD HEAR AND FEEL A POPPING IN MY STEERING COLUMN. I WAS DRIVING AT 5 MPH WHEN I NOTICED IT, I PULLED OVER TO CHECK TIRES. IT IS REALLY NOTICEABLE WHEN MAKING TURNS VERSES JUST DRIVING STRAIGHT. MY SON TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP, AND UPON INSPECTION, THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE TIE RODS AND RACK AND PINION ARE WORN AND HAVE A LOT OF PLAY. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN JULY 2013 AND SHOULD NOT BE HAVING A SERIOUS ISSUES WITH STEERING MECHANISM, WHICH THEY SAY IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 65 MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT POPPED OPEN AND STRUCK HER IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD CAUSING HEAD AND NECK PAIN. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT BEFORE. *TR
THE BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING, PARK, STOP SIGNS, AND ON THE FREEWAY. MY DAUGHTER HAVE THE SAME CAR YEAR AND MODEL AND SHE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I REPORTED IT TO CHRYSLER AND THE REFER ME TO A DEALER IN ONTARIO. THE DEALER SAID THAT I NEEDED BRAKES. I WENT TO MY MECHANIC AND HAD BOTH FRONT AND BACK BRAKES INSTALLED BUT THE BRAKE LIGHT STILL COMES ON.
ON OCTOBER 28TH, 2014 I DROPPED MY CAR OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR WITH COMPLAINTS OF ELECTRICAL ISSUES. THE ALARM WAS PERFORMING WITH UNPREDICTABLE TENDENCIES AND WAS NOT DISARMING IN ORDER TO ENTER THE CAR. AFTER DRIVING A RENTAL FOR TWO WEEKS THAT CAME OUT OF MY POCKET THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMED THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM IN ORDER TO FIX IT.I WAS FORCED TO TAKE THE CAR BACK KNOWING THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED.THE RANDOM ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS PROGRESSED AND THE CAR IGNITION BEGAN HAVING SERIOUS ISSUES. ONCE THE KEY WAS TURNED TO 'OFF ' THE CAR WOULD RESTART AND THE INDICATOR LIGHT WOULD SAY 'KEY IN IGNITION' ALTHOUGH THE KEY HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. I WOULD HAVE TO TURN AND HOLD THE KEY TO THE 'ON' POSITION FOR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE THE CAR WOULD TURN OVER. ON DECEMBER 15TH, 2014 I ATTEMPTED TO PUT THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION AND THE ENGINE DID NOT TURN OVER AT ALL.I REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION AND THE ENGINE BEGAN TO MAKE THE SOUNDS AS IF IT WAS GOING TO TURN OVER AT LEAST 10 TIMES WHILE THE KEY WAS OUT OF THE IGNITION. ON JANUARY 15TH, 2015 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE SERVICE REP AT THE DEALERSHIP. HE SAID THAT HE WAS ADVISED BY MY CASE MANAGER AT CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE TO CALL AND TELL ME THAT I HAD TO COME AND PICK UP MY CAR ALTHOUGH THE PROBLEM HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED. THE SERVICE REP SAID THAT THEY HAD REPLACED THE TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE), THE BATTERY, AND THE CLOCK THAT FLICKERS YET THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES REPEATED EVEN AFTER THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TIPM. HE CONTINUED TO SAY THAT THE CHRYSLER ENGINEERS DID NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS CAR IS STILL WITHIN THE FORMAL LEMON LAW RIGHTS PERIOD 'AND I AM ASKING CHRYSLER FOR APPROPRIATE ACTION IN A TIMELY MANNER. *TR
OCT 2014 I REMOTE STARTED MY CAR. MY GRANDSON WAS IN THE CAR, WHEN I CAME OUTSIDE I SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE. GAS FUMES WAS COMING THROUGH THE VENTS AND GAS WAS LEAKING, TOOK TO OLATHE DODGE THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT. 3 FUEL INJECTORS AND LOOSE HOSE. JAN 2014, SAME THING HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THIS TIME A LOUD CLANG, STRONG GAS FUMES CAME THROUGH THE VENTS AND I PARKED AND HAD IT TOWED BACK TO OLATHE DODGE. THEY FIXED AGAIN. I GOT MY CAR BACK AND TOOK IT 2 BLOCKS AND IT WAS SMOKING BLUE/BLACK SMOKE REALLY BAD, I TOOK IT BACK TO OLATHE DODGE. THEY CALLED ME 6 DAYS LATER AND SAID IT WAS FIXED, I TOOK OFF WORK TO PICK IT UP GOT IN THE CAR THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS BACK ON AND COULD STILL SMELL GAS. THEY KEPT THE CAR AND GAVE ME RENTAL AND CALLED BACK 7 DAYS LATER. THIS TIME IT WAS FIXED. ON FEB 17, I WAS GOING TO HOSPITAL TO SEE MY NEW GRANDSON, I GOT OFF WORK STARTED DRIVING AND THE GAS FUMES WERE BACK IN MY CAR. I KEPT DRIVING TO THE HOSPITAL WITH THE WINDOW DOWN ABOUT 2 INCHES BECAUSE GAS FUMES COMING THROUGH VENTS. I LEFT MY CAR AT HOSPITAL AND CALLED OLATHE DODGE. THEY SAID TO BRING IT DOWN TO THEM. I DROVE IT TO OLATHE KNOWING THAT THE FUMES WAS COMING THROUGH THE VENTS. ON FEB 18TH I WENT TO DR. BECAUSE MY FACE WAS SWOLLEN AND RED. THE DR. SAID THAT I WAS WALKING IN THE COLD, WHICH CAUSED ME TO GET WIND BURNED. I WORK IN DOORS. I CALLED POISON CONTROL TO SEE WHAT I CAN DO. WHEN I SHIFT FROM 1 GEAR TO THE OTHER THERE IS A NOISE AND A JERK. THE RPM ALSO GOES UP VERY HIGH WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE AS IF IT IS NOT ABLE TO SHIFT GEARS. CAR DROVE PERFECTLY FINE WHEN PURCHASED NEW 18MONTHS.AGO. BUT AFTER HAVING IT FOR 3MONTHS. THINGS STARTED TO GO WRONG. FIRST INCIDENT WAS WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL IT HAS FAILED TO SHUT OFF FOR ME 3X. APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES DIDN'T HELP OR SOLVE THE PROBLEM EITHER. AFTER MULTIPLE TIMES OF PRESSING THE OFF BUTTON IT SHUT OFF AFTER PUTTING THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. TOOK IT TO CAR DEALER SHIP & THE COMPUTER WAS UPDATED BUT NO ISSUES FOUND. ON MANY OCCASIONS MY CAR HAS SEEMED TO HAVE SHIFTING PROBLEMS ESPECIALLY COMING OUT OF 1ST GEAR. TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP & NO ISSUES FOUND THE MECHANIC SAID CAR SEEMED FINE BUT TO RETURN IF PROBLEM RETURNED. THE PROBLEM STILL COMES AND GOES BUT I TRY TO IGNORE IT BECAUSE THE SHIFTING ISSUE DIDN'T SEEM ANY WORSE. BUT NOW RECENTLY IN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS ANOTHER PROBLEM IS OCCURRING MY TIRE PRESSURE IS ALWAYS OFF CHECKING IT ALMOST DAILY. I BROUGHT MY CAR IN AND PURCHASED NEW TIRES. TWICE THE HEADLIGHTS FLASHED ON FOR LESS THAN 1/4 SECOND BEFORE TURNING OFF. AFTER DRIVING 10 MILES TO THE NEAREST EXIT AND EXITED I-4 AND STOPPED THE CAR. AT THIS TIME IT WAS ONLY DRIZZLING AND NO SPRAY FROM OTHER CARS OR TRUCKS. TURNED THE HEADLIGHTS OFF AGAIN AND ON AND THIS TIME THEY STAYED ON FOR THE LAST 50 MILES WHERE WE HAD ONLY DRIZZLE AND NO SPRAY FROM ANY CARS OR TRUCKS. DROVE THE CAR ANOTHER 200 MILES BUT NEVER IN ANYTHING BUT MILD DRIZZLE BUT ALWAYS IN THE DAYLIGHT BUT COULD NOT TELL ANY MALFUNCTION. WILL RETURN TO ENTERPRISE TODAY AND REPORT INCIDENT TO THEM. *TR

WE DRIVE A 2013 CHRYSLER 200, 3.6L V6. WE HAVE 12,500 MILES ON THE CAR. THIS MONTH WE ARE EXPERIENCING A STALLING PROBLEM AT SLOW SPEEDS WHEN GETTING READY TO STOP. I TOOK THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM EXISTED AT HIGH SPEEDS. I SET THE CRUISE CONTROL AND IT DIED TWO TIMES IN TEN MINUTES. THE CAR STARTED BACK UP WITH NO PROBLEMS. I CHECKED ON LINE TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS ON MY 200. THERE IS AN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 13V043000 (FEB 06,2013) THAT IS CATEGORIZED AS FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. THIS MAY BE THE ISSUE BUT THE CHRYSLER DEALER DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AS A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. THIS RECALL IS FOR A GAS TANK THAT HAS A BROKEN CONTROL VALVE IN THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY. I THINK THAT MY PROBLEM WITH THE CAR COULD BE ONE THAT WAS DISCOVERED TWO YEARS AGO ON 2011 CHRYSLER 200 WITH 3.6L V6 ENGINES. MY CAR HAS SHUT OFF WHEN IDLING OR COMING TO A STOP WITHOUT A WARNING SIGN AND NO DASH INDICATOR LIGHT. I TURNED THE KEY TO OFF AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. IT STARTED RIGHT AWAY AND I BELIEVE THAT IT LET ME START IT WHILE IT WAS STILL IN DRIVE. MY CAR HAS STALLED (4) TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK. THE NHTSA OPENED AN INVESTIGATION INTO STALLING PROBLEMS ON JUNE 22, 2012. IT COVERED AN ESTIMATED 87,288 VEHICLES. CHRYSLER ANNOUNCED THEY HAD IDENTIFIED A POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DEFECT IN THEIR 3.6L ENGINES. THE PCM WAS INITIATING A PURGE MONITOR CHECK WHILE THE ENGINE WAS AT IDLE OR SLOWING DOWN. THE PURGE RESULTED IN AN "OVERLY RICH VAPOR CONDITION THAT CAUSED THE ENGINE TO STALL". CHRYSLER DEVELOPED A SOFTWARE PATCH WHICH REPROGRAMS THE PCM. THE PATCH WAS RELEASED AS PART OF A "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM" IN SEPTEMBER 2012. THE NHTSA CLOSED THE INVESTIGATION AND DID NOT FORCE CHRYSLER TO ISSUE A RECALL BECAUSE CHRYSLER CLASSIFIED THE PROBLEM AS "LOW RISK". *TR
I BELIEVED THAT I HAD A FLAT TIRE FROM A NAIL STUCK IN THE TREAD BUT AFTER OBSERVING IT CLOSER I FOUND THAT THE NAIL DID NOT PENETRATE THE TIRE, THAT MY FLAT WAS CAUSED BY A SPLIT IN THE SIDE WALL. *TR

I HAVE HAD MY CHRYSLER 200 CONVERTIBLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP 6 TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THE LAST TIME THEY SAID THEY CAN'T FIX IT. OBVIOUSLY, THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR SOME TIME AS I'VE INVESTIGATED. IF THEY KNEW THIS, WHY WOULD YOU SELL A CAR TO SOMEONE? TO ME, THIS IS A FRAUDULENT ACT WHEREBY THEY INTENTIONALLY MISREPRESENTED THIS VEHICLE AND SOLD IT TO ME ANYWAY. NOW THEY SAY CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, BUT DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO RESOLVE IT. WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT TO CHRYSLER, NOT ONLY THAT THEY CAN'T RESOLVE IT, BUT EVERY TIME I STOP, IT'S AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THEM. *TR
ON THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT AT NIGHT AFTER 75 FEET THEIR IS A BLACK SHADOW. LEAVING YOU BLIND WHEN DRIVING THRU STREETS AND HILLSIDE AT NIGHT. TRAVELING AT 75 MPH ON HIGHWAY LEAVES NO TIME TO STOP. HAVE TAKEN INTO DEALER AND TOLD THAT CHRYSLER SAYS THIS IS NORMAL WILL NOT FIX EVEN THOUGH THEY FEEL IT IS A HAZARD. TALKED WITH OTHER OWNER THEY ALSO SAY IT IS A PROBLEM FOR THEM AND HAVE QUIT DRIVING AT NIGHT. HAVE A PRINTOUT FROM CHRYSLER STATING THE ABOVE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TURN SIGNAL FAILED TO WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THE FIRST TIME THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE SECOND TIME THEY CLEARED THE CODE AND THE THIRD REPAIR OF REPLACING THE CONTROL MODULE, WHICH FAILED TO REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO SEE THE WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
